An NHS Trust is investigating accusations that pro-Palestine nurses denied a nine-year-old Jewish boy care.
Elliott Smus, who is based in Tel Aviv, Israel, wrote on LinkedIn on Wednesday about an alleged incident at Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital involving his young nephew, who suffers from a rare blood disorder.
Mr Smus said that his nephew, who has suffered with his condition for most of his life, requires a blood transfusion every month or two, spending up to days in hospital for treatment.
He said that his nephew is from a religious Jewish family and wears a kippah and tzitzit, clothing typically worn by orthodox Jewish males.
But he claimed that the child was “kicked out of his bay” by nurses wearing “Free Palestine” badges and forced “to lie on the floor with a canula in”.
As a result, Mr Smus said that his nephew is now scared that if he wears clothing that identifies him as visibly Jewish, he will not receive treatment.
Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust has launched an investigation.
Incident was ‘horrendous’
Countdown presenter Rachel Riley, who is Jewish, described the alleged incident as “horrendous” and called on Andy Burnham, the Mayor of Greater Manchester, and the NHS to investigate “with urgency”.
Mr Smus, who has been contacted for comment, said on social media: “As a religious Jewish family, my nephew wears his black kippah (yamulka, religious hat whatever you want to call it) and his tzitzit proudly.
“Not today. Why you ask? The nurses (NHS employees) are all walking around wearing “Free Palestine” pins and he was scared.
“Beyond that, the last few times he went in he was denied correct medical care by the same couple of nurses every time.
“This culminated the last time he went in, when my visibly Jewish nine-year-old nephew, with an autoimmune blood disease was kicked out of his bay by one of the nurses who was covered in pro-Palestine badges and stickers, and had to lie on the floor with a canula in.
“Now the damage is done and my proudly Jewish nephew (and his parents) is scared to not get treatment if he wears his kippah and tzitzit.
“Coincidentally, today when not visibly Jewish, he received quick care. Also worth noting, prior to the conflict he received excellent care.
“It is terrifying to be a Jew in the world again.”
Anti-Semitism at all-time high
The Community Security Trust, which records anti-Semitic incidents in the UK, said that anti-Semitism hit an all-time high in 2023 in an “explosion of hatred” following the Hamas terror attacks on Israel.
The charity said the surge in anti-Jewish attacks, threats and abuse amounted to a “celebration” of Hamas’s Oct 7 massacre by anti-Semites whose own hatred was fuelled by the brutality of the attacks.
Its annual report said that there were 4,103 anti-Semitic incidents in the UK in 2023, nearly double the previous record in 2021, covering all types of “hate” against Jewish people.
Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust said: “We are aware of images and very serious claims which are circulating on social media.
“We are rapidly investigating these to establish the situation and are discussing them with the family involved. Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital is committed to providing high-quality care to all patients.”
Mr Burnham said: “I have seen the troubling reports shared on social media and have asked the Royal Children’s Hospital to launch an urgent investigation. No one should feel treated differently in our hospitals because of their race or religion. I’ve asked the hospital management to provide regular updates as they gather the facts.”

The "be kind" "right side of history."
Let's put aside for a moment that it's unethical for medical professionals to be wearing political paraphernalia of any variety.
Whether or not the accusation is true, literally nobody doubts that people who are pro-Hamas and support Islamic terrorism are completely capable of this kind of atrocity.

Tonight John Oliver set the supreme court on fire
John Oliver offered Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas A contract paying him one million dollars a year until he died or John dies.
In addition to that, he will give him a brand new Prevost motorcoach, which is worth 2 and a 1/2 million dollars.
All he wants in return is for justice thomas to leave the supreme court
He has 30 days to respond to John Oliver.
quite frankly, I can hardly wait to see what's going to happen Because I don't think Justice Thomas is going to respond. But I do think he's going to think about it
Great work, John. We've been waiting on you to get back and this is what we expected And more.

im shaking every single student organizer and screaming that they need to separate a demand to divest from arms funding from the demand for a university to cut off all contact with Israeli and Israeli-American scholars and students, a demand which no university will agree to because implementing it would in many cases be very illegal
#We’re not talking about personal ethics or whatever or strategy#We’re talking about the fact that discriminating against people based on ethnic origin nationality or passport is in fact a complete#Violation of almost any especially state universities legal code of conduct#And if they did that they could get sued. BY those same lefty legal aid organizations#Not to mention that in practice it would mean blockinf a bunch of researchers or students who are (by American standards) people of color#Pleaaaaase separate your radical demands from this!

If anyone was wondering whatever the fuck happened with that "shark-ray or stingray Jesus" pregnant stingray, the answers are:
-That poor thing is STILL "pregnant" 4 months past her gestation time
-they admitted ON THEIR OWN LIVESTREAM that they don't know how to read ultrasounds
-The "aquarium" (which is a non-AZA accredited, privately owned sideshow in a storefront) was blocking aquarium experts, which they deny, but the blocked people gave the reporter receipts
-They haven't given any indication of actually having a vet examine her and get REALLY SHADY if asked.
-They called the cops on a reporter and the director tried to have her booked for trespassing and this shit is bonkers!!!!!
-They obviously seriously annoyed said reporter with that stunt and the result is a hilariously scathing article all put in the most professionally journalistic language.
"This was my second dust-up with police in 15 years of journalism. The last one was reporting on neo-Nazis in Germany. This one was about a stingray."
Like you know you really pissed off a journalist when this is the quote they highlight after asking another expert about your shitshow
#the amount of bugfuck insanity in this#marine biology#stingray#marine life#the fact that her talk with their PR after basically went#'why did you call the cops on me?'#'thats between you and the cops. also you should only write about how great science is. also what cops?'#the 'ecco says they didnt block anyone but we got receipts'#the 'they fixed all their crazy typos but here they are'#THIS IS WHY YOU DONT CALL THE COPS ON JOURNALISTS?????#BESIDES THE ETHICAL VIOLATIONS I MEAN

As of December 2023, the Federal Election Commission (FEC) has received 59 allegations that Donald Trump or his committees violated the Federal Election Campaign Act. In 29 of those cases, nonpartisan staff in the FEC’s Office of General Counsel (OGC) recommended the FEC investigate Trump. Yet not once has a Republican FEC commissioner voted to approve any such investigation or enforcement of the law against Trump.
Democratic Vice Chair Ellen Weintraub pointed this out in her December 5, 2023 statement of reasons after the FEC once again failed to garner the votes to enforce the law against Trump after he allegedly violated the law by illegally soliciting or directing money to a pro-Trump super PAC that spent millions on ads opposing Joe Biden in 2020.
Because at least four of the six FEC Commissioners need to approve any FEC investigation, and because only three of those seats can be filled by Democrats, Republicans hold a veto over the agency’s enforcement and have repeatedly used it to shoot down any recommended enforcement of campaign finance law against Trump—and thus successfully shielded him from accountability over and over. Instead of fostering bipartisanship, the split FEC has often become gridlocked and, in cases involving Trump, its ability to pursue action is constrained by the members of one party.
The FEC’s enabling statute, the Federal Election Campaign Act, specifically subjects the Commission’s non-enforcement to review to prevent it from blocking meritorious enforcement. In June 2018, however, two Republican-appointed judges of the D.C. Circuit—including now-Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh—largely gutted that rule, giving commissioners the authority to block enforcement of the law without judicial review if the commissioners claimed that they did so as an exercise of prosecutorial discretion or under Heckler v. Chaney.
So, in 21 of the 29 cases where the FEC received recommendations to enforce the law against Trump, Republican commissioners justified non-enforcement by invoking prudential or discretionary factors in attempts to circumvent review.
When dismissing the recommendations to investigate Trump—and to kill further inquiries into his actions—the Republican commissioners have at times claimed that the FEC should not take any action because “proceeding further would not be an appropriate use of Commission resources” or that the resources would be “best spent elsewhere.” Trump has even falsely declared that the FEC “dropped” one of its investigations into him “because they found no evidence of problems.” As Commissioner Weintraub wrote in a statement of reasons in November 2023, “the data is clear: At the FEC, Mr. Trump is in a category by himself.”
Unless courts restore their check on partisan vetoes on enforcement, the commissioners will continue to fail to enforce federal campaign finance law against the powerful figures they are trying to protect.

buffy leads because she is the only one she believes capable of it. willow follows because she wants the privileges of being beside the leader (aka doing whatever she wants, whenever she wants, and never facing any consequences because buffy loves her and buffy's the one in charge of consequences) without any of the responsibility of leadership (aka consequences)
willow has proven that when she is powerful enough that she doesn't need to fear consequences, she does not hold back. not one bit. she will do whatever she wants, kill whoever she wants as horrifically as she wants, and the only thing that EVER stops her is the worry that buffy won’t like her anymore, because if buffy doesn't like her anymore, then she won’t be able to get away with all of her usual bullshit.
#btvs#willow rosenberg#she is so so selfish and it's made clear multiple times that she believes her ability to use magic means she can rewrite the universe#in such a way that means she has never done anything wrong! she uses magic to mind control tara TO STOP BEING MAD AT HER#FOR HER PREVIOUS EGREGIOUS ETHICAL VIOLATIONS AND MISUSE OF MAGIC#sorry. never gonna be over that one.#like. willow rosenberg is one of the greatest characters of all time to me. she's also an enormous asshole.

The doctors were happy for the business and are now facing lawsuits.
By Seamus Othot August 13, 2024
The American Society of Plastic Surgeons has become the first major American medical association to express opposition to the controversial view that surgical interventions are appropriate for minors diagnosed with gender dysphoria.
The news emerged in a new report from Manhattan Institute fellow and pediatric gender medicine expert Leor Sapir.
Sapir revealed that ASPS, which represents the vast majority plastic surgeons in the U.S., has broken with the U.S. official medical consensus of support for transgender medicine for minors.
“The American Society of Plastic Surgeons, an organization representing 92% of all board-certified plastic surgeons in the U.S., becomes the first major medical association to break from the consensus over “gender-affirming care” for minors,” said Sapir on X.
Sapir reached out to the ASPS for comment last month, soliciting their opinion on the leaked internal documents from the World Professional Association for Transgender Health (WPATH), which sets the guidelines for transgender care for minors in the U.S., showing that the organization consistently violated medical ethics and based its medical recommendations on a forged consensus.
Sapir found that the ASPS does not accept the guidelines from either WPATH or any other organization on transgender medicine for minors and recognized that there is no clear evidence that transgender surgeries provide any long-term benefits to minors.
The rebuke to the WPATH standards is significant because, in many states, including Maine, Medicaid reimbursement practices have been crafted according to WPATH recommendations.
The organization also acknowledged that the evidence provided in favor of transgender medicine for minors is “low evidence” and “low quality.”
ASPS stopped short of condemning transgender procedures and medication for minors, but its refusal to accept the existing, extremely permissive rules shows that the U.S. medical establishment is less united in support of child genital mutilation than WPATH or supporters of radical gender ideology wish to claim.
Sapir believes that the ASPS is likely working to provide its own guidelines for its members, some of whom have faced lawsuits from detransitioners who received surgeries as minors that they now regret.
One plastic surgeon at Kaiser Permanente faces a lawsuit from a girl on whom he performed a double mastectomy when she was only 13.
Despite ASPS’s dissent, the U.S. remains one of the most extremely permissive countries in the world for transgender medicine, where minors are routinely able to receive double mastectomies, puberty blockers, and cross-sex hormones, and in some cases, genital mutilating surgeries.
Recently, Europe has begun to step away from transgender medicine for minors.
Even the U.K., which is controlled by the far-left Labour Party, has decided to stop almost all use of puberty blockers for minors after studies revealed that the drugs cause permanent harm to bone development.

You think with accelerated aging/growth in clones there's other aspects affected by it??
Like do their hair and nails grow faster?
Would they be more prone to degenerative illnesses and mental issues???
So much to think about..................
Oh i hadnt considered that before but degenerative illnesses must be sped up too surely.... idk about hair because on the one hand it would make sense i guess if it did grow faster but then also imagine having to shave like twice a day every day. Three day beard that you can braid. Obi wan kenobi on a deserted star ship like "where the hell are all my troops" theyre in the bathroom. Shaving again. Cody's trying out a moustache this afternoon
#ask#answer#kix spends 100 percent of his free time maintaining his intricate hairstyle and if he ever skips a day its ruined#honestly though i think probably the easiest way for it to work is if the acceleration is just through puberty and then stops#maybe its a process that only happens if theyre being given specific drugs that they stop having when theyre deployed#much to think about#many ethical violations

Leor Sapir: Your question is great. Framing this as a matter of choice is very American, and putting this on parents is wrong.
Doctors should not be offering this in the first place. Doctors have a moral obligation and a professional duty to first do no harm. And to put this on parents, with threats of suicide, strikes me as parental abuse by the medical establishment.
We need to stop putting this on parents, we need to stop saying, let the parents decide. We should have doctors act responsibly as medical professionals.
==
The implication is that the doctors, the ones with the medical licenses, are not the responsible one in the room, that the person proposing drastic medical action is not to be trusted, and it's entirely on the parent to perform all the gatekeeping... while being told that if they don't agree, their child will off themselves.

🗣️ The United States Supreme Court is an illegitimate and deeply corrupt institution.
After January 6 and just days before Biden was inaugurated on January 20, the home of Supreme Court Justice Samuel Alito had an inverted flag flying outside of it.
That flag was the symbol that Trump supporters were using at the time for “Stop the Steal.”
The flag alarmed so many of Alito’s neighbors that they took photographs of it and some of them complained to the court which was considering 2020 election cases at the time.
Alito told the New York Times that his wife put it up. (source)
