Anon, you have unlocked one of my favorite Nico Hischier subtopics - Nico Charms Opposing Players.

Let's highlight some of my favorite examples shall we?

Exhibit A - if you remember this sequence, Nico is all gotta go fast against the walls and slips past Lauzon and they end up kind of colliding and as they're getting up and catching their breath, Nico places this casual hand on Lauzon's thigh.

Exhibit B - Cernak tries to start some shit with Nico, and Nico just smiles at him. This shrug. This "come on now" facial expression. Zeal's tags in this are accurate "Nico used charm! it was very effective!"

Exhibit C - tenderly putting his arm around POJ's waist. like Nico, you are playing against that man.

Exhibit D - I'm sorry I don't know who this Ottawa man is who Nico is gently placing a hand on in front of the net, but another one, thank you.

Exhibit E - I'm including this GIFset of Nico v. Marchand even though it doesn't precisely fit the category, but I feel like it kind of does. Marchand wants to fight and Nico just smiles and pushes him away plus cheeky tongue.

There's definitely a lot more instances of Nico just charming opposing players. There's one from the most recent season, I just can't remember who they were playing, where someone ran into Nico and like Jesper and Johnny and some others came together to defend Nico's honor and Nico was skating off into the sunset with one of the opposing players. I wanna say it was a Carolina game and the player that Nico was draped all over was Orlov, but I genuinely can't remember any specifics.

Not in an obvious way (that's what he thinks at least), but more so absentmindedly fiddling with his side burns and such. It's kinda funny when he accidentally curls them and leaves them like that for a while. He also has a habit of playing with his baby hairs on the back of his neck.

!Katsuki who "accidentally" managed to copy your handwriting style down stroke for stroke? He doesn't really know how it happened, to be honest. He just noticed it one day during a group project after Jirou pointed it out to the two of you. You found it funny, but he found it outrageous and claimed that you had been the one to copy his handwriting.

!Katsuki who allowed you to tag along on one of Kirishima's and his study sessions. He beat the shit out of Eijirou and was gentle with you, more or less. He wouldn't hit you of course, but he certainly wasn't scared to yell. At least the first time. The look you gave him made him writhe with guilt, so he shut the fuck up out of embarrassment.

!Katsuki who heard you talking about a band you loved and decided it was his god given right to go through their whole discography and criticise it in his own time. But turns out, you have good taste, so he keeps to himself about it. "Accidentally" bought a spare ticket to their next concert and offered the spot to you. No big deal, right?

!Katsuki who did extensive searching for your socials, scrolling through his friends friends following, mutuals, and genuinely just word of mouth. When he did find your accounts, he stalked the SHIT out of them. When you requested to follow him, he freaked out and accepted straight away. He didn't follow you back until a week later, "just to be safe".

!Katsuki who unironically took one of those "Do I have a crush on my friend?" quizzes when he started to feel things towards you. 100% went down a rabbit hole on buzzfeed. He wanted to call his "crush" ANYTHING other than what it was. Mentioned it to Kirishima once and was left even ore confused than what he had originally been.

Unrelated but he just looks like he would listen to Eminem. Probably gets a good chuckle out of the whole "You gonna cancel me, yeah? Gen Z me brah?!" thing. Don't ask me to explain why I think this, it just makes sense.

!Katsuki who more often than not is watching you out of the corner of his eye. Not in an overly-creepy way, he's just "aware of his surroundings". He says that to anyone that mentions it, which is literally just his paranoia.

!Katsuki who secretly loved the fact that you hung out with him and his friends almost daily. Because then he wouldn't have to initiate hangouts and look as desperate as he really was. It gave him a plausible excuse to absorb every single opinion you uttered. It gave him an excuse to get even closer to you.

!Katsuki who freaked the FUCK out when everyone (besides the two of you) got sick and couldn't do the bi-weekly hangout everyone had played a part in organising. The group had settled on doing karaoke, so you can imagine how it went down with just the two of you there. Although, the two of you did make an amazing duet. (No one was really sick, Mina just mentioned Katsuki's behaviour and put 2 and 2 together. She also wanted to see if he would take initiative for once.)

!Katsuki who went out of his way to make changes to his hero costume that he knew you would like. Small details here and there, for both style and practicality. While it was cold he would use the neck warmer to hide the smirk that creeped onto his face when he saw you checking out his new look. He also started to make himself look nicer in general, indulging in a bit of jewellery (stud earrings, a ring or two, and a silver necklace), nicer shoes, wearing the uniform properly and such.

!Katsuki who has your number pinned in his contacts, as well as giving you your own message & ring tone sound. He has everyone but you, Kirishima, and his parents on silenced. He also has your contact saved as a nickname he assigned you without you knowing with a heart emoji. It's simple, but endearing.

The Monaco Grand Prix was always one of the highlights of the season- the prestige and luxury it brought forward was matched by no other race.

It was also the home of many F1 drivers, including herself. So it wasn't too out of the ordinary for a bunch of them to get together and celebrate in one of the many clubs the city had to offer.

''Y/N, we're going out later tonight, wanna join?'' Pierre asked her, all of their media duties done for the day. Lando, Charles, Max, George and Alex amusingly looked at her, already knowing she would never pass the opportunity to party.

She scrunched her nose, feeling the teasing coming from a mile away. ''I, uh, actually have other plans.''

''What do you mean you have other plans?'' The frowns on the guys' faces didn't do their obvious confusion justice. ''You're seriously saying no to a party with us?'' George was flabbergasted, he had known her for years and in all that time she had never refused.

''I am saying no this time.'' Y/N chuckled, their faces too funny not to laugh at.

''Even the girls are coming,'' Lando said, referring to their girlfriends, ''you can say no to us, but you surely can't say no to them.'' He tried convincing her, knowing about her soft spot for their girls.

Y/N loudly sighed, glancing away for a moment. ''I already told Lily I wasn't coming so that won't be a problem.''

''She didn't tell me that.'' Alex argued, almost offended by his girlfriend not informing him.

The young woman glimpsed at him, a smirk on her face. ''Well, there are many things she doesn't tell you that she tells me, Albono.'' She ended her sentence with a wink to the Williams driver.

Her comment had temporarily taken the focus off of her dismissal to party as the drivers laughed and poked some fun at Alex, but Charles wouldn't let her get away with it just yet. ''But what are those other plans you have, Y/N?''

''I just have better things to do, guys.'' She said, making an advance to leave the paddock and go home for the day.

''Like what?'' Max asked, puzzled by her vague answer.

''I don't know, my friend didn't say his name.'' She grinned from ear-to-ear, quickly waving them goodbye before they could stop her and tease her for going on a blind date with someone.

Y/N could hear the commotion they made as she walked away, secretly smiling to herself. ''I can't believe she's dumping us for some guy.'' She swore it was Lando who said it.

Walking into the driver's briefing the next day hadn't been like the usual days. Normally, she walked in, greeted everyone and sat down on a random chair. However this time, it went a little different.

Y/N walked into the room and greeted everyone, nothing out of the ordinary. But instead of a symphony of excited and dismissed greetings back, she was met with smirks and chuckles from her fellow drivers.

''What is it?'' She asked them, not sitting down before she had an answer.

Yet, they continued acting like teenagers and giggled amongst themselves, not giving her an explanation for their weird behaviour.

Daniel was the first one to have mercy on her and spoke up. ''You had fun last night?'' The raised eyebrow didn't go unnoticed, the Australian referring to her blind date from the night before that the other must have informed the entire grid about before she arrived.

''It was alright.'' She merely said, finally sitting down on the chair next to Lewis who didn't seem to be very invested as he typed something on his phone.

''Just alright? Cause it seems like you were busy.'' Lando continued the teasing, weirdly putting his hand on the side of his neck.

Y/N frowned at his action. ''I have no idea what you're talking about and stop acting like an idiot.'' She awkwardly chuckled, unnerved by everything.

''You're the only clueless idiot in the room right now, I'm afraid.'' George commented, smiling a bit too bright in her opinion.

''I'm totally confused.'' She let out, not hiding her confusion any longer.

Lewis scratched his voice, not taking his eyes off his phone. ''We can see the hickey on your neck.'' He revealed to her, matter-of-factly.

Y/N's eyes widened, immediately hiding her neck into her sweater while she could feel her head heating up due to embarrassment. ''I just walked past all the reporters- oh my god!'' She exclaimed, angry at herself for giving them any kind of news they could gossip about.

''I'm so happy it's not me this time.'' Lando laughed, victoriously throwing his hands in the air.

''You're the victim of the week, kiddo.'' Valtteri ruffled her hair, sitting on the chair behind her and his former teammate. She weakly smiled at him, mortified at what her team's press officer was going to say about this.

A figure taking the space on the other side of her brought the woman out of her thoughts, glancing beside her, she found Mick's comforting smile. ''Don't listen to them,'' he whispered, ''so, tell me about it! Is he a nice guy?'' Mick couldn't help but be curious, they have been good friends for years.

Y/N snorted, quickly covering her mouth. ''I don't know, there wasn't much talking, to be honest.''

''Okay, gross.''

Sodapop headcanons:

He’s absolutely terrified of bugs. He punched a hole in the wall because he saw a spider (Darry was livid)

He is not a picky eater at all. He will eat food that’s been dropped on the floor. He doesn’t give a shit.

Him and Steve steal snacks from the gas station all the time and just go into the back closet and gorge themselves

Soda is either a laughably awful singer or he has a beautiful voice. No in betweens

He walks around his house shirtless constantly like he’s gods giving gift (he kinda is but Pony and Darry get tired of it)

If you think he’s a bad cuddler when he’s awake just wait until he’s asleep. You’re not getting out of his grasp once he’s asleep. Don’t even try. You’re stuck in bed for the night.

He gets hella bloated after eating and he’s mortified by it

He loves listening to music because it helps him focus on smaller things but then he gets distracted

He is the best pillow in the world. He has the softest tummy you could ever imagine (also the loudest though unfortunately)

His insults are actually really creative and nobody expects it from him

He will put eat a steakhouse in a matter of minutes if you set him down and told him to go crazy

We all know he has a skincare routine (or he would if they could afford that shit)

Sometimes he feels like he’s the glue of the three brothers and if he takes a wrong step they’re all gonna fall apart

He gets a golden retriever when he’s moved out and definitely names it Pepsi-Cola or something

Hurt/Comfort:

You can absolutely tell when Pony is upset. He does NOT have. sooner face lmao

He prefers to be reassured by his brothers over anything else because it’s easier for him to gauge that they actually mean what they say

Boy is a stress eater-one time Darey came home and Pony had eaten an entire cake by himself and was absolutely miserable

He usually tends to gorge himself in meals but when he’s anxious it’s hella different

All three Curtis brothers are stress eaters ngl but Soda is by far the worst

Pony doesnt sleep when he’s anxious. He just sits there awake with his thoughts

He has VIOLENT panic attacks-if you try to touch him and you aren’t a member of the gang have fun with that broken nose of yours

He doesn’t mean it but he will scream at you to not touch him if you go to

Pony is a pretty crier but his panic attacks tend to get ugly

He tends to hit himself when he gets anxious too :( Darry has had to restrain him on more than one occasion because he was seriously scared Pony would hurt himself

The aftermath is a bunch of sniffles and hiccups. He doesn’t talk much before or after a panic attack and it takes effort to get him to open up bai ut what’s wrong

Absolutely will not cry in public. No matter of it’s late at night and he’s alone or not. He’s too scared someone will come by and he wants to look tuff

Darry will hold him while Soda massages his belly to ease his anxious tummy (or to help him digest the morbid amount of food he eats when stressed) and they’ll either address what’s wrong or they’ll distract Pony by talking about something they know he likes

Soda is the same way tbh but it’s because he thinks he shouldn’t be allowed to cry

You can always tell when Soda is upset because he doesn’t eat (canon in the book) and he’s also and normally quiet

He locks himself in his room when he’s upset because he doesn’t wanna burden Darry and he thinks because Pony os his little brother he isn’t allowed to be comforted by him

He had many breakdowns over Sandy and lashed out a lot after because he really loved her and he was furious with her and himself

He kind of shuts down and will just stare ahead at nothing when he’s upset and it’s more unsettling because he’s not moving. He’s not playing with his fingers or bouncing his leg. He just looks completely out of it as he sits still

He gets headaches a lot when he’s anxious and will usually turn in early and that’s even more unusual since he’s a night owl and usually restless at night

But all it takes is a hug and he breaks down completely

Darry came home from work once and literally just hugged Soda as a greeting and Soda started bawling into his chest

He mumbles a lot when he cries too, it’s kinda sad

It doesn’t take long to calm him down-a cuddle session from his brothers is all he needs before he’s satisfied again

As soon as he’s done crying he’s just like “can we have dinner now”

Darry is really stoic when he’s upset

You can always tell because his eyes get a lot colder and harder when something is bothering him

He always denies anything being wrong because he’s supposed to be strong and stable but Pony and Soda constantly asking him gets him to explode

Hes just like “YOU WANNA KNOW WHATS WRONG?!” and then goes into a rant about everything that happened

Pony and Soda just learned to listen because Darry doesn’t exactly want reassurance all the time, he just wants to vent

He paces a lot when he’s ranting too and uses his hands an awful lot to talk

If something is REALLY bad they can kinda tell he may need a good cry because his voice constantly cracks and he swallows a lot more and small thing like that

Pony and Soda work with him post book to just have a good cry every once in a while because it doesn’t mean he’s any less than, it just means he needs to let it out sometimes

Soda always gives him back rubs after because the tension from the anxiety gets to him. Pony just talks to him because Pony has a way with words

All three of them enjoy cuddling though and when one is upset, the other two are absolutely making a cuddle puddle where the anxious one is in the middle and the other two just hold onto the person in the middle

Q: Will we be able to change the wall height in build mode at the start of early access? A: Yes, you will

Q: For jobs uniform, are the same uniforms applied to everyone or can we set different uniforms per job title? Example a chef having a chef outfit and wait staff having their own black outfits. A: Yes Uniforms can be set for different roles within a job and per title!

Q: Can we have the ability own more than one lot (Primary, Vacation, Business, etc) A: Not at the start of Early Access. We're definitely exploring 'real estate management' part of the game. We recognize builders are a huge part of the life sim community and tying in building to gameplay is a key goal.

Q: I would like to return to past question about attraction as I didn't fully understand it - is there plan for separated sexual and romantic orientation? A: At the start of Early Access, we do seperate gender from body type. We currently do not separate sexual from romantic but this is a good suggestion we will look at during Early Access. Thank you!

Q: What kinds of social events can we expect on the launch of early access? A: Through the in-game mobile phone, you can set up Birthday Parties, Weddings, House Parties, Housewarming, Beach Party, etc. You can also arrange to go on Dates.

Q: adding on to @ Simday1 question. Will LBY support terrain editors like Atlas or Gaia for world making? A: We will be evaluating even more region-editing during Early Access. That decision will be informed by the roll out of region-to-region travel.

Can we make it look like buildings are touching each other? Can we put lots on different Z levels above/below other lots? A: Yes, we have some experiments internally with terrace housing. Q: Can we change the Delivery Van? I want that retro black van I saw on the car dealership video. A: Currently, no. But that should be an easy thing for us to add to the modding list during Early Access. Good suggestion, thank you!

Q: Can the character we are currently playing, be invited to a wedding by a character we are currently not playing, so that we can attend as a guest? A: Yes! You can even setup a wedding for a story and play each character by right clicking on them any time if you wish. Combine this will entering your own dialog live as you play and you can make an entire unique wedding experience/ story.

Q: In regards to the demographic creator, will it be possible to set a demographic as joinable or not joinable? What I mean is, if you have a demographic of say goths or vampires (or some kind of social group), it would make sense for it to be possible for a character to become part of that demographic through gameplay....on the other hand if the demographic is say a Latino demographic, it wouldn't make sense for characters to be able to join that demographic through gameplay. A: It's not currently possible, though that may be possible through "Traits" which you can set as rewards for quests. This wouldn't change their appearance, but it would be able to add other things like Needs adjustments.

Q: Is the team thinking of adding free placement for tattoos, beauty marks,piercings,etc.? A: You can freely move a tattoo placement within their specific "body region" like torso = all over the torso, arms = all over the arms, beauty marks all over the face.

Jungkook is what people call a social butterfly; friendly with everyone, outgoing, charismatic. And you’re 100% sure his ex-girlfriend, Jihyun, would agree. You don’t hate the girl - she is a very talented kpop idol like Jungkook and you are, but you’re not supposed to like your partner’s ex, right? Or get along with them, in other cases.

Working for a different company has taken a toll already on your relationship with Jeon. It all started back in January at an after-party. Your company had very strict rules for all of their idols to prevent any fake relationship scandals. If you wanted to be friends with someone from another company, demonstrations of affection were entirely out of the picture, let alone hanging out together. So when Jungkook approached you that night, stating that he didn’t care about your company’s rules, you had decided to say “fuck it”, too - with alcohol in your system it was simple - and agreed to go out for coffee with him. In spite of that, you were practically forced to follow the rules your companies had set - not allowing you to be seen in public and arranging your “work meeting” somewhere else.

If it was difficult once, it became even more difficult when the connection between you two started growing and you wanted to date. Things became progressively better with time, the restrictions your company had set were slowly becoming less strict, and some were forgotten. Yet, 5 months into your relationship and you’ve been seen with Jungkook less than 7 times, even if now everyone knows about your relationship.

In the same way it has always been, you both had gotten a lot of hate; why were both of you dating people from other companies? What if that caused Jungkook to drop Big Hit and join your company? That hate felt almost one-sided. But there was love, too - two of the most powerful dancers and vocalists in a relationship, the adorable size difference… Head high and heart in hand, you pushed through and your relationship kept growing.

The thing you really can’t seem to get past is the rumors. All kinds of rumors. One month it’s Jungkook “crying” on stage because you broke up, next month your company releasing you because of your relationship with him, and so on.

But this month’s rumor has to be the worst - with the most terrible timing. Jungkook, three other K-pop idols, and you had been called to make a performance together for the MAMAs, something people weren’t expecting. He was more than excited since BTS’s schedule was finally freer, therefore leaving space for him to fit it into his agenda. The group’s energy and nervousness were high during the last week of rehearsals. There was a plan B, plan C, plan D even, for any emergency. 

So the last thing you needed the day of the awards was for your boyfriend to be seen with his ex-girlfriend on the red carpet - going to the extent of taking pictures together. People were starting to doubt your relationship - once again - due to the lack of times you’ve been seen together, thinking it is forced or to benefit your companies.

“Have you seen the pictures of Jeon and Jihyun tonight, Miss Y/N?” A reporter’s question resounds between the millions of questions being thrown at you.

Do not stop smiling, Y/N. You’ll give them something to talk about. 

Redirecting your focus to another person behind the cameras asking you to pose, you wink towards the camera and decide it’s enough, grabbing the tail of your dress and walking to the entrance of the building. When you’re out of sight, you lose the facade and groan, walking faster to locate your backstage area. The performance is one of the first to start the show - when you locate the area, you are immediately pulled in by the makeup artists so they can help you get into your outfit.

You know he’s already in the building. If the screams weren’t indicator enough, both your manager and Seohyun telling you that Jungkook is looking for you finish breaking the news. You brush both of them off with a “thanks, I’ll go to where he is”, but stay on your side of the stage. The performance is bound to start in 7 minutes…more than enough time for you to go talk to Jeon, but you don’t want to. Putting one airpod in, you play your performance’s track to rehearse a bit, lightly marking every step. 

“Why are you so good even if you’re just marking?” A voice you recognize as belonging to your boyfriend speaks behind you.

Acting as if you can’t hear him, you replay the song and begin marking the steps again. This time, you do it with more intensity - nervousness has started to creep in. It’s the first time in a while you have been on stage with other idols and the expectations are high. They are all practically aces.

“You know I can see you only have one airpod in, right babe?” 

Fuck. Pressing your lips together, you turn to him and give him a weak smile, followed by a shrug. The couple of minutes left you have start breathing on your shoulder. You hear the performance before yours finishing, you turn off your airpod and hand it to your assistant, same with your phone.

“Hi. Aren’t you supposed to be on the other side of the stage already?” you respond coldly, shrugging your sweater off. 

It’s clear Jungkook isn’t expecting this attitude from you. You’re never like this, no matter the amount of anxiousness you are experiencing - normally sweet yet straight to the point so you don’t get distracted. He’s expecting you’ll reply to your assistant with the same biting tone when she asks you if you’re going to let your hair down, but when you reply with the sweetness he’s used to, he knows he fucked up. But he doesn’t know why.

When the time for him to go to his side of the stage arrives, he asks your assistant to walk with him to interrogate her and see if he can get any information. She seems pretty nervous - why is Jeon Jungkook talking to her? Who should she obey? He’s in a rush; if she spills the tea, she has to be brief. It’s with a long sigh and shaky hands that she lets him know the reason you’re upset.

“She saw the pictures of you and Ms. Jihyun on the red carpet. She has been on edge this week since there have been many rumors regarding your relationship… on top of that, there are people asking her if you broke up, who dumped who - and when she denies it, some people have the nerve to say things like ‘and you’re supposed to perform with him after that encounter?’ ‘sucks to be you’.”

He’s screwed. God, he’s such an idiot. He is not supposed to avoid Jihyun, it has never been an issue. But today? Yeah, today should have been an exception. He had heard about the rumors, yes. 

You two hadn't had a chance to speak about them, or even dispel them by being seen together.

After he thanks your assistant, he is ushered to his spot on the side of the stage where he has to wait until his part, which is right before yours. Going through the steps in his head, he hopes with all he can that the performance turns out the way it’s supposed to - no accidents, no visible tension between you two, especially on that last bit where everyone will dance together and you have a small section with him.

Jackson’s piece was amazing. You cheer for him from your spot backstage and then the lights go down so they can transition from Jackson to Jungkook. You’re proud of him, of course, but the tight feeling in your chest won’t go away no matter what. You try to tell yourself it’s nervousness and not that - knowing Jihyun is in the audience cheering for your boyfriend and how that will make the rumors grow more.

“Grin and bear, it’ll be over soon and you can talk it out,” you tell yourself, focusing on how good of a dancer Jungkook is, while also being ready to step on stage the second you’re told to. 

His part is coming to an end, so you step on your stage mark where the lights are still down, and get in position, back turned to the crowd and surrounded by a couple of backup dancers. The moment the music starts, you forget about all the tension from earlier. It’s just you and the rhythm. The swaying of your hips, the musicality you carry, the way your body flows freely and powerfully earn you loud cheering. In the last piece of your choreography, you turn to face the right side and roll your hips to the beat of the music, gesturing with your hands to the crowd to be louder, finishing with the ending pose.

“Grin and bear, it’s almost over…” You whisper to yourself again as the lights are turned off and redirected to the final member, Jungwon. 

After his part, your section with Jungkook comes. The chemistry is always present and you hope it doesn’t seem forced after what happened. Dancing together may not be enough to completely clear off the rumors, but it’ll help. Shaking these thoughts off, you put your game face on and start strutting towards him, following the beat of the music. You’re pretty sure there’s a tiny scowl on your face because even if the crowd can’t see his expression, he seems frozen. You face the crowd and wink, then turn to him with a smirk and pull him by the collar where you sway together as the intro of the choreography.

He seems briefly relieved when you’re dancing all over him. But it hits him right then and there: you’re still pissed, and you’re just doing it for the crowd.

In the last seconds of the dance, Jungkook grabs your waist and pulls you back to him, like at the beginning of your section together. As you begrudgingly stare at him with pure love, despite your irritation, he grins lightly since he has to be discreet, and the music comes to an end seconds later. That - apparently - pulls you out of your trance; you pull away from him once your ending fairy is long enough. A bit breathless, you push your hair back and walk backstage, not waiting for Jungkook. The few people wandering around can sense you’re pissed - the few words of encouragement your ears are able to pick up are muttered in a shy, restrained tone. The door’s handle is within reach, but before you’re able to pull on it, someone grabs it and stops you from opening it.

“Uh, are you looking for your dressing room? This one’s mine…” 

The words die in your throat once you turn around and realize your boyfriend is the one holding the handle, looking mad but blue at the same time. He is having second thoughts about something - he won’t let go of the door’s handle. You know him better than you know yourself, so it doesn’t take you by surprise when he hugs you tightly after you give him a meek nod and loosen your grip on the handle. 

“We need to talk.” Both of you mumble at the same time, your words followed by a quiet giggle. 

“Please, my darling, you go first. I want to know what’s going on in that pretty head of yours so we can talk it through.”

You try to ignore the butterflies in your stomach. Your boyfriend has always been very considerate and respectful of whatever it is that you’re feeling. Organizing your thoughts, you clear your throat. 

“I saw the pictures of you and your ex tonight… So imagine my reaction when everyone starts talking about you and your ex on the red carpet while I had to go in by myself. And it hurts because we are rarely seen with each other because you are afraid of all the hate I'll get. But, Jungkook,” you step closer to him and grab his face with both hands, gently. 

“I believe our love is bigger than that hate, and we will be able to push through. I would love for everyone to know about us more than the basic ‘oh yeah they’re together, we haven’t heard any news about them breaking up’. I want people to never doubt our love, give them reasons not to…” You trail off, the crack in your voice noticeable enough and not allowing you to keep going.

“I imagined that would be the problem. I know I fucked up, my love. My most sincere apologies, I didn’t think it would be misinterpreted. But I think of it now and the media manipulates shit and creates a totally different story. Jihyun is a good friend of mine and you know it, we discussed it. But I should prioritize you.” 

He hasn’t stopped looking at you. He does this whenever he wants his message to really go through. Tears leave your eyes without a warning, and you direct your gaze to the floor, at which Jungkook tsks.

“Hey, no… Look at me with those beautiful eyes. That little look you gave me on stage, while I had you in my arms? Fuck, it was so hard for me to keep dancing and not take your breath away with a kiss. Then you looked all angry at me, and I knew right then and there I’d do everything I could to have you never look at me like that again.” 

Standing on your tiptoes, you kiss him, hard. He’s taken aback by it, but he doesn’t hold back and kisses you back with all of his might. When you kiss, you feel as if you can touch and see the stars even with your eyes closed. Lips made to connect with each other, yet every kiss feels different, brand new.

He steps back after a while, reluctantly. You are leaning in to kiss him again, but he stops you with his words.

“Sure thing, angel. Let’s give them what they’ve been wanting to see.”

You feel the change that night. It's not just you and Jungkook, by yourselves - you walk hand-in-hand to the car that will take you to your hotel room since you’ve decided to skip the afterparty.
