Episodes of the Bear I want:

The short staffed one- could be the stressful episode of the season, maybe Marcus is off after his mum's died (or he's quit because his focus is not where he thinks it should be), Eva's sick and Tiff is out of town so Richie has to look after her, Nat's just had the baby, and the rest of the team has to deal with it, kind of as a test to how skilled they are and how well they work together to see if they can get through it

Mickey's funeral- Obviously important for all the characters, we can see how they faired, but also more insight into Carmy and his time in New York

The day after Mickey dies- Richie & Nat finding out, having to identify his body, Richie telling the chefs at the Beef, Nat telling Carmy and her mum, just the raw pain of it

I would just love a scene where Eva has to visit the Bear, maybe Tiff is going to pick her up from there. I mainly want this because of how Richie acts different when he's in Dad Mode, and the team who worked at the Beef were so closely knit I'd be surprised if some of the OGs hadn't met her before. I love the scene in s1 ep 2 where, after bickering all episode, Syd gets to see Richie talk to Tiff & Eva and it's the first time we see a different side to him it's *chef's kiss*. So having her walk around the restaurant, compliment Sydney, say something very honest to Carmy, like "My dad says I'm more mature than you" in the way that little kids to, and say that Richie looks like a prince in his suit, is a very cute idea to me

its more or less accepted canon that richie feeling the need to be there for mikey was why him and tiff were separated in the first place, but unless i zoned out during the wrong times i cant say its ever been elaborated on.

could it be because richie got let go of the offer jimmy gave him? ive had this thought out for a while, if theyre still doing flashback episodes i envision that richie got a more laborious job than the one at the beef that jimmy eventually finds and offered him to in fishes (he probably does both but i cant see that working imo). mikey had been going through it for some time, richie notices from a long shot but has less time to be around so he can supply for tiff and eventually eva, mikey has a scare and richie takes more and more time off to look after him (maybe hospitalization or rehab). richies employer finds out and cuts him out, tiff gets frustrated and asks jimmy if theres anything else to do, he laments and makes him do the beef full time and invests under the condition of him selling it to a chain if he doesnt act right. the rest of the series as we know happens fucking whatever

has something like this been theorized? probably. am i missing anything that show has explained out? most likely i am tbh but im just filling in these gaps for myself so i dont get bored enough to blow my brains out before season 4 arrives

Carmen wears an apron and says he's a chef or something, or wears the fancy chef hat. Neil puts a rat in his hat and makes him the guy from Ratatouille.

Eva goes as Barbie and she makes Richie go as Ken, either their cowgirl/boy outfits (or richie in the tasselled leather jacket outfit)

head empty, only thinking about what the bear crew would do during the fall. or maybe halloween in specific!! ignoring the looming doom of how much s4 is probably gonna hurt me to think about what they'd wear in terms of costumes.

like...richie & eva matching costumes or how carmy seems like the type of guy to wear a regular outfit then add one accessory to claim it's not a regular outfit and how it is a costume.

Since we are on the topic of an actual wedding possibly happening on The Bear, imagine a wholeass episode where Richie tries to have dinner with Tiff and her fiancé for the sake of their daughter. We can see Richie be a good dad and with much dismay finally let Tiff go. It’s gonna be heartbreaking and an emotional rollercoaster to watch but fuck I really wanna see Tiff get all sentimental about Richie and their daughter even if she knows they shouldn’t get back together.

Also a small part of me does want Richie and Tiff to get back together even if I know it’s impossibly realistic. Their “I love you” phone call had me sad and sobbing and it’s nearly impossible to get me at that state. I just can’t find the emotional side of me.

Thinking about what Richie's family could've been like for him to get so attached to the Berzattos and be a 4th sibling. He says his dad was never there, and he was in the Army, so what if there was no arguing. The Jerimovich house was silent and there was no placating, no arguing or dramatics, just do as your told because there's no other option.

He moves around a lot when he's a kid but his dad gets injured in his early teens and they settle in Chicago where they've got family. This is where he meets Mickey, the kid who gets into trouble but never gets detention because he can't get detention he doesn't know how Donna would react and he hates him. Trouble follows Richie around except he doesn't get off scott free, he gets detentions and gets into fights, he's a lanky metal head who no one pays attention to, who's not important to anyone.

They get into a fight and end up in detention together. Mickey doesn't like him, Richie doesn't like Mickey, until they spend that Saturday (Breakfast Club style) in detention, realising they like the same music, argue about sports and realise that they like each other. When they get picked up, Donna goes on and on to Mickey, while Richie's mother scolds him quietly in Polish before dragging him to the car.

Richie always goes around to the Berzattos because there's nothing at home, his parents are always working and it's so quiet there. So why stay there when it's all loud and passionate, Donna's loud and unpredictable, the extended Berzattos all shout and there's drama, Donna cooks too much every night and Richie can't have enough.

Donna doesn't send him to bed without dinner, she pinches his cheeks and comments to Mickey about how someone finally appreciates his food. He watches stuff that's definitely not age appropriate and steals cigarettes and booze from the liquor cabinet. There's always people and light and life and he's there, he's a piece of the puzzle, there's a seat for him at the table. Mickey argues back and Richie's allowed to shout back, allowed to loud and angry and happy and roughhouse.

Mickey invites himself over to Richie's house for dinner one night. He knows that other people's families aren't as loud as his, their mother's don't threaten to kill themselves, other kids don't have to hide booze. What he's surprised by is how Richie shrinks when he's at home, he doesn't laugh loud, he doesn't argue back at Mickey, doesn't shout and holler at his stories. He says grace, in Polish (I reckon he could speak a bit as a kid, but can't understand a lot more than he can speak) because he gets a harsh stare from his dad when he goes to say it in English and doesn't even argue that Mickey's there, and he eats but not too fast and doesn't ask for seconds, thanks for the food and gets up to do the dishes. Mickey gets up to help and tries to get Richie to talk but just glances back at his parents and doesn't.

Richie stays out late, he never goes home and Mickey finally realises that Richie can't be Richie there. But Richie learns from the Berzattos and when his dad insists that he join the Army, he has a massive blowout, screaming at him about how he's not going to listen to him and he'll live his own life, eventually getting to the point where he screams that he's dead to him.

Maybe years later, after Mickey dies and the Bear opens, he wants to get some closer, not that it's the main source of trauma in his life, but he wants to rediscover himself separate from Mickey. We see him using Polish endearments to Eva, so what if he reaches out, uses this new found purpose and trying not to scream, to hear his parents out and try to reconnect to who he is and was

Well, this, uh this director that I admire, he visited this. And when he got there, he was like, "What is this? A bunch of just rocks and combed sand?" He didn't really, you know, know what to make of it, but then, slowly, he began to realize. That the rocks are people. And we're all separated. Yeah. Yeah. Fucking yeah. Exactly.
