Fic writers I KNOW yall have been waiting for this one. Which is honestly why I made this page. because i desperately desperately needed a chronological account of what happened on the shoreside!

Well um several long months later, it is here. My fellow editor aerith and I have spent such a long time putting together this information, corroborating my notes with the transcripts, and I am sooo glad it is here.

omg oops sent my message too soon! i was going to say, the vapor suits are actually just that! they’re vapor! they don’t have any physical material apart from a button that enables them, but they are basically just a magic forcefield around your body while you swim in the Ethersea. so Amber doesn’t have psychic arm bags, her suit is intangible, so in that scene she literally turned off her entire vapor suit and was submerged in the water, and then she turned it back on and when it re-engaged, the force of it repelling the water away from her body is what cut the blink shark! they created the vapor suits in the prologue of Ethersea which was a while ago, and i just wanted to let you know for future fanart :3 Amber is so good, she’s my fave character so far

Ohhhh! Thank you! I vaguely remembered something about them being membranous but wasn’t sure. I will keep this for future ref. My microbiology / plankton knowledge will come in handy > : ) cell membranes for DAYS. I did base the “circulatory” system on some branching green algae.

okay look I'm not a fic writer nor do I have the time to be one.. but..

The Ethersea finale aired and now we have post canon room to explore. I am seething with the possibilities.

Seeing Amber and Oksana on the beach with the blinksharks, endless time to catch up and rehash the past 20-odd years apart, and their time together on the other beach before the storm.

Seeing how Amber changes from a hunter to a protector, once the blinksharks are no longer a threat. Seeing how she deals with the guilt of pushing them to extinction on her world.

Seeing Oksana break down her walls and learning how to relax again, after decades of stress and the will of a god in her head. For the first time since she was twenty, she feels at peace, spending all of her time with Amber under the emerald skies.

Seeing them fall in love slowly like when they were kids, but this time there's no time limit looming over them.

Seeing that contentedness run out as Amber begins to worry about her friends back home, and silently deciding she needs to find a way back to them.

Seeing Oksana's concern grow as she notices Amber spending more time alone, wading in the water with short bursts of green light.

Seeing Amber approach Oksana one night and telling her that she's found a way back, but she can't do it without hurting this world.

Seeing them heatedly discuss it before Amber concedes and lays down to rest.

Seeing Oksana comfort her in the coming weeks, as they both grow dejected at the thought of their fate being bound for them.

Seeing the pure astonishment as a tear in the sky erupts where it once did all those long months ago, and Zoox and Devo offer their hands toward the shore.

Seeing Amber insisting that Oksana go first, because "Founders Wake would need her most."

Seeing Amber compel her astral arms out as she leaps toward the portal, and Zoox catches her by the collar of her vest.

Seeing as the way to that other world closes slowly and the oceans ripple in grand patterns of light as the blinksharks say goodbye.

Seeing the team reunite once again, traitors cast aside and a new new world opens its doors to a promising future.

I ALWAYS FORGET ABOUT HIM! Probably because he's like slowly introduced throughout, but I totally forgot about him until my second listen through and ugh I need to pay better attention cause HE'S GOT SO MUCH GOING ON!

I'm so excited to see where season 2 takes us with him but I also am glad to have this time between seasons to sit with his character and theorize and all that :)
