The sky above the beach paints a dreamy scene in hues of pink and purple as the sun dips below the horizon. A pier with its gently lit lamps stretches into the embrace of the calming waves, offering a perfect end to the day.

Hamlet and Horatio in the Graveyard

Reflecting on death and transience, Prince Hamlet and his friend Horatio are alone in the cemetery. They only learn of who the grave belongs to when the funeral procession for Ophelia, Hamlet’s lover, appears. Horatio stands firm and exalted. The prince, holding the court jester Yorick’s skull, seems to almost slide off the sloping slab into the grave – an indication of his imminent death. In the painting, which was rejected by the Paris Salon jury, the French artist shows Shakespeare’s protagonist as a typically romantic hero: sensitive and melancholy, isolated and introverted.

So after much consideration and going over all the amazing entries A winner has finally been decided!

Evening Glow by @skysbluemoon

This was a very tough choice as i loved so many of the entries on both platforms so much. But I absolutely fell in love with the story blurb and just how cute it was! I particularly love the idea of them being rivals as that snarky go get em attitude is very attractive to the predorus part of nightfall. I also love that she just calls him sparkles, like fuck his name, fuck his title, bitch you sparkles and if you don’t like it munch me! I thank everyone so much who participated as all the entries were amazing and it was such a hard choice. In the future I do plan on opening more of my NG for ships so don’t feel discouraged!
