I see the whole "Copia is such an innocent baby virgin" thing a lot, based on his neurodivergent and awkward traits.
But I also am seeing a lot of people say "Copia is absolutely not an innocent virgin, I don't understand why people keep saying he's autistic."
Both of these statements infantilise autistic people and it's getting a little frustrating, as someone who is autistic.
Copia exhibits both autistic traits AND is very very likely sexually active. Being autistic and having weird interests does not make you incapable, I'm surprised that I'm seeing so much of this.

Thank you so much to everyone who likes and reblogs, your feedback is appreciated 🤍 and I'm taking requests so if you have any ideas or concepts you want to share, feel free to do so as I'll try to get to them the best I can!

"I'm just saying, it's closer that way. We can go and get the packages ourselves and sort out any issues with them straight away", Lando reasoned, opening his text message app so he could continue what he wanted to do. "Okay, fine by me. He's got a point, Y/N", Max raised his hands in surrender, looking at you for your opinion.
Working for Quadrant hadn't been a goal you had set out to accomplish in the strict sense of it. You didn't see yourself working for a massive company where people were stuffed in offices where the only way they could know their colleagues' names was when they had online meetings that took far too long and discussed the baseline of the issues. So, when you saw the job offer for someone in the Graphic Design area of work, you looked up the company name and saw their work, fascinated with how the guys had grown this business from streaming online gaming. Later, as you progressed in the recruitment process, you came to learn that Lando and Max also had a more public presence than you had initially figured out, despite all of your friends' insistence that "you can't be that clueless, Y/N, how did you not know that Quadrant was Lando Norris'? I thought you applied because of that", they would say as you shrugged your shoulders, "in this economy, do you think I am that picky about a job? I have my preferences, sure, but I know what I'm worth and I saw the offer was actually quite okay!", you defended yourself.
You ended up getting the spot and, so far, you couldn't complain. Most of the time you worked with Callum, Max and Tara, since your work overlapped with theirs, and every now and again, like right now, Lando would also meet up with you.
"Are you sure it's fine if I go? Your parents know Max, but they haven't met me before. Are you sure they won't find it weird?", you spoke directly to Lando, thinking that his idea, as lovely and kind as it was, didn't account for the facts you were stating.
"Max is coming because he's from the team, and you're from the team, too, so you're coming with us as well", Lando said simply, not seeing the problem.
"But he's been your friend for so long now, I'm a Quadrant Team member", you attempted again, "they don't have to provide for and give a roof to a stranger, I'll find an hotel to spend the night", you offered, wanting to be clear about it.
"You're part of the team, too! Don't worry about that, okay?", Lando said, "besides, mum loves having a full house, she's definitely the host of the family", he smiled, checking the item on his list nd carrying on the meeting.
"When we're there, we'll be able to get our hands on the embroidered Originals collection", Max began, "hopefully they're perfect and we can start working on the website", he gestured as you turned your laptop so they both could see, "this is the concept I've come up with, since this isn't as flashy or as colourful as past collections", you showed them the mood board, looking for disapproval signs but being met with looks of surprise instead, "I know it's not usually what you go for, so I also have another idea here, if you just let m-", you were about to change when Lando slapped your hand away from the mouse and holding it in his, "I really like this one, especially these posts here, I think the ideas are great!", he noted as he set your hand down on the table, "okay, then I can keep working on this", you said, closing the other tab, "do you have something better than this?", Max asked, "seems as good to me!", he offered.
"This is just a draft, I'll invest more time in this and I'll have it ready for the end of the week. That way we can have it ready when the clothes arrive. I'll text Tara to ler her know", you smiled, grabbing your phone as the boys flickered through the ideas, pointing out the different details they liked and wanted to keep.
.
"I'm way too young for my life to be just this, so please drive safely, Max", you said, buckling your seatbelt and exaggerating your hold on the door handle, "if you weren't such a crucial part of this team, I'd make you reconsider your jokes", he teased back, reversing out of the parking space and initiating the trip.
Lando was already at his parents' house since they had a family gathering the day before, so you and Max were driving up to meet him, "they're really nice people, really chilled as well", Max began, "Adam and Cisca, that is. I can hear you thinking and I'm assuming that is what's going on in your head", he stated.
"I don't want to step on anyone's toes, and I don't want to embarrass anyone or myself even. Can you imagine Lando's parents finding out their son's company has questionable employees? They'll mark me off as some sort of strategy fool or think that I want to take this company down, and I don't!", you uttered out, sharing more than you meant to.
Impostor's Syndrome was a bitch, and it often showed up the moment things got progressively harder, and while you knew you were able to deal with it, the little voice still nagged you.
"Y/N, you're one of the most valuable people we have on the team, and I don't say that lightly. This is Lando's baby, and yes, he's the face of it and that counts for most of it, but the work behind it is just as important and with the numbers we're having, it all comes down to you. Since you joined us the designing aspect of it, - obviously, you wouldn't be the one responsible for accounting, duh -, the compliments have been non stop, it has improved the interactions, too!", he said honestly, "you have nothing to worry about, truly", he comforted, "it's this exit here", he mumbled, checking the GPS and turning on the blinker, slowing down the car as they entered the city.
You didn't have to wait long before he pulled up to a big house, the gravel sound quieting down until it came to a halt when Max stopped the car, "Lando said he'd meet us at the door, I really don't fancy being mistaken by a burglar", he joked, getting out of the car as you did the same, stretching your legs and taking in the sight.
"Max, Y/N! Did you have a good trip?", Lando made himself be heard and seen, walking up to you and grabbing the bags his friend was taking out of the car boot, "I'll take these", he offered, picking up your luggage as you pulled on your backpack, "thanks", you smiled, following him as he led the way into his parents' house.
"My parents are in the kitchen", the Formula One driver said, ushering you to the roomy space after he and Max dropped the bags by the stairs, "Max, dear! We haven't seen you in so long, how are you?", a beautiful woman said. Her hair was brown and her skin was tanned as she hugged Max and Lando, "this is Y/N, she is our graphic designer", he presented you, the older man hugging you and his wife doing the same, "I'm Adam, it's so nice to finally meet you", he smiled warmly, "likewise", you smiled back.
"You can call me Cisca, darling. We've heard so much about you, it's nice to finally put a face to the name", she winked at you as you didn't miss Lando elbowing his mother as he closed his eyes, sighing at her, "thank you for having me over, I hope it's not too much trouble", you thanked again, feeling more at ease at their genuine welcoming greetings.
Lando quickly scrambled an answer, seemingly not wanting his parents to talk, "of course it's fine, no trouble here! Let's get your things upstairs so we can settle in and work!", he clapped his hands, walking to the corridor and up the stairs with Max as you excused yourself.
"This is your room, you have the bathroom on the next door", he pointed on the corridor after he placed your bag and backpack down in the small sofa, "Max is in the office, it's just across the hall and I'm at the end of the hall, if you need anything", Lando offered.
"Thanks, again. Do you guys want to begin now? I just need to put on some fluffy socks and I'm good to go", you said, "yes! Is the dining room okay with your parents? The table is big enough to layout everyhting", Max chirped in, whistling at your room as he looked around, "she got an upgrade, good move!", he tapped his friend's back.
After Lando cleared it with his parents, he was quick to remove the table runner and flower vase from the dining room table, extending it to its biggest size so you had all the space you needed, "you can sit here, Y/N, it's usually where the room heats up faster", he pointed out the radiator, pulling up the chair next to your and typing on his iPad.
"So this is the video idea? I like it, we just need to find some background music for it", Max asserted, grabbing his phone to check the time, "we should get going to pick up the order", he uttered.
"Do you need all of us to go?", you asked, saying the changes in your laptop as you did,
"You can pull your the backseats of your car down, can't you, Max? That way we can bring more boxes, and you and me go", Lando reasoned, looking over at you, "do you mind staying here while we go get them?", he asked, not wanting you to feel uncomfortable.
"I'll be fine, you go", you smiled, opening your notebook and writing down some notes.
"Oh, darling, you could've turned the lights on. Soon enough you'll be like me and need glasses", Cisca said as she stood on by the door, flickering the lights on as your eyes got used to the brightness, "I already wear them, or I should more often anyway", you blushed, suddenly getting caught with your hand in the cookie jar, grabbing your case from your backpack and putting them on.
When Lando and Max left, you decided to work on the website graphics, checking how the campaign would work with the current layout, that you lost track of time.
"May I see what you're working on?", she asked, "it's okay if I may not, I don't want to intrude", she smiled as you pulled up the chair next to you, "I don't know much about these things, but I always get quite fascinated with this part", she said, sitting down and looking at the screen.
Already driving back home, Lando and Max talked about the plans once they arrived, "and that way Y/N can also finish the social media stuff, and maybe you'll have more time to actually make a move on her", he teased.
Lando scoffed, "I'm not trying to make a move on her", he defended himself, "I'm glad to know, because if those moves were what you had, it wouldn't surprise it that it didn't go very far", Max yelped as his friend took the opportunity of the straight road ahead to hit his thigh, "so that's what you talk about? Here I am thinking about business and you're meddling in my love life?".
"I never said it was love life, but since you've admitted it, it's saving me time. So, what are you planning? I could help since this seems to be stalled", Max tried again, holding his hands in protection of his body in case Lando hit him again.
"I wouldn't know where to begin, I mean, it will make things awkward if this goes south, right? I'd never be able to look at her again, much less work with her", Lando admitted, "She's very kept to herself as well, I highly doubt that she'll want to be involved with me in that way. Whoever I date or interact with has to deal with enormous amount of public eye and I wouldn't spring that up on her", Lando mumbled, taking the road exit on his left.
"So you've given this some thought, too. Here we are thinking you're coming to the meetings to help and now you're just blushing when we talk about Y/N", Max joked back as Lando shook his head.
"We're back!", Lando announced, walking inside the dining room while pushing the boxes with Max, "don't worry, mum, we're not scratching the floors", he said, sweetly kissing the side of her head, "are you planning to work for us?", he noticed she was sitting next to you, notebooks of the projects open and sheets and fabrics all over the table in front of you.
"Y/N was kindly showing me the project you're working on, for the launch, and it looks really nice!", she complimented, placing a hand on your shoulder and the other on your arm, "she's been showing me everything, I've probably stolen some valuable time from you, darling, I'm sorry", she slumped her shoulders slightly, "not at all, it's all under way, don't worry", you smiled, easing her worries, "I'll leave you guys to it, how about I make some tea?", she suggest as the three of you nodded.
"We have the boxes here, they're sorted by colours", Lando opened the first box, "these are only for the Originals collection, right?", you checked over, peaking at the blue hoodie he pulled out.
"The sizing is right, right?", Max wondered as Lando stretched it out, "Y/N, can you try these, please? We need to check if the model is good for guys and girls".
Getting up from your spot, you grabbed the vibrant blue piece, feeling its soft texture against your fingertips, "I have wider hips that average, I'm not sure I'm the greatest test model for that", you shrugged your shoulders, "keep that in mind". Taking off your sweater so your torso was covered in a strappy top, you pulled the new garment on, adjusting the strings around the neck so you could pull it all the way down, "Oh, it's so soft", you noticed, "and warm, too. And feels quite good actually, it's not too tight", fumbling with the ribbed material on the bottom as you checked yourself out on the windows now that it was dark outside.
Lando gulped as you did so. Oh, had Lando noticed your hips. To anyone else, it would be another feature of your body, but he was enamoured by them. Your body's curvy outline enticed him and he would be lying if he said that it wasn't the first thing he noticed at first glance when you arrived for you last interview, especially with the tapered pants you had been wearing.
"Looks nice. What do you think, mate?", Max turned to Lando, hoping to get an answer but finding him looking at you, "is there something wrong? I told you I'm not the best mo-".
"It's gorgeous, looks gorgeous", he breathed out just as his mother walked inside carrying a tray with tea and some biscuits, "Here's the tea, guys", she said, setting it on the table, "wow, that's a very nice piece!", she complimented.
"It is, isn't it, Cisca?", Max said, covering up her son as he kept looking at you as you tested the front pocket, not noticing his gaze on you.
"You also have a very beautiful model, you can't ignore that factor in the equation", she complimented you while you grabbed a mug, taking a sip of the warm liquid and hoping it hid your pink cheeks, "thank you", you whispered.
While Lando helped his father with dinner, Max convinced his mother to show you both family albums, and once you had the delicious food they prepared, you excused yourself so you could use the shower, wanting to wash the day of travelling away. Max and Cisca stayed in the living room while Lando helped his father prepare dessert, checking on the apple crumble in the oven so it could get golden brown and not burnt, "so, any life updates recently?", the older man asked.
Lando wasn't around as much as they both would've liked, so often times his visits also came along with news and updates, "not much, racing has been good, it's nice to have a break now, even if it's just two weeks", he offered, looking at the oven.
"And nothing else? I mean, no one special? Your mother is usually the blunt one, but I'm going to try it myself: Y/N is just a Quadrant Team Member?", Adam questioned, noticing his son's cheeks become redder.
"Is it that noticeable? I just hope she doesn't see it as much as you do", Lando groaned, rubbing his cheeks, "maybe you should hope she notices, you know? Maybe she'll admit she likes you, too. You never know", Adam patted his son's back, grabbing the gloves so he could take the tray out of the oven, "she seems like a really nice girl, kind, good work ethic, intelligent, and she's beautiful", he finished as his son sighed, grabbing the vanilla ice cream from the freezer, "she's all of that and so much more".
.
"Kygo is doing a set tonight", you heard Max say as you walked inside the living room, taking the spot on the sofa next to Lando since his mother had taken your previous spot when you went to use the bathroom, "I've been meaning to ask you guys if you wanted to go, actually. He texted me saying to tell him if we were planning on going", Lando stated.
"Go and enjoy being young, life is not all about work if you can't enjoy yourself", Cisca shared, "dad and I won't complain if you make noise when you get back", she winked.
"Would you like to go, Y/N? You can say no, that's fine, too", Lando turned to you. He knew Max would be down on a heartbeat, but he didn't want you to feel pressured to do something you didn't want to because you were at his parents' place as a guest.
"I'm good, I like his music, too. I've been wanting to see him live for a bit, actually", you smiled, thinking about how lucky you were to be able to have these experiences because of your job and friends.
Later that night, you're getting ready in your room, sitting on the carpeted floor and applying your make-up for the occasion. The dressier outfit you had brought with you consisted of a burnt red top and some pants as it had become the outfit you had felt the most comfortable and confident in to go out. The top complimented your chest and your midsection as your pants looked really good around your hips and butt, your legs elongated by the small heeled shoes you had spent years looking for. They were comfortable, pretty and functional, ticking all the boxes for what you needed for tonight.
"Y/N, can I come in?", your heard Lando knock on the door, welcoming himself when you said he could, "we are leaving in about ten minutes, if that's okay", he said, taking a good look at you as you fiddled with your earring, "yes, fine by me", you smiled looking back in the mirror propped on the bedside table and finally clasping it, looking back at him.
You took his breath away. It was as simple as that. Your hair had your natural curls he loved so much, your makeup complimented your naturally soft beautiful features and your outfit made you look incredible.
"You guys ready?", Max patted the door, propping himself on it as you grabbed your shoes, "I'll put them on downstairs", you said, carrying them in your right hand as you had your small purse on the left.
While you did the small, dainty tie on your shoes, Lando's eyes went straight for your chest, the slightly bent down position granting him an agonisingly teasing angle as he tried his best to look away, "you might want to be less obvious, you don't need to creep her out to get her to be yours", Max whispered in Lando's ear.
As soon as you arrived, Lando and Max walked with you to the VIP area, asking you what you wanted to drink before they went up to get it.
Lando looked great on his white shirt, the light coloured shirt looking great against his tanned skin as the relaxed fit complimented his back, prompting you to make sure you weren't drooling in public. You worked for his company, it would never be a good idea to get romantically involved with him, no matter how many times your heart leaped.
"A very weak Gin and Tonic for you, as requested", Max said as he pushed the cup towards you, carrying nother drink for himself, Lando sitting next to you on the booth and empty handed, "you're not drinking?", you asked, "I'm driving us all home today, I'm want to do it safely", he stated, tapping his hands on the table when he saw Kygo, signalling him to approach you.
"Hey Lando, Max", he smiled, "I'm Y/N, I work for Quadrant", you smiled, greeting him with a half hug as he introduced himself too, "my set is in a few minutes, you got here just in time. If you want to see it up close, Y/N, let me know and I'll make it happen", he winked at you.
The wink was not missed by Lando or Max. While Max wanted to laugh at his friend's jealous expression, threatening to send the norwegian DJ to a place that was less than nice and sunny, Lando couldn't believe his eyes. Yes, it was only fair that others, too, saw your beauty and noticed you, but to put themselves out like that, that was a different story. You didn't seem to bothered by all of it, sipping on your drink as you spoke to Max, pointing out different people you remember from Silverstone earlier that year.
"Kygo's starting, I want to dance!", you said, getting up and gesturing for the boys to join you. While you were used to having a lot less space to dance in, the welcomed freedom was appreciated as you playfully placed your pointer finger on Max's head, making him do a little spin, "now, no need to be jealous, Lando, you can twirl, too!", you yelled over the music blasting from the speakers, doing the same and sinking your finger on Lando's curls.
"I'm going to get another drink, want anything?", Max asked, excusing himself when you shook your head, "you know you can drink, I'm the designated driver", Lando offered, "I know, thank you for that. I just don't want to drink more", you smiled, recognising the next song, feeling brave and pulling Lando by his hand so he could dance with you.
I never knew anybody 'til I knew you
I never knew anybody 'til I knew you
And I know when it rains, oh, it pours
And I know I was born to be yours
Lando twirled you would face him, chest flush against his as his colourful eyes looked into yours intensely, "I know this is very forward, and very unlike me to be fair, but I need to get it out", he gulped as he spoke loudly in your ear, looking for any sign of discomfort from you, "I really like you, like, a lot. And I would like to know if you feel the same. Because Max and my parents seem to think you do, but all I know they're just saying so that I shut up about how much I love you and how much it would mean to me", he spoke loudly against your ear as the song played.
You were struck by his confession, not expecting it to ever happen, much less like this and in these circumstances.
"If you consider this a hostile work environment, I didn't want that, but I had to be honest with you", he gulped, "just say you don't feel the same and I'll drop the subject, okay? I might have to pretend to go somewhere else so I can be away from you a bit until things are not awkward, but don't worry, I won't drink because I'm driving and-", Lando belted out before you interrupted him, moving your face closer to his neck this time and speaking into his ear, "It's not hostile if it's consensual, right?", you smiled, a glint in your eye as his own widened, chuckling as he sang the the words in your ear, taking the opportunity to kiss your cheek near your earlobe.
"Took you two fucking long enough!", Max yelled as he approached you, tapping Lando's back in congratulations, "you know what this means, Y/N? I won't have to listen to him mope about how he thinks he was made for you and you were made for him, and that the universe would have to be playing a very bad joke of you two didn't end up together!".
"What makes you think I'll stop that? I just got the girl of my dreams, now I'll have the confirmations of all I've said! You'll just hear how amazing all of it is!", Lando smiled, hugging you close to him and kissing the top of your head.

Notes on therapist selection
(From someone who is getting a good grade in Having a Therapist, something that is both normal to want and possible to achieve)
Some friends were discussing their work to find a therapist today, and I noticed some unspoken assumptions that can sometimes get in the way of finding someone who's a good fit for your recovery needs, especially around deciding what specializations to look for when no one covers the full range of your crazy. So a list of things to think about that -- as always -- may or may not be useful to anyone except me.
1) On overlapping specializations Anyone who specializes in ADHD or Autism will also have experience dealing with trauma, because every school system I've ever encountered has been traumatizing for NDs. They may or may not call it trauma in their own minds, but they know how to handle "a bad thing happened in my past and it's fucking up my present" problems.
Likewise, everyone who specializes in trauma has experience with anxiety. PTSD was, until 2013, classified as an anxiety disorder. DSM-V puts it in its own category for presumably good reasons, but everyone with PTSD has anxiety (or close enough that you can't specialize in trauma without knowing how to deal with anxiety).
That said ... 2) On picking your therapist based on vibes
Vibes are really more important than specialization. Specialization is important if, like, you have one (1) specific problem and you are looking for a solution for that problem. Like, if your life is fine except that you have ADHD and the executive dysfunction is causing you to be unable to write English essays, then you definitely want an ADHD specialist. But if your opening session is going to be
Therapist: So what brings you in? Me: Well! -straightens lapels- -pulls out easel- -pulls out prepared presentation notes- I have a list
Or
Therapist: So what brings you in? What changes are you looking to make? Me: This -gestures- Therapist: You just pointed to all of you Me: Yes.
then any generic psychologist is as good as any other. You got shit in your head and you gotta detangle it and it's all snarled together anyway, so it's a lot more important that you find someone who you're willing to be working with for years.
3) On finding "the one"
Odds are really really good that you're gonna have more than one therapist in your recovery arc. I did 2 years with one who specialized in psychological impacts on physical health, and it did so. much. for me, and I don't regret it for a moment, but also ... I reached a point where that wasn't the specialization I needed anymore, and also the shit in my head I needed to deal with was the kind of shit that (for trauma reasons) I couldn't talk about to someone in that therapist's demographic. So I left that practice, and found my current therapist.
My current therapist is great, and I'm really glad I'm working with him, but it's entirely possible that he's not going to be able to sort out this entire mess. We may reach a point where his specialties of relationships and adhd are not my bottlenecks any more, and he doesn't really have the tools he needs to handle what my next bottleneck is, and I'll go find someone else who can meet my needs at that time. This is normal and expected, and it's entirely fine to plan on it by (for example) deciding that you want a specialist in this thing right now, and you'll go find a specialist in this other thing later.
4) On Shopping
It's entirely reasonable to have more than one therapist this week. You are in no way expected or required to pick a single therapist based off of some profile pictures, a bio on the website, and a phone call, and then you're stuck with them forever. It is normal and understood that you will set up appointments with half a dozen therapists, and then pick two (or three) to do another session with, before settling into a single choice. Or don't! If you like two therapists for different reasons, and you'd rather work with them simultaneously instead of serially, then feel free to schedule with twice as many therapists, half as often. This ain't a wedding; you don't have to restrict yourself to only one.
Narrow down your choices as quickly as you want to based on your anxiety about not having a decision, based on your executive dysfunction and inability to track multiple things, based on how you feel about each one ... but don't narrow them down to one just because you think that's "the rules", somehow.
5) On Being Abrasive
If you know, upfront, what some of your dealbreakers are, just straight-up say that as you're scheduling the appointment or in the first session. My last therapist became a problem for me because she expressed empathy in a way that was too similar to the way my abuser used weaponized politeness to deny me boundaries; I couldn't talk to her about my violations because her demeanor was too similar to the person who violated me. So when I first talked to my current therapist, I told him, "I need someone who, if they think I'm full of shit, will say 'I think you're full of shit.'" He replied "One of my other clients calls me 'Deadpool'." I said, "Perfect. Let's give it a shot."
So if you really care that someone will let you schedule appointments online, or will never touch your wrist, or will treat your "disorder" as a neurodivergence to be accommodated rather than a problem to be solved, then say so. The sooner you both know that, the better: if you have particular needs, they need to know that now; and if they're not willing to meet your needs, YOU need to know that now.
(You will not, of course, always know your dealbreakers upfront. When I picked my first therapist, my primary problem was hip pain, and I didn't know it was PTSD. It was through her help that I realized that (a) I had trauma and (b) she was way too like my abuser for me to treat PTSD with her. This was not a failure. This was a massive success, because learning that was what allowed me to find someone who could help me (see point #3). It's fine if you don't know, right now, what you need -- that's part of why vibes are so important (see point #2). But whatever information you can give them, it is helpful to do so, and (despite what people in your past have implied) it is not rude, it is beneficial and desired.
6 - not advice, just a reminder
You are beautiful and brave and strong and I am so proud of you for fighting through all the shit -- both internal and external -- to get yourself help. No one ever talks about how hard it is to get to the point where you schedule that first meeting with that first therapist, and I want you to know that it is painful, it is challenging, and you're not lazy or stupid or whatever other lie your brain is telling you.

YOU WERE AT *WHAT*????????????????????
yes it's true. the atlasisreal deep lore is that I attended dashcon in 2014.
Tumblr media
that me 💕
anyways if you wanna hear my recollection of dashcon it's under the cut.
i was literally just a teenager at the time but seeing dashcon ads on Tumblr I was like. it's in Schaumburg??? like 30min from me??? I HAVE to go this is going to be the coolest thing ever. I love Tumblr all my mentally ill friends and supernatural gifs are on that website. I bet they're gonna have the coolest party ever.
LMAOOOOO
so i asked for the dashcon tix for my birthday! it was for me and my best friend (who attended and even cosplayed Homestuck with me despite not knowing anything about it) and my mom, who was mostly excited about staying in the nice hotel and swimming in the pool. I was so hype for this. anyways we get there and as people have previously talked about vis a vis dashcon, it was so hilariously underwhelming. the first thing you had to do was walk into the registration hall. I think most people have seen pics but they had written "Welcome DashCon" or something to that effect on the ground using blue painters tape, and the hall was empty asf which was really funny because they had set the table up aaaaaall the way at the back so you just got to walk across this big empty hall towards ONE PERSON sitting at a table (who in retrospect I'm pretty sure was the 19 year old they'd foisted this thing onto). she was super nice at the time though so shout out to that interaction.
we pretty much immediately headed for the only actual show floor area, which was the artists alley. if dashcon attendees are hard to find, I'm sure dashcon exhibitors are fucking unicorns bc there was... maybe 30 booths, if I'm being very generous. that being said, I got to meet nd Stevenson at dashcon! he was really nice, and complimented my cosplay. it's kind of fun to get to say I met the artist and author behind nimona and lumberjanes and she-ra at fucking DASHCON lol. hopefully next time I meet him it will be as a fellow professional comics artist huh who said that
gotta take a moment here to stress something. dashcon was very poorly planned and executed. this is true. BUT. the atmosphere, especially on the first day, was so joyful and connected. everyone was so stoked to be at THE Tumblr convention. all of us were weirdos who liked the weirdo website enough to show up in person for all our weirdo friends. We were all exchanging urls and taking big group photos and going to grab lunch together. people were very open and friendly. and I know that's my perspective as well, obviously there were plenty of things going horribly wrong behind the scenes, but having only been an attendee, it really wasn't the worst experience.
anyways so the day was fun and weird and a little boring because dashcon had fucking nothing going on but anyways so the scamming part. they called everyone into this main ballroom and stood on a little stage up front and were like "HEY IF WE DONT RAISE $200,000 THEYRE SHUTTING US DOWN" which definitely did NOT break my tiny little idiot baby heart. I definitely was super self aware and knew this was a dumb scam and I definitely DIDN'T cry and run to the hotel pool to tell my mom. she however immediately went "they're scammers and we paid for our hotel room so whatever lol". my bestie gave them $10 and after the fact was (rightfully) SUPER pissed about it because she WAS smarter than me and figured out the scam thing faster.
I think besides that scam thing the other thing I remember thinking was such fucking bullshit was that we would be walking past the ballroom where Welcome to Night Vale was supposed to perform and the line was insane. It was literally SOOOOO many people. I remember being a little bummed that I hadn't gotten tickets which was.... obviously a short lived regret. when they announced the night Vale cancellation I definitely realized shit was hinky.
a majority of the photos I have are from ballpitstuck! there was a Homestuck meetup at the ball pit, but a lot of us had found each other already and had been hanging out in little feral packs of homestucks, so we all meshed super well and basically immediately all became besties. we ended up kind of collectively agreeing to post stuff in the "ballpitstuck" tag, which is hilarious. I actually made fanart at the time! It's somewhere in the depths of my art blog. I've probably posted most of these before but for posterity:
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
we were cringe. but we were free. no but for real I did have so much fun hanging with the homestucks.
anyways the rest of the con was pretty much just hanging out and watching everything burn from the inside out. my favorite part was watching Tumblr react to dashcon in real-time, because everyone AT the convention was posting about it, and everyone who wasn't at the convention was actively following the updates. by the time we left I just remember being like "I think we've just experienced something very interesting". and now there's a Wikipedia page and a sarah z video about it so.
anyways shout out to my dashcon homies(tucks)

Dear Agents, Writers are not Psychic, please auto include YOUR Trigger Warning Policies
Some background, because no one is going to click on the profile part of the page. I'm aware of that.
The first part of this is that I have an Anthropology degree, which the majority of the classes are concentrated in Systems, such as racism, sexism, etc. The BA would have had a certificate if I didn't have to travel 2-3 hours one way in order to get the certificate.
The second part is that I've been around the publishing industry inside of it, published by it, reading up on the history of it, reading an astounding number of writing advice manuals to track down one diagram and crying over that, to know how the industry works. I know I don't list all my credentials, but seriously, how long do you want a bio?
The third part is that I've worked with websites, UX (User Experience) and the whole idea of User Experience is that even if it functions, it doesn't mean it works without the ability to interface with humans.
And lastly, I have C-PTSD. I know how fucked up PTSD can be. And what a trigger feels like. What a flashback feels like. It's not OMG, I feel icky and have no emotional toll. It's I need a therapist to manage my triggers because it wears me out to have an anxiety/depression attack. And I know how fucked up triggers can be. I've written blog posts about it.
You are not everyone.
User experience is about Empathy. This means you realize: You are not everyone else. Everyone else is not you. They are not going to do what you think is best, so how do you make everyone happy through best practices?
Other agents aren't going to WANT what you want. They are selling different genres, they have different life experiences. Just because it works for you doesn't mean it works for anyone else. By saying, Well, every agent should do as I want, isn't helping anyone.
History
Before the 1900's, most stories were serialized, and only the popular ones got full books. Before the 1960's-1970's according to Steven King's On Writing, there were no Agents. You simply submitted to the publisher. (Agents should know their publishing history, I'm just saying... you should know the history of your own profession.)
Agents became a requirement in the 1990's, not the 1980's. Before that, you could hire a lawyer. And many early agents were lawyers.
This meant because of print tech, and the requirement to join a union, the way to submit to an agent was EXACTLY THE SAME.
The Neurdivergent rejoice. They are happy with this.
But then the internet hit in about the mid-2000's and then agents started to be paid more and more like crap. And then with the plummeting enjoyment, and the publishing industry realizing that they could dump people from their staff and PUT IT ALL ON THE AGENTS, the standardization of the forms fell with it.
Why would this be in UX terms? Well, now agents aren't doing it "for the money" and in basic psychology this means they want more individualistic things. You're likely to do it for the side money, you want to have it the way you want to have it, because what's the point if it's not fun? Thus the standardization in the industry falls apart as people put forth their own individualistic wills. (Do you need the fancy psychology terms. I can do that.)
And then with the internet the industry and everyone started to MAKE UP THEIR OWN RULES.
The ND people are crying. WTF.
Especially the autistic people who like structure and rules that are even and easy to understand. (I had a long conversations about this. I did the research.)
Why would someone want a different trigger policy than me?
People represent different genres and have different aims
This is where the empathy and the ability to actually go through other agent blogs comes in. You need to be able to read other agents, their genres and realize that writers have different genres and combination of genres they are submitting to.
You might be looking ONLY at contemporary Romance, but there are agents that represent Horror, Thrillers, and Mystery and dark fantasy. Even without that, there are subgenres of fiction that might *require* triggers be included. Abuse Romance is a thing (50 Shades) and there is Dystopian SFF.
The agents that rep these genres want the thrill of the surprise. The agent wants to not have to know what's up front to experience the story first hand. This is what I've read from those agents. The ones that rep Horror are more than likely to not want trigger warnings from my asking over and over again. And they are less likely to list a no list to the trigger list.
But those self-same agents *also* represent things like Romance. Because like everyone else on the planet, people like more than one genre.
BTW, out of all of the agents, the agents that rep Romance from my asking around, because no one else is crunching data are more likely to want trigger warnings, but I'm telling you it gets tricky when you're mixing Romance with Supernatural, Mystery, and Fantasy.
BTW, Fantasy and SFF as genres, RANGE WILDLY. So the triggers are going to be all over the map.
And for the people who rep Horror, etc, the reason why your (US) romance agents want trigger warnings is because romance works on a totally different emotional basis compared to Horror. Expecting your potential clients to know that and your fellow agents to follow suit when they have a totally different agenda is not reasonable.
This is where UX comes in. YOU, agent, Have do the work to bridge the gap between you and the other agents. If you all are going to have different policies about triggers, then writers are going to also do their best guesses and try for a middle.
People have different triggers than you.
I have a trigger around melamine floors. Do you have a trigger around melamine floors? Does it make your spine go cold it makes my spine go cold. Do you get a mild headache thinking about them especially if they are white? No? You don't?
Would it be reasonable for me to ask you to guess that about me?
Would it be reasonable for you to take all of my feelings about it because I never informed you this was the case?
If you're getting my drift:
LIST YOUR TRIGGERS. Not everyone has the same triggers. Write it out. Asking people to manage and guess your invisible triggers is unreasonable. It does harm to others. You don't want them to do harm to you, it's your responsibility to let people help you by making it known. 100% I know this as a person with C-PTSD and also with Sensory issues. It's not other people's responsibility if they don't know about it. It is 100% mine to let them know if I have an issue and it's too much. If they don't respect you after you have let them know, then the onus is on them, not before then. It's also anti-ND to expect people to *guess* your triggers. But it's also better for your mental health so people don't submit something you don't want.
Trauma *is* fucked up. But part of recovery is taking control and taking control of your triggers and processing them. So let people help you by you listing your triggers you don't want to see or be warned about in fiction.
Set clear boundaries
Goal-setting: Ask yourself questions like “What is the goal in setting a boundary or needing to set a boundary?”
Start small: Setting boundaries can be hard and uncomfortable. The key is to start small and focus on one at a time.
Be clear: Focus on what you want as clearly as possible.
Practice: If thinking about setting a boundary makes you nervous, write out what you want to say beforehand or practice stating a boundary in the mirror.
Keep it simple: Less is more with boundary setting. Try not to overload someone with too many details at first. Just pick the main thing that is bothering you and focus on that.
From the website.
Make your boundaries clear. If you don't list triggers, don't ask for a trigger list on your forms, don't make it known on your website, assume everyone is going to do it that everyone agrees with you, and don't put it where people can see it, then you are responsible for the result and in making it more clear. You can't act like a victim if you haven't set clear boundaries.
Act like an adult and set your boundaries.
BUT WHY would anyone write it/not want a warning as an agent?
Some people like to deal with their triggers in fiction. It's distant, not real, it gives them a sense of control, like a safe word in BDSM. A lot of reading of horror and thrillers in particular are when people are anxious. This is according to Stephen King that greater fear means a spike in his sales. (Interviews, Writing Excuses). You should be paying attention to that... just saying. This is marketing. You are also (unfortunately) part marketer, not only lawyer.
Some people are using it to ask for rights. Buy being clear as a victim of abuse, etc that helps people feel empowerment by *stopping it*.
If people want to stop homophobia, that means they have to talk about homophobia. Taking power back from the oppressors feels good. This is like step 3 of recovering from trauma, though. I've covered previously that after victimhood, you should be aiming for survivor, but the aims of a social justice person are transformation of trauma and that has to be somewhat different and is somewhat opposed to being a victim.
Everyone is healing in a different way and speed than you are. Again, everyone is not you. This is marketing too.
BUT OTHER AGENTS SHOULD DEAL WITH MY POLICY
No, they shouldn't. You are not everyone else. See the UX rule.
How Do I Fix it?
Put on your forms a trigger policy. Try to get other agents to also put on a trigger policy standard.
You can copy-paste the following and cut the irrelevant:
Trigger Warning Policy
I would like you to give a trigger warning: Yes/No.
I would like you to give a trigger warning:
In the query
When I request fulls.
You should not submit if your manuscript has:
You can submit if your manuscript has, but warn me:
Skip trigger warnings for these genres:
[List genres]
Listed nicely and UXed like that with the bold? Yes. Makes it easier to read.
Where should I put it?
There's a fancy UX term for this, but the basics are: If it's important to you, you will LIST it in multiple places. And since writers, even if they wanted to be aren't psychic at grand distances and are submitting to you from places like Australia (because you should know that) and from other countries. They will have no clue what you want if people want different things. So all of these places.
Manuscript Wishlist
Your Profile on your website
Query Manager (You can put it at the top and sometimes with the query part)
Submissions Guideline Page (especially if you don't have Query Manager)
Why not on Twitter?
No one is going to read thousands of tweets and work through your tweets that are going to disappear to find your trigger policy. !@#$ No. Too much time, too much effort, those things disappear, and those are not for permanent information.
If it's Absent...
The user will assume if it is absent in the query manager, especially, there is none, and they can do as they like or guess. Absence is assumed this way.
If you need the long psychological reason why, in UX this is true, then imagine it this way (extended analogies are my jam):
Cashier A is not labeled. Cashier B is not labeled in a store.
You want to check out of the items you've collected in the store and not steal things. You're likely to do as you like. And choose between Cashier A and Cashier B.
Cashier A is labeled now: Returns.
Cashier B is labeled with a cart icon.
You want to check out. You're likely to choose Cashier B.
Therefore, if it's absent on the form, people will do as they like. Basic marketing, psychology and UX. If you want it to be known, you label it.
Mechanically list it. Put it visible everywhere.
Make the form standard on Query Manager and Manuscript Wishlist
Even better yet is to make it standard on agent websites.
Here is the contact for them.
MSWL: https://www.manuscriptwishlist.com/contact/
Query Manager: https://querymanager.com/contact.php
Here is what you can write:
Hello,
[Honest reasons you love their website]
I would really like a standard form for trigger warnings. The form would look like something like this:
I would like you to give a trigger warning: Radio buttons: Yes/No.
(Require) If no, then the rest of the form doesn't need to be filled out.
I would like you to give a trigger warning:
If yes require...
Radio buttons for:
In the query
When I request fulls.
You should not submit if your manuscript has: (Optional)
You can submit if your manuscript has, but warn me: (Optional)
Skip trigger warnings for these genres: (Optional)
[List genres]
Thank you for your time and consideration.
Sincerely,
[Name]
BTW, I put programming and UX info into the letter to make it easier on them. Because again empathy and again, I'm HSP, so I can't help it. I want to make implementation as easy as possible.
Please don't abuse the word "Trigger"
BTW, Please do not for the sake of people with C-PTSD and PTSD say something you "dislike" is a "trigger." Dislike should be Content warning. And in that case just list it with your usual "Don't send me this."
Saying something is a trigger because you dislike the trope–please don't abuse the word trigger this way.
Yes, there are low level triggers that don't make sense. I've covered melamine floors before as a trigger for me and institutions. But usually I don't trip out if it's in fiction. But that might be you. Again. Not everyone has the same triggers for fiction, because you are not everyone. Or as Mr. Rogers liked to say loosely You are unique.
While you're at it...
BTW, I also listed other things that agents disagree on. Just do it as a part of your policy to list them.
Conclusion
To me, at this point, if you don't list it and rep a bunch of different genres, I'll choose what I guess is best. If you hit more than one, then yeah, I'm left guessing.
And as an HSP, agents getting really mad at both ends, to the point they are willing to get irritated, I can't take that on. Writers are left confused and in the middle. So instead, just use the form I listed. I mean, it's not that hard to copy-paste.
Your little bit of work up front will help everyone else. Make it a standard that all agents list a trigger warning policy EVERYWHERE it can be visible. We can't guess and no one is going to read all of your Twitter.
Marketing ideas also work towards your clients. You want them to do a certain behavior, then you have to also market yourself well, which means you need to be making your trigger policy known and visible.

Hi I just wanted to let u guys know that I seriously appreciate u guys, dealing with mental health shit is no fun but u guys seriously make me smile (and some of u has been TOO nice too me I SEE U) and I just want anyone who's reading this to know I love you and I'm so fucking proud of you. I understand this world is kinda going to shit and mental health is such a fucking complicated ass thing to deal with and yet you guys are still being fucking awesome and you make other people smile on this website (that's most definitely filled with
I'm a very sappy individual icl and somehow I'm more sappy when I'm feeling sad lol
I love u guys so much and thankyou for spending ur time with me it's really appreciated <33
Also fun fact ND people can do something that is verbal processing, whenever I deal with a tough situation I tend to tell like 5 - 10 people in my life about it which is why I never really considered myself a "closed book" BUT apparently this is cause people with ASD can sometimes struggle with processing situations especially if negative so you tell and re - tell which helps the person actually process what's going on. Idk I found that out and I was like woahh

More on my series’ version of Wolverine! The story takes place after Wolverine left the X-Men/X-Corps, after a mission went horribly wrong and forced him to distance himself so he wouldn’t hurt anyone else. Primarily, this is featuring Logan during a low point in his career. Design -Logan’s palette is red leaning (totally not because it’s my favorite color how could you tell), which symbolizes red being often associated with anger. -He wears gloves to prevent himself from popping his claws frequently. However, it doesn’t always work out… -I always liked him with cowboy clothes and flannels, so why not have both? Makes him fruitier lol -His ears being pointy are more of a stylistic choice on my end. His eyes are one of my favorite things to draw, I love how they capture the resting bitch face he has haha Character -⚠️With his mental health out of wack, he relapsed to smoking cigars. This doesn’t hurt him health-wise thanks to his healing factor, but it doesn’t do him any favors overall. His drinking also increased. -Logan is hard-wired to his left brain. He is heavily strategically focused due to his centuries of war/military experience, and is incredibly blunt with his instructions as a result; Not to mention using rather crude language. -He’s sometimes rather… robotic in his mannerisms, especially when he’s scouting the area around him with his nose or looking for something/someone; A byproduct of his time under Weapon X. That or he’s ND maybe??? idk lol MAJOR Details -To help Logan with easing his trauma, Professor X—with Logan’s consent—implanted high grade Psionic Shields that greatly protect him from telepathic probing, reduce his tendency to go on a Berserker Rage, and as an unintended side effect, leave him undetectable by Cerebro. -Logan made his choice to leave, and demanded the team to NOT contact and/or find him. I’m sure this will go well 👍 -I’m taking a horror approach with Berserker Rage, instead of treating it like a stereotypical rage boost. If you think about Logan’s powers long enough, the fact he can track you down better than a bear, regenerate his entire body from a drop of blood, has indestructible bones and claws to boot, along with how much combat experience he has, him getting a rage boost that puts his powers into overdrive is THE LAST THING you could want. I mean damn, no wonder he was a Horseman of Death.
Okay yeah I like this website’s formatting much better than deviant Art

Also... I decided not to put this in the new cat post, both bc I didn't want it to get long and I decided to leave the reblogs on it bc the pictures are cute, and I didn't want This portion to be reblogged. I know a lot of people feel the same way I do, and that's a great thing, but I don't... want a lot of attention on my posts or blogs. The trauma, etc. So I don't want this to escape containment but still want to talk about it, and am turning reblogs off. Like, this is a journal entry that I'm letting people see at a sleepover, not a speech I've prepared for my public speech and debate class. You know?
So, that preamble out of the way: I feel like... a resigned frustration about people Still clinging to the myths that cats are cold, unloving, distant, only around humans for food, only tolerate us and think we're stupid, etc etc. Or express surprise when they see examples of cats being loving and affectionate. (I... don't want to talk about the stupid ass misogyny and bioessentialism being applied to cats, but that too)
Like, it really truly isn't difficult to befriend a cat and in turn receive their affection. All you have to do is 1) show them, consistently, that you are safe and don't pose a threat to them 2) go at their own pace and respect their boundaries/comfort zone (like, hold your hand out for them to sniff instead of petting them straight away; don't force them to cuddle just because you want to) 3) treat them with unconditional love, initiate moments of affection occasionally instead of waiting for them to initiate each time (like, call them over, talk/meow/sing to them, get out their favorite toys to play with, etc. Do things that convey that their love is reciprocated.) 4) try to understand and read their body language, and back off when they give warning signs like twitching tails or flattened ears 5) provide them with fresh food, water, litter boxes, a clean environment
These things are basically tweaks on the foundations of establishing a friendship with another human, obviously the last one aside. So, why do so many people have an issue with the idea of treating an animal like their an autonomous being whose personal space should be respected? (Rhetorical question). I know that this is the ND, struggles socially, just had a viral poll about not knowing how to make friends, website-- but generally speaking, the people who make comments about cats being mean and unloving aren't the people who make up this site's userbase. ND folks honestly tend to have a much easier time socializing with animals than humans, for a variety of reasons.
I personally hate being touched, so I never had to be taught about respecting a cat's space and boundaries. Part of that is taking the "do unto others" rule very literally and to heart, and part of that is that I don't want to make any other living creature feel the way I do when I'm touched without permission. It doesn't matter if that's a cat, or a bug, or another person. But there's lots of ways to be ND, and like I said, a variety of factors that contribute to us connecting with animals easily.
And I know it's a harsh thing to say, but if your cat is genuinely cold, distant, tolerates you, etc... it's most likely due to something you've done as their owner, not in the "inherent nature" of an entire species, especially a domesticated one. Maybe you make a lot of noise that scares them, maybe you use negative reinforcement (Does Not Work On Cats) like squirting with a water bottle. Maybe you yell at them. There's a lot of things that can make a cat feel afraid of you and fracture their trust in you. Maybe you force them to cuddle and hold them in place when they try to get away.
I think the idea that cats only like us for food stems in part from what I discussed briefly in that previous post, people who exclusively feed their cats dry food. Most dry foods, especially the cheaper ones, are full of fillers of vegetables and carbohydrates like wheat, which cats cannot digest. Cats are obligate carnivores that need to eat meat, and specifically the protein taurine, which is typically found in abundance in the heart of other animals. So feeding cats a diet of only dry food is like if your parents fed you potato chips for every meal. You'd eat a large quantity in an attempt to feel full, but your body would make it known that its needs aren't being met. So, cats fed only dry food cry for more food more often, wake their owners up at early hours and aggressively, get more persistent when their meal is 1 hour behind (like the jokes about daylight savings). People get automatic feeders, but that doesn't solve the nutrition deficit, so it doesn't solve the cat's "behavior" (cries for help! to the person responsible for their care!) and both the cat and owner become increasingly frustrated with each other. The desperate eating of more dry food to get the nutrition they need is the cause of a lot of the overweight cats you see, and can lead to hypertension, kidney disease, diabetes, depression, lethargy, apathy, chronic joint pain, difficulty jumping/exercising around the house which makes all the above issues more difficult to combat, etc.
Most people . Only feed their cats dry food because it's cheaper than buying wet food . And I Try to be understanding about like, poverty, the housing crisis, economic turmoil, price gouging, etc etc. But if you want a cat, you're committing to at least 10-18 years of providing for this animal. If you can't afford to actually provide for them and meet their needs, you need to, like, play a pet-raising sim instead of fucking up an animal's health in irreversible ways, or making them loyal to you out of fear. This animal is supposed to be your friend, supposed to trust you implicitly and have a mutual bond of unconditional love.
I've never had any difficulties making friends with cats; the only time a cat never became receptive to my company was one that had been in a very abusive household. Neighbors and family friends' cats have all quickly sought out my attention and pets/cuddles. My cats have all been affectionate, trusting, and receptive to my emotions/physical pain. I have enough examples to fill its own post, but trust me when I say that every day my cats show through consideration, companionship, body language, and seeking out pets/cuddles, that they love and trust me, and my family. (Actually, I had a cat that would pee in one of my abusive aunts shoes whenever she visited our house <3 That cat said "your vibes are rancid and you're not welcome here")
This post is already pretty long, so I'll wrap it up here. I just wish that more people would put in the effort to learn/understand cat's body language and meet cats halfway instead of expecting cats to act like dogs do. (AND . I wish people would apply the above listed steps to how they treat dogs . You should be respecting their personal space and showing them respect too, asshole!) If you know what to look for re: a cat's body language, you'll see that they're telling us in a myriad of ways how much they enjoy our company, respect us, love us, etc.

has 9/11 always been a special interest of yours, or did something about it spark that interest later on? i've been watching unedited footage of 9/11 for the first time. for me, it's just surreal to watch people react in real-time to something like that, especially knowing what'd become of the event later on
GOOD QUESTION!!!
so it reallyy became a special interest in the past year, but i've always been really interested in it and alays had a lot of questions about it. what sparked it for me was a conversation i had with one of my older friends who was a younger teen during the event + the aftermath and basically he told me abt all kinds of stuff he remembered that it seems nobody knows abt these days, and also he sent me a link to the moussaoui trial court exhibits and wowwww i was stunned about evrything and i just needed to know MORE i needed to know especially about like, the people who *did* 9/11 (not like. haha george bush did 9/11 but you know, the hijackers themselves. thats one of the questions i asked my friend. like "hey how come ive basiclaly never been told anything about the guys who did it or about how all of this got planned cuz obviously it didnt just happen spontaneously" and after all that clicked in my head and after listening to what my friend had to say, i got really really into doing deep dives learning abt that specific stuff, and it became rlly important to me to learn all that because of how its not really known much these days. sadly i also learned a lot of resources on that have become victim to link rot nd arent as well preserved like other stuff. so in a way i also feel like a sort of oracle with esoteric knowledge being one of the few out there preserving a crumbling library that nobody else rlly wants anything to do with <- thts the autism speaking
tysm for ur questionnnn also ! here is the link to the trial exhibits i mentioned https://www.vaed.uscourts.gov/101cr00455-trial-exhibits they do warn on the website it does contain sensitive content obviously but yeah its really interesting stuff at least to me. the prosecution exhibits r a lot more "juicy" if u will. just my tip.

can we talk about how championing donations/mutual aid as being the quintessential way to "not be performative" and "prove yourself" is like. obviously blatantly classist. because like yeah the guilt trippy shit on this website in general is garbage especially for nd people but it feels especially shitty when it becomes a moral obligation to spend money you don't have

I've recently noticed that some users who are on team black here on Tumblr receive really weird asks about Helaena and Helaemond. Of course it's crazy stuff like "Helaemond shippers are actually team black", "they claim A*ys groomed and seduced Aemond to steal him away from Helaena" and that "they use this gross ship to self-insert themselves". It could be just me but this sounds like the usual suspects.
Tumblr media
my experience with many alysm*nd stans is the same as with team black stans so any inappropriate behaviour on their part does not surprise me one bit because i have been the victim of it and i've also witnessed stuff that is just so out of the pocket, i am still so disgusted by it
last time i posted opening up about the mean behaviour i've had to see and deal with someone sent me a ss of someone whining about my post to some other random alysm*nd on tumblr, a person i've never talked to
and there is just a lot.
it's especially annoying when i get called a secret team black stan, black adjacent, secret da*myra from dumbasses who have never put out one critical thought on this or any other website considering how much hate i got for defending alicent f.e.
but anyway, i know there are some people working overtime to push helaemonds out of green spaces and to them i say: seethe and cope <3

- eating food is good for you unless it's the type you are allergic to or is expired. don't eat food you are allergic to! that's super bad for you. and if it's got mold or is rotting.... don't!
- getting your daily intake of water is way more healthy than anything else. foods you eat can also contain a lot of water! fruits and soups are two big obvious examples. here's an amazing article that really goes into the nuances of how much water a day is right for you based on things like weight, activity levels, and the climate you are currently in!
- on a general level, binge eating isn't great for you. I used to go a long time without eating and then binge a giant dinner that would leave me feeling uncomfortably full and lethargic for hours. once I started eating smaller portions more frequently, I started feeling better physically, and I didn't even change what I ate, just how much and how often.
- eating/drinking "junk" is way better for you than not consuming anything at all. food is energy. you need energy.
- eating food you actually like is healthier than eating food that you hate but is "good for you." it has not recently been discovered that if you eat "health" foods (ex: salads, veggies, whole grain stuff etc) but dislike eating it, especially to the point of just swallowing to get it down or holding your nose or whatever, you actually absorb less nutrients. here's one study about how eating tasty food you are familiar with and in a manner enticing to you affects iron intake. People who ate normally delicious meals in a mush form got 70% less iron from ppl who ate it normally. and another website talking about the same study.
- every body is different and needs different things. things that work for some to make them healthier will be dangerous for others.
- chew your food!!!!! no, really. chew your food more. people as a whole don't chew their food enough. ever scarf something down and get a tummy ache? our saliva and teeth have a purpose. we need to make sure our teeth are breaking down food as much as possible to make less work for our stomachs. making sure every bite has a good amount of saliva in it ensures easier digestion as well because saliva breaks down food too. even if you're just eating pudding, swish it around in your mouth a few times to get saliva in it before swallowing. the more you chew, the longer it takes to eat, the more time your body has to register fullness, the less you eat overall and potentially stop yourself from overeating. chewing enough also helps with gas, cramps, bloating, bad poops, skin problems, and more.
- remember that if you are working on eating better, whatever that means for you personally, your body can handle a cheat day or a relapse day or whatever (with some exceptions, like if you're at risk or something. diabetics should hold more caution, but my dad eats sugar free treats often and doctors say he's safe). getting upset with yourself isn't helpful if you for example are trying to avoid eating lots of sugar, but buy yourself a bag of nerds clusters. (haha....I love nerds clusters so much). it's okay! the world isn't going to end!
- if you want to be more active make sure you understand yourself, your current circumstances, and your limits. personally, I have asthma, so cardio is basically avoided. I prefer weight stuff. walking is fine for me, but running and jogging are a NO. if you're disabled or very out of practice there are super basic simple non-strenuous starter exercises you can do.
Justin Agustin does a lot of beginner and elderly/infirm tutorials. here's one for if you haven't exercised in years with super basic stuff like sitting down and raising your feet up, and sitting down and standing up.
as for exercises and routines for neurodivergent people, there's not really a place anywhere I can find that really... has substantial things. it's best if you just Google your flavor of ND and find other people talking about what works for them and trying things out. for adhd it varies, but typically I found that keeping things new and fresh and fun helps to keep routine and to rotate what you do so when you get bored of one thing you can do another, and trying to stick to one solid routine is basically impossible. for autism basically just try to make it as sensory friendly as possible, wearing the right clothes, finding the right places. basically if you're any type of ND it's just going to be a process to find what works best with you and your brain and schedule and body, not what other people tell you to do.
AND REMEMBER THAT WEIGHT =X= HEALTH!!! WEIGHT DOES NOT EQUAL HEALTH!!!! FAT% DOES NOT EQUAL HEALTH!!! THERES MORE TO HEALTH THAN EATING AND EXERCISING!!!
so many queer ppl will be like "deviating from social norms is part of who we are" and then gleefully participate in fatphobia/diet culture and nearly make being skinny an entire ideology and identity

Finding NDIS Providers in Adelaide
NDIS providers are the backbone of the NDIS system. They offer essential aides and services to help disabled individuals live fulfilling lives. They are also responsible for the quality of the care that they provide.
Selecting the right ndis providers adelaide is an important decision for participants that can affect how they spend their funding and ultimately achieve their goals. Here are some tips to help you make the best choice:
Find a Service Provider
NDIS provides individuals with a range of services that are tailored to their individual needs. These include high-quality aides, therapies, and equipment that can help improve their quality of life. The NDIS also provides participants with a variety of support services, such as local area coordination and community participation. These are important aspects of the NDIS plan that empower individuals to achieve their goals and aspirations.
Choosing an NDIS service provider can be difficult, especially with so many options. However, there are a few key factors to consider when making your decision. These include asking for referrals, looking at their level of experience, and considering the prices they charge.
In addition to these factors, it is important to find an NDIS service provider that offers flexible payment options. Some providers may offer an option that allows you to pay monthly, while others may allow you to make payments on a weekly basis. This can be helpful for people who are on a budget or who have limited incomes.
Ask for Referrals
When a person with a disability is looking for an NDIS provider, they should take the time to ask for referrals from other participants. This is a great way to find out which providers are most reliable and offer the best services in Adelaide. NDIS participants should also make sure to understand their NDIS plan goals and objectives before selecting a provider.
NDIS Adelaide service providers can increase their visibility in the community by listing their services on an online directory, which will allow people with disabilities to easily search for a provider they can trust. They can also use QR codes on their marketing materials to redirect people to their website or social media pages.
Many people with disabilities are supported by individual arrangements, which may include employing their own support workers directly using NDIS funding. These arrangements are often called services-for-one and are regulated by the NDIS Commission. The Commission also handles complaints about the quality of NDISfunded services.
Research the Provider
As a person with a disability, it’s important to find an NDIS provider that has the experience and knowledge to help you. These providers can offer a variety of services including in-home support, home alterations, and disability equipment. They can also assist you with finding community groups and events to attend.
NDIS registered plan management providers streamline funding and support coordination, empowering participants to use the supports in their plan in the way that best suits them. They must also adhere to a set of standards and rules, including not using regulated restrictive practices.
The NDIS helps people with permanent and significant disabilities live their lives to the fullest. The program provides enough funding to cover high-quality aides, services, and equipment, allowing people to pursue their goals and dreams. NDIS also offers support in a range of housing options, from group homes to supported living arrangements. It can even provide funding for specialised equipment, such as a wheelchair or ventilator.
Inquire About Different Payment Options
There are many important decisions to be made when it comes to your NDIS plan. These include selecting a provider, choosing a support type, and setting goals. It can be difficult to know who you should work with, but it is essential that you find a trusted service provider to help you live your best life.
NDIS participants can use the Provider Finder on the NDIS website to locate registered providers in their area. They can also use the myplace portal to share their NDIS plan with providers they choose.
In addition, NDIS participants can request a payment organiser (DOCX 46KB) to help them manage their budget and keep track of their spending. They should also ask potential providers about their payment options. Some may offer a direct debit option, while others accept online payments or even credit cards. In addition, they should make sure that they are aware of any additional fees that might be added to their price.

Rare Earth Mining: Mining the Metals of Tomorrow
Rare Earth Elements play a vital role in today's technological landscape, powering devices such as smartphones, electric motors and military equipment. Nations rich in REE deposits are becoming essential players in the industry, significantly influencing global supply chains.
Understanding Rare Earth Elements and their Uses
Rare Earth Elements (REE) consist of 17 metals crucial for advanced technologies that shape modern life. These elements are indispensable for emerging innovations, including electric aircraft, solar energy systems and 5G technology.
The surge in demand for magnets stems from increased rare earth mining activities. This demand spike is largely driven by their integration into a wide range of electronic devices, speakers, headphones, sensors, wind turbines, hybrid and electric vehicles and optical glass. Projections indicate that demand may soon surpass the available supply of rare earth metals.
The expansion of the clean energy sector is largely attributed to the push for sustainable energy solutions and carbon reduction initiatives. The call for REEs is particularly strong in fields like electric vehicles, battery storage, wind energy and hydrogen technologies.
Wind energy, especially from offshore sources, is a key factor in the rising demand for REMs, driven by significant capacity growth and a need for high mineral content. Critical minerals like neodymium and dysprosium enhance the efficiency and weight of offshore wind turbines, making them crucial for optimal performance.
GMDC Rare Earth Mining
GMDC is focused on establishing a complete REE value chain, encompassing mining, processing, separation and manufacturing. We are developing one of the world’s premier rare earth processing hubs in India, designed to consolidate the entire REE value chain and support downstream activities in industries such as metals and alloys, NdFeb magnets, electric motors and glass manufacturing.
Mining and Beneficiation at Ambadungar
At Ambadungar, located in the Chhota Udepur district of Gujarat, GMDC is working to unlock one of the largest rare earth deposits globally. This project includes an open pit mine, processing facilities, a tailings storage facility, bulk power solutions, and modern infrastructure with residential amenities designed for a superior living environment.
The Ambadungar deposits are rich in light rare earth elements (LREEs), essential for many global economies. The extraction process will involve mining ore from the open-pit site and processing it through a series of steps, crushing, milling, conditioning and flotation to produce a mixed rare earth concentrate.
Separation and Integrated Downstream Manufacturing at Baruch
The mixed rare earth carbonate obtained from Ambadungar will be sent to our separation facility at the Bharuch REE hub. This process will yield valuable rare earth oxides such as Nd, Pr, La and Ce.
These refined oxides will be transformed into metals, which will then be used in various applications, including catalysts for catalytic cracking. They are pivotal in supporting the global shift towards clean energy and sustainable mobility. To get more updates about our services, visit our website https://www.gmdcltd.com/

Applying for a U.S. entry waiver can be daunting, especially if you're unfamiliar with the specific DHS requirements and procedures. Unfortunately, this confusion creates opportunities for fraudsters to exploit hopeful travelers like you.
With scams on the rise, staying vigilant is crucial to protect yourself. In this blog, we provide a comprehensive guide on how to avoid scams while applying for a U.S. entry waiver. By the end, you'll have a clear understanding of the process. Let's dive into the details and ensure your journey to America is smooth and secure.

Key Points Covered:
Understanding the U.S. entry waiver process
Recognizing common scams
Essential tips to safeguard against fraud
Step-by-step guidance for a successful application
Don't let fraudsters stand in the way of your American dream. Read on to empower yourself with knowledge and take the first step towards a safe and legitimate entry into the United States.
1. Research Reputable Sources for US Entry Waivers
We already know that you want to discover how to apply for a US Entry Waiver. So you need to be aware that it's crucial to fully understand the process. Comprehensive knowledge allows you to discern accurate information and identify any false claims.
Gather information from official and reputable sources to ensure the accuracy and legitimacy of your data. The U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) website and the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) website can be at times a reliable source for information on entry waivers. These official websites sometimes provide trustworthy and detailed guidance on the application process.
Avoid relying on most forums, social media, or unofficial websites as your primary sources. These platforms often contain unverified information that can lead to misunderstandings and errors in your application. Always prioritize information from authoritative and reputable sources such as ours to ensure the success of your US Entry Waiver application. We are both former federal officers and former law enforcement officers previously posted in Washington State. So our credentials speak for themselves.
2. Be Wary of Guarantees
It's important to recognize that no formal service can guarantee the approval of your US Entry Waiver application. The final decision rests solely with the government. Be cautious of any consultant, lawyer or service claiming a 100% success rate; such promises are often misleading and can indicate a potential scam. Trustworthy services will never offer guarantees they cannot fulfill.
3. Due Diligence
Ensuring the credibility of any service provider you hire is crucial, even if they are on your side. You really need to do your due diligence when you deal with these waiver service providers. Do your own online digging and do not be afraid to question the credentials of the service provider.
Reviews and Testimonials: Check online reviews and testimonials from previous clients. Reach out to these clients if possible to inquire about their experiences.
The most important thing that we can state here is to simply trust your gut nd instincts. People can often tell if they are being fed a lot of nonsense from a waiver service provider. So follow your gut and you won’t go wrong.
4. Avoid Full Upfront Payments
When searching for a reputable US Entry Waiver service, be cautious of providers who demand full payment upfront. This is a significant red flag indicating a potential scam. Trustworthy US Entry Waiver service providers, like us, follow a structured fee schedule, ensuring transparency and reliability.
Our fees are based on the severity of the offense. For example:
Minor offenses, such as car theft or possession of a joint, start at $2,500.
Drug trafficking offenses range from $3,500 to $8,000, depending on the complexity. Bhindy Johal would have fallen under the $8,000 range or more.
Serious crimes like child sex offenses (forcible child rape, molestation, or sex trafficking) are charged between $10,000 and $15,000.
Extremely severe cases, such as those involving former cartel members or former crime syndicates akin to Al Capone, are charged $40,000 or more.
If a service provider asks for the full amount before any work begins, it’s likely a scam, and you should avoid them.
At our organization, we use Department of Homeland Security regulations and other internal US government resources to effectively clear individuals for entry into the United States. Our extensive experience ensures a thorough and efficient process for our clients. Also, our fees are current as of July 31, 2024.

5. Get Everything in Writing
Ensure that all agreements, including fees and services provided, are documented in writing and obtain a paper copy. This will serve as valuable proof in case any issues arise, enabling you to take legal action if necessary. Remember, a reputable service provider will offer a written contract without prompting, so it's wise to choose such qualified professionals.
6. Protect Yourself from Phishing Scams
Phishing scams involve fraudulent emails or messages that appear to be from legitimate sources. Don't take the bait! These deceptive communications are designed to trick you into revealing personal information, making payments, or sharing login details.
Here are some essential tips to safeguard yourself:
Ignore Suspicious Emails and Messages: If you receive an unsolicited communication that seems too enticing, it's best to disregard it. Scammers use attractive offers to lure you in.
Be Wary of Unsolicited Requests: Any message asking for personal information, payment, or login details should raise a red flag. If you're not cautious, you could end up losing your money or personal data.
Verify the Sender's Identity: Always confirm the authenticity of the sender. If in doubt, contact the company directly using official channels to verify the communication.
By staying vigilant and following these steps, you can protect yourself from falling victim to phishing scams.
7. Understanding the US Entry Waiver Application Process
Gain a Thorough Understanding of the US Entry Waiver Application Process
It is crucial to have a comprehensive understanding of the US entry waiver application process.
Being well-informed can help you identify false claims and avoid unrealistic promises.
Learn How to Submit Your Application
Familiarize yourself with the steps involved in submitting the application correctly.
Conduct thorough research to determine which documents are essential for your submission.
Ensure All Required Documents Are Prepared
Carefully double-check that you have all necessary documents ready.
Missing documents can cause delays or even rejections of your application.
Prepare for the possible Interview
Understand how to adequately prepare yourself for the interview.
Being well-prepared can significantly increase your chances of a successful application.
By following these steps, you can navigate the US entry waiver application process with confidence and clarity.
8. Use Official Forms: Ensure Your Application's Success
When applying, it’s crucial to use the official forms available on the CBP or USCIS websites. Using unofficial forms can lead to delays or even rejection of your application, often due to scams. To avoid these pitfalls, always download forms directly from the official government websites.
9. Track Your Application Progress Effectively
Monitor the Official Government Website: After submitting your application, regularly check the official government website for updates. This is the most reliable source for information regarding your application status.
Utilize Online Tracking Tools: Both CBP (Customs and Border Protection) and USCIS (U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services) offer online tools to monitor the progress of your application. Make use of these tools to stay informed.
Avoid Third-Party Updates: Steer clear of relying solely on third-party services for updates. Scammers often provide misleading information to deceive applicants. Always verify details through official channels.
10. Report Suspicious Activity
Encountering a scam or suspecting fraudulent services? It’s crucial to report such activity to the right authorities without delay. If you're unsure where to direct your concerns, here are the key agencies to contact:
Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP)
