I don't like any of the maps I've seen for HTTYD so i'm playing a puzzle game w all the locations. This is the 3rd version so far

Now let's wrap up this week's weird and wacky location by taking a look at some exteriors as well as the interior of some of the outbuildings!!

Down a long overgrown driveway lies this incredible abandoned farmhouse. Surrounded by farm fields this property has been sitting for at least 20 years untouched and nature truly has taken over. The house and land are full of possessions that the owners Paul and Claire left behind after their deaths.

They were married in 1947 and Paul is of Ukrainian descent.

Paul was a farmer and has spent his retirement years making sculptures as a way to try and stay young by keeping his mind busy. He would scavenge the local dump for things he could use in his pieces as well as repurposing his old farming machinery. The driveway was lined with windmills and steel flower sculptures, which were all products of his creativity. He also liked to make things that moved such as swings made from various found objects.

If you dig deeper into the overgrowth you would see that he was a bit of a hoarder of large items, with cars from as early as the 50s, a hospital gurney and even an old porcelain autopsy table!

But the collections didn't stop in the yard, Claire also enjoyed collecting and one of the rooms in the house was filled with her obsession.

The farm was a popular spot for passersby to stop and take photos, it was a bit of a tourist attraction. But this also brought some unwanted attention to his property, with thieves targeting his farm. He erected a fence and put in a gate and cemented his sculptures into the ground along the fenceline.

Claire passed away in 1999 followed by her husband Paul in 2003. The property has sat abandoned ever since and stands as a memorial to their lives.

I’ve been feeling Créa creep up on me as of late and today I went back and reread my little document where I type up random ideas for scenes/fics and I was like. Wow who wrote this. This is really good. Why isn’t there more of this damn. But also wow I really put miss créa through the blender and she is a fine red mist a lot. But that is the life of a ranger…and even when she’s not a ranger anymore I press blend on high and she is sadly used to that

The hills rose to meet the peak, the swell of their long curves reminding Briengr of waves as he tilted his head back a little to breathe in the air.

Above them, the mountains rose, tier upon massive tier, to block the horizon with their snaggle-toothed bulk. Briengr had feared that he and Roland would have difficulty locating the trail to that arcane temple he'd been prattling on about, but the path was obvious. It was a simple spur on the one he and Roland had followed the previous day while descending from the range's foothills. The slow-building strain on the back of his thighs and calves began to tell as the pathway continued to rise.

It had been carved into the mountain's flank by the passing of countless feet from years, perhaps eons ago. Briengr wondered whether the Breton had ever followed this route or whether it was a way that fewer human passers-by had left. Some of the aged signs that had been scratched into the rock were shaped in the form of a crude eye, but whether they were warnings of another arcane presence or territorial claim markers left by some unknown entities themselves, the Altmer could not tell.

While he was becoming increasingly anxious, Roland looked like he was enjoying the walk. The sweet Breton appeared to be cheered at the thought of encountering these mystical ruins and took the slope in his stride without any apparent effort. 'I cannot blame him. Mages covet such discoveries in search of the ancient magics,' thought Briengr with exasperated fondness. He picked his way along the slippery path with no difficulty, finding footholds where a mortal man could see none. Briengr was in an environment he was adapted to, as he had spent many years traveling across such terrain.

And yet, exhaustion and boredom were beginning to grow.

Sweat rolled down Briengr's broad back, and his breathing became heavy. He had thought himself toughened by the long trip from Morthal, but the effort to climb these hills was sore. He was worried about his ability to handle the arduous climb. It would be worse if the clouds made good on their threat of rain. The harshness of the landscape, all jutting rocks and windswept ground matched the bleakness of his mood. Briengr seethed with annoyance as he practically grabbed Roland by the shoulder and bade him cease. "We still have only a week left to get to your prized temple." He was parched, uncorking a small water flask and swigging the cold liquid…only to notice Roland eyeing the scar that decorated the back of his golden hand.

Ah.

"Falmer," he explained with a slight grimace. "The little fucker had taken me by surprised and bit my hand." Another grimace, and this time, he rubbed the spot as if recalling that painful memory. "Whatever filth that had built up in its mouth almost killed me. Stayed in bed for months trying to stave off the infection with herbs."

With one last swig, Briengr smacked his lips and clapped Roland on the back. "But at least I earned another glorious scar! With any luck, you'll earn one on your lovely face! That would make for a great story!" And an impressive scar it would be. Most mages preferred their silks, books, and incense, but Roland had the potential to become great. Moreover, a scar would work wonders for his reputation as a fearsome sorcerer.

was just running around ochkanatlan unlocking waypoints that i missed during its main quest when i ran into one quest and it was one of the coolest places (and a bit confusing quest since i was getting overwhelmed with the puzzles and amount of info i have to process)
