Well, if you listen to Bird, then she and Ari's first date took place at Sloane's Tavern, which is a little bar down the street from her house. I can't go into a lot of specifics because that particular fic is coming up very soon (provided I continue weaving in new prequel chapters into the current storyline), but I can tell you that Ari vehemently disagrees.

He DOES NOT want that to be their first date. Which is why he's been working very hard to plan something special for his lady before he goes away on a job. Unfortunately, he suffered from a particularly bad night terror the evening before the big date, so now he feels like he has twice as much to prove.

That story will also be coming down the pipeline relatively soon. You can expect it to fall after the fic, Worthy of You.

What do Bird and Ari dislike about each other the most?

At first, the fact that Bird could be a little uptight initially bothered Ari. That is...until he discovered just how much he enjoyed showing his girl how to unwind. If he had to pick something, it would probably be the fact Bird tends to run late. Constantly. Drives him up the wall.

Meanwhile, Bird has to resist the urge to strangle her man every time he misplaces his phone, wallet, keys, etc. Not because she's never done it, but because it happens all the time. She's even tried things like putting several hooks by the front door. And when that didn't work, she upgraded to a decorative bowl on his kitchen counter, as well as his nightstand.

It still doesn't stop him from bugging her about their whereabouts while they're trying to get reading in the morning. If she's being honest, she has no idea how he's survived on his own for this long.

What do Andy and Baby Girl love about each other the most?

Even though he sometimes acts like he doesn't, Andy adores his sweet wife's sense of humor. While it's true that she can be a bit of a brat at times, his life is never boring with her. Not only does she make him laugh, but she is also able to get him to laugh at himself. Which is something he's struggled to do in the past.

He also loves her cooking. That's a big one as well.

As for Baby Girl, she loves that Andy makes her feel safe. She can be her most authentic self with him and never feel judged for it - which is part of the reason she feels free to be such a goofball.

She also loves how he manages to smell ridiculously good like all of the time.

OK hear me out: Red Son and MK. Don't worry MK's scared of spiders too you can both leap on the table like Shaggy & Scooby Doo while screaming for Red Son to kill it. Which she will do. Red Son was actually alive for a good part of the JTTW story, he can tell you what the time period was like in accurate detail and probably even show you some things he has left over (this would be great for both the mythological and historical interests!) You can't tell me MK isn't cripplingly bad at math. Hand him the quadratic formula he will look up at you with big goopy eyes and ask "What did I do to deserve this?" MK (and Red Son even if he'd rather die before admit it) really loves snuggling up to someone, oftentimes casually going over to sit someone in their lap or just sitting in someone's lap like this is an everyday occurrence. Oh, and head scratchies are absolutely appreciated. Perhaps even mandatory. I imagine MK appreciates the acts of service because he can be very disorganized and scattered, so assistance with making sure he eats regular meals and cleans up his room would be deeply appreciated. Red Son might feel partially guilty about the acts of service, telling you "Such menial work is for the peasantry, let them take care of such trivial matters while we watch Her Highnesses Queen Trixie and Katya. oh my gosh, DOES SHE!!!!!! juliette is a violin Prodigy!! it all started on her 9th birthday actually, which i have a very beloved fic for!! she got a violin for that birthday from her parents, and she took to it almost instantly. playing her violin is very much her happy place, even better if she’s standing out in a field or garden, eyes closed just feeling the music as much as she feels the breeze.

as she grows up, she starts trying to compose, and learns how to write sheet music and compose her own little tunes! so that’s a big hobby for her. (i think she’s also dabbled in poetry, kind of lyrics, to match her songs, but she’s much more connected to the music itself than the words. it’s how she best expresses herself.)

she also has a special interest in butterflies, so she’s spent a lot of time studying them, reading about them, even doing her own observations and writing them down! in general she loves looking into flora and fauna, she’s very compelled by and connected to nature. she loves finding little bugs and small animals like chipmunks and rabbits.

she actually has a pet bunny named chrysanthemum! she also has a black cat named romeo - very much named on purpose, to be the romeo to her juliette <3 those two are quite inseparable.

and, of course, she’s a HUGE bookworm. the most like belle of her siblings in that regard, juliette gets captured by every book she reads. and she adores shakespeare the most, so she and her mother have lots of nerdy conversations about that guy haha. but yes, if juliette isn’t playing violin or hanging with her family, you can almost be certain she’s reading a good book with romeo curled up on her lap.

Sorry for the delay in answering lol, I saw this last night but wanted to listen to the whole thing before forming opinions (I did only vault tracks and like 3-4 songs I was very nervous/ very excited for last night because I didn’t want to stay up till 2 am 😂) So tl; dr: this is where I’m at rn:

😂😂😂 all jokes aside, I really like it! Not a huuuuge fan of some of the orchestration changes but it could have been a lot worse 😂 My main issue is my same issue for all the rerecords— while her voice is more mature now, and I do love hearing the songs with her stronger vocals, it’s always just missing a lot of the raw emotion the originals have which makes sense because it’s been so long but still bugs me. But I also listen to the stolen versions over the Taylor’s versions so after this weekend I will probably rarely listen to the TVs anyways so I don’t let it stress me out too much 😂

My biggest problem is the way she is literally trying to BRAINWASH us into thinking Speak Now is not as it was originally punished. I thought the removal of If This Was A Movie was dumb but the Better Than Revenge lyric change REALLY has me heated. Like, girlie. This is not Picture to Burn where you changed it after the first wave of CDs and 99% of your casual audience doesn’t even KNOW there’s a homophobic version. We’ve been singing Better Than Revenge for 13 years. Changing the lyric completely defeats the purpose of faithfully recapturing the originals with the rerecordings imo? Like just say it’s a silly song and you don’t feel this way anymore and regret the lyric if you want but don’t flat out change it and just pretend it never existed? Personally I don’t even think the og lyric is that bad compared to how scathing the rest of the song is!! The damage was already done!! 😂 But again, Idc I’m just gonna listen to the stolen version anyways so I suppose I should not care that much but it’s just very annoying how she’s trying to alter history!! I was there when you sang it on tour Taylor I WONT FORGET

My favorite thing about the rerecords is always the vault songs and I really like these!! I think they’re miles better than the Fearless ones but probably not quite as good as the Red ones? I need a few more listens to truly form my opinions but I Can See You and Foolish One are standouts to me. And as Amy said earlier Castles Crumbling is VERY Dany coded so I’m a big fan of that one too 🙌

All in all I am lovingggg getting to relisten to this album again as it’s one of my favorites and even with my lil nitpicky things I love this project, I love how much joy it clearly brings Taylor, and I do love getting to hear her current takes on these songs. I feel the European date desire— I really wanted to try for UK tickets but my roommate shut me down lol. However, if she adds a Canadian leg… you best bet I’m hopping that border to see it again 😂 Taylor remains queen and I’m always excited to get to hear new stuff from her!!!

CW: trans pregnancy, postpartum anxiety, general fear of being a bad parent, mentions of anxiety and depression, PTSD, and hypothetical (perceived, but not real) harm to children.

In this AU Wilde is a trans man, and he and Zolf have sex after the resurrection ritual. Aurelia is an accident, but she is very much chosen and accepted and wanted, because I don’t play w that shit. Both Zolf and Oscar have their hang ups about being parents, but so does everyone. Auri is very loved and cared for.

It’s also a not everyone lives/somebody dies AU, as Sasha makes it back from Rome but Grizzop does not. Sasha is living essentially in Zolf and Oscar’s attic, spending her time helping out Gragg in what remains of Other London.

Azu is living on the first floor, as Zolf’s only just figuring out his mundane prosthetics and doesn’t have any need to go up there much anyway. It’s a good arrangement, since Azu’s been having a hard time of it since Hamid went to go check on his family and Kiko took a job on a merchant ship.

(I also recently realised that Aurelia being conceived in the Northern Wastes means that according to the rules of canon she could totally be a wee tiefling… anyhoo)

Some Facts About Aurelia Wilhelmina Smith

She has white hair. Both parents try not to think too hard about it.

Wilde’s sure that if she didn’t have white hair, it would be blonde, like Zolf’s used to be. She has Zolf’s green eyes too, and pointed Dwarven ears, which look silly when she’s very small, but she does grow into them eventually.

(It makes Wilde wonder what Zolf looked like when he was a baby with big ol floppy dwarf ears. Zolf finds this line of inquiry embarrassing.)

Wilde has pretty severe postpartum anxiety. He starts getting antsy about anyone touching her, and hates putting her down so much that he starts going without sleep. Zolf, extremely worried, eventually snaps and manages to argue some sense into him. This is what finally pushes him to pursue getting medicated.

Sasha holds her like she’s a bomb that might go off at any moment, which for Sasha is both a very cautious and a very loving embrace. Barnes holds her like someone’s unexpectedly handed him a loaf of bread he’s not quite sure what to do with. Carter holds her a little too recklessly for either of her fathers to be entirely comfortable, but when sat down he’s surprisingly gentle with her.

Helping raise Auri cements Azu’s desire to eventually have kids of her own. Watching Auri start to grow from a wiggly potato into a real human being makes her incredibly aware of the time passing. The ensuing conversation with Kiko—who, it turns out, doesn’t want children—is upsetting, but it is necessary.

Aurelia’s first word is ‘help’; as in, ‘I can help���. Sasha is the sole witness to this, and does not have the words herself to describe how it makes her feel.

Hamid sews her a stuffed bear that becomes her most prized possession, but as a toddler she has trouble pronouncing ‘teddy’ correctly, so it becomes ‘Tiddy’. Even after her speech progresses, the adults in her life remain unable to convince her to change the name.

She discovers fairly quickly that while Wilde is pretty unshakeable, Zolf has a weak spot and can be convinced to give her sweets when she isn’t technically supposed to have them (E.G. “You have to promise to still eat dinner also don’t tell dad” Aurelia w a mouthful of chocolate: 🫡🤐☺️)

LOVES bath time. Absolutely hates being told she needs a bath.

Ultimate cuddle bug, because she basically grows up in Zolf’s lap, getting wheeled around with him in his wheelchair as he cooks or runs errands. Her safest place is tucked under Zolf’s chin.

Wilde is ‘papa’ or ‘baba’ interchangeably, because when she’s very young it’s hard to tell the difference

Zolf is ‘dada’, ‘dad’, ‘da’, and occasionally ‘mum’ (as in ‘go ask your mother’)

Her accent is fairly generic while still leaning a bit London, as that’s where she grew up, but because of Zolf, there are certain words where she goes a bit Somerset (cooking/sailing terminology, etc.)

Howard Carter is her uncle How; Barnes, after a joke gets made one too many times, accidentally becomes uncle Why. Cel finds infinite hilarity in this, but can’t decide whether they want to be When or What.

Zolf (at least) once goes to check on Auri after bedtime to find that Oscar, while reading her to sleep, has read himself to sleep as well. Her bed is very small and he will regret this when he wakes up with the worst neck pain ever.

When Auri’s a little older, she decides to get a Big Hair Chop and go fashionably (think 1920s!) short. She does, however, keep enough to keep her family braid, a Dwarven tradition.

When she’s thirteen or fourteen, she and some friends decide to skip off school. Someone comes round their house to check if she’s playing hooky or if she’s just home sick or something; since she’s not home sick, and her parents saw her leave for school that morning, they start to panic. Thankfully, nothing bad actually happened, and it doesn’t take long to track her down and bring her home. It is the only time in her life that either parent raises their voice at her.

(Because she knows that there are people in this city who aren’t fans of their family, who without any nuance blame them for the loss of magic. A lot of people who were aristocracy before the war lost their social status and/or wealth afterwards. She knows this; they’ve read some of Hamid’s writings, and even some of Wilde’s, in history class. And she with the white hair, she who stands out. Of course her entire family panicked.)

When she’s about 16, she makes herself really sick stressing about her GCSEs. Oscar sits her down, makes her laugh for the first time in a week by apologising for probably handing down some sort of anxiety disorder, and tells her a story she hasn’t heard before. She’s out of school for a few days (they tell people she’s ill), because neither Zolf nor Wilde could ever value her grades over her health.

Auri starts seeing a therapist shortly after this. Zolf has been mortally terrified of passing on his depression since before she was born, and finally breaks down about it a little after Auri starts therapy. It’s a rough time, but LOLOMG supports him through it.

Because the campaign is set in 18mumblemumble, I’m taking post canon to be set vaguely in the early 1900s—turn of a new century!—progressing into the 20s as Auri gets older.

He doesn't mind what role he is while cuddling, as long as he gets cuddles he's satisfied. So, Bark's family consists of his mom, Ursa the Polar Bear, his uncle, Moss the Polar Bear (Ursa's brother), and his cousin, Crystal the Polar Bear. Bark only has a good relationship with Crystal, he's not exactly on speaking terms with Ursa and Moss.

Ursa was North Island's big snowboarding star, and she and Moss own and run a huge ski resort.

Ursa wanted Bark to follow in her shoes and continue the family legacy of snowboarding, before Bark was even born. And the second he was old enough to stand up, she started training him. Way too hard. This is why he doesn't talk much in my fics, his mother pushed him so hard it drove his anxiety through the roof. He eventually ran away at the age of 9 because he couldn't take it anymore.

Ursa and Moss looked for him, but thanks to Team Hooligan being criminals they were very hard to track down. They didn't find him until Team Hooligan left the life of crime and started settling down a bit more.

We're gonna see Bark tell Jewel about his mom and his childhood in WtDMtN. He's gonna fail to do it once, and then succeed to actually do it later on. So Jewel did know what was coming, thankfully. She wasn't totally taken by surprise when the wicked witch of the north did eventually show up. (We're gonna see all of this go down in my sequel fic to WtDMtN.)

Ursa HATES Jewel, pretty much on principle. Bark's not on North Island continuing the family snowboarding legacy, he's in this small town, engaged to a rock museum owner. Jewel's tiny, non-athletic, and nerdy, the last thing Ursa wanted associated with the family. Jewel tried to be hospitable and reasonable with her at first, but that got thrown out fast. She won't antagonize Ursa, but it's VERY obvious she doesn't like her.

Ursa was adamant against the idea of Bark and Jewel having kids, and made sure everyone knew. Hell, her "wedding gift" to them was a list of people she thought would make good surrogate mothers. 🙄🙄🙄 So she wasn't thrilled with Patience once she came into existence. Or Marzipan, but Patience is the firstborn.

She did swing by to evaluate Patience after she'd hatched. That ended with baby Patience being traumatized by strangers picking her up (Ursa grabbed her out of Jewel's arms, which apparently scared the shit out of the poor kid.), and Bark and Jewel agreeing Ursa can't be around their children. Luckily all of their friends are all on their side. NO ONE likes Ursa and Moss. 😂

Crystal's cool though. She and Bark have a good relationship, and she visits to see him, Jewel, and the kids sometimes. Her whole story is a whole different post though.

Okay, I'm so sorry that got so long!!! TL;DR: Except for Bark's cousin, his family's not cool about Jewel or his kids. 😭

I could never pick just one 🙈 so instead I’ll describe Gigi’s relationship with each a bit more in detail and hope that’s okay with you too. ♡

Boomer: Her good boy!! She is always so grateful to see him whenever she visits the Ryes and he senses that she is usually in need of some good old-fashioned canine comforting. Gigi’s heart breaks every time for his because despite having lost his Rea Rea, the were best friends for sure, and having to go through some brutal peggies shit too, he is still such a friendly loveable loyal companion. So they will cuddle and play and frolick around. Boomer thinks it’s good for his human to get some exercise with him and he‘ll gladly fetch the tennis ball for her any time because throwing it seems to really excite her.

After baby Carmina arrives and Joey is finally free he moves in with her though. Just like Gigi she is in need of a loyal caring partner and he takes great pride in caring for her.

Nick: She’d not only die for him but give him a kidney. He made her godmother to his baby after all! The first time she firmly declines his offer for a flight he is a bit hurt though but understands soon enough that it’s not because she doubts his abilities as a pilot but because she has yet to process the helicopter crash. She just naturally is a cat person and they get along like littermates. Sometimes Peaches even licks her for a bit and will run off to rip some peggies’ throat out before Gigi has even spotted them. She’s the only FFH allowed in her bed.

Sharky: Another best buddy power couple! Both love to just hang out, sip some beer and share snacks. Sometimes they will play guitar together and Sharky is absolutely enchanted by her singing. He calls her Stinky or Shorty. They also smash a lot. He is in awe of how he can get this bundle of nerves and tension to unwind and let go of herself and he’d be the only person she’d ever potentially allow to knock her up. (Not gonna happen though.)

Adelaide: A bit of her mum and a bit of her bad influence-friend. They often enable each other but generally in positive ways. Addie is one of the only people who at least suspects how much Gigi is sleeping around. She is none to judge though and even helps her through a pregnancy scare once. Our queen has been there, done that and some things you just cannot be alone with. They’ll always be there for each other.

22. From Fall’s End which person they DON’T get along with?

Sorry to have the most boring, people-pleasing OC, that doesn’t make for good answers but once again, it’s pretty much no one 😅 She is on 😏amazing😏 terms with Mary May and of course Joey, my beloved. Of course, she and Jerome are buddies and even though she declined most of Casey’s jobs around the Testy Festy, they are too.

She could do without that weird mysterious rat boy though who keeps showing up for open mic nights.

Gigi knows he is a delusional manipulator, that he is responsible for the torture and death of thousands of people. Despite all that he at some point has her far enough that she will, on occasion, willingly submit to him. It hurts to admit it but she genuinely believes that mixed in with all of the hate, disgust and general resentment towards hin, that twisted thing she feels for him deep down is not only lust but genuine love (girl, we understand but noooo! you’re just traumatised and have been manipulated 🥲). When they’re ~intimate~ she genuinely feels loved and cared for, special. And safe. He seems to be serious about what he is telling her, what he is promising. Still she rationally knows not to trust him…
