Helper:Christmas
Arsenal Women x Child!Reader
Summary: Christmas with Guppy
"I...I don't understand. What's...What's going on?"
"Just keeping holding it up," Codi whispers to Rosa, who looks like she's about to lower the tinsel that she's holding up.
"I don't get it. What's going on?"
"We're decorating the tree."
"No, I get that. But why are we holding it up in a line?"
On her other side, Leah huffs. "Because Lia's raising a kid who doesn't like mess and gets freaked out by Christmas trees. Ow! Lia!"
Lia's elbow, none too kindly, digs a bit further into Leah's ribs.
"Don't make fun of her!" She snaps, imaginary hackles raised in annoyance at Leah's dismissal before turning to Rosa to explain, much more kindly. "Guppy...She gets a bit overwhelmed about this kind of stuff and these cretins like to go overboard until the tree's a big mess. So, Guppy gets to pick the theme and then we all decorate. Leah's exaggerating."
"I'm just saying! Maybe exposure therapy will be good for her! I love her, Lia, I do. You know that. But you have to admit, this-"
Lia whips her beads at Leah in annoyance.
"Alrigh! Alright! I get it! Sorry!"
Lia's not finished though as she points to practically everyone in line in turn. "None of you are allowed to talk about that kind of stuff while y/n's in the room too, do you understand? She's sensitive and I'm not letting any of you make it worse!"
"I think they get it," Mario intervenes quickly," No one wants to make her feel bad."
Rosa's kind of glad that Mariona did. She's never seen Lia angry before. Annoyed, yes. Overtired, yes. But never angry. Not truly anyway but she's heard how protective Lia gets over you.
You're not really an oddball. You're not overwhelmingly weird either. But something that Rosa's noted is that you're very particular. She's never met a child so particular in her life. You like things done in a certain way.
You get all fidgety and anxious if you're not allowed to do things in the way you want and tend to start things over if it hasn't gone perfectly. You flick the lights on and off twice in whatever room you leave and you always knock on doors twice.
Rosa's seen you on the team bus, getting Lia to buckle and unbuckle your seatbelt twice over just before the bus sets off to whatever away match they need to get to.
You're just...
Different.
It's clear that Lia knows that too and a lot of her energy is put into making sure no one makes you think that you don't fit in.
"Alright!" Kim comes in holding your hand and from what Rosa strains to hear from Mario and Lia's conversation, this is normal too.
Kim helps you pick out the theme.
You both whisper together, Kim clearly going along with your childish wonder and happiness. She crouches down at your side as you look between Rosa and Kyra's tinsel.
Rosa's holding a red one and Kyra's holding a gold one.
Kyra wiggles it enticingly in your face but your features all scrunch up at once as you move away from Kim to take Rosa's hand and then to choose Codi and her matching green tinsel as well.
"Alright," Kim says," And what about baubles?"
"Er..." You look at the rest of the team and all the baubles they hold up to you, suddenly overwhelmed with choices.
You look at Leah's glittery baubles and shake your head.
"Not-Not glitter ones."
Then you catch sight of Lia and Mario, immediately breaking away from Kim to go crashing into them.
"Mummy!" You gasp," You bought the special beads from home!"
Wound around what looks to be an old piece of cardboard, is a long string of silver beads.
"I did," Lia says," Because our tree is too little for them this year. I thought we could use them on the Arsenal tree."
You nod, head bobbing up and down happily before you also take Mario's hand, dragging her into your little group of chosen people without even looking at the bauble in her hands.
"Nah!" Leah complains," This is so unfair! Why can't I be chosen?"
"Because you clearly didn't choose a good bauble this year," Beth teases," Not like me."
"Not Beth's bauble either," You say to Kim.
"Wait...What? Come on, come back!"
Decorating the tree is a team effort because while you may have been the one to make your selection, you're much too small to decorate it all by yourself and Rosa's found herself with you on her shoulders as you strain to put a candy cane onto the tree.
"Careful," Lia warns her," Keep straight or she'll fall."
"Rosa's doing fine," Steph says," And it's not like Guppy is going to start throwing herself around. She's very responsible."
"I am, Mummy!" You say," Very responsible! I helped Mrs Gina find the missing gluestick lid yesterday!"
So, Lia ends up worrying from a distance and insists on being the one to lift you up so you can put the star on the tree before letting you down and leading you from the room without any more preamble.
"What's happening now?" Rosa whispers as it looks like everyone starts sitting down on the floor in a little circle that she has no option but to join.
"Lia's been doing this since Guppy was born," Caitlin explains," We're getting presents now. It was pretty cute the first time, little gifts in baby y/n's hands. It was her handprint the year she was born and then it was like little keychains? She's old enough to give them out by herself now."
The present Rosa gets is kind of soft and squishy and it doesn't rattle or anything when she holds it up to her ear and shakes.
"No opening until Christmas!" You say once everything's been given out and everyone's attention is on you," Because that ruins the surprise! You can only open them on Christmas!"
The little Arsenal teddy bear you got her sits on Rosa's desk for the rest of the season.

Dexter Morgan x reader
based on this ask!
Warnings: mentions of death, blood, violence, domestic violence, all the usual Dexter stuff, very much angst Summary: Following Rita’s death, Dexter and reader become close as they deal with the aftermath.

It was a quiet evening. You were sitting on your balcony watching the full, glowing moon. You were deep in thought when your phone began to ring, pulling you back to reality. The caller ID said Dexter Morgan, you thought this was strange as he and Rita were supposed to have left on their honeymoon. Maybe they decided not to bring Harrison along after all. But when you answered, it was a woman's voice.
"Hello? This is Debra Morgan with Miami Metro Homicide, is this y/n?"
"Yes?" You replied with a slight quiver in your voice, confused. Homicide? What is happening? "There's been an incident, Dexter thought you should know. However, he's preoccupied at the moment. Rita..."
Her voice begins to shake, you can sense that she's about to cry
"Um, Rita's been murdered, I understand you two were close."
It was like the entire world stopped. Murdered? Rita was the loveliest, sweetest, most pure-of-heart person you knew. Who would possibly have wanted to hurt her?
The phone slipped out of your hand. Thankfully you were already sitting down, or you may have fell off your balcony. You can hear the woman repeating "hello, are you there?" over the phone. But everything was static. Nothing made sense. As it all began to settle into place, what really happened. You let out a loud sob. Shaking violently, tears streaming down your face. You bang your fist on the ground, screaming. Angry at the world, or whatever higher power that existed. As you sat there and sobbed, you began to think about Harrison, Dexter, Astor, Cody, everyone else who knew and loved Rita. God! Poor Harrison. He hardly got to know his mother.
You think of all the times you saved Rita from Paul. All the late nights scared it would be the last time. Scared, because you didn't know when it would be the last punch, kick, slap. There were honestly times you thought he would kill her. You thought you had prepared yourself for this, but how could you, how could anyone. When he died, you were there to support Rita of course, but deep down you were glad. You saw first-hand how he treated her, how it affected the kids.
Rita was like a sister to you. You considered yourself like an aunt to those kids. A piece of you died today, something you don't know if you'll ever get back.
--
You were awoken by the sound of loud honking. You open your eyes to see the bright morning sun over Miami. It made you angry, how could the world go on when yours came crashing down less than 24 hours ago. You look around, you must've cried yourself into exhaustion and passed out on your balcony.
You go back inside. Your cat comes up to nudge your leg. You look down at him and he just stares at you and meows. You wish you could be like him, blissfully unaware of all the evil in the world.
You go to make a pot of coffee, but you just collapse on the floor of your kitchen. How can you go on? Rita is dead. Harrison, Astor, and Cody just lost their mother. Dexter lost his wife. And yet the world keeps spinning. Your phone buzzes in your pocket, it's your boss. You look at the time, you were supposed to be at work an hour ago.
"Fuck" you sigh, leaning your head back against your kitchen counter
You answer, telling him you won't be coming in today, death in the family. He can be a dick at times, but he's understanding when it comes to this.
You scan your apartment. Eyes settling on the picture on your bedside table. You walk over to it, picking it up. It's a photo of you, Dexter, Rita, and the kids at Rita's birthday party. You place it face down; you can't bear to look at it right now.
Dexter lingers in your mind. God! How could you be so selfish? He must be in shambles right now. Grieving the death of his wife and having to be responsible for little Harrison. Maybe you should go check on him, see Harrison. Might take your mind off of things. Or make things worse. You don't know. Either way you need to do something.
You throw on a sweater and your shoes. You know the house is likely still a crime scene so you can't go there. Dex and Harrison are probably with his sister, who conveniently lives at his old apartment, so finding the place won't be too difficult. You drive like a bat out of hell, trying to get there as fast as you can.
You arrive and knock on the door, no one answers. You knock again, still no answer. You figure nobody is home, so you turn to leave. As you start walking away, you hear the handle turn, and the door unlatch. You turn around, seeing Dexter peering out from the crack in the door. You greet him with a warm smile as he opens the door fully. You immediately lean in for a hug, which he doesn't move away from but doesn't exactly reciprocate. He just stands there with his arms at his side, stiff. He does lean his chin on your shoulder though. He sighs in relief, shoulders loosening.
"Deb called me last night, told me what happened. I know it's probably a stupid question, but how are you?" You look in his eyes, sincerity and empathy written all over your face.
He knows this is hard on you too.
"I'm doing okay, I have to, for him." He turns to look at Harrison, sleeping soundly in his crib.
You two go to sit on the couch, you place a hand on his shoulder, trying to be comforting.
"I found him sitting in a pool of her blood" He turns to look at you, face empty, exhausted.
Your hands fly to your mouth as you gasp
"Dexter, my god. I'm so sorry" Tears begin to well up in your eyes
"If it's too much you don't have to answer, but how did it happen exactly? Deb told me she was murdered, but not what happened."
"You've seen the trinity killer on the news, right?" He turns to look at you
"A single cut to her thigh, slicing the femoral artery. She bled out." His voice is steady, concise.
Anyone who didn't know Dexter would think he's unbothered, but you know this is just him. He's devastated on the inside.
"I, I uh... that's horrible, I'm sorry you had to see that." Your voice is soft, comforting.
"If it's any help, I wouldn't mind watching over Harrison for a few days, while you get the funeral things figured out. And Astor and Cody, if needed."
"They're with their grandparents, they don't know yet. They're coming back today. Thank you, that would actually be a big help." He gives you a slight smile, you can tell it's forced but you appreciate the effort.
--
The days go by, each one as painful as the previous. Everyone tells you to take it one day at a time, but nothing is changing. Nothing is getting better. Her funeral was devastating, you cried the entire time. You tried to stay strong, for the kids, but seeing her lying there, you couldn't. She looked beautiful, like she was sleeping. Astor and Cody went to stay with their grandparents in Orlando, which you know is hard on Dexter. He really loves them. You switched your hours around so you could work nights and watch Harrison during the day while Dex is at work. Harrison has been the only highlight of your life recently, one of the only things you have left of Rita. He's truly an amazing child, and thankfully he doesn't seem to be affected by what happened. You know Dexter was really concerned about that.
You've tried to be there for Dexter as well, but he hasn't been as accepting. You understand though. However, it's what Rita would want you to do. She always trusted you to take care of her family. You considered Rita to be like a sister, and it's what you would do for family.
You take Harrison back home that afternoon. Dexter has the biggest smile on his face as he takes Harrison into his arms, he's a great father and loves Harrison so much.
"How was he?" He questions
"Wonderful as always, he's such a little angel" You smile
"But the real question is, how are you, Dexter?"
"You don't have to worry about me, I'm fine" There's a hint of irritation in his voice
"Dexter, but I do worry about you. You've just suffered a great tragedy. I just want to be sure you're okay"
"I just told you I am okay, why do you care so much anyways?" He shakes his head and places Harrison in his crib
"It's what Rita would've wanted!" You exclaim
He turns around to look at you, you can see that he's distraught. Being a single parent is never easy, especially one that's grieving.
He sighs
"Yeah, I guess you're right. I really am okay, I promise" He gives you another one of his classic fake smiles, you know he doesn't want to talk about it anymore, so you don't press
"Alright, if you insist"
--
It's been almost a year since Rita's death now. You still miss her like crazy, but things have gotten easier. Harrison is walking and talking which has been very emotional, you wish Rita was here to see it. He's become a part of your regular routine now. Dexter offered to pay you to be his nanny, but you declined, quite aggressively. Dexter kept insisting but you would not accept under any circumstances. Spending all this time with Harrison has also meant spending quite a lot of time with Dexter as well. You've grown to really care for him.
One morning, you were over at Dexter's feeding Harrison breakfast. Dexter was getting ready for work. He came out of the bedroom, shirt unbuttoned. You couldn't help but stare, which made you feel guilty. You admired his hands as he swiftly fastened the buttons, his arms as he rolled up his sleeves, his sculpted chest peeking through the top of his shirt. You felt wrong. He comes over to give Harrison a kiss on the head. As he walks by, his shoulder brushes yours. You blush, in embarrassment and due to your true feelings. As you airplane another spoon of yogurt into Harrison's mouth, out comes something that shocks you to your core.
"Mama" Harrison babbles
You and Dexter immediately make eye contact. Your eyes are blown open wide, mouth agape.
"I'm so sorry, I have no idea why he would say that" You panic
"It's alright, he doesn't know any different" Dexter reassures you
You and Dexter just stand there, looking at each other. He smiles, a genuine smile this time. Something you've missed seeing.
He wraps his arm around your waist, pulling you close. He brings his hand to your cheek and leans in, placing a tender kiss on your lips. You immediately melt. You felt so guilty for feeling the way you did, falling for a man who was grieving his dead wife. You bring your hands up to hold his face. Deepening the kiss. When you pull away, you can't help but smile a big goofy grin. Dexter is smiling too, which makes your heart flutter.
You stand there in comfortable silence, before Dexter announces he has to go, and that he wants you to be here when he gets home. He kisses your cheek and leaves. Your heart feels so full. However, you still feel guilty, like you're betraying Rita, but you also feel like this is what she would want. You know her family well, and you love them like they're your own.
You lay Harrison down for a nap, kissing him on the forehead. You grab a cup of coffee and go outside. It's a chilly spring morning. As you're looking out over Miami, a white butterfly lands on your finger. A tear rolls down your, cheek. You've never been much of a spiritual person, but you know it's her, and suddenly everything starts to feel like it's going to be okay.
...
Literally almost cried while writing this, I love Rita so much. I hope I did your vision justice! Sorry it's so long lol

Drink Caf and Know Things (or not)
Rex sat in the tiny caf shop, nursing a caf long gone cold. His head was too full for the rowdiness of 79's, and alcohol wouldn't mix well with his emotions anyway, even if Skywalker had given them all vouchers. Fives was dead, and they only had this last night to mourn him before they shipped out again in the morning.
The bell above the door jingled and Rex looked up. A familiar face slouched in, nodded at him, and headed for the register. His hands tightened around his mug. Naturally Fox would find him here. The bastard had eyes everywhere.
At least Fox was in his civvies; a ratty, oversized hoodie advertising Mercy's Garage, a pair of equally ratty jeans, and boots he'd probably confiscated from a natborn officer.
Steaming caf in hand, Fox made his way over to Rex's table and sat.
"Captain," he said, sipping his drink and sighing in appreciation.
"Commander," Rex replied, wary.
"Thanks for submitting that report," Fox said. "I know it isn't easy when it's one of your own that turns."
"Yeah." Rex grimaced, then grimaced again as he took a sip of his own stone-cold caf. "First Cody's man, Slick, and now this." He took another sip.
"I'll forward you my own report once I've got everything analyzed."
And that was Fox to a T: meticulous attention to detail, bordering on obsessive, at times. It had only gotten worse on Coruscant, where bureaucracy was the lifeblood of the upper echelons of power.
"Appreciate it." Rex abandoned his mug and rubbed his temples. "I just wish I could understand why. He was a good soldier until this. A little annoying at times, but who isn't?"
Fox snorted. "That way lies madness, Cap. Everyone has a cracking point, and with the way this war is dragging on..." He shrugged.
Anger washed through him, along with the pulsing mantra of Why Fives? that had been a constant in his head since this shitshow had begun.
"And that thing about us having chips in our head." He let out a huff of frustration, and glanced up to see Fox watching him with sharp-eyed attention that immediately disappeared under a veneer of indifference.
"Anything to that?" Fox took another swig of coffee.
Rex frowned at him, not allowing himself to be distracted by the faint whiff of vanilla coming from Fox's mug.
"No," he said, watching the Commander closely. "I had Kix look through all his records. Plenty of scans showing plenty of brain trauma, a couple cases of parasites I don't want to think about, and one trooper who got a piece of shrapnel embedded in his skull, but nothing that looked like a chip."
There was a brief flash of disappointment, there and gone so fast Rex wondered if he imagined it. Fox nodded.
"Right. Well, if you hear any more, my inbox is always open." He stood, gulping down the rest of his vanilla latte and setting the mug on the table. "I'll let you get back to your brooding."
Rex scowled up at him. "I'm not brooding!"
He wasn't. There was a difference between brooding and thinking deeply on something important.
"Whatever you say, Captain Broody."
Rex threw a sugar packet at him as he headed for the door, but the bastard actually caught it.
"Oh, and Rex?" Fox turned back to look at him, all hint of amusement gone. "I am sorry. It's never easy having to put down one of our own."
Rex shrugged, the grief heavy in his chest. "He tried to kill the Chancellor. You had your orders."
"Yeah, I did." The bell jingled as Fox opened the door. "Doesn't mean it was right."
He was gone before Rex could think of a response.
Taking both mugs back to the counter, Rex puzzled over Fox's behavior. Was the Commander acting weird or was he just imagining things? Like Fives had been imagining things. Ugh.
He got a fresh caf, a vanilla latte this time, and headed back to his table to broo- to think. Was this the end of it, or just the beginning?

DISTRACTION PART 2 (WWE CODY RHODES)
•Summary: He’s allowed you in his head, allowed you to play mind games, allowed you to make him vulnerable, causing his match against your cousin at WrestleMania 39. Months later and he finally earns another match, just for you to start the distraction all over again, dwelling on the pass
• Parings: Cody Rhodes X Samoan fem reader
Warnings - mentions of sex, praise kink, choking kink, moaning kink, fingering, grinding of some sorts (over the clothes), Dirty Talk, 18+ only (Minors DNI), (READ AT YOUR OWN RISK)
Word count: 5k
The day before the WrestleMania kickoff show was declared a pre-kickoff for everyone in WWE as Paul Levesque and Stephanie McMahon hosted their first annual pre-kickoff dinner party to celebrate the road to WrestleMania. You sat in your hotel room, applying the pieces of jewelry that you placed out to put on.
Roman asked you to accompany him to this dinner party. Though you were surprised, he even asked you. After last week with your interaction with Cody, Roman made it clear how pissed he was with you.
Cody, that man has not left your mind. You haven't seen him since, other than watching him on TV when he appeared on Monday's show.
You would be crazy if some of you thought about seeing him, but you did. You had no idea why, however.
There wasn't any point in being near the man; he wasn't completing this WrestleMania with Roman anymore. You won't have to worry about being a distraction.
But you couldn't help but think about the past. You wished you could forget what happened between the two of you.
But the way he touched you, the way you moaned for him, the way he made you feel, how could you not forget that!?
You've had sex before, but never in the way you did with Cody. You held in for so long just to focus on your plan, give in, and throw yourself at him the minute he became vulnerable. You, too, were vulnerable.
And you couldn't help but bite your lip as you thought about that night. The way he talked to you, it made you realize how much of a praise kink you have, how much you get turned on by how dirty he can speak to you, all while fucking you.
"We're on a tight schedule. Are you almost ready?" Roman asked as he exited your hotel bathroom, adjusting his tie.
You cleared your throat, looking down as you hid the flustered from your face. "Yeah, I'm ready."
You took tiny breaths before sitting up, turning to Roman as he grabbed his keys before looking at you. "How do I look?" Roman asked, adjusting his top suit. You nodded in approval. "Like you just got inducted into the hall of fame."
Roman smirks, nodding at your comment. He then got serious. "Listen, a lot of our family will be there, some we haven't spoken to in a while, that we haven't been on good terms with."
You knew who Roman was talking about, Jey. The last time you saw Jey in person was when he and Cody were undisputed tag champs. You didn't even see him at the Royal Rumble. But you miss Jey. He was someone who allowed you to express your feelings whenever you were upset. And despite how malicious Jimmy acted towards him, they were twins; they missed each other.
"Just say Jey's name, Roman; you're talking about him."
Roman sighed. "Look, I can't stop you from talking to him; that's your brother, " he said. But promise me he's not going to get into your head."
You scoffed. "How would Jey get in my head?" You asked him. Roman was quiet for a moment.
Roman knew that Jey was the number one person who stood with you when you left Bloodline. Jey thinks you deserve better than doing what Roman tells you to do. The last thing he needs is someone convincing you to do such a thing. Because despite the plans he makes, you plot, despite him telling you what to do, you're his family. He's been betrayed by his family before. He doesn't want to happen, let alone from you.
"Just remember what I said," he said. It was now your turn to remain quiet as he turned to your side, pulling his arm out for you to wrap around. You took it in silence as you walked out of your room.
-
The dinner party was elegant. Silent music played in the background as chatters filled the room. The moment you and Roman walked into the room, you were greeted by many people—a hall of framers and workers who worked alongside Paul in the headquarters. Whenever Roman enters a room, heads turn, and people from every corner greet people. All you can do is say hi and smile as people approach him.
However, you notice his smile, which he had as people greeted him, disappear as he stared into the distance. You looked in the direction he was staring at, and all two of you saw two figures, one you hoped you wouldn't see, although you knew you would.
Jey. He stood from afar with a drink in his hand, laughing at whatever joke he had told himself. His eyes drifted into your and Roman's direction, matching the same faded-off smile as Roman's. Although he was looking at you and you only. All Jey wanted, although his big brother, was his little sister. You looked beautiful, he thought. All he wanted was to talk to you, ask how things were, and tell you he's still your brother.
Then they were Cody, who you sucked the air out of the minute his eyes laid on you. You looked absolutely stunning, he thought. Your dress fits perfectly on your body. It made him frustrated with how beautiful you look. A part of him wanted to come up to you and tell you how beautiful you looked. The other part wanted to take you to one of the bathrooms and undress you out of that incredibly sexy dress.
Roman eyes narrowed at the two men. He feared Jey's words, but he also feared Cody's actions. He had no clue what was going on between you and Cody; after seeing how close he was to you a couple of days ago, it absolutely made Roman boil. Yes, Roman's is your cousin. But the two of you were more siblings than cousins. And seeing a man that he truly despises be incredibly close to you was something he never wanted to happen again. And he knew a part of it was his fault.
Roman was the one who told you to distract Cody and do whatever it takes. Now he questions what exactly happened to you. It was like he accidentally set you up as bait.
You let out a shaky sigh as you looked at Roman. "I'm going to go grab me a drink, " you said as you walked off, not allowing Roman to speak.
You knew that tonight was going to be a long night. And you knew that avoiding Cody as much as possible would probably help. But it is impossible, especially when you are in the same room.
You finally grabbed a drink, sipped it, and breathed to calm down. You looked back to see Roman conversing with Dwayne and other people you did not know their names.
From a distance, Jey was debating whether he should approach you. He wasn't sure if you would want to talk to him. But he gained the strength anyway, looking over at Cody, who watched you. "Aye uce, let me go to my sis real quick."
Cody looked at him. A hint of surprise formed in his face, but he nodded anyway. He wasn't sure how your conversation with Jey would turn out.
Jey hesitated for a moment, then walked towards you. Your back was turned as you were unaware of Jey's presence getting closer. That wasn't until you heard his voice.
"Y/N."
You turned around, seeing your brother in front of you. You glanced over at Roman, who hadn't seen you two. You then looked back at him.
You wanted nothing more than to hug your Jey and tell him how much you missed him, but you kept your distance, giving him a small smile. "Hi."
Jey smiled back. "How have you been, little sis?" he asked. He was glad you were talking to him.
"I've been better, big bro." You replied as your smile grew. "I miss you."
Hearing you say that made Jey happy. He would be lying if a small part of him thought you hated him for leaving the bloodline. If only he knew that was far from the truth. Deep down, you admire him for doing that.
"I miss you too." He said. Your eyes showed a hint of happiness hearing that from him. Your eyes then drifted to the tie that lay on his chest, causing you to suck your teeth as you placed your drink down. "I see things haven't changed." You say fixing his tie correctly. Jey couldn't help but laugh. "I've been trying to fix it; you know I hate ties."
"Well, you could have worn a bow." You tell him. Jey shakes his head. "I look ridiculous in those."
"No, you do not, Jey," you said, remaining silent momentarily. "Okay, maybe a little."
"Wow!" Jey was taken aback as he looked down at you. You couldn't help but laugh at his reaction, which caused him to laugh back.
However, your eyes wander towards Roman, whose eyes are now on you two, causing you to stop laughing. Jey realizes this, looking over at Roman before looking at you. "He's controlling you, Y/N."
"Jey-"
"Y/N, he uses you. The only reason he still has you around is because you've helped keep that championship belt he got." Jey tells her. You shook your head. "That's not true." You tell him and yourself.
Jey frowns as you deny his words. You now knew what Roman meant by Jey getting in your head. Deep down, you question whether Jey was right.
However, you still deny it. "Look, I've been there for Roman through everything. He's family. And Families don't betray each other."
Jey scrunch his eyebrows together as you said that. "What's that supposed to mean?" You looked at him as you realized what you had said, seeing the effect that it had on him. "Jey- it's not like that,"
"Nah, I get it," Jey spoke, shaking his head. "I betrayed Roman. I turned my back on my own family; I decided to be selfish. It's not like Roman selfishly treated all of us like crap whenever our job isn't done."
"Jey-"
"He would have done the same if he knew about you and Cody,"
You immediately froze as you looked at your brother. Jey still had no clue what had happened between the two of you, but he knew something had happened; otherwise, Cody's reactions to what he had seen wouldn't have been how they had been.
"I don't know what you're talking about," You choked out as you looked away from Jey.
"Yes, I do," Jey said. "I don't know what it is, nor is it none of my business, but Roman is gonna find out what it is, and he's gonna be furious."
"There's nothing going on between Cody and me, okay?" You snapped at your brother out of frustration. "For once, can't you understand that Roman isn't doing any using and isn't controlling me!?"
Jey noticed your body language and tone of voice; it was your reaction to him mentioning Cody. And as much as you really wanted to talk to your brother right now, you tried to get away and calm down.
"Aye, sis? " a voice said, bringing your and Jey's attention to Jimmy, the eldest sibling.
Yours and Jimmy's relationship was different from yours and Jey's. You and Jimmy were close despite what happened with your other brothers. But you couldn't talk to him about how you were feeling occasionally. You couldn't even do that with Jey because of how distant you had gotten.
You didn't want to mean it, but you couldn't help but think that Jimmy had his head up Roman's ass so far that everything you did felt, and you did want to tell Jimmy, but you couldn't because of Roman.
"Everything's good?" Jimmy asked you as his eyes heavily narrowed at Jey. Jey and Jimmy made eye contact as Jimmy got closer to the two of you. More Jey than you.
You took a step back. "I'm fine," you said, feeling overwhelmed by what was happening. I'm going to go use the bathroom."
You didn't even give Jey a chance to react before you were off into the bathroom. He looked over in your direction, watching you walk as he sighed. All he wanted was a civil conversation with his sister.
And that couldn't happen.
-
The index finger of Cody's hand gently slipped across the rim of his glass cup as he stared down at his drink. He sat down by the bar by himself, examining his surroundings and the party that was currently going on.
A few people have approached him, making small talk, but most of the time, he was thinking.
He was thinking about a lot of things. His head was clouded. From his decision about WrestleMania to seeing you walking in, Cody knew that his time was limited from exploding.
He noticed the glances from Roman the moment he walked in. Though, Roman kept his distance. Cody wasn't stupid; he knew Roman was more cautious towards him after seeing how incredibly close he was with you. And as much as he needed to stay away from you, a part of him didn't mind pissing Roman off.
But it's you. It wasn't any random woman. He needed to stay far away from you for his sanity. You were all he could think about. It was affecting him badly.
Cody glances at you and Jey as you are in his head again. Fuck, you looked breathtaking in that dress. He knew you knew you looked good, but my god, Cody felt himself wanting to undress you with his own eyes.
He couldn't help but notice your expression—you looked overwhelmed. Your brothers were now standing in front of each other.
Cody knew everything that went down between Jimmy and Jey. The whole world knew what happened between the two. But Cody was the one who took Jey when Jey needed someone the most. And he knew you and Jey's relationship was a bit rocky, which allowed Cody to know precisely what you were feeling.
His eyes followed you as you walked into the bathroom, leaving the two brothers to themselves. His eyes stared at that door. He had a crazy debate about going into it, though it was a girl's bathroom, and he knew how stupid that would be for himself.
"Hey, Cody." Cody turned his head as he saw a figure standing in front of him, causing him to be taken aback a bit.
Dwayne was the last person Cody expected to approach him. His smile indicated that he meant no harm, allowing Cody to smile back.
"Hey, Dwayne," Cody said as Dwayne sat beside him. Dwayne grabbed the bartender's attention as he ordered a drink. Once receiving it, he looked back at Cody. "How you doing."
"Well," Cody said, forcing a small smile. "Just taking one step at a time." He said.
"Well, that's something," Dwayne said, chuckling a bit as he took a sip. Cody let one out, too, and he drank from his cup.
The conversation had already been 20 seconds, and it was already awkward. It wasn't like Cody hated Dwayne. Despite being related to someone he despised, Dwayne was one of his few role models.
But family is family. Deep down, Cody knew that Dwayne would rather defend his cousin than someone who looked up to him. That's how their whole family works.
"Listen, I just want to talk to you about WrestleMania," Dwayne started the conversation. Cody held his hand up. There's nothing really to talk about; I made my decision."
Dwayne nodded. However, the two of them knew that this was not true. Cody didn't want to talk about it, especially to the man who was facing Roman instead of him. "I just want to know if we're good," Dwayne said. "You hear the fans all over social media saying they want you, and I don't want anyone coming in the way and confusing your decision."
Cody took in what Dwayne said. Yes, in less than 24 hours, Cody has been trending all over social media. #wewantcody even took him by surprise. His entire career, he's been in the mid-card. He's never gotten this much notice.
But Dwayne's mention made Cody think a certain way. If Dwayne had only said so, his decision would have stayed the same.
"I made the decision; I can't go back on my word, can I?" Cody said, looking at Dwayne. Dwayne stared at Cody back before nodding, forming a smile on his face. "It wouldn't make sense if you did," Dwayne said. He then got up from his seat. "I'm glad you and I are on the same page."
Cody nodded, taking a sip from his drink. "Yeah, me too."
Dwayne patted Cody on the shoulder as it looked like he was going to walk off and finally end this dreadful conversation. But suddenly, Dwayne stopped and turned back to him. "Oh, there's something else,"
Dwayne took a step closer to Cody as he leaned in to whisper in his ears. "I need you to stay away from Y/N. Or there will be consequences."
Something in Cody infuriated him as he looked at Dwayne. Dwayne patted his back once again before walking off.
Dwayne walking up to Cody and him mentioning WrestleMania didn't get under his skin. But you?
Cody rubbed his temple as you were now back in your head. Roman was the person who sent you to him. And now he's being told to stay away from you.
He couldn't help but laugh. He knew a thousand times that he should stay away from you. But now, just to piss Roman and Dwayne off, and because he knew eventually that he was going to fail at staying away, it made him not want to at the moment.
Cody's eyes scanned the party, then drifted back towards the bathroom door. You haven't left the bathroom since talking to Jey. And Cody fought with his intrusive thoughts, telling him to stay where he was, but wanting to go into that bathroom so badly.
Suddenly, he stood up from his seat, adjusting his suit as his eyes wandered, ensuring no one was looking in his direction. He cautiously made his way toward the bathroom door, making sure no one was watching. Once making it to the door, his eyes looked around one more time before stepping in.
-
You walked into an empty bathroom stall, straight towards the mirror, and started steadying your breathing. Your conversation with Jey went the way you didn't want it to.
You looked at yourself in the mirror as you replayed your conversation with Jey. From Roman to Cody, all you wanted was a peaceful talk with your brother without the outside drama getting in between, but that couldn't happen.
You stayed in the bathroom for a good minute, standing as you continued to take breaths, not trying to get everything under your skin.
All you wanted to do was leave the party, go back to your hotel, and sleep away the problems in your life. However, you couldn't do that, and reality kicked in when you jumped from getting scared of the door opening.
Unfortunately, your face immediately dropped as you looked at the person who had walked in. Cody.
He stared at you, watching your expression. Followed by a click, indicating that he had locked the bathroom door, you involuntarily gulped, followed by silence. His stares imitated you for some reason. You two were known for having intense eye contact, especially when you were around him to distract him. But for some reason, he made you feel small. You can feel him undressing you with his eyes. If only you knew that was exactly what he wanted to do to you that night.
"What are you doing here?" you asked, your voice soft, almost whispered. Cody watched how you reacted to him. This wasn't the first time he'd seen you like this. But it felt different because there wasn't any distraction, no mind games, and just you two.
Cody walked up to you. You're back leaning against the bathroom table as you look up at him. You were trying to read his facial expression, but it was more of curiosity that you could see. "Are you okay?" He asked, not answering your original question.
However, you nodded, watching Cody, then looked down at your lip. You were unaware that you were biting your lip. He had his hands in his pocket right now, but at the moment, he felt himself clenching his hands hard, desperately stopping himself from bending you over and fucking you so severely.
"You shouldn't be in here, Cody," you tell him. Once again, Cody ignored what you said and asked a question about your statement. "You ever thought about that night, Y/N?"
Your heart dropped hearing what he had said. The night the two of you had sex for the first and only time. You thought about that night a little from time to time. The thought of you touching yourself to Cody crossed your mind, causing you to turn away and have your back facing him.
Cody caught a glimpse of your facial expression before you turned. At that moment, you were probably thinking about that night, something dirty. Cody's head was screaming at him to run to that bathroom stall, forget what came out of his mouth, and never speak about it again.
However, it suddenly got hot in the bathroom as you felt him very close to you, breathing down your neck. His hands secretly hesitated before pulling themselves out of his pocket and onto your waist.
"I thought about that night too many times; it's starting to torture me," Cody whispered in your ear. Your hand grabbed onto the table, clenching on it so hard. It took everything in your power not to lean your head back.
"The thought of touching you, making you moan, you'll be such a good girl."
Cody knew that you had a praise kink; it was something that he found incredibly attractive about. He had a kink to females who had a praise kink.
And because of that, he noticed your head shifted a bit, your eyes fluttered closed, and your lips parted open. Fuck those lips. God blessed you with beautiful lips. If it wasn't your skin or your moans that turned Cody on, it was your lips.
"We can't speak about this, Cody," you spoke. Cody felt himself sighing as he laid his head on your shoulders. Not because you were right, but because he was getting hard knowing they shouldn't be doing this.
And you felt it. It poked, causing you to think nothing but yourself throbbing for him. "Fuck," you let out as you couldn't help yourself from grinding against his clothed hard-on.
Why, all of a sudden, the two of you were folding so quickly? You wondered why Cody made you so needy so quickly.
But it didn't matter because he was the same way as he gripped your waist, pulling you closer to him. He watched you through the mirror that you had forgotten was the. Those pretty faces you were making as you bit your lip, stopping yourself from moaning. God, you looked so beautiful.
Cody couldn't help but grunt, seeing how you were reacting to grinding on him. His pants were highly uncomfortable, and he wanted more to fuck you in this bathroom. But he knew he couldn't. And he wasn't, not tonight in this bathroom, at least.
He turned around, however. Your eyes shot open as you stepped so close to the man, his chest almost touching. You now notice him staring down your lips. "Let me taste them, just this once?" he spoke. You remained quiet as his large hands were placed on your chest. They slowly crept up to your neck as he wrapped them around you.
You let out a small moan, causing his grip to be tighter. "Do not moan. Otherwise, I'm going to cum on myself."
Fuck. Why did he say that? It immediately made you do the opposite as another moan slipped out unintentionally. You didn't care that the man had just walked into the women's bathroom; you wanted him badly.
And hearing you moan once again caused Cody's hard-on to joint, tightening his grip. But his grip around your neck wasn't helping him either. You were getting turned by it. Fuck, praise kink, and now a choking kink, has had he remained himself from fucking you.
Cody leans in and lightly places his lips onto yours. He just wanted to touch your lips, that's all. And you didn't stop him; once you felt his kissing, you immediately kissed him back.
The hand that was around your neck was now wrapped around the back of your neck, as his other hand was on your chest. The kiss was slow, and both of you took in how you two felt.
It wasn't until you and your actions nearly made Cody explode as he groaned in between your kisses that caused the two of you to fight with each other using your tongues.
Your hand tugged on his hair as your other hand pulled him close, and you leaned against the bathroom sink again. His hands now went straight down to your ass, squeezing it as your mouth opened while kissing him. Cody rolled his tongue, swallowing your moan.
Your mind couldn't process the fact Cody put his tongue down your mouth. It wasn't processing because of how good the kiss was. You couldn't help but push him away; however, the two of you couldn't even stare at each other, and you were both out of breath.
But Cody wasn't finished. You felt his hands slightly lifting your dress a bit before he reached the side of your underwear.
You watched him, lips slightly swollen, as his eyes darted down at your dress, pulling your underwear down till you kicked it off your ankles.
It was now in Cody's hand as he stared down at it—a black lace thong. Despite walking into the bathroom, he felt you were doing this on purpose. Oh, to see your legs spread open, having nothing but a lace thong covering your pretty clit of yours. He would have tasted you over the thong. The last time he ate you out, he had to reframe himself from making you cum so quickly. He's given head before to other females. You, the taste of your wet clit was too fucking good.
His breathing was what you notice. His chest was rising heavily as you held your thong in his hand. You bite your lip as you take it from him and shove it in his pocket to give him a souvenir. Then, with risk, a substantial fucking risk, you took his hand and placed it in between your thighs.
He didn't pull his hand back. Instead, he moved his hand upwards, allowing your legs to spread again. Your eyes fluttered shut as your hand immediately held onto Cody's hand. You could feel his fingers playing with your folds, feeling how wet you were.
Oh, my fucking gosh, Cody felt absolutely ruined. The pretty sounds coming out your mouth, the fact you were so wet for him you could hear it. He knew that after tonight, there were going to be consequences for his actions. But right now, he rather sees you cum on his fingers.
"You're so fucking dirty," Cody whispered in your ear. "You like that I'm playing with your pretty pussy in this bathroom where there are so many people out there."
Cody bit down on your ear lobe as you let out a whimper. You then looked up at him as he moaned and grew louder, trying your hardest not to have someone hear. But both you and Cody were making that difficult.
"I love it when you play with my pussy, Cody." You moaned out. "Fuck, I missed this, I missed the way you made me feel."
Cody was going feral right now. His fingers were now inside you as he felt you grinding down on them. What has he gotten himself into?
Your mouth was filthy, and you didn't care. Significantly when Cody sped his pace with his fingers, thrusting them in you faster. You threw your head back as he immediately started kissing your neck.
You can feel Cody grinding on your thigh, trying to find some release. You wanted to return the favor as your hand found his erection, cupping it.
However, you frowned as Cody pulled your hand back as he looked at you. "Not today, baby. Right now, it's about you."
You didn't argue. You couldn't argue as Cody added another finger, finger fucking your clit. You felt your orgasm coming.
All you wanted to do was moan loudly as you felt yourself about cum. But you couldn't. Despite being a party, you knew someone would hear you two.
Cody moaned, however, as you brought your lips to his ears and moaned in them. He felt your legs clenching, your clit clenching around his finger. "Ohhh, I'm close, fuck!"
Cody's finger didn't stop thrusting into you as you reached your climax, cumming on his finger. He watched as your face washed over with bliss, your knuckles turning white as you held on to the table and his shoulders. It was such a beautiful sight to see.
You felt him move his fingers out your clit and watch him look down his finger before raising it to his mouth and getting a taste of your wetness. Cody couldn't help but moan. You taste so sweet, so fucking good. It was impossible that you tasted that so fucking good
Your mouth slightly parted as you let out a small gasp, watching him do something unholy. It turned you on all over again, watching him taste you on his finger.
The two of you tried your hardest to avoid each other. After tonight, you knew it was going to be impossible now.

10 Star Wars Fic Recs for Fanworks Day!
So, today is International Fanworks Day! I saw this post for Feedback Fest 2025, asking for comments "recommending 10 fanworks. Tell everyone why you love these works and why they should check them out." And because I am ~EXTRA~, I decided to make a Tumblr post for this.
But then I realized I could not keep it to 10 recs total and decided to do two posts--one for Inception, and one for Star Wars. There is NO rhyme or reason to the fics recommended here, other than "this is a story I linked to @nutterzoi and told her to go read RIGHT NOW and then when I saw the link I thought 'oh I should read that again'."
Here be my Star Wars fic recs! They are all prequel era, because I have a problem and that problem is named Obi-Wan Kenobi. Recs under the cut!
Trail Markers by @ooboowoonkoonooboo: A modern AU, which I was super hesitant at first, because to be honest? I have been taking my fandom faves and shoving them into Star Wars AUs for the last, oh, almost 30 years. But this was about high altitude climbing! And Codywan! And a special interest of mine is absolutely high altitude climbing and Everest, and here they are climbing Annapurna. (What's even more impressive is that the author ACTUALLY DID THEIR TREK, which. Is probably why it's just so amazingly excellent.) But the writing is fantastic and emotional and the backstory of Cody and his brothers kept me reading when I should have been doing other things. I have not been able to stop thinking about this story since I read it.
New Growth by @outpastthemoat: I was a Jedi Apprentice fan back in The Day, and have a new fixation with Melida/Daan (because look. As an adult, thinking about Qui-Gon abandoning a 13 year old Obi-Wan on a wartorn planet where adults are fighting and killing their own children is really fucked up, and I like the exploration of that). ANYWAY, I have read a BUNCH of post-Melida/Daan fics, but this is my favorite, and from Qui-Gon's POV. He is such a complicated character with a lot of flaws and I love that about him, but he's also a Good Man. Having a Padawan is like having a plant, and the fic includes this line: “No child is ever low-maintenance,” Tahl returns. “You just weren’t paying attention.” I absolutely adore Qui-Gon needing to think of Obi-Wan as a plant in order to realize what he needs to do to help him.
The More I Live the More I See this Life is Not About Me by K_R_Closson: A fic in which Clone Wars General Obi-Wan Kenobi touches a Sith artifact and turns into his 13 year old post Melida/Daan self. (I mentioned the fixation, right?) It's so good, with excellent clone POV (hi Cody ilu), and the tension that comes with knowing they need Obi-Wan to be his adult self again but seeing the boy who doesn't want to be General Kenobi. The conflict that Cody and the clones have regarding forcing someone to do a thing they don't want to and the parallel with their own lives is just. Chef's kiss.
After the War by antheiasilva: It is Qui-Gon/Obi-Wan, so if that's not your jam, be warned. But it's not generally mine either and I love this story to pieces. It's set after the war, in a world where Qui-Gon lived, and it has a really amazing concept for how they defeated Palpatine. It also really does not shy away from showing the PTSD Obi-Wan would and should have after the war. But like: Qui-Gon, Obi-Wan, Anakin, Padme, Ahsoka and the baby twins all living together in Naboo's Lake District. Come on now. Bonus points for the complicated relationship they all have with the Jedi Order, too. It's just full of found family feels.
Patron Saint by @andthepeople: SO FREAKING GOOD. It's an always-female Obi-Wan AU, and I am obsessed with how being female does and does not change who Obi-Wan is and how she manages her role as a Jedi Master and council member and General. The relationship between Obi-Wan and her troops is the heart of the story and the love they all have for each other is just. GUH. Please read this story. The ending is fabulous and has Obi-Wan pulling a Jean Grey Phoenix X2 move that just. I can see it. Everything about this is perfect. (Also it's Codywan.)
And I Fear Nothing by @fox-trot: Unfinished, and that is heartbreaking, because this story is so good. I literally read it all in one six hour sitting, and it's another fic that won't leave my brain alone now. Obi-Wan is on Tatooine with Luke, Leia, Cody and Rex (and later, perhaps a few others). It's all Found Family and PTSD and how they all heal and hurt each other. I love it unconditionally.
The Legend of Liob by killbothtwins: Honestly one of the most entertaining and hilarious stories I have read in a LONG time. A photojournalist is posted to the 212th to help with PR for the war. Someone (Boil) impulsively creates an imaginary trooper, and things spiral out of control from there. But this imaginary trooper does save the day! In just about every single way. It's got great humor, amazing clone and Obi-Wan characterization, and a fabulous plot. Do yourself a favor and read it.
Silent (and So Near) by @tessiete: Another story I have not been able to stop thinking about since reading it. It does say Chapter 1/6, but idk if more will be written or not. I personally do hope so! It's SO well written, and full of emotions. Qui-Gon lived through Naboo, and now the Clone Wars have come and he is NOT interested in being a General. Just. Qui-Gon's feelings and thoughts are so fascinating to me, and his relationship with Obi-Wan and Anakin, guh. The lengths that Obi-Wan goes to to keep Qui-Gon safe from himself. The river stone. Anakin's attitude. I am obsessed with this version of Qui-Gon, tbh.
[to speak of precious evenings] by @cillyscribbles: OH I love this story. First of all, the way with words is just. Beautiful. But taking the "Cody and Obi-Wan get drunk together and talk" plot and turning it into this is a talent. It's beautiful.
Every Shadow by @kenobster: SO. VERY. GOOD. Unfinished, and I hope that it won't stay that way, but just as an FYI. I swear, this is the post Zygerria fic I need. Everyone's trauma after that arc is here and they are all hot messes having terrible times. But it's done well, and the writing is amazing. Do heed the warnings, but nothing explicit is in the fic. This is another story I can't stop thinking about.

Click HERE to be added to my taglist
Loving her is easy.
She’s easy to love. Kind and gentle, warm and welcoming in a way you don’t see often outside the Jedi.
For Cody, loving her is as natural as breathing.
And yet, he’s known from the start that she was too good for him. Someone like her deserves only the best. And Cody is far from the best.
So he does what he knows has to be done. He keeps his distance, treating her like a dear friend, almost a sister, but nothing more. He meets other women and dates them, and she always greets them with a warm smile and a baked treat.
And he ignores the way that she looks at him. The way she smiles at him.
He ignores how her smile falters when he introduces another woman to the friend group. And he pretends he can’t see her heart breaking in her eyes every time he chooses someone else.
It’s for the best.
She deserves better than him.
When she gets kidnapped, her front door kicked in and her apartment trashed, Cody’s heart drops. He’s sure that they’re going to find her body in a ditch somewhere on Coruscant.
He gives up on her.
He can’t conceive of the possibility that she survives something like that. It’s not like she’s a soldier or anything like that. She’s just a baker. And, as much as he loves her, he can’t cling to the faint hope that she might still live. He has a war to win.
Bly…doesn’t agree.
“You have no proof that she’s dead!” Bly snaps, as he’s held back by Wolffe and Fox. Cody’s grateful for it, for all that Bly seems like an easygoing guy, he’s not sure he’d win in a fistfight against him. “You’re giving up on her even though nothing is indicating she’s dead?! What kind of friend are you?”
“I’m a realist, Bly. She’s just a baker—”
Bly rips himself free from his brothers and manages to restrain his anger with great difficulty, “I don’t think I’ve ever been so disgusted with one of my own brothers before. I refuse to give up. I’m going to find her.”
Six months later, Cody is sure that Bly must have given up. Everyone else has.
And yet, Bly sends a simple message in the group chat, “I found her. She’s alive. Will return to Coruscant when deployment ends.”
For Cody, the message is like a breath of fresh air. He never, once, dared to hope that she might still be alive.
And, for the first time, Cody starts to think that maybe he’s been going about this all wrong. Maybe, just maybe, it’s time for him to be honest with himself.
The first time Cody sees her after her long imprisonment, he almost doesn’t recognize her. Her hair is cropped shorter than he had ever seen before, and she looks like she’s lost weight…but when she sees him she offers the same warm smile that she always gave him.
The same smile that makes his heart skip a beat. The same smile that he fell in love with all those months ago.
“I’m glad you’re alright,” Cody offers as she walks over to him.
“Thank you. General Secura put me in touch with a mind healer at the temple, to help me process everything that happened to me. But…” She trails off, and looks away from him, her smile softening slightly, “I think I’m going to be alright.”
“That’s good. I’m glad the Jedi are willing to help you.”
“Well, General Secura said something about the kidnapping being half their fault? I’m not sure what she means, but she feels really guilty about it.”
Well, that’s news to him. But also, he doesn’t want to talk about the Jedi right now. Cody opens his mouth to say something, a rough plan on how he’d ask her on a date starting to form in the back of his mind.
Only he never gets the chance to speak.
“Sugarpop!” Her head turns to the side and a blinding smile crosses her face as she sees Bly standing there, “I was wondering where you slipped off to.”
Cody watches, stunned, as she turns away from him and skips over to Bly, not slowing as she crashes into him and wraps her arms around his neck. And he watches as Bly spins her around to work off some of that momentum, and then leans in to press his forehead against hers.
Oh.
Her hands come up and press against his cheeks, and a giggle he’s never heard before slips from her lips as Bly whispers something to her.
Oh.
A wry, slightly wistful, smile crosses his lips.
He missed his chance.
His gaze meets Bly’s for a moment, and then Cody looks away. He doesn’t want to see this. He doesn’t deserve to see this.
He hears Bly murmur something to her, and he glances at them in time to see her nod and slide back to the ground. “Are we still going to go to the—?” She trails off, her voice tinged in hope.
Bly grins at her and kisses her forehead, “Wild horses couldn’t keep me away.” He takes her hands for a moment, “Wait outside for me? I’ll be just a few minutes.”
“Alright.” She turns and smiles at Cody, “I’ll see you later, Cody!”
“Yeah. Later.” Cody watches her leave the building and then turns his attention to his brother.
“You alright, Codes?” Bly asks.
“Why wouldn’t I be?”
“Because I’m not an idiot and I know you love her?”
“I’m fine, Bly. I’m not entitled to her.”
Bly sighs, “Did you think she was going to wait forever?”
“No. Of course not.” He pauses and then rubs the back of his neck, “Is she happy?”
“I like to think so.”
“Then that’s good enough for me. Just…keep making her happy, and I’ll be fine.”
“You sure?”
“Stop worrying about me, dumbass. Go to your girl.”
“Fine, fine.” Bly turns to leave the building as well, “Oh, but I’m telling Wolffe and Fox that you’re feeling sad.”
Cody huffs out a laugh, “Thanks.” Then Bly and gone and Cody takes a moment to push his hand through his hair.
She could have been his if he hadn’t been such a moron. But then, he’s not sure he’d be able to make her as happy as Bly does.
He tilts his head back, and a bitter laugh slips from him, “Force, I’m such a kriffing idiot.”

TDWT Headcanons Pt. 8
Idea Post Part One Last Part
• Chris did provide jackets for everyone in the Yukon. Just because he didn't want to be sued again and he knew Courtney was itching to do so. Definitely not for his anemic kid- anemic assistant.
• Chris and Chef also provided board and card games for the kids for downtime or in between shoots as they know bored kids and dangerous kids. Plus, Izzy makes up most of that danger if bored, which means they have to include Monopoly since that is her favorite game.
• Noah's not allowed to play blackjack since he can count cards.
• Clue is a popular game to play amongst the kids, and because there are so many of them, they tend to team up. Noah and Izzy aren't allowed to team up anymore. Neither are Heather and Leshawna.
• Alejandro doesn't want to admit that he loves game days because it was something he never got to do in his family, but he really loves it. He's was only allowed to play chess, checkers, go, and the like. (He gets really excited to know Noah, Heather, and Cody play go they also play chess along with Courtney).
• Hide and Seek is another popular game they all play, and though Courtney and Heather like to pretend they're too mature for it, they end up the most competitive on finding people and hiding. Izzy, Noah, Leshawna, and Cody are almost always the last ones to be found. Alejandro loves the game but also has a hard time with it because José used to pretend they were playing hide and seek and then just leave Alejandro hiding for hours.
• Harold has hosted DnD campaigns for some of the cast between Action and World Tour. The common players are Noah, Cody, Owen, Leshawna, Heather, Beth, Lindsay, and Trent.
• Lindsay carries emergency lip gloss and chapstick with her at all times. Not just for herself! For everyone. No one knows where she hides them all. She even assigned specific scents/flavors to people. Everyone found this out in Yukon when she screamed about chapped lips.
• Even though she is pretending to not know who Tyler is, she makes sure to give him his favorite chapstick: Cake Batter.
• The kids are constantly quoting vines, and it leaves Chris and Chef really confused and done.
• Example:
Cody, seeing a road work ahead sign when they are staying at a hotel: "Road work ahead?"
All the contestants' heads popped up from their seats of the bus they rented.
Chef driving looks at Chris who looks baffled: "Uh yeah."
Chris: "Have you guys seriously never seen those signs before? It means-"
All the contestants in perfect unison: "Uh, yeah. I sure hope it does."
Chris and Chef looking at the contestants then at each other: -_-
• The contestants are allowed to change up their outfits in episodes as long as they consist of the pieces of clothing they were wearing when they got introduced. So, for example, Noah can take off any of his shirts as long as he's wearing at least one that everyone knows is part of his signature outfit. Izzy sometimes uses her skirt wrap as a shawl. Lindsay has convertible boots where she can switch out the height of her heel/different style of heel.
• Gwen makes sure to get a postcard everywhere they stop to give to her Nana after the show is over.
• Ezekiel has a room in the crew part of the ship, but there's a camera pointed at the cargo hold door with a motion sensor alarm for him to know if someone goes in. It's so he can sneak down and make some noise to freak someone out and to sell the whole "feral" plot.
• Tyler, despite being basically supernaturally clumsy, is actually a really good cheer leader. In fact, he is on his school's cheer team.
• In the London challenge, Noah was the one to distract the corgis....well more like they distracted him and everyone watching is baffled when Noah pulls out a bag of dog treats that should not have fit in his utility belt. The corgis fell in love with him, and instead of Owen putting them in a sack, they followed Noah out like ducklings.
• Owen, being more of a little shit when Duncan starts being buddy buddy with him, convinces the punk that if they want to stay on Alejandro's good side to call him Al. Later in the confessional, Owen just smiled maniacally and cackled.
• When Noah was eliminated, he did fall into the lake like in canon kind of. Each time a contestant jumps out, there is almost always a body of water, a landing pad, or something to help break their fall with or without a parachute. They always make it seem like they fell from higher up if it's a stunt with no parachute. So, thankfully, Noah hit the mat, but he hit the side and promptly slipped off into the eel infested lake.
• Luckily, he wasn't fully submerged and quickly got but not before he was attacked by one eel. It leaped out of the water and hit his leg. It was more of a graze, really, considering he was actively getting out of the lake. It wasn't terrible, but he still had to go to the hospital
• The kids also hella quote SpongeBob.
• First class does have a TV. But there are so many parental locks on that thing.
• Heather is getting really sick and tired of Alejandro's big obvious crush on Noah. She's trying her best to keep him focused on getting...ew...aleheather to happen for the cameras. She wants her promised bonus for it. But she also wants her friend back. So she wants this whole thing to be a speed run because it's breaking her that Noah won't even look at her anymore. She knows why, god she knows, but she hates it.
• If you have a deal with Chris or the network, you are not allowed to reveal it under any circumstances during the duration of the show with the penalty of doing so being immediate disqualification and a penalty fee.
• Which is why she can't tell Noah about her deal, but the distance between them hurts. It started when he confessed to Heather that he may have had a small, very small crush on Alejandro. Then, she had been told the producers wanted the flirting between her and Alejandro more present in the next episode. She did it, but she saw how betrayed Noah looked at her.
• Next thing she knew, he was eliminated.
• Gwen started to hide her sketchbook because she started drawing Trent a lot more like when they were dating, and she's afraid someone will see it and start to think they'd start throwing challenges again for something as simple as her still liking her ex.
• The fake "pregnancy" scandal Blaineley announced about Tyler was actually him trying on the 9-month baby belly they have for health class to see if he could bend down and sit down with as much ease as his buddies thought. (His parents sued Celebrity Manhunt for spreading false and demeaning information about him).
• And someone did die after cooking a recipe from DJ and his Momma's show, "Momma's Heaping Healthy," but it wasn't because of the calories, carbs, or cholesterol, or anything like that. It was because the person who made it didn't substitute an ingredient that someone from their family was allergic to, and the person ate the food at a family reunion. The person who served it tried to blame DJ and his Momma's recipe, but that didn't hold up, so he tried to sue them for not including substitute options. It's a very messy situation since some saw what was going on and decided to sue the mother & son duo for their excessive weight gain. Then, more people jumped on the smoking train and started claiming their food was the cause of multiple problems.
• DJ and his Momma used a lot of money to pay lawyers. They're not homeless, just a little low on funds at the moment. DJ wants to win to get them back the money they spent on lawyers but to also open a restaurant with his mom instead of the show. With a restaurant, they would have more insurance with bogus claims like the ones they were dealing with.
• Owen's ad for the Bellybuster 5000 was a satire commercial he did for a comedy show.
• The only true things Blainley reported were the raccoon adoption between Courtney and Duncan, Heather's weight gain, and the subsequent back and forth she and Gwen went through, and the Total Drama Brothers' split.
• It was because of the lies and the angry parents suing her and Celebrity Manhunt about them, plus the treatment of the interns was real, and they sued too. Also it was aired on live TV... Everyone saw it, and a lot of people were appalled. This is some of the reasons she was fired from Celebrity Manhunt.
• Leshawna didn't actually knock a tooth out of Heather, but they did fight in Germany, which resulted in them getting into each other's faces and Leshawna slapping Heather hard. She hadn't meant to do it so hard, but Chris took her aside and said the majority of the viewers missed her and Heather fighting, and he would pay her a large sum to amp up any fight they had. They had had small spats here and there because of Alejandro, but the one in Germany was the worst because Heather brought up something she had told her in confidence, which resulted in the slap.
• Alejandro is so whipped. He practically melts when he's the chosen cuddle buddy for the night. He secretly wishes that he was the only cuddle buddy, I mean, it makes sense! They fit so well together, and plus he runs hot and Noah is always cold, and they help regulate each other.
• Noah gave up trying not to cuddle with anyone once Izzy let it out that he's already been filmed cuddling almost everyone. He wasn't happy at all, but he knew it would keep happening, so he made a list of those he is okay cuddling.
• Him adding Alejandro is purely strategic shut up.

Just came across your blog and I ended up binge-reading everything! I'm in love with the way you write the characters, specially the Proxies. And the female Proxy is definetly my favourite👌.
How it would be if, instead of being Slender's trusted minion and already a experienced Proxy, she was a newbie and fresh meat? Kinda like Cody, younger and dragged there with little to no choice because the Operator saw potential in them. Would the dynamics change, since she doesn't have a high rank to rely on?
Maybe Brian is appointed as her mentor and he gets advantage of her inexperience by corrupting her?
I'M VERY GLAD YOU ENJOY MY BLOG💖
Creepypasta Proxies x Newbie!Female Proxy
The overbearing silence after the buzzing static faded away was bringing in a new damned life. It's been a month since you were bought here, locked in your room until The Operator decided it was enough for you to settle in
It was time for you to meet again with the masked men that dragged you here-the same killers that were supposed to be your team, "allies" even
Every resident was looking down on you, even EJ that pitied you and looked at you with mercy behind his blue mask. The first time you had to pay a visit to his clinic he even asked if you are scared because deep down, his instinct made him to enjoy it
The harassing is real, but this time it's more dangerous.Remember, you're a helpless outsider in a place full of rapists, killers and awful fantasies.Walking down dark hallways is always in a hurry, same as eating and showering.
Since Brian was assigned to your ass, you're almost totally saved and worry free next to him,but he's also a piece of shit
He sees your potential, after all, if The Operator views you as valuable-then you're most certainly priceless.
He's a gentle guy, takes his sweet sweet time to teach you everything you need to know.
Sure,he respects you,but during training sessions he will do everything in his power to get you under him, sort of helpless.
"See,it's not that hard" he breathed out as he guided your hands on the right places "if you ever happen to find yourself in this position you know what to do now, right?" he smiled in a gentle manner, slowly standing up from above you, taking you by your hand with him."Do you want to reverse the roles?"
He will defend your name even if you are in the wrong during proxy meetings. He will keep on bringing up how fucked up all of them felt when they arrived there, and this point always works.(more or less for Masky)He knows how to pull the strings when he wants to
You already know the drill,Masky is a menace to work with, especially with newbies.Don't get me wrong,he doesn't expect you to be fully prepared to know shit,he enjoys having you dumb, but he will always make you feel like shit,he will try his best to bring a pained expression to your face because it makes him feel better and he's bored of Toby
Definitely uses you as a vent chat,no restrictions for him, from inventing some fucked up story to telling you about his miserable life from before the mansion and during the present since he doesn't expect you to stay
The only time he stops is when his friend gives him the sign. It's crazy, but he respects Brian more than he cares about breaking some of your lovely bones
Toby was more than glad to know another woman "joined in",especially since you're new and vulnerable,he now has the chance to look out for someone and to be needed
Altough Toby was the most unusual individual,Cody was the one to give you the creeps most of the times. And he does it on purpose
Since he's no longer the fresh meat everyone looks down to,he feels superior that now he has you around
He wouldn't bully you or make you feel bad on purpose, but he will definitely baby you around A LOT
Kate is complicated. She doesn't talk, she doesn't look at you,she doesn't make any effort to teach nor to train you.She looks down on you,and the only time she will open her mouth is to either tell you to stop what you're doing or to answer any of your questions with a phrase so vague it will make you have even more questions
Time is precious,so don't waste it.Every hour can be spent becoming stronger, but also every hour goes by terribly slow when around every fucking corner someone is gawking their eyes at you

I have a migraine coming on so I present to you:
How the clones react when they have a headache:
Rex: takes so many pain pills. Refuses to let this stop him. Drinks water constantly. And yet. This man refuses to try a snack to fix his headache. Cody has had Fives and Echo hold him down so he can make Rex eat a granola bar. (The granola bar helps Rex refuses to admit it.)
Cody: refuses to admit anything is wrong. Total hypocrite. Will bully everyone else into pain relievers, snacks, and water but will never take his own advice. Quite like his above mentioned brother he will never admit to something working and has to be tricked into doing something to relieve the pain.
Fox: chews on espresso beans to make his headache a caffeinated headache. Also is just in a constant state of discomfort from not sleeping enough. His headache would go away should he drink water or nap but the man would rather down another energy drink and move on.
Wolffe: will be grumpy about it until he can nap. Is really good about finding some sort of relief and is quiet about his pain. (Likes when someone will rub his head though that helps he won’t ask for it though.)
Fives: biiiiiiig mad. Super baby about it. Immediately wants an aleve and a snack but somehow thinks drinking something with sugar will help??? Instead of water??? And he’s somehow correct every time??? Lays his head in Echo’s lap and requests a head massage and promptly falls asleep.
Echo: I think he’s good about managing pain because he doesn’t want it to impact his ability to do things. He carries snacks and water and will take a reliever if pushed (although he says he doesn’t want to take it because he doesn’t want to ‘waste’ supplies on himself. Take the damn pill Echo you’ll feel better.) Refuses to be alone when he’s in pain and would always prefer someone to just sit nearby if he’s going to nap. As long as it’s dark and calm he’s pretty quiet about it. Tries to hide it 9 times out of 10 but he’s got nosey friends and they somehow always know and bully him into taking care of himself.
Hunter: oof. Poor guy gets migraines. Can never hide it. His eyes hurt so bad. His brain feels like it’s banging against his skull. Has to take some sort of medication immediately otherwise he gets sick. He’d prefer some solitude to be in pain alone but sometimes someone will take his bandana off and play with his hair to help.
Wrecker: Hates headaches but gets them concentrated right behind his eyes. Is not quiet about the pain and will request literally anything to make it go away. Tech is excellent at playing doctor here and knows exactly the combination of things to make it go away and keep Wrecker comfortable.
Tech: if it’s bad enough he will take a sedative and pass out for twelve hours and wake up fine. Does not fuck around and will not remain uncomfortable. He gets the slightest inclination of a headache and he’s eating a mini candy bar and a piece of cheese and also drinking eight ounces of water in five minutes before trying a pill that he knows will target the root cause of the problem. Scary efficient and competent.
Crosshair: oh boy. Will make it everyone else’s problem. He hates headaches. He’ll curl into a ball in whatever dark corner he can find and snap at anyone who tries to talk to him. Best bet is to silently bring offerings of food and water and leave him be until he feels more comfortable. He will never admit it but sometimes really quiet talking or even singing can help him at least feel better.

Aaaaand everyone give it up for WASTED POTENTIAL
Season finale spoilers under the cut
Okay. I'll be honest. The finale was... not what I was hoping for.
I tried so hard to remain optimistic. I truly believed they could pull it all together and everything was going to have a satisfying conclusion. But I guess that's my fault. I set my expectations too high.
Is this about Tech? Primarily, yes. Yes it was. I am so disappointed. And you can make fun of me all you want but I genuinely believed, with all my heart, that CX-2 was Tech.
BECAUSE WHY THE FUCK ELSE WAS THERE SO MUCH EMPHASIS ON HIM
There was so much to suggest that CX-2 was somebody we knew. We spent so much time on him, suffered through so many completely unnecessary, in hindsight, close up shots and random pieces of episodes that focus on him, only for him to get javelined through the middle in the span of half a second.
It feels like the writers were just making fun of the viewers, at this point. Haha, can you believe they actually thought?
Yes, we did think! Did you?
Tech's death was so... unconvincing. They didn't even try. Not only was his life "cut short" in the midst of his character development, said death was caused by falling, without any other kind of injury, while we watch him disappear into the clouds. And then we see no body and only have his broken goggles as "evidence" of his death. What the hell else were we supposed to assume?
That's not even bringing up that Tech gets maybe three mentions all throughout the entire season. The show never touches on how the death of one of their squadmates, people they have known since birth, affects the batch. Not once do they ever say out loud that Tech is dead until the fucking finale.
This isn't just me reading too closely between the lines. This is genuinely bad writing. It's loading chekhov's gun and then refusing to shoot it.
Even if CX-2 wasn't Tech, or even somebody we knew, the way he is treated suggests that he was supposed to be important. He was supposed to be be relevant. And now, he's neither!
Furthermore, where fuck was everybody? Where was Rex with the reinforcements to storm the base? Where was Wolffe deciding he didn't want anything to do with the Empire anymore? Where was Cody? Where was Phee in all of this?
Where was Cid? So we're just... not going to get any kind of closure for that? We spend two entire seasons with her, then she just betrays them and we never see her again? Even if they didn't redeem her, that feels like pretty damn bold move.
The Zillo beast does... barely anything. Really? It just breaks out and moves away from the biggest source of energy it will ever find after causing the slightest amount of property damage to two rooms, and storms off into the woods, and that's all we get? Seriously?
And then once we get to the time jump... Echo's gone. Again. Either still off with Rex, if he hasn't gone into hiding yet, or died off screen. Neither is a good nor satisfying ending for his character. But I guess shouldn't be surprised by that. When have the writers ever cared about Echo?
The biggest problem with the whole thing is that it didn't feel like a finale. It felt like a normal episode, just slightly longer. The Bad Batch returned to Pabu, because I guess there are no consequences from the Batch being discovered there before and the empire decided that they were just going to... leave it alone, and everything returns to the status quo. That's not what a finale does, Dave.
Maybe I'm being too harsh. There were parts that I enjoyed. I'm glad Hunter, Wrecker, and Crosshair got their happy endings. Seeing Omega all grown up really did something to my heart. But overall I am just so frustrated.

I had some thoughts about Guppy and her Spanish admirers:
Guppy helped teach Codi English so Codi returned the favour and taught Guppy some Spanish during their puzzle nights
Other than Lia and Leah, Guppy's other Arsenal shirt for last season was Codi's because they're buddies and Guppy wanted to show her some support as she settled in
Codi bragged endlessly last season about her little buddy at Spain camp and got seriously judged because 'your new best friend is a kid? That's really sad, Codi' only to be reaping the rewards when Mario joins and Guppy and Codi are already tight
Mario got given a crash course in Guppy by AMC before she joined so knew all the super random little things like how Guppy opens and closes her bedroom window twice before getting in bed but not the bigger things like Guppy's favourite food
Mario also now brags to the Spain girls about her 'stepdaughter Guppy' and will not stop talking about how smart she is and how helpful and how good she is and everyone is like 'yeah, Mario, we know!'
Mario isn't as good of a puzzler as Codi is so puzzle nights usually mean Guppy on Mario's lap and Mario's only allowed to give verbal encouragement because the one other time she was allowed to touch the pieces, she lost them and the puzzle went unfinished for ages
One time, the three of them were given a Rubik's Cube and it genuinely occupied them for hours because they refused to cheat and google the easiest way to solve one
Guppy also now owns a Mariona Arsenal shirt for this season because if there's one thing Guppy will do, it's supporting the Spanish players in the team
Like how Guppy is trained to react to 'nein', she has now accidentally trained to Mario and Codi to react the same. Even if it's not aimed at them. Heads turn and actions are stopped when they hear it
There is a secret plan to sneak Guppy into Spain one day so Mario and Codi can show her off to the Spain girls in person. They think Lia isn't aware of it but she's very aware and likes listening in on their outrageous ideas because she thinks it's funny

I wrote this little thing in my cloneshipping server like 2 years ago and I wanted to share it because everyone deserves more Cody/Kix. I might flesh it out one day, but for now you lot can have my ramblings.
.
Kix drinks himself under the table alone in the medbay, chest heavy enough to cry, but he has nothing left. He's had multiple hookups with Cody, and he thought it was more. He thought Cody might love him because it doesn't feel like just sex.
But Cody tells him they can't do this anymore. It isn't right. He's Kix's commanding officer, and he can turn a blind eye to others, but he can't do it himself. And Kix is heartbroken. He should have known better, but he can't just forget how Cody kissed him, how they smiled and talked about the future and how they made love on Coruscant.
Fast forward a few campaigns (after Jesse and Hardcase found Kix absolutely blasted in the training room aimlessly shooting and crying with his *actual* blaster) and Torrent and Ghost are teamed up for a mission. Kix is the lead medic, and he's working on one of Cody's boys. He's in bad shape, but Kix has it under control.
Cody comes in to check on his men (because morale!) and starts trying to make small talk with Kix. Kix ignores him unless it's a medical question.
Cody sighs, "Kix, please, talk to me."
"Unless you're injured, *Commander*, I don't have anything to say to you," Kix spits without looking up from his datapad.
"...Please, Kix, you have to understand...I have a responsibility to my men--"
"And what happens to them when you can't protect them? Hm? *I* have to fix *your* mistakes!" Kix yells, and that gets some eyes turned to them.
Rex comes in quietly, hearing the commotion, but stands and watches. This has been a long time coming.
"Kix, it isn't like that--"
"Then what is it like, Cody?! You let these men give you everything, and you tell them they're important to you. You hold their hands while you're there, but then you move on as quick as you come! And who is left to pick up the pieces?! I am!! I have to fix it and sometimes I can't but I have to tell them it's okay!! And it's your fault!!" Kix screams, slamming his hands on the table next to him. His whole body shakes, and he bites his lip to keep from wobbling.
Cody is stunned. He shouldn't be, but his heart aches, and he just wants to tell Kix he's sorry because he is, and he meant everything, every night, every kiss...
"Kix...I--"
"Get out of my medical tent," Kix seethes.
Cody doesn't move.
"GET OUT, MARSHAL COMMANDER CODY! THATS AN ORDER!"
Cody looks to the front of the tent and sees Rex. "Rex?"
Rex sighs and shakes his head. "Not this time, Cody. You heard my medic. Don't make him repeat himself."
Cody knows when he's overstayed his welcome. He leaves the tent without another word. He knows there's nothing he can do or say. He broke Kix's heart, but he doesn't need to know he broke his own, too.
He gets about 20 feet from the tent to see a group of troopers he recognizes talking in hushed tones. Waxer and Jesse are deep in conversation, while Boil, Fives, Wooley, and Hardcase nod along and chime in.
"Boys," he greets half-heartedly. Wooley is the only one that straightens to attention. Cody isn't surprised. Half the camp probably heard Kix yelling at him.
He gets a few steps away before someone calls after him.
"Commander, hold up a second!"
Waxer. Cody hears him jump down from the low hanging branch he was perched on beside Boil and takes a few steps away from the group.
"Permission to speak freely, sir?" He asks.
Cody hears someone, probably Jesse, by the scowl on his face, scoff, but nods to Waxer. "Go on."
"Sir, Cody, there's been a lot of chatter about what happened between you and Kix," Waxer says cautiously.
Cody scoffs as well. "What else is new. The troopers love to gossip, and I'm often the subject."
Waxer shifts nervously, then sighs. "Cody, what they're saying...it isn't good. It's the kind of chatter that gets a lower-ranked clone investigated."
Cody's blood freezes. "What?"
"They don't see your breakup with Kix as honorable, Cody. I know that was your intention and you just wanted to set an example, but I don't think this is the kind of example you had in mind," Waxer explains.
"Well, what are they saying?" Cody presses.
Before Waxer can reply, Jesse and Fives step closer wearing matching snarls.
"They say you used Kix and put your hands on him," Fives growls.
Cody blanches. No. Nononono. He loves Kix. He would never. How was that even remotely a conclusion that was drawn?
"No," Cody answers coldly. "I never put my hands where he didn't want them. Everything was consensual."
"It better have been," Jesse cracks his knuckles, "because if I find out otherwise, being decommissioned will be well worth what I'll do to you."
Cody could pull rank. He should. But his heart...how had this gotten so out of hand? Nothing he did seemed right, and the only thing that felt better was having Kix at his side.
This wasn't supposed to happen. It was supposed to be a fling, just acting on a crush to get it out and move on. But once turned to twice, than three, four, five...Cody can recall every single one, from the first drunken rendezvous in the back of 79s, to the passionate love making in the hotel room that overlooked the Coruscant skyline. He remembers how Kix tastes of sweet fuzzy fruits and something spicy that makes him gasp when it hits his tongue. He remembers the way Kix would laugh and lean into him when be felt shy and fucking Force he's so beautiful when he smiles.
Cody is an idiot.
They allow him to leave without any further altercation, but the rumors don't stop, even after the campaign. Cody doesn't understand how it's come to this.
He's only mildly shocked to be called in by General Kenobi, and less shocked to see General Skywalker with him.
But so is Kix.
"I've already heard Kix's side," General Skywalker says, "but I'd like to hear yours ass well."
Cody doesn't need to be told what he's referring to. He doesn't fight him, just sighs heavily, defeated.
He tells his side and adds, "I didn't want to call things off. I thought it would look bad. I'm Kix's superior officer and I knew that I had reached a point where I would put him above all others. That is something I can't afford to do. I am...I am supposed to be someone people respect and look up to..."
Cody feels broken. He realizes he hasn't shaved in weeks, and he's maybe gotten only a handful of sleep in that time.
But he can't look at Kix. He'll lose what composure he's managed to maintain. Kix didn't deserve this. They hadn't spoken since their fight in the medical tent.
The Generals exchange glances. "Yes, that's about what Kix had told us as well."
Cody sags, somewhat relieved. He's glad that Kix isn't perpetuating the rumors and is actively trying to strike them out.
"For what it's worth, Generals, I apologize for having to drag you into this, but I felt that the air needed to be cleared. Commander Cody did what he thought was best for his men, and I respect that. And he was respectful of me." Kix explains. His voice sounds tired and meek, and Cody shatters for him.
They're dismissed, but Cody waits for Kix to leave first to give him a head start. Surely he doesn't want to talk, or be followed.
As he waits he feels Kenobi and Skywalker's eyes on him, and he dances from foot to foot, anxious.
"Something you'd like to add, Sirs?" He asks simply because he can't stand the heavy silence.
"Do you actually love him?" Skywalker questions. It isn't accusatory per se, but there's an edge to his tone that makes Cody's skin prick with fire.
"Anakin, that's hardly an appropriate question. What Commander Cody does while he is off-duty is none of our business," Kenobi defends, exasperated.
"It's okay," Cody sighs. Besides, he really has nothing to hide. "I...did. I do. I love Kix. If that makes me an ineffective Commander I understand."
To his surprise, Kenobi laughs.
"Cody, loving someone, especially in these times, isn't wrong," Kenobi explains. "On the contrary, if it keeps the fire to fight lit, and it won't hinder your effectiveness in battle, why should we intervene?"
Cody is gobsmacked. He picks his jaw up from the floor, but he still flounders. "I am Kix's commanding officer. There is a large power dynamic that lies between us."
Skywalker smirks. "I dunno, Cody. Seems like he was the one calling the shots in the tent that night."
Maybe Cody is overthinking this.
After he'd excused himself from his meeting with the Generals, he stalked back to his quarters. He should check on his men, but he doesn't have it in him to put a smile on for them when he feels like he's been repeatedly punched in the gut.
He enters his room code and stops in the doorway. There, on his bed, is a pile of white and blue armor with a distinctive red cross on the shoulder paldron. Next to it, Kix is sitting in his blacks, knees curled up to his chest and forehead resting against them.
Quietly, Cody closes the door and puts his bucket down. He doesn't want to spook Kix, but he doesn't want to pry either. He kneels in front of him, and silently waits.
"I don't know why I came here," Kix sniffs. "I guess...I wanted your name to be cleared. You're a bastard and an asshole and you broke my heart but you're a good man. I never questioned that."
Cody frowns, but keeps his silence.
"I don't know how the rumors started but I didn't want your name to be dragged through the mud like that when...it wasn't like that. At least it didn't feel like that." Kix's voice breaks on a small sob.
"...No, it wasn't like that," Cody confirms. "Every night we were together was...it was special, Kix."
Tears brim Kix's gorgeous hazel eyes. Cody would swear on the nights that spent together that there were gold flecks in them, and too many times Cody has been entranced getting lost in their depths.
"I don't deserve your tears," Cody murmurs and catches the tears on the pads of his thumbs.
"You're right about that," Kix clips, but he doesn't shy away from Cody's touch. Instead he's fighting to lean into the hands that had once cradled him so tenderly.
Silence falls for a beat, and then it's too much. Suddenly Kix is holding onto Cody's hands and the tears spill anyway.
"Take it back," he cries, lip wobbling and face pulling in anguish. "Take back that night and tell me it was a lie. Because it hurts, Cody. I've been shot, burned, and beaten, but nothing compares to this pain, and nothing I do helps. What kind of medic am I if I can't heal my own heart?"
Kix falls into Cody's arms with a pathetic wail, and Cody lets him, holds him the way he's wanted to since the day he sent Kix away and told him it was over. He curls his fingers into the nape of his neck and steadies him, rocking him gently.
"I take it back," Cody declares softly and kisses his temple. "I should have told you the truth that night, but I... was scared of my own feelings, and I hurt you."
Cody sits back enough to look Kix in his eyes, damp, swollen from tears, but stars he's still so fucking beautiful.
"I love you, Kix."
Cody expects a reaction. A kiss, more crying, a particularly hard shove...he's prepared for that.
He is not prepared for a Kix to stew, reel back, and clip him square in the cheek with a hard fist. Cody falls onto his back with a shocked gasp and stares up at Kix as he slides from the bed to loom over him.
"You asshole! You have the audacity to say that?! After everything you put me through?! I've cried for you! I've tried to move on! And at the end of the day, I still see your stupid face everywhere!"
Cody refrains from pointing out that their faces are very nearly identical in favor of rubbing his jaw.
"Okay, I deserve that," Cody admits.
"You're damn right you do, and a dozen more," Kix huffs above him.
But then Kix's weight is on him, and Kix is kissing him like he needs it to breathe.
Cody slides his hands over the short buzz of Kix's hair and absently traces the lightning bolts carefully razored in. His jaw is in agony and he can feel the tightness already pulling from the swelling, but it's worth it to have that sweet taste filling his mouth again, dancing on his tongue like he's being welcomed home.
When they part, Kix is flush, and Cody let's his hands rest on his cheeks. "I'm getting mixed signals here."
Kix barks out a laugh and kisses him again. "I love you, too, but you're still an asshole."
"Mm. That's fair," Cody grins. "I am sorry, Kix. I put you through hell when I should have been honest with you. I want to keep you, Kix. I want you all to myself like the selfish man I am. I want to hide you away because sometimes I think you're the only good thing left in the galaxy."
Kix feels his heart flutter in his chest. To be honest, he isn't surprised. Cody has always found ways to sweep him off his feet, and this time is no exception. A beautiful flush spread over his cheeks and he nuzzles Cody's cheek.
"Be honest with me from now on," Kix pleads. "I can't do this again, Cody."
"You'll never have to," Cody hums and kisses the tip of his nose, making Kix scrunch it cutely. "Never again. I promise."

New Commission for Chapter 64 – Streets of Gold!
My first codywan illustration!! Ahh! And I am in ~AWE~ ...Nicky_tesss is in my head again...
Me: (omitting background descriptions)
Nicky: “This is what it looks like.”
Me: “YEP! That’s it!”
Look at the lighting! Look at those bricks! So rustic and romantic 🥰
Their body language and facial expressions are absolutely incredible here. Cody could not love this man more. You soak up all that comfort, hurt Master Obi!
THANK YOU, THANK YOU, NICKY! ❤️
Now. While this is first an obikin story with only a background codywan happily ever after, starting near the end (different Obi-Wan), I didn’t want to sensor the ship name for the purpose of this post; this piece can surely be enjoyed outside of the context of the fic, and it is too beautiful not to share with everyone!
#streets of gold#chapter 64#obikin#fanfic#codywan#fanart#all the happily ever afters across time and space#for ALL the ships!#🥰

This may fall upon deaf ears/ears unwilling to listen, but as we go into the last two episodes of TBB ever, the fandom needs to seriously clean up their attitude. I've been watching shit go down from the sidelines and trying not to get involved with the drama—people being so mean to one another and bullying one another into believing their headcanons (which are OPINIONS) as canon truth—and I've been disgusted with some people's behavior on here. I'm not sure what about TBB S3 in particular has brought the worst out in people, but it's so annoying and it sucks the fun out of being part of a fandom community.
So please (and this should be common sense):
For the love of God, BE KIND. If you see something harmless you disagree with (i.e., personal headcanons and think pieces, no matter how stupid and uninformed they may seem to you), move on. Don't react because it almost always ends in a nasty fight. Be mature. I've seen people bullying others into accepting their personal headcanons as canon (e.g., the "Tech is alive" and "Cody is on Tatooine" truthers), so please don't do that either. Differing headcanons can coexist in a fandom space because they're headcanons, another word for opinions. It's not the objective, concrete truth. Don't force them on other people if they don't agree with you.
If you see any racist, homophobic, sexist, and/or xenophobic comments about the characters (e.g., I've been seeing some fucking awful takes on Phee as of late), shut them down. Don't be a bigot.
Stop insulting people's intelligence as your primary counterargument to people's takes. Everyone's critical thinking skills (I've refrained from using the term "media analysis skills" because TikTok has seemed to make it lose its meaning, in my opinion) can be improved upon, my own included. It's a learning curve and we're all growing. Be self-aware in that regard. It's a logical fallacy—the ad hominem fallacy—to attack the arguer and not the argument, so it just looks dumb and makes you look bad.
Tag your spoilers. #tbb spoilers seems to be the most widely used, so I'd go that route.
If you have anything else to add to the list, please do! I want the unity and respect back in the fandom again, especially as we reach the bittersweet end of a beautiful show that has brought us all together as friends.
#i'm not calling out anyone in particular#these are just my observations of what's been going on in general#it's felt different for the worse in tbb s3 and i miss when we felt more connected#you know?#i acknowledge there are some things i need to work on too so i'm not out here just being a hypocrite#tbb s3
