I need idol Shang Qinghua to be manifested.

Give me an AU where Qinghua used to be trained as an idol but never got to debut and got saddled with trainee debt. And now in his next life, it's just him inexplicably serving out pop songs millenias ahead of his time, and everyone is so confused by him.

Let me have the former Qing Jing Peak biting his paperwork after not picking Shang Qinghua as a disciple only for him to be an amazing singer with a bunch of songs from foreign lands in his arsenal. Have this become a one-sided rivalry with Shen Jiu trying to one-up SQH and trying to understand where these songs (K-pop and soft indie girl music) are coming from. Watch Shang Qinghua as he plays extremely sad songs (Laufey and Avery Lynch) about experiences of love and losing it.

I just know Mobei-Jun would love to be serenaded. He finds a drawer full of love songs and thinks the songs are about him. Or finding absolutely devastating music about heartbreak and thinking he has neglected Shang Qinghua.

(Neither is true, It's just Shang Qinghua writing down song lyrics before he forgets them again.)

I know everyone likes to concept of IWTV vamps losing their ability to make good art when they become vampires but, I actually like the idea that sometimes people/vampires just aren't that talented lmaoooo. But immortal vampires have the money and the time to pursue artistic hobbies, plus the desire to reconnect with humanity, so they do so anyway despite a lack of talent.

Like Marius for example is exactly the type of asshole who would be only a semi-decent painter, but use his money and power and influence to insert himself into the art world like he belonged there.

And if Armand is to be believed, Lestat wasnt a bad actor at all.

Like sorry bout it but maybe Louis just isnt a great photographer! And the reason it stings so much is because filthy sack-of-blood humans would dare tell a vampire "maybe you're just not cut out for this."

We know vampires are only supposed to turn only the most attractive humans. Who is more unearnedly confident in their artistic abilities than hot people?

Allegedly Rhaenyra will carry a sword starting next season and it's per Emma D'Arcy's request? Quote from them in a recent interview:

“All the men in the show don’t have to worry about where they put their hands because they’re constantly holding the pommel of their sword. That obviously sounds like innuendo and you can do with that what you will but that is true. And all the rest of us are going, 'Where do we put our f—king hands?' Anyway, next year one hand is going to be taken care of. That’s what I want. I want a sword and I’ve been really clear about that with Ryan and I think that’s happening.”

While I understand that yes! Wouldn't it be cool for a female character to carry a sword and be a warrior queen and fight to change the world? Hell yeah! But is this Rhaenyra's character as it fits into the narrative of the story and universe in which she lives? Absolutely not, never was, and it diminishes the story to alter it so significantly yet again.

And for what? Is the creative team really so clueless about what to do for the writing that they're letting the actors run the show again, just like they've done in the past, including the Mysaria kiss that was never mentioned again and led to nothing? It's very clear that everyone in the creative team has fundamentally incorrect views about this story, it's characters, and the world it's set in.

The failures of this adaptation continue to truly astound and disappoint me in ways I did not think were possible.

someone who completely gets a kick out of him having the “i can do you better” complex and embellishes their sex stories to get him all riled, only for it to HORRIBLY backfire when he locks them up for hours just to fuck them senseless :(

Ahhh, this is def a me problem, but I just can't see Price with a brat, or being a "brat-tamer." At least, the version of him that I write has zero tolerance for it. He might put up with it once if he really wanted you, but I think he'd be extremely clear about what he expects after that, and if you can't pick up on the dynamic, then he's not sticking around.

So I can't really do the brat/brat tamer thing any justice at all, but besides that, he really doesn't care about your sexual history in the slightest. Your past is your past, and sussing it out to do it better would be a one-time thing solely for his own ego because he's wickedly possessive.

He def likes competence, imo, but there's a big difference between a confident/competent person trying to rile him up, and brat being intentionally disrespectful. It's a line I think you'd have to tread carefully with Price.
