I wanted to drop by and tell you that I love you. No matter what happens I am glad you're still here on tumblr. Your absence is always felt :') Thank you for sharing your ideas and lovely fics with us!

Thank you, dear anon. It’s been difficult to focus since finishing DALDOM and I don’t have the spirit I used to (which is normal, life ebbs and flows). My love for my faves hasn’t faded but being here, on tumblr, has its pitfalls when parts of modern fandom are very fickle.

I’m always around, just not always present, as many can attest to. I will probably never be active in the ways I used to be but this blog won’t be going anywhere.

okay but i've seen over $20 being charged for a single icon border. as a creator who ALSO makes content for the rpc, i get charging & i'm 100% behind people charging money for their work. however, i think it's okay to recognise that there are definitely some overcharging trends in the rpc. in 2019, a creator i was friends with was charging $1 per psd. now she charges $5-10 for the same quality psd. she even updated her deviant art to change her past $1 psds to $5-10. i don't think it's crazy to point out that a large portion of "trendy" content in the rpc is behind a paywall.

like $20 is insane, but like it's really none of my business. every time i make resources i wake up to 47 messages about discourse about charging or not charging, overpricing (i've never made templates for over $10, and even so, it was because i hand coded a bunch of stuff, everything else was max $5), this guy did that or whatever and like i don't even carrreeeee because at the end of the day you really can just move on and ignore it. my other problem is, i really don't feel compelled to take part in discourse that includes using "classism" and "gentrification" so loosely, because these are words with a LOT of weight, and i've experienced both in my personal life. like sure, call out the overpricing in the rpc if you want, i just really, really am not the guy to try and talk to about it. i just get on here, spam the dash with templates and shitposts and leave. my rp bubble is very small, i stay away from discourse, because at the day it's exhausting, and i also think it's weird to go into a random creator's inbox and complain about other people but that's just me.

my take though is i think this is a product of treating the rpc as part of this secret club that only accepts people with very specific aesthetics and it's just always kinda been like that. i've been in the rpc since i was like 10 (which probably altered my frontal lobe too much) and i've seen the shift from trends, from glee to marvel, to everything, and i definitely felt like i was being left out because i didn't know how to use photoshop, let alone afford that. but i also i was like 14 and had no business on here anyways. i've seen a lot of people shift back to just basic text + color schemes and it makes my heart happy. do what you want with your graphics and aesthetics, i really don't care, but i do feel so much less pressure on myself when i'm not striving for aesthetic perfection.

but my advice for people is to just seek out free resources more often. @freesources is a great place to start, @ariapsds makes some of my fave psds for free. both make on par, actually better quality than stuff behind paywalls. you just gotta find the right places. focus on that, and you're golden.

why did you choose your url?

- me and emily made this blog together and we had been obsessed with the song and even made a little playlist for it that mostly ended up just being our favorite driving through the country songs. anyways we were like YES let’s see if it’s open and it WAS so we snatched it. she’s moved to another blog now but i still love the url!

- me and em were into the cottage core thing a bunch when it first came out and thus made a blog for it but i have tried to move away from it as a blog theme

1. why did you choose your url?

coepi te amare means i have begun to love you in latin. i first heard it from a rixythewraith ff with double b and i’ve used it in a lot of things ever since.

i feel a lot. i’m not just going to reblog things for the sake of reblogging, especially when i’m not educated on the topic and could be spreading false information. when i think it’s important, i’m going to do my research and educate myself. i do understand the importance of signal boosting, so i can understand where the “you NEED to reblog” part comes from, but at the end of the day, social media is also (especially tumblr) a form of escape. let people have whatever blogs they want, as long as they’re not hurting or harming anyone.

1. why did you choose your url?

at first, i had it as my youtube name and then my name on archive of our own, and then i decided i wanted to keep everything pretty much the same and changed my url on here to it. the reason behind it is simply that i think there's a lot of places to find joy in the world, and finding it in small things and things you don't expect is really magical.

nope, we post all our hyperfixations and shitposts on main and die like men

my first one i started it because i was very involved in one direction at the time and i wanted to look at posts and make my own. this one i made because i was HIGHLY embarrassed of my first one and wanted to start posting out the fosters when i got into that. though, now there are definitely posts on here from way back that i'm embarrassed of sdfsdjf

antania showed me hers first and i told her how much i loved it, so she offered to make me one! i chose robbe and yasmina because they're two of my comfort characters and it ended up working out pretty well. very grateful to antania for making it for me since i lack gif-making skills and was gonna settlle for a simple black header with bi-colored hearts sjfddjsf

this tiktok i posted about the broerrrs. and honestly? fair, nothing i've ever said or done will top the hilarity of that
