Προς κέντρα μη λάκτιζε, μη παίσας μογής **
— Aeschylus
**Do not kick against the pricks, you will hurt yourself.
The Eton Wall Game. The one big match takes place every year around St Andrew's Day, when Eton's Collegers (scholarship holders) and Oppidans (full-fee-paying pupils) go head to head. The game is played up against an 110-metre-long wall that was built in 1717, on a pitch just five metres wide. Both teams try to get the ball down to the other end of the pitch to score a goal, but this is no easy matter - the last one was scored in 1909 (or so my older brothers told me). Is this true, I wonder?

Eton College holds a cherished place in the annals of His Serene Highness the Count of Münnich and Reutern’s family history, with their connection dating back to its very foundation.
The illustrious Founder of Eton College, King Henry VI, is His Highness’s seventeenth great uncle. This noble lineage traces its roots through his half-brother, The Count’s seventeenth great-grandfather, Edmund Tudor, 1st Earl of Richmond. Notably, King Henry VI was also a great-grandson of His Serene Highness’s eighteenth great-grandfather, John of Gaunt, 1st Duke of Lancaster.
The family’s ties to Eton College have remained steadfast across generations. Many generations of The Count’s grandfathers and extended family members were privileged attendees of this institution. From those bygone days to the present, Eton College continues to hold a special place in the hearts of His Serene Highness’s family.

Robert Herbert came to Queensland as Bowen's secretary but emerged after the elections of April 1860 as leader of his government – effectively the Premier, though he called himself Colonial Secretary. The twenty-eight-year-old grandson of the Earl of Carnarvon, educated at Eton and Oxford, appointed his lover John Bramston to the Legislative Council.
