#Treecko #skitty #dusknoir #chatot #pokemon doodles #original art #context: I’ve said this before but explorers was the very first pokemon game I ever played #I wasn’t watching the anime then so it was also the first time I ever saw a dusknoir #And for whatever reason I just couldn’t quite….comprehend what he was supposed to be #Thought he was some kind of robot until he did his ghostly disappearing act #Definitely a fun game to play when you know nothing about pokemon!#Everything was so new and exciting! And you don’t know what anyone looks like until you meet them!#The other thing in a similar vein was with dialga #I didn’t know what dialga was SUPPOSED to look like so when they’re all talking about how fucked up he is I was like damn #He DOES look pretty fucked up. Some kind of beast #And then after fixing time you see he looks THE SAME except with a palette change #Like oh. i see. That’s just what you look like #Dialga should’ve got a special form tho #Maybe something replacing the steel type with ghost #Bc without time he’s technically not alive #And I read somewhere the steel typing might’ve represented the steady nature of time or something #So with time being stopped it’s not flowing so steadily huh #This wasn’t supposed to be abt dialga tho. Get your own post #ANYWAY dusknoir is a weird looking guy especially when you’re not quite sure what you’re looking at #but he is canonically handsome so do with that what you will

#vee queued to fill the void #reol’s thing is praying hands emoji but i see that look in her eyes LOL #having a holy moment fr lol and yeah i feel the same opening up my pics to look at stage chuuoku lol #i am so curious how the stage is about to interpret chuuoku lol i saw one post in the wake of the drop #that reminisced on the 10th live and watching the three of them stand as one as the series antagonists #and hoping that despite them being the villains they won’t be depicted as sheer villains by the story #like the chuuoku women are not good people by any means (except nemu she’s trying her best lol)#but they’re still sympathetic people shaping a world against one that shaped them and it was very profound lol i don’t disagree #this is making me want to ramble about canon lol but i hope the stage crew puts in as much thought into who the chuuou ladies are #as they do the og divisions lol i’m kinda expecting something closer to late game otome and anime ichijiku lol #and as for nemu i hope she’s already free from her brainwashing lol #honobono inori and tsukuyomi might be narrative foils for our main three the possibilities are endless it’s so exciting lmao

The fact Shirou is muted by default is horrifying because of course most players aren’t going to mess around in the settings of a visual novel since people will generally assume there’s nothing that needs to be changed in what seems to be such a simple game. I don’t even want to think about how many people will just assume Shirou isn’t voiced because they never saw the voice sliders…

Of course, Fate wasn’t voiced originally but the voice acting for Shirou really does so much for keeping the player from trying too hard to project (heh) on him. And such an important part of understanding Shirou is not treating him as a player insert. The conscious decision to mute Shirou by default and lead the player into seeing him as a player insert is really unforgivable to me.

#i can’t remember if the voice patched pc version mutes him by default but i don’t think that was the case #one of the biggest problems i have with og tsukihime is how nasu and takeuchi try to have shiki be a player insert #while making him hard to relate to #like obviously the player is supposed to project on him when none of the cgs show his face except for when he’s baby #but his circumstances and desires are so unnatural that it makes it impossible to do that #and then it’s harder to understand him as a character beyond that since you’re just thinking ‘i wouldn’t act like that’#since the game is signaling you to project on him so hard #it’s why even though everyone hates the tsukihime anime i’m going to watch it after this #being able to put a voice on shiki that isn’t coming from my head is so important in making him distinct #and you know #being able to see his face

#i just wanna talk to someone who also seen every batman cartoon*#*every animated series for television in which batman is either The protagonist or a main member of the menagerie of protagonists #produced post-super friends (though i have also seen lots of super friends. it’s a hoot)#the only exception being beware the batman. that 3d animated one from 2012 #but other than that i’ve seen #batman the animated series #the batman (2004)#batman the brave and the bold #justice league AND justice league unlimited. obviously #and batman beyond #alas. super friends is the only cartoon from that era that i’ve really seen #never watched the adventures of batman or the new adventures of batman (not to be confused with the new batman adventures)#(which is just kind of the last season of btas really)#don’t be fooled tho. my dc superhero cartoon autism is not limited to just batman #i’ve also seen the rest of the timmverse cartoons. except for the zeta project #but nobody’s seen the zeta project lmao #im not counting batman unlimited bc that wasn’t really A Show. just a couple of animated features and a web series designed specifically for #its accompanying toy line of the same name. so. yk. not really a television series #im also not counting the dcamu because that’s a series of movies and also not tv #i have seen them tho. pretty much all of them. they’re fine

I think. Perhaps. If a story is told through primarily one form of media, you should not be required to consume it in other forms, even if those other formats are also canon, in order to understand what is happening

#opspoilers #im seeing ppl talk abt how smth from the (canon) film red is now being brought up in 1086 #and i hate it. i don’t want to watch any of the movies i shouldn’t have to watch any of the movies #op has an anime yes but it’s primarily a manga.#if i can use d*nganr*npa as a counter example:#the story is mainly told thru the three ‘‘mainline’’ games #and while there are anime light novels and a fourth game that are all canon #you don’t need to experience any of that to understand the story #bc the extra stuff is just expanding on the world details and characters #futurama is an exception bc the primary format is television and the movies connect s4 and s5 #but w op even though there is an anime many people are manga only

Definitely shonen anime or mecha anime! However, it’s a select few shows since Lambda’s pretty picky outside of the times he actually wants to try a new show. His tastes kind of lean over to 90s, 80s, and the even rarer 60s-70′s anime.

Choice picks include:

Yu Yu Hakusho (1992), Astro Boy (2003), The Slayers (1995), The King of Braves GaoGaiGar (1998), Getter Robo (1974) and just for dumb joke purposes…. Devilman (1972)

man my animation teacher is so cool. she’s such a chill person and i trust her a whole lot :)

#she’s not the cool teacher as in the one you form a deep emotional bond with #she’s the cool teacher as in she gives you autonomy but still provides help if you need #and if you want your classwork to be more challenging she will absolutely do that for you #it’s very. refreshing #of course i’m in the highest level class now (practicum baby) and there’s only like. 6 of us (which rules)#but also it’s a 2-period class and we share 6th period with animation 2 so #(i don’t mind honestly- i share a row with the pretty person i’ve been mentioning and the class is funny)#(that being said i get frustrated when we watch anything even mildly experimental and they’re all ‘WOAH WTF !!!!’ shut up)#(u literally started taking this class bc you liked aot if you can handle that you can handle a girl turning into a spider monster)#(just let the animation be weird and cool. cowards could never withstand 1920s animation)#but she’s just like cool and awesome in a bunch of little ways #she’s given me permission to spend 7th period filming for an english project with my friends on the condition that i show her the film when #it’s done #also she keeps little snacks on her and today she switched it up and put in like granola bars and stuff #everything got eaten except for some smoked salmon #she made a joke out of it. i immediately said ‘i’ll take it’#i got a yummy snack to eat while i worked AND i stopped clenching my jaw bc chewy salmon stim yas #she’s just. very relaxed. she treats us with agency and it’s like a breath of fresh air #plus she gives us tips about getting into the industry. i’m gonna be so good at making connections and marketing myself #speaking of which i might make some art social medias on other platforms soon #i would only ever use ‘em for art and then keep the tumblr blog for my personal stuff #(art would also be posted here dw)#but if i had like. an insta or smth i could post my stuff there :)#maybe twt too. once again NOT for personal use i would not be getting involved on twt as an actual user. god no #but. a semi-professional art blog insta and twt sounds smart #she suggested tiktok but idk. i have a vehement hatred for that website
