you know what I can’t stop thinking about?how the world lets some labels matter and others get ignored. holocaust survivors, everyone knows that brand right? iconic emotional powerful makes you stop and go damn but here’s the kicker palestinians? we’re survivors too. nakba survivors. oh you thought the nakba was just some event from 1948? no no no hayati, it’s still happening right now every single day so this is the term people need to start using when talking about palestinians: NAKBA SURVIVORS. not refugees, not some sad footnote in history and can we please stop even calling what happening in Gaza “ethnic cleansing”? like what are we doing here, rebranding atrocities to sound like a spring cleaning checklist? no it’s ethnic extermination. say it with me ex-ter-mi-na-tion. and yet somehow palestinians keep surviving. my family in gaza? 26 are still there, after losing too many. they wake up every day to a world that wants them gone and somehow they’re still trying to survive. but survival isn’t magic. it doesn’t just happen because they’re tough or brave or insert your inspirational buzzword of choice here. it happens because people like you give a damn and yes this is me asking you to really keep giving a damn. have you donated yet? incredible, thank you, love you forever. haven’t donated? this is your sign. thinking “but i already donated”? Please do it again. survival isn’t a one-time event. click the link and be part of the reason they’re still alive tomorrow.
if you can’t donate via GoFundMe or PayPal you can use Ko-fi instead. Please note that 110 sek is approximately 10 usd and 220 sek is around 20 usd.

okay im kinda stupid but I don't think selfshipping with Judge Claude fucking Frollo from Hunchback of Notre Dame, is a good idea
#did we forget about the scene where he compared romanis to ants and explained his motivation of exterminating them to phoebus or?#idk when the character is directly inspired by irl religious zealots that persecuted romani people and other ethnic groups#i would not go for it. like at all#its not even a mild part of his character. that is a VERY big part of his conflict and goals#his point as a character is to be a criticism of the catholic church and religious extremism#all of his actions in the film reflects this real ideology that effects real people#“i have bad taste <3”....he attempted gen0cide in the film. yeah that is bad taste#(talking about the film. i heard the book includes more dark subject matter but im referring to the movie here)#worth the block. sorry it just bothered me#[just me yapping]#[discourse talk]

Young Rhaenyra to Alicent: “Should you be traveling in such conditions?”
And yet, older Alicent to Rhaenyra: “[The Queen has requested that the child be brought to her, immediately.] Rhaenyra! You should be resting after your labors.”
I honestly WISH Rhaenyra was as horrible as y’all make her out to be. Alicent was the sole reason for the pain and destruction of her.
“There are times when I have been unkind but never untrue.” ✨✨✨✨✨🧐
Wouldn’t be surprised if most who are team green are team Israel too.
how the hell do you get from your first point to the second, especially when rhaenyra stans can often be found espousing blood supremacy talking points. look to your own garden first.
also, if this your clumsy way of asking whether i'm "team" israel, i'm not 🙄 and to bring up actual real-life genocide as a means to get brownie points in fandom wars is beyond the pale
#ask#anon#anti rhaenyra targaryen#anti targ stans#oh no this person doesn't like my fictional barbie it must mean they are cheering on the extermination of ethnic groups 🙄 as a treat 🙄#how do you live with such flawless logic? can you remember how to cross the street?#anti hotd fandom

Re: this.
Wait, am I reading this right? Did Alucard in the show tell Dracula to go after the people who killed Lisa?
Even if the context was "only go for those who did the deed, and leave everyone else alone," that's a change of characterization I didn't expect! In the games, I don't think Alucard would have pushed for that! (Then again, the only game with Alucard that I played was Symphony of the Night.)
Sadly no one clipped the scene, but there you go, from the first episode:
Dracula: One year. One year! It will take me one year to summon an army from the guts of Hell itself! Alucard: No. Dracula: What do you mean, no? That woman was the only reason on earth for me to tolerate human life! Alucard: Then find the one who did the deed. If you loose an army of the night on Wallachia, you cannot undo it, and many thousands of people just as innocent as her will suffer and die. Dracula: There are no innocents! Not anymore! Any one of them could have stood up and said, "No, we won't behave like animals anymore." Alucard: I won't let you do it. I grieve with you, but I won't let you commit genocide.
After this scene, Dracula attacks Alucard, and it's why he sports that infamous scar on his chest.
The rest of the dialogue is pretty good. It's just that one line said by Alucard that is... off. This is something I imagine Hector would think: kill the ones who actively caused Lady Lisa's death, but don't go beyond. Alucard in the games never expresses a desire for any kind of payback, even a "just" one, as he wants to honor Lisa's wish to leave all humans alone, and only wants her soul to rest in peace.
Then again, as I wrote in this post that I keep updating, Lisa's death and last words in the show are very, very different from SoTN. (spoiler: she addresses her husband, not her son)
But yeah. Alucard in the show is just completely off. I don't even know how to describe him, aside from him being a giant dick to Trevor.
#anti netflixvania#side note but i'm starting to get a little uncomfortable with how the show uses the world “genocide” to mean “extermination of mankind”#it's another piece of the weird treating of humans and vampires like coexisting ethnicities

one year of genocide later and israel has only expanded its reign of terror. make no mistake: their goal is to pillage, colonize, and destroy the levant so that they can rebuild it in their image. a year of outright ethnic cleansing while the world sits by and watches. this is not “war”, it is the intentional extermination of multiple populations, and it is not normal. people love to say “well there’s always conflict in the middle east” because they cannot fathom that arabs are human beings and that they are currently being subjected to inhumane atrocities. do not look away. do not let the spread of information slow. we are currently living through a genocide. what are you going to do for your fellow man?

Okay, I have to say this. (Even tho I do talk about activism sometimes here, but this is mainly an art and fandom blog after all)
I have liked posts about Israel and Palestine but refrained from reblogging or commenting because to be honest, I am outside of this issue and it's not my place to speak for the people in this (and it's still too early for me to form a strong opinion because I've only started following this three months ago). The best I can do for now is to educate myself and not believe everything I see on the mainstream news.
But seeing what happened, I just want to say that I am not defending this attack by Hamas and I don't support them, and I am definitely NOT defending settler colonialism and genocide. No matter if you are Israeli or Palestinian; Jewish, Muslim or Christian; I'm keeping you in my thoughts and I hope you all can stay safe in these times. That's all I'm going to say at this moment.
Edit: oh and also DON'T be a racist. If I catch you using I/P to project your antisemitism, islamophobia or anti-Arab racism then you are not affiliated with me.
(antisemites and Islamophobes DNI)
#alex speaks#honestly everything I see is so biased#its either pro-Israel's government or Hamas#last I remember I do have followers living in Israel#I dunno if I have Palestinian followers as well but thats not the point#its basic human decency to not want a particular ethnic#or cultural#or religious group to be exterminated#I am seeing so many people say the US should turn Gaza into a beach#and that they should push the people of Gaza#and Palestinians into the sea#what the actual FUCK is wrong with you#rant#politics tw#do not reblog#I'm sorry about the rant in the tags#but I have to say this#I've seen too much blatantly genocidal comments and I can't stand it

Haven't heard from family in days. I feel like it's time to accept they're gone. I know in my heart Palestine will, one day, be free, but it wasn't supposed to be like this.
We feared another Nakba, and it happened. 700,000 pushed out of their homes in 1948 to 1 million being forced to leave their homes in 2023.
We thought it couldn't get worse or more deadly than the Israeli invasion in 2014, and it happened. We lost 2,251 people in 50 days then. Now we're past 2,300 in one week.
What I heard most from my grandmother the first days it's that "this time is different". And I feel like a rock is crushing my heart in pieces because i've been hoping that speaking out, teaching people about the historical oppresion of Palestine would help but it's not helping. Nothing is changing.
I feel like I'm screaming into a void. There's some sympathy from people online, until I see content documenting Palestinian oppresion being flagged as 'hate speech' or check the comments of any updates on Gaza and it's: "blame it on hamas", "tell them to give up hamas", "the hamas asked for it". They're not even among civilians!!!!!
My heart feels full seeing the manifestations in favor of Palestine, then I see police forces breaking protests apart and remember that the people that can actually save Gaza don't care.
If there's nothing left to do but to watch the extermination of my people, then I'm going to beg for anyone reading this to please don't forget. Please.
Israel is hiding behind Judaism to commit genocide against Gaza. Netanyahu supported the Hamas militant group to prevent the establishment of the Palestine State, and now he's using them to justify his agenda of ethnic cleansing. He abandoned Israelis and left them to die because he cares more about seeing Gazans dead!
Every single person and institution supporting and financing Israel is complicit. I hope the deaths of every Palestinian haunts you for the rest of your lives and that you never find an ounce of forgiveness, for you do not deserve it.
Just as in the Iraq War, the US government is financing and cheering for the slaughter of millions of innocent Arab lives. The media is complicit by engaging in biased propaganda and other nuclear powers, such as the UK and Germany, are complicit too. You are fascists and war criminals and every drop of Palestinian blood is in your hands. I hope every single day, for the rest of your lives, you look in the mirror and see nothing but the blood you've helped spill.
This serves as yet another proof that not a single Western in a position of power, be it in the media or in government, sees Arabs as humans beings.
For decades, the US has comitted terrorism and crimes against humanity in the Middle East and has NEVER been held accountable. Over one million in Iraq; over 150,000 in Afghanistan; and now they'll turn Gaza into a graveyard. Punishing selected soldiers over the years does not erase the fact that the American military and its government validates their crimes during execution and are never punished for it.
Please never forget: Joe Biden is a genocidal terrorist, Rishi Sunak is a genocidal terrorist, the American Democrat Party and UK's Labour Party are led by genocidal terrorists, the European Union is led by genocidal terrorists, fuckass Walt Disney Company is led by genocidal terrorists; every celebrity that called for Palestinian death or stood by silently while ignoring our suffering is a genocidal terrorist.
May Allah protect the people in Palestine and grant the martyrs the highest level of Jannah. Wallah what keeps me here is knowing that the Akhirah is theirs. May Almighty Allah grant us imaan and Taqwa as high as the people of Gaza. Ameen.

did you guys know that the mother fucking UN's humanitarian and legal experts have been saying israel's occupation of palestine territories is and has always been illegal, as it violates the FUCKING GENEVA CONVENTION? did you know it was britain that 'gave' the land that wasn't theirs to give to found the state of israel as a tactic to get more jews to join the british army in their already-active war against the ottoman empire? did you know that just between 2008 and 2022 the idf killed almost SEVEN THOUSAND palestinians, as opposed to the 308 israelis by palestinians in the same time period? did you know that israel itself admits to 'forcefully evacuating' palestinians from their homes over the course of their annexation of the country? did you know the british army helped them? did you know that any palestinian who didn't want to have their house taken from them and given to american immigrants being shipped in to populate britain's pet project was killed on their spot? did you know that back in 2018 palestinians did nothing but MARCH in protest of their occupation and in response, the idf is CONFIRMED to have killed almost 400 of them, including FIFTY FIVE CHILDREN? did you know palestinians are not allowed to build anything on the land they have left? did you know they aren't ALLOWED TO LEAVE?? did you know over HALF of christian evangelicals support israel solely because the bible says israel has to exist in order to bring about the second coming? did you know that in 2021, over 88% of us congress were evangelical christians? did you know israel is confirmed to have knowingly bombed palestinian hospitals and the idf had been caught targeting journalists? did you know israel is committing another war crime at this very moment by dropping white phosphorus on gaza civilians? did you know the israeli press was just confirmed to have completely fabricated an account of palestinian war crime right after their own got caught on film? did you know the defense minister of israel openly called all palestinians 'animals' to justify the deaths of their civilians? did you know holocaust survivors are presently speaking out against the israeli state's ethnic cleansing of arabs?
why, in the united states, is criticizing a settler colony's active attempts at extermination labeled antisemitic because of the religion the settlers happen to practice, but rooting for the complete eradication of a muslim country that was already there and is barely still there not islamophobia?? why is religion being used as a shield to justify genocide?
when a sudden act of politically charged violence occurs, like the hamas attack a few days ago, i ask WHY? i ask WHY until i get as far back as i can. i read accounts written by all sides. i try to find out why this is happening in the first place. half of these facts have come from the israeli government itself. all of them are easily found and easily confirmed by reputable sources. a lot of them are caught on film. all of these facts lead me to know that the state of israel was created by britain in order to gain an advantage in an unrelated war. i know the state of israel has caused unimaginable harm to the country it's slowly eating, and has suffered just a fraction in return. i know religion justifies none of it.
palestinians deserve to live in their own country. palestinians deserve to not be forced to give their homes to americans. palestinians deserve to live, to leave, to stay, to wave their own fucking flag. they do not deserve to have another country plopped on top of them and then have their settlers ask 'don't WE have a right to exist?' as their own right to exist is being extinguished.
fuck the idf, fuck israel, fuck manifest destiny, fuck all settlers who think they deserve someone else's home enough to kick them out of it. literally, in israel's case. indigenous americans, indigenous canadians, chicanos, pacific islanders, filipinos, mestizos, we should all be standing with palestine, because we KNOW how colonial violence goes and what it looks like. solidarity between all colonised peoples. free palestine.

Nazis took their values from white America/Jim Crow.
Manifest Destiny is ethnic cleansing and extermination politics.
The list goes on.
White conservative America does not like history and experiences that refute the myth of white superiority and exposes cruel systemic white history.

Every time somebody confronts you on you're political views you never dispute them. You just say something to the tune of the person is being ridiculous, then redirect the conversation to one of the many shitty things the dems are doing. You're just trolling right? Like it's flame bait to get people worked up and you're just keeping up the facade? It really seems like that.
My position this entire time has been:
There is no greater crime than genocide. Nobody who is killed today in the genocide was doomed to die. America could choose today to cut off arms to Israel and withdraw its military support from the genocide. Every Palestinian who is exterminated could have been saved had the US changed course. I will not support a candidate fully dedicated to perpetuating genocide. Ethnic groups are not bargaining chips to be traded away for the safety of Americans.
I've made no indication that my views are up for debate. I've made no indication that I'm going to be convinced to vote for Harris if she commits to doing anything other than stopping the US-Israeli genocide. I haven't focused on anything else other than the genocide in over a year, especially not on this blog. Why am I obliged to fucking refute anything from people who think genocide is a small price to pay for the continuation of American liberalism?

israel is built on top of the mass graves of palestinians, of entire towns burned to the ground, their inhabitants systematically slaughtered. the occupying settlers regularly arm themselves and rampage through palestinian neighborhoods. they march in the street chanting death to all arabs. israeli snipers shoot children and elders in the head and laugh about it afterwards. they assassinate journalists and doctors, bomb hospitals and apartment buildings. they openly call for a war of extermination and refer to palestinians as animals. israelis who oppose apartheid are jailed and anti zionist jewish people in the diaspora are labeled as self hating jews. peaceful protesting like BDS is criminalized in europe and the us.
but there are those who will look at these atrocities and say their heart weeps for both sides. they cry over genocidal fascists and pretend that makes them enlightened. they accuse those who unilaterally oppose apartheid and ethnic cleansing of extremism. their cowardice and complicity is heinous. never trust someone who will weep for the murderer while the victim is still bleeding out.
#everyone wants to cry about the 'innocent civilian settlers'#no one wants to acknowledge how many of those settlers gleefully take part in pogroms against palestinians#the innocence of whiteness absolves all crimes in their eyes#free palestine

"Israel expects support from western capitals because they have nearly as much to fear from a verdict against Israel as Israel itself. They have staunchly backed the killing spree, with the US and UK, in particular, sending weapons that are being used against the people of Gaza, making both potentially complicit.
According to a cable from the Israeli foreign ministry, leaked to the Axios website, Israel hopes that, given the difficulties of making a legal case in defence of its actions, diplomatic and political pressure on the court’s justices will win the day instead. ... Israel’s 'strategic goal' at the court, according to the leaked cable, is to dissuade the judges from making a determination that it is committing genocide. But more pressing is Israel’s need to prevent the Hague court from ordering an interim halt to the attack. ... The purpose of South Africa’s case is not to arbitrate what happens once Israel has annihilated the Palestinians of Gaza, as far too many observers appear to imagine. It is to stop Israel from annihilating the people of Gaza before it is too late. Based on strange logic, Israel’s supporters imply that the genocide charge is unwarranted because the real aim is not to exterminate the Palestinians of Gaza but to induce them to flee. ... The International Court of Justice must not adopt a wait-and-see approach, pondering whether Israel’s bombing campaign and siege lead to extermination or 'only' ethnic cleansing. That would strip international humanitarian law of all relevance.
If Israel and its western allies fail to bludgeon the court into submission, and South Africa’s case is accepted, it will not only be Israel in legal difficulties.
A genocide ruling from the court will impose obligations on other states: both to refuse to assist in Israel’s genocide, such as by providing arms and diplomatic cover, and to sanction Israel should it fail to comply.
An interim order halting Israel’s attack will serve as a line in the sand. Once made, any state that fails to act on the injunction risks becoming complicit in genocide.
That will put the West in a serious legal bind. After all, it has not just been turning a blind eye to the genocide in Gaza; it has been actively cheering it on and colluding in it. ... The truth is that a genocide ruling by the court will open up a can of worms for the West, and its readiness to accept that the provisions of international law apply to it too."

POV: You're playing a progressive game.
Dude, you wanna play "Mission Impossible: Israel Edition"?
Yeah, sure.
It's 1947 and the UN the land of Israel to a Jewish state and an Arab state. As a Jew, your mission is... survive!
That's it? Okay.
Let's draw the first card... War! Local Arabs attacking Jews all over the land, joined by the armies of Egypt, Syria, Iraq and Jordan. Do you fight back or surrender?
If I surrender, do I survive?
No.
Then I fight back.
OK, let's draw another one... You lose a huge amount of your population but miraculously manage to win. Are you willing to give back some of the territories you gained in exchange for peace?
Of course, I just want to survive.
Great and now we have... Terror! Hundreds of Israelis killed by Arabs from the West Bank and Gaza. Do you wish to surrender, hunt the terrorists or give the Palestinians autonomy so they can form a peaceful and independent society alongside Israel?
Let's give them autonomy.
OK you get... More terror! Over a thousand Israelis die in countless attacks all over Israel.
Oh wow, I won't be able to survive like this. Let's fight the terrorists in the West Bank and withdraw from Gaza completely. I'll even give the Palestinians all the facilities we created over there. I'm sure they'll find a use for it.
Interesting... The people of Gaza elected Hamas as their ruler and it swore to destroy Israel and kill all the Jews. They also dismantled the infrastructure you gave them and used it to build rockets which they fire towards you. How do you respond?
Okay let's talk to Egypt and together we'll form a tight border around Gaza to control what goes in and out.
Okay... People are mad at you because you formed a blockade.
But they'll kill me if I won't... well then let's give Gaza electricity, fuel, supplies, and billions of dollars.
Okay you get... Even more terror! Hamas uses all the aid to develop terror infrastructure while the people of Gaza remain poor.
This game is not that easy...
You waited too long and now Hamas crossed the border, killed 1500 Israelis and kidnapped 240, all in one day!
OK enough is enough. I enter Gaza to destroy Hamas.
Let's see... Many of your soldiers die fighting in urban territory. You're having trouble because Hamas hides among civilians.
Oh man. Let's use the Air Force and target Hamas officials only.
Hamas uses civilians as human shields. Do you wish to proceed?
Look, I'll put tremendous efforts into targeting Hamas only with as few civilian casualties as possible.
Let's see... Hamas builds military bases inside residential areas, schools, and hospitals, so, unfortunately, civilians die.
OK let me think...
While you were thinking, 30 Israelis died.
Wait a second...
50 Israelis more. Your people fear for their lives.
OK I'll notify the people of Gaza before striking so they have time to evacuate.
Hamas blocks the roads so civilians can't leave.
What do you want me to do?
Now Hamas says that Israel is just the beginning and they want to take on all Western democracies.
OK now I'm sure the world will understand if I keep fighting Hamas while trying as hard as I can to avoid collateral damage.
Let's see... Most people accuse you of performing a genocide and demand you cease fire.
OK, happy to, but only if Hamas will surrender and return the hostages.
They refuse. You are now accused of ethnic cleansing and considered a war criminal.
I'm starting to think I cannot win this game.
==
"Israel is the only country in the world never allowed to win a war." -- Douglas Murray
Remember when Boko Haram kidnapped 300 girls and everyone was all #BringBackOurGirls? Let's leave aside the fact they also kidnapped 10,000 boys and nobody said a word.
What are we currently hearing from Western countries, and particularly from western elites? Motions and calls for a "ceasefire." Not a demand for Hamas to surrender and #BringBackTheHostages, but for everyone to put their guns down so the terrorists can regroup, rearm and reload, and plan even more of the atrocities they've already promised.
I saw one person on social media say "couldn't they start with asking Hamas to please surrender?" I thought they were kidding. They were not. Which is like "why are there still monkeys?" Apparently scientists just never considered this, and Israel just never asked nicely.
"Israel will exist and will continue to exist until Islam will obliterate it, just as it obliterated others before it" "There is no solution for the Palestinian question except through Jihad. Initiatives, proposals and international conferences are all a waste of time and vain endeavors." -- Hamas Covenant, 1988.
Who is making demands of Hamas? Nobody actually expects anything of them, because they know they're terrorists. But they're the ones of which we should be demanding the most.
The only thing you can do when being assaulted by wokescolds, of any variety, is to just do the right thing and ignore them. When they have aligned themselves with full-blown terrorists who have a fatwa issued against them, they don't have the moral high ground.

FATWA | Palestinian Human Rights in Gaza March 9, 2023
The Islamic Fatwa Council (IFC) deems the recently publicized audio and video material containing testimonies of Palestinian residents of the Gaza Strip to be both alarming and concerning. It is the responsibility of the Islamic Seminaries to take a clear and firm stance in light of the inhumane actions of Hamas.
Based on the requests of countless believers, The Islamic Fatwa Council has reviewed extensive documentation of Hamas behavior towards Palestinians in Gaza, including their recently publicized testimonies. Our findings - which are also displayed in our jurisprudential reasoning - result in our ruling that:
1. Hamas bears responsibility for its own reign of corruption and terror against Palestinian civilians within Gaza; 2. It is prohibited to pray for, join, support, finance, or fight on behalf of Hamas - an entity that adheres to the ideology of the Muslim Brotherhood movement.
Furthermore, The Islamic Fatwa Council joins The UAE Fatwa Council and the Council of Senior Scholars of Saudi Arabia in declaring the Muslim Brotherhood movement and all of its branches as terrorist organizations that defame Islam and operate in opposition to mainstream Islamic unity, theology and jurisprudence.

The occupation is committing acts of genocide and ethnic cleansing in North Gaza as part of a systematic American-zionist plan.
For nine consecutive days, the zionist war machine has been carrying out genocidal massacres and ethnic cleansing against our people in North Gaza, particularly in Jabalia Camp. This has resulted in the deaths of hundreds of martyrs, extensive destruction of infrastructure, the blocking of relief supplies, and a starvation war, while preventing fuel from reaching hospitals—threatening the lives of thousands of patients and wounded, as part of a deliberate effort to completely empty northern areas.
North Gaza is facing an extermination war, in which the United States is directly involved through a clear and exposed plan aimed at displacing our people from the northern part of the Strip.
The large-scale zionist campaign on North Gaza, particularly the siege of Jabalia from all directions, confirms that the so-called “Generals’ Plan” is now being actively implemented.
The international community’s silence in the face of the horrors of killing, destruction, starvation, and thirst in North Gaza is direct complicity in these atrocities. This requires a massive global uprising to break this silence and hold accountable all those who support the occupiers, whether through direct backing or justifying their crimes.
The free peoples of the world must bear their moral responsibility and press for an end to these atrocities; this battle is the battle of every person who upholds values of justice and dignity. Abandoning the Palestinian people is tantamount to active participation in these crimes.
The continued zionist holocaust against our people in North Gaza, and the attempt to destroy the health system and infrastructure, will only be met with greater steadfastness and resistance. All occupation and American plans are destined to fail.

Today is the remembrance day for all the Jewish people of Crimea that were killed during WW2. According to the 1939 census, there were 65 452 Jewish people living in Crimea, among whom there were probably more than 7000 Krymchaks. Krymchaks are a separate ethnolinguistic community of the Jewish population, who speak the Crimean Tatar language and are one of the indigenous people of Crimea. Records state about 40 000 victims among Jews and Krymchaks during WW2. Researchers state that the Nazis killed about 80% of the Krymchaks from their pre-war number. The loss of the main part of the ethnic community had irreversible consequences. Among the exterminated were almost all representatives of the older age group - the keepers and bearers of traditions, language and culture.
