Occasionally I'll see people express their dislike for sans OC's, which you are well within your right to. However every AU is an OC, even if they've been adopted by the fandom such as Swap, Fell and Lust (i think).

They are still OC's. OC's are so incredibly useful to keeping this fandom afloat. I understand you may have specific ones you dislike, I for one do not like Unlust, Yandereswap, Alphatale (although this is sort of a lie) and many others. Obviously the former two are both AU's of an AU, making an OC using the template of a pre existing OC. But every AU did that with Classic Sans anyways

My dislike of Yandereswap is not necessarily because it is a yandere AU, but the absolute destruction of it as a potentially interesting AU. The fallen stars are an absolutely barbaric take on the Stars and make absolutely no sense. Each person can interpret their AU as their own, so I will not harass or make fun of anyone who views them in a certain way, so long as you can acknowledge that them existing makes no sense. However the individual AU's themselves are interesting in a way.

YanSwap could have been interesting, though I find 99% of the time people do it, it has no reference to 'yandere' and is just essentially a Dust AU with a different motive. Also when he is a yandere its almost always with the protagonist(Chara) or his brother... SO YKNOW I'm not the biggest fan.

Obviously you can take the idea of an AU and change it to better suit the scenario you're putting them in as a writer/artist, and this doesn't mean anyone who uses yandereswap makes him fall in love with those two people, after all DustBerry exists. But seeing an extreme amount of content that paints an AU in a certain light can make you uncomfortable to work with the AU or just make you dislike it.

I have started to warm up to a yandereswap, even though I'm not really a fan of the yandere archetype anyway. I still hate Dustberry because of it. Sorry not Sorry.

Unlust is a complex AU with history with the fandom, and in itself is quite odd. I have researched, but do forgive me if anything I say is canon, turns out to be retconned/not canon at all. The fandom portrayed Unlust as being in an abusive relationship with Fell. <I wrote a whole section here about 10 times the length of this but I found it difficult to write down my true feelings on the matter without it sounding like I was justifying Fell's hitting of Lust (to my knowledge, Fell hit Lust once because he was mentally out of it because of a fight he had with Fell Papyrus.) This obviously doesn't justify it, but 'abuse' as a verb, must be repetitive behaviours. If Fell hit Lust every day, that could be classified as abuse, hitting him once is not. But again this sounds like I'm justifying Fell, which I'm not. They ended up getting together in canon (after a long thing with Dust, Nightmare and an alter ego) yeah uh, don't bother with it. If it makes it worse the creator shipped Chara x Sans(theyre not in the fandom anymore thats why past tense is used)

My dislike of Alphatale isn't because of anything specific, I just don't like omnipotent God OC's. I'm guilty of it as I had made one before. But an OC without flaw/ability to lose or be harmed to me ruins the fun. It's sad because I find the designs interesting. I love 404's design, I adore Infected's design. But I'm not the biggest fan of the AU. Also it canonically came before Undertale... which... how does an alternate come before the original? We'll never know. It is interesting, but I don't really like God OC's sooo yknow.

The thing with designs brings me to a certain... Swapdream dream sans. I adore his design, he looks so cool. But his AU... and creator... yeah uh, if you know... you know.

Anyway this got really off topic, regardless. AU's and OC's are the same thing here. I appreciate the work people put into AU's. It is okay to not like certain AU's, but if you say you don't like sans OC's you're being a bit odd. Like I know what you mean,

You don't like smaller AU's like Anxiety Sans, ADHD sans and so on.

However you don't give these smaller AU's a chance. So many cool AU's I've been introduced to in a certain server *cough cough* violet banquet. I wouldn't have been interested prior, but I'm slowly starting to warm up to the idea of these AU's people would call OC's.

So I guess uhh, just have an open mind. Don't shut it out because you already have enough, creation is a beautiful thing we have in this fandom, and seeing new OC design and art is so FUCKING COOL

i totally agree with you on that spiderbit post. to me, for twt fans, it's kinda become a ship that's not necessarily about cellbit and roier, but more so revolving around two guys who happen to look like them? if that makes sense? idk like yeah au's are fun, but i just feel like it's gotten to a point where spiderbit are basically the twt fans' ocs. and i'm, uh, not a fan, personally

yeah i mean that's what the whole guapoverse thing is like those aren't even the same guys 😭 you've taken a ship dynamic that's super interesting in canon and boiled it down to here's two guys who look like this one of them is funny and hot and very emotionally intelligent (if they even bother with that element of roier's character) the other one is smart and hot and obsessive and they're stripped entirely of the context they originated in. like, im not saying there's not aus in fandom ive enjoyed before, but usually because they manage to hit on the same points and build the same dynamic but in a slightly different scenario or are just cute (hybrid stuff, for example, that's just fluffy nonsense).

i love spiderbit because of how they are in canon. how the characters act in those circumstances, how they got together, how they built and maintained their relationship, all of it. that's what appeals to me, not just how they look or whatever.

and i get just wanting to draw them in different outfits, that does make sense to me, it's the like obsession with putting them in a million scenarios that have nothing to do with who they are that gets to me. how does an ancient greek setting illuminate anything about their dynamic? im sure there's some writer out there who could make that work well, but theyre not in this fandom, and it would still be far less interesting to me than their actual canonical dynamic with all of the context and history behind it.

and guapoverse is like explicitly a way for twitter fans to try to make spiderbit their ocs, since it primarily got big around when the server admin stuff was coming out and everyone wanted to semi-distance themselves. and at that point it's like well just actually go make your own ocs, don't pretend they're not from the qsmp. you cannot strip these characters of the context of the server. sometimes you have to deal with the fact that you enjoyed something that was made under less than ideal circumstances. that doesn't make you a bad person. pretending that the characters have nothing to do with that is annoying and ridiculous, though. acknowledge the context and live with it.

aus are fine. there's nothing morally wrong with them, mostly i just like to complain because they're not my ideal type of fanwork. but i find it extremely annoying that there's very little canon compliant works in this fandom (and mcyt generally) and wish people cared more about the actual dynamic between the characters.

She did give them to him!!! She thought it would make him seem more approachable (it didnt) to talk to and maybe could let him interact with the mortals better. He wears them regardless without needed them to see (its more of an aesthetic thing and because it was a gift)

AS FOR THE YAKSHA, in MY universe (THIS I KNOW IS ABSOLUTELY NOT CANON SO TAKE EVERYTHING WITH A GRAIN OF SALT X"D my au my rules /lh) he is the creator of all Yaksha and adepti. He started by giving animals human forms with god like prowess (the adepti who prefer their animal forms since theyve seen how disgusting humans can be)... He made the adepti with one objective in mind- additional protectors of Liyue.

Now Karma works WAY different in my world than the original whilst still keeping aspects of it. Karma works by a build up highly negative emotions stemming from slain entities period. The way Zhongli's soul works is that it latches onto his soul like a parasite and spreads throughout his body like a parasite. Because he's been alive for so long, it doesn't really phase him but he has a LOT of Karmic debt. Thus he creates the Yakshas to split the Karma with, while disguising it as an excuse to make extra help. A different breed of Adepti, stemming into a more humanoid form instead of animalistic. Xiao was created for this purpose as well, along side the other Yaksha generals. (This is also where my Yaksha oc comes into play.)

Any time Zhongli feels his Karma is too much to deal with, he evens it out with all of his Yaksha kin. The adepti are untouched- as he made them to be. He did not intend for them to take on any of his Karma- thats what the Yaksha were made for. Now TECHNICALLY Zhongli broke a rule just as Eugeria had, by creating a species outside of the permission of the HP and Celestia, but he had lived long enough to disguise them as being summoned from another dimension. They did not reek of Morax's kin, so they had a pass.

NOW REGARDING HU TAO- He still has a good relationship with her! They're friends because she knows how to talk to him and interest him in ways he didn't know possible. (NOT A SHIP, at least I didnt intend it to be seen as so-) So she took him under her wing when she saw him looking for jobs after he was 'reborn' and started teaching him about how her job works and so on. He took a great interest in her because why the hell was she so enthusiastic about death??? Not in the murderer way, but like the concept of it fascinates Hu tao. Zhongli has seen far too much death in many different shapes and forms so he was practically unphased by it, but when he told her stories- the way her eyes lit up in interest when he told them made him pause. So theyre pretty close friends and Hu Tao loves to tease him gently like a good friend would- but she does keep her respectful professional personality when it came to work. She's a hard worker.

As for Xiao, he's as close to him as he is with all of the Yaksha. He didn't morn the same way humans do when they passed away or tore themselves apart because they couldn't handle the Karma- he would morn in a very almost selfish manner? One of his kin passed away- his own creation passing away was indeed saddening but it was more so upsetting because he didn't have as many vessels to carry parts of his Karma. (So in a way, he is the sole reason why Xiao is suffering, and Xiao knows this but will never ever betray Zhongli.)

TO THE TOPIC OF THE YAKSHA OC I OWN, Zhongli knows almost everything about his kin, like a rough approximation of where they are. The Yaksha in question made a contract with him long ago, to stop serving Liyue and to protect others outside of it. Of course Morax did not like this one bit, but he only agreed if the Yaksha was going to bare most of the Karma for the others, along with coming directly to Liyue if he needed them again. They agreed and the contract was made.

I hope this kinda explains how he is!!! He's kind of.... not as elegant and good willed as the original Zhongli, but he's more of a neutral aspect when it comes to duties kinda thing (i think..if that made any sense omg jkdsfksdjh)

the issue with tcm they take it seriously like theyre actually good writers and devs when they just plain suck so it never lands and ngl the outfits werent good except for lelands because they were all just girls in bras and virginias was a really hideous red. i know straight men will love it but its lazy as shit imo. RIGHT shes a really good character in my opinion and shes really well voice acted, i just hope they come out with a new hair pack like they promised way back last year because that damn bob...like shes serving in everything else but that damn bob. ALSO DRAG THAT GINNY HATER, she deserves all the love in the world, ive actually had to take a break from playing her because i hate seeing her die but its good ngl because im also levelling up other characters.

thing is leland is fine but ive gotten bored, you know? like give me LORE. they need a storymode or something. like this isnt just leland but really just all of them aside from ana, virginia and maria because i feel like we know the most about those guys whereas all the others are just friends with each other and thats it - like ok leland has a crush on julie but they havent really shown it besides like him calling her jules. sonny also has a gf that they said theyd never make in the game. this is different from friday the 13th because they never gave us a storyline so we could do what we wanted with those characters and make them our own, thats what i really liked about that (not saying i hate tcm because of that but theyre just so inconsistent).

i knowwww they didn’t try at all😭 i get why the girls are bras/bikinis but none of them even have a matching bottom piece really… it’s just shorts iirc which are basically the same as connie’s shorts but copy and pasted into each of the girls. i wish there was more variety in the sense that each was an expression of themselves, maybe one of the girls covers up more than the other because of insecurity and whatnot, but danny and sonny and leland’s are really good and different for the three guys, but they couldn’t bother doing that with the girls? we couldn’t dare get a shirtless danny or leland but we got all the girls with their boobs and jiggle physics?? like okay. and it’s such a shame cause if they’re gonna do fun stuff like that, why don’t they just do more flashy 70s outfits? give us actually fun outfits that i’ve seen people come up with, give us outfits that give us new lore about the characters. like we have gotten 3 outfit packs with leland where he’s just wearing a jacket/longsleeve (rip leland’s wrestling singlet as an outfit🤧)

and so real about the lore. i wish they would give us a drop of these characters that didn’t make the cut in game. truly, they could make a post on their website with info and that would be enough. but they’re so lazy and unwilling to do anything besides the bare minimum 😭

AND I KNOWWWWW it’s so crazy to see her go from a gory movie like that to school spirits which is pretty tame on the blood and stuff and especially with her character. and ofc wally would take up a leland-esque roll (when the devs said leland would die first trying to protect everyone… that’s def wally). omg also WHO. which disney princess turned prince?? but also real, i hate when people turn every princess into a catty twink.. the homophobia is crazy. especially when it’s like a tomboy character like that would definitely be a big strong man if the were gender swapped.

I kinda get that about the gay thing but I also don't cause I think it will always work best with the dynamic it's written in, like I couldn't imagine Tate x violet from AHS as anything other than a boy and a girl because of the messaging and manipulation (except I also know what you mean because Tate is a boykisser and even tho he killed a gay couple, he's actually gay himself and wants some wet hole). and nooo omfg, that must have been a spook. all these whiny bitches were posting about it since the beginning of the season that they didn't want him to move on and now he actually might be, so I can imagine the frantic posting when that last scene in the finale came on. and yeah I hope they don't Steve him and he's just mentioned to have moved on. it'll suck and won't make sense but tbh I think he's been Steve'd. Not as bad as Steve but he's basically become a character that only exists to do the thing people like them for over and over again and have no real development or be seen with respect by any of the other characters so yayyyyyy love that. Again, I think it's not as bad as Steve's writing over the seasons in stranger things but they did make a few jokes at his expense in season 2 that I didn't really like. And yeah, I like that Wally becomes more selfish when he's with a girl and changes because of Maddie, but I hate that we hardly see any growth from him that would be a reason for him to move on. (Which suggests that the only reason he could move on was Maddie but it still doesn't make sense as to why THAT is the ticket to go to the afterlife for him. I get he's "the support" but he helps basically everyone this season except himself and doubles down on acting out for someone else, which he literally acknowledged in the previous season as the thing that got him killed so???) I love that he got worse and it should've been explored as maybe a way to set ghosts back from moving on, but they kinda just say that mr Martin was at fault for the whole thing for making them focus on their past and stuff? And yeah omfg I need rough douchey Wally and getting the confirmation that he and his football team were homophobic is so so hot but he goes from defending his actions in the beginning of the episode to suddenly talking with charley about how he feels bad and isn't like that anymore? And yeah unfortunately all the basic bitches are gonna dictate where his character goes in season 3 if he returns and if they get a season 3

Hey anon! Its been a while huh? I gotta tell u ive been thinking about answering u for a while but this time was the busiest work has gotten and its been so tough to not just get home and sleep lol. But I also been working on this too.

First off, it makes total sense and its super interesting to think about. Ben and Sora are just two sides of the same main character idiot lol. The Kevin/Riku swap was a no brainer, but I feel a sassy Lil sis Kairi works too well and Ben struggling between two love interests works best. Imagine all the Sora aliens tho. He probably would name them the same because theyre both lame XD. Also Bens keyblade looks so cool and sleek. And Kevin with a car keyblade is TOO perfect XDDD.

I was also thinking about how the others could fit into this. Obviously I want anyone with even the slight relation to Ben to be in the Heart Squad. Gwen being Ven may be a stretch personality wise but the fact Gwen is her own person like Ven made it work in my eyes. Also Ellie making Bree (a twin OC that shouldnt exist) made her being Roxas so heartbreaking. Albedo and Vanitas is obvious lol. Eunice and Xion are both experiments that wanna be their own people. Nami being Julie is more that she has Kairi aspects and is also really sweet like Julie. Also Nami with a Ship equivalent is too cute. And of course Roxas being someone who isn't real. Big oof. Also Ellies story with Bree in her own Ben 10 AU makes it even worse. Ill just say he was missing for a long time.

Anyway very interesting question and I hope u keep asking me things 🙏 I appreciate u so much and Im definitely gonna try and answer more often.

i try my BEST not to let fandom get in my way of how i view ships bc i always see ships in a non canonical way. so if you want you can fold a ship into whatever way you want whether its aus, fix it fics, or whatever. i especially try not to let the popularity of a ship get in the way of how much i like a ship, im very fond of rarepairs and crackships but i dont consider myself someone who cant bring themselves to like popular ships or even brags about liking.. ANYTHING that isnt mainstream

but there comes a POINT where when ALL of the content you see for a character youre fond of is ABOUT A SINGLE SHIP that you start hating the ship and maybe even the other character involved. it hurts even more when its a ship you fell out of love with.

yes, im talking soudam AGAIN bc kazuichi has rotted my brain so badly that i feel like i cant even go a single day without thinking of him, AND I BARELY EVEN INTERACT W/ THE DR FANDOM ANYMORE. one of my ocs was just a genderbent au i made of him that looked distinct enough i just took it and ran. thats how bad it is. (tbh i do just like the color pink and... sharp.. teeth.. so thats probably why. hes pathetic too which just makes it x2 as good)

look, i dont think that ppl who ship soudam are inherently bad ppl. i dont really care about what ppl ship as long as theyre 1) not shipping real ppl and 2) not shoving it in other peoples faces. and i dont see any soudam shippers directly doing that. i was a soudam shipper, and honestly, i can see why ppl ship it. its an interesting dynamic.

bbbutt.. i dont ship it!  i personally dont care for it anymore, or even just general dr stuff. i should probably get into dr stuff more sense i feel like other than skullgirls and cookie run, im a bit lost when it comes to fandoms nowadays. but i still really like kazuichi and, by extension, sonia and their ship sounia. so every now and then i look for content abt them whether its for comfort or horniness, or just bc i want to. and a big theme i see is soudam. everywhere. its not unbareable especially on a site like tumblr where i can block certain tags and words. but even with that blocking, soudam can still clog it up meaning its harder for me to find content i like.

its even worse when some of that content is intentionally made to spam tags. an example would be what happened on instagram a while back, im not sure if that many other people noticed it, where ppl would spam dr ship tags with things such as “hey ur ship sucks xoxo”, feet, and in the worst case scenario, gore and self harm.

its even worse (take a sip everytime i say that) when you bring in stuff like antis and proshippers which, IS A CAN OF WORMS I DO NOT WANT TO GO INTO. i dont use either label, i hate antis but i really fucking hate proshippers. which is why i dont like ppl labeling all sounia shippers as proshippers because.. no. no i am not. you cant dictate what side someone is on in a silly shipping war based of a single thing they like. i know damn well there are sounia shippers who are proship, anti, somewhere in the middle, and the same can be said abt soudam shippers. which is why i hate how soudam shippers are seen as morally good and sounia shippers are seen as gross. i just wanna see some pathetic lil guy try and fail to woo a girl, i dont wanna argue about what ship is superior. neither are illegal, so they are both equal.  

in conclusion; there are and will be a lot of soudam shippers. i dont care. i just want to be left alone, but soudam is hard to ignore. dont try to call any soudam shippers poopyheads, lets all just try to be nice and respect one another. sorry if this seems like a hate rant, because it is. i am frustrated. didnt mean for this to become an 8 paragraph essay, but thats just what happened.

okay i promised id do it and im doing it: Explaining The Plot Of That AU I’m Vague About: The Post

(as i was preparing to write this i actually got my 250th follower, which slapped)

so i’m just gonna start with the simple version, which is this: it’s a rebel AU which primarily centers around the tallest, who are both defective. they give up on trying to make any meaningful changes as figureheads, and instead direct their attention to being involved with the “neo defect revolution,” or NDR. they do manage to make one change as tallest- there is a garbage dump planet turned into a sanctuary for defectives (who in this au are executed once discovered,) and eventually enough of the populace finds out about it that the tallest have to deal with it. they finesse their way into kicking it out of the empire, so now it’s its own planet with its own rules, governments, and most importantly, immigration policies and protections

a lot of stuff happens and it’s gonna be structured using arcs, and each arc has a separate protagonist/deuteragonist/tritagonist lineup (but that doesnt mean the same lineup won’t be used multiple times!) and yes the insane list of OCs are for this au alone: some arcs are very OC-centric, some have OCs as supporting characters, and a couple are all-OC or mostly-OC. 

its going to be very longform and it’ll span from the tallest’s elite training days to twenty years after zim arrives on earth. (the 20 year gap btwn zim arriving on earth and the story proper isnt as tightly plotted as later tho.) the point is to see how a revolution on the scale of the NDR works, who was fucked over by defact laws, who was fucked over by other laws, etc. theres a lot of lore and a lot of headcanons i made for this AU and even a conlang. i am a being of hubris. itll be a series of fics, some multichapter and some oneshots. 

the series as a whole is gonna be called Invader Zim: Annexed or just Annexed for short. its a pun on an irken word that sounds similar but means the exact opposite. i am not explaining more bc itll be explained in the fic itself. but thats why the tag for it is #anx lmao

i didnt mean for this to be as long as it got but under the cut im gonna breakdown some of the early arcs:

so it all starts with a fanfic called Love Is The H-Word (no the “h-word” isn’t “hell.) it centers around red and purple as elites-in-training, who do a little whoopsie and have an egg. purple doesnt wanna smuggle it into a smeetery, bc then he’ll never see it again, so they go to the defect sanctuary (still a part of the empire at this point.) purple knows he’s defective while red has a hard time accepting that he is as well, due to events from his past. but being around all these other defects are starting to wear down his denial, and the fic is all about that. it also sets up some plot stuff, like how defects adopted a self-identifier in the word “heretic,” hence the sanctuary being named, “heretirk.” (hey look my url!) (no, the “h-word” is not heretic, either.) 

i dont wanna say what happens in that fic bc spoilers, but stuff Happens. its also when we meet some ocs that end up being important, and the existence of others are foreshadowed. this is also where we meet the tallests’ future advisor, rarl kove, for the first time, as a local who decides to keep them company. purple bonds with kove due to their shared interest in politics, while red reluctantly bonds with titch, a young irken (a smeet in heretirken standards, an adult in imperial standards- did i mention he and red are roughly the same age? lol) who is interested in military stuff and thrill-seeking and general destruction. titch is pissed because he claims his father is stealthing on devastis as a military commander, but won’t let titch sneak in as a soldier, as titch is deaf. 

(fun facts: in the au, “titch” is regional slang for “a little bit.” ironically, titch the character is above-average in height.)

due to titch’s deafness, he developed “gesturespeak,” irken sign language, so he can communicate. this existing becomes important later

a oneshot called invade the system is right after h-word in publishing order. it details zim’s exploits in leaving foodcourtia, where he was assigned and infiltrating the invading academy he eventually graduates from (in this au, zim is too short to be an invader, which sucks because the hight minimums for the military are really short to begin with lmao)

the fic chronoligically after H-Word focuses on red and purple being back in their platoon on devastis, specifically red navigating his training and his relationships with two defective platoonmates, pon and zi (who are in h-word a little,) after the realization that he too is defective. it also focuses on how the irken military works, and how they train their soldiers. 

the first arc overall focuses on red and purple going thru training and such, and ends after they graduate and are on the field, working to get commander rank. (they planned to gain commander rank then leave and go back to heretirk to train an army there, as heretirk has.... no army.) in the middle of this, they’re pulled out and told they are to become the next tallest. they debate over staying and taking the job or just running to heretirk, and they ultimately decide to stay.

the next arc i call the “bridge,” tbh. its less tightly plotted than the other arcs; fics are spread apart from each other chronologically and all that. it spans the time after the tallest being appointed to a little after zim arrives on earth. it also has a couple of anthologies focusing on imperial defects- each chapter is a new character. these guys are all important and the easiest way for me to introduce their backstories without cluttering everything up is anthology style, lmao. other things that happen are a look into how the tallest work, eventually culminating with the resolution of the tallest having to Deal With Heretirk, tenn’s rescue from meekrob, and zim on earth obtaining a half-irken smeet named pip due to stealing an Unethical Science Experiment from dib (which is pip.) the bridge is basically just. “heres some stuff that happens between point A and point B so when we get to point B you’re not confused as all hell.” 

the next arc focuses on zim. in the first fic, pip is sick and zim is trying to get into his neighbor’s pants, to cope. this basically sets up that zim in this au has no idea how to find personal fulfillment in living- he’s only OK if he focuses on pleasing someone else, be it taking care of pip or doting on the neighbor, some rando human named piqu (pronounced, “peek.”) this is mainly a cute romance story with the underlying veneer of “a child is slowly and painfully dying” in the background. fun! 

without spoiling the circumstances, zim and pip end up on heretirk, which at this point is its own independent planet. pip is in the hospital for most of it so zim has to do his own thing. computer fans rejoice bc hes basically zims dad at this point, who tells him to go outside and get some fresh air and talk to the locals instead of schmooping or screaming in anxiety. im sneakily introducing more characters like ini, the “next-gen zim;” a short bio-engineer (she works on PAKs) who was constantly passed over by everyone because they dont trust someone that short or they dont trust someone that spazzy, even though shes actually brilliant. also her brother mo, who’s a pilot that NOBODY will teach military-class ships to (at this point, HTK has a population of ex-military that had their old ships, but still no formal army) because he doesnt talk and they think hes “slow” as a result. for the curious, he is physically able to talk most times, he just doesnt like it. zim ends up teaching him how to fly military-class which ends up being important laterrr

no really, theyre quadruplets. named ini, myni, minie, and mo. these are real characters. 

minie isnt introduced till later. shes too cool to be the side character in someone elses arc. she is feel uncomfortable when we are not about her.

myni is busy palling around with pip and pip’s friend “elly” (real name elevenn, with two N’s.) elly is a half-meekrob War Crime Baby and tenn’s smeet. he has vision problems (he can “see” energy signatures of things, as opposed to conventional sight. everything is monochrome and he has to really focus to see like, words on a paper. also fuck tablets) but the trade-up is telekinetic powers (that he cant use too much or his brain will melt. fun!) this isnt relevant until the arc AFTER zim’s, where they end up poking around a historical site due to myni’s interest in that kind of thing, and they find logs of an old revolution (that was actually pretty successful in their goal, before they were caught and executed,) that lead them to a man named lefy. he helps with revolutions and helped these guys, and the trio go to seek him out; myni because he wants to impress his parents with helping them, pip because after they’ve recovered enough to walk around and do stuff, feel like they need to justify the choice to save their life and make their dad proud and all that, elly because he doesnt want pip to get hurt and die. And thats where the stuff REALLY starts happening and i cant tell u more sorry

this seemed kind of disjointed but thats bc i cant really be too detailed otherwise id like.... spoil it lmfao. but thats the summary of the first few arcs.

when I started shipping it if I did: honestly that’s really difficult to pinpoint? i’ve always liked their dynamic ever since i started watching, but at first i mostly liked them platonically? and then it was a combo of seeing some really nice art that probably wasn’t even meant to be shippy in the first place and also the scene where jester gets the tarot deck, and i was overwhelmed with emotions about their relationship and somewhere along the way i was like “haha but what if they kissed” and then. and then.

my thoughts: they’re so underrated and so good? i honestly think they’d have the potential to be such a dynamic duo, two chaos-loving tieflings who love life and want to spread joy and chaos in the world. they have so much in common but have their differences as well and i just think they could be so fun!!!

What makes me happy about them: the fact that theyre just so fun!!! a big reason why they’re such a comfort ship to me is that they both have very light-hearted personalities!!!

What makes me sad about them: molly’s death in 26 ksfdjdkjfhgk (and even considering certain spoilery circumstances........hoooo boy i just hope nothing happens that’ll sink the ship for good. bls mercer we’re just a teeny rowboat,,,,,,)

things done in fanfic that annoys me: i kinda wish there were more g and t rated fics of them? of course, smut is great and i do pretty much consume nearly everything (emphasis on nearly) that gets put in the tag, but sometimes i just wanna see fic of them that isn’t just sexual you know? and in the case of smut i’m not a fan of making molly the more sexually aggressive one of the duo; i think they’d be pretty equal in that regard. 

things I look for in fanfic: again i’d love to see more g and t rated fics of them! if there was a longfic of them i’d just about die of happiness. as of now since there’s so little content of them, i’ll read nearly anything with them (again, emphasis on nearly). but especially i’m mostly looking for them having that same sort of dynamic they do in canon, except with more kissing and cuddling. i also love seeing jester being the one to initiate something between the two of them! also aus, but i just love aus in general

Who I’d be comfortable them ending up with, if not each other: for jester, i love beaujes and b/y/j a lot! caliester (aka cali/jester aka pen pal gfs) is also severely underrated. for molly, i think teacaddy could be pretty cute and interesting, and i think shadowmauk is neat. but in general i think i’m a bit more picky in terms of molly ships than jester ships

My happily ever after for them: i actually kind of have this fic idea where when other characters...i don’t think settle down is the right word, but when the other characters start to get their own places (like for instance i love the idea of caleb and essek opening an academy together), molly and jester still want to spread joy and chaos wherever they do, and why not do that together? so they set off on their own adventures, just the two of them (maybe joined once in a while by a friendly npc or guest pc, or sometimes another m9 member will drop by because they sure arent completely done yet!) spreading joy, causing mischief, and solving crime in their own chaotic way! anyway i think that would be fun and neat; i even made tiefling ocs for them to encounter even though i know i’ll never be writing this fic kdjhfdkjh

who is the big spoon/little spoon: they switch pretty often i imagine, but i’m extremely tickled by the image of jester being the big spoon because i imagine molly being a full foot taller than her and i just think it’d be so cUTE--

what is their favorite non-sexual activity: arts and crafts of course! they’re both painters and i can easily imagine both of them sewing as well; i just think they’d have a ton of fun creating art together--designing cards, clothes, and of course tattoos!

k so first off this au take place during like the end of rebels through a few years post ROTJ. also a everybody lives au so its more happy. 

ok so basically the oc i made for the au is this boy right here:

he is the son of kallus and zeb ok. hes half human half lasat and he is a himbo and he likes to pick people up when he hugs them. he loves his dads and his friends.

well thats him as an adult, but for most of this au he is going to be in this little group here as a child:

left to right: ben solo (13), poe dameron (14), my oc who doesnt have a name yet if anyone wants to help out w that (14), finn skywalker (12), rey skywalker(9).yes i changed all thier birth years basically and no i do not give a shit. also poe has bleached tips because my little brother whos the same age does too and if theres a latine character i will project my family onto them and thats that on that.

so basically wedge antilles and luke skywalker got married becasue idk if you have noticed but wedgeluke is my favorite ship and so it has to be in every au.... so theyre married and they adopt 2 kids and those kids are rey and finn they rescue both of them from stormtrooper recruiting ppl so yeah. ben is emo, but he is an alright kid. r*ylo is non existent bc they're cousins. finnpoe will happen when they get a bit older like in their early 20s. poe has his old backstory with his awesome x wing mom back so luke and wedge are his godparents. here take some art of wedge and luke w rey in modern clothes. why? becasue i wanted to draw it:

they all grow up togetehr in the end of the rebellion and the emergence of the new republic and they all live together becasue i mean i dont think anyone wants to just fuck off onto whatever planet and be alone w/o thier friends after all this, with the exception of a few things like zeb and kallus went to lira san but came back to raise thier son with a bunch of other kids around his age bc i mean its probably better for him and zeb reads parenting books so he is concerned with that type of thing. and ben will go to lukes school but yeah. anyways the rebels crew and the OT crew and ya know what the R1 crew too are friends and try to give advice to the kids and stuff. me and my friend talked abt teen!finnpoe and like poe and my oc going around asking the adults how they got together and the couples are like. han/leia, wedge/luke, hera/kanan, zeb/kallus, sabine/my friends lady mandalorian oc, ezra/tristan...... like none of these couples knew how to flirt or anything they were all disasters so no one has any advice ad force ghost anakin is like have you tried floating a pear but poe doesnt have the force so like uncle lando drops in to give advice but its not age appropriate so the other adults r like bro stop. anyways. this au im gonna make connect to my other idea which was that instead of worsipping darth vader, ben looks up to anakin and sees how even after going to the dark side he was able to redeem himself and be good so even tho he is being pulled to the dark he looks to anakin for support so he can try to be like him, hes still gonna turn evil but he will turn good again in the end but that happens later so all thats importnant for this little au here is that ben likes to listen to my chemical romance. finn and rey are the best siblings and rey looks up to her older brother sm and he is always trying to look out for her. theyre both force sensitive so theyre both training to be jedi too. ok that might be everything so far but if i think of more ill reblog this post and add on. if you read this i love you omg and i hope you like my oc and my au even tho its purely self indulgent and i changed basically everything just to have this sappy cutesy au

GOD okay. ok ok ok ok ive had a few concepts of a futuristic violence and fancy suits inspired futago au where shido as a hyper rich capitalist dies and futaba inherits everything so goro goes to get her with no ulterior motives whatsoever :) and naturally everything goes to shit bc he was shidos hitman etc etc and like. the reveal where it comes out that he was taking her to try and get the inheritance is one i thought abt a LOT........... but im never going to write this au so uh. u kno.

A splash of water; Shuu yelped and tilted back on instinct, flailing as he tipped over. realtalk pef is big and popular enough that i Know there are ppl missing my intentions which is.......... odd. i dont necessarily mind but its still weird. actually ive had this happen on non pef things but it’s still weird u kno. pef is just the most visible one wwwwww

i think the biggest surprise is that................. i don’t like futago half-sibs theory GHLKSDHGLKDHG i kno its p popular in futaba+goro fan circles but like. its so boring to me. adds nothing to their dynamic. so much of ftb’s journey is learning to love her New family (ren n sojiro) and having her suddenly Forgive Akechi for Being Her Half Sib is so weird to me. i think there’s potential to explore the concept in an interesting manner tbh (poitns at a certain doc i got) but like. 99% of the time i dont like it

I use canon as a base to grow from. Ofc a lot of my characterisation is HC based, or taking tiny bits of canon and twisting it a little. I try to follow canon where I can on Tseng -- but a lot of that is trying to analyse lines and mannerisms that might mean absolutely nothing.

He has so much depth and detail -- His entire character is based around two ideas; Nothing is more precious than a life AND Anything to complete a mission. The mental conflict is so fun to write and play with, its so fun to pick him apart

It’s can be really hard to write with him considering he’s quite... Uncontactable? I suppose. It’s hard to put him in certain situations

Because he’s an important character in the lives of other characters(in particular; Aerith, Zack, the Turks), my Tseng might absolutely conflict with the Tsengs people write into their backstories and thats so valid 

What inspired you to rp your muse?  

I really wanted to write a Turk. I really wanted to write someone within ShinRa because there are so many wonderful ShinRa blogs and I wanted to interact with them from the same side, not as Cloud. And Lazard and Angeal weren’t giving me that so... A new muse. Reno was out because my partner is going to write him eventually -- even if I have to bully them into it. And then Tseng wasn’t going to be my choice either because I know a friend had mentioned writing him once? And i didnt want to step on toes. But Rude isn’t my type and I kept getting drawn back to Tseng. 

So I made a blog for a character I barely knew and fell in love with him entirely

What keeps your inspiration going?

I really love meta. I love having a character I can deconstruct and pick apart and just completely unravel. Tseng is really good for that and.. It’s not overdone? I started getting really self conscious about my Cloud because there are so many Clouds. With Tseng I feel a little less lost in a sea of duplicates. -- I don’t follow any duplicates on this blog because Tseng was such a new muse and I was terrified of accidentally stealing HCs and ideas. 

So yeah deconstructing canon is really fun for me. But so is talking to people, plotting with people and building characters relationships. 

And honestly, people keep praising my dialogue and I cannot put into words how much that inspires me to keep writing. Dialogue is one of my favourite things to write and I’m so so glad people think it’s good.

Not really. Mostly because the things I write tend to be based off layers of unseen headcanons and thoughts. I feel like, if I got criticism that I didn’t request, I’d end up rambling and trying to justify myself and then feeling very off. I don’t write for anyone besides myself and my writing partners. There are other Tsengs you can write with if you don’t like mine. 

What I do accept tho, is suggestions. More from people I write with but like ‘hey instead of X have you considered Y’. 

Do you like questions, which help you explore your character?

If someone disagrees to a headcanon of yours, do you want to know why?  

Theyre welcome to disagree with me but i dont see the point of making that known. I don’t expect everyone to agree with what I write - but I don’t necessarily need them to tell me.

The exception here is backstory. Personally, I have headcanons around Tseng being the one to teach Rufus to shoot. Thats not blog canon because I don’t put people in weird positions. If its headcanon based on other muses and the muns of said muses dont agree, im more interested in that discussion. 

If someone disagrees with your portrayal, how would you take it?

I truly dont mind. I write Tseng how I want to write him and thats that. Though people dont need to tell me they dont like my content. I dont know why people feel so entitled to that. just unfollow me and move on

If someone really hates your character, how do you take it?

I don’t care? People are allowed to hate characters. Just dont like, aggressively hate my muse @ me?

Yeah I’m just... chill. Im very low maintenance as a friend too, you dont need to talk to me a lot or anything to keep me interested.

WHEN YOU NOTICE THE PLOTTING IS RATHER ONE-SIDED, WHAT DO YOU DO?:  i don’t mind! sometimes ppl have more ideas that they want to share first and i’m always super happy to listen to those ideas !! sometimes its nice to have someone with a clear guide or structure and be able to work around that rather than trying to fumble through a plot together.

HOW DO YOU USUALLY PLOT WITH OTHERS, DO YOU GIVE INPUT OR LEAVE MOST WORK TOWARDS YOUR PARTNER?:  i try to map out some basic info abt their characters that i otherwise don’t know from their bio or verses and try to pick out points of confrontation or similarities to expand on with giselle that can be used as points for like a starter to happen. its either that or sometimes i have really stupid ideas i just toss out there like ‘LMAO THEYRE BREAKING SHIT AT DISNEYLAND’ and go buck wild from there if the other person is down. i also always try to warn people or get a gauge for what subjects to avoid and steer clear of considering that giselle is a bit of a Freak(tm) and will say and do bad things.

WHEN A PARTNER DROPS THE THREAD, DO YOU WISH TO KNOW?:   YES / NO / DEPENDS. - And why?: if there’s something giselle did or said that upset you, i would love to know not to repeat it again (since i do still feel pretty new to the rp game, theres still plenty of time for me to make stupid mistakes). if its just a general lack of interest or uncertainty of where the plot should go, then you dont have to tell me i wont take it personally i promise !

WISHLIST, BE IT PLOTS OR SCENARIOS:  OH SO MANY! ive managed to fulfil a lot of my wishlist threads with like, giselle talking to characters she’s already zombified and i love all that angst but i want to do more stupid shit. i want to make it my personal goal to bully every quincy man and woman on sight. although a REAL dream would be if i got to write a thread zombifying a character who managed to escape giselle’s clutches. and more fighting! i want to get better at describing action and fights and i love to write giselle getting beat up and beating people up! more more more!! 

THEMES I WON’T EVER RP / EXPLORE:   hohoho theres a LOT... uh r*pe/dubcon threads for one, even if yeah i know writing it doesnt condone it, it makes me intensely uncomfortable to put my muse in that scenario, i feel like i have an obligation to like, protect her from that shit you know? racism is one i don’t want to transgress, even though i’m a poc, its not really cathartic or groundbreaking to write abt racism in threads its just... really fucking upsetting. also i know the quincy’s have this very close parallel to the whole n*zi imagery and ideology thing going on and i am not about to start even daring to thread that into my writing or bring those allusions and references of real life tragedies into giselle’s threads. i’ve already talked at length abt exploring giselles trans identity in rp and why im not comfortable doing so, so.... yeah! all those i guess.

WHAT TYPE OF STARTERS DO YOU PREFER / DISLIKE, CAN’T WORK WITH?: i like starters where giselle can just immediately get right into being a piece of shit. mise en scene and all that! cut out the build up and just get to the intense horror !! i don’t like starters where its not immediately clear where the characters are standing and what they’re doing and what’s happening around them. those really disorientate me and leave me kinda floundering because i always need some allusion or mention of a setting to ground giselle in a time and place other wise i cant tell what her response should be
