he raised you very well since your debut with him and the boys and he just wants you to be happy

definitely favors you a lot more than the others and the bias is super obvious. he once bought you a shit ton of snacks for your birthday and the rest of the members were shocked af

this of course means you bicker a lot with him like jungkook, the two of you even sometimes team up to go against your hyung

but he also knows when you’re feeling down because his parent instincts kick in, he knows when you’re feeling down the dumps so he does something to cheer you up

whether it’s make you crack up with a stupid dad joke or buy your favorite drink, he’d do anything for his baby

if you’re upset or angry at the other members he’s one of two members that can calm you down, just because he’s really calm and knows how to handle your emotions

also definitely spoils you with snacks and drinks too

and he’s also the reason why you develop led your evil maknae side

back then you were so shy and pure but then he came into your life with his savage ways and sarcastic remarks. he rubbed off of you too much

also if anyone dares to hurt you he’s throwing hands. this bitch is really scary, he will give haters a death glare if they even LOOK at you

okie nobody can deny that our main boy over here is a loud soul, however, he can also carry a damn good beat that compliments his band mates’ music really well. Tbh, he sucked at music to begin with and had trouble matching rhythms and listening to his band mates when they played, however he eventually became a really good rhythm maker.

Sasuke

-Guitar (lead)

He’d be assigned to the same band as Naruto, and that’s how they met. This boy is a damn good guitarist y’all, but has attitude problems™, and used to not be able to deal with Naruto’s haphazard beat making, thus perpetuating a rivalry between the two. He constantly feels overshadowed by his elder brother Itachi, a piano major.

Sakura

- Dance

Ya girl fucking demolishes every single dance routine. Initially starting out with a focus on ballet (pre-shippuden in canon), our pink headed queen soon realized that she wasn’t getting the full experience of what it meant to dance. Her point shoes were her loves, however they hurt and nipped in places not just physical. She realized that she didn’t want to be pigeonholed into a genre of which she would be inhibited by standard, and rather to dance so as to forget technical perfection. Thus, what would partner with post-shippuden Sakura in canon, Art School AU Sakura got into hip-hop. And bitch, she goes hard. A lot of the other girls who she used to dance ballet with admire her for her absolutely BODYING her dance routines, but also for never sacrificing her femininity to dance and not taking BS for being a girl who goes so hard in a male-dominated genre. (Some people believe that hip-hop is heavy hitting and a little metaphorically “dark” so to speak, which Sakura is not. So obviously I expect a little disagreement regarding this, however if you look at people like Delaney Glazer or Kaycee Rice, that is how Sakura would dance).

Hinata

- Creative Writing

Shy and bookworm-like, Hinata can write the best poetry, romance and adventure pieces out of all the creative-writing majors. She’s especially good at writing character relationships and development, and has such a subtle sense of intelligent wit in her writing, that if you blinked you would miss it. However should you catch it, you’re sure to chuckle. Her only struggle is that she tends to drag on in important scenes, stretching them against the regular flow of the rest of her writing. Needs validation for her writing through an IV drip.

Kiba

- Drums OR Photography

Drums for obvious reasons (loud and obnoxious), although ruff boi looks good with a camera, too. Great at landscapes and street photography.

Shino

- Creative Writing OR Photography

I could definitely see Shino having fucking beautiful handwriting, and being a beast at writing anything within the sci-fi realm. I could also see him doing some journalism, and writing for the school paper. He’s very good at the logic of his sci-fi books and coming up with logical but enrapturing stories, that intermingle knowledge and mystery. He’s a very specific type of read, however, and may not appeal to all, however if you enjoy anything similar to Star Wars or Hitchhikers guide to the galaxy, then Shino is your author. If this doesn’t float your boat, though, try photography-major Shino. He can get the best angles of bugs he sees, and has an extensive portfolio with entomology-related snapshots.

Ino

- Dance

Like Sakura, she, too, began with a focus on ballet, however began to branch out into contemporary ballet a little later than Sakura. This is another reason why Sakura switched her focuses, as she and Ino had always had a fierce rivalry for dieting (ballet dancers are pressured to be as thin as possible) as well as battling for technical perfection when they were ballet focused. As the two grew, Ino focused more so on contemporary, but can certainly do some hip-hop with Sakura every now and then, just as Sakura occasionally takes a contemporary class with her. The two still have a rivalry, however, just not to the previous extent as when they were actively competing against each other. They’re more like sisters.

Shikamaru

- Guitar (bass) OR Creative Writing OR Architecture

Smart boy’s a tricky one. He would either be a bassist, a mystery and historical fiction writer, or, of his school offers it, be great at architecture. Idrk.

Choji

- ermmmmm….. maybe graphic design? Tech theatre (props)? Vocal???

Choji is hARD dwnccnpc (that’s what she said). I could see him behind a computer screen, animating and designing games/covers/posters or whatever. He could also do something in theatre, but I don’t think he would do anything up on stage. Something like props would suit him. He might do something in music, tho???? Can he sing???? Help???

UPDATE: Choji is a band kid. He plays tuba or some shit. Big boy got big lungs.

Tenten

- Dance

Always has been, and always will be a hip-hop dancer. She wanted to be like Tsunade, a legendary dancer and followed in her footsteps, taking up hip-hop. (that’s why Sakura focused on hip-hop, too, because Tsunade mentored her and taught a few of her classes, too). Tenten is fast and can keep up with any beat. Not only is she a great dancer, but she’s also athletic, and does track and field (cross country), football, and softball at another school too, since the arts schools doesn’t offer it. Overall great dancer with styl. She’s really looked up to by some of her underclassmen for her cheery, but badass style and skill.

Lee

- DANCE (hip-hop, too)

It’s sweat. It’s burn. It’s energy. It’s Lee.

Neji

- Violin

First chair violinist in his freshman year for the school’s philharmonic orchestra. He be extra like that.

Gaara

He had a lonely childhood with neglectful/abusive parents, and rock music really helped him with that. Emo music is emo and often made fun of, but the songs have messages and Gaara related, so self-taught himself the bass guitar to help cope, and bring him closer to the music that salvaged him.

Temari

- Acting

Girl can make you cry with some of her monologues. Total lead. Has a seriousness in her acting that makes her believable, however can falter on the less-serious roles. She may also double-major in whatever Shikamaru does. And she’s better at it than him.

Itachi

-Piano

Boy could play any etude at age 7. Performed at Carnegie Hall when he was 10. And no, he didn’t pay to play there. The hall invited him. Began composing at 9. Has perfect pitch. Owns international awards. If he’s not at school it’s because he’s traveling to play for crowds. He excels at classical and baroque, however has an ear for romantic, and enjoys playing/composing pieces either written or inspired by romantic pieces. Enjoys Schumann, Debussy, and Tchaikovsky. Hates modern classical music, though. Can only take cinematic pieces composed by people like Williams, however can’t stand Prokofiev at all. He does like modern music, though, so long as it’s outside of the orchestral/classical music realm. He likes R&B. He would have liked to do film with Shisui, particularly producing, however his parents pressure him with piano, so he helps Shisui with student films and projects outside of school (will probably pursue film after graduating, tho).

Shisui

- FILM / VIDEO PRODUCTION

Fight me on this!!! THIS BOY IS SO GOOD AT CINEMATOGRAPHY MY FILMMAKING ASS CAN’T EVEN. AS SOMEONE WHO IS IN LOVE WITH FILMOGRAPHY, TRUST ME, SHISUI HAS IT™. THE IT™. HE’S GOOD AT EVERYTHING. Legendary dancer. Probably toured with a few famous people. Now teaches. Mentored Sakura, and mentored Ino but for a shorter time.

Okay I gave in and I am watching Street Dance of China Season 4 X’D

- I love how international the pool of contestants is. Even if they barely speak each other’s languages, they can appreciate each other’s talent and skill.

- I did not watch last season so all of the contestants are new to me.

- I watched the opening film on Reddit and it was really fun and it’s probably a big part of why I was hooked into the show haha. There’s some loose lore there that isn’t super important. I liked seeing how all of the captains had performances that suited their own style of dancing. Also I think people think that Jackson’s going to guest on this season because apparently he voiced the guy that invited all of the captains.

- Han Geng slipped mega fast into gege mode while helping Henry and Yixing......I may catch feelings.

- The random method of choosing dancers is pretty fair imo, especially how they separated them into categories (e.g. dancers based on what style they danced, etc.) so that the teams would be pretty even. Also it must’ve been fun for the dancers to get a little figure or trading card of themselves lol.

- Out of the choreographers, I think Eleven and Wang Run left a bigger impression on me. The others were awesome too though.

- My favourite rooms/streets is probably Yixing’s or Henry’s. A lot of people like Yixing’s because of how striking it looks. He lucked out because red is always the most striking colour haha. But I like the scifi feeling of Henry’s room. I think it’s quite cool.

- Henry’s 100% showing off his language skills hahaha. Part of it is for him to show off his skills (lol) but the other part of it is that he’s trying to break the ice and make his team feel included even if they don’t speak Chinese.

- Yixing......so awkward. So much dead time lmfao. I love him but he cannot MC to save his life hahaha.

- Yibo is so serious lol, no introductions.

- I was thinking that if I was a contestant, I’d want to be on Han Geng’s team. He’s the chillest, but it isn’t that he isn’t prepared. He’s just very relaxed.

- I mean, all of the performances were great, what can I really say?! It was interesting seeing how some of the dancers from other cultures used Chinese music.

- I was thinking about how with “mainstream” pop dancing, dancing is used to complement the music, but in all of these performances, the music was the complement to the dancing.

- Rochka fanboying over Ibuki was pretty cute, not gonna lie. There are also quite a few Japanese ladies on Yixing’s team, and I love they cheer each other on. But seriously, Ibuki is such a little warrior princess!!! Love her :P

- Speaking of which, Yuri getting one of the Chinese dancers to teach her how to say 你很帥 and then practising it was cute haha. I just love how even though there’s a language barrier, they have fun with each other.

- Acky san uwu. I think he’s just here to have a good time, and he’s so encouraging and friendly and relaxed!!!!!!!!! Love him. He’s the supportive uncle lol. AC is also pretty cute haha. After Acky performed, AC gave him a big ol’ hug.

- Lmao Lil Kev and Nelson not feeling the food that Han Geng brought....to be fair it probably is something that is an acquired taste. In the end, the staff brought them burgers.

- Seeing the captains put the teams together was fun. Teamwork!!!!!

- It always amazes me how FAST dancers can choreograph and put together a dance. I’m assuming their dance backgrounds help them to recognize common dance moves but still!! RESPECT!

- I LOVED the five person performance from Yixing’s team, choreographed by Bunta. It was a little less uniform than the performance from Yibo’s team, with the dancers dancing in ways that matched their styles and body types, but still looking cohesive as a team. And it went with the music super well, expressing the lyrics of the song. I couldn’t stop rewatching the performance haha.

- Bouboo seems so cool. Like he’s so chilled out and calm but also super steady. Whenever he walked out for his battles, I was already like oooooh the stage presence. This man is so cool haha.

- The Bouboo vs. Ibuki battle was very interesting because we can see that their strengths lie in different areas. For example, I felt that Ibuki did better in the upbeat songs, whereas Bouboo was better in the chilled out relaxed songs. That being said, I felt like Bouboo had more variety in his repertoire. He had a lot of different moves. Ibuki did default to waacking quite often, which makes sense because that’s what her strength is. I also felt like Ibuki was more dancing to the music, whereas Bouboo was moving “alongside” the music. Like, Bouboo was hanging out with the music whereas Ibuki saw the music as a set of rules to follow.

- I thought that this show might have a lot of “variety show editing” e.g. showing reactions from a million different angles, but surprisingly, it is paced very well. There is almost always something happening.

- Why don’t they cut down on the episode length? This show had three very distinct sections (1) formation of the teams, (2) teams getting to know each other and “auditioning,” and (3) the battle between Henry and Yixing. So I’m confused as to why the show is going with nearly 3 hour long episodes. I checked MDL and apparently this show is supposed to have 12 episodes. I know Chinese shows have an episode length limit of like 40 episodes, but even if this show cut down on the number of episodes, it would not reach 40 episodes, so I am very curious.

- I liked that we got some commentary from the judges. Even though we’re all about good vibes, I still liked that we got judge commentary to explain to us why they chose who they chose.

- I think my favourite teams so far are Yixing and Yibo’s teams, but I’m also not sure if it’s because the camera purposely gave us more screen time of their teams because they were battling first. Yixing and Yibo’s teams seemed very friendly and cohesive and supportive thus far. I would want to have Han Geng as my captain, but I would want to have teammates like Yixing’s or Yibo’s haha.

- I am hyped for the next episode haha. It’ll have more performances since there won’t be any introductions required anymore.

ONF - New World (Performance MV)

The last one. Ahhh, when I first committed to watching RTK, I wasn't sure what to expect and I didn't know anything about the other groups. I'd seen TBZ's Reveal (Catching Fire) which lured me in and I'm grateful for it because I got to see all the other amazing performances everyone pulled off. Beyond just the performances, it was really heartwarming to get little glimpses of the hard work everyone puts into each stage and how they're always supporting each other, within their own teams and outside of it. I would definitely recommend watching RTK if you're interested in getting into any of the groups featured, and even if not I would still recommend watching the performances because they're all so unique in their arrangements and stages. It's the kind of thing that can only happen on a competition show.

Thanks for putting up with all my ranting and know that I love you if you've read all my different thought posts. I hope you all look forward to Kingdom: Legendary War as well, it's gonna be HYPE!

Alright dudes let's get down to it.

Admittedly I did not love ONF for a lot of RTK. They're a great group, but I felt like their stages didn't favor the same kind of theatricality other groups had. And when they were ranked highly for We Must Love + Moscow Moscow (2nd round, My Song) stage, I was frankly a little miffed.

I adored their stage for It's Raining though, and all throughout RTK even if I didn't love them I still thought they were wonderful. Their reactions were so entertaining to watch and their stages were all fun and well executed.

I struggled watching New World a bit because I couldn't get over the fact they went back to more simple performances when It's Raining had been so elaborate.

The performance MV for New World is amazing. I understand the live performance had to be filmed indoors and that because it's indoors and because the stage is black and the stairs are black and the bleachers are black, the impact is different. But I'm really sad about that because the open air film location they did for the performance MV fit the song's vibes so much better. The kind of controlled sunlight, the open air lattices of the building they were standing on, the contrast between the dark outfits the members had and the bright cream of the building's plaster. All of those contributed to such a different vibe for the song, which is so bright and fun.

The opening to the light performance is a short film, similar to ONEUS and Pentagon. I'm not too sure about this but it seems to start with fast cuts from their previous MVs? And then slows down marginally to give a bit of storyline that seems to be a combination of pre and post apocalypse/societal collapse in a fantasy/cyberpunk mix world? Yeah, I dunno I've watched it 4 times and that's the best I could come up with. Especially because the ending shot is several very large meteors crashing through the atmosphere and like, those are pretty deadly so...?

In the pre-performance bit with the ONF members, they had discussed a theme of Pandora's box. Most people know that Pandora's box is a symbol of curses and tragedy, often tied to themes of humanity's greed versus humanity's innocence in listening to the gods. On opening the box, all the diseases and negativity inside flooded out to torment humanity but Hope remains in the box to allow humanity to maintain light in the darkness, and only humanity can give up hope.

NGL I was really excited to see how they would execute that theme. But then?? They kind of treated the box as a time capsule? I could kind of see it like them put their hopes into the box, which is an interesting twist on the tale of Pandora's box but also Confusion because that's definitely not the theme of that story. I kind of let it go though, because maybe they were just borrowing inspiration from the story and not actually trying to represent it.

Moving onto the actual performance and song. The intro is so intense! It's a really interesting fit because the rest of the song is way more dance upbeat/electric. But as far as openings go, pretty impactful and very pleasing to watch the ripple effect with the backup dancers down the aisle.

Again with the colorful flashing lights. Cool? Yes. Contributing to the aesthetic? Not particularly. Productive to the storyline? No. Part of the performance? Yes. Shruggy on this one, I don't really have anything to add that I haven't mentioned in previous commentaries.

I do really like the song though. Just as a piece of music, it's so fun to listen to and has definitely joined the ranks of my usual kpop bops. The kind of light, fast electro beat is something to jam to. Wyatt's voice is just so good, especially as part of the pre-chorus. The contrast makes it delightful to go from verse one to chorus. The lyrics and message of the song are really well thought out and executed as well, talking about reaching a better world and turning away from hurting each other/the environment/generally being hurtful.

OKAY. So this part is actually something I really adored: the sort of robotic formation. Wherein the members stand in the center of several backup dancers who seem to place on pieces or armor or something onto the member's limbs. A very clean cut, fast paced dance sequence that really strongly reminded me of early iron man scenes in which the different parts of armor were installed on the body. Also lowkey reminiscent of magical girl transformation hahahaha. But it's done so cleanly and while the camera angles make it hard to focus, it's still such a treat to watch. AND THEN. The members come up to the shoulders of the backup dancers and for Wyatt's lines, they're just!! In control! If y'all have watched power rangers or Gundam or Aquarion or Neon Evangelion or like, any of those then you know what I'm talking about, in which the human character slides into some massive machine and controls them from the inside to fight monsters (kaiju) and stuff. And the next bit with J-US and the hands! Creative, interesting imagery, just a complete delight to watch. It's just sooooo fun and I love that for ONF, I really do.

I genuinely think that their theme doesn't make much sense without the context of the lyrics and even then it still feels clunky and sort of inspired by rather than actually embodying the concept. So I'd dock point for them for that personally because I think that when themes are introduced and performed, they should show up as more than just a simple prop. But also I acknowledge that dance and musical performances like this (not musicals) aren't necessarily intended to be storytelling, especially in 4th gen kpop. I do like their theme with the keys and opening, I feel like the performance would have been enhanced if instead of using pandora's box, they choose to use the gateway to the new world. A bit on the nose but a lot more impactful with the key turning bit after the second chorus.

On the key turning bit with the weird holographic box: Dude. Those backup dancers? So clean. Nice stiff steps that feel very robotic which goes wonderfully with the costumes. The keys they each take actually read RTK ONF if you go clockwise from the left (MK). Just a neato little fact. Attention to detail is so good. And the timing of the key turns, of course it was gonna be to the beat but like still! Satisfying af.

Why Wyatt grabs the box and slams it to the ground I don't know. Maybe it has to do with the line dive into new world.

The high notes. Again. Literally just. What the fuck guys, they're so good. I'm gonna cry. The stability, the pitch, just. (sobbing)

The LED screen in the back is interesting? Is it supposed to be a door into the new world? Probably?

Dance break!! Guitar solo!! The door tradition into the weird stripey LED screens that just feels so chaotic and kinda like I'm going through a movie warp portal. Somehow when combined together it all works lmao??

I love the bridge. There's no reason for it, I just love Wyatt's fast paced lines and the kind of dun dun dun fast tempo beat tapping.

The ending of running away from the camera, towards the little cliffs and the LED screen was a good choice because the last lines refer to how they'll never stop as long as they're alive. Not the most impactful ending but definitely satisfying given the song's lyrics and meaning. Again, that lack of pandora's box kind of haunts me?

Overall if I consider this ONF performance compared to their others it doesn't feel quite as thought out and executed. Similar to their We Must Love + Moscow Moscow performance where I couldn't really see the marionette theme, I couldn't really understand the idea of Pandora's box in this performance and I really wish they had chosen perhaps a gateway to the new world or some other theme instead because it would fit much better. It's also a little lackluster compared to the performance MV that had a lot of contrast which created more focus and contributed more to the atmosphere of the performance.

Still, as a performance on it's own, it does pretty well and I'm really happy for ONF to have performed it. Thank you RTK for introducing me to this song and to ONF in general, I hope they continue to release some really good stuff.

Two concerts. First rows. An afterparty and a meet and greet.

Aka the two best days of my entire life. My hands are still shaking, so pls ignore typos.

Okay, so, Bára/ @followthecreeper , Lucy/ @beauty-at-matrix, our friend Terka and Anna/ @062467 (who joined us to the first rows) and I attended the two concerts in Prague. I’m gonna write down everything I can and the girls are encouraged to add just as much they can. ♡♡♡

The First Concert

The first day we got to the arena at 8am and our waiting began. We managed to be right behind a couple so we were among the first people there – the waiting was annoying but so much worth it. When the gates finally opened we sprinted down into the venue and managed to get a spot in the first row right in front of Paul. (We risked by going to a different entrance than we had on the tickets, thankfully, all went well.) Then came a couple of more hours of waiting and the duo Jatekok started to play. Not your usual choice of a support but I rather liked it. Also during the waiting one of the security guys came to us, asked us how are we doing and then he opened his hand and had a number of Richard’s pick in it. They were gone in a matter of seconds lol – Lucy managed to get one, I had one gripped but a dude was stronger than me. The last ten minutes were the longest minutes in my entire life – though what came after them was the most beautiful thing ever.

Rammstein started playing at 19:40 – Schneider’s intro really knocked the air out of you and as each member started to walk out onto the stage, the madness began. I wanted to cry when I finally saw them all right in front of me and when Paul walked to our side and IMMEDIATELY started looking into the audience, we lost our shit. @babypaulchen was right, the man keeps staring at you, keeps smiling at you and plays with you the entire time! We could see he really loved when we started to headbang and our hair went flying everywhere – I can remember how he was looking at me, smiling, and then he started to headbang too, encouraging us to be crazy.

I think that somewhere in the beginning of the concert Till came to our side and sung right in front of us. Then the motherfucker looked at me and mimicked at me that I should take my shirt off and show him my tits. I just raised the crop top so my bra was visible but that was not enough for him and he kept raising his hands up, so I would take the bra off too. With so many people around I was too shy to do that so I just laughed and shook my head, screaming NO! at him. He pretended to be offended, waved his hand in dismiss and returned to the center. Later in the song he came back and did the leg thingy where he threw his leg onto the railing and kept singing.

Paul kept running from one place to another, being the sweetheart that he is, he even climbed behind Schneider to play with him and then kissed his forehead. My heart melted. And every time he was on his side he kept looking down, seeing us party down there and laughing so much. I never really could hold his gaze longer than for a couple of seconds, It just felt like you’re suddenly the only person it there. He also went down to the fence and signed a couple of things, then he touched our hands as he walked by. The same thing went with Till when he was kicked down during Mein Teil and he walked by us in all his butcher glory.

During Links one of the main security guys was walking down the row, stopped right in front of me and just offered me the Afterparty bracelet. I couldn’t believe my eyes as he strapped the band around my hand and told me where to go after the concert. Fucking speechless. He then continued into the middle, picking up some other random people as well. I also saw Joe so I waved at him, hen noticed me and winked back lol.

During the concert you could really see how much fun the guys were having, laughing all the time, goofing around, running around and enjoying the energy coming from the audience. The entire stadium flawlessly sung Du hast and Sonne, it really chilled us to the bones, hearing so many people sing in unison. And the same thing can be said about Engel – while the guys were moving to the B stage, the camera was pointed at the audience and guess who had her face shown to the entire arena – I diiiiiiid. They took shots of all different people and before you knew it, the sign to use your phone’s light appeared and everyone was singing their heart out. Really magical. The guys then returned on their boats and our partying with Paul continued. We were doing the fucking Macarena in front of Paul, making him laugh.

Also holy shit I think it was during Du hast Paul stood in front of us, hand nothing to do so he started FLOSSING. You know, that weird-ass dance. Or rather attempted it and then frowned, waved his hand in dismiss and then continued to dance his own little dances.

Rammstein and Ich Will took our breaths away, especially when Till spoke in Czech – ruce nahoru! – and the arena went nuts. A beautiful ending, Till once again used his Czech, charmed us with his thank yous and the guys disappeared into the tower. Also, I almost caught Schneider’s stick, he noticed my screaming and jumping and threw it my way, but a dude next to me had longer hands. Oh well. That was not the end of the day for me. I once again asked one of the security guys where to go, said goodbyes to the girls and went my own way to the Afterparty.

The Afterparty

There was quite a number of us people and even before the stadium emptied, we were ushered into a room with red lights, a bar, a DJ set and couches and chairs by the walls. I was feeling kinda weird as I didn’t know anybody in there so I just shuffled to the first group that was speaking Czech. Luckily, I befriended a girl, Camie, who was also in the Afterparty for the first time and as I found out, loves Paul just as much I do. We got some mojitos, the barman was happy to hear Czech lol, and we kinda stood there together talking about the concert – in like half an hour Paul was the first one to come out of doors that were curtained and lead to their dressing rooms. It was discouraged to follow them around, you were supposed to enjoy the free booze, the music and if you were lucky enough, one of the guys would start to chat with you. So Paul moved from one place to another, greeting people and talking to them. Then came Schneider and spend some time talking by the dressing room doors, talking to one of the girls I chatted with too.

While that happened we saw Flake emerge together with Ollie and holy shit, even when they’re both really tall, it’s so easy to overlook them. I think that Ollie immediately went back to the hotel while Flake hanged around for a bit and then also kinda disappeared. We were both freaking out, because holy shit, they’re suddenly so freaking close asjdhhkjasbdkjsad. Till then walked out as well and together with his body guard made a beeline to the exit. He looked like a fucking mob boss, in a dress shirt, suit and a cap. I think he had kinda different plans, as I saw somewhere a pic with him and couple of girls, that were supposedly pole dancers. ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

And then the diva walked out. Richard was basically wearing the same clothes he was wearing during the Berlin aftershow, where he was dancing with Khira. He got immediately swarmed by girls, either asking for a signature or for a hug (pics weren’t allowed). We used the situation as well and joined the group, waiting for our turn. Richard was so kind, he was smiling the entire time, laughing, and generally being really friendly. When I asked him for a hug he was like “Sure! :D” and laughed and his hug was so warm and my heart melted. He was also so much smaller than I expected. It might have been also because I was still wearing my steel boots while he had his worn out pair of converse shoes lol. Nonetheless, he was really charming and welcoming.

We then moved in front of the DJ set, with new drinks and danced for a bit – Joe was mixing the songs and it was all really good, he played anything from Depeche Mode and Joan Jett to Billie Eilish and Britney Spears. (I wanted to make a short vid of us dancing later but Joe immediately told me not to do that and wanted me to delete the vid lmao, which I did. I just found it hilarious that we were dancing to Dschinghis Khan’s Moskau jsahajsfka).

We then took a break for a while and discovered that Paul was just next to us, talking to some people. We joined the circle and me and Camie took a vid of us hugging Paul. I talked to him for a bit, thanked him for the show, telling him how much I enjoyed it and that it couldn’t have been better. He smiled that adorable smile of his and offered me his hand so I took it and before I knew what’s going on he raised it and kissed it. Then he hugged me and thanked me as well. He is also so so tiny ksjaflshfkskfa. And because Paul’s attention span is non-existent, he was already turning to other people to talk to them. We were both freaking out, Camie shook me by my shoulders in joy, not realizing she was pushing me accidentally into Schneider’s back. We then went for more drinks, the poor barman was almost out of alcohol, so he tried to mix up anything drinkable lol.

We talked for a bit, saw Richard hanging by the doors into the arena – if someone wanted to smoke they had to go out, it made sense he’s going to be there. I told Camie that I’d like to talk to him but before I could come with anything sensible she was already pushing me towards him. We stopped by him and I just started to babble about how I like his work, that especially the last Emigrate album was great. He put his hand onto his heart and kept thanking me, doing these tiny bows and looking absolutely adorable/hot. I also mentioned that Brig was at the 1,2,3,4 video shoot and that it was really great and he just kept smiling, thanking and being happy in general. Then other people came to talk to him so we left them alone, going to relax a bit.

We could see that only Paul and Richard remained, although more and more people were dancing. We joined them and danced our hearts out, loving every song that Joe played. Not soon after Paul got up from the couches and joined the dancing group, dancing there with us. It was so surreal – he was dancing right next to me, being his little energetic self and also trying not to spill his wine. We kept dancing there for some time and Paul then slowly moved through the groups, dancing around till we lost sight of him.

I had to check if there were any trams going back to my flat as it was already after midnight. We danced for a bit longer but some drunk guy was trying to get our numbers and kept inviting us to him so we tried to distance ourselves. We also discovered that Paul had already left as there were not so many people – there could have been like 70(?) of us, now probably not even half. Richard was still there, though he was again talking to some girls. I was already getting tired and didn’t want to wait for another hour for the trams so in a hurry I said goodbye to Camie, looked around for the last time and left the afterparty. And because I was an idiot (and drunk) I fucked up my night trams and in the middle of nowhere, with dead phone I had to go to the nearest opened pub and asked for a taxi. I returned home around 2am and barely had any strength left.

The Second Concert and the Meet and Greet

Since I had the meet and greet event I did not have to wake up early – Bára left in the morning to wait with the rest of the girls again for the first row and I had a chance to sleep in till 4pm and get rid of the hangover. I asked the girls to write down everything that happened in the first row again, because apparently, it was wilder than the first time – just seeing Bára “pick her nose” in the gigantic screen while Lucy was facepalming made me laugh so hard. They returned with with drumsticks and a pink hat signed by Paul. And supposedly simulated sex with glow sticks during Pussy, making Paul lose his shit.

The Meet And Greet

For a month or so I was in a group chat with the other people that were also attending the M&G and we agreed to meet a bit earlier to finally meet each other. I wanted to stop at the merch-truck but the queue was so fucking long I left it be (I just hope they’ll put the shirts into the rammshop like they did last time). We all met, chatted for a bit – there were people from all over Europe – from Germany, Poland, Sweden, Holland, Italy, Russia – I was actually the only Czech there lol.

We were picked up around 18:50 by the guy who was responsible for us, he checked our IDs and then took us through the VIP zone down the stairs to the same room where the afterparty was the day before. We had to wait for a bit as there were some other guest meeting the guys who were then escorted up the stairs. Thee guys apparently received Gold for the 7th album. Also one of the guys that was taking care of us told us that one of the grannies living nearby the arena called the fire department, thinking it was on fire lmao.

Anyway, after like ten minutes, we were let in and stood in a row against the wall where a couple of hours before I was dancing my head off. There was a woman that was telling us how it’s all going to happen, that the members will have pens, will sign one item and can take a pic. She couldn’t even finish her sentence and Richard already walked in, in his full stage outfit, took some pens from her and moved to one side of the line. She said something like “Ah, here is the first one.” And Richard, nonchalantly replied “I’m always the first one.” while beginning to sign stuff. What an experience. It got a bit chaotic then because the rest of the guys suddenly appeared too and stared signing stuff from the other side.

Before Richard could get to me, Oliver singed all of our stuff and apologized that he’s not taking any pics today as he is in hurry. I did not understand at first but then I realized he was the only one who was not in a stage outfit and they were supposed to play in like a half an hour. Then came Richard, now much taller with his boots and signed my album. Joe was again with him and because I did not really want to have selfies with the guys I asked him to take the pic. He did, just as he did it to other people as well.

Then came Flake in his glorious golden outfit, smiling and being friendly. A girl on my left complimented his outfit, pointing to her silver top, telling he inspired her. It was so cute seeing him thanking her and complimenting her outfit just as well. I greeted him, thanked him for the show, took a picture with and wanted to also thank him for all the books he wrote, though there was already a queue forming – Schneider was right behind him, so he had to move forward.

Let me tell you, Schneider is such a sweetheart. While he was getting ready to sing my stuff I told him how I started drumming because of him and how it helped me to deal with stuff and he immediately started grinning and going “Aawww, thank you so much, that is wonderful!” and was smiling like an idiot, just as me. There was nobody free to take a picture so with him I took a selfie – even when I tried to stay cool my hands were shaking a bit and he was patient enough to take a proper pic. Than he thanked me once again and moved forward.

PAUL. Paul, baby, I love you so much. Again a very cheery Hi! And that wonderful smile of his. When he was about to sign the album I asked him if he could draw that smiley face he does and he laughed and said “Sure!” and drew the prettiest self-portrait ever. It was so surreal to watch him draw it, focusing hard on it to make it perfect. He did a couple of re-touches until he was satisfied with it and then proudly smiled as he observed his creation. I asked the girl next to me for a pic. Her hands were shaking quite a bit so when she took the pictures, Paul was concerned with the results. “Are the pictures okay?” He asked as he looked down into my phone. “Are they blurry?” So we checked them together and they were fine; again, he was so happy with the result. Meanwhile Till was going from the other side of the line so Paul was stuck next to me so he turned to me and smiled – he pointed to my red crop top and told me: “Oh, we match!” he had the red beanie and red boots on and in that second I died inside. “We both have red!” he said happily and then slowly moved to the girl next to me. The last thing he did was that he looked at me and asked “Alles okay?” I just managed to laugh and told him that “Ja, just perfect.”

He then spent some time with the girl next to me, looking at the pictures she had brought for signing – he was amazed by the quality and took his time looking over them, looking at each individually. He even called Till over to look at them. That’s where I internally cried as my almost non-existent German did not help me. What I could understand was that Till looked at it, telling him that those were pictures from Instagram. Paul asked him where from and they both started discussing the pics and Instagram. It was adorable – Paul was in awe while Till just shrugged and continued signing, taking pictures. Paul signed the main picture she had and then she quickly showed Paul a picture of him, where he was striking a pose with his guitar leaning back. He was overjoyed and immediately copied the pose, leaning back, doing the same pose. He then laughed and signed some pictures and moved on.

Till was the last one to come, he quickly signed my stuff and I let the guy next to me take the picture. I can’t describe the feeling when he put his gigantic paw around me – he really is a bear turned into a human. I also loved how nonchalant he was about the whole M&G. He then moved to the guy next to me and signed his stuff and I was supposed to take the pic. Except I put my phone down onto the ground next to my things and expected him to hand me his phone. “No, take it with yours, it’s better!” so I bent down for it and heard Till laugh and say “Too late!” and moved to the next person. He was of course just joking and when I was ready with the phone he returned and I took the picture.

In another minute or two it was all over, Schneider and Paul told us to enjoy the show, smiled and then again disappeared into the dressing rooms. Us people with the standing tickets were escorted out into the arena and I had a pleasant surprise – on the other side of the doors stood Ulrike, in her beautiful black dress. Holy shit she’s really tall. I wanted to compliment her dress though she was busy herding their sons, it was hilarious. We passed, let her inside and went to find a good spot.

The Second Concert

I stayed with the guy who was next to me during the M&G, nicknamed Probo, who was from Italy. He told me he managed to not spoil himself the concert so it was really precious watching his reactions. We stayed near the B stage, meaning we had a beautiful view of the entire stage and the fire show. It was also nice to see the guys singing Engel and encouraging the crowd to sing as well. Especially Paul did jsahjsfkuftjhchd. Then we had a wonderful view of the guys on the boats – Schneider and Paul tried to stand up but fell down to their knees in a moment while laughing like maniacs. We enjoyed the rest of the show, danced and sung with the crowd. Last nice surprise was that People sang Sonne while the piano version was in the background as the guys kneeled.

Oh and when there was the camera from the backstage, filming the guys as they’re getting into the elevator, there was nobody to give Richard a cigarette, so he just stood in front of the camera, opened his mouth and kept pointing his finger into it till somebody finally came to him and put the cigarette right into his mouth. That was really… something.

okie nobody can deny that our main boy over here is a loud soul, however, he can also carry a damn good beat that compliments his band mates’ music really well. Tbh, he sucked at music to begin with and had trouble matching rhythms and listening to his band mates when they played, however he eventually became a really good rhythm maker.

Sasuke

-Guitar (lead)

He’d be assigned to the same band as Naruto, and that’s how they met. This boy is a damn good guitarist y’all, but has attitude problems™, and used to not be able to deal with Naruto’s haphazard beat making, thus perpetuating a rivalry between the two. He constantly feels overshadowed by his elder brother Itachi, a piano major.

Sakura 

- Dance

Ya girl fucking demolishes every single dance routine. Initially starting out with a focus on ballet (pre-shippuden in canon), our pink headed queen soon realized that she wasn’t getting the full experience of what it meant to dance. Her point shoes were her loves, however they hurt and nipped in places not just physical. She realized that she didn’t want to be pigeonholed into a genre of which she would be inhibited by standard, and rather to dance so as to forget technical perfection. Thus, what would partner with post-shippuden Sakura in canon, Art School AU Sakura got into hip-hop. And bitch, she goes hard. A lot of the other girls who she used to dance ballet with admire her for her absolutely BODYING her dance routines, but also for never sacrificing her femininity to dance and not taking BS for being a girl who goes so hard in a male-dominated genre. (Some people believe that hip-hop is heavy hitting and a little metaphorically “dark” so to speak, which Sakura is not. So obviously I expect a little disagreement regarding this, however if you look at people like Delaney Glazer or Kaycee Rice, that is how Sakura would dance). 

Hinata

- Creative Writing

Shy and bookworm-like, Hinata can write the best poetry, romance and adventure pieces out of all the creative-writing majors. She’s especially good at writing character relationships and development, and has such a subtle sense of intelligent wit in her writing, that if you blinked you would miss it. However should you catch it, you’re sure to chuckle. Her only struggle is that she tends to drag on in important scenes, stretching them against the regular flow of the rest of her writing. Needs validation for her writing through an IV drip.

Kiba

- Drums OR Photography

Drums for obvious reasons (loud and obnoxious), although ruff boi looks good with a camera, too. Great at landscapes and street photography.

Shino

- Creative Writing OR Photography

I could definitely see Shino having fucking beautiful handwriting, and being a beast at writing anything within the sci-fi realm. I could also see him doing some journalism, and writing for the school paper. He’s very good at the logic of his sci-fi books and coming up with logical but enrapturing stories, that intermingle knowledge and mystery. He’s a very specific type of read, however, and may not appeal to all, however if you enjoy anything similar to Star Wars or Hitchhikers guide to the galaxy, then Shino is your author. If this doesn’t float your boat, though, try photography-major Shino. He can get the best angles of bugs he sees, and has an extensive portfolio with entomology-related snapshots.

Ino

- Dance

Like Sakura, she, too, began with a focus on ballet, however began to branch out into contemporary ballet a little later than Sakura. This is another reason why Sakura switched her focuses, as she and Ino had always had a fierce rivalry for dieting (ballet dancers are pressured to be as thin as possible) as well as battling for technical perfection when they were ballet focused. As the two grew, Ino focused more so on contemporary, but can certainly do some hip-hop with Sakura every now and then, just as Sakura occasionally takes a contemporary class with her. The two still have a rivalry, however, just not to the previous extent as when they were actively competing against each other. They’re more like sisters. 

Shikamaru

- Guitar (bass) OR Creative Writing OR Architecture

Smart boy’s a tricky one. He would either be a bassist, a mystery and historical fiction writer, or, of his school offers it, be great at architecture. Idrk.

Choji

- ermmmmm….. maybe graphic design? Tech theatre (props)? Vocal???

Choji is hARD dwnccnpc (that’s what she said). I could see him behind a computer screen, animating and designing games/covers/posters or whatever. He could also do something in theatre, but I don’t think he would do anything up on stage. Something like props would suit him. He might do something in music, tho???? Can he sing???? Help??? 

Tenten

- Dance

Always has been, and always will be a hip-hop dancer. She wanted to be like Tsunade, a legendary dancer and followed in her footsteps, taking up hip-hop. (that’s why Sakura focused on hip-hop, too, because Tsunade mentored her and taught a few of her classes, too). Tenten is fast and can keep up with any beat. Not only is she a great dancer, but she’s also athletic, and does track and field (cross country), football, and softball at another school too, since the arts schools doesn’t offer it. Overall great dancer with styl. She’s really looked up to by some of her underclassmen for her cheery, but badass style and skill.

Lee

- DANCE (hip-hop, too)

Neji

- Violin 

First chair violinist in his freshman year for the school’s philharmonic orchestra. He be extra like that.

He had a lonely childhood with neglectful/abusive parents, and rock music really helped him with that. Emo music is emo and often made fun of, but the songs have messages and Gaara related, so self-taught himself the bass guitar to help cope, and bring him closer to the music that salvaged him.

Temari

- Acting

Girl can make you cry with some of her monologues. Total lead. Has a seriousness in her acting that makes her believable, however can falter on the less-serious roles. She may also double-major in whatever Shikamaru does. And she’s better at it than him.

Itachi

-Piano

Boy could play any etude at age 7. Performed at Carnegie Hall when he was 10. And no, he didn’t pay to play there. The hall invited him. Began composing at 9. Has perfect pitch. Owns international awards. If he’s not at school it’s because he’s traveling to play for crowds. He excels at classical and baroque, however has an ear for romantic, and enjoys playing/composing pieces either written or inspired by romantic pieces. Enjoys Schumann, Debussy, and Tchaikovsky. Hates modern classical music, though. Can only take cinematic pieces composed by people like Williams, however can’t stand Prokofiev at all. He does like modern music, though, so long as it’s outside of the orchestral/classical music realm. He likes R&B. He would have liked to do film with Shisui, particularly producing, however his parents pressure him with piano, so he helps Shisui with student films and projects outside of school (will probably pursue film after graduating, tho).

Some sort of string instrument and takes it very seriously. Probably plays cello because violas are violas and that’s lame (if you know, you know). Has almost as many awards as Itachi and Madara, but hates his usual piano accompanist, Izuna.

Also a piano god. The uchihas breed them. Hates being accompanist for Tobirama. They’re secretly best friends though, don’t tell anyone.

Idk why. Probably started out with props and made her way up to TD (technical director) in senior year.

Used to play cello because of his parents, but loves to play guitar. Can sing but his voice is raspy from smoking.

DWTS S24 W8 - Time for Trios!

I always love the trios. Or well, I love the idea of it. We get to see another pro/troupe dancing, the extra person could add some creative possibilities, and some of my favourite dances from past seasons have been trios.

This time though instead of the couple picking an eliminated pro or troupe member however, they are assigned by the judges. This is kinda shady, and also makes moot another good thing about the trios - seeing the friendships amongst the pros. Think the Wit/Linds or Mark/Derek trios. I like how they utilised so many troupe members though - perhaps it’s also a ‘test’ for them for the producers to gage how they may fare as a pro.

For the regular dances this week, the pros also picked a song to represent their partner (also realistically it also has to be a song that fits a dance style they haven’t done yet).

We get a preview of the Hot Summer Nights tour featuring five couples. Nice number, if the costumes don’t look reused (haha).

Anyway, Julianne is back from Move tour.

Rashad and Emma - Jive Emma picked “Shake a Tail Feather” by Ray Charles. I don’t think his footwork has any problems. Yes he didn’t point his toes but his did point his feet and I don’t really put that under footwork. To me it’s more of like posture...but also not really. There was a moment near the beginning where he seemed to loose his bounce, but it was brief. Very fun, lots of content. The staging didn’t let me see some of the movements all the time. Definitely a joy to watch! 9-9-9-9 T36 Seems fair, but I think in the grand scheme of the night, he should have gotten 1 or 2 more tens.

Normani and Val - Contemporary Val picked “Free”. Also I kinda like her new hair. Normani talked about social media bullying, quite a prevalent issue today. I think this is the first time we actually learnt something about Normani beyond “I always wanted to be a pop singer and now I’m living it with 5H”. I don’t think contemporary was a very good dance to give her since she’s still injured, especially when the injury is in her back. Contemporary (when done right) uses a lot of the core. I liked the concept of this dance, and the costuming was good. There was some nice moves thrown into that dance. And I’m VERY glad that it wasn’t just made of dragging and lifts that many DWTS contemps are made of. I think it could have done with less running around and angsty hair-grabbing-arm-waving though. I gotta disagree with some of the judges’ comments though. Of course Normani has good performance quality. It’s part of her profession. 10-10-10-10 T40

Bonner and Sharna - Argentine Tango Sharna picked “Believer” by Imagine Dragons for Bonner. Bonner mentioned that it’s hard having to keep talking about his injuries etc for the show, and I think that’s a problem DWTS has to keep working on. Now you want to talk about footwork, dear judges? Bonner was kinda stompy and flat footed. Rashad looks like a ten next to that. He had some sharp arm movements where it counted but his intensity didn’t really meet the mood of the song. I’ve come to accept that Bonner’s movements are never gonna be sharp or strong enough for a dance, so there’s that. The ending choreography was very underwhelming. Doesn’t mean it’s good, but it’s just something we have to accept if he sticks around. Len was mean to say he shouldn’t be here this week. Even if there are better dancers who have gone, that’s not something you tell someone outright. 8-7-8-7 T30

Simone and Sasha - Foxtrot LOL it’s okay Sasha, I would react that way if someone told me we were dancing to One Direction, much less that 1D song in particular. It’s so weird a song for a foxtrot. I don’t think Simone wasn’t not authentic unlike CAI - she’s a naturally smiley goofy person. That’s who she is. Anyway it’s a foxtrot. If it’s not graceful and elegant, it’s all happy and smiley. I agree with Julianne though - it was “safe”. A very good dance, but nothing outstanding. What do they mean by “rawness” though. It’s a happy dance. Plus like Simone said, maybe some emotions she’s never experienced before. That’s not more to that to the point that you can be raw. Everyone “awwwwws” at the scores in a disappointed way. 9-9-9-9 T36

David and Lindsay - Viennese Waltz Lindsay chose “Humble and Kind” by Tim McGraw for David. I’ve never heard it, but it’s a very nice song. Really great dance by David! After a couple of goofy and latin dances, it was nice seeing David doing a good proper standard ballroom dance again. Apart from throwing his arms too far back a bit some times, I didn’t see anything around with David’s dancing. He did not loose his frame and knew all his steps. He wasn’t stiff, and the travelling steps were done very smoothly. Dance of the first half of the night!! 9-9-9-9 T36

Rashad, Emma and Witney - Argentine Tango I thought they could have better choreographed the parts between Rashad dancing with Emma and Rashad dancing with Witney besides him just running from one to the other. The lighting was a very good way to complement the story. Okay Len, we get it. His feet aren’t pointed all the way but everyone’s feet are like that. Normani and Simone flex their toes. Bonner’s are stuck at right angles. Why pick on Rashad in particular? Moving on, can someone gif Bruno waving his arms and saying “eVErYWHERE”? I just find it really amusing. 10-9-10-10 T39 Len you party pooper.

Normani, Val and Alan - Jive That truck looks like it’s from Chris Soule’s jive too. “How would you describe your ideal Southern gentleman?” “...Bonner.” Hahahaha. Apart from one particular move where Normani was a bit squatty in her stance (it lasted like, 2 seconds), I didn’t see anything wrong with this dance. No CAI, I don’t think there was a lot of acting in this dance. It was just Normani being happy. Which is what jive is. Len, expectedly, throws a fuss about the country-freestyle section done right on the judges’ table. Was Alan supposed to take his shirt off at the same time as Val and failed to get it off? I thought that was unnecessary. Do all Southern guys always take their shirts off? I thought it was just Bonner’s model thing. 10-9-10-10 T39

Bonner, Sharna and Britt - Jazz Hello, Britt! First season, am I right? She seems like a cute girl. I feel like Bonner really enjoyed this dance because I saw him singing along to the music and looked like he had fun in rehearsals, as with the boy bands group dance (maybe he fares better in group settings). His problem is that he just can’t display and project emotion. Choreo wise it was very very simple, but at least Bonner looked like he knew what the steps were. Nice seeing some hip rolls from him. But it felt more like a music video than a dance, and some music videos have more dancing than that. Set design was very good! Performance wise I thought this was waaayyyyy better and definitely more clean than his first dance and to recognise that, he should have gotten all 8s. 7-7-7-7 T28

Simone, Sasha and Brittany - Paso Doble okay, even if EDM-pasos are a thing now (and it’s not something I’m against), that’s a weird song to pick. Anyway, the silver foil paso skirts are back! Anyone thought the costuming and lighting harkened back to Alfonso’s Turn Down For What? But with way more lasers. I saw some very good shaping from Simone. There was one move where she threw her arm back too much and arched her back a bit. Typical gymnast problems. Overall I thought she held her own with Brittany. Did Bruno fall out of his chair? 9-9-9-9 T36 I thought they should have had one ten.

David, Lindsay and Hayley - Paso Doble not to be outdone by silver foil skirts (that she patented along with Witney), Lindsay has upgraded to gold foil paso skirts. Before they dance though, David gives us a little “brownie points” jig. David definitely had intensity, if he was a little stiff. I was worried he couldn’t fill the grandeur of the music and the set but he did. He lacked shaping, obviously, and was a bit hoppy sometimes when he prepared for the next move. I wouldn’t say it’s “clumsy”, but it did feel a bit heavy. Lindsay cheers so loudly you can still hear her when the camera is wide. 7-7-8-7 T29

Elimination time...Normani is safe, Simone is safe, David is safe. Between Bonner and Rashad, going home is...Bonner. Well he did overstay his welcome, not that Len should have told him outright. Hope he enjoyed himself, because I think he did. It’ll be interesting to see which is the favourite dance he encores during the finale.

Hoooo boy, okay, this is a big one.

I have so many issues with people calling Noorhelm abusive and problematic.  I think a lot of their examples of abuse or problematic issues are completely misinterpreted scenes that they’re skewing to fit their own agenda.  Let’s start at the beginning shall we?

I was listening to 90’s music while I wrote this so every section is named after 90’s song titles, just go along with it.  Also this is like term paper long so if you make it to the end I commend you.

Lovefool, or The Vilde Issue

So a lot of people have a ton of issues toward William’s actions when it comes to Vilde.  So let’s start at the beginning of their interactions.  Here we have William, someone who obviously engages in casual sex with girls he meets, not really starting friendships with them but is respectful to them nonetheless.  Then we have Vilde, someone who is a virgin but is interested in the social climbing that would come with losing her virginity to William.

Vilde made it clear from the start that she was only looking to lose her virginity to William because he was the coolest, most handsome guy in 3rd year.  When talking to Noora and Eva she made it a point to tell them it didn’t matter how well she knew him, he’d be perfect because he’s popular and gives girls orgasms on their first time.  Only afterwards when he was nice and sweet to her during her first time, which is how everyone should act on a one night stand, did she become obsessed.  

Another issue people have is that William didn’t wear a condom when they had sex.  Do I think that it’s incredibly idiotic to not wear a condom, ESPECIALLY if you’re participating in casual sex with multiple partners?  Uh, of course it is.  Like wtf you doing William???  But do I think that that Vilde had the ability to say, “No I only practice safe sex”?  Of course she did!  This idea that Vilde had no control over the situation is a ridiculous notion.  She could’ve just gotten up and left once he said he didn’t have sex with condoms.  She chose to risk it.  It was a stupid choice, but it was HER choice.  Also, people have said Vilde was so drunk she couldn’t walk and I’m like l o l okay girl was like chugging from a wine bottle at the party in the 5th episode, I think she can handle a glass of wine.  She was perfectly in control of her actions & thoughts the entire scene we see her in, and she leaves right after that.

Another issue I see people have is that William treated Vilde like garbage after they had sex, which isn’t true.  When he saw her afterward at school he said hello while passing by.  He didn’t shame her around school, he didn’t talk trash to his friends about her.  He treated her like all the other girls he had casual sex with, which is perfectly fine since there’s nothing wrong with having casual sex, and casual sex was Vilde’s intention in the first place.  I also don’t believe that Vilde’s evolving obsession with William really should have any affect on how William lives his life after their tryst.  If this were the other way around, and William developed obsessive feelings for Vilde, but she didn’t like him romantically, and she kissed another boy at a party, would we really be having this same discussion?

The scene where William tells Vilde she’s not good enough, we have to remember that she approached him with the intent on humiliating him and embarrassing him.  She wanted to gain back her dignity by making him feel small and like an asshole for basically treating her like he treats every other girl he’s been with, which is not hostile, not with disrespect, but like a very casual acquaintance.  I don’t understand why this is an issue, seeing as they don’t actually KNOW one another, and neither of them were interested in getting to know the other beforehand.  The difference between her and the other girls is she’s built this delusion in her head that their time together meant more than either of them intended it to, which, y’know, happens to a lot of people who think they can keep sex casual but can’t.  It’s not really a flaw of Vilde’s, but it’s also not William’s fault she developed these feelings.  This is also not me excusing his remark, because it was a pretty douche move.

Where in the School Yard is Noora Sætre?  (does anyone know this show)

After the “you’re not good enough,” line, we see Noora stand up the way Vilde wanted to and completely destroy William.  Instead of upsetting him though, he immediately becomes interested in this blonde girl who stood up to him in a way nobody else would dare to.

Now we get to the part where people call him a “stalker”, which honestly makes me laugh cause…okay.

Let’s break it down into the times William actually talked to her before she goes on a date with him:

First Scene: Justin Bieber Scene.

Okay, so here we have Eva and Noora sitting on a park bench literally in front of William’s car.  He comes up behind her, asks her to come home and do homework with him (smooth), she laughs and calls him Wilhelm for the first time as a suppression technique she learned from Suits, says she’ll call him an asshole if she can call him whatever she wants, he laughs and then walks to his car to leave.  Like, his car is right there, was he supposed to walk a different way to it?

Second Scene: School Stairwell.

So we’re two for two in the places they meet being at school.  I feel like the antis never went to high school?  You run into the same people a lot in the hallways btw.  So stalking now means walking down the stairs in the common building of your school and running into someone and stopping to talk to them.  Cool.

A lot of people have issue with this scene in general saying that it’s manipulative of him, but throughout this entire scene she’s making fun and laughing (at his expense but whatever).  I see a lot of people misquote what William says as, “To get rid of me you have to go on a date with me,” which is…not what he says lol.  William doesn’t really know Noora at this point, but he can tell when something’s a game, and this is a game.  She’s not demanding he leave her alone, she’s not blocking his number.  She’s smiling and making fun of him, sure, but her challenging nature is what drew him in in the first place.  What he DOES say is, “So If you really wanna get rid of me, just go on a date with me.”  I honestly think if she had said this to him, “Listen asshole, it’s never gonna happen, so leave me the fuck alone,” and walked away that s2 would never have happened.  I think he sees this as a playful game between the two of them, but if she ever truly told him to leave her alone that he would.

Then she asks if that’s all, and he says, “Fucking hell, you’re so beautiful,” and he got this girl Shook™.  The girl who always has something to say is s p e e c h l e s s, smiling and looking at her friend.  We see him not expecting that response, but delighted that it happened.  I think it not only shows to him, but to the audience, that his attention is not unwanted from her.  That him telling her she’s beautiful is a good thing to her, even if for just a moment.  She smiles as she passes by him, lightly bumping into his shoulder, and he says, “Just tell me what I should do!”  To me, all of this is incredibly playful banter.

Let’s get into the next part that I feel is the biggest misconception of their entire relationship:

Can’t Fight the Moonlight, or The Deal + The Date (honestly listen to this song lmfao it’s william to noora)

So while we don’t actually see the deal going down (s1 is from Eva’s POV so unless she’s there we don’t see things happening), we can properly assume that the deal was Noora’s idea.  At the end of their last interaction, he yells out “Just tell me what I should do!”, and then she goes to the school doc and finds out that Vilde just has gas from her weird breakfast of diet coke and gum (????? lmao).  When Noora tells her she knows what Vilde is doing in terms of her eating habits, Vilde brings up the “but not good enough.”  The camera pans to Noora’s face after Vilde leaves, and you can tell her thinking cap was just placed on her head (lol).

A lot of people blame William for Vilde’s slow descent into almost having an eating disorder, but I can let you now as someone who has HAD an eating disorder that that is NOT how that works.  One comment isn’t going to break you like that, especially since eating disorders are based on your own perception not other people’s, as well as consistent pressures put on you (dancers, models, etc).  I had plenty of people telling me I looked awful how thin I was, but it just wasn’t thin enough for ME.  We also never see Vilde eat before the 8th episode, so we have absolutely no idea what her eating habits were like before as a base line.

I see SO many people saying that he forced and manipulated Noora into their first date but…like…are we watching the same show?  A deal was made between the two of them, William had to apologize to Vilde, and then Noora would go on a date with him.  Like I said, we don’t actually see the deal going down, but we can assume Noora was the one who brought up the deal.  Why would William, who we know from their first date thinks that him apologizing to Vilde was a terrible idea, go up to Noora and say, “If you go out on a date with me I’ll apologize,”?  No.  What makes all the sense in the world is if Noora went up to him and told him that if he apologizes to Vilde she will go out on ONE date with him.  He immediately apologizes to Vilde at the Christmas party (I honestly don’t think he really meant what he said to her before, he was just trying to get her to leave him alone), and then the season ends.

Now jump to two and a half MONTHS later, and we’re at the beginning of season 2.  So for the last two and a half months Noora has been evading fulfilling her side of the bargain.  This part is what makes me kinda mad when people talk about William manipulating Noora, when it actually up until this point she was the one who manipulated him.  She had a problem (she wanted to fix Vilde), and she figured out a way to use someone’s feelings and emotions to get her way (even though she should know William apologizing isn’t enough to fix ingrained self-hatred and low self-esteem).  She used William’s feelings toward her to get what she wanted, with no intention of following through with the deal.  That is kinda shitty.

It’s further shown to me to be a game in between the two of them, especially with the “you lose” text at the end.  I honestly think the thing she’s most upset about in that moment is that if they go to a party Vilde is gonna find out and think something is going on between them.  Then at the end of the episode we get him trying to contact Noora, and she keeps ignoring his call.  He then calls Vilde, and all the antis freak out about what an asshole he is for manipulating her.  Once again, they made a deal.  He made good on his side of the deal, and she’s been avoiding hers for two and a half months.  If she really wanted it to be like it was no big deal, she should’ve just gone out with him to make good on the deal, deleted his number, and never talked about it again.  Do I think that using his connection to Vilde to get Noora to finally commit to a date was a little shady?  Sure.  Do I think what she did was shadier?  Yes.

Then we go on the actual date, and she’s resisting everything (which we knew she’d do), and then they finally get to talking after William weirdly talks about his grandma’s blue room (lmao I honestly would’ve said the same thing as Noora).  I honestly think they’re both a little wrong in this moment, but that’s okay.  I feel like he did pressure her some to finally commit to what she promised, but all the drama wouldn’t have happened if she would’ve just committed in the first place.  I understand where he’s coming from in terms of what he said to Vilde, like I still don’t know if I particular agree as I think just like a harsh toned “leave me alone” would’ve sufficed lmao, but I get the idea that no matter what he said would hurt her because of how obsessed she became.

I also completely understand what he’s saying about how Vilde came to HIM, as I’ve stated earlier.  I’ve seen people talk about how he like lead Vilde on and how he never told her they weren’t going to be together, and I’m like when the hell did he say they WOULD be together?  All I can think is people who think that way obviously hold prejudice against people who involve themselves with casual sex, and I think that’s gross.  Sexuality is a personal thing, and as long as the two people are consenting then that’s their business.  Like I said before, Vilde went into that tryst looking for a casual, hot dude to lose her virginity to to get it out of the way in a social climbing way.  More power to her, but you can’t think it’s okay for her to be like that, but it’s not okay for William to have consenting sex with multiple partners.

I think a lot of people misunderstand him when he asks Noora, “Does that make you good?  Does that make you fair?”  The entire scene with Vilde was a call-out scene, with each person intending to humiliate the other person.  Vilde tried to humiliate William, who in turn humiliated her, and Noora finished the job.  All of them had the intent of hurting the other, so what makes Noora’s justified?  Is it okay to hurt someone if it’s justified in righteousness?  As much as we love that call out she does, he’s technically right, it’s not fair for her to feel in the right when all she did is exactly what Vilde and William did.  This is the beginning of him asking why she feels certain ways, and then flipping the script and playing devil’s advocate and making her really think about how she is viewing the situation.

So then after their date, we get the Shook™ slow-mo scene, and then her at his party.  The only thing I can think of that needs to be talked about other than she o b v i o u s l y likes him at this point and is one of the best parts of the entire season is the fact that this is another instance where he’s playing devil’s advocate with her beliefs, trying to make her think in regards to calling his mom a name (which I called my mom like everything under the sun when I was a teenager, I don’t understand this as an issue but okay).

Hey Jealousy, or Sold (The Oslo County Auction Incident) (i’m sorry)

Then we get to episode 5, i. e. where Noora is insanely jealous and is grumpy 24/7.  A lot of people have an issue with the entire premise of him telling her that he’ll donate 20% to the refugees if she just shows up at a party.  There’s no other qualifications, nothing he’s demanding of her.  He simply gives an incentive to just show up to a party she would probably get dragged to by her friends anyways.  Would a perfect person just plan on donating the 20% to refugees without ulterior motives?  Sure.  Is William a perfect person?  No.  Is anyone on this show perfect?  Not in the slightest.

Most of this episode is her struggle with accepting that something’s there between the two of them, and she decides to go with her heart (yay).  Someone said that he was dramatic for leaving the party, but I mean if the person you really, really liked just straight up looked in your eyes and was like, “I don’t like you,” you’d wanna go home too.  Like, why is he supposed to act like it means nothing to him?

Champagne Super-Violence (just let it happen guys I’m not gonna stop)

So let’s talk about violence.

Is it cool that William hit that guy with a champagne bottle?  Maybe not the wisest thing to do.  People seem to have more of an issue with the way he views violence.  This is another instance where both of them are wrong, and that’s okay.  She is seeing things way too idealistic.  To be honest, he’s right, her viewpoint on how to handle someone like a street gang of teenagers is pretty naive.  BUT they should’ve tried the police FIRST.  The moment the gang attacked Chris, Jonas, and that other dude (lol) with KNIVES and beat Jonas bloody, the police should’ve been the first place they went.  

Violence should always be the last resort, but sometimes violence is a necessary evil.  As someone who has Donald Trump as their president, and sees him inflicting serious harm to innocent people with defunding sanctuary cities, building border walls, and laying groundwork for mass deportation, you start to see how our fight for freedom from injustice, bigotry, and hate could turn into one where violence is necessary.  Sometimes sit ins, marches, and chats don’t do what they’re intending to do.

Don’t Speak, or When William Went Radio Silent (all 90’s references yah)

A lot of people like to assume that William’s reaction to Noora after she tells him she doesn’t know if she had sex with his brother is because he blames her for what happened.  I assume people who think this do not know this character, and have never had a moment where everything is so wrong you feel like you want to throw up, die, and punch someone all at the same time.

Let’s backtrack.  Noora, during this whole time, should’ve told William.  She should’ve called him the moment she left his house and told him she blacked out at his house and woke up with his brother.  Word of advice to everyone: JUST TELL PEOPLE THE TRUTH.  Lying does nothing but hurt, both you and the person you’re lying to.  This is of course in perfect person world, and Skam is not perfect person world.  It’s full of real people and real feelings, and when you’ve been sexually assaulted, your world isn’t really even reality.  

Since Noora did not tell William, she did not get control over what he heard, nor did he hear her side of the story first.  We all know that Nico made up some sick af story about what happened, and with his naked picture of Noora as proof, William believes it because it’s his worst nightmare but he’s been expecting his brother to ruin the thing that’s so precious to him.  He’s had a lifetime of dealing with Nico destroying his happiness.  He believed it kinda like how Noora completely believed Nico when he went on and on about how William will never change and he’s cheating on her and he’s super violent because that’s her worst nightmare but she’s also expecting it because it plays up to every insecurity she has.

So when he comes up to her, this is right after he’s been told the nastiest, most wrong story of what’s happened.  When she says I don’t know, we just see him shut down.  It has nothing really to do with Noora or blaming her, but everything to do with him not being able to handle emotional pain.  He doesn’t yell at her, he doesn’t fight with her, he just shuts down and leaves.  Now, is this something that Noora needs right now?  Does he really have Noora’s best interest in mind?  No.  Is it okay to worry about yourself more sometimes when you’re really overwhelmed in a situation and need to take a break from it?  Yes.  

Y’all act like he’s supposed to be this super robot who is the perfect person with all the right moves and all the right decisions.  This ain’t the movie Her guys!!  Like, he wasn’t CREATED for her, he is a PERSON.

So many people talk about how she told him in text that it was assault and he STILL didn’t respond, but I don’t think he was kidding that his phone died while it was there, and he probably didn’t want to talk to anyone anyway.  Eva said that even Chris couldn’t get ahold of him.

When he comes back and is super cold, this is once again NOT him blaming her.  He actually never once says he blames her for what happened, or says anything to that nature, so when people say he’s a victim blamer I’m like lol what.  In the 12th episode he apologizes to her for what his brother did to her, and even when she says it wasn’t his fault, his facial expression tells all of us that he blames HIMSELF for what happened to her.

If you read the additional texts, Sana & Vilde hit the nail right on the head when they say he’s not mad at her, he’s shut down (lmfao the humanity switch).  He’s turned his emotions off and has decided that the pain of being without her is easier to deal with than the pain she could cause him.

When they meet up by Chris’ car, he’s still like this in the beginning, but once she starts talking, you can see his indecision.  You can see him fighting with himself, trying to remain stoic and aloof and failing.  It’s very much reminiscent to Noora in the 5th episode.  She’s trying to remain unaffected, but she’s as lost in him and he is in her at the end of the 11th episode.  What she’s talking about is this exterior that he presents to the world, this asshole facade that stops people from getting in and stops him from getting hurt.  She knows who he is, she knows he’s better than this, and she knows he loves her.  She just knows what it’s like to have that fight within yourself, to let yourself run the risk of being hurt to gain the benefits of being loved by someone.

I have talked about this e x t e n s i v e l y in my tags, but a lot of people take issue with them moving in together and I think it’s completely understandable them taking this next step so quickly.  They’re both two people from broken homes.  They’ve relied on themselves for pretty much everything for a long, long time.  Neither of them felt love in their home lives, and both have been severely neglected by their parents.  It makes sense that these two people, once they find someone they love and trust, would latch on so strongly and so quickly.  Not only do they crave the connection and attention from that person, they also crave someone who understands them.  I have a feeling that neither one of them has felt understood in a very long time.

I could go on and on about this topic forever, but if you wanna know more go scour my crying on every single noorhelm post lmfao.  In those I also pretty much talk about how William is my soft, sensitive child which he IS.

So this is the end of my thesis on their relationship and how it’s not perfect, but it’s not “abusive” or “problematic”.  I hate the term problematic because everyone is problematic.  Like it’s a word that just encompasses human beings as a species.  We ALL make mistakes.  We ALL learn from them.  This relationship isn’t abusive by any right.  It’s a REAL relationship with REAL people who have both been hurt over and over again in their lives and finally found someone to call home.

s3 is not canon to me and does not exist so I will not talk about it :)
