The Overlords of the Underforest

A place of the world of Eternal Time, Dimension 0.97

The Underforest is a harsh enviroment where a lot of different creatures fight to survive. This cause a very strong hierarchy system between the different species who live here which is hard to confront.

The Overlord is the name to the creature known as the strongest member of this place, although is a title that will last until someone else take it over. Is not really an official title, but all creatures fear the "Overlords".

One of the Fesnali got lost here and tried to tame one of the strong creatures that live here to become the new Overlord of this place, combining it's intelligence and developing a strong bond with the overgrown Hesbraks flying creature.

They glide around this jungle and hunt the preys to use their remains as armors as trophies.

PHEMOS /SPIKER

The Phemos also known as Spiker for its tendencies to shot spikes and its body surrounded by them.  

They are some species native to the Red Mist Forest and they are perfectly adapted to this place. Their body is composed by 4 soft and malleable arms that can take some different shapes and a harder center shell similar to an exoskeleton along with a protected neck and a long head with 2 extensions to each side.  

About their movement, they can move slowly with their arms, also their arms are able to produce sticky substances that let them even stay on walls or upside down, which gives them an edge in their hunting. 

They have 2 main ways of feed, both as important, although they have less needs of hunting than from the spikes of the plants of their forest. Using their soft part in their body they are able to devour the spikes of smaller size to extract some nutrients from them and after the chemical process in their body these spikes become even more dangerous for other lifeforms. Then these spikes are able to travel inside the Phemos’ body until they reach the little holes of its body to protect themselves.  

But the ones that are in the head can be ejected at high speed to be used as a lethal ranged weapon. When these spikes manage to kill their prey, they start a chemical reaction that let the Phemos consume the body of its prey. This also is used for self-defense, sometimes they cooperate with each other to surround a prey or protect each other from different sides. 

They can communicate with each other producing some sounds. They mostly cooperate for convenience. Their reproduction is sexual and there isn’t any major sexual dimorphism in this species. 

Phemos are a species that is better to stay away from, because if there are one there might be more and they are cunning enough to be able to trap a prey from many different angles. Some people had tried to do some weapons using the same spikes, which are very effective against other organic creatures, so some hunters or explorers use them.

anon, I am so sorry and I mean this in the best way, but I do think episode 5 is the absolute funniest place to have stopped following Twst because shit starts escalating SO fast after that. episode 6 literally starts with a secret government shadow agency breaking down our doors and kidnapping students. zero to a million instantly.

and like...that's not even the zaniest thing so far? Ortho's hacked into the collective human unconscious. there's time travel (sort of). "Crowley might be Malleus' long-lost father" is a serious theory. if you'd told me any of this back pre-episode 6, I would have asked for the link to this unbelievable but highly intriguing fanfic.

also, episode 7 gave us (and then immediately took away 😔) the best character in the whole story:

Artzior Executor

A creation of the world of Eternal Time.

The Artzior are a race that got to this world and is strongly linked to the purple gas clouds called Netirium. They need that to feed themselves and also replicating their own bodies they use that to their technology. They are an alien race heavily focused on technology since they can't get out of their purple clouds without any kind of suit or protection, so they need to use their mechs and vehicles.

This is the Artzior Executor, their most powerful land war machine. It have four legs that copy the tentacles of the Artzior to move across any kind of terrain with ease and it use the "feet" to attach and maintain stability. It's main weapon is creating a massive burst of Netirium in the central cannon, after targeting an objective. It first overheat the air and electrifies it to create a tunnel to transport the energy in a massive explosion that burst through any target.

Is also equipped with shield technology and some additional repair drones. And smaller energy guns to deal with minor threats.

The Artzior are trying to get into a passive and pacifist approach but they wont hesitate on releasing their war machines if something truly threatens them.

RALKI Ralki are creatures that lived around the surface of the Nemia Island, until they were moved out by more aggresive species to the depths. That is why they are called “exiled”. Now they mostly roam around the Zorker caves and many of them had become frenzied, while only a few ones have a bit of what they were and try to hide from the hostile predators and humans. 

They have a hard exoskeleton body with 4 sharp legs that can dig through rocks and 2 arms with sharp fingers and some sort of spike that lets them dig. They had been influenced by the Red and Purple Stream, using it to facilitate their digging or being able to shot small blasts of energy. Their glowing part in the head is not an eye is a receptor of this energies, same as the “wings”. They have a small mouth with no teeth, they must triturate the food before ingesting it. 

They move using their 4 legs and are able to dig using all their limbs. They can go through some tunnels around the caves and are able to quickly dig through sand of gravel. When their dig their hands illuminate with purple from the energy from the Purple Stream. 

Most of their diet consist in some plants, now mostly the shrooms that grow around Zorker Cave. They are known to be able to cultivate some plants and use some storage that let the food rot slower. 

They are very social creatures that have some sort of culture, they even are able to sculpt statues or draw in rocks, even then they don’t seem to be particularly advanced, they mostly draw what they see (other creatures, landscapes, themselves...) Ralki are able to cooperate for their daily needs, but they are very ill prepared for any kind of combat and they will have very poor tactics, or just flee. This is the cause of their demise. Some had got too much energy stream power in the depths and had started to become frenzied, and more aggressive and with a stronger energy inside them, which make them more dangerous, but they no longer are the same as they were. They just turn into mindless beasts. 

The frenzied ones attack anything on sight, while the other ones are shy and try to evade other creatures. But if one shows that they are not hostile, they can be befriended or even some cases of humans living with them are known.
