hey guys just a heads up, mostly for my mutuals but for anyone i interact with on here basically, i'm going through some personal stuff and it's making me not as into kink stuff as i usually am. also am struggling with a bad patch of my anemia and cannot stay awake more than like six hours in a row, so if i'm not reaching out as much it's nothing to do with you, i just am so tired and honestly really not feeling great. i'll still be posting and reblogging and near the end of the month i have a fun little photoshoot i'm planning, but i just wanted to reassure anyone that if i'm not replying, it's not to do with you 💕

#dungeon meshi #izutsumi #marcille donato #chilchuk tims #I still stand by my tags on the Izutsumi character study piece I did in January - but I will repeat myself on a few lines here:#I *really* love this character. I love that all of the dungeon meshi crew are complicated and have difficult to love components.#But Izutsumi is a particular kind of hard to love. I foresee a lot of people being turned off by her abrasiveness and lack of teamwork.#She is very self-centered and openly goes against what the party agrees on.#She's a picky eater in a story that is 50% about eating good and healthy food!#It is in part about her growth but admittedly even *then* she remains rather true to her self-centeredness.#Even though she isn't as nice or funny or compassionate as the others...Izutsumi is still someone worth loving.#Even the more difficult people are someone worth loving.#And those people in turn are people who have something and someone they love.#She may be a girlcat but she is the most human of them all.#I hope that if you are an anime only watcher and are feeling put off by her at the moment; you'll give her a chance.#By the way: *yes* I worked very hard to draw that skateboard pose. It was worth it.#EDIT: HAPPY 500th POST OF POORLY-DRAW-MDZS!!! What a comic to commemorate the milestone with!

Yes! And in addition people started using "let women be girly" "you can be feminine and strong" in order to shit on butch and masculine women and act like they are the oppressors of feminine women, when that isn't true.

But I totally agree that women should be told that them being feminine isn't lesser. It just shouldn't be done in a way that implies that masculine women are the privileged ones whom society accepts. 😁

“let women date men” “let women shave” “let women be girly and feminine” what alternate reality are you guys living in.

#i'm so tired of people dismissing the reality of feminine women being looked down upon because they're feminine #women and especially young girls DO need to be told that they can be feminine and strong because we are so often told that the only way to #be competent or taken seriously is if we are one of the guys #femininity is seen as silly vapid frivolous shallow and bimbo-ish #girly hobbies pastimes and careers are seen as easy or vain or not worthy of pursuit nor requiring intellectualism #even though that's not true #cheerleading ballet and gymnastics all require stamina diligence and strength and fashion isn't just an art form #it requires skill and knowledge and has a deep and complex history #yet somehow being into those sports isn't considered a 'real sport' and being into fashion isn't considered smart or ambitious #it's so unfair #also not a fan of how this post seems to associate being feminine with being straight and shaving #when there are so many ways to be feminine that don't involve making yourself an uncomfortable ornament to appease men #especially if you're not even attracted to men(like me! 🙋🏿‍♀️)#so yeah

It's been said before, it will be said again, but it's still worth saying: the fact that art centering on straight romance is allowed to just be bad, but art with queer romance in it always has to be indicative of A Serious Problem With the Way We Tell Queer Stories makes being a queer person making queer art deeply stressful

#just saw smthing about red white and royal blue #and like i never watched/read that one so maybe everything ppl say about it is true #and i never watched heartbreaker or love simon so maybe those ones are also genuinely a sign of a serious problem #but idk. the fact that this happens every damn time makes me think that maybe queer stories are being held to different standards #and it's exhausting writing stuff while having a chorus of voices in the back of my head saying i'm misrepresenting my own identities and #making the whole community look bad by writing mediorcre romance #and knowing that even though i'm neither straight nor a girl there WILL be ppl calling me a straight girl fetishizing queer relationships #lgbt #queer community #writer stuff #idk what else to tag this #asexual #bisexual #nonbinary #venttag
