⸻   flashing   lights   shoot   across   the   dance   floor   filled   to   the   brim   ,   harvard   welcome   week   brought   with   it   ,   new   pledges   .   but   also   ,   his   fraternity   duties   .   breathed   into   a   new   role   ,   now   in   his   senior   year   .   though   ,   he’d   long   ditched   the   pleasantries   in   favor   of   reacquainting   himself   with   a   familiar   face   .   last   party   they’d   been   to   ,   they’d   agreed   to   steer   clear   of   one   another   .   not   that   he’d   cared   in   the   first   place   ,   but   she’d   done   so   with   the   interests   of   her   brother   (   his   best   friend   )   in   mind   .   respectable   ,   yet   not   desired   .   which   is   particularly   why   he’d   done   the   opposite   ,   and   five   shots   in   ,   his   clear   desire   hadn’t   faltered   in   the   slightest   .   hungry   gaze   drinking   in   features   .   ❝   you   know   ,   i’ve   been   telling   you   that   you’re   the   prettiest   girl   i   know   for   a   long   time   now   .   ❞   broad   shoulders   shrugged   .   ❝   should   probably   make   good   on   that   reassurance   some   day   …   ❞

his  eyes  lift  from  the  book  set  before  him  on  the  desk.  a  soft  smile  forms  when  he  sees  ariel  peeking  around  the  slightly  cracked  open  door  to  his  study.  relieved  to  see  it's  her  and  not  someone  who  would  scold  him  for  not  getting  his  rest  or  spending  too  much  time  in  his  study  once  more.  he  gives  a  single  nod  of  his  head.  ❛  i  had,  but  i  couldn't  sleep.  i  thought  maybe  a  little  reading  would  help.  has  it  already  been  an  hour?  ❜  a  soft  laugh  slips  from  his  lips  as  he  waves  a  hand  gesturing  for  her  to  come  join  him.  ❛  i  may  have  gotten  a  little  too  engrossed  in  this  book.  ❜  his  eyebrows  furrow  gently  then  before  a  smile  returns  to  his  features.  ❛  and  what  are  you  still  doing  awake?  ❜  he  questions  lightly,  almost  teasingly.

Taking a seat next to Taylor on the couch in the tv room, he puts an arm around her shoulders casually. "So, what are we watching?" He asks, turning his head to grin at her. "I'm not interrupting anything, am I?"

In total, 32 bands will be at the Næstved Metalfest 2024 spread over three stages and three days. The final program and schedule will be announced in March.

nightmares racked peeta's mind tonight , never the same but always deluded with visions the capitol forced into his brain. even though he was safe now the memories threaten to stay with him forever. there were a few failed attempts to fall back asleep but to no avail , soon choosing to make his way to the kitchen , his hands now kneading at the dough on the counter. baking was a mindless activity for peeta , the recipes ingrained in the back of his mind from a young age. it was nice , no thoughts: yeast , sugar , water , milk , butter , flour , salt. easy to remember , his skilled hands making quick work of it.

as the dough is set in a bowl and covered peeta's attention is turned towards the hall , hearing the sound of someone stirring. " did i wake you ? " his tone apologetic as a half smile is shown to katniss. " i was planning on surprising you with cinnamon bread when you got up. it's not even close to ready yet though. "

❛  before  i  answer  that,  just  remember  it  was  your  mother's  idea.  ❜  his  attempt  to  appear  serious,  thwarted  by  the  sheepish  way  the  the  words  had  left  his  mouth.  yes,  he  and  ariel  had  both  agreed  they'd  feel  better  knowing  sebastian  was  keeping  an  eye  on  melody,  but  melody  didn't  need  to  know  that.  both  he  and  ariel  knew  first  hand  the  trouble  teenagers  could  get  up  to,  having  been  adventurous ( to  put  it  lightly )  in  their  younger  years  and  melody  had  inherited  both  her  parents'  spirit.  but  with  sebastian's  supervision  their  fears  of  melody  getting  into  trouble,  or  danger,  were  somewhat  quelled.  eric's  face  scrunches  a  bit  as  he  finally  answers  his  daughter's  question.  ❛  sebastian  told  me  where  to  find  you.  ❜
