Interview Mishaps || Chris Evans

Pairing(s): Chris Evans x Wife!Reader, Sebastian Stan x Reader (platonic)

Summary: Reader and company have an interview with Jimmy Fallon. Everything goes swimmingly until reader drops an earring.

Warning(s): A lil bit of cussing (like 2 words)

“So, tell me, what’s the story to Violette?” Jimmy Fallon asked.

“Well,” you answer. “She’s Violette Barnes. She’s Bucky’s little sister and she ends up becoming Agent Zero, the best agent that works for HYDRA other than the Winter Soldier.”

“I’m my opinion, she’s more badass!” Exclaims your husband, Chris Evans.

“I mean, I don’t have to carry lube around all the time.” You stared pointedly at Sebastian Stan.

“What’s with you and Anthony and my KY Jelly?” He smiles and flicks your ear.

You narrow your eyes at Seb and carry on talking about your character. How she had signed up to be a nurse in the war but got chosen by Captain America to be the only woman in the Howling Commandos. How she fell off the train trying to save her brother. How both Bucky and Violette got captured by HYDRA and how they were groomed to be the best agents for all the wrong reasons.

“Wow.” Jimmy rests back in his chair a little, “I didn’t think that it would be this intense.”

“Oh yeah, this Captain America: The Winter Soldier and Agent Zero movie is one of the most fun yet challenging movies I’ve ever starred in. And I love how it’s challenging because I can learn from it and change, adapt to more diverse roles so I don’t have to play the damsel in distress anymore!” You laughed out loud and hoped that your racing heart would slow down a little.

“Sebastian and Chris, what is it like working with (Y/N)? And I know that Chris has done a few other movies and shows with you so I assume it’s the same as before?” Jimmy leans over his desk slightly, eager for the gossip.

Sebastian Stan speaks first.

“Working with (Y/N) is like working with another Anthony, except that the amount of work we do stays the same. She knows when to work,” he turns to look at you - “but you also know when to have fun and goof around.”

It’s Chris’ turn next.

“Yeah, I agree with Seb here. (Y/N) is a very hardworking individual but she knows when the fun begins or when it’s appropriate to begin!” He chuckles at the little hint at the both of you behind the scenes. “But working with (Y/N) now is like working with a new (Y/N), because before she was only getting parts as a main romantic interest. Although Violette is my romantic interest, the way (Y/N) has evolved to play such a quiet, mousy character turned villain and assassin, shows that she can honestly adapt to any role after having many of the same kind. And as an actor, it sometimes can be difficult no matter how experienced you are. So I’m really proud of (Y/N) for how far she’s come.” Chris throws his arm around your shoulder so you grab his hand and squeeze 3 times. I love you.

“Well now I feel horrible because that made my heart flutter and my eyes sting with tears. Damn Evans, you’re whipped!” Sebastian laughed so hard that you could barely hear anything coming out from his mouth.

“We’ve been married for 8 years! What do you expect?” Chris chuckled along with everyone.

“So my last question for (Y/N), we know you’re (Y/N) Evans, so why don’t you put that name down in movies that you do?”

You turn your body slightly. “I prefer to use my maiden name as I don’t want people to look at me as only Chris Evans’ wife. But as (Y/N) (Y/L/N) - actress.”

Jimmy then goes on to wrapping the show up, so you and the boys exit. When you get to the drinks table, you start to fiddle with your ears, a habit you’ve had since you were a toddler. Though you had some earrings on and one fell out which leads you trying to bend down to reach it.

You reach the sparkly earring on the floor, but suddenly you hear a short ripping sound and you feel your dress become a little looser. Slightly panicked, you look around for your husband, just remembering that he needed to go to the restroom.

“Sebastian!” You hissed. You needed someone ASAP and the only person around was your best friend. “Sebastian!” You hissed louder.

He turned to look at you and his eyes immediately went down to your hands cupping your hip. His gaze turned worried, thinking you’d hurt yourself, but then turned to amusement when he realized you’d torn your dress from your hip to waist!

Your best friend couldn’t help himself and snorted before you. You narrowed your eyes at him before you said, “my ass is on show, you little bitch! Help me!”

He laughed a little harder, no sound making it past his lips, only slight wheezes here and there.

“Okay-okay, I’ll help cover you until Chris gets back.” He chuckles slightly before taking his blazer off and handing it to you. The blazer enveloped you - just like Chris’ jackets do.

“I’m sorry for being so long guy- what happened?” Chris emerged from your right and looked all confused. Sebastian grinned and pried his blazer away from your strong grip - exposing your ass ripped dress for Chris to see. Chris chuckles slightly before shrugging his blazer off and putting it on you. His smell surrounded you and although there was a slight mishap, you felt calm knowing you had your husband by your side.

As well as your annoying best friend I guess.
