SHORT TRIPS; UNBOUNDNOVEMBER 21/23: TWILIGHT
Tumblr media
"What about me?" "If there was something I could do about that, I would. I guess we're both just going to have to be brave."
It feels like it’s raining. Although the clouds hang in the way of the sun, there is still an afternoon afterglow… and yet despite the months still creeping through the midst of summer, the wind is still very cold today in the city of Freedom. There is an almost unanimous silence save for the howling and the whipping of the wind… the beating of the flags that flow through the breeze. The water of the fountain is still, and the lights are low. The world almost looks distinctly colorless… absent of the cool aftertaste that’d follow a pleasant warmth. The world feels more absent today.
The People of Mondstadt did not care much for Lady Eula Lawrence. Her bloodline was responsible for many, if not most of, the issues that plagued Mondstadt so fiercely into its present. To this very day, The Knights of Favonius were working hard to clean up the mess of those who had come before. Of those Knights was Lady Lawrence, who was fiercely dedicated in her pursuit of redemption… and yet she dealt every day with the harsh whispers of those who could not separate the past from the present… those who did not understand the ever-changing nature of the human soul and its relationship to time.
They were wrong about her. That is the truth of the matter. Eula was a beautiful soul, a kind and dedicated one. She looked out for those in need and did what she could to help the innocent. Considered by many of her allies to be a responsible friend and an excellent warrior, she was supported unconditionally by those under her command. Eula was the best of parts of Humanity condensed into one singular form… not bound by convention… solving her problems in a unique way and handling the world one day at a time. The people of Mondstadt were simply wrong about Eula Lawrence.
When the chips were down, The city of Mondstadt was threatened… when the whole of creation was threatened… Eula stepped forward, to act as a shield for her people and her home. She could’ve turned away, could’ve stood on the sidelines… but it was her nature and her responsibility to put her home first. There was no love lost between her and Mondstadt, but the fact of the matter was that there were people there who were counting on her, and she had to return. No one could fault her for that. Even if they’d fail, at least they’d fail together… and while they were together, nothing could dismay the Knights and their cause.
It feels like it’s raining.
It’s been a week since the threat of Celestia was quelled, and the people of Teyvat were freed from the confines of an oppressive destiny. The road there was not without sacrifice, however… and of those who stood and fought, not all came out intact. Among those who had fought and been claimed by the battle… was Lady Eula Lawrence. She died as she lived: Protecting those who meant the most to her. Her friends— the family she’d made after cutting ties with the clan that she’d disgraced. In the knights, she’d found new meaning and new purpose… or at least, the start of that new purpose, and she was happy. However, that would not stop her fellow Knights from mourning her loss.
The Funeral service ended an hour ago, and Outrider Amber stood near the entrance of the Favonious Headquarters, the wind biting at her skin. She wonders why it feels like it’s raining despite the absence of thunderclouds or rain. Perhaps Barbatos is allowing them to have the feeling and the sensations without the fuss. Amber is allowed to live in denial for just a bit longer, wiping away tears with her thumb as she shudders out an exhale. Despite the fact that the people of Mondstadt had cared very little about Eula, her last act of life had opened eyes and touched hearts. Everyone had been at her funeral… and she’d just escaped the fond wishes and condolences… but The Outrider’s mind was scattered.
The Captain of The Cavalry Guard and The Grandmaster had noted how distracted she’d looked… chalking it up to grief and attempting to comfort the Outrider over the loss of her friend. Although Amber had tried to explain with sincere genuineness that she was simply looking for someone in the crowd. She didn’t see him in the service, she didn’t see him in the wake, and even as the people exited the church and returned to their homes… she didn’t see him. She eventually, almost dejectedly, sat on the steps leading up to The Favonious Headquarters. A sigh escaped her, and her fingers grazed at a wooden box carefully. He was looking for The Spindrift’s companion, as Lady Lawrence had left one more thing for the one her heart belonged to. Amber was almost ready to give up until her eyes saw the crowd thinning… and there, walking toward the gate out of the city…
She was at first taken aback by the fact that she had failed to notice a man not wearing any black, wearing an outfit he’d wear as if it were any other day of the week. A green cargo jacket over a black T-shirt, fingerless cotton gloves, dark denim blue jeans, and high-top sneakers… with a messenger bag strapped across his chest. He had a sun-kissed complexion dotted with many freckles and hair that was swept into an almost bed-razzled look. The Outrider didn’t even hesitate to sprint toward him… to try and catch him before he vanished.
“Doctor!! Doctor—!!”
She stopped at his side, expecting him to turn away… but when he turned to face her, Amber was again taken aback by The Doctor’s complexion. The Doctor was a very bright individual, usually. With Eula, he was fiery and charismatic… but also on occasion, he was icy and powerful. He clearly wasn’t of this world, and he made no attempt to hide that. She was just taken aback by how neutral his expression was. Numbness, and with eyes that sagged very low. He looked no older than twenty-three, usually. Right now, however, those eyes looked ever so ancient… as if they’d walked circles around the universe thousands of times over. Perhaps this is just genuinely what the man looked like when he was distraught, though…
“I… didn’t see you at the service.” She started, trying to get any reaction out of him, any sort of sign that he was feeling some type of emotion. He looked like he was on autopilot, just blankly staring at her while he contemplated thousands of thoughts all in the span of a couple of microseconds. She wasn’t sure if she should really force him to stay, as he clearly was just stopping by out of respect for Eula. They had such an incredibly deep connection. In the few months before the catastrophe that recalled Eula home, The Doctor had appeared in Eula’s life almost like a sort of fairytale prince. He dropped from the sky, whisking her off into planets and skies unknown… showing her all sorts of things that defied the laws of logic and imagination. Amber knew, from the way that Eula looked at him…
It was love. In its purest form.
The Doctor needed Eula to find himself in a brave new universe, and Eula needed The Doctor to give her a home where she could truly detach from what defined her on Teyvat. The Doctor had a light in his eyes that ignited a fire within Eula’s heart. They were like sunshine, an unstoppable duo. Eula was gone though, and The Doctor was all alone, now. She saw the way that realization had cemented itself in his mind. She began to understand why The Doctor looked so numb, right now… simply by thinking it through, she saw a man who wanted to lock himself away from the world and cry because the world had become so much colder without his other half. Amber knew now that she should not keep him for long.
“She… wanted you to have this.” Amber found the words sticking in her throat, coming out through chokes. Completing this final request for Eula seemed to cement the realization in her mind that her friend was truly gone. “She—” Amber struggled to recall the details of what Eula had explained to her, about why she’d left The Doctor to return home. She was very vague, as always… but she seemed to allude to… the idea that… she had had no choice. “She knew this was very hard for you, Doctor.”
She saw his face twinge, and that was confirmation enough for her to know that he was not soulless, or on autopilot… but that he was bottling everything up to unleash in a space that was unrestricted and unjudging. She shouldn’t keep him, but she also knew that once he left… she wouldn’t see him again, and the idea of him having no one simply left her a little heartbroken. Amber choked on more words, but she forced them out simply because she knew he needed to hear it.
“She loved you very much.”
She saw another twinge in the face muscle. He acknowledged that but kept his mouth as tightly shut as he could for fear of breaking under the pressure of his own emotions. Hesitantly, he took the wooden box and wordlessly turned away from Amber. She had so much she wanted to say and yet she knew he probably already knew. She wanted to tell him that it wasn’t his fault, but he probably already knew that. She wanted to ask him if he was going to be okay but was sure he wouldn’t answer her. She looked for any indication that the man was going to be able to walk back from the edge and was scared to let him go because of it. Although her feet remained planted very firmly at the border of the gate… she watched that man walk toward the Police Box at the end of the bridge, entering it wordlessly.
The sounds of its engines echoed outward as The Box’s lantern began to flash… and the wind cleared so that it could fade away from reality. So many tears were slipping out, now. Amber’s hands remained clenched firmly toward her chest as she watched for a long moment as if she was waiting for something. All she could do was give a prayer to the wind that the man would be safe upon his travels, and that the spirit of freedom would follow him wherever he went. There was a light in his eyes that seemed to spread like an infectious warmth across the universe… The Outrider would be very upset if it went out… as would a great many others, as well.
Tumblr media
The TARDIS was quiet. Its hum echoed out like the ticking of a clock in an empty room. Its lights were dimmer, the console quieter. The Wooden box was placed against one of the panels of the console as his jacket rested against the seat nearest to the console. The Doctor reached to flick for switches as the rotor in the center of the room sunk up and down. He wasn’t sure where he was going… but he was just going somewhere. His mind was buzzing with a silence that he couldn’t really describe. It was strange to be alone with his thoughts, especially when they weren’t uttering a single word. A heavy exhale left his chest through his nose as his eyes caught the box when it came into his peripheral.
He almost hesitated to reach for it, because he knew that looking beneath the hinges would cement the reality he was looking to ignore. As soon as he admitted to himself that he wanted to ignore it, he knew that he needed to face it. His hands found the box and he very slowly opened it. Neutral expressions immediately faltered beneath the weight of what the box held. Softened gaze began to tear up as brows furrowed together and a shaky hand reached in for one of the first items. His thumb traced over the glass texture of an extinguished vision. Eula carried it with her at all times… how could he not recognize it? His head tilted softly. It wasn’t indifferent to holding someone’s heart in your hands…
He slid the vision into his pocket, reaching back into the box to pull out the crest of her family. The Doctor had learned much about his human companion to learn about the crest of the Lawrence family, and how much weight it had carried. The fact that she left it for him seemed like a solemn admission that she had wished for more from him. His face softened again as he began to feel pain in his hearts over all the what-ifs that he’d missed. He wasn’t an idiot… he knew that what he’d had with Eula was more than intimate… but he began to feel pain in his chest over all the missed opportunities to tell her just how much she’d meant to him. Pressing the crest to his upper lip softly, he repressed more choked winces as he looked back into the box.
This next item nearly killed him. He almost hesitated to grab it. Inside the box was a Cecilia that had wilted deeply since she’d given it to him. He knew that he’d kept it close by on the TARDIS, but she must’ve found it and taken it away with her into battle. Now she wanted it to return to its rightful owner. The Doctor’s face had sunken into something so low and deep now that his head felt like it had a weight. When he touched the Cecilia flower, he had to immediately put the box down. It was sort of like touching something that had gone from warm to cold… the realization that there was no more life within an object was cemented by that transition.
The Doctor exhaled, shakily. Tears had begun streaming down his face as he looked toward the rotor. There was silence as he kept his eyes away from anything aside from The Cecilia because looking back at it reminded him of their last conversation. Heal yourself. The memories of every moment he’d ever cherished with The Lady Lawrence crept into his mind and seemed to make every passing second more and more painful… and the tears came down in an abundance that left him a bit blind from the blurry vision. He wiped away the tears with the base of his palm and slid the flower into the control panel of the TARDIS. With his hands empty, he just stared up at the TARDIS rotor and let the tears stream down until he could get a handle on himself. Sometimes he’d stop, thinking that his emotions had finally calmed, only for them to start again. So there was a long silence, where The Doctor stood in silence over the controls and felt his eyes darting across the console room before eventually, he felt himself restraining enough to at least sink back into numbness. He heaved another sigh before he moved to look at where the monitor was taking him. His fingers traced against the vision in his pocket for a moment as his thumb flicked through the monitor’s scans. He needed to just… get back on the road, again. His eyes caught Cecilia again and eventually he just… stared off, again…. Toward the wall. The room felt much emptier without her, and when the realization that Eula Lawrence was truly gone sunk in…
The Console room was deafeningly quiet now. Save for the sound of the engines and the distant sound of the hum. He exhaled, looking down at the controls. History was repeating itself. Of course, it was. It always did. For a moment, sorrow melts into a deeper resentment of himself. The Timelord rests one hand in his pocket whilst he flips various switches and twists various dials before the second hand is deposited into his opposite pocket, and he's left just staring.
Imagine having the power to change whole moments of history. To alter the very fabric of reality. Imagine having the power to move heaven and earth for ordinary people... but never being able to use that power to save the people who really matter the most to you. Imagine being left with a gaping hole in your chest every time you re-enter this console room by yourself, knowing the home someone else had made for themselves was within yours... and realizing that life has just gone back to the bitterness of what it had been before.
The last time he was alone, he was wearing someone else's face. He had made connections, gained new titles, and lost just as much. He'd endured pain, suffering, and heartache. He'd seen the top of the mountain, breathed the clean air of victory, and lived out a wild dream of passion and joy.
Only for it to be back to how it was when he was at the bottom of the barrel. He'd done so much to come to peace with what had happened, with where he'd gone and what he'd done. He'd regained his title, come to terms with his fate, and he'd even conquered destiny itself. Or at least, he thought he had. Never had he been so humbled before, and the price of his arrogance was this.
The loneliness.
This is what it feels like to be The Doctor. Not the joy or the happiness of the never-ending thrill, but the crushing lonely bitter sadness that comes afterward. The sound of silence in a place people once called their home ringing through your ears. The pain of knowing that you had the power to save the people you cared about, but choosing to do your duty as the last of your kind instead. To maintain the web of time. Humbled again by the beast you'd thought you'd conquered: time. This is what it means to be The Last of The Timelords. Everlasting loneliness throughout all of time and space.
All he can do is endure. It's all he has left.
He exhales, heavily.
"Goodbye, Spindrift." He remarks as he leaves another chapter of his life behind.
There'll never be another like you.

─「エウルア」─  eyes of the people of mondstadt had never been friendly ever since eula could remember. brought up in strict environment, her upbringing as an aristocrat was never easy and the girl recalled having cried herself to sleep many a time when she was growing up. the bruises and wounds were all over her hands and legs, ankles twisted and strained from vigorous training she was put through.
do not let anyone see your tears or weakness.
if her parents found her crying, they'd reprimand her. the girl was never allowed to cry in front of anyone, not even the ones who raised her. so she cried alone, crying herself to sleep until the tears were no more. older, stronger, but with the same fragile heart she kept locked within. you're alone in this world. no one is on your side.
dreams for eula were never pleasant. whether it was a dream of the past, or a dream of the present. they were never really pleasant. even when she tried to keep herself away, even when she was proving herself different, her family name was like a shadow that refused to let go of her back. it clawed at her and left marks, scars.
you can never escape your own name.                 go away, tyrant ! no one wants you here !                 you should know better than to show your face in the city.
" i don't want to go back. " not yet.
the wetness from her shut eyes seemed to pull the knight captain out of the small napping time she had on the seating. a few blinks followed for her to clear out her thoughts and only then she realized the droplets that cascaded down her face. ah, did she cry in her sleep ? how childish. dual-colored hues blinked a few more times, trying to chase away those tears and bringing the back of her hand to wipe them. mm ? a blanket ?
the soft blanket had been covering her form. she didn't remember bringing one —
when she lifted her head up, eula saw the warm strands of brown bobbing not too far away. what was he doing ? fiddling with something at the console ? or was he adjusting something on his beloved guitar ? she could hear the sound of him humming a tune to himself. when he moved, she was granted the sight of his side profile as he busied himself with whatever he was doing. she wasn't really paying attention.
Tumblr media
but she looked at him from where she was, feeling the tears slowly drying up now that she was more awake. she knew it was a dream when she found herself thinking of the past, or the walls of mondstadt as a whole. and ... she watched him go about with what he was focusing on, listening to the way he muttered something under his breath and moving about. a quiet stare.
he didn't press for her to return. when she said she didn't want to, he simply accepted it as is. and --- as she observed him quietly, a sense of warmth and serenity filled her. it was ... peaceful, the days she spent with him. well, as peaceful as the adventure through time and space could be. dangers were something normal in her everyday life even prior to meeting him, so ... it was relatively peaceful.
or was peaceful the word for it ? perhaps ... what she meant was ... —
Tumblr media
" what are you fiddling with, this time ? " her voice was heard, and she straightened herself up from the seat, carefully folding the blanket and placing it down before walking over to him. her head tilted to the side, a hint of curiosity sparked in those dual-colored orbs. it seemed that the former aristocrat had completely forgotten about the dream that caused her to be in tears just a moment prior.
yeah, peaceful wasn't exactly the word. their days were nothing but peaceful. it's chaotic, full of banters, them trying to get back at each other for doing something to piss the other off, but she did have his back and he had hers. it was still far, far from peaceful.
but she was happy. yes, that was the word. with him, she was content and happy.
                that's the first.

─「エウルア」─  what a peculiar individual.
the LAWRENCE HEIR remembered that was the first thing she thought of the man. the figure that crash-landed into her life in a way that she could never have imagined. he appeared at a point of her life where the thought about running away from the place she called home was prominent. she remembered looking at him like he was the strangest person she had ever met. and, perhaps, in the best way possible, he really was. and ... for someone who never thought the word home itself held any meaning, for she never belonged there at the place of her birth, eula had found a HOME in a form of a person.
he must've been insane, she thought. inviting a random stranger aboard. but the sights, the places, the worlds he had shown her paled in comparison to the LIGHT that radiated from his smile. how many times had that smile saved her ? how many times had the hand that tugged her along brought her out of the darker places her thoughts plunge her into ? the sunrise complimented him, she thought. the way his brown locks would reflect the warm light, the tenderness caressing his features, and the brightness in his eyes that melted away even the ice in her heart.
                what a peculiar individual.
" this is for you, eula ! happy windblume ... "
gloved digits toyed with the key in her hand, as her expression softened. this was where she wanted to be. this was where she belonged. a light laugh escaped her at this realization. that light in his eyes was so bright that she felt it was BLINDING, but eula found herself unable to tear her gaze away. she no longer felt alone, abandoned, like an outcast. he made her feel ... whole. he made her feel alive. she wanted to live. alongside him. with him. always. always.
her hand tucked into her uniform, the tip of gloved fingers graced over the smooth surface of something circular. the touch and the realization dawning on her made her cheeks burn, but it also made her SMILE. a real one. a content one.
" he's my better half. " my light. my home. my doctor.

𝐅𝐎𝐑 𝐘𝐎𝐔, 𝑆𝑃𝐼𝑁𝐷𝑅𝐼𝐹𝑇. | Eula's birthday.
Deep within a forest of snow-dusted pines lays a town so brightly lit and decorated, that it looks almost like a frosting-covered gingerbread town. Although the occasional beam of wood or brick patch destroys the illusion immediately, as does the 18th-century Victorian-dressed towns folk who walk around. The aesthetic flashbang present is almost a cross between a Christmas picture book and a Christmas carol. A great big tree spreads its light and warmth across the snow-covered winter wonderland, as the church bells ring amidst the afternoon glow of the sun. Meanwhile, a loud whooshing and groaning echo out near the foot of the Christmas tree. A familiar BLUE BOX with faded yellow windows and faint glowing signage lays comfortably within the snow, quickly beginning to get dusted with the powder falling from the sky.
The doors are thrown open quickly, The Doctor popping his scruffy head out of the box with bright anticipation that quickly flashes into amused bewilderment. "Hohohahh!!" A scruffy little laugh echoes from the throat before he steps out into the open street. "Smell that air! The faintest smell of cocoa? Oh, this is too much!" He giggles, wearing a black suit jacket over a plain t-shirt, light blue jeans, and his nicest sneakers helping to accentuate the more formal style of outfit he's got. He's dressed for some kind of late-night date, perhaps. Smartened up, as it were. He's been planning this. Turning toward the police box door, he reaches inside— locking his hand around the passenger he brought with her, pulling her from the Police Box to stand out in the wonderland with him.
"Christmas! Well—" He stops himself, "A planet that is Christmas-themed. Let's not ask if they know what that is, though." He mumbles the second part of his sentence quietly before washing away a face of doubt with one of bright intrigue. "I know, I know— October 25th, so maybe we should've done something spooky-themed, but! I figured!" He gestures out to the town with that bright smile and excited eyes. "Why not celebrate my two favorite holidays at once? Perks of being a time traveler." He brushes at his nose, insinuating that Time Travelers can celebrate multiple holidays at once, which isn't inaccurate.
"So!! What does the birthday girl want to do first, eh?" He almost hopped up and down in place, balancing on the balls of his feet as his hand wrapped tightly around hers. "I'm ready for your day, Miss Lawrence!"

kissing your lover in a moment of sheer joy. [Eula & Looney]

Tumblr media
─「エウルア」─  there's always a chance for heartbreak and pain when you entrusted your heart to someone.
that was why the LAWRENCE HEIR could feel her chest tightening after the windblume flower was presented to him. her eyes were gazing at him in anticipation, and a tinge of fear. fear that she had burdened him with something he didn't need. fear of that rejection she knew could be coming. fear that she would lose the place she belonged to, or felt that she belonged to.
to her who had no place she could call HOME, he became both the light and a place to belong, all in one.
somehow, it was like fate decided to smile upon her again. and ... she remembered, a few years back, at the steps of the mondstadt city not too far from where they were now — was a figure who she couldn't remember the face. he was worse for wear, despite trying to chalk it as the winter and the snow. he ... who she didn't even remember a name —
— told her that her next few years would be the best ones of her life.
she remembered it, that moment, the same time as when the DOCTOR tucked her cecilia onto his breast pocket for safe keeping, then presenting her with a single key. dual-colored hues burned the sight of his bright smile illuminated by the SUN and the small hint of shadow from the anemo archon statue. the background blurred behind him, and the only thing that was clear was him. his smile, his gift, the key to his home, to his hearts.
Tumblr media
it was like the time aligned itself, the past, the present, and the future. in this single moment, reality was blurring and all she saw was the man who held her very future in his grasp. she had little to nothing to hold dear with her past, and he had become both her present and future. him.
it echoed, softly, at the back of her mind, what she spoke to her BEST FRIEND about him. how she never felt like she had a home before, and how he made it so that living became easier. that was the effect he had on others he had met. she wasn't sure if he realized it, either. but he was a warm light, like the sun, and he was soothing like the wind of freedom.
even more than the city of freedom she had born in, HE was a home away from home.
the key was tucked dearly to her chest, in her grasp, and even the KNIGHT CAPTAIN didn't think she was the type to get emotional over something like this. but that was exactly what this meant, wasn't it ? the tears that tinged her gaze, and she looked up at him, burning the image of him into her mind. there was a small moment of hesitation — and the DISTANCE between them was gone.
it was a single step, before her arms slowly wrapped themselves around his neck. the movement was tender, natural, and her LIPS sealed his own in a soft, soft kiss. like a touch of butterfly's wings, like a secret, like vow. she could hear her own heart ringing in her mind, and it resonated with the TWO RHYTHMS of both his hearts that was pressed close to her chest.
that's the first time she really felt the rising warmth in her chest, a kind of feeling that sparked from deep within, before slowly spreading throughout her very frame. the feeling of genuine, unaltered happiness. even the thought or worry of someone witnessing them, bodies pressed close, and lips connected in front of the plaza and the anemo archon statue witnessing this, were wiped from her thoughts. it didn't matter — for all she could think of now was him.
her breathing were uneven when she leaned back, and she gazed at him through the curtain of tears tinging those dual-colored hues. there was silence between them, for a split second longer. her cheeks were tinted dark pink, while his was bright red. she had lost the ability to process the words, not knowing what to say when she kept remembering how soft his lips were, how his breath tickled her cheek, or how sweet the kiss itself was against her mouth.
the lawrence heir couldn't remember exactly what happened after that, probably something silly. he was stumbling over his words, and did something that earned a tender, quiet laugh from her. the sound of her HEART was still ringing in her ears, yet her line of vision burned the visage of him into her mind.
for she knew for sure, no matter how long or no matter what happened, she would always remember this moment. his smile, his laughter, his light, his warmth, HIM.
all of him.

It was first made for Eula's birthday (I will spare Hina the @ this time) but then I switched it around and made it the official series 1 intro. I like the colors. And I like using the early 2005 Gold theme. Yeah, it's just the 2005 intro recolored. Sue me. I like it. AND JUST IN TIME FOR THE REGENERATION SCENE.

@terestris sent in: “  i don’t think there’s a person in the world who compares to you.  ” // for the looney doctor uwu | flirty memes | ACCEPTING
HE HADN'T OPENED A TEAR IN THE UNIVERSE IN A MINUTE. He exhaled softly as he moved to set up various machinery that linked to the TARDIS console room. They had a big open gymnasium to operate with, he'd cleared one out. Now he was just setting everything up. Wiring things into the console- he was bustling around like the little puppy he used to be. Various generators and emitters were put into place. Gaia was in the center of the room- he looked back up, just to make sure-- looking at his friend. He smiled at her, but there was something behind those eyes that indicated that... well... this might be it. They've been together for a long while, now- and so... it was hard for him to accept what was coming-- even when she said that amidst their moment of silence.
He smirked, moving toward her and grabbing her hand like an energetic soul that wasn't going to die down soon. "And so are you! We're all so unique! It's a majestic experience, learning about all those other people, and their stories! My story! Your story! We're one of a kind~" He winked at her before he moved her toward the center of the room. "I'm about to use The Tardis to punch through the fabric of reality! It's going to open up a connection to the multiverse! You need to focus on your own- the scent of home, the scent of life! Your home! Yours!" He pointed toward the rift about to open and made her look.
"You may go into a trance state, but just focus on thinking about home! The Tardis is going to feed you some energy- supercharge ya! All you need to do is find that link to home-!!" He backed up beating his chest like a monkey, "Badaboomba!" He moved to run into The Police Box, with had wires trailing out, connecting to different machinery and engines. He moved to start flicking different switches and levers- before yanking down on The TARDIS' engine release, which funneled power into the machinery... and GAIA SAW as a MAJESTIC tear in the fabric of SPACE and TIME opened up before her, it was indescribable in its beauty.
THE DOCTOR knew better than to stare too, especially when he had forces on his trail that he had to delay for Gaia. He inhaled deeply- time slowing for him as he took just a few microseconds to think about ETERNITY. THIS WAS IT. He always had this prick, in the back of his head, whenever he could feel the final moments of his life coming up when the times were getting desperate when the measures were stretched thin. He felt that prick now... as he walked toward the entrance to the gymnasium, pulling it open and slamming it shut behind him. With The Sonic Screwdriver- he double-locked the doors and rested the screwdriver in his pocket.
FEAR washed over his body right now, fear that melted into sudden steel. It's okay to be scared he told himself. Death is scary. He stood at the doors, he could feel it- as he always had felt before... whenever he'd run into this specter before- the air was growing colder. Death was coming, and it was time to face it head-on. He exhaled softly. He wondered if this was how Eula felt before she marched into battle... He shut his eyes for a moment and his fists tightened into balls as he let out another long exhale. He knew what this was all for. Just gotta save one person. Just one more person. That's what he echoed out into his mind. Putting everything on the line so that Gaia can get home. That's what's important right now.
Still wish someone was there to hold his hand. He pushed the doors to the outside open as he walked out, hands in his jacket pockets as he stood before an approaching Caspian. The Inner doors were locked, and with a quick tap of The Sonic Screwdriver... so were the outer doors. He grinned at Caspian, a specter who'd chased them from Skaro to beyond... He almost had a sort of fondness for the chase. He shook his head, knowing a darker purpose was near. He cried out, "Hello Caspian~! Lovely to see you--! Knew those Daleks wouldn't nip ya in the bud, pal!" He gave Caspian a celebratory snap and a point before he rested his hand on his side.
"Is your dear old master following close behind~?"

LOONEY DOCTOR & GAIA HEADCANONS | FOUR HEADCANONS MEME // I'm not limiting myself to four.
As I mention a lot, Gaia is Looney's LAST companion before he regenerates into The Pink Doctor. By the time he meets Gaia for the first time, his first Companion- Eula, had already died and he'd lost the few companions he had had between Eula and Gaia (I'm still plotting a few of his relationships out, but he gets a lot of the tragic ends for his relationships.) He's at the end of his ropes by the time Gaia gets there. Upset over his lack of ability to keep those friends safe.
It's a challenge, to travel with Gaia. A companion that will have to go, eventually- and he hates that. He hates how little time he gets to spend with her. It's like this crushing wave of insomnia that he can't get rid of. Especially at this point in his run, he's trying to figure out how to keep going- so he's starting to have this physical weight on his shoulders. He does loosen up around her, eventually.
Around Gaia, Looney starts to eat more healthier and even tries more fruits and vegetables via the garden she grows. Eventually, his complexion with Gaia does get more lifeful and fun, and he even mixes some green into his color pallet.
He HATES... HATES how many flower petals she leaves inside the TARDIS- it is SOOO hard to clean up, and he never has any way to try and clean them up. He always feels so bad throwing them into a fire disposal system- so he just dumps them back in her garden. When they first met, he had to throw her in a bathtub several times from how messy she was.
At first, the Tardis couldn't calculate what type of clothes Gaia might want to wear, because she wasn't a recognized species within the TARDIS databanks. So the Doctor programmed a lot of what was put inside the wardrobe manually. Which is how she's able to have the outfits or clothing types that she'd have had at home. Her descriptions helped him figure out what to program.

VOLUME WARNING???
I finally caved and tried to make an intro for The Looney Doctor. I referenced the Big Finish audio that initially re-awoke my Doctor Who Brainrot. I'm really unhappy with The Name Credits because, in the original 2009 intro, the text is 3D. That's... Really hard to emulate in Davinci Resolve.
Jacob Dudman was picked just for laughs. Ifyk Dudman yk Dudamn Stephanie Southerland is a reference to @gunnhildred's Jean.
I did make a variant for Eula, but Hina got all the attention last time with Fear of The Dark. Does this mean Looney fics are coming? I'm talking Phoe into it. The Looney Doctor has a lot of early 90s SyFy vibes. Stuff that mix the Pertwee era with the Eccleston/Tennant era. That 2008 Murray Gold theme goes HARD.
One day I'll make a better version when I can actually figure out how to use DAVINCI Resolve without getting a headache over how clunky it is.

what are looney's thoughts on humanity as a whole? any strong feelings?
Tumblr media
"Humanity!?" He shoots up, a loud RING of his guitar echoing throughout the entire console room as he walks around his junk-filled, brightly glowing, alien-like console room. He starts strumming out something, any song- he thinks it's by Bowie-- speaking of Bowie! "Imagine a whole planet filled with Artists, Musicians, Writers, Engineers, and scientists!! Poets!! Actors!! Presidents!! Explorers!!" He calls out, resting his foot on the console, standing on his other as he does a quick riff from any generic metal song he's practicing the guitar riff to. "Except I don't have to imagine it, I see it every day in Humanity." He moves to explain his reasoning. He rests against the console, excitedly punching a switch so that the TARDIS rockets off into an unknown time- laughing the whole time.
"All Humanity's done since its first step onto land is TO START growing. They have this inherent need to keep progressing, further and further and further-- until there's nothing left to see!" He shoots his arms outward and spins excitedly through the TARDIS, almost falling forward if not for catching himself on the console and twisting a diode forward. "Explorers like Adelaide Brook! Mark Whatney! James T Kirk and Jean Luc Picard!! Pioneers in space travel and Diplomatic relation--!!" The Tardis ROARS excitedly, The Doctor opened up the engines as he increases power to everything- the TARDIS keeping up with his excitement as he runs around the console excitedly.
"Humanity's greatest protectors- Jean Gunhildred, Sarah Jane Smith! Jo Grant! Eula Lawrence!" He does a fake salute, "And let's not forget Brigadier Sir Alistar Gordon Lethbridge-Stewart!" He salutes an old friend- even if he can't get around the whole military thing that he knows his friend has a strong love for. "When they're out exploring the universe, they leave their finest behind to protect the planet! And boy how those protectors shine among the rest!" He moves to bring the monitor in front of him softly, smiling brightly as he flicks an assortment of switches and knobs.
"You will do everything you can do to survive, you humans- you'll fight, fly, soar, and glide across the stars stretching positive influence across every race you touch." He dials specific coordinates into the TARDIS console, glowing brightly the entire time. "Sure- you have your low points- war, pollution, you get territorial sometimes but--" He snaps and points towards the console, "But through it all, you learn from your mistakes! And sure, things might look grim for humanity when the worst comes..." He rests along the console,
"But as long as there's someone to carry that torch, you'll always follow behind- and Humanity has never dropped that torch- their spirit is just that resilient!" He grins brightly... looking out and spreading his arms wide.
"Humanity..? They look like giants to me!!!"

+ Looney, is there something that you regret or that you've wished to have done differently?
Tumblr media
+ 𝐓𝐑𝐔𝐓𝐇𝐅𝐔𝐋 𝐀𝐍𝐎𝐍𝐒 | Accepting
"Strong word." He replied immediately, "Regret." He absent-mindedly flicked at various switches across the console, releasing a handbrake that engaged the TARDIS's take-off protocols. He looked off for a moment, before softly sighing. "You're looking for oil. I know. Things you can use to beat me down, right?" He moved to sigh. "Yeah. There are things I wish could've gone differently." He looks down at the console. "I wish I hadn't gotten Eula killed... I wish Jean could've stayed... I wish I didn't have to prepare for the reality that... I might not get to keep traveling with Gaia all day." He exhales. His hands rest against the console and his eyes find a specific part to stare at.
"I wish none of The Daleks had survived The War. I wish the War had never happened." He leaned his head back, "I wish I wasn't the last of my kind... or at the very least, The Master was around." He looked down at the ground, another faint, half-hearted chuckle leaving his lips. His face goes numb, "I wish I could find that world... in my dreams." He mumbles, "The world where no one ever died, and the villains were just naughty." He looks down at the console and flicks some switches absent-mindedly.
"A world where people never die, and promises are never broken." He twisted a couple of switches before inhaling, "But there isn't a world like that... at least— I haven't found it." His hand rests on the take-off lever, "But I'll never stop looking for it. I'll make it if I have to." He suddenly thrusts his hand up, the TARDIS take-off lever swiping up as the rotors whooshed and engaged brightly— the ship rocketing off as The Doctor backs up, hands in his pockets.
"The trouble is... is that I can't move any of the stones that helped me find that world... Each and everyone is just as important. Even the ones that hurt to walk on, or the soft shells that you might crush with your foot." He feels pangs of guilt over all the people he's said goodbye to over the centuries. "The world I'm looking for isn't... accessible to everyone, so I have to work hard to make sure the one they've got stands up tall." He stands up straight and rests his hands in his pockets.
"I'm immortal, but I can't play god. I've gotta roll with the punches." He moves to steer the TARDIS with some controls, "So, now... I don't have any regrets... not any I can do anything about." He shakes his head, "I can do something about my regrets, that's the point. I have that power." He leans in, his eyes darkening for a moment. "The power of a Timelord. No one else but me has it." He maintains that cold and disconnected complexion, before standing up straight and crossing his arms.
"But that's not who I am.... My ghosts stay my ghosts."
