Sunstones excerpts i wrote today. Just little things here and there (rated M: for suggestive material and sexual implications in the read below)

"Nnh, Pebbles," Suns squirmed, their legs spreading as their husband's hand traced over their thighs. Even without flesh and bone, their body crackled with the electricity of Pebble's touch. Every nerve endings was sparking in such embarrassing, but enticing ways.

"Come now Suns, what would the other iterators think-- if they knew how you melt in my arms?" Suns could hear the smirk in Pebbles's smug tone, and hated how their body shivered against it.

"You say youre emotionally inept..." Pebbles began, his fingers dancing over Sun's waist, against the more sensitive elastic. He pressed down, his fingers sinking into rubber material "But I think we just haven't found the right nerve endings."

Suns leaned back into Pebble's touch, shivering.

To be so big, and feel so small in Pebbles arms. To get the chance to be so small...truly; suns knew no better bliss.

"P-pebbles..."

Everyone looked to Suns for guidance, for authority. They stood tall above the other iterators, a grand and intimidating force. But despite the many who worshipped them, who sought their advice, there were things that Suns could never admit-- that they were still just as frail and in need of compassion as those who worshipped them.

The only person who seemed to understand this, was the one who defied Suns right at their conception. The moment he came online, Five Pebbles dared to question them, to doubt their superiority-- to seek his own independence.

Everyone worshipped Suns. But Suns-- Suns worshipped Pebbles.

Okay so about those headcanons-

I believe ascending to god-hood in Great God Grove is heavily Tied to a persons mental health, whole post is under read-more for the sake of everyone, poorly written ramblings by someone that struggles to write out thoughts below with some doodles (obviously spoilers too!) :

Aka dumb idiots who girl-rot (/silly) and don't handle their internal issues end up ascended in the realms hours to DAYS after the event instead of immediately after like in the case of King. In my headcanon this is because a gods new form is tied to who they are, and if you hate yourself, don't know who you are, or think you're nothing, it'll effect how you turn out, fighting with other aspects of how you see yourself for dominance. The harder the struggle to create a form, the more of a recoup period for said god to actually start being able to do things- think about it like recovering from exertion or from being sick.

This of course can lead to some problems for the said gods with more problems than others, like Inspekta:

He fears being nobody, dying, leaving nothing behind, and being forgotten- and when he ascended he quite literally lost his whole torso and his tail popped off! hands possibly representin' the others that propped him up! Finally waking up after ascending I'd take it he took his form rather poorly and actually needed extra time to recover *emotionally* before anything on top of the time needed to pop into full existence as a god. I believe when the other gods saw his entrance into the realm, it was quite literally him dropping in from a long ways up with a thud for the jacket and his head bouncing away (really silly, like a ball). while being able to put it together for the other gods he ended up really struggling about what he'd become in private.

Another god i believe may have had issues with ascending is not surprisingly, Click Clack. A god i feel in his human life spent making himself palatable and burying editing out how he felt about things and being unnoticed. Also wouldn't be surprising some of the burying editing came in during the time between him and Thespius ascended, his lover was above them now, after all! I actually drew how i envisioned his entrance to the god realm, because i'm biased.

like a sudden ink spill appeared after a while and he crawled out, exhausted.

can i confess something else that will absolutely get me stoned in the town square since im dropping my unpopular opinions. I don’t like altean broadsword Lance. i already disliked red paladin Lance. the broadsword was like rubbing salt in the wound. why couldn’t he have his own niche. why was his character development just making him keith. i understand that it was like “he accepts that he doesn’t have to be a leader and excels as a co-leader and you can find happiness that way yada yada yada”. but you could’ve done that without making him keith. also now give him something unique, cool, that falls in line with his sniper bit. i’m not saying just give him another gun, im saying give him something quiet and lethal. like a garotte. yeah i want garotte lance.
