so, Ive been seeing these cute jjk, textless comics about the fushiguro family and it made me want to do the same with adashi cause it's been a while since I drew them + I'm back on the Voltron hell train (and I'm taking you with me)

One of my favorite shadam hc is that prior to the whole kerberos stuff, Adam and Shiro had their own place to come home to and would only go to the garrison for work - and that at some point, they got Keith his own room at their apartment so that he could sleep there on weekends and holidays, and eventually they started thinking about adopting him but space dad got lost in space before it coule actually happen -

I got a whole comic idea for that last bit so maybe later after the "Room for two" one is finished, who knows 🤷🏾‍♀️

Who would sleep in the top bunk and who would sleep in the bottom bunk for romellura klance and shadam because i have opinions

i have no clue what context this is within where they're somehow sleeping on bunk beds instead of shared beds, however this is the only top/bottom discourse im here for so here's how it'd go:

romellura - romelle sleeps on the bottom bunk bc that girl is an absolutely chaotic sleeper and would definitely end up falling off if she took the top bunk lol. plus, allura is royalty, ofc romelle insists that she takes the higher ground

klance - they fight almost to the death over who gets the top bunk and eventually end up sharing the bed out of stubbornness

adashi - shiro takes the bottom bunk, passing it off as him "letting" adam take the top, however it's actually because he's more worried about the bed collapsing and crushing adam if he'd slept on the bottom bunk than he is about adam somehow falling off, and we're all aware of takashi's protective instinct

im still not over voltron, so here are some of my head canons for the characters. 

part 1, part 2 (?)

first off, the main seven’s pronouns, sexualities, and overall romantic types:

- lance: he/they, he's not opposed to exploring his femininity and after learning that pidge is non-binary, he started to questions his identity and realized that gender is a societal construct that can fuck off. they’re my gender queer child. he's also bi. he doesn't necessarily have a preference when it comes to men or women or anything in between, so but they do see gender when they are thinking of dating someone, and it does play a role in his romantic decisions to some extent. 

 -keith: he/him, our local trans man, and he's homoromantic and demisexual. he's never had any experience ever when it comes to relationships, so it took him a long time to realize if what he's feeling towards men was gender envy or romantic/sexual desire (cough cough relatable). he does eventually settle on a label, and he'd pretty cool with that. post season 8, he'd start being more ok with exploring his femininity in a way that doesn't make him feel dysphoric. so what im saying is that post canon keith would totally wear makeup, crop tops, and skirts bc he can (lance probably helps him with this bc by the time keith starts being ok with this stuff, lance has already been out and proud about their gender queer-ness for quite some time. he's also a very good bf/partner) 

-pidge: they/them, non-binary, sapphic-romantic (is that a term??? idk, i'm trying my best tho i promise. basically, theyre romantically attracted to women), definitely asexual though. didn't really know/realize they were non-binary until they got to the garrison bc when they cut their hair and started using a gender neutral name that they realized that the uncomfy-ness they've been feeling all their life has been to do with their gender. so then they come out to the voltron crew as being non-binary in place of when its revealed to the crew that they’re katie. this then spurs the gender conversation with allura and coran, both of which have no concept of gender bc their aliens so why would they, and its all chill. they also help lance a lot with his gender crisis.

- hunk: he/him, cis man, pansexual. not much to say about him, he's just a super loving guy whose lowkey always having a pan-panic bc he thinks a ton of people are so attractive and it's terrifying. he also has anxiety™️, but i think that's a given. 

-shiro: he/him, trans man, this is one of the main reasons that he and keith bonded so much when they met, bc shiro was a very out and proud trans bi man, and keith respected him a lot for that (also gender envy™). shiro's bisexual, bc shallura is a really good ship, but shadam is also chefs kiss. 

-allura: ALIENS HAVE NO CONCEPT OF GENDER. so she uses she/they/its, mainly she/her, but they/its is pretty cool with them. i'm not gonna stray too far into neo-pronouns with the aliens bc i figure that their pronouns in their language are equivalized to something earth people can understand (bc of translators), plus i don't know enough about neo pronouns to get too into it, but yeah, allura is genderqueer, get over it. allura is also queer, bC LIKE I SAID, ALIENS HAVE NO CONCEPT OF GENDER BC WE GOT SCAMMED BY LIVING ON EARTH. so basically anyone they find romantically/sexually attractive is on the table.  

-coran: he/they, they're cool with with any pronouns tbh, but he/they is their main preference. coran coran the gorgeous man(?) is queer, and he definitely married to someone and had a child before the fall of altea, but that's besides the point bc the family would have perished anyways. oR CORAN WAS IN LOVE WITH ALLURA'S DAD, ALFOR, BUT WE'RE NOT GETTING INTO THAT RIGHT NOW.

Gorma Tribe

An ancient tribe that has existed for over 8000 years, who began a war with the two other tribes, including the Dai tribe, and 6000 years ago fought with the original Dairangers. Through the power of "Yo" they received a 3rd Eye. Infighting destoryed much of the aristocracy, leaving only a few leaders, more insane the higher their standing. They have resurfaced in the 20th century to fulfill their ambitions.

The Gorma soldiers are the Cotpotros. Every Gorma Kaijin is based on an object and holds some unique title. On defeat they are revived as giants by means of a magic grenade.

Major Zydos is the physically strongest of the Gorma triumvirate, able to manipulate Yo power for various dangerous spells, and is the superior of the 3 Gorma Stooges

Lieutenant Colonel Gara is the second in command of the Gorma Triumvirate, originally of the Dai Tribe, she turned against them due to a perceived betrayal by Kujaku, leading to her eventual imprisonment of Kujaku, a rivalry that is restarted in the present day when Kujaku is freed.

Lieutenant Colonel Shadam is the leader of the Gorma Triumvirate. A schemer, he seeks to become the true leader of the Gorma.

General Tenpou is the Emperor's right hand man, and guardian to Akomaru

The Son of Shadam, Akomaru is in fact ranked higher than him and seeks to take command of the operations on earth, aided by the Three Ladies. He takes an interest in Kou, aiming to destroy or corrupt him.

The Gorma Emperor XV rules over the Gorma, possessing but maddened by the Earth-Shaking Jewel. He is aware of, and tries to manage, Shadam's goals.

Matoba Jin, a master of Demon Beast martial arts, obsessed with defeating Ryo agrees to be empowered by Zydos. However, he refuses to be controlled by Gorma and fights for his own ends.

Siding neither with the Dai not the Gorma, and intending to destroy the earth if their conflict is not stopped due to the disturbance it causes to the universe, Daijinryu will destroy anyone it deems necessary to eliminate for the sake of balance.

I wrote this story right after season 8, because I thought it was a terribly unsatisfying ending after all the build-up we got in earlier seasons, and I know I’m not the only one. Our beloved characters were done dirty. So I’ve decided to change some things and rewrite the ending. I never had time for a thorough reread and corrections, but then, more than a year later, the lockdown provided me with more free time than I bargained for, and now I’m finally ready to publish.

The story takes off around the S7 ending, then moves on towards the S8 ending, and continues a couple of years afterwards (but before the “canon” wedding of Shiro and Curtis).

Oh, and by the way, I never liked Curtis, so be warned. I can’t stand how one of the main characters got married to someone we barely know, without any build-up. I might have come to like him if we’d gotten a chance to get to know him – but now it feels like he stole our main character from us.

Allura was also kinda wronged? Her character started off inherently hating Galra and quick to jump to the worst conclusion about them. What Lotor did was shitty af, but the way Allura handled that entire situation invalidated her growth from hating Galra for being Galra. If she had properly grown as a character and the writers/showrunners actually showed that, she maybe would have reacted differently to SHOW it, to show that growth. This is just my personal opinion, the situation might have ended up the same either way, but i dont like how it was handled.

Call me a Klance fan for hating on the show but i am never going to get over or forgive this; KLANCE WAS WRONGED AND WE WERE FUCKING BAITED. I feel like many Klance fans wouldnt be as bitter as we are now if only we werent fucken BAITED

Which reminds me; how is it good rep to show us Shadam, and we only know it's Shadam from the comic-con because it is not even PROPERLY PORTRAYED IN THE SHOW ITSELF that this is a gay relationship which could/would have been construed as roommates/friends NOT LOVERS, kill Adam so that so that we know little to nothing about him, then AT THE END OF THE SHOW pair Shiro with someone, again, we have little to no connection to? I feel like Dreamworks or whoeverthefuck was trying to squeeze too much rep into one single character, with Shiro being Japanese, disabled, mentally scarred from his trauma, oh and also gay but still a great role model. Look, i have no problem with Shiro being any and all of the above, but as has been mentioned by others, they relied too much on our love for Shiro, and tried to fit in too much rep in a single character when it could have been evenly spaces out between all or more than (1) one of them.

You know something ain't being done right when a plethora of fanon is lightyears better than canon. Again, dont get me wrong, i do love the story of vld, BUT that does not excuse the smell of the stanky shit they pulled multiple times.

As someone who identifies being both demisexual and bisexual (demibi? Because apparently demigay Keith is a thing which just hurts now), i am sorely disappointed by, and hurt by voltron. The show isnt even bad! Its a good fucking story with good characters, a number of whom were utterly wasted. I think the whole mess vld derailed into in later seasons could have been avoided if they just didnt try for any romantic angles. Because, as they said, this is a show for 7-12 year old boys. Do you really think boys that age give an actual shit about romance.

Do you guys who read fanfics notice there is no 'fix-it' fics for the first 3 seasons? Those only turned up season 4 onwards. Does that say something? Hm...

I am just so angry and SAD and disappointed with THIS being the end to our journey with voltron. Just what the fuck. I know there's the comics but it's kind of not the same? And after what happened with the show i am wary about the comics now too.

So we know a lot about Keith and the other paladins backrounds, but not as much about Shiro’s. Here are some Shiro background headcannons. There is some cannon time period Shadam in this but the endgame will be Sheith. No Curtis Whatshisname in sight.

Mostly raised by his grandfather who he called Pawaw. (No I’m totally not projecting my own grandad because I miss him). His parents were in high school when they had him. He doesn’t remember his dad because when he was 2 his dad just left, his only excuse being he wasn’t ready for a kid.

He barely remembers his mom, she had the same muscle disease he had and she died when he was 5.. But Pawaw was always there for him. So was grandma Mimi but she died from a heart attack when he was 7.

He grew up in Minnesota, liked playing ice hockey and figurscating and other ice sports. Loved playing in the snow, making igloos and snowmen and snow angels and snowball fights. At least when he wasn’t sick or in the hospital or during treatments.

He’d always been fascinated with space, ever since that basic second grade astronomy class, he was eager to learn more. Read every astronomy or astrology or anything about astronauts or space/air craft book he could get his hands on.

Pawpaw supported him about being an astronaut when he was younger but he was sure as he grew up Shiro would pick a more sensible career, something at least physically possible considering his condition. But nope Shiro continued with the astronaut fantasy.

It broke both their hearts when Pawpaw told Shiro he couldn’t be an astronaut. Shiro was 14 just about to start high school. Shiro wouldn’t take no for an answer, insisted he always destined to see the stars. Pawpaw just wanted to protect him from getting hurt. Shiro argued back that he could protect himself just fine.

Shiro learned how to manage his disability better, doing those daily timed exercises, keeping himself healthy. The more time went on the more progress he made. Pawpaw was surprised but very proud of him. Maybe his son-er grandson-could follow his dreams and be an astronaut after all.

When Shiros 16 right before his junior year of high school, Pawpaw finally agrees to fly to Texas with him to try out the Garrison simulator, and if things go well apply to the boarding school. Shiro’s flying ability reaches off the charts and he breaks most of the simulation’s records.

They go back home to Minnesota for a couple more weeks to bond before Shiro has to pack up and leave for good. They know they’ll see each other again next summer but it feels like letting go. Shiro’s following his dreams and going places, Pawpaw’s watching his son-ehem grandson sorry-leave the nest and fly off on his own.

Shiro became particularly fond of one of the younger teachers, Adam. They got along well together, in a mentor/mentee sort of way. Shiro graduated the primary cadet training with flying colors and continued his studies. The more time passed Adam became less of a mentor and more of a friend. They were equals now, both adults, same rank, working together.

The more time Shiro and Adam spend working together the closer they get. Eventually they can’t deny they’re feelings for each other anymore and start going out. Shiro feels on top of the world like nothing can bring him down. Everything is going right in his life for once. He tries calling Pawpaw a few times to tell him but he never answered. Shiro figures he’s just busy and he’d call again in the morning.

So of course when Shiro gets an invite to his grandpas funeral instead of a phone call-who he didn’t even know was dead, didn’t even know something was wrong-he was a absolutely devastated. Adam being the great boyfreind that he is offered to accompany Shiro back to Minnesota, so he wouldn’t be alone.

Shiro doesn’t remember much about going home or attending the funeral. It feels unreal, like a bad dream that he’s about to wake up from any second. His only solace is Adam comforting him from time to time. Adam is if the only thing keeping him sane.

It takes Shiro a couple months to fully process this. Pawpaw’s gone. He’s really gone. He’d always seemed so indistructable, immortal. Shiro couldn’t comprehend that he could just simply die from natural causes, the circle of life. The guilt almost crushed him. The guilt of not realizing something was wrong, the guilt of not being able to do anything to help, the guilt of not even saying goodbye almost crushed him.

But he couldn’t afford to be crushed. He had responsibilities. He had to be completely focused on his studies, flying, training, keeping himself in top shape, spending his well deserved breaks with Adam. Working was the number one thing to keep him distracted. And spending time with Adam of course.

A year later they put Shiro in charge of chaperoning a simulation at a local high school. One kid-Shiro later learned his name was Keith-made it all the way to level 15, which had never been done by any other cadet student. Keith broke every record. EVERY record, even the ones that had currently belonged to Shiro. He didn’t know how Keith could even focus with the gaggle of classmates chattering around him, some cheering him on, others berating him or complaining that he was taking too long and it was their turn.

Shiro asked the teacher what Keith’s name is and if he would be interested in applying to the Garrison. Teacher said Shiro should forget about that one, he’s a very troubled foster home kid. Shiro kept trying to convince her of the potential of he saw in Keith but she didn’t listen. Teacher kept insisting Keith was juvinial delinquent devil spawn.

As soon as she was done saying that, Shiros Jeep started up and drove off. The kids were all saying it was Keith, who was nowhere in sight. They were just about to call the police and report Shiros car stolen when it came around the corner, all the windows down, radio blasting My Neck My Back by Khia for the whole world to hear. Shiro was simultaneously mortified and amused. The kids were either shacking their heads in disapproval, or cracking up and dancing with the music.

Keith parked the car and sauntered out with a McDonald’s bag. The teacher exploded, screaming about detention possibly suspension and ruining the schools reputation. And Keith is like Chill I just went to get my lunch the car is fine and tossed the keys to Shiro who was having a hard time not cracking up. Keith went to eat a good distance away from the other kids having lunch

This has been in my drafts for like a week and I don’t know what else to do with it so. This is what it is for now. Anyone is welcome to add on to this.

Originally when I found out about the DW thing regarding this new season, and sooner came to discover the tweets from Barlee. I became really upset. I’m still upset.

Keith and Lance and their dynamic, has been one of the best things I loved about Voltron. But I know for a fact it was initially meant t happen. There’s way too much proof, even in season 7. Even if others didn’t see it.

So finding out that it might’ve just been tossed away because DreamWorks didn’t want it... or didn’t give permission... really hit hard.

But as I lay here, with my pillow being soaked with tears... I thought about Barlees tweets again.

Being fair, they couldn’t say all that much, so it’s very much obscure towards what it could mean. But I ... might be able to give some hope towards this. Even if I could be wrong.

First off, Barlee acknowledges that the situation isn’t good and that we have a right to be upset. And from OUR POINT OF VIEW it doesn’t look good. But there is more to the story.

Now I feel like some people are maybe taking her words of “they’re allowed to feel upset by the end result...” a little out of context.

I will dive more into this in a second, but I just want to quickly point out Barlee is being very clear in that the people who also work on Voltron, do care about proper rep and did want what was best for us.

This is where the idea of being Queerbaited came from. Overall Marketing and Netflix had minds of their own, and that’s where the “official videos being tagged Klance” and the obscure tweets by Netflix originally came into play, when they weren’t meant to. This is where the posters Netflix(?) made of Shiro with Adam behind him, and the Keith poster with Lance being behind him, came into action. They only watched the show like the rest of us, so assumed that was the direction as well. They probably had minimal insight into what’s going on, so If any queerbait was involved it was ultametly just the marketing team. Not the show runners themselves who didn’t have any say in what gets shown, tagged or previewed.

Now getting back into this, and why “they’re allowed to be upset with the final result” stands out to me.

A lot of people are saying that “patching up” the “incomplete story” is referring to making Allura and Lance endgame. Lance was promised one, so that’s what their doing. But in all honesty that doesn’t line up for me.

DreamWorks is believed to have not been allowing the team to go through with their original rep and storyline in the first place. It’s rumoured that Shadam and Klance were fought for, but were never allowed... until a certain point, that as Barlee says here, she didn’t even know about until right before the sdcc premier.

This here implies, that they were given permission for rep at some point in time, and not everyone who worked on Voltron were given this insight.

Now this could easily just be making Shiro the only rep, but when you consider them “patching up” after finally being allowed to put in rep, implies they are still fixing up a lot to include the rep, but what else would they need to patch up, if Shiro and Adam had nothing happen, nor did Shiro point out there’s more to him then we saw. That’s why so much changed easily just by allowing the rep to happen. That’s probably why Shiro was thrown in so quickly to being gay rep, and why there wasn’t any Adam and Shiro except a new recording.

I would like to remind you all, that there was another few recordings done for Shiro and Adam, and I believe an actual scene that was suppose to happen. (Don’t take my word for it). So they may have had scenes and audio ready, it maybe never got a chance to use them as they had to change things.

This is where the whole improvisation comes in. They had to improvise to make Shiro as gay. It’s not what we wanted nor was hyped up to be. They just fit it in cause they were only allowed to recently.

Coming back to this tweet. Barlee says that because of the improvisation, much of the rest of the creators didnt get to do everything THE WAY they planned. This is where I think Klance might still be happening.

“They did what they could to patch it up.”

Barlee never once in any of the tweets implies that they are pulling through with Allura being Lance’s endgame just cause it was promised he’d get one.

The Voltron showrunners were given permission for the rep. It may not be how it was originally planned, so that’s what they’re patching up.

That’s why this season doesnt make sense in terms of all the Keith and Lance interactions that demonstrated them being exactly what they were meant to be, a good team, and most importantly, together. There was more scenes of Keith and Lance, (and even one or two scenes heavily implying Lance where he is feeling something towards Keith), compared to the one or two Allura and Lance scenes implying a romance between them.

“They didn’t get to do everything the way THEY PLANNED.” Implying they’re still doing everything they originally wanted... but not in the way that they saw was more fitting. Combine this with the fact they were given permission for rep... I don’t think Shiro is the only rep allowed. Also combine that with the Keith and Lance heavily implied development this season ... both original planned reps were probably given...

Bro. I’ve stopped crying.

This. Tweet. Right here. No where does it sound like Barlee is implying Lance isn’t getting an endgame with Keith. This is starting to look more like :

“Originally, what was planned was Keith and Lance from season 1-3. However it wasn’t allowed after that and they had to improvise. Eventually rep was allowed, and now they had to not only improvize but patch up anything to try and make sense of it again.”

I’d also like to include that Seaosn 8 isn’t finished yet, most likely BECAUSE they have to “patch things up.”

It isn’t going to feel satisfying because everything is so rushed, since they only got the okay to do it now. It’s not being made the way it was originally planned. So yes, Keith and Lance are still most likely going to happen. But it won’t be the way they originally wanted for the show or for us. That’s why everything is so quick and bumpy, and why Acxa (a side character who all of a sudden is brought in) and Allura (someone who just had their heart horrifically broken) are probably being implied as Romantic towards the two, Keith and Lance respectively.

I wouldn’t be surprised in Seaosn 8 if they pulled the lame use of Jealousy or pining to bring Keith and Lance together. It initially was meant to be slowburn — These two coming together throughout the story. But they had to, again, IMPROVISE.

Allura and Acxa are mostly likely a part of this “patching up” situation. And the ending won’t be satisfying because not only will these two probably be thrown somewhat under the bus... (hopefully respectfully), they will also make Allura realize feelings for Lance and him coming to realize, no, you’re not the one for me. They’ll also probably use Acxa as a segue to make Lance maybe jealous? Or realize his feelings as he assumes something is happening between her and Keith.

I of course do not like this sort of scenario at all. But that’s the only logical way I can see Acxa being brought into this and being implied to have a crush on Keith, and Allura suddenly has feelings for Lance. If they just wanted to have Lance end up with someone cause it was promised, they would’ve left Acxa out. Keith wasn’t promised an endgame. Throwing her in wouldn’t make sense, unless it was for this purpose.

“It won’t be satisfying to a lot of ppl, and I certainly do not fault them for that.if they had gotten to do what was originally planned, people would feel better about the season.”

So many people were disappointed that not only Lance and Allura being implied to be getting together even after Allura’s heartbreak (besides some of the actual shippers which, y’know, ship them), but also Acxa and Keith out of nowhere, on top of Adam dying without seeing Shiro. This isnt what was suppose to happen. But again, they’re patching up what they can.

I’m bringing this back down, to tie all of this together. From everything I’ve gathered. Klance... is still pretty much happening. Or at least, 95% happening as this is sheer speculation on my part.

But to sum up, the showrunners wanted an actual LGBT based plot line, following Keith and Lance. That was initially the slowburn. And it still somewhat counts as slowburn, since they’ve kept the previous development and brought in more interactions and development for them, including the subtleties within Season 4, and end of Season 6 - more than I originally expected to see compared to Allura and Lance. It will feel rushed, but they had to improvise and patchup what they could because they only got permission to go through with it recently, and everything they wanted originally isn’t being done they way they planned.

Allura and Acxa may get thrown under the bus next season, but hopefully it’s not a disservice to their characters. And in terms of Adam and Shiro, people have a right to be upset about it. Ultametly, fans were queerbaited, but not by showrunners, they were baited by the marketing team who exploited not only the LGBT, but also the largest portion of the fandom, the Klance ship.

BUT THAT WAS NOT THE SHOWRUNNERS FAULT. They cared about Rep and they’ve always been advocates. They couldn’t give what they wanted from the beginning because they didn’t have a choice. And now they have permission, and have to do what they can to work back to what they originally planned in a short amount of time, and try to make sense do things again, even though it’ll be rushed and won’t be as satisfying as it should’ve been.

And they know we have a right to be upset with an unsatifying result. Even if it ends with Klance.

So. Did I manage to somehow restore faith for myself? Oh yes. But knowing the posts I make, this will get like 2 notes. But please! BOOST THIS. I think people need to think of this a little better.

And once again be patient. Patience yields focus.

Edit: So I have discovered that these did not refer to Klance. I admit I even took these out of context, HOWEVAH! I still made a post, and gUYS I HAD AN EPIPHANY TODAY AND I REALLY THINK YOU ALL NEED TO READ IT! Please!!! Because, even if it does not happen on canon, which seems like it might not, even though please consider reading!

Keith and Lance have had major roles in each other arcs, even if they weren’t romantic ones! But they have definitely grown into best friends at least, and that’s still a beautiful, beautiful thing! And they’ll be by eachothers sides even after the series ends.

Because that’s what Klance is. Keith and Lance, back to back.

Pokemon Gym Leader Lance with Klance and Shadam

Pkmn vld au where Shiro is the retired champion who discovers his true calling, pokemon breeding/daycare. It came about as he helped a gym leader rescue some kids who attempted to start their journey early and as thanks, Lance takes him to his cousins daycare where he preps him a room and a mini feast. Adam having heard about the kids rushed over to make sure his biggest brat aka lance is ok.

Lance starts blushing because cmon he is THE Gym Leader that everyone struggles with and street cred but Shiro just laughs and Adam introduces himself. They all get to speaking and it is clear to lance that the two have a spark. He tells them he is going to take care of his darlings and tuck in all the pokemon in the daycare while wishing them a goodnight. Shiro is like oh i should probably sleep too and Adam leads him to the guest room while thanking him again because he knows his cousin.

Every time someone is in need his cousin drops everything and helps them. It was due to this selflessness that Adam worries. Shiro is amazed and is like y’all are cool dudes and they go their separate ways after wishing each other a goodnight. The next day Shiro is woken up by a mischievous pokemon and Adam bursting in trying to wrangle it back into the breakfast hall. Shiro laughs after helping Adam catch it (maybe its mimikyu. That pikachu disguised pokemon that just wants to be loved 😭) and inadvertently becomes the pokemons pal in that he likes him and doesn't want to leave.

Adam is perplexed as that pokemon was abandoned by its owner after they caught a pikachu. Mimikyu is kind of like a feral in that regard but Lance and Adam have been working to help it recover and be happy. It’s well on the way but will be clingy with its faves which is why mimikyu is not an adoptable pokemon as he is their lil guy. He also likes to take Lance his lunch as that is one of the biggest things that has helped him recover and learn to socialize. Its just that mimikyu wants to hang out with Shiro more so Adam asks Shiro if he could have Mimikyu accompany him and take Lance his lunch. The two go and inadvertently mimikyu is giving Shiro a tour when they reach the gym.

Shiro was mistaken as a challenger but then mimikyu is spotted and they let him through. The person also belatedly realizes this is the dude that helped Lance save his dumbass little sister and thanks him as he knows how far their leader (Lance) would have gone to save her and the rest of the brats. Shiro says it was no problem and carries on. Lance is all happy to see mimikyu and Shiro. He also gets to chatting aka probing about how long Shiro is gonna stay and finds that Shiro doesn't know. Lance extends the offer for however long he wants as his favorite people and pokemon like him already so he can't be bad, plus he saves children on his time off lol. 

Shiro is like you know what, i might just do that. Plus lance can tell there is a hurt somewhere in there as the last time mimikyu behaved that way was when he went through some shit *coughNymacough* and he was sent to Adams place. He is much better now but he can't help but wonder if Shiro will get the healing he needs. He also definitely can see them together so he is all for Shiro staying around. Shiro is curious about a lot of things and Lance indulges him as he can tell Shiro is surprised at his gym. It is known that the 8th badge is hard to get that the gym leader is compared to one of the elite four. Shiro had heard many people complain but had no idea he was so young. And that’s when Nyma comes in.

As a kid, lance found a feebas. He was not old enough to have a pokemon but he was friends with this pokemon. It was also where his beauty routine started as he could tell his little buddy did not like being called ugly. Eventually someone took notice if his routine and befriended him, Nyma. She was a couple years older and definitely one of the cool kids. Lance was amazed and told her everything despite his family discouraging him. One day it all came to a halt as Nyma used a pokeball to catch feebas before it evolved and had a rocket grunt who was willing to shell out the money. It is known that when evolved they make powerhouses but the time is not something anyone would want to invest. 

Lance realizes what happens and goes to rescue his friend but it goes terribly wrong. At this point Nyma has already met up with her friend and began their journey while the team rocket member decides to kidnap lance. If the feebas he buys proves to be good, he will have lance do the time investment part and he would have a bunch of strong pokemon. Feebas could tell something was wrong the moment Nyma caught her and had been trying to break out of the pokeball since then. Perhaps it was the weak bond between her and Nyma, but feebas broke out and evolved to save Lance. The rocket grunt us surprised but excited as the evelotion is much stronger than any other he has battled. This proves Lances quality making him want to catch the pokemon and keep lance. 

Milotic ain’t having that shit and goes all out in the battle and drives the grunt away. Its Just that the town lance was taken to is scared of milotic and start trying to kill her. Lance rushes to her and tried getting her to go away but she wouldn't so he does something that hurts him too. He calls her ugly and throws rocks in her direction to try and spook her away. It works and lance is happy knowing that she is safe. It is just heart breaking for him and his family tries to help but it doesn't work. It isn't until Adam is brought up that they send him away for a change if scenery.

It works and Lance helps Adam around the daycare (that will also be like a shelter because he saves pokemon) and finds himself attached to a ghost fairy pikemon  mimkyu. He had no name at the time but they nicknamed him gumdrop because he is clingy and sticks to you if he likes you. I also like to think they would have several outfits for him or accessories. But anyways, Adam and Gummy get him out of his funk and he starts being open to having pokemon again. He and Adam have a way with them and end up raising a lot of strong and healthy pokemon. They also start to train some special pokemon that are there to help people who are unable to fully care for themselves. Those tend to take the most time to train as they cant just use any temperament. They are new and a lot of people are skeptic, but the McClains are nothing if not full of compassion. 

Lance and Gumdrop had both been learning to socialize again and Lance met many people who needed help in their daily lives. That is how it became his passion project and the locals love him even more. Adam was already highly regarded in their town, but Lance despite being from another town, cemented himself as a local hero from such a young age. Later on he would be of age to start his pokemon journey, but he would miss his home too much so he gets his licence but remains there. He does Apprentice under the local gym leader as one of the pokemon caretakers and accidentally gets challenged by a person trying to get the gym badge. 

He refuses but the brat won't take no for an answer and Lance reluctantly battles. He asks the pokemon he was pampering if they would help him and they agree as the new comer was irritating them through the aggression towards one of their favorite humans. Lance also asks Gumdrop to find Blaytz. Lance floors the guy just as Blaytz rushes in.Thus began Lances career and quick ascension to gym/town leader. Shiro is amazed at all of them. He also tells them he can see why the townsfolk love and protect them so much. Lance thanks him for lunch and listening to his origin story but can't ignore his duties and sends him to Adam. 

It is also crazy timing as there is a misplaced pokemon wreaking havoc. A cubone was spotted in the area but they are not native to the area meaning it was lost or abandoned. Adam is dispatched and Shiro joins him. The pokemon center would typically take care of those calls but they had an influx of challengers and travelers so they are unable to assist. What is more pressing is that witnesses have noticed it had a different coloring and a chip in its helmet (Spoiler it is one of those alola variations). Adam takes Shiro and his best helper, a Kangaskhan who can calm anyone. He found her when Lance busted an illegal pokemon trade ring. They were too late to save her cub, but Adam was able to save her. She was very angry and feral with the officers talking about putting her down but Adam and Lance did not give up and she is now their star helper. 

Shiro is amazed again and doesn't realize that he has fallen in love with Adam. Seeing how gentle he is makes Shiro realize he wants that in his life. That sense of peace and fulfillment. Some time goes by and Shiro has become a part of their home and routine. Lance gets up for his gym duties leaving Adam and Shiro to take care of the daycare. Adam runs errands while Shrio and Gumdrop take lunch to Lance. Adam returns home and occasionally finds Shiro cooking or checking on their special case rescues. They eat and chat until Lance gets out and brings then some late dinner. It isn't until a trainer shakes things up. 

Not on purpose, but through a member she has on her team. Challenger Allura had a well rounded team. She was doing well but her last pokemon puts a halt to the battle. It is a Milotic that Lance never forgot. Milotic seems to remember him as well but is conflicted as they are battling. Lance calls his pokemom back and runs to milotic. She is not showing signs of aggression but both remember the last time they saw each other. He wants to be sure its his precious girl and calls her her old name, Blue. Hearing the longing in his voice Blue is happy.He missed her as much as she did and wraps him up in a hug. 

Allura is puzzled but figures this must have been a long awaited reunion. She is hesitant to break it up but her curiosity as to what will happen wins out. Lance is a little embarrassed at his lack of professionalism but tells Allura he cannot battle Blue and as such forfeits giving her the final badge she needed. He just hopes Allura and her team can recover a bit and let him hang out with Blue before she goes on her journey to challenge the league. She agrees on the condition that he tells her how they were separated. Lance goes about his routine by buying dinner and heading home. 

Allura follows as he tells her about a boy who found a pokemon that was lonely and a boy that was equally as lonely and the foul dust that preyed on them (i got that from the great gatsby. I hate that book but I read so carefully to not read it multiple times, but I read too carefully and it stuck lol). It breaks her heart a bit as one of her pokemon was given to her by her now late father. They walk in with Allura trying not to cry and Lance trying to placate her but Adam thinks something bad happened and is all like Lance *middle name* McClain *second last name* what have you done. 

Shiro goes behind him placing a hand on his shoulder while telling Adam it is easy to jump to conclusions so why not have dinner while they talk things over to which they do. Now everyone is crying with Lance and Allura heading over to the pond on their land. Lance and Blue swim and Lance keeps on apologizing for being so mean and Blue keeps hugging him. Back at the house Allura is talking to Shiro as she cannot believe he is there. Shiro tells her about how he retired and is no longer the champion. He hasn't found the chance to tell Adam but he loves being there. Allura is like cool. I am gonna restock before going to league and let Lance hang out with the newly discovered Blue. 

Adam pops in at that point and thanks allura for being so understanding Allura tells him it’s no problem. She also worries if her staying there is ok as Lance let her stay in a guest room. Adam says it is no problem and starts giving her the tour while Shiro takes over the dishes. My brain has fizzed out but Allura wants to give blue back to Lance but Lance doesn't want to imbalance her team. He tells her he is happy to see them whenever they are in the area. He also hopes Blue helps her on her journey. 

Kolivan is the current champion with Keith, Kroila, Ulaz, and Thace as the elite four. Allura and Keiths battle does quite a number on the arena but ultimately Allura pulls out before Blue could get injured further. Keith is curious as to why she would do that and that’s when Allura recounts the tale of Lance and Blue. Allura also talks about how great the daycare shelter Adam has that Lance helps at. Keith decides he should take a vacation as it is long over due and the place sounds so relaxing. 

The two meet and Adam is the one to see sparks are flying. Gumdrop likes him so that further cements him in Adams book and it ends with Klance Keith ends up adopting the alola cubone and has training breaks and vacations there and Adams place becomes the place to get your pokemon and visit with your pokemon. 

Side note: Lance will always be like Shiro didn't question my character and he isn't family like you were (all dramatic like lol) after getting Allura settled and stuff. They become bros. The end.

Scarab Stalker (Hunter Archetype)

 Just as druids and rangers have their share of environmental-themed archetypes, so too are there those for hunters. We’ve touched on a few others before, such as aquatic and urban environments, but now let’s take a trip to the desert!

As far as ecosystems go, deserts do not seem like the first place that a class based on a strong bond with animal life would go, but there exists plenty of highly adapted creatures living there, giving these hunters plenty to go off of if they know where to look. Of particular note for them are various giant desert-adapted vermin companions, but also hardy mammals, reptiles, and birds of the desert or perhaps of a nearby river, since such water sources are always the strongest concentrations of life in otherwise dry lands. Certain desert-adapted cactus plant companions and the like are also viable as well.

The name “Scarab Stalker” implies that the hunter is from a desert based off the real-world Sahara, but don’t let yourself be limited if you wish to create a character from a different sort of hot, dry realm.

 While these hunters can learn the animal aspects of the bull, snake, and falcon like any hunter, they otherwise have an alternative list, such as bees being invoked for mastery of flight; cats lending their grace; cows offering their endurance; the aquatic agility of crocodiles; the resistance to disease associated with the ibis, which occasionally eat carrion; the survivalist nature of the jackal; enhanced healing due to the kite’s association with the goddess Isis; the flexibility of the leopard; the fearsome nature of the lion’s roar; the ram’s powerful charge; the hard carapace of the scarab; a blessing against poison from the scorpion; resilience to sandstorms from Set’s totem animal, the sha; and the divine protection of Wadjet in the form of the uraeus, or “rearing cobra”, which wards them against the breath weapons of foes.

Having lived in the desert as long as they have, these hunters and their companions have mastered the art of moving over the soft, hot sands of their home with little impediment or harm.

A fun desert-themed archetype, this hunter is simple, but can be quite useful if your game takes place primarily in the desert. Its simplicity also lets you use pretty much any build you could desire as well, though obviously your animal aspect choices are different.

 You may have noticed that the aspects associated with this class include many that are associated with various animals sacred to Egyptian gods, or even make direct references to the gods themselves by way of providing benefits specifically associated with said god. This is because in the Golarion setting, the ancient Osirians worshipped the same gods as the ancient Egyptians, though eventually those gods abandoned Golarion for other worlds. Even if you don’t use those gods at all in your setting, the symbology that these aspects represent can still be used or modified as you see fit for your setting.

  Having something of a reputation in the desert towns of Akrim, the guide known as Shadam the Asp is known to take on assassination work from time to time alongside his juvenile emperor cobra companion. What exactly motivates him to take a job is known only to the taciturn vishkanya.

 The harvesting of honey is a sacred tradition in the nation of Permhet, an art they learned from the neighboring thriae. Envoys to the thriae often bond with giant bees as a sign of solidarity, trading honeys made from local flowers with unique flavors, and perhaps occasionally healthy males to help propagate the species, according to rumor.

 The trek across the dry lakebed to Gildurch is fraught with perils of its own, but the caravan is being hunted, a fact that becomes clear when oxen start turning up dead with thorns embedded in them, a calling card of a sniper cactus, but such a plant does not stalk prey this far, not without guidance.

Not to bash on Shadam but if ya'll really think Sheith is dead, well:

Lauren: They had a beautiful relationship that went for a long time and they were flight partners in the Garrison and became a couple eventually. Unfortunately, their relationship does end when Shiro decides to go on the Kerberos mission.

Voltron didn't "give Shiro a boyfriend because they were tired of Sheith shippers" lol

And not to get more salty but uh, if ya'll really stan Shadam for Klance... lol that makes sense.

Shadam: Adam gives up and ends his relationship with Shiro because he cared about their relationship more than Shiro's dreams and happiness even though he knew Shiro was dying from an unknown disease.

Klance: Constantly have arguments, Lance making fun of Keith or degrading him when he can. Lance calls Keith's grief over Shiro being possibly being dead (and it was true) a ploy for him to be the Black Paladin. Haven't interacted in 3 seasons (that's not a slow burn lol that just means they're not important to each others arcs).

Sheith: Has been stated to have the closest bond in the show both by the creators and directly from the show. Both have never given up one another. Keith rescuing Shiro in every single season. Day 20

Every now and then you run across a story that just hurts in just the right way. And this one is it. I followed the updates from basically day one with this fic, and let me tell you, waiting for the new chapter was painful! There were so many cliff hangers and the angst just hit you like woah. If there is ever a Klance fic to read this would be at the top. Go give this author some love. They’ve earned it.

Here’s what I call a ‘Heavy Hitter’. There have only been a few small handful of stories that really mean something to me (about 12). Ones that hold that special place in your heart, that you can go back to over and over again and never get tired of. Ones that I would pay physical money to own a hardcover printed copy of. This is definitely on that list. And I owe the author more then they can imagine for the simple fact that they shared this story with everyone for free.

But it turns out Lance is in L.A., too. And he suddenly keeps appearing in Keith’s life.
