中村紋子　｜　Ayaco Nakamura

1979年、埼玉県生まれ。幼い頃から絵を描くのが好きだった。東京工芸大学芸術学部写真学科卒業、同大学院写真領域修了。在籍中に写真と絵をミックスした私家版『週刊あやこ』を100号刊行。卒業後はイラストレーションシリーズ「USALYMAN」をロンドンのSaatchi&Saatchiにて発表。また国内ではB GALLERY等で個展を開催。雑誌等で仕事をしつつ、2011年〜18年にかけて、三部作の写真集『Silence』『Birth』『Daylight』を刊行。現在はポートレートや舞台撮影、障がいがある人たちとの「つくる」を通したプロジェクトディレクション等、さまざまな表現活動に携わる。2020年に茅スタジオを仲間とつくる。

Ayaco Nakamura was born in Saitama prefecture, Japan, in 1979. She has been recognized for her photography and illustration pieces since her early twenties. Her illustration series “USALYMAN" was exhibited at Saatchi Saatchi Gallery in London and solo photo exhibitions in Japan at B Gallery and other venues while working for people who asked her to take personal photography or stage photography. She published a trilogy of photography books, “Silence,” “Birth,” and “Daylight,” from 2011 to 2018. She has been involved in a variety of expressive activities, including project direction with people who have disabilities.
