we get over 100 pages worth of bella and edward in love and banging and bella outwardly expressing to both us and edward that this is what’s stopping her from wanting to be turned - something she’s been so adamant about since twilight! - and yet smeyer’s view of a happy ever after to destroy the humanity of her characters (and not just bella) and for her to endure a gruesome pregnancy and have them become teenage parents. something they obviously didn’t want. something they’re now stuck with. this is not happiness for them! for bella! for edward! for jacob! FOR ANYONE!!!!

why would you inflict more terror on your characters? you can have conflict without the pregnancy mess; you can resolve the treaty conflict without jacob imprinting; you can turn bella into a vampire and even delay that WITHOUT A FUCKING PREGNANCY - and instead let her go to college. let us get fluff. let her rework her friendships and have a new perspective on life. let her feel like those things will slip from her and then she realizes after she’s turned that she can still see charlie and renée and jacob and everyone else. you can do both of those things and also get rid of so much of this book and also still have jacob’s pov. but NOOOOO more pain, more unnecessary conflict and predatory plot points, more terror and nightmares and suffering and stereotypes and racist writing because we’re stuck in smeyer’s narrow-minded universe

Something felt... wrong.

Marc had gotten into another argument with Khonshu; it was something petty, ridiculous even, but Marc just had to run his mouth and complain. Khonshu had gotten sick of the disrespect he had been receiving from the three men, so he made his choice.

They felt a shift in themselves, like a piece of them had been ripped away.

"G-Guys..."

He turned around, the sight before him made it feel like all the oxygen was ripped from his lungs. His lover stood before him, dawning the Mark of Khonshu...

Marc Spector

He rushed to them, taking their face into his hands.

"Oh god what have I done?!" He cried. He spun around the room, trying his hardest to spot the deity. "Khonshu you bastard! Release them! Please! I'll give you my life but do not take them from me!"

"Marc!" They called. "Please just calm down-"

"Quiet, child." Khonshu silenced them. Marc could feel the deity's presence.

"Marc Spector; you have disrespected me for the last time. I had warned you once before, and now you love will suffer the consequences of your actions."

"Damn you!" Marc tried to blindly attack Khonshu, but it was pointless. He watched helplessly as his love's precious face was covered by the Moon Knight mask. They slowly approached his weeping form, gently cradling his head in their hands as they lifted his head up.

"Hey... it's okay." They said softly. "I'll be safe, and Khonshu will protect me."

"He won't. He can't-"

"Marc." They said sternly. "Its okay. I'll still be here, and we can still be together. But I can't keep myself sane if you're not there to help. So please, for me, just... try..."

He nodded, holding their hands against his face. He kissed the clothed wrappings that covered their hands, each kiss lingering a little longer than the last.

"I'll be here for you, every step of the way."

Steven Grant

Steven didn't know how to react. On one hand, it felt weird not have the deity inside his mind. But on the other, his partner looked so GOOD in that suit.

"Uh... darling? Wha-What are you, um, wearing?" He asked, cautiously making his way to his lover.

"I-I-I don't know. Steven... there's a giant bird in behind you." They said quietly.

Steven tilted his head, confused. He spun around, looking for the bird. "B-Bird? Wait, do you mean Khonshu?"

They shakily nodded their head. "I think so."

He gasped. "Does that mean you-you're his new host?"

"Indeed it does, Steven Grant. Your fellow host, Marc Spector, has disrespected me for the last time. There for, I am done with you three. It's time for a change."

Steven didn't know what to feel. Should he be happy? After all, Khonshu was finally gone. It's what he's been praying for since he met the diety. But he's had first-hand experiences on what it's like working for Khonshu. He didn't want his lover to go through that pain as well.

Steven watched carefully as his love had a silent conversation with Khonshu, staying back to give them some space. When it seemed like they were done, he slowly approached.

"So?... Do you want to be the next 'Fist of Khonshu'?" He asked, a tad bit over the top, but it was his little attempt at trying to bring light to the situation.

They sighed, their fingers twisted and toyed with the ends of their cape as they stayed silent in thought. He gently held their hand to stop their fidgeting.

They looked up at him, gazing into his eyes before they spoke. "I... I guess it's not a bad idea. I mean, I'll still have you and the others to help me."

Steven nodded. "If it's what you want, then I will support and help you no matter what." He lightly held their chin and tilted it twords his head, their for heads lovingly pressed together.

"I promise."

Jake Lockley

When Jake turned around, he was angry. Angry at Marc for making Khonshu give up on them, angry at Khonshu for forcing their burden upon his love, angry at himself for not doing anything to prevent iI.

But he didn't show it. He could see the fear and confusion in her love's face and knew that his anger was not what they needed right now. He rushed over to them and held their shoulders tightly.

"Hey there love, you with me?"

They nodded quickly, trying to focus on Jake and ignoring the terrifying bird man speaking to them.

"Jake... he-he keeps saying things to me and I-I don't understand- I don't get what he means-"

"Sshhh..." He said softly, rubbing his hands slowly up and down their arms. "It's ok, my love. We... we can figure this out."

"Jake Lockley, my favorite of three. He was always such an obidient host. Maybe he can teach you his ways."

"My love... if this is something you don't want then..." He gulped, trying to choose his next words wisely. "We can maybe negotiate with him. Try and get him to use us instead or-"

"Jake." They said softly. "I think... I think I want this."

Jake was... surprised. "Really?"

"Yeah. I mean I always felt useless when you guys would come home covered in bruises and scars. Now it's your turn." Jake chuckled at their weird form of humor, but ut did bring him comfort. He knew his love better than he knew himself; they can handle anything thrown at them.

"I promise to always be there for you, my love. There is no where you can go that I won't find you and save you."

They chuckled as they held his face in their hands. "Even when I'm the one with the powers, you can't let me do the saving can you?"

He smiled, kissing the palm if their hand. "Never."

True to his word (almost as though he were actually trying to make it a habit), Bucky kept his distance from Carthage. Several times, FRIDAY had alerted you that Bucky and Jade had crossed paths somewhere within the Tower, and you would review the footage with bated breath, always expecting to see the worst, as if they would strip off their clothes and start fucking in the common room. But you were relieved to see that he continued ignoring her, acting as though she truly did not exist, and it seemed to be driving her mad with vexation. 

She was so perturbed by it that she eventually came to you looking for a way to get to him.

“I need to talk to Jamie,” she said, interrupting you mid-conversation with one of the scientists in your lab. 

“Okay,” you said, dismissing the scientist. No reason multiple people should have to suffer through this. “Then talk to him. It’s a free country.”

“He isn’t speaking to me,” she pouted. “He’s acting like I don’t exist!”

“That sounds like a ‘you’ problem,” you told her, trying to keep the smile from your face. “I’m not sure what you want me to do about it. Or that I’d actually want to do anything about it, even if I could, if I’m being completely honest.”

“I just don’t know what I did wrong!” she whined. You sneered at that. How could she be so completely lacking in self-awareness? Especially to come to you, of all people, after the things she’d texted to Bucky, after trying to destroy your relationship.

“Would you like the list alphabetically, or in chronological order?” you asked. 

She rolled her eyes at you. “You know, you should have just stayed away from him. Everything would have gone according to plan if he wasn’t so fucking obsessed with you.”

“According to plan?” you asked her, eyebrows shooting to the top of your forehead. “What the fuck do you mean by that?”

Jade seemed to stumble for words. “I– he– you knew I liked him when I first interviewed. And just to get back at me because I was maybe a little bit rude to you, you went and stole him for yourself!”

You sighed and pinched the bridge of your nose. You wondered if you should ask Tony for a raise, because while you were paid extraordinarily well, you sure as shit weren’t paid enough to deal with this. “Listen, Carthage,” you began, “because I’m just going to tell you this once: My relationship with Bucky started long before either one of us ever even knew of your existence.” Technically not a lie, just a small fudge on the truth. Friendship was a type of relationship, after all. “And it’s going to keep going long after both of us have forgotten your name.”

“You don’t understand what you’re putting me through!” she cried, tears forming at the waterline of her eyes. 

You stared at her for a moment, unblinking. “What I’ve put you through?!” you asked her, clenching your fists to keep from punching her in that annoyingly pretty face– you knew that would lead to a fist fight you had no chance of winning. “You have been nothing but a thorn in my side since the moment you first walked into this Tower. Before you showed up, I was the happiest I’d ever been, but you had to come along and try to sink your claws into the man I love. You ruined my relationship; fuck, you ruined my life.”

You didn’t know what effect you expected your words to have on Jade, but you weren’t prepared for her insidious smile as you finished speaking. “Maybe you should be asking yourself, if Jamie loved you as much as you love him, why your relationship was so easy to ruin.”

With a flip of her hair over her shoulder, she was gone, leaving you alone, speechless and freshly betrayed all over again.

Like Cassie actually acts like a human being?? And like her knowledge of the original characters and cute little comments on every item are so endearing there is so much detail going into this.

The fact that they expanded on one of the fan faves Roxanne and giving her a great arc I’m in love I’m so happy

They honestly gave more depth to all the animatronics too like we finally see Bonnie’s design and get and get a taste as to what happened, also that poster Freddy gifted him I’m crying they are so cute and gay I love them

Also the whole dark ride section with Monty is so fascinating like is that narrative kind of true or is it just fabricated by fazbear inc to cover up the decommissioning of Bonnie

Why replace Bonnie with Monty?? Why not make a new Bonnie model?? With the prototype label on Freddy it may be confirmed that they make multiple models (well we already kinda knew that with Freddies comments but oh well)

Also Freddy?? Like is that our Freddy or a different one?? They very clearly highlighted the prototype label so they want to emphasize it, but then the head is still missing like in the princess quest ending so what is the truth??

I was really not expecting eclipse to be the way they were, very… normal? Is that the right word?? Like obviously a little delusional on when the daycare is gonna open again, but in the right mindset of like this child needs to leave this place is not safe. It is interesting to me that both he and Roxy thought that it was Cassie’s birthday, maybe that was the last day before she left the plex? Or maybe that was the day the plex caught fire? Or maybe most depressingly we are playing on Cassie’s birthday so the animatronics have it in their systems what her birthday is and wish her a happy one (if they are in the right state of mind lol)

Some peeps are upset moon is a little too villainous

I think you can still say it was mainly the virus but I would argue even if it’s not the virus I feel like moon is kinda justified here. Like sun has been shutting him away for a long time before this (if the books are to be believed but also in general) so when he finally gets a chance to roam free of course he’s gonna take it. And idk about u but if my alternate personality was constantly trying to shut me out and I finally got control, I probably too would try and keep my control for as long as possible. Also from what I have seen so far, not even moon is all that aggressive? Like he grabs you at the beginning, but I think that’s just his very ineffective way to get kids to sleep and other than that he just kinda stays away

Poor sunny baby is stuck in the ar world 🥺🥺 I didn’t notice at first but yeah everytime you talk to him it’s only in the ar world. And the end part where you switch them out for eclipse if you do that in the ar world, he says not for me it’s for moon.

I will say though I noticed the voice acting for them changed a little this game, like both have a higher pitch and are more goofy sounding? Like more gremlin energy than evil villainy. I wonder if that was on purpose? Both of them sounded more like the other so maybe that was the reason? Interest interest

Also their mouth moves?? Sort of?? That’s so silly to me they have a whole working mouth system and their face mask doesn’t work with at all 😭

Does give me lore intrigue tho cause like why do their mouths move but not anymore?? Did something happen?? Are they just not maintained enough?? They also move outward instead of up and down (at least from what I saw) so is the mechanism different?

Also the way that sun and moon talk about eachother is so interesting. Like moon says the light hurts “us” and sun says “no the other me” like they seem to almost consider eachother more connected than we first thought, like they’re not just coworkers or strangers they are almost like two sides of the same person. It’s very interesting and I wonder where people will take this.

Ok ok update moon does have a jump scare but it’s ridiculously hard to get and I’d still argue he’s not as vicious as he was base game. I mention in another post but eclipse being as kind as he is and being (presumably) a combination of both AIs, gives even more evidence moon is supposed to be kind and caring like his posters suggest but something went wrong. Also Cassie’s comments on their plushes show that there were kids who truly liked the daycare.

Hello chatters. currently 8:30 in the morning, and I've been seeing a lot of Sun love going around (based btw) which reminded me that even though I don't yap about him nearly as much as I do Nexus, Sun was also given such a short end of the stick when it came to this arc.

I don't care for Monty, but I do love Puppet, but the way they both pressured Sun into choosing what to do with Nexus (New Moon at the time)??? that shit is so fucked. and yeah, because I am who I am (a Nexus apologist lol), I was mad and hurt when Sun was unable to tell them to not kill him. but unfortunately that tracks for him.

Sun's trauma response is, most of the time, to freeze. he's done it before when confronted by past Eclipse's, Bloodmoon's- if you're willing to use other dimensions as examples, Servant Sun quite literally froze and surrendered with his hands in the air out of fear when Old Moon first met him.

So, he did it again. he was put in a terrifying situation, and he froze. which led to Nexus freezing in space too amiright ahahahahhhhh

So, shit was already fucked for him at this point. because not only did he lose a close family friend (Solar), tried to help the other 3 through their grief and prioritizing their feelings over his own because he was- objectively- the least close with Solar, lose his brother to madness (which we now know there was like 10x more to that then just 'grief' makin' him act as he did. y'know. glares at Dark Sun and NSP), could basically do NOTHING as Earth was kidnapped by Ruin/Bloodmoon, and Nexus was blasted into space by Puppet.

And even though that was the end of that main arc, dude CONTINUED TO BE HANDED L'S AFTERWARDS. Old Moon being brought back by Monty (Monty.. >:[) without Sun even being asked about it first, Sun not being given the chance to properly heal from/mourn Nexus because O.M was now there, he filled his role, and O.M does not like Nexus. (chatters, I'm gonna warn you, ever since he came back, I've been an Old Moon hater. do not like that guy.) anD THEN EVERYTHING WITH DAZZLE/EVELYN??? july 16th of this year was like a very high peak in what's, to me, a very low-on-the-chart arc, but THAT DOESN'T MEAN SUN WAS OKAY DURING IT JFCCC. the TRAUMA he was reliving during that time HURTED

And even where he is now- he got his magic back, yuippee yayyy!!!

Because of it it seems like he's now intrinsically intertwined with NSP, and multiple people want to use him as a goddamn radar to find Wither Shards now. one of those people literally being The Creator, yaknow, like the stories Biggest Bad???

And another, "oooh, yaknow, that happeneddd, ahahahahhh.." was The Creator psychologically torturing him in one of the darkest SAMS eps' to date because of it.

AND. And, finally, the most recent episode that was Yapped to me about that well. 1, just made me hate O.M more, and 2, made me want to just wrap Sun in a blanket in front of a fireplace. The "Invaded By CRINGY FNAF in Vrchat" one. the way O.M spoke to Sun in that ep, the use of the gravely K.C voice that O.M only uses when making threats, I- I'll fuckin-

LEAVE THAT LITTLE GUY ALONE. I HOPE WHEN YOU AND NEXUS INEVITABLY FIGHT YOU GET CLOCKED IN THE JAW FOR THAT ONE. GOOD LORD.

...I've been typing this for like 50 minutes, apparently I had a lot more to say when it came to Sun than I first thought DGAIEPHDWGWLAH

Canon. canon, please, let Sun do something. let him be the one to free Nexus from NSP corruption, because of how much he's been shown to be resilient to it. let Sun be the one to stop The Creator's next big scheme instead of Moon. let him do things as important as all the others instead of just cleaning. the pieces for him to do so are right there. now put them in place.

Dr Rey’s response to Kc would be: The fuck you thing I’ve been trying to do? It’s not like we can have vacations, if I even leave for a second something happens! The only good thing that has come from me taking a break is you getting hold of Clipse, and even that ended in massacre!

But, Dr Rey would ground P+T then send Kc and Bm on their way back home, along with an offer to take over Eclipse’s work for a day as an apology for the incident. Hopefully Eclipse won’t take it, since their work will already be doubled because of the incident, but they still offered. They would also escort Kc and Bm out themself just to make sure Partial doesn’t try anything, though they hate the parties their friend hosts they are a good host. Plus a good friend, they are not about to be shitty to Eclipse’s family, even if Eclipse doesn’t see them as a friend and more of an annoyance. There is a chance Blitzen might run into the room and start sniffing Kc and Bm, and hopefully Bloodmoon won’t mistake him for a raccoon or smth, because Dr Rey would find a way to kill them themself if they killed the amazing doggo. Same with P+T, Dr Rey would give them full permission for mass slaughter.

Though throughout all of this they are likely on a text gc with Eclipse and Dr Bright they somehow got on cursing up Satan himself, so the family might be looking at the phone with great amusement while Dr Rey is dropping so many curses and insults their self, the foundation, and P+T then just a random dog picture 2 minutes later with the caption ‘Look at this demanding fuck, such a needy god. How dare thy beg for food while I’m yelling at misbehaving children who just murdered over 50 people in one hour’

This is the first thing that jumped into my mind when I read that lol. So now we shall all look at this shitty thing

Eclipse can hoist his work off to other people, dw. Or it'll just sit there until he does it. He's not really picky

Eclipse sees everything as an annoyance, even his family, in certain situations, so I think Dr Rey's good.

Bloodmoon is not a mindless murderer, they appreciate hunting companions as they call them. Tho they prefer cats, simply because they share a similar method of hunting, being ambush predators instead of endurance predators. They might push Blitzen away if they get annoyed, but by that point they're probably climbing onto KC's shoulders because they're overstimulated

I don't want to know what Bright would send into a groupchat with fellow technically immortal beings in it, who are his forever friends who can't get rid of him. But Eclipse would probably be laughing his ass off at rants, and occasionally send in a food pic or a cat pic. Maybe even selfies where he's just sitting there unimpressed with the caption of "My brothers are so bad at video games"

OKAY SO. Ave Mujica episode 9 was insane. Insane enough that I felt like I needed to write about it like some of my friends do lmao

every member of both MyGO and Ave Mujica had at least one tiny moment in this and I really wanted to just yap about them because holy fuck?????????????? Going in order of least to most focus

First is Taki, which is probably the character that gets the least focus out of all eleven of them. I feel like she takes on a sorely-needed caretaker role? Namely for Umiri, though she also expresses worries for Mutsumi. Taki’s always been a very caring character under her rough exterior, so this doesn’t surprise me. Like I said there isn’t much to say since the episode has so much on its plate in the first place but still

Next is Soyo, who gets the second-least amount of screen time but does SO much with it??? I love how they use her to mirror Sakiko’s role in It’s MyGo: one of them wants to revive Crychic, while the other has moved on and expresses no interest in reliving those days. I especially love her expression when she receives Anon’s message.

Overall, I feel like she serves as the voice of reason in the conflict of reviving Crychic; she’s the one most vocal about not wanting to bring the band back together, and that’s an important stance to have as the clear best thing to do in this situation: you have to let bygones be bygones and move on with your life, and that’s something she was taught by both her band and even Sakiko.

Next up is Raana, who’s the character that gets absolutely the least screen time as always, but it’s Raana so the two sentences tops she utters are all absolutely not wasted! She establishes herself as a very important character moving forward, since she can immediately tell Mortis is acting out Mutsumi’s role in the final scene of the episode, which is something only Nyamu can notice aside from her, though she’s much more antagonistic about it… Mortis will definitely need Raana’s support to get through the very rough times ahead.

I feel like we may as well finish off MyGO given the order we’ve been going in, so next up is Anon. I feel really bad for Anon overall: Raana’s detached enough that it doesn’t matter to her, but Anon is smack-dab in the middle of the Crychic/Ave Mujica drama, and can only let herself be carried by the raging waves of angst around her. She’s brought to RiNG by Sakiko to talk about Crychic, she meets with Uika to talk about Crychic, it’s all Crychic for her… and she’s not even in the band! I wonder how she feels about all of it, as someone who had issues with feeling wanted during It’s MyGO. It’s a good thing her bandmates are vocal about caring for her, MyGO, or both. Poor girl…

FInally, we have the most important character of MyGO to this episode: Tomori. It might seem like Anon is more so, and in some ways she is, but there is one scene that makes her completely eclipse the guitarist: of course, that’s the observatory scene.

To me, Tomori feels like the “eye of the storm” of this episode, so to speak. She doesn’t really get into any outright conflict, but a lot of it revolves around her, and the bands she leads, both past and present. A lot of characters look to her for support, comfort, or validation, and all she can do is wonder what she should do, what the best path forward is. Clearly, her lyrics struck quite the painful chord within Uika, so it seems her songwriting might be a way out of this nightmare once again…

Okay, that’s enough of last season’s band, lol. Let’s talk about the titular band now, starting with its initiator: Sakiko.

Sakiko’s role is… interesting in this episode. While she was the driving force of most of the conflict so far, in this one, she instead takes a relative back seat and simply tries to mend old wounds. She spends all of the episode doing her best to bring her old band back, mostly framing it as being “for Mutsumi”... but I wonder how true that is. Sure, it’s at least partly true; she cares a lot about Mutsumi, but what about her feelings? Like Mutsumi herself puts it, the Sakiko in Crychic is so much happier than the one in Ave Mujica. There’s no way she hasn’t noticed, but is she letting herself feel this way? Does she feel like she deserves happiness after uprooting her childhood friend’s life and shattering her psyche (at least, from her point of view)? Lots to think about.

Next, I want to touch on Nyamu. Technically, Umiri probably has less going on, but I’ve made it no secret that I do not care for her, haha. So let’s go through what’s going on with her and then get into the real meat and potatoes of the episode.

Nyamu’s still convinced that Mutsumi and Mortis’s psychological struggles were simply really good acting. Despite being there when Sakiko mentioned her having two personalities in Episode 4, she seems to still be convinced it’s all an act. My annoyances aside, it does make her struggles with acting interesting. She feels overshadowed by her former bandmate in everything, and it’s downright paralyzing her.

Clearly, this is more setup for her going to talk to Minami Mori again next episode, but I wonder when it’s going to hit her that Mortis is not some stage play, and is a real facet of Mutsumi. She finds her act “disgusting” at the very end of the episode, and I can’t help but wonder what that means for the beginning of the next. I feel like the catgirls should talk about this, haha. Raana has understood what’s happening, so maybe she’s the best one to talk to Nyamu about this? I wouldn’t mind more inter-band relationships either way.

Okay, next up is Umiri. I really feel for her in this one. She’s still desperately trying to bring Mujica together again, going after all her bandmates and trying to motivate them to give this another shot… but she’s still having a hard time getting through to them, especially Nyamu and Sakiko. It was kind of a bombshell to see her quitting all of her other bands, especially when the previous episode established that her work in DISRUPTiON is what allowed her to keep food on the table! In said episode, it was touching to see her trying to mend things, but it still felt rather unconvicing… seeing her do this, however, definitely makes it more convincing. Just what is it that she finds so fulfilling about Ave Mujica specifically? DISRUPTiON brought her companionship and care in ways Mujica never could. I dunno, maybe I missed something, but I can’t imagine this is the end of Umiri’s character development. I’m looking forward to hearing her reasoning. Hopefully her friendships with Mortis and Taki keep her afloat through the roughest part of the storm coming soon.

Only three characters left… and they’re the ones with the most going on with them. It should be obvious who I’m saving for last, so let’s talk about Mutsumi and Mortis now.

Mutsumi and Mortis… holy shit. We knew things weren’t gonna go well given Episode 8’s infighting, but I never expected Mutsumi to straight-up vanish! We don’t know if she’s dead or anything, and I honestly doubt it, but the imagery of her falling into the darkness and the crowd of Mutsumis reappearing makes me wonder if the “Mutsumi” alter shattered into its thousand pieces, like before she met the guitar.

This isn’t the first time Mortis is stuck at the wheel, but this definitely feels more definitive, and not in a good way. Her decision to act out Mutsumi’s role is a desperate choice, and I can’t imagine it’ll end well for anyone involved…

I wonder how Mutsumi will feel about this once she inevitably returns, as well. She was essentially killed by her alter, after all. Will she forgive her? Or do we still have drama between them to look forward to? I guess it all depends on Mortis’s coming development.

Beyond the current drama, it was fun seeing the two being opposed on their stance on Crychic. It made for interesting scenes and dialogue, like every time their headspace is depicted. I especially love the shot of Mutsumi grabbing Tomori’s hand, which then cuts to her squeezing Mortis’s throat… after all, reviving Crychic would equal killing Mortis, in her opinion, wouldn’t it?

And finally, we reach the most shocking and most fascinating character this episode: none other than Uika. I mean, where to even begin with her? She’s matching Mutsumi and Mortis’s DID with her own BPD, apparently! This band is full of mentally ill girls and I’m loving it.

Anyway, she isn’t taking Sakiko’s absence well at all. She’s mentioned wanting to always be by her side, and now she’s moving away from her, looking happier than ever with Crychic and spending all her time with Mutsumi… so she’s been left alone, and she’s both devastated and very, very upset about that. I mean, her expressions speak for themselves in this episode. I don’t think I’ve seen anime this expressive before. And I’ve seen my fair share of anime.

And the scene of her throwing Mutsumi down the stairs???????????? Thank god that was just her imagination, she would not have survived that! That was absolutely blood-curdlingly violent, especially for a show that uses physical violence very, very scarcely. It came out of left field in the best way, and I adore how it was presented. It really gave off the impression that Uika has completely lost control over her psyche, and is only barely holding on thanks to her values. And by “values”, I mean the general teaching of “It’s not okay to kill people”. Yeesh.

The increased outbursts from all the members of Ave Mujica really worry me. I don’t think they could kill each other, per se, namely because they need to sell the band in the gacha game once the anime is over, but it seems like they could hurt each other really badly… and yet, there’s only four episodes left! How’s that even possible!? I have full trust in the writers to finish the story in a satisfying way, but it feels like black magic to be able to resolve everything in so short a time. I guess we’ll see. I know I’ll be tuning in as soon as possible to see what’s next!

Like my reaper, you're just choosing to turn an blind eye huh?

So plz imagine that whole meme of red flags for Deathduo LOL. It's super silly, like Missa probably would be like "As long it's by Philza's hands, I'd gladly die for him"

Mmm...would red flags fit Foragissa and Crow Father more though?

I see a lot of people acting like Guts was so good to Casca when he admitted he just wanted a side chick. Reading the manga it felt that she was unimportant to him, someone to fuck and throw to the side. Even when he was trying to be there for her it felt so...forced. Like he didn't want to be there at all, why do you think that is?

I think it's a combination of Miura deliberately writing it as a flawed attempt at a relationship in terrible circumstances between two fucked up people that was always kind of a mistake, and like, probably some bad writing as well lol.

Like I think it's supposed to at least come across as sweet and earnest and hopeful at the time. A genuine connection between Guts and Casca. Miura has said in an interview that he wrote their relationship to add more drama to the Eclipse, so presumably the audience is meant to root for them to an extent, so that the Eclipse rape can make the reader even more angry lol.

But I don't think it was ever intended to be true love or even necessarily a good idea on the parts of the characters. When Guts invites Casca along he directly says she might get in the way of what he wants to do (fight strong opponents) so his invitation is conditional. This actually foreshadows Guts abandoning her in a cave to go and fight monsters, because she does get in his way.

Casca also cries when Guts fights Wyald and afterwards tells him to die on his own if he's so insistant about it, so even if she hadn't gone insane she probably would've gotten in the way of his dream to throw himself into danger over and over anyway lol.

On the rescue mission they start getting jealous as they get closer to Griffith. They essentially break up right before the Eclipse starts, Casca telling Guts to leave to pursue his dream while she stays with Griffith.

Judeau puts a lot of energy into trying to get them to hook up and leave together, and it's strongly implied that it's because he doesn't feel like he deserves Casca himself and he wants what he thinks is best for her. But when he dies he regrets never telling Casca about his feelings, and Casca even has a little romantic moment with him after he saves her life, which echoes the way she falls for Griffith and then Guts when they save her life.

And it's kind of jarring when she's already hooked up with the protagonist of the story, and certainly suggests that her relationship with Guts is not exactly all-consuming for them. It's realistically unromantic.

Post-Eclipse, Casca is framed as Guts' responsibility that pulls him away from the more visceral temptation to go after Griffith. And this causes him to nearly kill Casca, and then nearly rape her.

When Casca gets her mind back but can't look at him, Guts swings his sword in frustration and restlessness and thinks about Griffith's intense gaze from across a field. After she gets kidnapped, Guts only seems to care that his sword couldn't hit Griffith.

I could go on lol, but basically there are so many deliberate details that point to Guts and Casca's relationship being intended not as super romantic, but rather a more realistic hookup that isn't necessarily a net positive for either of them. And I do think that's what Miura intended, to a greater or lesser degree. I'm sure it was meant to be somewhat genuine and sweet, but I think they're ultimately shown to be incompatible and like, a trainwreck overall.

And yeah, a lot of Guts' shitty treatment of Casca is definitely deliberate, since after the Eclipse he does abandon her, and later attacks and assaults her, and she's currently traumatized by not just Femto and monsters, but also him.

Ooogh got back from the theater <3 gonna start off: LOVED the movie. Had a lot of fun. That is to say... I don't.... really...think it was good. It was not. (I'm sorry) But I highly recommend it! Felt like a direct to DVD sequel. I encourage piracy of this one. (/j for legal reasons)

Yesterday had been a mess of a day. But it also ended up being one of the best days you had in such a long time. You finally had the courage to tell Neteyam about how you truly felt about him.

Today you were gonna see Neteyam at night again. You two had come to a conclusion that he would spend some time with you in your room during the eclipse. The fact that the both of you would be alone in your room for hours, when you would be wearing only a nightgown (you just were not a pajamas kind of girl) made you feel nervous in a good way. The butterflies in your stomach were flying round and round and they would not leave you alone. It felt good, though. That kind of euphoria made you forget the many things in life that would make your heart hurt way too often.

You were cooking in the lab kitchen and singing to yourself, in a low tone, excited, thinking about seeing Neteyam's beautiful big blue face again, his bioluminescent freckles adorning his forehead, cheeks, nose, chin… He was so perfect. At least to you. You did not care if the other humans found his appearance weird.

Crystal was there in the kitchen with you, her back hunched as she cleaned the floor using a high tech machine that resembled a mixture of a broom and a vacuum cleaner and had green and blue lights that shone in irregular patterns throughout its handle. She noticed how happy you looked and smiled.

"What's up with you, (y/n)? You've been so down lately and now you're singing while preparing food?" She teased you in a friendly way, laughing slightly.

Crystal was such a sweet girl. She was so calm and nice to everyone, even when treated badly. You admired that quality in her.

She was a beautiful asian girl with straight raven black hair and pale skin that contrasted with her hair, making her look angelic to you. Her smile was also so kind. It was her smile that made you trust her and befriend her the first time you both spoke.

You laughed shyly while looking at her "It's nothing, Crys." That was the nickname you gave her "I'm just a bit happy today. You should be happy for me instead of teasing me!" You were now not shy but mischievous "You're the one who's always telling me to see the good in life, despite the darkness. That's what I'm trying to do." You looked back at the meat you were seasoning and thought that Neteyam was the light in the middle of darkness for you at the moment

Crystal approached you and gave you a quick kiss on the cheek "Whatever you say, little bat. I just wanna see you happy. That's truly all I want." She would always call you "little bat" because she told you that you have kind of a gothic vibe, since you're not really that into socializing and prefer your own company most times and you don't really smile at strangers. According to Crystal, that made you mysterious. You thought that was a bit cheesy but again, not your words. Crystal was the one claiming that. You laughed internally.

"I know, my Crys. And I love you so much for that. You're the best friend I could ever ask for."

"See?! You're all sappy! Something good happened! This is not just you deciding to be positive all of a sudden. If something happened, you better tell me, you hear me?!" She teased but you knew she also really wanted to know 

Sometimes you hated how she could see right through you because you didn't always want to tell her all that was in your mind, even though you loved her so much and she was your best friend. Like now, for example. You couldn't tell her about Neteyam. That was something that, at least for now, would have to be kept a secret. You could only hope Derek would be decent enough to keep his word and not tell anyone about what had happened when Neteyam saw you and him kissing.

Even though it was cold, you kept your window unlocked and slightly open that night once again - a small gap, as always - just so Neteyam could come inside your room through it.

When you saw him approaching your window, his dark blue skin looking almost magical in the dark of the eclipse, his big size now exciting you instead of scaring you, your heart started beating so fast, it was just like it was in a running competition.

You practically jumped from your bed to the floor and walked as fast as your nervous legs would let you towards the window. Neteyam smiled at you so widely. Damn, were his fangs sexy… He barely got there and you were already getting turned on.

"Neteyam!" His name came out of your mouth in such a happy tone

"Hi, hi'ì emyu. You look so pretty tonight. I missed your pretty face."

Your heart started beating faster even if it seemed like that wasn't even possible to begin with.

"You're making me blush. Stop!" You laughed nervously as you opened the window for him "Come in." You wanted to call him "baby" or something cute like that but he made you so nervous with his confident but kind and warm personality that you still couldn't manage to do that.

Once he was inside your room, he knelt down in front of you - so your size difference wouldn't be so ridiculously big -, cupped your face with both his big blue hands and kissed your lips quickly. It wasn't a long kiss but it was enough to make your legs feel weak.

"It's late, oeyä tawtute. You have to rest. You should lay on your bed while we talk. I can lay by your side. But only if you feel comfortable with that." He looked you in your eyes, trying to let you know that now he would always try his hardest to respect your boundaries

You thought that the way he was taking care of you was so lovely. It made your heart melt, honestly. And the thought of Neteyam laying next to you in your bed, your bodies so close to each other since the bed would be incredibly small to his na'vi body, made you say "yes" immediately, without thinking twice. You wanted him that close to you so bad. You had missed him all day.

Neteyam was beyond happy with your answer. You walked towards your bed and Neteyam walked right behind you. Soon enough, the both of you were sharing your bed.

"Neteyam…" Your voice echoed in the cold air of your room but Neteyam's warmth was keeping you cozy, his body pressed against yours as you both cuddled in your bed that looked ridiculously small when Neteyam was laying on it, all curled up to be able to fit there with you.

"What, yawntu?" He looked at you with eyes so tender, they made your heart feel warm and you felt truly loved after such a long time not even knowing how that felt like

"I'm sorry I didn't say it back when you said it… but… I love you too. I love you so much. I don't even know how I can feel so deeply for you if I met you not that long ago. It's been what? 4 days?" You looked concerned 

Neteyam touched your face, making you feel the heat of his big hand all over your skin

"Stop thinking too much. Just let it be. Just feel what you feel for me and don't try to reason about it. What matters is what we feel for each other. What matters is that your heart beats fast for me and so does my heart for you." 

Even though Neteyam had just reassured you, seeming to be calm and unbothered, your words did surprise him. When he first told you, in his people's language, that he loved you, you did not say it back. He tried to think it was just you still being overwhelmed with the odd situation that being in a relationship with a na'vi was to you - he knew that the fact that you two were from different species still weirded you out a bit - but he couldn't help but feel insecure. Now that you had finally declared your love for him, he felt like he could finally breathe and that horrible fear of losing you started to slowly go away.

You breathed deep and nodded. You knew he was right. You were a chronic overthinker.

Neteyam gently brought his lips to yours and gave you a kiss full of care and love. He pressed his plump, soft lips against yours and you kissed him back. You both kept your lips together for a few seconds and slowly parted, looking inside each other's eyes. There was trust there. There was something special between you both, a bond, an energy, something that you never found anywhere else before. Nobody made you feel what Neteyam did.

"I wanna tell you something."

"Please do" Neteyam started to run his slender four fingers through your hair

"I was so afraid you weren't gonna come back for me after that night when I screamed at you." Your heart hurt as you admitted that to him, but you tried not to let it show

"Do you really think I would let you go that easily? (Y/n), listen to me. I know, I just know, right here," Neteyam tapped on his chest, right where his heart was "that I will love you forever. Even if I did everything in my power to get you to be mine and I still failed, I'd still love you until the day I die. So, no, I wasn't gonna give up on you just like that. I'm the Mighty Warrior, remember?" You laughed at the silly name Neteyam calls himself as he smiled at you and chuckled "I'd fight for you until the end, hi'ì tawtute." (small human) "That's a war I'm not willing to lose. No way."

"But I treated you so badly…" You furrowed your eyebrows, gazing at him with sadness and guilt in your face

"I know… but to be fair, like you said, you're not used to my na'vi behavior. I came on too strong. I'm sorry. It's just what you do to me. It's all your fault! You're too beautiful!" His expression quickly changed from ashamed - when he was apologizing - to playful, as he got closer to the end of the sentence and he smiled at you, winning back another smile from you.

His smile was one of the purest things you had ever seen. Perhaps the purest one. So precious.

"Can I ask you something?" You spoke

"Anything, yawntutsyìp." 

"Why do you say I'm "more na'vi than human"?" I know you already explained what you mean a little bit back when we first met but… I'm gonna need more than that." You looked at him chuckling softly, wondering, as your eyes showed him how much you wanted to know the answer

"I think it should be obvious to you as much as it is obvious to me." Neteyam smirked, playfully 

"Why so?" You smiled, confused 

"I wish you could see yourself from the outside, like I can see you. I wish you could see how miserable you look living your human life, cooking and washing dishes inside that kitchen. But, when you're in your Avatar… you smile so widely, you exude childhood wonder, your happiness is so, so contagious… It's like you feel truly alive like that, like you feel free and at home. It's so beautiful to watch. That's why I used to always watch you." He smiled looking down, bashful

Some time had passed and it was now getting only a few hours away from the end of the eclipse. You knew Neteyam had to go back to his tribe soon enough. But you didn't want him to go. You wanted him to stay forever by your side, not being parted from you for a single second, as clingy as that sounded. And the best part is: you were almost sure he felt the same way. Okay, if you were to only listen to the rational voices in your brain and not to the voices telling you that you were unlovable, you knew Neteyam felt the same way. You could just feel it in the air when he was around you.

And at that moment, he was showing you how much he needed you in a way that was making you feel things you hadn't felt in so long.

Neteyam was licking the sensitive skin of your neck, making you let your head to the side, leaving more space for him to keep on doing that, as you closed your eyes and moaned, almost too loud, at the way his large tongue lapped on your neck, tasting the skin and massaging it gently. Saying that felt like Paradise would be an understatement. You had no fucking words to even start to explain what he made you feel.

"Oeyä tawtute… my yawne…" he cooed on your ear, kissing the earlobe and using his sharp teeth to nible on it a little bit "You're mine now. All mine, my muntxate." (female mate) 

Neteyam wrapped his tail around your right leg. That felt possessive but in a good way. It made you feel safe. Like belonging to him was not gonna be such a scary, anxious experience at all to you. He seemed to already know you. Neteyam held you just the way you liked it and you wanted him to keep his big arms wrapped around you for eternity. He felt just like an overused, old t-shirt that was already so used to your body that it felt extremely comfy and relaxing on your skin, making you wish you could go everywhere wearing that t-shirt. So familiar and safe.

Even if your brain still tried to tell you it was totally insane to feel like that about a guy - a na'vi - you had just met, you didn't give a damn anymore. Your sick brain already made you suffer a lot in so many areas of your life. You wouldn't let that fucking pink squishy organ ruin your relationship with Neteyam. Not anymore.

Which is worse, rape or murder? - Or, should Casca have died during the Eclipse?

Unlike most of my meta posts, this is one I'm making as a direct critique of a specific take I've seen. It's similar to my meta about apostle Casca in that regard, where I want to look at a specific idea and why I dislike it, as opposed to wanting to explore my thoughts on an aspect of canon. To be clear, this is only something I do if I've seen a take a bunch of times, enough so I know it's not a one-off. It's also not something I do because I want to engage in discussion with the people who've said whatever the take is, it's something I do in case other people who agree with me might be interested in a meta post that's more in line with their viewpoint.

I provide this disclaimer because, as I've said a few times now, the idea that it's the better choice to have Casca die during the eclipse is one that I just really dislike, and I make that preeeeetty fuckin clear. I can't control who sees this or who comments, but I did think I should make my stance explicit.

Berserk fandom is an absolute treasure trove of bad takes about rape and sexual assault. Considering the seriousness with which the manga takes rape, despite it's sometimes quite dodgy framing and portrayal, the fact that the fandom is Like That is fully a testament to cishet men's inability to consume media without turning into a brainless amoeba of toxicity.

I have to say, though, what shocked me the most was that this particular take, that Casca should have just died during the eclipse, was not from the dudebro side of fandom ('cause if she had they couldn't make their silly little "casca enjoyed it" jokes).

I'm coming right out of the gate with my opinion, which is a firm no, Casca should not have died during the eclipse, and the story would be weaker if she had. I'm going to presume during this analysis that the people who say this assume that her death would be instead of her rape, as opposed to her being raped and then dying, which would be... Horrific. Even more horrific than canon, lol.

I do have sympathy for some of the people who wish she had died, and in a way I understand, though I vehemently disagree. Some of the posts with this POV sound almost traumatized as they proclaim I wish she would have died, it would have been better. As this is something I've only noticed in the tumblr fandom side of things, where most people are women, I think this comes from women readers feeling furious and sick about one of the most vile rape scenes out there. In some ways its intentionally vile, in others - ie how grotesquely sexualized it is - it's unintentional. Then, of course, she continues to suffer in her disabled, infantilized trauma state. I hear these readers wanting to shout at Miura that he should have just killed her off rather than force her, and us, through reading that. It would have been kinder.

I have... Far less sympathy for others. There's a side of fandom that simply does not care about Casca (in a different way than the dudebros who don't care about her despite gushing about how she's peak tomboy waifu). It's amazing the veneer of progressivism these people put on as they say that Casca should have died, because she did not contribute to the narrative before the eclipse, and she certainly hasn't after. Going to get even spicier for a second and point out fandom's long history of wanting female characters dead because they get in the way of mlm ships, and how I think this is SOMETIMES simply another manifestation of it.

To be fully fucking clear, I do NOT think that being a grffgts shipper (censored so this doesn't show up in the tag LOLLLLL) precludes being shitty about Casca. I think tumblr's demographics, and those demographics' typical shipping preferences, mean that grffgts is naturally going to dominate. By simple statistics, most of the people whose opinions I hate are going to be grffgts shippers. Same with most of the people's opinions I like on tumblr tbh. I do, however, think it's prudent to point out old school fandom misogyny, and how I personally feel it's showing up in the fandom, and also point out that it pisses me off that Casca dying during the eclipse is at all presented as the least misogynistic outcome.

I'm also going to say now that this is firmly being kept in the realm of fiction. In real life, there are horrific discussions about how being a victim of rape defiles you for life, and that it's better to die without the "shame" of being raped than live with it. While I have to be blunt it's difficult for me to separate some of the discussion of Casca dying during the eclipse from that anti-survivor bias I see in real life just because ~we live in a society~, I in general think this sentiment is coming from a place of simply analyzing, narratively, which outcome is less misogynistic given how the rape in canon is portrayed.

Would it narratively have been better for Casca to have died? What about the impact of her death versus her current storyline?

First, I think I need to outline my interpretation of the eclipse rape. I don't think that the decision to have Griffith rape Casca was Miura simply being a misogynistic cishet dude who threw in rape for the hell of it. I also don't think it's OOC. Again, there's much to critique in how it's drawn, but not in the fact that it happened. Griffith, in his moments of feeling out of control and powerless, uses sexual advances to reassert his control over the situation - see Charlotte, or the wagon scene with Casca. A distaste for sexual violence committed by his enemies doesn't mean Griffith is incapable of wielding sexual violence as a weapon himself. In real life, there's a paradox where rape committed by political or social enemies is seen as the worst crime one could ever commit, while the mundane rape committed as a consequence of patriarchy is excusable and the victims should be blamed and shamed. Did Miura have the gender studies acumen to think about that when writing? I dunno, but neither does anyone who thinks he didn't.

I also think it's supposed to establish his actions during the eclipse as fully over the moral event horizon. Without it, it's easy to ask if ultimately, Griffith's decision to sacrifice his followers to a cruel death is justified to create a perfect utopia. With it, it establishes Griffith as acting fully on cruel, malicious impulse in moments of emotional turmoil, which puts his future utopia in jeopardy. I can't be the only one who sees Falconia as a ticking time bomb. Of course, this doesn't mean he needed to rape Casca, but simply that I think it was necessary to his character to do something that crossed that moral line. He could have raped Guts I suppose. Killerbambi has entered the chat.

While I think this might sound strange, I actually think it's immensely validating to have a character who is a victim not just of rape, but of rape committed by someone she already knew. That's genuinely unique in media on the whole, which plays into that paradox I mentioned earlier - in real life, the vast majority of assaults are committed by someone the victim knew. Having the story surround the continual, horrific trauma of betrayal, of having to watch the person who hurt you move on while trauma keeps you in horrible stasis is almost so realistic it's... uncomfortable. Painful. Hard to read.

There's no greater purpose to what happened to Casca. She didn't grow from it, instead she regressed.

Her general lack of agency post-eclipse is much critiqued in the fandom and like. Fucking yeah fair LOLLLLLL BUT ALSO... But also. Fandom on the whole can be so cruel about traumatized female characters, like there's no way they can do trauma "right." In Casca's case, her lack of agency is turned into a reason she should simply have been killed off instead, as though there aren't so many survivors who, while not as literally as she does, retreat into a shell of themselves and are frozen with trauma as the world begins to pass them by. Of course, the critique would be that she's not a real person, she's a female character written in a misogynistic way by a man, but I personally think this overstates Miura's issues with his portrayal of rape. To me, it presents what they think are his biases as justification for their own biases.

Time and time again, I see survivors discuss feeling validated by Casca's trauma response after being assaulted. Even the parts of the rape scene that I vehemently dislike, such as the hyper-focus on Casca's body and the physical reactions she's having, I've seen more than one person say they felt validated because they too had an unwanted arousal response during an assault. I'll still critique the scene, but regardless of if this was Miura's intention, its impact is clear.

I'll again plug this article by Jackson P. Brown, How Berserk’s Casca challenges the myth of the “Strong Black Woman.” Just to show a quote from it:

All of the action of the story after Conviction Arc is in service of restoring Casca's mind. During Conviction Arc and after, Casca has groups of women who love and protect her, with women as her source of safety. Guts is single mindedly focused on bringing her back, putting his body on the line again and again to protect her and restore her. I wondered about including Guts here because I'm sure I'll get some anon about the Beast of Darkness, which again fair LOL. I have complicated feelings on that, but mostly I think the importance the narrative puts on her mind and her protection is touching, and I think this outweighs how the negative things apparently mean that she should have died.

Her story and trauma, despite its flaws, is shockingly realistic and validating to so many people. She's also a key narrative component post-eclipse, and not just ~for Guts' manpain~ or as a helpless plot device, her story is her own. I've written about Elaine as a character and what she represents, but in brief, Casca doesn't disappear after the eclipse. Miura wrote Elaine with these moments where Casca comes to the surface, and while I wish we had more of her POV I think you can look at how she's coping from how Elaine reacts to the world around her.

I also think it's necessary to have Casca at the Hill of Swords. There's Guts, who Griffith torments in the way only a bitter ex can, and Rickert, who doesn't know what happened the day of the eclipse, but I think Casca is the key component in that scene that cuts through all of Griffith's posturing and Guts' anger. She is there, making the real, human cost of what Griffith did during the eclipse unignorable in a way that no other character could. It's one thing for Guts to be furious with him and Rickert ignorant, it's another to have someone who loved him so innocently and dearly trembling just at the sight of him. Let's not pretend that the depth of betrayal in this scene would be the same if you swapped her for, say, Judeau.

It's funny, Miura is quoted as saying that his initial reason for keeping Casca alive was to provide Guts an ever-burning flame of vengeance, an eternal reminder of everything that he lost during the eclipse. What's wound up happening, on a meta level, is that Casca provides the reader a constant reminder of what happened during the eclipse. As more and more focus is given to her PTSD with her revival, the cruelty with which Griffith acted (and continues to act) becomes harder and harder to ignore. It becomes more difficult to push it aside as just bad, misogynistic writing.

And also, quite simply, I like narratives about trauma recovery, and therefore I'll always find Casca's story worth telling despite my frustration with a lot of it. It's absolutely wild to me that for how often I see the fandom complain about her being "fridged" they think it would have been better to see her ACTUALLY fridged, no chance of coming back at all, just dead to fuel Guts' revenge arc. Would it really be better to have her be just another dead girlfriend? Really?

That's really what it comes down to. I like Casca as a character, and I want her to have lived. The people who wish she had died, many of them simply don't like her as a character. Not all, particularly in that first group I mentioned at the start, but many. Everyone has their preferences of course, but I don't think I need to respect when someone thinks a character has so little influence on the narrative that they should have just died, especially if that character is Casca.

If Casca had died during the eclipse, it would not have been a good death. It would not have been brave, or triumphant, or worth anything for her as a character. Judeau died to protect Casca, but even his death was not brave, it was just sad. That's the whole point of the eclipse.

To have Casca die that way would be a disservice to her as a character, far moreso than to have her struggle on as a traumatized victim of sexual violence. That's genuinely what I believe.

🎤 . . . Billy enjoys looking after daisy when she's regressed. That does not mean that he does not get slightly frustrated at times. Daisy likes to push his buttons and will absolutely get him bickering with her. This will carry on until either Karen or Camila basically just say "you are arguing with a literal toddler right now, just stop-" which is usually followed by Warren making a comment about him losing said 'argument' whilst trying not to laugh because Billy is way too invested in proving his points.

🚬 . . . Will not admit it but he is so so protective over Daisy. No one is able to give her even a bad look without him there ready to start something on her behalf. Not that she isn't more than capable of doing so herself tho <3

🎚️ . . . "someone sure did a number on you, didn't they-" he genuinely hates that someone (or multiple people) have made Daisy feel like anything less than amazing. Any time they do something positive like celebrate a holiday as a family and she makes an offhanded comment about this experience being so different to what she was used to he has to physically stop himself from getting angry.

🚬 . . . Billy has a habit of saying the wrong things to Daisy without necessarily meaning what he said. 😭 "I never would have thought you were so.. broken." Daisy is not afraid to let him know when he's said the wrong thing. He will exhaust himself trying to figure out the best way to apologize however will never acknowledge how much effort will go into said apologies.

🎚️ . . . Daisy is typically pretty energetic when regressed and she loves dragging Billy around with her. He has acted overly dramatic about this before and it always makes Daisy laugh.

🎤 . . . When he saw Daisy spiral with Nicky he was terrified, he saw himself in her more than ever and he was so uncomfortable with that and what that could mean. (He already hated how similar she was to him regarding parental figure/(s) not being there for them.)

🚬 . . . Honestly he told Rod he was kicking Daisy out of the band however it was mainly due to him being so scared of anything happening to her and wanting her out of the 'rock and roll scene'. When he realised she had overdosed? He had never been so terrified. That incident really messed with him and continues to do so.

🎚️ . . . Every time Daisy hits a milestone of being clean Billy buys her a stuffie. He wants her to know how proud of her he is, he knows better than anyone in the band the struggles of addiction.

🎸 . . . Daisy is super affectionate, she always wants hugs or to hold his hand!!! He will grumble as he holds her/her hand acting as if it's a nuisance to him but both him and Daisy know he actually loves that she feels safe enough with him to be so affectionate!!!

🎤 . . . Billy has been scared many a time by Daisy just jumping onto his back with zero prior warning, he always makes sure she doesn't fall but by God if it doesn't give him a minor heart attack every single time-

When I read the Twilight series for the first time, it never occurred to me that Aro was ever the villain at all, I actually loved him in New Moon and was confused over Edward throwing a fit. I mean Bella wants to be a vampire and Aro was very supportive towards that! He even let them go without any punishment when Edward was literally a second away from breaking the law.

Even in Breaking Dawn he seemed fine, it was mostly Caius that wanted to kill the Cullens and co. so bad.

Eclipse felt the closest to hinting that maaaaybe the Volturi isn't all that it seems but the stalling order never felt like an order Aro gave out, he fucking adores Carlisle and he literally spared Edward, Bella and Alice in New Moon when he didn't need to, there was no reason for him to suddenly go "wait no I changed my mind"

It wasn't until the movies where it hit me that he was supposed to be a villain. It's really funny how Meyer failed so bad at making him evil.

I'm glad to have stumbled upon your and Vinelle's metas and find that I'm not the only one who thinks Aro isn't the villain. I really enjoy reading them. Like once I stayed up all night going through your metas and didn't realise it until I wondered why my room was getting brighter lol. They're addictive.

For what it's worth, that's actually one of the things I really like about Twilight. There aren't really villains in the traditional sense of the term, people with conflicting interests, some less understandable than others, but they all have reasons for what they do and none are exactly Sheev Palpatine. It's not something you see a lot of, especially in YA land (there are exceptions but they're relatively few), and it's always nice to see even if Meyer didn't intend it.

the obvious sun/eclipse. i can never escape them in any form. main dimension sun/eclipse, dark sun/eclipse, sunbeam (eaps sun)/eclipse, sunvant/eclipse. all of the above pls. but if we're going with MAIN dimension suneclipse their relationship could be sooo many things. (which is y i like the ship so much bc its so versatile!) it could be a fixer-upper, abusive, friends/enemies with benefits, you name it. anything and everything is possible with these 2 bitches and its wonderful

this is for my own au becuzzzz i wont let go of a chance to talk about them :3 we got sunshine(sunvant)/solstice(eclipse) and they are an absolute WRECK. theyre both fucked over by their past and the beginnings of their relationship is so rocky bc sunshine doesnt trust anyone + doesnt understand nor believe he deserves affection (hes also constantly wanting to go back to lord eclipse). meanwhile solstice doesnt even see sunshine as a person and rather as a project to work on (and also an opportunity to maybe better himself. maybe if he can help someone then that means he can be a better person). solar comes in later and while i havent Completely thought about their dynamics i will say that both solar and solstice are very overprotective of sunshine. they both constantly butt heads bc they both want to protect him while sunshine just sits in a corner head in hands trying to figure out how to get them to stop without having his own panic attack (they get better tho dw <3)

WHOOH boy, that's a fuckin' question and a half, ain't it? i'm prolly gonna piss some people off with this, let's see... i kidnapped most of these characters from polaris' list lol

So I don't go off on tangents for each of em, i'm gonna try to limit myself to 1-3 sentences

Sun: You've been through a lot, haven't you? Find something to do in life, something that you love because you want to, not something that you love out of obligation or programming. You're smarter and stronger than you think, stop being held back by the past.

Old Moon: You have not changed as much as you think you have- you still have some very toxic and abusive behaviors. You are not irredeemable, but you are deeply flawed. Take time, work on yourself, and understand that while making up for your past might be impossible; it's not impossible for you to carve out a future where you and those you love are happy.

New Moon/Nexus: Oh, you poor thing, what happened to you? You fucked up, but you didn't deserve the hand you were given in life, no one in your position would. Please, let yourself feel again- the pain of losing it all- only then will you be able to come back out the other side ready to love again.

Earth: As you've grown and experienced life, you've become very immature. This isn't directly a bad thing, but it contrasts with what you try to be, and makes you an unreliable person to go to with mental health struggles. Don't take life so personally, and push a little bit harder, there's no need to be so soft on people who reject help who clearly need it.

Lunar: I am BEGGING you to show some vulnerability. I know it's genuinely so fucking hard after all you've been through, but if you keep acting like you're okay after every loss then eventually you'll become a shell of a man. ...And also, respectfully, humble yourself- you are incredible, but you are not the main character.

Solar: Take a break. Please, for the sake of yourself and everyone you care about, take a break. You can't save anyone if you yourself are dying- and the people you are trying to reach won't extend their hand to a dying man. Take a break.

Eclipse (V4 Specifically): ...What can I even say to you other than that I am so incredibly proud of you. And that I'm sorry, I'm so sorry for everything you went through, being compared to someone you're not. I wish people would leave you alone, as you so desperately want to be, you more than deserve that peace.

Bloodmoon: You're a lot more put together than people give you credit for. I'm sorry you were made the way you were, with the inability to live life without being consumed by your urges. You were born a monster, and no one gave you the proper chance to become anything but one.

Ruin: I'm sorry to say this, I really am, but even though the life you lived was horrid and tragic, that gives you no right to end billions of innocent lives in your quest for justice and revenge. You have my sympathies for the trauma you experienced, but my sympathies end there. Everything you experience after the massacre you pulled is your victims coming to bite you in the ass.

Jack: I love you, so much- I love you for trying as hard as you do. Remember, it's okay to say no. You are still growing and have a lot of it to do, be kind to yourself when you make mistakes.

Dazzle: Sweet girl, the most precious thing. Never change who you are, you are literally the shining star in the darkness that is this world. Never forget how much you are loved, for it is more than you could ever know.

The Creator: No matter how many machines you build, what scientific discoveries you make, how much progress you offer to humanity, you will always be alone. No one will ever love you, and it's all your fault. Remember that when you die alone, old man.

Monty: Your violence is not funny, at least not at the severity of which you do it. You lying to your girlfriend is not funny. Do better or fuck off.

Foxy: You try so hard, and I appreciate it, but learn that there are some things that you can not fix, and some places where you shouldn't stick your nose in. It's okay to be "a rubber duck", it's okay to be normal. Stop trying to be something you're not and embrace what you can.

F.C: I love you so much kid. You're a bit wild and off your rocker, but you've also shown so much unexpected maturity. Stop growing up so fast, yeah?

Puppet: I can appreciate all that you try to do, but please, understand that you acknowledging that you make mistakes does not nullify them. You have been hypocritical time and time again, and you need to learn and grow from those experiences, not just brush them off. You are capable of great things- just learn to do them.
