Hi, this anon again😅 haven't slept yet again...it's 6 am🙃. I just love the idea that Dazai with all his godlike intelligence is the kind of guy to see immediately what troubles or struggles his significant other has with themselves or in general.

If you have trauma he will immediately catch on, self esteem issues? Immediately caught on, mommy or daddy issues? People pleaser? He knows it, and many other things, he will immediately figure it out as you both date.

He'll probably even do little things that you'd think he doesn't understand how much it means to you, like validating you, making sure you always have a specific comfort of yours at hand, you'd think he just does it because he saw that you liked it, but it was because he knew what it would do for you, what it makes you feel.

Dazai sees you and he doesn't just see your traumas and things you struggle with of course, he first sees someone he loves unconditionally. Dazai knows you love him with all your heart especially after knowing about his past.

Dazai will tell if you're sensitive, if you're uncomfortable with loud noises, if you get emotional about a lot of things, if you're lonely around people, if you're masking your real personality around other people, if you've only heard criticism instead of any praise, if you've been undermined and seen as a second choice, Dazai will know.

And he will show you from the moment he picks up on everything, that you're never gonna feel like that again as long as he's there, and he will always be there. He will validate everything you always wanted to be validated. Dazai from the Port to ADA is very much "gun is love, gun is life" to "what is gun, what is this metal thing that can hurt another human being!?" An exaggeration of course but that's how he probably would be even though he's joking, but the second someone tried to mess with you, suddenly every training he had in the Port comes back and he's immediately shown to be this incredibly intimidating and ruthless man to anyone who tries hurt you.

Dazai's eyes narrow, and shakes his head rapidly. Mission accepted, he thinks. He knows what you need, and if you won't cater to your needs, he'll have to just do it himself. He lives to see you at ease, because you deserve the entire world. You will not, under any circumstances, be stressed under his watchful eye... And he also just really wants an excuse to cuddle later without having to hear about dumb things like work. It's a win-win, and you don't have a choice! He sighs, and puts on his little performance.

".. You expect me, the great Osamu Dazai, to simply watch as I witness my favorite detective work themself to the bone?! Absolutely not! I refuse. Come, we're going to the cafe downstairs."

You groan as he pulls you, smiling in reluctance.

He flashes you a sly smirk and a wink.

"That's why I have you, silly! Your philanthropic and generous heart is willing to treat me as your penance for being so stubborn. How noble of you. You really shouldn't have."

You roll your eyes, sighing deeply as you zoom out of the agency with him.

"The waitress there wants to kill you, you know."

You mutter under your breath with a playful smile. Dazai gasps dramatically and looks back at you, still holding you by the arm, tighening just a smidge.

"Oh, goodness! I'm quaking. well thank god i'm bringing you, my precious little scapegoat~"

Despite your feigned annoyance, your cheeks redden, and it's hard not to become endeared with how relentless he is in his pursuits to distract you. what a slack off, you want to kiss his stupid face until he shuts up. You might just have to.

"You're the worst, Dazai."

"Mm, what a weird way to say 'I love you.' I'll take it."

this is a silly little thing, but basically overly observant and on the case Dazai he just NEEDS to make you the happiest whether you like it or not!

haii guys i wrote chpt1 earlier and decided that it needs more added to it so here’s chpt2 :3

Simon’s morning started off just how it always did; kicking off the blankets, stretching out his back, and making that same awkward shuffle across the room towards the bathroom to brush his teeth and his hair. He still had that same old ache in his back and his joints as he slowly felt himself come back to the realm of the living. He didn’t bother with putting on a proper pair of pants before heading downstairs to the kitchen. It was a wednesday, he had the house to himself until much later in the evening.

He made himself his usual breakfast, hunching over the kitchen counter to eat as he scrolled through his phone. When he opened it, he realized that he’d forgotten to text Soap the night before. His phone opened up directly to Soap’s contact, which he’d noted down as ‘Johnny’ with a bar of soap emoji, but he hadn’t managed to send a message before he nodded off. Fuck. That’s awkward.

Simon💀: meant to text last just but got sidetracked, sorry

A half-assed apology was better than one, he decided. He didn’t include his name in the message, but judging by how quickly his phone vibrated against the counter, he didn’t necessarily need to add it.

Johnny🧼: all good, sweetheart

Johnny🧼: how’s ur morning going? did you sleep well?

Oddly charming. Not that he’d expected Soap to be turned off from texting him in the slightest. If anything, he was grateful for it to be just business as usual.

Simon💀: bit of a late start, but slept good.

Simon💀: eating breakfast now, how’s your day going?

He finished up his bowl of cereal, giving the bowl a half-asses rinse at the sink so that nothing would harden up before he gathered the willpower to properly load up the dishwasher. Maybe he’d get to it later this evening, maybe he wouldn’t. Wouldn’t seemed much more likely at the present moment.

Johnny🧼: nothin too crazy

Ghost nearly rolled his eyes as soon as he read the message. Of course he’d been bored. It seemed like that was always the case.

Simon💀: you poor thing, whatever will you do.

Ghost put his phone into his pocket briefly before heading upstairs, shutting the door to his room behind him out of reflex. He didn’t necessarily need to, but it wasn’t the worst habit to have. He opened his stash box and got out his pipe, he really did need to clean it.

As much of a pain in the ass as it was, he walked into the bathroom and got everything he needed. He’d leave the piece soaking overnight and would use a backup one for now. He checked his phone again as soon as he got the pipe settled into a plastic bag.

Johnny🧼: have u tried the new stuff yet?

He’d nearly forgotten about it, in fact. He looked over the baggie as he sat down onto the bean bag chair in his room. He could tell from the smell of the weed alone as he loaded up the grinder that it was potent . incredibly so.

Simon💀: not yet, loading up a bowl rn

Simon💀: smells strong as shit ngl.

The bud was nearly sticking to his fingers as he packed the bowl, the smell filling the room before he’d even sparked his lighter. It wasn’t that Soap always gave him shit weed, but he hadn’t expected this from a random strain that he’d given him to try. For free no less. And who the hell would Ghost be to turn down free weed that seemed to be at least halfway decent?

He flipped on the TV before settling down onto his beanbag chair and sparking up his bowl. The hit was sharp, almost immediately giving him that subtle, burning feeling at the back of his throat. The smoke still grunted slighting on the blowout, but there was a subtle almost citrusy flavour to it that say heavy on his tongue. Fuck. It felt good.

Simon kept taking slow, lazy hits from the pipe, leaning back and watching the smoke swirl and dance above him before it slowly dispersed throughout the room into nothing. The sunlight streaming in through the window made it look almost magical.

Simons phone had gotten tossed onto the bed at some point and he’d long since forgotten about it. He could feel the high slowly creeping in, his head filling with cotton and that euphoric loosening of his limps and muscles. Nothing else mattered in that moment… Aside from cracking a window; he’d finished smoking his bowl and the room was feeling rather stuffy. He opened the window quickly, swaying slighting from standing up too fast, and settled back down into the beanbag chair. He tapped the ash out of his pipe onto his rolling tray, stamping out the still smoldering bits with the bottom of his lighter, before leaning back and staring up at the ceiling. He wasn’t going to be moving from this spot for a minute. He could tell almost immediately. He could faintly hear the TV going in the background and that was the only thing keeping him grounded in the present. He hadn’t gotten a high like this in a minute.

For some reason, he felt durant to his acoustic guitar sitting over in the corner. The guitar was old, probably just as old as Simon was but he didn’t particularly care to do the math on that. He didn’t know the exact type of guitar he had, but it was a Suzuki SG-2S guitar and it was scuffed to hell and back. That guitar had seen him through three different moves that he knew about, the pick guard being coated in hundreds of overlapping scratch marks. The finish of the guitar was worn off in several spots, but Simon still found it beautiful. Tommy had called the color ‘Tobacco Sunburst’ but Simon thought the same was fucking stupid.

He sat up briefly before slinging the guitar over his lap, not bothering to slide the strap over his shoulders. His fingers quickly slid to pick out from between the strings and the fretboard at the top of the guitar, the calluses on his fingertips lining up perfectly with the strings. He idly picked through a few different scales. Warming up on the guitar was practically second nature to him at this point. He’d been playing guitar for just about as long as he could remember. His mother had taught him as soon as he was big enough to hold a guitar and he’d fallen in love with the instrument as soon as he touched the strings. Some of his fondest memories growing up were of playing guitar with his mum, often accompanied by Tommy singing along to whatever song they were playing, his voice being incredibly loud and off-key.

The guitar belonged to his mother originally, and it had been a birthday gift from her. He’d part with it over his dead body. Though the guitar didn’t look the best, it was absolutely priceless to him. He hummed softly to himself as he slowly worked through different riff that had been giving him trouble. The guitar was tuned perfectly, and Simon felt himself getting lost in the sound of it. The soft squeaks of the strings against his fingers, the gentle thrums from the pick, nearly everything was enchanting.

Playing guitar was always an incredibly therapeutic thing for Simon. At the very least, it was a conversation starter for just something he could bring up for meaningless smalltalk. He’d been asked to play at a few of Gaz’s parties, but the idea of having that many people staring at him while he was playing made him want to gouge his throat out with a fork. He’d rather play alone in his room, and he had no problem with admitting that.

He hadn’t been to many of Gaz’s parties recently, but he appreciated that Gaz didn’t nag him too terribly for not showing up. He didn’t know everyone who was there and his idea of fun didn’t typically consist of sitting off in a corner awkwardly for a few hours before he deemed it acceptable to leave.

Funnily enough, Soap always seemed to be at Gaz’s parties whenever he’d have them. Soap would never outright approach Simon, but he’d always give him a wave and that same, charming smile he always seemed to have primed and ready. Did Soap know how to play guitar? Could he at least sing halfway decent? He’d have to ask next time he saw him. 

Simon decided he was done playing guitar for now once he’d realized he’d been staring at the wall for the past ten minutes, not moving a single muscle. He placed it back onto its stand in the corner before immediately laying back down into bed. The soft breeze coming in through the window made his room cool, but still extremely pleasant for him to be in. He laid on his stomach with one leg lifted up as he started scrolling through his phone to keep his mind occupied. 

Even while being on his phone, his mind couldn’t stop drifting towards thoughts of Johnny. Objectively he was mildly annoying, to put things lightly. He always seemed to gravitate towards Simon like a lost puppy just to make flirty comments towards him. (It had taken Simon an embarrassing amount of time to figure out that he was flirting and not just being nice.) Though he was annoying, Simon couldn’t deny that he was incredibly attractive despite his horrifically outdated mohawk, but it did suit him quite well. 

Simon didn’t consider himself to be very much of a relationship person. Things had a tendency to not work out and he’d much rather save himself the grief than fling himself at anyone who showed him the smallest bit of attention. While this was true, he’d be lying if he said that he didn’t enjoy the attention that Johnny was always all too willing to give him. Johnny made him feel like he was the most important person in the room. He’d be stupid to not enjoy it.

He wanted to get closer to Johnny, nearly feeling shitty for how little he actually knew about him. He didn’t know much about his hobbies, only knowing his taste in music from their drives that they would go on together. Their respective tastes in music had a significant amount of overlap, which Simon greatly appreciated. He found himself always feeling drawn towards Johnny. He wanted to be closer to him, whether that was just as friends or otherwise.

Johnny was undeniably attractive; you could even argue that he was Simon’s type. He had a decent amount of muscle to him, a stunning smile, and those beautiful blue eyes that Simon could easily get lost in for hours. His patchwork tattoos that were more than likely done in someone’s kitchen or basement left something to be desired, but Simon couldn’t say much on the quality or overall design of his tattoos. (He didn’t have much ground to stand on with his overly edgy sleeve he’d gotten the week after he turned 18.) Johnny was cocky and oftentimes overly confident, but Simon liked it, oddly enough. He was charming and always seemed to know exactly what to say to get a laugh or any other reaction out of Simon. He liked Johnny much more than he’d initially expected to.

 Simon wasn’t entirely picky with who he hooked up with, but it wasn’t something that he often sought out. With Johnny, however, he had half a mind to invite him over. I didnt originally plan to make them colours of the rainbow like how the Sanders Sides +c!Thomas are, that was a very recent idea.

I am orange, Maddox/Impulse is red, Memphis/Egotism is pink, Melvin/Compassion is green, Medusa/Creativity is cyan & I recently made Mercury/Paranoia yellow. Maven/Fatigue is probably going to be purple & I don't have another side to make indigo.

My sides' logos r all over the place, instead of being on their chest like (most of) the Sanders Sides :P

Melvin's logo is two hands interlocked & it's a patch on his battle jacket. Its place on his heart.

Madds' logo is like the boom emoji (💥) or explosion. It is placed on the sides of its big combat boots.

Medusa's logo is like. An eyeball. Painbrush. This will change idk what i was thinking originally NDHSKFNFB. Kits logo is placed on the front of kits overalls pocket.

Maven's logo is a bunch of Zs like a sleeping person would be given in art (💤). It's placed on the largest pin on their beanie.

Memphis' logo is a pink, handheld mirror. It is one of the charms on her phone.

Mercs does not... have a logo design. & the logo is either on the back of Mercs' shirt or on one of Mercs' bracelets.

Relationship dynamics:

All my sides get along relatively ok & good. If the Sanders Sides wont love each other then MINE WILL!!!

The only sides that have a somewhat rough relationship is Mel & Madds. Mel, being compassion, wants 2 hear everything 1st in any sort of conflict & tends 2 have a more unbiased view on everything. He is still incredibly supportive & kind regardless of his personal opinion. He is like... Making soup 4 everyone and wanting to help as many people as possible.

Madds, on the other hand, being impulse & a lot of my ""negative"" violent feelings, refuses 2 hear ANYONE out. It will hold a grudge til the end of the earth even if it doesnt know the whole story. As soon as some sort of conflict happens it is choosing the Worse answer imaginable regardless if it even fits the situation ("did that guy just bump into you? We have to kill them" "im sure it was an accident—" "it absolutely Was Not").

OBVIOUSLY. THEY DON'T AGREE MOST OF THE TIME DNSHDKDN. Mel is like "lets talk this out. Communication is important!" & madds is like "Everyone here is wrong except for me. Lets kill them all now."

Maven's trait is fatigue bcuz i have CFS/ME*, though they also represent any sort of fatigue(??) Im. Unsure how to explain. Back in middle schopl before I developed CFS/ME, it was a lot of suicidal/depressive fatigue. It can also be executive dysfunction or autistic shutdowns/meltdowns. ETC whatever u get it.

Very good cook, though you wouldn't recognize the ingredients used. Everything is safe to consume and vegetarian!

you know, it was supposed to be a secret that jay had telepathic and empathetic abilities, it was something that was supposed to be talked abt in my fic, but i started talking abt it on discord and then... well i take forever writing so now i just talk about it freely 

Jay’s empathy is a little different from the typical empath, as he literally feels the pain and emotions, not just strongly sympathies. For example, if he were near someone who was shot in the leg, he would feel the same pain, and feel the same emotions of fear and shock as if it happened to him, and not the person beside him. For the most part, Jay has learned to tune these things out, but very strong, intense pains and emotions still get to him and affect him. This is exactly why he is so terrified of the supernatural. He can’t see ghosts and entities, but he can feel all of them, all their pain and fear and anger. Haunted places terrify him because he doesn’t understand why he’s suddenly filled with dread and sadness, or why he’s suddenly super angry about things that never happened to him. Jay doesn’t know he has these abilities, he never knew his father and never knew he was in possession of the artifact that gave him these abilities, all he knows is that some areas of the Commonwealth hold great pain and resentment. 

Many hospitals, graveyards, houses, and old stores are haunted around the Commonwealth, and he feels all the pain and sadness of those people who were killed in crimes before the war or killed in the blast. Places like old pre-war schools will make him cry against his will, old retirement homes are the same way. Places like Dunwich borers terrify him, as he can’t really understand the feelings he gets when he’s there, on top of the fear and mindlessness of the pre-war miners who were drawn there for the supernatural cult, and the fact that you know, its a deep, dark, steep, underground mine, none of those things mix well with him. 

The Glowing Sea is overflowing with pain, fear, and sadness. He feels confusion and desperation from most of the Children of Atom. The Brotherhood all literally radiated arrogance, though some of the members seem confused and uncertain. He can feel when people like/love him, which is how he knew Preston was interested in him, and was happy when he married Nick and still felt nothing but happiness from Preston. He could feel Father’s disgust in his disabilities, and felt his growing anger every time Jay turned down an offer to try to ‘fix’ his disabilities. All Father was doing was trying to make Jay ‘useful’, because he didn’t think Jay was capable the way he was. He didn’t know of all the things Jay had accomplished on the surface, and how incredibly resourceful and competent Jay really is. (I’m sorry I wrote Father as an ableist it just... kinda... happened..... idk he just seems like he would be an asshole like that, I mean look at everything else he did....) So Jay turned down offers to fix his hearing and attempted a transplant for an actual leg, and though he accepted the offer to have his sight restored, he actually regrets it as it turned out to be an experiment to test night vision for future coursers. After that, he realized Father wasn’t actually trying to help him, and was just trying to use him but didn’t think he was capable the way he was. 

Jay has spent a lot of time building himself up and learning to live life the way he has to, and it really insults him when Father tries those things. He spent so long learning and fighting to prove that he’s capable, that he might have disabilities but he’s still just as able as everyone else and to have someone who essentially grew up in the lap of luxury just shrug and say he’s useless was infuriating. Especially because that guy was his son who he risked his life and went through so much to find him. Jay is extremely disappointed in Father, but he does still love him, and he very much regrets the end of the Institute.

okie dokie time to figure out this dynamic on the fly. giants fans, forgive me if i butcher this entirely.

so i googled it, and madbum is a big fucken boy holy christ, so i’m making an executive decision & saying he’s 100% a little spoon. the bigger the boy, the more they want to be cuddled, that’s just a scientific fact.

however, he’s also like,, really bad at asking for what he wants, so he’ll just keep scooting closer to buster & pushing up against him & being generally annoying until buster finally goes “what the fuck are you doing?” but then he’ll see that look in his eyes & he realizes what he wants & just hauls bum’s big ass up against him like it’s nothing

since i’m talking abt cuddling, they’re both incredibly snuggly sleepers, they’re always all up in each other’s space. bum wraps himself around buster’s middle & gets his legs all tangled up with his & nuzzles up into buster’s neck/shoulders. & buster tries to pretend like this annoys him, bitch that it’s too hot to be doing all this & try half-heartedly to push bum off, but really he loves it, & he’ll fall asleep with his face pressed into bum’s hair & with an arm around him tight, holding onto him & rubbing at his bicep

bum wakes up first 99% of the time, but he almost always just stays in bed & keeps holding on to buster, even after all these years.

tbh they vibe like a married couple that’s been together for years to me, just bc they’ve known each other for so long?? so i’ve got a lot of domestic thoughts running through my mind?? such as…

neither of them can cook. like seriously they’re both bad and this isn’t one of those things where ~they’re cute & learn how to do it together!!~ no, like straight up buster about burnt the house down in a lasagna attempt & bum is incapable of simple shit like grilled cheese. they can’t microwave popcorn. it’s a miracle they dont starve in the offseason.

by some act of god, bum can do breakfast though. it is their only combined culinary skill. they do pancakes & eggs for dinner a lot, which works out great for bum, bc it keeps buster a lil soft around the middle like he likes :-)

they’re both like,, appallingly bad at talking abt their feelings. like, even when they both knew they liked each other, it took them forever to finally get together bc neither one of them had the balls to make the first move 

bum was the one who finally did it btw. he just sort of blurted out that he was in love w/ buster one night when he was over. in response, buster kissed him, called him a dumbass & then, after a few minutes of them sitting in stunned silence, told bum that he loved him too.

but yeah back to my original point, it’s rare that they get all soft & sappy with each other, especially buster. every now and then, when they’re all wrapped up in each other in the middle of the night, bum will go off on a little tangent abt how buster’s the perfect boyfriend & how he’d do anything for him, and buster usually shrugs him off tells him to shut up & go to sleep, even though he’s blushing & smiling. but it’s literally only like 2 or 3 times a year when buster gets all soft & quiet & tells bum how much he loves him & how lucky he got & he’s the best thing that ever happened to him & all that good shit

buster cuts bum’s hair. this is my whole ass favorite trope okay let me have this, it’s just so fucking soft, bum leaning back into buster’s hands & letting him move his head around real gentle & looking up at him & locking eyes every now & then & they just kind of smile at each other bc there’s no real good reason for them to be doing this anymore, they’ve got enough money to pay for a fucking haircut, but they’ve been doing this for as long as they’ve known each other & neither one of them wants to stop now, not when it reminds them of being stupid ass kids together who didn’t have any money & were too scared to make a move on each other & FUCK im weak for this trope yall.

aaaand i dont really know enough about either of them to confidently do much nsfw stuff, but i can say for a fact that everything about madbum absolutely screams service top to me, and yall cannot convince me otherwise. that big goofy lookin sweetie just wants to make buster feel good, god dammit.
