I’m reading The Secret History and it is single-handedly making me appreciate that sort of pretentious meandering classics-inspired writing style that books that people who take themselves seriously read are written in. Like, somehow so much has happened but at the same time not much has actually happened at all in terms of plot, and it’s technically a thriller but so far it’s mostly just an incredibly boring man bitching about his annoying friend for pages at a time. And it’s AMAZING. Like I’m a little over 200 pages in and if the rest of the book is just them going about their lives side-eyeing Bunny until the inevitable happens I’d be satisfied. I GET it now.

derrick man by process of elimination. his personality is generally not that great however he's the most normal one out of the 6 and would probably be the easiest to convince going to dinner with if it meant eating together in dead silence with no eye contact whatsoever and a mutual disinterest in getting to know each other personally. and i wouldn't have it any other way

Andrei!Asugi could absolutely whoop your ass with a projectile. Ninja skills + the eyesight of an archer? Oof. Shuriken are his best friends. 

On the issue of blood inheritance, he wouldn’t have inherited any of Andrei’s blood genes. I say this because not only does Scipio not have any blood, Andrei’s is minor anyways. 

Wouldn’t it just be so poetic if this kid just offs one of his pas? Like maybe by accident or something. In honor of Andrei’s patricide and Saizo’s completely opposite desire to avenge his father? Like imagine the strife. The turmoil. Keep the wacky father-involving trope going. 

Loves his cousins! It’s where he and his brother differ. Would probably be recruitable through one of them — like Patty or Lana. 

Would love to learn to ride, but that ninja training really doesn’t incorporate that. It certainly can for practicality if he really asks, but Saizo’s more adamant about the boy being good in his feet before relying on a steed to get him from point a to point b. 

Trains overtime. Like if you could get paid, this boy would be rich. Because he’s always in the training grounds, he’s great at picking up Intel on how others fight and what their general train of thought is during combat. Would not want to be his enemy on the singular basis that if he’s seen you train, uh-oh. Your secrets? Now he knows them. 

Has practiced archery, but can only half get past the limitations of a bowstring. He’s so used to having full range of motion throwing objects that the bow feels a little restraining for him. However, he’s been know to fashion makeshift arrows out of kunai and sticks in a pinch. 

✨Attitude✨. Sassy. Like 20% more sassy while still being Asugi. Swats your hand away if you try to take his treats before they’ve cooled. 

If he ever gets a stallion, it’s getting named after a dessert — both because this is sugary Asugi we’re talking about and in honor of the name Buttermilk (Andrei’s steed). 

Could you imagine if he’s ever angry? Look at his parents! Saizo AND Andrei? I wouldn’t touch him with a ten foot pole. 

Likes to see how accurately he can hit several targets. This has led to some interesting set ups and questionable safety situations. But don’t worry! He’ll make sure everyone related to him stays safe. Outside of that? Uh … don’t get too close. Has a pretty solid record.

You don’t want to play him in darts or axe-throwing. His aim is insane. He’ll get you every time.

I wish I didn't hate myself. Barring that, I wish the hatred propelled me into being better, instead of just wanting to scrape my brain out of my skull.

I wonder what life would be like if I wasn't so sick and so tired and in so much pain. What would I do with energy? With time? Would I be productive? Do chores properly? Take care of my mom half as well as she deserves?

Or would I spend it freely on friends and fun?Running away from what I currently am trapped wallowing in?
