‘You’re a good man, Mister Oats?’ said Granny, conversationally, as the echoes died away. ‘Even without your holy book and holy amulet and holy hat?’ ‘Er . . . I try to be . . .’ he ventured. ‘Well . . . this is where you find out,’ said Granny. ‘To the fire we come at last, Mister Oats. This is where we both find out.’

Oh, but boba's way too cutesy! Granny can't be having with it! That's where you're wrong. Boba is exactly the kind of thing somebody who takes tea with ten sugars and a jug of milk would drink. Also, the presence of a straw means there will be vampiric-sounding slurping.
Extra cursed Nanny reaction under cut:

I love Him. If He should die, I would die with Him. He belongs to no one. He belongs to me. I would rather kill Him than give Him away. I’ve abandoned my father, abandoned my mother, abandoned the land where I was born just to walk with Him. I don’t believe in heaven. I don’t believe in god. I don’t believe that He will come back to life. What makes Him think He can be the king of Israel? Those idiot disciples believe that He is the Son of God and are over the moon to have heard that ‘Gospel of the Kingdom of God’ from Him. It’s a pitiful sight. They’ll be disappointed, I know it. He promised that whosoever exalteth himself shall be abased and whosoever humbleth himself shall be exalted—like He knows how the world works! He’s a liar. Everything He teaches and everything He says is straight-up nonsense, and I don’t believe any of it. The only thing I believe in is His beauty. There is no one as beautiful as Him in the world. I am purely and simply in love with His beauty. That’s all there is to it. I don’t expect any reward. I’m certainly not self-serving enough to hang around out of some misbegotten expectation of being made any Minister of State in heaven. I just don’t want to leave Him. I’m just happy watching Him, and hearing His voice, and being by His side. And, if it were possible, to have Him give up preaching and to live with me, just the two of us, forever. Ah, if only He would! It would be bliss. I only believe in the present. Happiness in this life is all we have. Judgement after death doesn’t scare me. My love is unconditional and pure. Why won’t He accept it? Ahh, you must kill Him. Sir. I know where He is. I will lead you to Him. He debases me, He despises me. Why does He treat me so cruelly when I am the one who saves Him and His disciples from starving every day?

The Wise Woman
1 Every wise woman buildeth her house, but the foolish plucketh it down with her hands. 2 He that walketh in his uprightness feareth the LORD, but he that is perverse in his ways despiseth Him. 3 The mouth of the foolish is a rod of pride, but the lips of the wise shall preserve him. 4 Where no oxen are, the crib is clean, but much increase comes by the strength of the ox. 5 A faithful witness will not lie, but a false witness will utter lies. 6 A scorner seeketh wisdom and findeth it not, but knowledge is easy unto him that understandeth. 7 Go from the presence of a foolish man when thou perceivest not in him the lips of knowledge. 8 The wisdom of the prudent is to understand his way, but the folly of fools is to be deceived. 9 Fools mock at sin, but among the righteous there is favor. 10 The heart knoweth his own bitterness, and a stranger doth not intermeddle with his joy.
11 The house of the wicked shall be overthrown, but the tabernacle of the upright shall flourish. 12 There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death. 13 Even in laughter the heart is sorrowful, and the end of that mirth is heaviness. 14 The backslider in heart shall be filled with his own ways, and a good man shall be satisfied from himself. 15 The simple believeth every word, but the prudent man looketh well to his going. 16 A wise man feareth, and departeth from evil, but the fool rageth and is confident. 17 He that is soon angry dealeth foolishly, and a man of wicked devices is hated. 18 The simple inherit folly, but the prudent are crowned with knowledge. 19 The evil bow before the good, the wicked at the gates of the righteous. 20 The poor is hated even by his own neighbor, but the rich hath many friends.
21 He that despiseth his neighbor sinneth, but he that hath mercy on the poor, happy is he. 22 Do they not err that devise evil? But mercy and truth shall be to them that devise good. 23 In all labor there is profit, but the talk of the lips tendeth only to penury. 24 The crown of the wise is their riches, but the foolishness of fools is folly. 25 A truthful witness delivereth souls, but a deceitful witness speaketh lies. 26 In the fear of the LORD is strong confidence, and His children shall have a place of refuge. 27 The fear of the LORD is a fountain of life to depart from the snares of death. 28 In a multitude of people is the honor of the king, but the lack of people is the destruction of the prince. 29 He that is slow to wrath is of great understanding, but he that is hasty of spirit exalteth folly. 30 A sound heart is the life of the flesh, but envy is the rottenness of the bones.
31 He that oppresseth the poor reproacheth his Maker, but he that honoreth Him hath mercy on the poor. 32 The wicked is driven away in his wickedness, but the righteous hath hope in his death. 33 Wisdom resteth in the heart of him that hath understanding, but that which is innermost in fools is made known. 34 Righteousness exalteth a nation, but sin is a reproach to any people. 35 The king's favor is toward a wise servant, but his wrath is against him that causeth shame. — Proverbs 14 | Third Millennium Bible (TMB) Third Millennium Bible, New Authorized Version, Copyright 1998 by Deuel Enterprises, Inc. “For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds; Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ.” (2 Corinthians 10:4-5).
The warfare zone will he experienced by EVERY believer. At times the war is a battle over doing the will of God. Many times we become frustrated because we cannot fulfill our own expectations, which are often expectations we placed upon ourselves that God is not requiring. Other conflicts are caused by our struggle against demonic agents that might be assigned as hindering spirits, similar to Paul’s thorn in the flesh,” the messenger of Satan that buffeted him (2 Corinthians 12:7).

Today we’re going to talk about deliverance (casting out unclean spirits.)
What is deliverance and who needs deliverance?
Let’s dig deeper today with deliverance
meaning: liberation, freeing, rescue, or salvation. Set free from bondage.
Deliverance -Greek Soteria
definition is deliverance, salvation.
The usage: welfare, prosperity, deliverance, preservation, salvation, safety.
Hebrew - teshua
Definition: deliverance, salvation, rescue and relief.
Deliverance means to cast out evil spirits (unclean spirits, demons, devils.) helping fellow believers overcome negative thoughts, negative behaviors, and feelings not only through the Holy Spirit but Jesus too.
Jesus asked us to not only spread the good news but to cast out devils:
Mark 16:17
These signs shall follow them that believe; in my name, shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues ;
So now we broke down deliverance and it is being set free from the unclean spirits that cause to be bound. (Strongholds)
When we are saved, baptized, and received the Holy Spirit. Jesus does deliver us. We have some strongholds that we are not aware of; open doors that need to be closed.
So do we need deliverance? The answer is yes. Do Christians need deliverance? The answer is also yes. This is part of cleaning ourselves.
2 Corinthians 7:1
Having therefore these promises, dearly beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God.
So in this verse, we can see it’s just not cleansing flesh but our spirit too.
Cleansing the flesh and spiritual cleansing :
Galatians 5: 19-21
Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, envyings, murders drunkenness, revelings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time, which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.
Galatians 5:22-26
But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, temperance: against such there is no law. And they that are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts. If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the spirit. Let us not be desirous of vain glory, provoking one another, envying one another.
Revelations 7:14
and I said onto him, sir, thou knowest. And he said to me, these are they which came out of great tribulation, and have washed their robes, and made them white in the blood of the Lamb.
Psalms 51:10
Created me a clean heart, O GOD; and renew a right spirit within me.
We have to clean our house (flesh, and spirit) because these unclean spirits think of us as their homes. so we have to do some deep cleaning with ourselves. Remove all the clutter, and like the word says, have no room for the devil.
Ephesians 4:27
Neither give place to the devil.
We have to clean our hearts of the world. (Repent) going back to Palms 51:10 create me a clean heart, O GOD, and renew a right spirit within me.
Mouth:Remember to be mindful of the words we use. This includes what we say to others and ourselves. For example, we should avoid using foul language, gossiping about others, and constantly complaining.
Matthew 15:11
Not that which goeth into the mouth defileth a man; but that which comets out of the mouth, this defileth a man.
Our minds are battlegrounds, with negative and intrusive thoughts launching attacks from the enemy. We must eliminate these ungodly thoughts and thought processes to emerge victorious!
Romans 12:2
And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.
2 Corinthians 10:4-5
(For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strongholds; )
Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity, every thought to the obedience of Christ;
Any hidden sin, unforgiveness, bitterness, and what you struggle with that you know that is ungodly. Example: porn, lying, being prideful etc.. we need to let go.
Ephesians 4 :21-32
If so, be that you have heard him, and have been taught by him, as the truth is in Jesus: that you put off concerning the former conversations, the old man, which is corrupt, according to the deceitful lusts; and be renewed in the spirit of the mind; and that you put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness. Wherefore putting away lying, speak every man truth with his neighbor: for we are members one of another. Be ye angry, and sin not: let not the sun go down upon your wrath: Never give place to the devil. Let him that stole still no more: but rather let him labor, working with his hands the things which is good, that he may have to give to him that needeth. Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister grace unto the hearers. And grieve not the holy spirit of God, whereby you are sealed into the day of redemption. Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and calmour, and evil speaking, be put away from you with all malice: and be kind one to another, tenderhearted, for giving one another, even as God for Christ’s sake has forgiven you.
Spiritually we can struggle a lot and not even know it. Here’s a few examples:
Soul ties -1 Samuel 18:1 / 1 corinthians 6:16
Now soul ties can be caused by sexual lust.
Lust- Hosea 5:4
Anger- Matthew 5:22
Hatred- Ephesians 4:31
Depression - Isaiah 61:3
Infirmity - Luke 5:13
Unforgiveness- 2 corinthians 2:10
Fear - 2 Timothy 1:7
Suicide (should not kill) - Exodus 20:13 / Matthew 27:5
Witchcraft- revelations 9:21 / exodus 22:18
Inner vows : proverbs 20:25
Generational curses exodus34:7, 20:5-6
Joshua had stated whoever rebuilt Jericho they cursed their first born son and youngest son. Joshua 7:26-27 and God was with Joshua. In 1 kings 16:34 Hiel disregarded Joshua’s curse and rebuild Jericho. So his sons paid the price of the curse. These generational curses could be various of things. You will notice ungodly patterns (anger, drugs etc) from your grandma, your mother, even your aunts and uncles to you and your children.
so how do we get deliverance? Throughout the Bible it will tell you how to be delivered. Psalms 34:17,50:15,107:6,34:4 2 Samuel 22:2
We have to have a firm foundation with Jesus. We have to be in his word daily, prayer, fasting, and make Him the center of our life. We are to be filled with the Holy Spirit and be baptized. We have to repent of any sins in Mark 6:13-14: noticed they said men must repent the next verse says and they cast out many devils.
Repentance:
psalms 51:1-6
Have mercy upon me, O God, according to the lovingkindness: according unto the multitude of the tender mercies blot out my transgressions. Wash me thoroughly from mine iniquity, and cleanse me from my sin. For I acknowledge my transgressions.: and my sin is ever before me. Against thee, thee only, have I sinned , and done this evil in the sight: That thou mightest be justified when thou speakest, and be clear when thou judgest. Behold, I was shapen In iniquity; and in sin did my mother conceived me. Behold, thou desirest truth in the inward parts: and in the hidden part thou shout make me to know wisdom.
We have to be forgiving. We can’t have any unforgiveness because that gives legal right to the unclean spirit to keep that door open Matthew 18: 32-35.
Then we start renouncing our strongholds
2 Corinthian 4:2
But have renounced the hidden things of dishonesty, not walking in craftiness, nor handling the word of God deceitfully; but by manifestation of the truth, commending ourselves to every man’s conscience in the sight of God.
Renouncing means letting go of attachments and aversion.
Greek -apeipon
Definition: to forbid, renounce
Usage: I renounce, disown, forbid, and refuse.
This is where we can use the authority. Jesus gave us in HIS NAME . Luke 10:19
So biblically we need fellow believers to do this because these unclean spirits don’t want to leave us that easy. So we need additional help. Example: prayer during the renouncing and deliverance.
Now you can renounce stuff on your own, but remember you are asking Jesus to deliver you and you are going to tell these unclean spirits to LEAVE IN JESUS NAME. Sometimes these unclean spirits can be stubborn. So that’s when you need a fellow believer to be there with you to help you. Prayer and fasting are what’s going to help the best.
Matthew 17:21 and Mark 9:19
After you renounce everything you will get filled with the Holy Spirit in every vacant place in your body and we have to keep our house clean. As it says in Matthew 12:43-45 they will try to come back and they will bring seven more with them.
Jesus called us to do this. He gave us that power ( authority). Matthew 10:1, 28:18-20, Mark 16:15-18
Remember, it's not us doing it, it's all happening in the name of Jesus. We are merely open vessels for Him to work through. Jesus is always the answer for deliverance. He is the deliverer. All glory be to God.
Romans 7:25
I thank God through Jesus Christ, our Lord. So then with the mind, I myself serve the law of God; but with the flesh the law of sin.

Psalms chapter 148
1 Praise ye the LORD. Praise ye the LORD from the heavens: praise him in the heights.
2 Praise ye him, all his angels: praise ye him, all his hosts.
3 Praise ye him, sun and moon: praise him, all ye stars of light.
4 Praise him, ye heavens of heavens, and ye waters that be above the heavens.
5 Let them praise the name of the LORD: for he commanded, and they were created.
6 He hath also stablished them for ever and ever: he hath made a decree which shall not pass.
7 Praise the LORD from the earth, ye dragons, and all deeps:
8 Fire, and hail; snow, and vapour; stormy wind fulfilling his word:
9 Mountains, and all hills; fruitful trees, and all cedars:
10 Beasts, and all cattle; creeping things, and flying fowl:
11 Kings of the earth, and all people; princes, and all judges of the earth:
12 Both young men, and maidens; old men, and children:
13 Let them praise the name of the LORD: for his name alone is excellent; his glory is above the earth and heaven.
14 He also exalteth the horn of his people, the praise of all his saints; even of the children of Israel, a people near unto him. Praise ye the LORD.

2 Thessalonians 2:3-4
Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition; Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God.
Daniel 12:4
But thou, O Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book, even to the time of the end: many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall be increased.

He glanced at Granny. She’d changed as soon as the others had entered. Before, she’d been bowed and tired. Now she was standing tall and haughty, supported by a scaffolding of pride.

THE MYSTERY OF INIQUITY
2 Thessalonians 2:2 That ye be not soon shaken in mind, or be troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by letter as from us, as that the day of Christ is at hand.
2 Thessalonians 2:3 Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;
2 Thessalonians 2:4 WHO OPPOSETH AND EXALTETH HIMSELF ABOVE ALL THAT IS CALLED GOD, OR THAT IS WORSHIPPED; SO THAT HE AS GOD SITTETH IN THE TEMPLE OF GOD, SHEWING HIMSELF THAT HE IS GOD.
2 Thessalonians 2:5 Remember ye not, that, when I was yet with you, I told you these things.
2 Thessalonians 2:6 And now ye know what withholdeth that he might be revealed in his time.

Moyers: Do you give people who make this case, that that was the beginning and that there had to be something that provoked the beginning, do you give them an A at least for trying to reconcile faith and reason?
Tyson: I don’t think they’re reconcilable.
Moyers: What do you mean?
Tyson: Well, so let me say that differently. All efforts that have been invested by brilliant people of the past have failed at that exercise. They just fail. And so I don’t, the track record is so poor that going forward, I have essentially zero confidence, near zero confidence, that there will be fruitful things to emerge from the effort to reconcile them.
So, for example, if you knew nothing about science, and you read, say, the Bible, the Old Testament, which in Genesis, is an account of nature, that’s what that is, and I said to you, give me your description of the natural world based only on this, you would say the world was created in six days, and that stars are just little points of light much lesser than the sun. And that in fact, they can fall out of the sky, right, because that’s what happens during the Revelation.
You know, one of the signs that the second coming, is that the stars will fall out of the sky and land on Earth. To even write that means you don’t know what those things are. You have no concept of what the actual universe is. So everybody who tried to make proclamations about the physical universe based on Bible passages got the wrong answer.
So what happened was, when science discovers things, and you want to stay religious, or you want to continue to believe that the Bible is unerring, what you would do is you would say, “Well, let me go back to the Bible and reinterpret it.” Then you’d say things like, “Oh, well they didn’t really mean that literally. They meant that figuratively.”
So, this whole sort of reinterpretation of the, how figurative the poetic passages of the Bible are came after science showed that this is not how things unfolded. And so the educated religious people are perfectly fine with that. It’s the fundamentalists who want to say that the Bible is the literally, literal truth of God, that and want to see the Bible as a science textbook, who are knocking on the science doors of the schools, trying to put that content in the science room. Enlightened religious people are not behaving that way. So saying that science is cool, we’re good with that, and use the Bible for, to get your spiritual enlightenment and your emotional fulfillment.
Moyers: Do you have any sympathy for people who seem to only feel safe in the vastness of the universe you describe in your show if they can infer a personal God who makes it more hospitable to them, who cares for them?
Tyson: In this, what we tell ourselves is a free country, which means you should have freedom of thought, I don't care what you think. I just don't. Go think whatever you want. Go ahead. Think that there is one God, two gods, ten gods, or no gods. That is what it means to live in a free country. The problem arises is if you have a religious philosophy that is not based in objective realities, that you then want to put into the science classroom. Then I am going to stand there and say no I am not going to allow you in the science classroom. I am not telling you what to think. I am just telling you in the science classroom you are not doing science. This is not science. Keep it out. That is when I stand up. Otherwise, go ahead. I am not telling you how to think.

Proverbs 3:5
Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.
Proverbs 14:12
There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death.
2 Corinthians 10:5
Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ
Even the bible says that faith and reason are irreconcilable.
Faith rebukes reason.
