28) How they feel about Elizaveta

He was attracted to her power that's for sure and the Darkling is generally attracted to what a person can do and not how they look. Because even though Elizaveta was a beautiful woman I don't think he felt romantically attracted to her a) since she's Grisha and him having a relationship with a fellow of his kind is unlikely to me b) he wasn't interested in her enough to pursue her this way.

Interestingly I find their dynamic kinda similar to Alarkling. The Darkling was obsessed with Alina and wanted to have her. But Alina turned him away. And we also have Elizaveta who is obsessed with the Darkling and wants to have him. But the Darkling turned her away. It's amusing and funny to me because the Darkling is NOT in love with her and I'm sure he never wanted something more from her but her powers and her alliance with him. He considered her annoying and foolish. She got him in his nerves. I don't think he felt flattered by her loving admiration, even before KoS. That much attention from a woman that doesn't interest him is bothersome to him.

(Just imagine the mighty Darkling running away from her screaming: "LEAVE ME ALONEE!!"😭)

So yeah even though Elizaveta had a huge crush on him and wanted something more to happen between them, Aleksander wasn't interested. I bet he was more concerned with Ravka, the Grisha and his plans to spend his energy with a woman that gave him heart eyes. So he kept it strictly professional (that doesn't mean though that he didn't use his seduction skills to make her like him and join him, right? 👀 Although I think it kinda backfired because she got some serious feelings about him and he was like "...fuck. now she doesn't leave me alone")
