Average fma fan talking about 03 positively: Man, it's such a miracle that the 2003 anime is written even halfway decently! After all, the writers who, as we know, have never written anything in their lives before [citation needed], they had to work while locked in individual underground cells [citation needed], only fed scraps of fma lore by Arakawa herself [citation needed] while her story was actually fully formed by the first printing of her manga in Monthly Shonen Gangan [citation needed] but they were adapting the initial first volume of manga and oopsy-daisy shot past it [citation needed], so they made up every plot beat, character arc, storyboard, and lore change completely on the fly and very randomly [citation needed]. Even though they tried to 1:1 adapt her story [citation needed, contradicted by existing sources], they fumbled the job and butchered her story, characters, and lore. Arakawa sagely forgave them [citation needed]. But somehow it's a cohesive story?! Wow! Even though the story is sad, dark, scares me, makes me cry, violent, gorey, and my fave ships aren't endgame, so -50 demerits. Still, good job team! A treat! to the person who hc seb as not emo, i never looked at it that way but you are lowkey so right. i see him having a phase in highschool and not hating the genre but simply growing out of it. i do see him listening to ptv tho. and green day (but i don't think they're emo, right?) anyway. what are other band hcs that you have?? i feel like he would be into linkin park and a part of me tells me bring me the horizon. also sum41 but that's more pop punk. and misfits, slipknot, system of a down, etc. sorry had to get that out. Never saw someone talking about this Kyoshi's novels paralel but i cant stop think about it and it hurts me

The moment Kyoshi decides to kill Jianzhu its when he murderer Kelsang with a steel made of dirt on the neck

And, like father like son, its also in the moment Yun stabs Rangi in the back with the same wapon that Kyoshi stops trying to save him and decides to kill Yun

And WAIT bc it dosen't stop there

Nether Rangi and Kelsang were really putting up a fight because they were both focus on protecting Kyoshi (Kelsang was trying to push Jianzhu away and Rangi was trying to warn Kyoshi about the tunels)

So both Yun and Jianzhu, used this knowledge as a aventage to attack the person they once considered friends

[i can talk more about this paralel later bc yes Rangi and Kelsang have paralels just like Kyoshi and Hei-Ran]

BUT there is a difference between the two scenes that change the way that they play out

So remember how right at the beginning of Shadow, Kyoshi say her healing abilitys weren't at any master level, but she learn all she could alone because she promess herself to never lost a loved one again for the lack of this ability

And then shadow is the book when nobody she loves dies in it

Except for Yun, who she kills with a healing tecnic

I think it’s time that I share the one that I’ve made for an au idea I have, had them for about a week and I love them but I’m still trying to get details down for the au and all, still in the planning stage and like this is my first time really actually doing this.

This au is gonna be on the more body horror side and I would love to info dump about it once my brain gives me more ideas to write down but honestly I think his design for the au turned out good, their modeled after a teddy bear and I tried to make the face and eyes similar to one as much as I could for just concept sketches

Anyways lemme know if anyone wants an info dump on the au,

been trying to get as much down as I can for it but obviously having your attention split while brain storming isn’t the best. Probably gonna make an info dump either way just the get the brain juices pumping but how much I share in an actual post is gonna depend on how willing I think people are to hear about it tbh. I don’t wanna talk about something nobodies gonna care much about

Um anyways new au idea underways, gonna try and write a story about it but I currently only have a beginning and vague concept of how I want it to end and nothing in between so far so we will see. Would love to trouble shoot with someone but I currently don’t have anyone to do that with so… feel free to reach out if you wanna try helping tho, i've got like litterally no friends in/into the comunitiy so it would be kinda nice

I’ve been so proud of the fact that my studies have been paying off! I’m excited to start seriously considering a date to take my exam!

Tasks completed:

-watch lectures

-practice flashcards

-review practice exams

-clean bathroom

-tidy apartment

-read my books

I’m grateful that my apartment is coming together, and that my studies are paying off! I’m gonna keep the routine going and hopefully be prepared for my exam by December!

Why do all the item pickups in BBKart end with "!!!"? it seems like such a weird way to end a string in a silly horror racer. Is it a reference to something?

yes. let me explain.

bloodborne ps4 as a game doesnt exist in a vaccum, it exists as a sequel to dark souls 1 and 2. it streamlined the souls experience and offered a lot of quality of life features, things that would feel too polished for a ps1 game.

because of this, i rolled back a lot of features in bloodborne psx to demons and dark souls quality to make it feel more rudimentary. there were big things like the key system (which rolled QoL back even earlier to actual ps1 / n64 games like tomb raider or OoT) but there were also small things that were implemented just to nail the 'old game' vibe like adding a weird number of exclamation points to a status effect announcement window:

bloodborne kart built on top of bbpsx's ui system to make both games feel unified in their look (and to make dev easier and faster by recycling work), so i re-used the status effect announcer to show the name of the power up the player just picked up
