SxF Crack Theory: The Identity Of [REDACTED]'s Father
Hear me out here.... but, maybe, Twilight's father could be Yuri's boss, aka, the SSS Lieutenant.
Now, this might be a crack/joke theory, but here is the evidence I have to back up my claim (yes, I'm presenting it because I'm just Like That):
(Warning: Manga spoilers ahead)
Exhibit A: Physical Characteristics
Here is a picture of Agent Twilight:
Tumblr media
Here is a picture of Yuri's boss (who, from now in, will be referred to as YB, for my own convenience):
Tumblr media
We can see that Twilight and YB have very similar facial characteristics: bluish-grey eyes, blond hair, and a similar face shape (nose, jaw).
We never see Twilight's father's full face: only the lower half, because he has presumably forgotten his face, along with his mother's (King of Emotional Repression™️), but we can see that his jawline and shape of his mouth are very similar to Adult Twilight.
Tumblr media
Oh, and look at that- rather pronounced cheekbones, if I do say so myself. Where else did I see those? Hmmm
Tumblr media
Exhibit B: Ambiguous Fate
During the War Arc, we're never told about [REDACTED]'s father's fate. We just know he never returns to his family: and the reason why he left for the very last time, was that, "Things have been heating up at the border. I need to take a little business trip." The fact that his, a (presumably) rather important man's, body was never recovered: nor were [REDACTED] or his mother informed of his death. Of course, his body could have been lost in the bombings, or the part of [REDACTED] finding out about his father's dead could have been omitted, but for most of the part, we're left to assume about his father's dead. And... this sounds familiar to another instance...
Like the instance of [REDACTED]'s friends. He (and we) assumed they'd died in the warehouse as children, but later we see that they're alive and in the army (only to die a second time, RIP), but this time, for their deaths to be confirmed: for [REDACTED] to only receive their dog tags after the failed campaign.
This may have been a setup: for Endo to reintroduce [REDACTED]'s father, later in the story, as YB.
Anyway, one thing I've learned after reading and watching so many books, comics, and TV shows: never assume a person's dead, not unless their body/proof of their death has been explicitly shown. This belief was only reinforced after [REDACTED]'s friends.
And, [REDACTED]'s father's last known place was around the Westalian-Ostanian border. He could have escaped in the crossfire, theoretically...
Exhibit C: Fatherly Nature (?)
We all love a good found-family dynamic in the workplace. It's there with WISE, it's there with Garden, and it's kinda there with the SSS.
My main argument about this stems from the chapter which focuses on Yuri's work.
We see YB continuously worry about Yuri's physical health, in panels like:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Obviously, this doesn't happen only in this chapter. Whenever Yuri's there, YB is also there, yelling at him to a) go to sleep, or b) STOP GETTING HIT BY BUSSES OH MY FUCKING GOD IT CAN'T HAPPEN SO MANY TIMES TO ONE PERSON-
And, of course, there's the Yuri Sick Fic chapter:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Not gonna lie, this point is extremely weak, if I brought this up in court I'd be laughed out of there-
Anyway, I just wanted to put this in.
If it does turn out that YB is [REDACTED]'s father then. Bestie. Buddy. How are you managing to be a better father-figure to some insolent kid who gets hit by busses than you were to your actual son, like 20 years ago. Maybe he learned along the way.
Exhibit D: Symbolism (???)
Oh, look, another point I'm pulling out of my ass! But whatever, you're reading it <3
During the War Arc, we see Twilight sustain two major injuries:
One, as a child, when his home is bombed:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
And two, as an adult, in the army:
Tumblr media
and these injuries are both to his left eye.
Of course, this has given rise to theories of him not being able to see his left eye, it being his blind spot, and Yor guarding his blind spot on missions, etc., etc., which I love bc ✨Twiyor✨
Getting back on point, if we look at YB, we see that he has injuries too... or rather, remnants of them, what with the scars he has...
Tumblr media
which, are also on his left eye. Huh! Interesting... this might just be me, but could this be parallels to how similar he and his father were? Are? His father also wanted peace between Ostania and Westalis: but he taught his child that in a very harsh manner (by slapping him), but Twilight wants to teach Anya that in a kind manner. Whenever we see him teaching her, he never loses his cool with her (of course, he loses a lot of hope, but this man's a pessimist, what can we do).
Also shows how much kinder Twilight is, compared to his father.
---
Of course, these points are very weak, and it might just be that Endo reused some character designs for efficiency, but let me be, ok!! This is a crack theory!!! Let me be a clown!!!! AKDFJSJF
If I'm being honest, this post was inspired by a convo I'd had with my friend, around the time Chapter 86 was released. She was theorizing that [REDACTED]'s dad is the Shopkeeper, and I was theorizing it was this dude. Of course, our theorizing was sidetracked by Chapter 86, and a certain panel within it, but... WHATEVER.
So, what are your thoughts? Obviously, my own theory is very weak (for example, why would the SSS accept a Westalian citizen into their ranks? Why would he even join the SSS? Could he have defected? Abandoned his wife and kid?), but this was fun to think about, lol. What are your theories? I think the Shopkeeper-is-the-dad theory and the YB-is-his-dad theory are both cool, so, what do you think?
(Also, yeah, I know, his dad could very well be dead. I just refuse to believe it, bc I'm just Like That <3)

The gif system in this post, regarding the feudal alignments within fandom?
Every member of a given fandom identifies with at least 1 of the 10 gifs listed.
The meaning of each gif is subject to interpretation to some degree.
My reblog was meant to be funny, but the more I look at the thread the more surprised I am at the amount of truth I see in it. Tumblr is a strange and beautiful place.
for you @deadbranch my chrome queen
Tumblr media
I have prepared to flex my worthless and expensive af haha jk or am i dual anthropology and [redacted] degrees to conduct a completely subjective, PhD-level ethnographic study of branchy's gifset curation, please observe:
++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
Exhibit A: writers and their sixth sense when they intuit me, refreshing and revisiting their blog daily to check for updates to that one-shot/fic/novel/12-part-apocalypse-opera (not even joking about that last one).
alternately, those weird fuckers who send in creepy boundary-crossing anon asks. i love to hate them but they're kind of an essential part of tumblr
Tumblr media
++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
Exhibit B: im convinced some blogs out there have excel spreadsheet JIRA queuebot steampunkesque contraptions running their shit because i have no idea how they make (and KEEP TO) regularly scheduled high quality posts??? a schedule??? on this HELLSITE? tumblr i love you i dont mean that on mondays
Tumblr media
++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
Exhibit C: antis. no further comments.
i freely block antiblogs and and any that are brimming with negativity/hate
Tumblr media
++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
Exhibit D: me, fanfic, and ao3, most days. no further comments
Tumblr media
++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
Exhibit E: me, my imagination, and my fictional harem of blorbos, most nights. no further comments as well.
Also basically 98% of tumblr as is widely known
Tumblr media
++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
Exhibit F: the caption speaks for itself. on tumblr exist still many bubbles of thought, ideology, poiesis, and praxis that go on as if impenetrable and untouched by a well-known phenomenon called Reality (also known as IRL, going outside, touching grass, etc.)
Tumblr media
++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
Exhibit G: hot people who post random face reveals. STOP TITILLATING ME (yes, I had to google how to properly spell titillating)
Tumblr media
++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
Exhibit H: the elder blogs. they post softly but carry big stick. they are the unspoken glue of their fandom communities. their fic/art/headcanon/etc. posts spawn a thousand more. thou shalt not speak a bad word against them. and yes, many of them are POC, so this gif pulls double duty, well chosen branchy my queen. and fuck i wish i could pull off hoops that big, anyway i digress
Tumblr media
++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
Exhibit I: smut writers. they are brazen. they are shameless. they are worshipped and adored. this is the aftermath of their posting after causing tens of thousands of simultaneous la petite morts as the french say (is it la or le idfk and im too lazy/sleepy to google it rn). absolute fucking bloodbath
Tumblr media
++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
Exhibit J: people who post their personal/professional/something-nal drama and air it out by tagging the larger fandom tags they're in, drawing in completely uninvolved (and often uninformed) people and getting these randos to do their dirty work for them
alternately, people who have zero interest or affiliation with said fandoms and their drama but gleefully follow along using the tags (nooooo i havent done that stop looking at me)
Tumblr media
I would like add one more if you don't mind:
++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
Exhibit K: cozy, safe, well-curated, moderated, well-established boundaried corners of fandom and generally lovely spaces like yours <3 and many of my other moots' blogs as well
also, catblogs

Specimen 14/The madman
Status: unknown
Total Fatalities: 200
Method: dismemberment
A 14 year old boy that exhibits symptoms of paranoid schizophrenia. Their current whereabouts are unknown but they were last seen roaming Specimen Eight’s forest. They have shown increased amounts of aggression towards other specimens, and especially towards Spooky. Going into fits of rage upon seeing her, where he will then charge blindly towards her. Has been shown to be cooperative for periods of time but will usually relapse into a more aggressive state of mind when provoked, there have been many confirmed triggers and efforts have been made to remove these triggers upon further encounters. Has been shown to be proficient in many tools and weapons. Is most effective against subjects that often wander.
Excerpt from an interview:
Interviewer: “Hello, my name is Dr. (REDACTED).”
Specimen 14: “H-hello, my name is Magnus. Uhm M-Magnus (REDACTED).”
Interviewer: “Well Magnus your family is quite infamous around these parts. Especially considering what happened in Hurricane.”
*Specimen 14 shifts uncomfortably in their chair.*
Specimen 14: “C-could you please not mention that? It-it’s a sensitive uhm topic.”
Interviewer: “Of course! Anyways I’m actually conducting this interview to find out why you came to the mansion in the first place.”

*Specimen 14 pulls free and rushes towards the door.*
Specimen 14: “I have to leave. I have to go. I have to leave. I have to go. I have to leave. I have to go-“
*A low rumbling is heard and Specimen 14 quickens their pace.*
Interviewer: “What in the god damn?”
*Suddenly Specimen 9 comes out of the wall behind Dr. (REDACTED).*
Specimen 14 & the Interviewer: “Oh shit!”
Specimen 9: “TAKE THE DEAD TO TAKE THE DEAD TO TAKE THE DEAD TO TAKE THE DEAD TO TAKE THE DEAD TO TAKE THE DEAD TO TAKE THE DEAD TO TAKE THE DEAD TO TAKE THE DEAD TO TAKE THE DEAD TO TAKE THE DEAD TO-“
*Dr. (REDACTED) is killed instantly while Specimen 14 goes missing for eight weeks.*

My brain today.
(Idea shamelessly copied from a picture on some content farm article about productivity. The original was uncredited, possibly ai generated or stolen, and depicted a generic man-character i didn’t feel represented me. I couldn’t bring myself to use it so I recreated it instead.)
Exhibit A: I actually tried to go do my hw, but I found myself searching "goldfish brain" instead to make this post.
Exhibit B: I made this instead of finishing my hw.

so. the monster debacle.
spoiler warning for episode 26 in the Multiverse Tales playlist Redemption of the Were-Jaguar. you've been warned!
from what i've seen all monsters they've become are also a slight reflection of their experiences and self.
EXHIBIT A!!! Vasilia Kuznet
Tumblr media
Vasilia becomes a were-jaguar, which of course the obvious is her experience with hunting were-beasts. the second thing can be seen in the above image, she's very confident in just the air around her, but needed to change her own perspective on this other form.
also the finale of that episode was literally Gangadharan was finally trusting Vasilia despite the constant evasion of her fanged form.
EXHIBIT B!!! Astra [Redacted]
Tumblr media
Astra becomes a skin walker. she has a tendency to change her identity when in a rough zone. examples: Diamos, Tatyana, and even the dragon form.
although i was a bit confused on why hyena specifically, because before i was researching for this, i mostly saw deer versions of the skin walkers. y'know, like how most people draw wendigos. so here's that info.
Tumblr media
EXHIBIT C!!! Charlie/Mikayla Maciel
Tumblr media
Bio-MeKayla became a sparking ghoul. the sparking part is obvious, Charlie is a machine based lifeform, and robotics tend to use some form of electricity.
but it's interesting to see that Charlie becomes this twisted version of his worst self, the part of him that's just like every other bio mech they're looking for.
the increased hostility and tendency to control their victims. that parasitic behavior near identical to a symbiote. examples of this behavior: Obi, Emerald Tyrannus, Terror Claw, Fin-Walker, Firecross Dragon.
the controlling part is easy to find in their meeting. he blindly takes control of Kayla and just asks her to try balancing. of course we can mark that up to being completely in a panic at the thought of getting cannibalized.
another fun detail, this corruption also seems to dissolve parts of Kayla to the bone. as you can see with Kayla's corrupt arm. could be a reminder of the slime drake, but without knowing what the leg looks like that is shooting into the dark.
EXHIBIT D!!! Champagne McGregor
champagne becomes a hybrid dinosaur/lizard man. i've already done my reasearch for him a while ago, there's nothing i can pull from mythology. what i can pull is his correspondence.
aka: his job and history. he created monsters of his own that were searching for their next chance of survival, be it food or safety.
heck he even lost his arm to a mutated freakshow of a tyrannosaurus.
exhibit e, the thing giving me the most trouble: Benny Sharp
Benny becomes a jersey swamp skulker. not much to refer to unless you want table top rpg ideas. and even if i do refer to other swamp lurking mythology, there's honestly nada. no fishy abominations i've found from movies are good references either... so we just gotta go off the THREE LINES that gangadharan gives.
this is a human that touched a cursed barnacle. they can propel themselves through the water at extremely quick speeds to the point the best way to hunt them down is to get them on dry land. they also have sharp blades on their forearms. wow. what help.
alrighty, time to bs my way through this... i'm probably gonna move around exhibits so we get me struggling to deal with this guy at the end.
literally what do i pull from???? the monster simply doesn't exist. it is there, it was created for one purpose: and that was a community redraw. hfffffffffff. i even finally tried to check out what swamp skulker is in the ttrpg. it's a sea roomba. with a vague appearence of an axolotl crustacean.
Tumblr media
not even kidding. anyways, back to shooting in the dark with a leaf.
obviously the outer shell is there in place of the mech armor he was no doubt wearing. the ability to propel itself at high speeds as to avoid danger could be equal to his tendency to run in the past if things were getting too... dangerous for others.
but my main confusion is: why water? he's honestly never really interacted with it. literally one of his key sayings is basically "if a mech can't fly, it's not worth it." so maybe that shows that he doesn't have any worth in his eyes?????
the extra mouth like cover being of course kinda like a mask, maybe showing the fact he usually is counted as the positive "don't worry, we can win if we go fist fight god!" despite me staring at every trauma past christmas demons.

i had the chance to present a short - 2 minute - thingy to camel town counsel today. i wrote it in my head over the last week - found out I'd be doing this on Wednesday last week - and wrote the first hard draft yesterday which I then edited and typed up - and edited a few more times.
this afternoon I wrote 4 cue cards for myself, each for about 30 seconds of speech and tucked them into the pocket of my 3 piece suit. I only wore 2 pieces because it was 32 degrees C today and I didn't want to melt into a puddle.
Ianto came with me and did pretty well. He didn't like the presentation part of the shindig but was mostly quiet and respectful of the proceedings.
Here's the script I finished with. Obviously I didn't follow it exactly from the cue cards because... well cue cards and you have to be able to adapt to your audience. Mayor [redacted], Honoured counsellors, and fellow attendees. I am Farmer, and I am the Heritage Manger for the [camel town heritage society]. This is my dog Ianto, you might have seen us out and about.
I brought with me an object that is often called a ‘key’ object by museologists. This particular key is a box I found in storage shortly after I began my work in April. The museum is full of amazing objects which connect intrinsically to our past; it is my job to share their stories with visitors. By the time I found this box, I knew camel town had a large population of Chinese minors, but didn’t know much else. And here was this gorgeous brass box.
So, to add to our small Chinese history display, I dusted off the box and set it up in the gallery. I also took the opportunity to go through that display area and modernize the case. After that, magic happened.
The very next day two international students stopped by. Upon seeing our newly displayed box they got excited. They could read it! The first two words were “Hong Kong” - their home city. It didn’t take us long to learn that the “Pang Yu Tai Lung Kee” tea house still exists today.
Since then, my transformative efforts to go through each display and highlight key objects has lead to us learning about our WWI bayonets, our 10,000 year old micro-blades, our geological collections, and much more.
This has lead to the dismantling of two dioramas. Dioramas were a popular manner of display in the past, and these ones were clearly constructed with love but, by transforming the dioramas into gallery space we are able to modernize the displays to tell specific stories. One is dedicated to [local nation] basketry, and the other focus on the Household and luxury during [Camel town’s] gold rush peek.
I have many plans for the remaining diorama space including using one for rotating through our collection of photographs, paintings, handmade rugs, and other fine arts; using another to bring [historical figure] up from the inaccessible basement, and having space for rotating various exhibits to help us sustain our community. This way, we still have our permanent collection available to new visitors, but there is always something new for locals to learn about.
We have also been working with other societies to take on the stewardship needed to sustain heritage sites around [camel town]. While my main focus is currently the museum’s collection, I am ready and willing to work with anyone, from individuals, to school students, to business owners and beyond, hoping to preserve their history through our archives, collection, or other support systems.
With the support of the district, our heritage can shine. Thank you for listening to me, are there any questions?
would you give us money?

The Science Behind Pyrokinesis
27 June 2023
Dr. [REDACTED] - Researcher
Subject regulates an internal temperature of 75°C (~167°F) when not combusted. The internal organs are coated with a thick layer of a foreign, mucus-like substance. This substance contains thermophile properties to prevent the organs from roasting. Subject eats approximately 8lbs (~3.6kg) of food a day, which is double the average human, and also absorbs external heat sources to create energy. These external heat sources are the sole contributors of maintaining the subject’s internal temperature. When deprived of these external sources, the subject exhibited a dangerously low internal body temperature of 37°C (~98.6°F). Despite this temperature being normal for the average human, the subject exhibited symptoms of profound hypothermia and the subject’s organs seemed to function abnormally.
To prevent the body from being overwhelmed, the subject makes all excess energy dormant. This dormant energy is used for combustion. To achieve combustion, the subject sends electrical pulses to the brain and skin. These electrical pulses excite the stored energy and ignite it. It is expelled from the body and onto the subject’s hands to be used for whatever purpose. The more electrical pulses to the brain, the hotter the fire will be. When ignited, the subject’s internal temperature ranges anywhere from 85°C-150°C (~185°F-302°F). Subject can regulate this internal temperature due to having a ‘different’ metabolism. The subject’s skin is unharmed due to the subject being covered in microscopic thermophilic bacteria. The subject has smoke inside their lungs when combusted and, to prevent being overwhelmed internally, expels that smoke through exhaling. Smoke is not dangerous to the subject, but too much can be threatening to the internal structure of the subject.
Subject’s internal structure is different compared to the average human’s. The subject stores water in his/her bloodstream when preparing to ignite. Subject can store approximately 3.7 liters in his/her bloodstream without raising their blood pressure. When studied, it was determined that this storage tactic is similar to the camel. Water is also stored in the eyes of the subject due to his/her head having the ability to be consumed by flames. This is possible due to the subject’s cells being thermophilic, protecting it from drying out.
When combusted, the subject creates a ‘by-product.’ This residue allows the subject to manipulate the fire and make fireballs, fire streams, etc. The residue is made up of special proteins that the fire clings to. The residue separates from the subject due to static electricity and kinetic energy. The static electricity and kinetic energy forces the fire to travel to the desired body part and/or ‘shoot’ off the body part. However, the subject cannot manipulate fire that is not ignited by their brain.
Subject does not need to live in a specific climate to thrive. Due to his/her thick skin, the subject’s internal body temperature is not affected by the outside temperature. However, the subject’s powers seem to weaken in moist environments while strengthening in dry environments.
More information will be provided when more tests are conducted.

Queer person here, wondering if [redacted]?
Anon, I'm going to give you the benefit of the doubt and not question whether you're really queer, or whether you're just an anti.
I'm going to assume you are instead... egregiously lacking basic information and basic common sense. In which case perhaps the following will enlighten Anon.
Anti bullshit spreads online, don't be foolish enough to believe it exhibit A
Anti bullshit spreads online, don't be foolish enough to believe it exhibit B
Anti bullshit spreads online, don't be foolish enough to believe it exhibit C
The answer to your question, in case that didn't make it clear enough is, no. All of your assumptions and assertions are lies, so they can't lead to any conclusions except that there are probably as many hateful people in the world as there are credulous people.

Today In Women’s History Month we celebrate the birthdays of Louise-Florence-Pétronille Tardieu d’Esclavelles and Wanda Hazel Gág
Louise-Florence-Pétronille Tardieu d’Esclavelles, dame de la Live d’Épinay, byname Madame D’épinay, (born March 11, 1726, Valenciennes, Fr.—died April 17, 1783, Paris), a distinguished figure in advanced literary circles in 18th-century France. Though she wrote a good deal herself, she is more famous for her friendships with three of the outstanding French writers and thinkers of her day, Denis Diderot, Baron Friedrich de Grimm, and Jean-Jacques Rousseau.
Mme d’Épinay interested herself in literature and the welfare of men of letters after the breakdown of her marriage to Denis-Joseph de La Live d’Épinay, a financier. She set up a congenialsalon in her country house at La Chevrette, near Montmorency, and offered hospitality to the Philosophes, the leading intellectual figures of the period immediately prior to the French Revolution. Her friendship with Grimm was long and untroubled, and Mme d’Épinay collaborated with him on his famous correspondence. Her association with Rousseau, on the other hand, was brief and stormy: in 1756 he accepted her offer of accommodation in the “Hermitage,” a small dwelling near her country house, and wrote his novel La Nouvelle Héloïsethere. But then he quarreled with his hostess, and the two became implacable foes. Mme d’Épinay was the author of several novels and works on education, but her writings are of interest now chiefly for their autobiographical revelations.
Her Wikipedia page had more information about her works
Her pseudo-memoires are written in the form of a sort of autobiographic romance, L'Histoire de Madame de Montbrillant, begun when she was thirty but never published in her lifetime. It intersperses fictionalized set pieces exhibiting the sensibilité of the earliest generation of Romantics,[6] with genuine letters and autobiographical material. Bequeathed to Baron Grimm, a mangled version of the manuscript was edited by J. P. A. Parison and J. C. Brunet (Paris, 1818) as Mémoires et correspondance de Madame d'Épinay with all the names changed to identify the supposed originals: Madame d'Épinay figures in it as Madame de Montbrillant, and René is generally recognized as Rousseau, Volx as Grimm, Gamier as Diderot, who is sometimes credited with major interventions in the text. The work has had a checkered career since.[7] The only accurate edition is George Roth, ed. Les Pseudo-mémoires de Madame d'Épinay, 3 vols., 1951.
Other works
Her Conversations d'Émilie, a dialogue recollecting the education of her granddaughter, Émilie de Belsunce, was published in 1774.[8] The Mémoires et Correspondance de Mme d'Épinay, renfermant un grand nombre de lettres inédites de Grimm, de Diderot, et de J.-J. Rousseau, ainsi que des details, &c., was published at Paris (1818) from a manuscript which she had bequeathed to Grimm.
Many of Madame d'Épinay's letters are contained in the Correspondance de l'abbé Galiani (1818), which provided material for Francis Steegmuller's joint biography,[9] and have since appeared in a definitive redaction.[10] Two anonymous works, Lettres à mon fils (Geneva, 1758) and Mes moments heureux (Geneva, 1759), are also by Madame d'Épinay.
In January 1783, three months before her death, she was awarded the Prix Monyon, recently established by the Académie to honour the author of the "book published in the current year that might be of most benefit to society"; it was her Conversations d'Émilie (1774).[11]
Wanda Hazel Gág, (born March 11, 1893, New Ulm, Minnesota, U.S.—died June 27, 1946, New York, New York), American artist and author whose dynamic visual style imbued the often commonplace subjects of both her serious art and her illustrated books for children with an intense vitality.
Gág was the daughter of a Bohemian immigrant artist. While attending high schoolin Minnesota, she helped support her family by contributing drawings to a children’s supplement to the Minneapolis Journal. She attended the St. Paul Art School on a scholarship, and from 1915 to 1917 she studied at the Minneapolis School of Art. In 1917 she traveled to New York City and entered the Art Students League, where she studied with John Sloan and other noted teachers.
Tumblr media
A show of Gág’s drawings, lithographs, and woodcuts at the Weyhe Gallery in New York in 1926 brought her first recognition as a serious artist, and subsequent shows there in 1928, 1930, and 1940 increased her reputation. She was represented in the Museum of Modern Art’s 1939 exhibition “Art in Our Time,” which was presented at the time of the New York World’s Fair. At the suggestion of a children’s book editor, she wrote and illustrated Millions of Cats (1928), which became a classic children’s book. Her subsequent books for children include The Funny Thing (1929), A.B.C. Bunny (1933), Gone Is Gone (1935), and Nothing at All(1941). She also translated and illustrated Tales from Grimm (1936), Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs (1938), Three Gay Tales from Grimm (1943), and More Tales from Grimm (1947). Growing Pains: Diaries and Drawings for the Years 1908–1917 (1940, reprinted 1984) is a memoir based on her journals.

Tumblr media
JACKSON, ABIGAIL, SEBASTIAN, AND SAM, AKA THE JACKASS CREW. GOOFY GOOBERS WHO CAN ABSOLUTELY WRECK YOUR SHIT.
D1: JACKSON. BASED OFF OF MY IRL BESTIE WHO'S THE SINGLE MOST OUT OF POCKET FEMBOY I HAVE EVER KNOWN. LOCAL CHILD PICKS UP THE EQUIVALENT OF THE CORE OF A NEUTRON STAR WHICH THEN EMPTIES ITS CONTENTS INTO HIS SYSTEM - PROCEEDS TO BLOW A MASSIVE HOLE IN THE CLOUDS WITH A MASSIVE FUCKING ELDRITCH BLAST. LIVES TO TELL THE TALE, IS NOW EVEN MORE POWERFUL THAN WAS PREVIOUSLY POSSIBLE. IN POSSESSION OF SCHRÖDINGER'S GODHOOD.
D2: ABIGAIL. AROALLO POLYAMOROUS TRANSFEM. SKILLED WITH A SWORD AND EVENTUALLY GAINS THE ABILITY TO [SPOILER REDACTED]. We all know who the real father is AND SHE HAS TO FIND OUT EVENTUALLY.
D3: SEBASTIAN. LOCAL EMO WEED BUYER, USER OF ICE AND ELECTRICAL MAGIC. PART OF A LOVE TRIANGLE BUT DON'T WORRY WE TAKE THE POLYAMOROUS WAY OUT HERE. HAUNTED BY NIGHTMARES AND THE WAY THINGS COULD HAVE BEEN.
D4: SAM. LOCAL BUNDLE OF SUNSHINE WHO IS CONSTANTLY WORRYING ABOUT HIS BESTIES THAT HE'S ALSO IN LOVE WITH. EVENTUAL USER OF LIGHT AND ELECTRICAL MAGIC ONCE HE COMES AROUND TO IT. WILL MAKE OUT WITH [SPOILER REDACTED] TO PROVE A POINT.
AND THAT'S JUST THE TIP OF THE ICEBERG, MY FRIEND. WE HAVE SO MANY OTHER BLORBOS FOR YOU TO SEE, AND A SECOND FIC ON THE BACKBURNER WITH A SIMILAR CAST OF CHARACTERS.
Small-Town Tales is my pet project. It's my baby and if anything happens to it i'll kill everyone in this room and then myself (reference). Jay is a barn owl avia (bird equivalent of a selkie) and arrives in town to the rudest greeting possible: getting mauled by wolves. After mauling the wolves back, he manages to fly his sopping wet bloodied self to the front door of the clinic before collapsing in the plaza, essentially on Doctor Harvey's front doorstep.
Cloak shenanigans ensue in the following chaos as Harvey saves Jay's life, bada bing bada boom you got an accidental marriage that nobody wanted. Jay manages to settle into Pelican town which, despite seeming like an idyllic little village, is actually a massive source of chaos for anyone living there. Other character arcs coming soon to a chapter near you.
Promise? Is my project on the back burners. Despite this, I love it just as much as STT - although it certainly won't end up anywhere near as long (pleasepleasepleasepleasepleasepleaseplease have mercy on me gods of writing and hyperfixations). Doctor Harvey finds himself down bad with hanahaki for the local aspiring author. Angst ensues - do not fear, for i am an absolute slut for the comfort part in hurt/comfort.
More details on both can be found on my sideblog, @gracklekeyer2000 , as well as my Ao3 account by the same name. All of my writing on Ao3 requires an account to view because of the muskrat's data scraping. However, The Incident is linked in the pinned post on my sideblog. It's not quite complete yet - there's meant to be a part 3 - but the most important, plot-relevant details coming from that piece have been ironed out in the first two parts.

“But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night, in which the heavens will pass away with a great noise, and the elements will melt with fervent heat; both the earth and the works that are in it will be burned up’’2Pet.3
It was the time we thought was the end.. Like in the book of Revelations we knew it was the end. We had to hide in the bunker that was 22 feet below ground because Our houses were destroyed, people were dragged out of their homes, our worship places were burned down. People started killing each other. We knew it was the work of the anti messiah, we didn;t know who it/they were.. But the signs led us to know the time has come.
There were 7 of us that lived down there. There was a big red C painted outside our bunker that differentiated us from others. We were aware they knew about us. Even down below We could hear the the scream on the street hailing the anti messiah. The beginning of the persecution was predicted long before . almost all of us were prepared for this we were all prepared to die.. Die for THE LORD but the misery never ended we couldn't kill ourselves we wouldn't fight back since we were helpless, all we could do was wait and have faith. And that’s what we did at least most of us.
Though we were hiding they knew where we lived they could come ANYTIME. The fear was more crippling than the torture. Everyday day felt like night… the screams outside were haunting.. We were told that there was no one outside to be screaming..making us realize it was actually the sounds in our minds.
All we had was faith and hope.. We waited for something to happen and the fear was driving us insane. The voices in our minds grew louder. The inner turmoil wanted me to claw myself in pieces.. We started losing, we were crying all the time,... but we held hands a prayered each passing day got difficult at a point we couldn’t even comprehend the passing of time .
. Our faith and belief that kept us together is what tore us from the world and we were seen as outcasts. We always felt that way even when things were normal. But this hatred we couldn’t fathom. However we knew that there were many like us, we communicated through letters , On one occasion, we even received a letter inscribed in blood due to the absence of ink, a striking testament to our determination to support and uplift each other in our shared journey. Things would never be the same if we accepted it..We could wait for the messiah to return.
“For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms” Ephesians 6:12
When will this fallen world come to and end, when can we escape the clutches of this terror. Will the messiah come soon? Will we witness the fight between the angels and demons? I feel weak helpless overwhelmed .
It wasn’t just a human battle but also a spiritual war.
The paper was burned, the text in between couldn’t be deciphered but the last statement said.
Into your arms I put my life waiting for my journey of eternal life,
2 Peter 3:13 (NIV) "But in keeping with his promise we are looking forward to a new heaven and a new earth, where righteousness dwells."
-Redacted Archives of a 14 year old believer.
Description: The child started writing the story from 7 years old. The last part written by the child was 14 with no subsequent information of the child and the other letters of the child remain known. Meanwhile, within the Museum of the Second Coming, archives chronicling Christian persecution were exhibited, serving as an inspiration to fortify and embolden fellow believers for the approaching end times.

07.07.23 field trip notes
nice day <3 thankful for pretty lights and health insurance (more notes below)
notes on light
light at mcad - michelle yi martin's petaled cosmos" - woven lighting gels with light cast through, which is then photographed, then printed onto layered silks
took the muni to the new station in chinatown; the light indoors/underground felt like natural daytime light, maybe in thanks to the mirrored ceiling
golden hour along california street; a place i & i meandered along some day during spring 2019
thinking about my dad (nam june paik) at the ambient rave with projects cast throughout the entire depth of the cathedral
most memorable part of seeing the sutro tower installation was walking on the uphill road in the dark, listening to the trees swaying through the wind, seeing their silhouettes cast against the glow of tower
misc wants/wonders
noticed the mentioning by z of the experience as transcendent/otherworldly; i wonder what it would be like to keep my gaze upon something steady, with a belief, an insistence that this could exist in this world, as much as it is possible to do so
broadened imaginations; people who help challenge/broaden that imagination
wanting for myself and others: a sense of deep okayness and a zest for life and intention and surprise

field trip!
field trip day at the dogpatch ~ we went to mcad, the exhibit was about crafting a life in the bay area was an artist, one of the pieces made me wanna carry around pencils to draw again; at their maker station, i lined my notebook with butterfly fabrics, and taped a silvery paper onto random pages
picked up "design by time," a survey of projects that focus/collaborate with time >:)
light at mcad - michelle yi martin's petaled cosmos" - woven lighting gels with light cast through, which is then photographed, then printed onto layered silks
took the muni to the new station in chinatown; the light indoors/underground felt like natural daytime light, maybe in thanks to the mirrored ceiling
wandered around a large walgreens; saw skincare products staged with furniture in a very ikea type way
went to an ambient rave at grace cathedral
scooted to sutro tower and got to stand amid many a powerful laser & many a camera pro/enthusiast (thank you v)
most memorable was the walk up to the tower in the dark, listening to the trees swaying through the wind, seeing their silhouettes cast against the tower
additional notes
putting faces to names for mag was sweet! a lil writer/editor meet n greet <3 "in 10 years when we're like [redacted]"
venkatesh rao's "cafes & grand narratives" post was wild
small world; running into a at the ambient set, met z, c at sutro and of course we have mutual friends, small world when we took a shared car to our respective homes that made a neat route between sutro and v's spot
everyone laid down at some point to look up at the lasers; it was funny to see people responding to it in a way that they would an ambient set (which is where i was coming from before sutro)
health note
a relief, light at the end of the convoluted bureaucratic tunnel ....!!! i feel so insanely grateful to have access to a solid hospital through insurance
and yet the process of scheduling felt kafkaesque because multiple (3-4 times) attempts to talk to a person were autohangups; i got routed between three different departments, and when i was with the right department they thought i was looking for something different

12:20am full day
hanging out with sherry and mikey — bunny cafe, art exhibit, mini golf, the fair. it was a lot of fun.
stomach was oddly queasy throughout, coming off cramps and just having poor appetite as of late. odd heartbreak from an awkward, terrible, distressing hangout with redacted.
…i think i might be a (gay?) trans guy with deep deep social/physical dysphoria. i strongly reject ftm porn, probably a deep sense of jealousy and sense of impossibility. my ideal/romanticized dynamic is one of a sweet, intimate boyhood. how that one person points out the how many parts of the “lesbian masterdoc” deeply resonates as a trans guy…really makes me think.
i think some part of me is deeply, deeply frustrated and angry about the impossibility of being seen as a guy. between my height, mannerism, family…being scanned as a guy (child?) always startles me, but it makes me really happy (see: getting ‘sir’d in the market on 8th). not to mention my desire to be approved by cis men (also an impossibility, see disgust toward gay ftm porn), and sense of alienation from them (b/c lack of interaction with them).
maybe it’s cooldown from finally trying to process this past (school) year, maybe it’s hormones, but whatever it is it’s the hinge attempt that is the catalyst of a deep sense of familiar sadness + frustration + anger.
meowu is so cute and clingy though, she’s in my lap now lol. she is soft to the touch b/c of her recent bath. let’s hope her flea medicine comes soon.
one step at a time. talk to you soon.

[REDACTED]
CODE NAME: THREE OF ADAM
PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION: Description of [THREE OF ADAM] is an exercise in futility. at the time of recording, [THREE OF ADAM] measures ‘’4′10 in height, and exhibits features consistant with someone of north african descent. The current accent of [THREE OF ADAM], meanwhile, bares resemblance to the Burgundy region of France.
As of [REDACTED] 2018, [THREE OF ADAM] has taken to using their FIST issued suit with greater regularity, albeit with many functions disabled. With this in mind, attempts to ascertain [THREE OF ADAM] through physical description should instead focus on a modified FIST bodysuit, often with the headpiece in a permanent state of being mid-customisation.
For full descriptions of [THREE OF ADAM] See personnel document 221.a
ANOMALOUS ELABORATION: On an inconsistant basis the physical and metaphysical form of [THREE OF ADAM] shifts, taking form into new physicality and metaphysical ability.
For full descriptions of [TREE OF ADAM]’s recorded properties and test logs, See personnel document 221.b
PSYCHOLOGICAL BRIEF: [THREE OF ADAM] internally referres to themselves as plural. While initially, FIST retrieval operative [REDACTED] Believed this to be preference, during early psychological asessments, Dr.[REDACTED] found [THREE OF ADAM] to be governed primarily by three seperate entities controling portions of [THREE OF ADAM]’s motor control.
Further Psychological asessment has remained inconclusive about whether the three entities are consistant, or fluctuate with [THREE OF ADAM]’s physical attributes.
For [THREE OF ADAM]’s full psychological profile, see personnel document 221.c, Mission log 319, and Dr.[REDACTED]’s unpublished thesis ‘Unpredicability and Subjectivity in the Anomalous Mind’.
ADVISORY: When instructing [THREE OF ADAM] as an operative, employ similar diction, and command technique as one would a small unit. Additionally, familiarise with the current capabilities of the [THREE OF ADAM] instance at FIST’s disposal.

uSCP-8276 "The Glass Menagerie"
Object Class: Euclid
Special Containment Procedures: uSCP-8276 is to be kept in a standard containment chamber at all times. The chamber must be made of reinforced glass, with a thickness of at least 5 inches. The chamber must be kept at a constant temperature of 20°C (68°F) and humidity of 50%. Any personnel entering the chamber must wear gloves and protective eyewear to prevent accidental damage to uSCP-8276.
Description: uSCP-8276 is a collection of delicate glass figurines, resembling various animals and creatures. The figurines vary in size, ranging from 1 inch to 8 inches in height. Each figurine appears to be unique, with intricate designs and patterns etched into the glass.
Despite their fragile appearance, uSCP-8276's figurines have been observed moving and changing positions when no one is present in the containment chamber. This movement appears to be random and unpredictable, with no discernible pattern or purpose.
In addition to their anomalous movement, uSCP-8276's figurines have been known to emit a faint humming sound when in close proximity to each other. The sound appears to be a form of communication between the figurines, though its meaning and purpose are currently unknown.
Attempts to remove or duplicate the figurines have proven unsuccessful, as any attempt to touch or move them causes them to shatter into thousands of small glass shards. It is believed that uSCP-8276's figurines are composed of an unknown type of glass with unique properties that prevent them from being replicated or handled without breaking.
Addendum: uSCP-8276 was recovered from a small antique store in [REDACTED], where it had been in the possession of a single family for generations. The family reported experiencing strange occurrences, including the movement of the figurines and the humming sound, but had never considered them to be anomalous until Foundation agents became involved. After confiscation, the family exhibited no further anomalous activity.

talking about the concept of therapy for me is like. sure great mental health tool EXCEPT that i would have to repeatedly expose myself to extreme stress and pain and fear to teach myself to tolerate the environment before i could reap any mental health benefits, and for some reason exposing myself to stress and fear and pain until i'm able to go limp like a prey animal has never actually made the situation less stressful or painful, so! i will not be doing that ever. i will be doing self-directed mental health work and that will be fine because i'm just as committed to it as i would be to a theoretical professional therapy relationship. it's literally fine. it literally is fine
