Cryya isn't sure how to feel about her Sam doll, but she's about 5 seconds from flinging it full-sail at the wall out of embarrassment :D

Are there any main characters to RSP? Who are they?
While RSP is many stories, these two would be considered the “main characters” out of everyone! ♥

OC Trivia: Essam ‘Sam’ Fog
-He’s pansexual but is very hesitant about being open about this fact. He didn’t know he wasn’t straight until his early 20s when he realized his feelings for his roomate Jene Odio were much more than drunken attraction
-Sam has a tough time letting himself just being emotional and serious because he’s honest-to-God terrified of his own feelings. About anything.
-He loves roses. Absolutely loves them. He is a music major at his school but he’s specifically doubling in botany so he can splice roses and make new more brilliant variants with his spare time. He’s smart as hell.
-A former alcoholic. He quit alcohol cold turkey and isn’t comfortable drinking beverages he actually thinks taste good. He only drinks an occasional beer because he hates beer.
-Sam loves children and, even though inexperienced, he handles being around children very well. (fun fact: Sam has a total of three kids. His oldest son Pyte lives with him and his girlfriend Cryya. His second daughter is named Puck and she’s being raised by Sam’s great-grandfather Shao Ma, and his last child is Iris, who was adopted by Jene(Iris’ other biological parent) and his partner Levi)
-He has commitment issues and self-doubt about whether anyone could ever really love him and often doesn’t believe in himself or anything he has achieved. Sam tries his best not to let his need for validation hinder his friendships, though.
-He has a very infectious laugh and his efforts to be encouraging and optimistic are hard-fought and rewarding. Sam loves to make other people feel valued in their thoughts and actions.
-Sam is always ready to sit up all night with a friend who needs his company. He’ll order pizza and bring over some video games. Or if a friend would rather talk, he’ll listen. Even if he can’t advice, or understand fully what’s going on, Sam tries his absolute best for his friends.
-He’s obsessed with the color purple.
-Sam writes comedy music as a comfort to himself. He’s done ‘serious’ music and enjoys recording covers as well, but comedy music is a niche that makes him the happiest.

Do Sam or Cryya have any past relationships?
Oooh, they do indeed-y.
Cryya has one ex-boyfriend named Magnus. Like Cryya, Magnus doesn’t show affection well and doesn’t easily form attachments. And this was one of the biggest strains on their relationship. While they both scoffed at traditional romantic language, and had similar pragmatic philosophies, they also both wanted more from a relationship than someone to talk shit with. For Cryya, she more or less wanted Magnus to at least say he loved her. At least pay…a little attention to her. Magnus was neither interested nor did he pretend to be interested in displays of affection and in the end he realized he didn’t want a relationship at all… He admitted to Cryya that he had cheated on her with an angel. It had come out of nowhere for Cryya. Even if he was distant, he had always been honest, and even kind of sweet in his own way. She didn’t know what to think. She asked him if it had happened more than once and he replied ‘yes.’ She asked him if he regretted it and he replied ‘no.’ She got up and left his dorm and never looked back. He didn’t care either way, but he still holds onto the couple of things she forgot at his place.
Ironically, although Sam is a hopeless romantic and has had quite a few close encounters of the naked kind, he only actually considers two people as contenders for the position of an ex. Diana is an Angel of Lust, the angelic equivalent of a Desire, what Sam’s stronger half is. Diana was the first person to not feel inadequate because of Sam’s instincts. She taught him it didn’t mean he wasn’t worth loving. The problem was that Diana didn’t practice what she preached. When he caught her cheating on him, she tried to play off by saying she knew that Sam had done it too; “What’s the big deal Sam? Why is it so bad that I do it, too? Are you mad that I do it better than you?” But she was wrong. He had never once considered sleeping with anyone else while with her. He refused to be baited by her manipulation and broke up with her. …..and almost broke the monochromatic prick she was fucking in half.
His ‘relationship’ with Jene Odio was a completely different story. They weren’t even really in a romantic relationship and are best friends. Sam and Jene were thrown together as roommates and Sam soon found himself crushing really hard on his new roomie. Jene is an angel of order and for the most part just didn’t feel the same romantic kinship that Sam did. Jene was just…too old(by angel standards) to consider Sam that way. But even unrequited, his feelings for Jene really opened the door for Sam about accepting all aspects of himself. And the friendship that followed helped even more. Sam is super grateful that Jene shut down his romantic advances but made it clear that it didn’t have to do so much with Sam as a person. Jene just…loves him more as a younger brother, and Sam has accepted that.
[Illustrations of Magnus, Diana, and Jene were supposed to be provided by Mik but he’s an asshole]

Don Bluff/Shakespeare inspired idea
Basic idea inspired by ‘you know Sam and Cryya are alot like Don Bluff protags’
Sam is the middle child of the Fog family, that founded a village a while ago. Their family has money, prestige, hell they're pretty much considered nobility for the village of Chasten, where we lay our scene.
Cryya is the youngest of the Roew family, and while they are not the founders of the village, they own the deeds and rent out most of the properties on the village and are actual nobles.
Two houses very alike in dignity, the same amount of prestige in Chasten and the villagers both know and revere the Fog family and Rowe family equally.
Sam and Cryya are both the 'problem child' for different reasons.
Sam is self-indulgent and -destructive, unafraid to exploring and partaking in undignified activites to find a niche that isn't tied to the Fog name.
Cryya is rebellious and repulsed by her siblings' attitude. She's prone to leaving home on her own for long periods of time just to get an escape for everything making her sick at home.
The meet at a bar known as the Wyvern's Nest, owned by a hard-handed, loudmouthed, sweet-only-at-heart, pickpocketin' thievin expert Le'Eri the half-orcish elf. And her merry band of bar workers/theiving party.
'Never met a Fog/Rowe before' 'You're not what I expected?' 'Can I see you again?'
They meet at the bar again and again and each time doing it less conspicuously.
Sam goes missing. Outraged, Shao sends a letter to Cryya politely seeking her company.
Unbeknownst to both of them, Coma had summoned Sam to their home, and stripped him of his human guise and cast him out into the night in his demon form and he's currently hiding with the guardsman who found him.
Shao blames Cryya for his grandson's disappearance and through interrogation and an attempt to steal her soul, stripped her of her human guise, revealing her to be celestial. She fled the Fog home, having only one other witness to Shao's cruelty: his oldest grandson, Devin.
(Chea learned from Coma what he did because Coma's shit at keeping secrets from her)
Cryya flees and runs into someone patroling outside of Chasten and she throws down what gold she has on her to pay for this fighter to protect her. The, now bodyguard, agrees.
A few days pass with both Cryya and Sam missing. The bodyguard tells Cryya that she'll bring Cryya to her cousin's within the village because he can be trusted. The cousin is the guardsman.
Cryya and Sam reunite and see each other for who they each really are. Neither back down from each other. The guardsman then takes them to the village seer, who has perceived 'a being of the stars and a being of the flame being intertwined in the dirt again.' They seek his advice.
Unfortunately, what's done is done, Sam and Cryya may make new disguises for temporary use, they will never again be able to fully transform into their human forms. But this isn't their greatest threat. Since they've been gone, their elder siblings, Chea and Devin had fled their homes together and publicly announced their intentions of leaving Chasten. The upset and unrest in both houses will erupt if Cryya and Sam stay missing.
And that’s just what i’ve got so far.
