do you think that Harrow would choose Alecto over Gideon?
I think that depends on how you mean it. Like if they were both dangling from a cliff and she could only save one of them? No fucking clue, and I hope to hell she never has to find out.
If she's choosing who to ask to prom, that's much easier. No. Gideon gets the corsage.

The only thing missing for John to become the perfect antagonist is owning a cat that everyone hates and that hates everyone.
The cat follows him around and sits on his lap while he shares tea and biscuits with people. Cohort soldier got the habit of saluting/bowing to the cat out of playfulness. Sometimes it just loafs on high corners of rooms and judges whoever's in it.
Every lyctor fears the thing is psychic somehow or conscious or a human soul trapped in a cat. Maybe even Alecto's soul trapped in a cat!
But no, just a grumpy cat that hates everyone but John.
And Harrow. Harrow is enough of a black cat in spirit for the cat to like her too.
The cat has the warmest golden eyes and makes her puke to look directly at it.
And over the myriads everyone at some point tried to kill it, but John being who he is has been keeping this cat alive for the past 10k+ years.
(Out of pettiness, Pyrrha took the cat away with her in the end of htn and gave it to Nona.)

cant stop thinking about how the pool scene in gtn was clearly a pivotal moment and turning point for harrow and gideon’s relationship but we obviously never got to see the development of that because of The Horrors™️ that ensued at the end of gtn and throughout htn and ntn so im really excited to see how their dynamic changes in alecto the ninth
because presumably they’re on opposing sides now? kiriona/gideon is siding with the emperor and despite harrows devotion and all that i have reason to believe she’ll choose to side with the ice lolly bimbo over jod
and i respect that and i love that for her but im just vibrating in my seat just thinking about what that would mean for harrow and gideon’s already complicated relationship
someone with more brainpower than i could definitely offer a better perspective on this but i just think it would be really interesting to see gideon and harrow on opposing teams, or to see harrow struggle to choose between her devotion to god vs her devotion to the locked tomb
(and to see gideon go against jod because let’s be honest she’ll definitely choose harrow anyway)

“the locked tomb is about love vs. freedom” “the locked tomb is about death” “the locked tomb is about the dangers of codependent relationships” “the locked tomb is about climate change” “the locked tomb is about identity with regards to the soul” yeah sure but above all else. the locked tomb is about bodily autonomy

Per HTN when we learn of the fight Gideon and Harrow had before Harrow opened the tomb, the current theory for how Harrow got in is because she had Gideon's blood on her hands.
This explains how Harrow got in once. It does not, however, explain her other visits to the tomb.
Harrow says in both GTN and HTN that she visited the tomb multiple times in order to get past the traps. So unless bloodwards will continuously allow you entry so long as you've been able to past through them once, how did she get into the tomb those other times?
Because Harrow, even at the age of 10, definitely isn't dumb enough to leave evidence that the tomb was ever opened or tampered with. So the bloodward wouldn't have been tampered with at all (and presumably, she can't tamper with it because it's the magic of God, which we know from what Pyrrha says in NTN when Palamedes tries to mess with the God's magic holding Kiriona's body together).
This would mean the she not only opened the tomb and rolled the rock away once, but multiple times.
With that in mind, I genuinely still think that the bloodward was tampered with from the very beginning by Anastasia, which seems very likely since we know she helped create the tomb. Meaning that Gideon's blood was never the only way of getting into the tomb; the blood of the Tombkeeper would've also worked because the Tombkeeper line has Anastasia's DNA.
This would also explain how Anastasia's bones ended up in the tomb. We know she establishes the Ninth and has children, so she presumably wasn't sealed in the tomb along with Alecto.
This is still all speculation and I can't wait for ATN. I NEED to know more about Alecto and Anastasia's relationship!!!

If you’re still doing the ship rating- Camilla/Palamedes because I’m sorry but fusing into one being in a Catholic inspired text is just not a platonic thing to do and “yes, my whole life, yes; always and forever, yes” is not a platonic thing to say before said fusing
I MEAN... I have no idea what "platonic" or "shippy" means in the context of Camilla and Palamedes, because they are the apex of codependency. In a series that's all about codependent relationships, they raise the bar to new unparalleled heights. They are obsessed with each other. Quite literally two halves of a whole (Paul. Just Paul)
I'm struggling a bit to articulate this but, basically: I get why other people may not read them as romantic or sexual, but ultimately I think it doesn't even matter because they're so much MORE than that. They are such a disaster gordian knot of fucked up and devotion and overwhelming feels that reducing it to whether or not they're fucking seems ??? kinda pointless to me??? because they're each other's whole world. They lived in each other's pockets for years and they shared a body for months. They are each other's whole universe and decided to fuse their souls forever rather than letting one of them live on while the other died. They have SO MUCH going on; what does "platonic" even mean in this context?
tl;dr: I personally do read them as shippy. But also that's not even in my top 3 most noteworthy things about Camilla and Pal, because every facet of their relationship is so rich. I don't even see it as a question of "shippy", I just see it as "it's impossible to disentangle them from one another." They're just. THE MOST complete package. Absolutely completely life partners. Deeply fucked up and they wouldn't have it any other way
(On that note, when I see posts about how the Sixth House have therapy, I think... they absolutely do not. Just because Camilla knows how to do breathing exercises it doesn't mean they are in any way well-adjusted. When Pyrrha Dvue tells you to dial it back, you know you have an issue!
Anyway. Nobody is well-adjusted in this series. Love that for them)
