The figure looked down at Billy. Billy looked up at the figure awkwardly from where he was digging through a trash can. 

“Um… I can explain!” 

Okay he honestly couldn’t, and instead threw a bag at them and booked it like his life depended on it. Which it might! Living in Fawcett meant that there were magical entities everywhere, even if they looked human, and he wasn’t going to get stolen by some fae! 

…

And they caught him. Great. He’s going to die now or get thrown back into foster care- huh? Food? They’re offering- no no, this is some fae bullshit, isn’t it! … But he’s also hungry, so maybe it’ll be worth it…

one of my favorite things about zedaph is that on a server full of people that find strange and oft-overlooked minecraft mechanics or rare events and then see just how far they can push them in the name of spectacle or efficiency or world-breaking, zed is over here finding these mechanics in order to do the weirdest things he can think of in as entertaining a manner as possible

like i 100% have faith in zedaph's theoretical ability to be just as efficient or spectacular or world-breaking. if he wanted to do that stuff, i trust that he absolutely could. but thats so far from being his priority. instead, hes going to spend around a week of irl time focused entirely on eventually having the good luck to spawn in something insanely rare so that he can convert it into something even rarer, the result of which being something that 99% of the server reacts with complete and utter shock that it even exists in the first place, just because its zany and funny and he wanted to. and i love that

So, fun fact:

John Constantine got a transfusion of some demonic blood to repair his injuries at one point (since the demon needed him healthy to complete a certain task), and it left some lasting effects on his body/soul.

I don’t yet have a single specific plot idea for how to have it contribute to the plot of a DPxDC crossover fic, but i feel like it could absolutely do something.

Like maybe it’s treated similarly to resurrection by Lazarus Water and leaves him a type of unhealthy liminal, but since this is demonic in nature, the corruption’s effects/treatment are way different from Lazarus stuff.

Or maybe it makes him just inhuman enough to fall slightly under the Ghost King’s control, leading to him being dragged into ghostly politics by that.

Or maybe he actually dies and becomes a ghost, but the blood makes him into a sorta half-ghost half-demon entity. Though the soul contracts would likely muddy the water even further with any “dying” stuff…

...what is even the argument for "venom isn't black"? poor lighting?

The argument is so circuitous and insane (he made an argument comparing black people to like cheese curls or something?) that I'm not actually sure what the point being made was, but I think the gist of it was that ASW/Daisuke has never called Venom black or said that he/his family are possibly African immigrants that got British citizenship, so therefore he isn't black because it can't be cited

It's important to note that the guy saying Venom isn't black has also said that Xrd and Strive are non-canon side stories/retcons (because of the LGBT characters) and also argued that Nagoriyuki wasn't black until his official bio dropped. You know, Guilty Gear's character with the most mysterious ancestral origins

It's just racism all the way down, there's no logic in it. An attempt at sounding "sophisticated" to people incapable of thinking critically even in passing, or using their eyes, maybe, but not much else.

So question for all the non-Americans in my follower base, do you guys have a group of historical figures that your country’s culture associates with patriotism to the point they’re almost deified? Like in America, we have the Founding Fathers, and I feel like every American knows all about that whole group, along with a sort of mythos surrounding them (like Ben Franklin’s key on the kite or Washington’s Cherry Tree or even Lincoln’s Log Cabin, although thats technically real).

Do other countries have that for their historical figures?

Jason Todd being Tim's Robin in fanon stems from trying to make sense of the wacky timeline bullshit created by the writers doing their best to entirely erase Jason Todd. It's why Dick is Tim's favorite Robin. Dick was Robin from when Tim was 4-10, the longer amount of time, so he still could have been Tim's favorite Robin regardless, but it's also. The writers really really hated that little boy.
