Pairing(s): Lee Eun-yu x GN!Reader Summary: Eun-yu's not a fan of how you saved your comrade. Warnings: Fighting, monsters, blood, depictions of wounds, a little spicy at the end but no smut. Word Count: 1,829 Extra Notes: Eun-yu gives me such sub-top vibes. I hope this lived up to your expectations! I'm not super proud of this but I hope you like it :)
“Seok-chan!” You screamed, aiming your gun at the monster in front of him. Luckily, it seemed like the monster wasn’t all that strong, just very angry and focusing all of that anger on your comrade. “Fuck!” You screamed again when you realized you were out of bullets and magazines.
Without thinking, you rushed forward, ignoring the calls of your commander and ramming yourself into the monster’s side.
You were successful at bringing the monster's attention away from Seok-chan. The only problem was now it landed on you.
Both you and the monster were lying on the ground from the impact, but unfortunately for you, it got up first. It lunged for you with its extended and sharp nails and you only barely managed to roll out of the way. You kicked it in the ribs, sending it away from you and giving you enough time to grab the knife strapped around your hip. It got up quickly, lunging at you again, except this time you were unable to completely avoid its trap.
Its claws slash the side of your neck and cheek, luckily not going too deep but still hurting like hell. Its knee landed right on your abdomen, knocking the air from your lungs and unwillingly loosening the grip you had on your knife.
Fuck that.
You used what strength you had left to grip the knife as hard as you could and stab it into the neck of the creature. You did it over and over again until it scrambled away from you, seeming scared and angry.
Before you could catch your breath, you felt someone reach underneath your armpits and start dragging you to the jeep you used to drive there. You didn’t resist, knowing it was your comrades and that you were safe with them.
Once they got you onto the platform in the back, you immediately felt the car start racing forward to wherever their destination was.
“We don’t have anything here to help you with, so we’ll have to wait until we get back to base,” Seok-chan told you softly as he pressed a firm hand against the wound on your side - a cut you didn’t even notice you’d gotten during your time fighting the monster.
“Okay,” you acknowledged before closing your eyes. It was impossible to sleep, but you rested as much as you could until you got back.
Loud snores came from the man on the table in front of you and you groaned.
“I never liked him as the doctor. He’s so weird,” you complained about the Stadium’s resident doctor/scientist, leaning against the door frame while Seok-chan walked around, gathering different equipment to help doctor you up. He snorted and walked back to you with his hands full.
“Can you walk on your own?” He asked. He had helped you walk and get off the jeep after the intense scolding you received from your commander for being so reckless. Your arm had been thrown over his shoulder despite your complaints.
“Yes, I can walk,” you reassured, letting him lead the way so he wouldn’t see the pain on your face when you moved wrong.
You arrived at a bench near some stairs and sat down with him kneeling in front of you. He slapped your hands away when you reached for the equipment, wanting to do it yourself, and you huffed.
You just closed your eyes and leaned back against the walk as he dabbed an alcohol-soaked cloth against the cut on your neck. It stung but you were honestly too tired to show any of your pain other than the slight scrunch of your brows. Next was your cheek, and you heard Seok-chan speak.
“Thank you. For earlier, when you saved me. I wouldn’t be here right now if it wasn’t for your quick thinking. If only your thinking didn’t result in injuring yourself.”
You scoffed out a laugh, “This is nothing. You should’ve seen me in the third grade when I got hit in the back with a kickball and fell face-first on the floor. There was a whole lot more blood than this.”
“Are you seriously comparing a monster attack to being hit with a kickball?” He questioned, trying to hide the laughs bubbling in his throat.
“Maybe, maybe not,” you joked. Silence took over again and your thoughts took over your mind.
I have to tell Eun-yu. She’ll probably kill me for being reckless but at least she’ll know.
Shit, she’ll totally be so pissed.
“Would you like to go out with me?” Seok-chan asked suddenly as he finished putting the bandage on your cheek. You froze, your eyes snapping open to look at him. He was looking directly at you with a confidence that seriously impressed you. When you confessed and asked Eun-yu on a date for the first time, you were shaking in your boots.
“You want to go out with me?” You asked incredulously and he nodded.
“Yes. I’ve liked you for a while and I think I could treat you well if you were mine. So, would you be interested in going out with me?”
Your heart melted slightly, but not in a romantic way. It was just such a cute way to announce your feelings to someone and you knew whoever got with him in the future was a lucky person.
“I’m sorry, Seok-chan. I’m actually-”
“-already in a relationship,” you heard your girlfriend’s voice cut you off from the polite rejection you were going to give him. You turned your neck, wincing slightly as it moved your cut as well, and looked at her. She seemed disheveled and worried. The red bandana she always wore - because of her theories of it being her brother who placed it on her - was wrapped around her upper bicep. Her regularly worn gray ripped jeans covered her legs while a blue shirt - which you were pretty sure was yours - covered the upper half of her body. “So you can fuck off now,” she continued harshly, glaring at Seok-chan from where he sat in front of you. He looked back and forth between the two of you, seeing your ‘she’s right’ look and her intense eyes.
“Oh, okay. I’m sorry I didn’t realize,” he apologized and you smiled at him as he stood. “If you’d like, you can attend to the rest of her injuries,” he offered sweetly, walking over to hand Eun-yu the medkit.
Her eyes widened when she was reminded of the injuries you had supposedly gotten while on your trip with the rest of the soldiers. She took the medkit without looking at him and speed-walked to where you sat. When she kneeled down in front of you with her face set in an angry glare, but her eyes showing the worry she held, you smiled.
“Hi, Angel,” you told her and she scoffed. The next moment, you felt a sharp sting on the cheek unharmed by the monster and your head snapped to the side. You heard Seok-chan gasp and take a step forward to intervene but stopped when her face cupped the cheek she just slapped and crashed your lips into hers. You smiled into the kiss, her hand caressing your cheekbone, dulling the pain that came from that same palm.
“Hi, Reckless,” she told you once she pulled away, slightly mocking your words and you laughed. “What the fuck is wrong with you? Why the hell would you do something like that?”
Seok-chan stood awkwardly to the side, not knowing the right procedure to do in this situation, and you decided to do something for him.
“How about you scold me in our room, how does that sound, Angel?” You lifted a hand to draw your knuckles over her cheek while she decided. Eventually, she gave in, swiftly grabbing your hand and pulling it away from her face so she could use it to assist you in standing up from the bench. She put your arm around her shoulders, wrapping a hand around your waist and grabbing the medkit in the other. You gave an awkward wave to Seok-chan as you walked past him in the direction of your and Eun-yu’s shared room.
When you got to your room, she took your suggestion very literally and started scolding you right away. You were sitting on the bed while she kneeled down in front of you and attended to the sound on your side. You could see her try to hide the blush on her cheeks when you lifted your shirt and you swallowed the laugh that bubbled in your throat, for the sake of her embarrassment.
Once she’d wiped away all the blood, you could see the cut was much smaller than you thought. The large, black-and-blue bruise forming on your abdomen looked much worse.
“You’re so fucking stupid, why would you do that for a stupid soldier like him? If there’s anyone you should be a hero for, it should be me,” she scolded, saying the last part under her breath while she wrapped the bandage around your waist and you almost didn’t hear it.
But you did.
“Angel,” you spoke, putting a halt to her next words of reprimands she had for you. She looked up at you and you could see every emotion she tried to hide from her face. She was done with bandaging you so you reached a hand forward, gently cupping her cheek and pulling her closer. Her hands landed on each side of your hips, dipping into the mattress as she drew closer. When your lips were barely apart, you spoke, “If you really want it that way, you’ll be the only damsel in distress I’ll save from now on,” you promised, rubbing your thumb along her bottom lip and you could hear the tiny way her breath hitched, an action she would deny until her skin rotted off her bones in her casket.
“I do want that,” she told you, still trying to keep up her tough persona but failing as your fingers caressed the skin of her neck. You nodded, slowly scooting up the bed until you were leaning against the wall and pulling her onto your lap. She seemed hesitant because of your injuries but she couldn’t really protest with the way her breath caught in her throat when your lips skimmed over the pulse point on her neck. “B-but what about your-” she tried but got interrupted by you.
“It looks worse than it actually is,” you mumbled while mouthing at her neck, giving her little marks so she would be reminded of your presence for the next week. She let out a tiny whimper when you found her soft spot and you grinned. “Besides, I gotta save my damsel. Seems like she’s having trouble breathing correctly,” you teased and she scoffed, lightly hitting your shoulder.
You made a promise to yourself to be more careful when you went outside. You needed to be around to be Eun-yu’s protector after all.

PLEASE WRITE A FF ABOUT THEM T-T
Okay so I recently started twinkling watermelon (or sparkling watermelon) and I binge watched all 6 eps in one day (yea I'm hooked). I like all the characters and I really like the slow paced romance between Yi Chan and Cheong-Ah. BUT I'M WAY MORE INVESTED IN EUN GYEOUL AND SE KYUNG'S *I mean her daughter's* STORY !! I'm not a good writer so if you're interested in them as well and you're a good writer then please write a fanfic about them if you don't mind :"")<3

Waiting. Lee Eun-Hyeok.
Tumblr media
(This picture was all I could find y'all 😭 +from Safari)
word count: 1.8k
warnings: The use of "Oppa" (I know some people don't like it or think it's cringey so here's your warning.) Unrequited love? Mentions of blood.
summary: Lee Eun-Hyeok's return.
pairing: Lee Eun-Hyeok x Fem!Reader
─── ・ 。゚☆: *.☽ .* :☆゚. ───
It had felt like an eternity since you had been able to meet his dark brown eyes with those of your own. They looked exactly the same, dark brown, yet they weren't your Lee Eun-hyeok's. They were the brown eyes of a stranger.
He stood in front of you appearing as the same man you had been waiting for, longing for, surviving for. His shoulders no longer held the weight of the world on them, which that you were grateful for. To those who didn't know him, his eyes had always lacked a warmth to them; but to you there had once been a small tinge of lightness in them. Now, they truly held nothing but indifference.
As you took in every inch of him, desperate to familiarize yourself with the sight of him once again, he stood looking at you. He wasn't analyzing your every move like he used to, he was simply looking at you. Nothing more and nothing less.
Your arms itched to wrap themselves around him but you refrained from doing so. The air felt tense, not much could be heard aside from your slight uneven breaths. He turned to walk away, "Are you really leaving me again?" His steps slowed to a stop. From his reaction alone you first thought he didn't recognize you.
His back stayed facing you, "Lee Eun-Hyeok, you've been alive all this time, and not once did you try to look for me?" He couldn't even turn to face you. "Why would I?" You could feel the tears begging to spill from your eyes, but you blinked them away. "Because you love me. You love me like I love you." You reached for his hand but stopped midway fearing that he would pull away.
Just how you feared he'd pull away from your touch you feared his response to your words. "Because I waited for you and I lived for you, I almost died searching for just a glimpse of you..." You quietly let out, desperately trying to keep your voice steady. "I never asked you to do any of that." He finally turned toward you. His face was void of emotion, "Do you know the way to the stadium?" His eyes once again met yours, and you looked away not being able to gaze into their emptiness.
"Why are you being like this?"
"So, you don't know how to get to the stadium?" This time you turned your back towards him, trying to catch your breath, because each word he said continued to feel like a punch to the gut, another finger around your throat.
A stray tear stained your cheek, your hand flying up to quickly swipe it away. You faced him once again, "Is that all you care about, huh? The stadium?" You let out a dry laugh. "No," and for a second you had hope, "I don't care about anything, just curious." There he went shredding every ounce of it.
It broke you out of your trance for a second, turning to look at the bus your brother Cha Hyun-Su was trapped in. You were overwhelmed and not sure what to do, various emotions drowning you. "Help me get Hyun-Su out." You nodded to the bus, not wanting to speak of your feelings for him any longer.
"No, this is his test." He said taking a seat on some steps. You huffed, irritation flooding you. It was as if you were speaking to a wall.  "Yah! Lee Eun-Hyeok do something!" You yelled at him. He simply stared at you blankly. "He's a neo-human. He can get himself out."
"What if he can't? I just found him again, please, Lee Eun-Hyeok..." You whispered shakily, sniffling. "Then I guess you're both useless to me." You didn't ever think you'd hear Eun-Hyeok say something like that to you. The last words he'd said were a promise of love and that he would return to you.
Now he sat in front of you not because he had returned to you, but by chance, because he didn't willingly seek you out. "Don't say that. Stop being like this!" You cried out. "I waited all this time for you, just for you to— to what? Hate me? You said you loved me! You promised me you'd come back and you never did! And now you're— you're acting like this!" You gave up on trying to match his nonchalance, you couldn't take it, couldn't stand the sight of his lips in that straight emotionless line. From his unfurrowed brows to his dry eyes, they all led you to the conclusion that he didn't care.
"I don't hate you, and I don't love you." You couldn't even feel your nails digging into the palm of your hands leaving deep crescent marks.
When did he stop loving you? Why did he stop loving you? You didn't want to know. You just wanted to feel his warm embrace around you. What he should've done when he first saw you. Yet here he was calling you useless, another finger tightening around your throat. You weren't sure when you had started crying but there was no stopping the tears now.
You wanted him to see that he was hurting you, you wanted him to stop. Maybe he could see it in your eyes, your desperation to see a glimpse of the Eun-Hyeok you knew because his next words were "I'm not the Eun-Hyeok you remember." Not even flinching at the sight of your tears.
He used to kiss those same tears away, and now he was the cause of them, the fuel that aided them.
"I'm a neohuman, the next step in human evolution."
"I don't care, Hyeok!" He almost flinched at the memory of your nickname for him. Almost.
"I don't care if you're a neohuman or a monster, all I care about is you! But you don't care about me, you don't love..." you didn't finish your sentence, you couldn't. You could no longer hold your body up, falling to the rough tar of the street. You felt a warm liquid against the skin of your knees due to the fall. That pain was nothing compared to the wound to your heart.
Your chest felt as if it was on fire. "Why are you doing this to me?" You sobbed, your hands coming up to cover your eyes.
"Oppa..." you cried for Hyun-Su. Suddenly Eun-Hyeok was crouched beside you as shards of the bus burst through the air. You uncovered your eyes, tears still falling as you looked at Eun-Hyeok.
"If you got hurt he would never agree to help me." You bit your lip to hold in the sob.
You looked past him to see Hyun-Su standing in front of the remains of the bus. His brown eyes made you cry harder. He was back. Eun-Hyeok stood up, as Hyun-Su made his way toward the both of you.
Once he stood in front of you he pulled you to your feet, before his arms tightly embraced you. "Oppa...you're back." You couldn't help but cry, causing him to gently rub your back in an attempt to calm you. "It's okay." Another attempt to soothe you. You hugged him tighter, begging the ache in your heart to go away. He slightly pulled away as your breathing evened out, but tears still raced down your cheeks. He wiped the tears, "I'm sorry." Escaping his lips.
It felt as if he was apologizing for letting dark Hyun-Su take over but also for Eun-Hyoek's actions.
"It's okay, Hyun-Su." You struggled to put a smile on. Eun-Hyeok began walking off toward the way he assumed the stadium was. You squeezed Hyun-Su's hand, "Thank you for coming back to me." You gently said before letting go. You caught up to Eun-Hyeok, grabbing his wrist to stop him. "I'm not letting you leave again. You can hurt me all you want, I don't care how much more pain I have to go through or how long I have to wait for you, I'll wait." You sniffled.
He turned to face you, "I have my memories, but I don't have any emotions." It felt as if this was his way of  apologizing. "That's how it is for us, and we learn fast." He pulled your hand off his own wrist. "If you're fast learners, you can learn emotions. I'll love you... love you until you learn to love me again." You said in an even voice. He remained silent, turning to walk off again.
Another tear slipped from your red eyes. Grabbing his wrist once again you turned, pulling him in the opposite direction, the correct way to the stadium. Your hand clasped his tightly not allowing him to let go. As you reached Hyun-Su your other hand finding his as you continued to make your way to the stadium. Hyun-Su threw a glare at Eun-Hyeok, infuriated that your tears were his cause.
Hyun-Su squeezed your hand in his pulling you more towards him, "You shouldn't wait for him, he doesn't deserve it." He said as if Eun-Hyeok wasn't even there. If it weren't for your hand tightly gripping his cold one, you'd forget he was even there. "I know, but I—I still love him." You stuttered and glanced at Eun-Hyeok whose sharp eyes never strayed from looking in front of him.
You turned resting your head on Hyun-Su's shoulder, "You don't know how much I missed you, Oppa." Eun-Hyeok's eyes cautiously glanced your way as you weren't looking.
"Me too," Hyun-Su replied glancing toward you, placing a kiss to your forehead. A small smile painted your lips. It was your first genuine smile since he had returned. Lee Eun-Hyeok gazed ahead once again, not wanting to stare at your smile for too long. Something about it caused a stir deep within him.
You had grown used to waiting, almost numb to the feeling. You had waited for Lee Eun-Hyeok, for your brother Cha Hyun-Su, if you had to wait a little longer to truly be united with the man you loved then that is what you will do. You refused to believe that the Eun-Hyeok you love was no longer within the man beside you. You knew deep within him he was there somewhere. Although Eun-Hyeok had crushed all your hope, the return of your Hyun-Su reignited it. You had Hyun-Su now, and that would be enough.
You will ignore the ache in your heart and wait for Lee Eun-Hyeok's return. You will gaze into his dark brown cold eyes with the warmth of your own. Meet his emotionless face with your own filled with desperation, love, any other emotion you could muster. You will love this shell of a man that used to be your Eun-Hyeok. Because it's all you could do.

¿What do you want me to do? — Cha Hyun-su
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
pairing: Cha Hyun-su x fem!reader
genre: fluff.
warnings: tension between hyun-su and reader (?), kissing
a/n: this fic is about if it was you instead of Eun-yu in THAT scene of season2 ep8 of sweet home. when monster Hyun-su starts asking Eun-yu what should they do or, what does she want him to do.
Tumblr media
You were on the hospital with Hyun-Su, Eun-yu, and the soldier Chan-young. Hyun-su just had a fight with monster Yi-kyung, he was all covered in blood, and right now he was sleeping in one of the hospital rooms. This is the first time that you could properly see Hyun-su after what happened on Green Home, it has been months since the last time you saw him. You and Hyun-su had a “thing” before, both of you liked each other, but nothing actually happened.
“Is he even alive?” the soldier said standing up from his chair. “he has been lying on the floor for the past 25 minutes”.
“Maybe he is just tired, Yi-kyung noona was a very special person for him” you explained.
“Go check on him, y/n” the short hair girl suggested. “Probably he will speak to you”.
“Okay” you simply answered.
You opened the door of the room, now seeing an awake Hyun-su sitting on the corner of the small bed.
“Cha Hyun-su” you said, no answer. “Cha Hyun-su…”
He turned his head, opening slowly his eyes and looking at you. They were now a beautiful blue color, but that just could mean one thing, the Hyun-su you knew, was gone.
He stand abruptly from the bed, looking into your eyes and walking towards you. Was he going to hurt you? No, Hyun-su would never do that. You took a bar of metal that was on the floor, you know, just in case.
“Are you going to hit me with that?” he asked.
“Bring him back” you said firmly. “Bring Hyun-su back, now”
“His hurt, leave him to rest. I was just helping him out because he was hurt. Give me a break” Hyun-su said looking at himself in the mirror. His shoulder was hurt, it had an open wound and it was still bleeding. But a few seconds later, it was completely gone.
“Wasn’t Hyun-su in control?” you asked him.
“I’m also Hyun-su”
“Not you, the real Hyun-su.”
“We agreed to help each other, it wouldn’t be great for me if he died” the monster explained.
“Just leave him alone and get lost” you said without hesitation, you wanted to talk with your Hyun-su.
“Really? Would you be okay with that?” Hyun-su said coming closer and closer to you. “Would you be okey with Cha Hyun-su who is weak?”
“Yeah, i will be totally fine with that Hyun-su”
He was now inches away from you, his tall and strong figure almost covering yours. Hyun-su lowered his head in a way that now his face was on the same level as yours, his eyes were scanning your face, and you were just standing still.
“What are you doing?” you asked almost in a whisper, nervousness covering your body.
“I don’t know” he paused, a cocky smirk covering his face. “What do you want me to do?”
He came to your face even closer, his lips almost touching yours. You didn’t now what to answer, it was like your voice was totally gone. Having Hyun-su this close was a new sensation that your body was actually enjoying a lot.
“I bet that he haven’t even kiss you before.” Hyun-su said laughing a bit. “I have to admit it, we have good taste, ‘cause you’re a pretty pretty girl…”
“Then do it” you whisper softly, the words just slipping from your mouth.
“As you wish” he answered.
His lips crash directly into yours, one of his hands cupping your cheek while the other one was holding your waist. Your hands were on his neck, trying to pull him closer and feel every single part of him on your body. This was the first time you kiss Hyun-su since what happened on green home, and god, you’ve miss him so much.
You broke softly the kiss, opening your eyes now to see normal Hyun-su back, his brown eyes with a look of surprise and his cheeks getting red.
“I’m glad your back” you smiled, your hands going through his hair and pulling him into a hug.
“Did he said something mean to you?” Hyun-su asked worried.
“No he didn’t, but he did something you didn’t do before…” you answered.
“I didn’t knew if you still like me…” he said looking down, his hands now holding yours. “I needed a boost of confidence to prove it and he was the only candidate i had”
“You could just ask Eun-yu, you know she is my best friend” you said smiling.
“I did, and she told me to discover it by myself” you laughed.
“Well, now you do know how i feel about you” you told him, his head hiding on the crook of your neck. you loved how shy he got around you.
“I missed you” he said now looking at your face. “I was always thinking about you, you were on my mind all the time”
“I’ve miss you too Hyun-su, but please… don’t leave again” you told him, almost begging him not to leave.
“I won’t leave, not when i have you here with me again”
You pull him into a hug again, you could stay like this for ever, with him.
“I love you” you said to him, watching his cheeks become red again. “Why do you get all shy when i say cute things to you” you asked laughing.
“You make me nervous” Hyun-su laughing with you. “I love you too”

Tumblr media
It had started with a simple nose bleed. Blood cascading down the lower half of her face, caking her skin in a thick crimson layer. No amount of tissue could plug the stream gushing out of her nose, it was never ending.
Soon came the voices and hallucinations. It was different from the usual times she would hear herself talk, this time it sounded disparate - distorted in a sense. Degrading and belittling her, telling her to give in to her sins and to let it cleanse her of all the negative thoughts and feelings swimming in the deep, dark pit of her chest.
Then there was quiet. Peace. Not a single breath could be heard. But it seemed a switch had been flipped, the painful screams ripping from her throat as a burning sensation overcame her body. It was like her body was set alight, fire coursing just below her skin and deep within her bones. It was like no other feeling she had ever experienced.
Soon followed darkness. Just an empty void. Her consciousness was locked away deep inside her mind, like her brain had put her on pause until further notice. Floating weightlessly within the depths of her mind, free from the thoughts and torment her own subconscious inflicted upon her.
Y/n shot up with a gasp, her skin was clammy with cold sweat. Her clothes clinging to her body as she pushed the damp locks away from her face. It was just a dream. It wasn’t real. Or so she kept telling herself. Her eyes were still clouded with sleep, blinking a few times as they slowly focused. The young girl looked around, breathing a sigh of relief once she took in the surroundings around her.
The day-care, on the ground level of Green Home, was packed tightly with the residents from the upper floors, all spread out on the floor sleeping somewhat peacefully. Y/n pushed herself up off the floor, carefully stepping over stretched out limbs as she trudged out of the room. The air was cold, something she wouldn't usually welcome but it was a big contrast to her burning skin. The young girl had sat on the floor of the lobby, staring out of the main doors enshrouded by the shutters as she took in the destruction outside the complex. Monsters roaming around carelessly, cars tipped over on their sides, buildings barely standing. It was the complete opposite of how the city looked a couple days ago.
Shuffling could be heard beside the girl, it was quiet but she still heard it. Y/n turned her head slowly to look at what, or who, was making the noise, only to see the brooding Pyeon Sang-Wook leaning against the wall beside her; a cigarette perched between his lips. Burn scars littered the side of his face, travelling down his neck tucking itself away into the collar of his leaf print shirt. No one knew much about Sang-Wook, he looked like a force to be reckoned with and that was enough for the other residents to steer clear of him, though not the younger Lee sibling. Eun-Yu could be seen trailing behind the man every chance she had, it was endearing in an odd sort of way.
Y/n turned back around, ignoring him like she did with everyone else. She was an antisocial little thing, keeping to herself even while the world ended in front of her very eyes. The only person she seemed to tolerate was Cha Hyun-Su and still, it was to a bare minimum. The pair never really talked, instead she would sit outside the door to the room he had been locked away in, staring at him like he was some kind of science experiment. She didn't care he was part monster, no, she was intrigued by it.
Sang-Wook eyed the young girl, deep brown irises taking in the side of her face that was on view for him to see. Deep purple bags kissing below her eyes, making them look sunken. Her skin looked pale, but maybe that was just down to being locked inside the complex with near to no sunlight. The older man was quiet, observing her like she was nothing he had ever seen before.
"Even if the world has ended, you could still have some manners and not stare." Y/n spoke up, her voice a little gravely. She didn't need to look at him to know the exact look on his face. Eyebrows knitted together ever so slightly, his jaw ticked faintly that even someone with 20/20 vision wouldn't be able to pick it up. Sang-Wook scoffed, taking a long drag of his cigarette though he didn't speak, he never did. It was something Y/n loathed. The young girl huffed, turning her whole body to face Sang-Wook as she stared up at him.
"The scars. How did you get them?" She spoke up once more, this was the first time she had spoken more than one sentence to anyone in Green Home. Her eye's were trained on the older man, almost taunting him as she leaned forward on her elbows. Sang-Wook still didn't answer, just looking at her with a blank expression. The pair were interrupted from their mini staring contest by Lee Eun-Hyuk, the appointed leader of Green Home.
His glasses sat snuggly on the bridge of his nose as he looked between the two with a knowing gaze, his honey brown eyes locking onto Y/n's face for a moment before he looked away. "Why are you awake?" And there it was, the tone of pure annoyance. Y/n looked up at Eun-Hyuk quizzically, her head tilted to the side as if she didn't know what he was talking about. Though she didn't utter a single word, opting for staying quiet as she turn back around to peer out between the shutters once more.
Tumblr media
It had been approximately four days since the outbreak. The residents of Green Home all crowding around together in the lobby as Eun-Hyuk explained the buddy system to everyone, telling them they always had to have their counterpart with them at all times in case a monster somehow got into the building. Y/n had the unfortunate pleasure of being paired up with Eun-Hyuk himself, saying something along the lines of "I don't trust you can take care of yourself." Which had earned an irritated grumble from the girl, muttering insults under her breath as she slumped back against the steps leading up to the now blocked stairwell.
It wasn't that she hated Eun-Hyuk, she just didn't believe in his views or entirely like how he lead the group of survivors but like she could do any better. The young girl trailed behind Eun-Hyuk, her hands shoved into the pockets of the dirtied hoodie that barely fit her. She followed the older Lee sibling everywhere, from the security office all the way to the bathroom where she stood outside tapping her foot impatiently, and yet she still didn't talk. That was until she saw fit.
Everyone was chilling in the day-care, opening the packages they had gotten before the lockdown had happened. Chatting away about what they would do once everything was back to normal. Just outside the room though, Eun-Hyuk was talking with Hyun-Su, Sang-Wook and Yi-Kyeong about going down into the garage to see if there was a way out. Y/n was leaning against one of the walls, listening in on the conversation.
"I want to go. I know where they keep the keys to the cars down there." She spoke up, her voice just loud enough for the group to turn around and look at her in shock. "Not happening." Eun-Hyuk was the first to say anything, his eyebrows knitted together as he scowled at the girl. "If you're going down there then I have to too, buddy." Sarcasm laced her tone as she spoke, her eyes glaring at Eun-Hyuk slightly. And just like that, she had been accepted as part of their little group of monster hunters.

Ackkk the way I squealed. Eun Hyuk’s mentioning of her ankle, y’all the significant of that 😭
And sweet Hyunsu’s immediately worry and asking if she’s hurt. Boy that was years ago. But he wears his heart on his sleeve and we love that.

I love how Eun-yu cares about everyone but shows it in such a condescending and mean way, its genuinely so hilarious to me.

trouble in paradise -> eun-hyeok, eun-yu, jae-heon, sang-wook + ???
a/n: still not over sweet home season 3....or s2....or s1...so i got to thinkin of some fun lil scenes <3 and i did my last exam today so yaaaay!
(cws: GN pronouns, major sweet home spoilers s1-3, mild angst in some places, some established relationships, implied lewds, minor lover's quarrels, a teensy smidgen of yandereness, short & sweet <3)
Lee Eun-hyeok
Tumblr media
“Are we going to talk about it?”
“Nope.”
Each step he climbed would’ve made him hesitate–god only knew what could be lurking around the upper floors of Green Home–but when he was following after you, he seemed almost nonchalant. If not for the slightest furrow of his brow and the quiet dip in his stern voice, you might be convinced he was arguing about dinner plans rather than a fate of life or death.
“Stop running away from me.” Eventually he caught up, and yanked on your wrist with a firm grasp that stopped you at the top of the landing. The second floor was only half a staircase away, and the nerves finally showed in the quickening of his breath, a slight swallow around the lump in his throat that made his adam’s apple bob.
“I’m not running,” You insisted, albeit coldly, as you stared back down at him. “I’m getting away from the person who’s annoying me right now. Which just so happens to be you.” Eun-hyeok sighed in that mild, barely-bothered way of his, like it was too much to even huff wholeheartedly.
“You know how I feel about you.”
“Do I? You’ve never said it.” His grip tightened. “Why does it matter, anyways?”
“You know why.”
How typical. It always bothered you that Eun-hyeok acted like you should know everything that he did, and even when you did, he never praised you for it and often he barely acknowledged it at all, unless you forced him to. He was uptight and cold and stern, annoying and awkward and always made you feel like you were an idiot, even when he was the one being stupid.
So the warmth of his hand on your wrist shouldn’t have made you feel so hot in the chest, nor should it draw you to him as he stepped up the last few stairs and towered over you on the landing.
“You’re too tall, idiot.” You muttered under your breath.
“Make me shorter, then.” He answered, a half-smile threatening to cross his lips, but he was still too annoyed at you for volunteering to sweep the second floor yourself to show it. He wouldn’t give you even a modicum of satisfaction for going against the unspoken pact you made with him, however unknowingly; If I care about you, then don’t put yourself in harm’s way.
But honestly, he was so easy to take off guard. The gentle graze of your fingertips against his cheek loosened his grip on you in an instant, his hold growing slack the longer you looked him in the eyes. For someone so stuck-up and strict, his were surprisingly soft, almost wet like the baleful, brown gaze of a puppy-dog’s. He leaned in to your hands cupping his face, his touch lingering on your arm, and the kiss you shared–though brief–moulded a brush of chapped lips on warm ones to a silent agreement. I love you even though I can’t say it, I care for you in egregious ways, and with that in mind, let’s never speak of this to the others. The kiss hadn’t broken for more than five seconds before he opened his big mouth again.
“...At least wait for Hyun-su to return. He can go by himself.”
“Oh, for god’s sakes.” You rolled your eyes, and begrudgingly showed no resistance as he walked you back down the steps, his hand tightly clamped over yours.
Lee Eun-yu
Tumblr media
The last time she looked back at your bunk, she clearly must've thought you were there. Because when you showed up just inside the entrance to the back way out of the stadium, Eun-yu startled and nearly whacked you when the beam of her flashlight panned over your disapproving face.
“Shit,” She gasped, only faltering for a moment before she huffed at the sight of you and lowered the light from your eyes. “Where the hell did you come from?”
“The better question is: where the hell are you going?” Your scowl nearly stung as much as your arms crossing over your chest. You were so pretty when you were mad, she thought, but she had no idea of the storm you were ready to unleash on her for sneaking out of the stadium. Again. “Eun-yu.” You reminded her sternly. She clicked off the flashlight and met your eyes in the dark before she answered.
“It's dangerous down here. Go back up.” She moved to step past you, only to be stopped by your hand on her arm.
“You think you can get rid of me that easy?” The fact that you felt brave enough to step back in front of her and block her way spoke volumes. Anyone else in the stadium's commune would avoid Eun-yu at every opportunity, for fear of her reputation and what she may do if she got angry.
Your relationship with her, however, spanned much deeper and closer than that. You spent time together, shared your feelings–she talked and cried to you about her brother, her family, and you spilled your secrets to her when you shared a quiet bunk together or a rare morning outside. She would reach for you when she slept and you found yourselves growing so close, so reliant on one another, that Chief Ji would punish you with fewer rations when Eun-yu pissed her off. Your girlfriend would just give you hers anyways or share from the stash she kept from her exploits outside, but it still widened the gap and nurtured the growing disdain they had for each other whenever Ji got you involved.
Eun-yu's expression soured in the dim light; she didn't have the stomach to push you off or shove you aside, but she certainly wouldn't be stopped when she had a goal in mind–at least not easily.
“At least let me come with you-”
“No!” She cried out of instinct, shaking her head furiously as she cut you off. “I-I need you to wait here for me. I need you to be here when I get back. You can't come–it's too dangerous.”
“And it's not dangerous for you?” The instant she opened her mouth to refute that, you clicked your tongue and released her arm from your tight grasp. “You're ridiculous. You're not invincible, Eun-yu. One of these days you're going to die out there, and I'll have to be the one sneaking out to go bring back your corpse!”
Just as those words echoed down the dark, humid tunnel, the sounds of footsteps approaching sent Eun-yu crashing into you. She grabbed you sideways and thrust you up against the wall, out of sight, slotting her body up as close as she could get against yours while her hand remained clamped over your mouth. You waited with your breath held back in your throat for whoever it was to pass by, the whole time trying not to think of how warm she was against you or how many nights you'd spent identical to this. Eun-yu's weight pinning you down, her hand covering your mouth, whispering sweet reminders in your ear to keep quiet as she brought you to the edge over, and over, and over again. Privacy was so scarce, and when she got the chance to tug a tarp or a blanket over your bunk and get a taste of you, she took it.
That's exactly what she must've felt as she finally pulled away, the benign footsteps having disappeared down the corridor. Because she barely slid her hand off your mouth and even when she did, she slipped a finger inside and smirked when you nipped at it. “Cute.”
“You're not off the hook, you know.” You whispered back, spit smeared over your chin from her digits grazing down towards your chest. Despite struggling to keep your head higher, Eun-yu was so hard to resist when she wanted you to relinquish that high-and-mighty attitude of yours. Your breath hitched as she squeezed you through your shirt, and hers tickled against your wet skin with a murmur into your mouth.
“I know.”
And just like that, she practically strolled away and left you high and dry, still panting and warm-faced from the closeness you so rarely had the opportunity to share. At your huffing behind her, she flicked a cheeky smile over her shoulder and waved, which only led her to chuckle when you flipped the bird in reply and moved to clamber back through the passageway's opening. One of these days, you wouldn't keep falling for her tricks–but that day was definitely not today.
Jung Jae-heon
Tumblr media
“Hello, darling.” Being sweet again, was he? “I brought you some tea.”
You hummed in acknowledgement, but didn't bother to peer up from your book. Truthfully, you had just been flipping through pages absentmindedly for a while–it was just some old manual for the security system terminal that you could barely decipher. Not that you were really trying, anyways. Jae-heon, as magnanimous, faithful, and devoted as he was, had crossed the line this time.
The secret stash of ice cream you had been keeping in your cooler–saved with care for the literal end of the world–had fallen victim to the two children who joined you on the first floor fort. He knew you kept that particular brand for special occasions, and what better occasion for a nostalgic flavour than the apocalypse? But Jae-heon was aware of that too and he still let the children eat it. Granted, he told you right away, but it still pissed you off and rightfully so.
Your partner sighed and set the teacup down, took his seat in the chair by your spot, and pushed his glasses further up the bridge of his nose before he wrung his hands together. “How can I make this up to you?” He seemed genuinely remorseful for what he'd done, and although it was indeed trivial, he knew as well as anyone else here that the little things were sacred these days. Everyone was on edge at all times, so for the godly man you loved to turn on you really did hurt your feelings in the moment, even though you knew he didn't mean it. He was only being kind to the others, which you were still glad to say was one of his only flaws in your partnership; a generosity that spanned too far for some of the people he offered it to.
In all honesty, you were over it already and just wanted to squeeze a little more of his attention out of him. But you weren't a heartless person, you wouldn't make him suffer much longer–you turned your head to peer over at him, and spoke with a deadpan that you knew would throw him off.
“Premarital sex.”
Taken aback, he stuttered out an “I'm–I'm sorry?” and looked at you with wide eyes. You shrugged, and turned your attention back to your book.
“You heard me. I want your innocence.”
“I-I'm not a virgin, my darling.” Jae-heon's answer was clearly puzzled, and there was no better way to take advantage of it. You rolled your eyes in mock-surprise and slung an insult back his way.
“You whore. I thought you would save yourself for me–now you owe me even more.” With a click of your tongue, you made no effort to mask the sarcastic smile on your lips as you teased him.
“Language, darling. But…that seems like a fair exchange.” He finally answered. You shot up in your seat with a “Huh?”, the manual quickly forgotten and abandoned in your lap. Jae-heon folded his hands over the gap between his parted knees and looked away, unable to meet your eyes. But you knew you heard it, and he knew that you knew.
“You want to sleep with me?” You blurted out, and at your embarrassment and the clap of your hands over your mouth he finally laughed the tension away.
“Of course I–I do, my darling, I do.” He sat up straight in an attempt to regain his composure, clearly trying not to get too excited. “Since we first met, in fact. I spent many nights–ah, well, we don't have to speak of that.” He flushed darkly up to his ears.
“No, tell me!” You insisted, hopping off the couch to kneel in front of him, grasping at his clasped hands. He leaned back and cleared his throat, averted his eyes, closed his legs, anything and everything to hide the surge of desire that just coursed through him because of the contact. “You have to tell me. Please?”
“No, no, never mind.”
“Jae-heon!”
“All in due time.” He smiled down the bridge of his glasses. “To practice patience is god's will. But I'm…happy you're excited. Very happy.” A gentle pat on your head to steady you, he leaned down far for a kiss. Careful, gentle, and as soft as butterfly wings on your lips…you could only imagine what those kisses would feel like more intimately, and how he would treat you with such reverence under the covers as he did in all other aspects of life.
But it was as he said. Just a matter of time.
Pyeon Sang-wook
Tumblr media
The first time you met Sang-wook, he reeked of nothing but smoke and spiced cologne.
It was no surprise that it had been an elevator ride that you'd first sensed him; he stood too tall and the space too cramped to not notice his presence, and all the sensations that hung in the air around him. A plastic bag swished at the side of his loose pants, held low and heavy with rolls and rolls of what looked like duct tape. You couldn't help but wonder at the time; what in the world did he need all that for? But you had heard of a man with a burnt face who worked as a gangster, and that fact alone was enough to shut you up and keep you quiet for the duration of that silent elevator ride. You politely nodded your head and smiled at him as you exited, purely out of courtesy, and that was all you'd seen of him until now.
You never thought you would be so glad to see the gangster show up at the end of the hall, his eyes wild with rage as he wrestled with the man that had chased and stalked you up three whole floors. You'd met your neighbour only in passing and didn't know much about him, just that he seemed polite and a bit awkward, but that façade melted away in an instant when he stumbled upon you in the corridor alone. His unnerving attempts to lure you into his apartment set off your alarm bells, so when he lunged forward to grab you and only missed by a hair, you didn't hesitate to start running as he chased you with a sledgehammer. By the time Sang-wook came to your rescue, you really thought you were as good as dead.
It was even more awkward to follow him down the steps of the fire escape afterwards, silently reconciling with the fact that you had just watched this man kill another person in brutal fashion. Sure, the world had changed practically overnight, but you still weren't used to the monsters–even those that resided inside the bodies of your fellow man.
By comparison, Sang-wook waited on every landing for you to catch up. Although he was quiet and scary-looking, he offered you a hand down the rickety, unstable stairs and braced your arm as you wobbled. How someone with so much rage in his body could be so gentle, when he just painted the walls of the upper hallway with crimson, was by itself a staggering revelation.
“Be careful.” He mumbled under his breath, and nodded his head towards the overgrown vines in your path. With his help, you safely stepped over them–you didn't even want to imagine how far the fall would be if you tripped and went tumbling over the railing.
“You should take your own advice.” You finally spoke up, which seemed to take him somewhat by surprise, even if it was just a silent raise of his eyebrows. “You're pretty reckless.” Sang-wook shrugged, and kept on his way. Though there were much fewer obstacles the further down you got, he still walked a step ahead to guide you down unhindered.
“You would be dead otherwise.” Good point. “Or worse.”
“Either way, thank you.” You squeezed his arm as the framing jiggled with the breeze, too frozen with nerves to keep going until it stopped again. And he didn't let go of you either until it did. “If there's anything you want in exchange, just ask.”
“I don't need anything.” He shook his head resolutely. Funny that this was the most you'd heard him talk in all the time you'd spent living in the same building as him.
“Really? Are you sure?” You held out your hand to offer the ring off your finger, which had been a gift and likely one of the most expensive things you owned, which wasn't saying much. He brushed off the offer and kept moving down the railing, his eyes not even in the vicinity of looking at it. What a stubborn guy. Out of curiosity, you threw out a slew of other things he might want as a reward; money, food, cigarettes, even sex, and he rejected each and every one of them without even thinking about it–except for the last one, which he almost seemed to ponder with a quick glance at you and then back to the stairs. It was actually getting a bit frustrating that he seemingly had no motives for saving your life, aside from the conscience of a good Samaritan that you would be shocked to find in as heartless of a murderer as he proved to be. Finally, you got to the last landing of the fire escape, and the door that led into the first floor sanctuary he mentioned in passing, but aside from holding it open for you he made no move to follow.
“Aren't you coming?” You cocked your head, puzzled. The absence of any reaction save for a slight shake of his head told you all you needed to know. In the heat of the moment, you stepped back out on to the landing with him and shut the door behind you, leaving him standing uncomfortably close–but not quite close enough for him to move away. “Where are we going, then?”
“You're not going anywhere.” He grunted. “Stay here.”
“No.”
“Do it.”
“I refuse.”
Sang-wook huffed, shoved the door open again, and pushed you in with a firm hand on the small of your back. Your feet flailed and slid beneath you as you stumbled into the corridor, and too fast for you to swing around in time, the door slammed shut in your face before you could get back out. He ignored the thudding of your fist and your voice ringing out in protest, the fire escape squeaking further and further away as he climbed back up the stairs.
Fine. Be that way. You rolled your eyes, but out of your peripheral you spotted the set of doors down the hall that led to the interior staircase, and the idea hit you too soon for you not to hurry towards it. You'd surely find a way to squeeze what he wanted out of him, whether he wanted to admit it or not…and besides, who better to stick next to in a dangerous situation than the most dangerous man in Green Home?
Lee Eun-hyeok (neohuman)
Tumblr media
“I recognize you.” The man above you murmured, his gaze intense but his tone void of any real emotion. If you didn’t know any better, you would assume he was a human. But humans didn’t move so fast, heal so quickly, and walk the streets of the world freely without any fear of monsters, all three of which you’d seen him do in the last ten minutes of tracking him.
It had Eun-hyeok’s face, but it was impossible to tell whether it was really Eun-hyeok. That boy who had come along with the raiders at the apartments could roam around with a human body, so who was to say there wasn’t another monster who could do the same with a familiar face?
“I-I don’t know you,” You panicked, and the monster scoffed. He only stood over you, having dragged you out from behind the car you’d been watching him from, and the street was wide and long. You could scramble up to your feet and run away if you tried…and only if he wasn’t interested in chasing you, which he didn’t seem to be.
“You shouldn’t lie to me.” His shoe scraped on the pavement, which made you jump at the noise alone. You were so startled, so afraid, with that shocked expression on your face. There was no way you didn’t know him. It just simply wasn’t possible. “Come on. If you want to play hide-and-seek with me, then you should at least hide better.” The false Eun-hyeok got down on one knee, and leaned over so far his lips just barely brushed the shell of your ear as he whispered.
“I remember the sounds we made together. I know what your flesh feels like,” His hand hovered over your calf, careful to grip it so he wouldn’t break a bone by mistake. The way he touched it alone was far too familiar for comfort, and sent shockwaves up your leg that you forced yourself to ignore. “-The way you kiss me when you reach the edge. You can’t lie to me. I know everything about you.”
“No you don’t,” You shoved at his chest, breaking the contact between you that was sparking closer and closer to an all-consuming blaze. Eun-hyeok’s face stared back at you, unbothered and emotionless, but not quite cold. That wouldn’t account for the heat in his stare that was only slightly dissipating. “You’re not Eun-hyeok. Not even close.”
“I’m as close as you can get.” He murmured back, holding your gaze for so long you wondered if he would just reach out and kill you with one hand–but he didn’t. Eventually, he got to his feet, and effortlessly held out a hand for you to take. “Either you come with me, or I let you die.”
“I would rather die.”
“Don’t be stupid.”
“You’re the stupid one if you think I’m gonna trust you.” Eun-hyeok’s clone sighed, and drew back his hand. “Fair enough,” he muttered under his breath, and you figured he would end it there, leave, and let you wonder for the rest of your life whether or not you had rebuffed the real Eun-hyeok, the one that you wished you never had to leave behind. But not so, because in nothing more than a moment, Eun-hyeok lifted you off the ground like a child and slung you over his shoulder to start walking.
“Hey!” You shrieked, pounding on his back with your fists while your legs threatened to thrash–though he held them tight with his free arm to keep you from hitting him in the face. “Let me go! Eun-hyeok!”
“I changed my mind. You’re not free to go.” He replied over his shoulder, and gave you a light smack on the thigh as you continued to wiggle. Little did you notice the smart half-smirk that crept across his face as he led onwards, and it was better that you didn’t. You wouldn’t want to know of all the things he planned to do with his new body, once it finally clicked for you that this Eun-hyeok would always be yours.

Viva La Vida
Twinkling watermelon has ended and now I don't know what to watch. My Mondays and Tuesdays aren't going to twinkle anymore now :(.
My thoughts on the ending : Keeping all the criticism about the ending aside, I think this was the best possible ending for everyone. Ha Eun Gyeol's family isn't struggling anymore as Ha Yi Chan and Yoon Cheong Ah are both successful, happy and charming as ever. Most importantly they are still in contact with their bandmates (their friends learned sign language for them and that's the cutest thing ever :( ). Ha Eun Gyeol doesn't feel 'burdened' anymore and can finally do what he always loved. On Eun Yu isn't suffering anymore either as she changed her mother's future which ended up changing her present as well. And Ha Eun Gyeol and On Eun Yu ENDED UP TOGETHERRR!!!

~ Chapter 1. 04 ~
I apologize in advance for any spelling or grammar mistakes and how poorly written this fanfic is. English is not my first language and together with my dyslexia ass things can go wrong I'm sorry.
Tumblr media
My head was bobbing to the music that was playing through my headset while I was finishing doing the dishes. The rest of the day went by normally. Nobody was weird and everything was just normal.
Normal is all I needed right now in my life with not too much stress.
I turned around to grab something from the counter when my ears began to ring. Grabbing my headset I took it off thinking it was that, but it was still there.
"What the hell," I mutter when it got louder before completely disappearing.
Great, put that on the list with the other things I have.
My phone went off that was on my couch making me snap out of whatever that just was. When I grabbed it I saw that it was Ji-su. She asked if I could come to her apartment because she wanted to let me hear something that she made for a song we were working on. I typed yes, but also said I needed to change first because I was still in the clothes I wore to work.
I took a grey long-sleeved shirt from the chair that I had in my room slipping it on before taking the black dress with spaghetti straps from the door where it was hanging. Taking my phone from the counter I walked to the door and put on my black covers.
The moment I walked out the door something felt wrong. The air was so thick that it almost was hard to breathe. I could feel my stomach turn telling me that something was off. I had had this feeling before. Every time I walked into the orphanage and it was so quiet I could feel that something was wrong or something bad would happen.
Most of the time I would be right because quickly afterward there would be a fight in the orphanage where someone would be in danger and whatnot. I'm pretty sure I developed it because I have had to be in survival mode my whole life there. I always had to look over my shoulder making sure I was safe.
Quickly I just shrug it off telling myself that it's all in my head and that I'm safe here. I came around the corner where the elevators were and saw Eun-hyuk standing there.
"Hey, going to work?" I asked grabbing his attention.
"Yeah. You?" He asked pressing the button for the elevator.
"I'm going to hang out with a friend that lives upstairs." He nodded looking away before talking again.
"Do you know how Eun-yu paid for her lessons?" I gave him a confused look.
"Why would I know that?" I asked with a laugh at the end.
"You two hang out a lot and I'm pretty sure you're the only one she talked to for the last couple of months." A frown came to my face at first, but then it hit me.
She told me she quit her lessons, but I guess she doesn't want him to know that. I didn't want to lie to him because he was also my friend.
"Eun-hyuk you are putting me in a tough spot here. If I tell you I would betray Eun-yu's trust, but I also don't want to lie to you. It's like asking to choose between you guys," I said scratching the back of my head.
A chuckle left his lips while he looked down before looking back up at me.
"I admire your loyalty to my sister and my friendship. It makes you a good friend, which she needs because she hasn't had one in a while. Maybe you could keep her out of trouble as well." I was happy that he understood what I meant.
"Do you also need a good friend right now? Seeing how you're always working and stuff. I haven't really seen you do other stuff than that," I admitted looking down while playing with my hands.
"You already are a good friend to me." He answers after a few seconds of silence.
I look back up at him seeing him smile at me.
"You're a lot over at our place and you don't ignore me like Eun-yu wanted you to do. We have fun conversations about old video games we used to play or really serious once when you have to wait on Eun-yu because she disappeared again." I let out a chuckle nodding my head.
I can't count on my hands how many times Eun-yu had disappeared in the evening. It always results in a worrying Eun-hyuk standing at my door asking if I know where she is. Most of the time I help him go look for her or try to call her because she would answer more likely to me than him.
"I'm happy you think about it that way," I answer truthfully.
"Can you just do two things for me?" He asked and in response, I nodded my head.
"Can you take care of her when I'm not around? She has the habit of getting in trouble and she needs someone to pull her back when she's going to do something, well stupid." I laugh knowing he was right.
After knowing her for a few months I know her ways to do it.
"The second one?"
"Can you tell me when she did something dangerous even if she asks you not to?" A frown came to my face while I bit on my lip.
If it were my sister I would be worried too and I would be happy if someone could tell me if everything is already with her.
"Yeah, I can do that."
He smiled at me before looking at the elevator.
"That's weird."
With a confused look, I looked at him.
"What?"
He looks up and down the elevator door before answering.
"The elevator isn't here yet. It should have been here a few minutes ago." Because of the talking, we hadn't noticed that any sound or movement was coming from behind the elevator door.
Looking to my right I saw what was wrong.
"Look, it's under maintenance. It's the stairs for us today." I look back at him and see him letting out a deep sigh putting his hands on his neck before looking back up.
"I guess you're right." I let out a laugh while we began to make our way to the stairs.
"So how are you doing lately? Are you still having those nosebleeds?" I didn't intend to tell anyone about it, but a few days ago I was over at their apartment in the evening because Eun-yu wanted my help with something.
When suddenly my nose began to bleed.
A lot.
I was used to it by then, but they weren't. I tried to stop it at first with the tissues she had in her room, but when she saw that it didn't stop she yelled for her brother who came rushing into the room because she never yelled for him. She yelled at him to do something pointing at me which he did. Having a brother who got into medical school is always handy. The bleeding stopped, but I fainted quickly afterward.
I woke up the next day in Eun-yu's bed with her looking down at me. The first thing she said was that I scared the shit out of her before asking me if I was okay. Of course, after that, I had to tell them about how it has been happening for a few days now, but that I have no idea why and that I'm okay.
Eun-hyuk wanted me to go to the hospital and let them check if everything was alright, which I quickly said no to. I don't really like people touching me. It brings back bad memories.
"I'm actually fine. I haven't had a nosebleed or fainted in a day or so now." Which was a miracle because I had them a lot.
"That's great. If it would have lasted any longer I would have taken you myself to the hospital. It could have been something really dangerous." It could be, but it's over now. It was probably related to stress. Seeing how the last couple of months have been before and right after moving here.
"Ooooh, does Lee Eun-hyuk care for someone else than his sister? Eun-yu was wrong and you are a human with feelings and not some super smart robot someone had created to annoy her." I laugh teasing him.
He tried to hide his smile, but I could see the corner of his mouth move.
"Honestly, that is probably one of the more friendliest things she has called me." I laugh nodding at him.
We said goodbye to each other when we finally reached the stairs, both going different ways. Before I took my first step up I turned around yelling his name.
"Eun-hyuk, she isn't in any danger."
A frown came on his face not knowing what I meant.
"Her lessons. She didn't do anything stupid so don't worry about it."
I began to walk up the stairs hearing him chuckle before walking down.
I know that Eun-yu is adopted. She had told me that a few months ago. It was one of the first times she opened up to me. She had shown me a picture of them when they were little with their parents. I knew their parents had died in a car accident, but she hadn't told me that it was because they were on their way to her ballet performance that she begged she could go to.
She talked about how she was an orphan and that now she had made Eun-hyuk an orphan too. I had tried to comfort her, telling her that it wasn't her fault and stupid shit like that happens. I tried, but she didn't believe me. Maybe that was the right time to say that I was one too, but I didn't want to talk about my problems when she had just opened up to me.
My feet stopped walking when I came to the fourteenth floor. The door was open, but the thing that made me stop was the smear of blood that was on it. With slow steps, I began to make my way to it. Did someone get hurt here? I haven't heard anything unusual when I was home.
Carefully poking my head out the doorway I try to see if someone was there.
There was only silence which made things worse. The bad feeling in my stomach returned the moment I stepped a foot into the hallway. Everything seemed normal until I almost slipped on something. Lifting my foot from the ground I saw more blood. I looked up and saw that it was a trail.
Someone who was hurt must have come through here. I bite my lip debating whether to just turn around and get the guard, but then the thought of him being exhausted came back. Taking just a look never hurts someone. If someone is hurt I just call someone for help. Walking beside the blood trail I began to follow it.
The smell of metallic became stronger the more blood I found on the floor. I halted in my tracks when my ears began to ring again. It wasn't like the last time. This time it hurts my ears making me cover them with my hands thinking that they will begin to bleed. It lasted a few seconds before it died down.
Slowly I moved my hands from my hands afraid I would see blood, but there was nothing on them.
"What the hell?" I mutter out taking deep breaths.
My body spun around when I heard a sound from behind me. It sounded like someone was in pain, letting out a low groan.
"Hello? Do you need help?" I was about to make my way back from where the sound came from when someone stepped from behind the corner I just come from.
It was a girl, that was for sure, but the rest of her body was kinda hiding in the shadows because the light above her was broken.
"Hey, are you okay?"
A loud squeal came from her before I heard her voice.
"I'm so hungry." To my surprise, it sounded like the girl I bumped into today.
"Uhm, I don't have anything with me?" I said confused.
I didn't know if the blood was coming from her because she was so hidden in the dark, but when my eyes traveled down her hands I saw something dripping from her hands.
"So hungry."
She took a step forward, making me take a step back not trusting the situation at all.
My eyes widened when I saw her completely now. Her face was covered in blood around her mouth and nose. The blood was definitely coming from her. My body completely tensed up when I saw her hands. They were completely covered in a grey tint that was underneath the blood together with some black vines going up her arm.
I even think that her nails seemed longer than normal humans.
"I'm hungry."
I took a few steps back when her croaky voice came out.
"J...just stay there." I managed to get out my lips.
The girl let out a groan taking more steps forward. How can this be real? She doesn't look human at all. Is she pranking me because of earlier?
"I....I'm sorry I called you a bitch!" I yelled out taking faster steps backward.
My words didn't seem to go through her. My feet stepped on something crunchy, making me stop walking scared I stepped on something she had killed. My body froze completely when she began to charge at me with a loud chilling yell.
I braced myself for what she would do to me when there was the sound of a door opening beside me, a second later someone grabbed my arm pulling me away just seconds before the girl could get to me.
