Mumbo and Grian are never beating the "since s8 we share a soul now and have adopted certain characteristics from each other due to that like building and redstone" allegations with these new episodes, aren't they
Stress: Can I have my ball back please?
Jevin: We could kill you.
Iskall: No you couldn't. That's funny, but you couldn't.
Xisuma, putting up his shield: I've got a shield, Jev, look.
Xisuma, putting it back down: Can't kill a man with a shield.
[Jevin hits him.]
Xisuma, panicked: OOoOOAAaoOoaaH!!!
[Xisuma flees and takes flight. Everyone else laughs.]
[Xisuma plays a horn that has a clip of him howling like a wolf as he departs.]
also you know what while we're at it. went back to get a clip of. bdubs briefly seriously thinking scar was going to send cleo pictures of his chest irl. for some reason,
I'm probably gonna do Bdubs, Joel and Gem later, but for now take this graph
Some things to note:
I do not want the Hermits to be aware of this graph, because while making it I realized I would hate to see this if I were a Hermit. I made this for my own data-driven curiousity only
I am a human so I there is a chance that I missed 1 or 2 names somewhere along the line. I will reblog this with the raw data for if anyone wants to check my measurements
Bdubs, Tango and Gem are the top 3 most frequent mentioned Hermits in Etho's videos, do with that information what you will
Bdubs is the only hermit Etho has mentioned every single video, for some reason, what is wrong with him
Stress and Zedaph are (afaik) the only Hermits who's names are never said by Etho, but they do both appear and talk in his videos
This larger ground-based form is built for running, leaping, and bullying one's way around in the early Hermitcraft season game, which makes it the perfect trifecta. With it's much smaller wings, Grian cannot fly but has the highest hand dexterity of all his forms, which really frees up the fingers for more chaos.
B. Scarlet Macaw (Ara macao)
This flighted form is preferred for building throughout the Hermitcraft season. The strong grip-strength and bright eye-catching colors make it easy to weave around high-up builds and oblivious basemates. Tool use is a bit harder with wings but luckily macaws also have great dexterity with their feet as well, making hammering in planks upside down a hundred blocks up a breeze.
the first of my own art challenge for me called Pesky Bird by Pesky Bird that details the many bird-forms of a shapeshifting grian over series, seasons, and aus.
these first two are personal favorites, the fanon scarlet macaw grian and my own velociraptor grian
actually this comes out of the tags: I know some people hate it, but I honestly love how the hermits will keep design traits from many seasons ago in their fanart. it’s like. the hermits may change over time, sometimes drastically. and their designs may change a lot over time with both canon skin changes and fanon trend changes. but so often some little solidified bit of fanon just… stays, season to season. just little pieces of bits that haven’t been relevant for four seasons, kept alive in some way through how we perceive the people who did them.
