For some reason, my three KOF RP sideblogs just up and vanished today:
unshackled-instinct (Iori)
london-marching (Billy)
venxm-strike (King)
I don't know what happened: did someone report them? Or what?
What's going on? I hope Tumblr can restore them in some fashion.
If they can't, all of my hard work would've went to waste.
Fuck, what do I do?

Servamp chapter 148 spoilers
"It feels like..I'm breaking...His soul is screaming...Crying out your name."
I screamed as well when I saw that Tsurugi is in there!
That's what I hoped for. I couldn't accept that he was truly dead in spite of what happed to his body!
He heard Touma's name being called out and that made him wake up!
If Mikuni let him live because he thought that he'll not pose a threat if Germaine-the creator of Servamps, who is supposed to be stronger than anyone, takes over his body, well...he underestimated my boy.
Touma: "Let's go home, Tsurugi." Tsurugi: "Tai-chan..!"
Upon hearing his name being called out by Touma, Tsurugi managed to break free from Germaine's control. Like I mentioned previously, Tsurugi must have been underestimated.
Recall what he said in chapter 67.
My boy 😭 It made me happy seeing that he managed to expel Germaine and I that he will be alright, but Tanaka-sensei was like, "Yeah about that..."
AAAHH! I'm devastated! There's only one more chapter left...Could there still be hope for him to come back?
Note that I haven't properly read the lines, as in I haven't looked up all the words, but from what I understand, Touma explained to Mahiru that Iori created a save state of the world, a precaution against damage in a decisive battle and Mahiru asks if he means that day when Tsubaki showed up at the hospital (ch 84).
According to this chapter, when Iori 'died', which by the way, his act was referred to as 'suicide by magic' he actually put himself in suspended animation and inserted himself as a 'bookmark' in the timeline and he acted as a guidepost to correct the timeline.
Yeah, so it's impressive. I think most of us believed, especially given the previous chapter that Mahiru and Kuro will be the one to defeat Mikuni. I also thought there will be a confrontation with Germaine, like I was expecting that he will be the final boss.
Alright, so, maybe after I read the chapter probably it will be clear, but Mahiru asks if it's possible to go back to that moment in time, (the period from when Tsubaki showed up at the hospital), but Touma says there's not enough to pay the price to go that far in time, however Touma says that he wouldn't mind paying a price 'to pull a life from the bookmark'.
So...he wants to bring Tsurugi back by exchanging his life, however, Mahiru mentions that he died once before and he's suggesting to exchange his life.
Note how he trails off at the end. I'm expecting that he will be cut off by someone, most likely Kuro who will give him a lecture.
Don't let your mother's sacrifice be in vain, Mahiru! :(
Kuro and your friends won't let you sacrifice yourself so easily
The last thing I want to talk about is the possibility that maybe there won't be sacrifices, because there will be drama CD which has a track titled "Re:One morning, when I woke up". (title of chapter 80).
Because it has 'Re' in the title, which stands for 'restart', 'redo', 'repeat' etc, it could mean that the scenario might be about returning to that period in chapter 80.
That chapter opened with Tsurugi waking up at the hospital after the incident at C3.
Although it's the same title as the chapter, maybe it doesn't mean going back to that time, but rather it's tied to the imagery. What I'm trying to say is that, the scenario of the drama might begin with Tsurugi waking up, like in chapter 80.
We only have once chapter left...Tanaka please, my baby has to meet his grandpuppy Gear and no one should sacrifice themselves!

chapter one - welcome to society
from false pretense - a bridgerton!au starring suguru geto
pairing: suguru geto x female reader (zenin)
ch. summary: as daughter of the zenin household, your parents expect no less than perfection of you - their precious emerald! so what happens if the queen sees you; will she have the same perception of you? (3.8k)
content/warnings: bridgerton au, regency era au, angst, fluff, eventual smut, misogyny, bullying, jealousy, mentions of alcohol and explicit contents, mental health issues, death, academic themes, breaking society’s norms and expectations, geto is as prideful as ever, reader pretending to be someone else, both being a pain
author's gossip: bonjour, it's me - Anna! so the first chapter has finally arrived and I hope you like it. thank you very much for taking your time to read - please enjoy! special thanks to @fushitoru <3
Dearest gentle reader,
welcome to yet another season of family representatives entering into society. Alongside mamas making sure their daughters shimmer as brightly as a star, are young eligible men using the opportunity to check whose sparkle might fit themselves. Weeks, months and hours are spent on preparing these young women for their debut to society - all in hopes of impressing her majesty. Though whom may the queen deem worthy enough to take place among her most prized collection of jewelry and will therefore earn the title as this year’s most desired debutante; earning this season’s title as the most incomparable - the diamond of the season.
Upon society’s excitement on to whose daughter will bedazzle the crowd and especially the queen the most to make the final cut, are also rumors lingering as to whom may grace us with their decision to fully participate in the courting related events regarding public. But before we will dive into every mother’s most anticipated part of this very column, I shall inform you about whom many males and also the queen herself have set their sights on. There are two young women who are currently being favored not only for their looks, but also for their standings in society as well as their exquisite mannerisms proven in minor gatherings before. Both are of exceptional lineages. One being miss Iori, daughter of viscount Iori and the other one is in fact a close friend of hers; miss Zenin of the Zenin household. Bear with me as we pay attention to what future will hold spare for these two little birds.
Now onto the most important part for many - during most recent days it has come to my attention that whispers surrounding this season’s attendees have steadily increased in volume. So much so, that I could not do other but to investigate those myself for I can confirm wether it is of great value or impact to society. So now this very author can confirm with joy that none other than Suguru Geto, heir to duke Geto, is preparing to pay his full attention on finding himself a match. Will he succeed on the mirage market though? We certainly shall see as men of the Geto household are said to be rather demanding and expectant. So far every woman that has entered into this house’s rows excelled with not only a grande skillset in music and literature but also in holding proper conversations to entertain audience. Additionally these women were able to continuously display more than perfect knowledge of their ranks in society and value to their partner. Though sir Suguru Geto holds quite the reputation for being much too prideful, causing him to be rather distant and disregarding towards others - especially those lower in rank. Will this apply to the dames and debutantes as well? We certainly will be kept on edge for this forthcoming quest.
Yours truly - Lady Whistledown
A huff escapes your mother’s lips as she laid this weeks print aside on the surface of your vanity, taking one last judging look at your appearance. A certain expression begins to take place on her visage, indicating that she is not yet fully content with your attire. Intrigued, you gather your nerves in order to speak up properly: „Mama, I fear you are not content with my looks so how may I improve them to your liking? Dare I recommend some striking jewelry?“. Your mother pauses with examining you to contemplate said thoughts of yours. After a moment of thinking, she responds: „My dear, that is certainly a sparkling idea. But what pieces shall we choose upon? We must keep your attire a certain amount of interesting, yet without making your look overbearing.“. „I share those very thoughts . As of now I dare say I look rather plain and I am afraid that colorless or neutral jewelry may not do much on improving the simplicity of my looks, instead it might further the dullness of it.“. Mindlessly you rise from your seat to leave for the room inside the manor where all the prized jewelry is stored and cared for.
As you are strutting down the hallway leading to the room, you glance over your shoulder to see your mother following suit with a pleased smile gracing her lips. Though you love your mother dearly, you can not deny the frustration lingering deep within your stomach. All throughout your life, you were raised to obey and please you parents every wishes in order to prepare you for mirage - according to Zenin’s standard of values of course. A certain amount of pressure constantly being laid upon you. You shall not disappoint and dishonor this family’s name ever by making a fool out of yourself or others. You shall experience quite the education; enough to uphold a proper conversation and interest potential suitors, enough to entertain audience with your social skillset during gatherings - but never shall you receive too much education to form a mind of your own and cause commotion with it. Do not speak up and do not talk back. Especially to your elders.
Once your reach the desired spot, you bring yourself to break away from those constricting feelings and to focus on the task at hand. Finding the right piece of jewelry is hard, especially from such a vast collection as that of your family. Rows and rows of silvers or golds either covered in sapphires, rubies, pearls, diamonds or emeralds are in front of you. Thus making it hard to choose from, especially the emeralds which your family is known for. Fully engulfed in the sheer beauty by the gems, you do not notice the presence of your brother Naoya until he clears his throat, making it known that he is in the room with you. His disapproving stare is burning through your skin, leaving residuals deep within your bones. More than enough to leave you with chills regularly.
Shaking off those unsettling stares, you redirect your attention and soon enough decide on a pair of sapphire studded earrings to try on along with a matching necklace. Once you applied the jewelry you study the improved look in the mirror, just to hear Naoya’s typical disregarding scoff: „Dear sister, I do not interfere with your looks much for neither do I care or share some interest in, though if you might ask me you should refrain from using anything blueish. It seems blue dulls your complexion by far, letting you resemble that of a corpse’s.“. „Naoya Zenin, this is certainly no way to treat a woman, especially your sister!“. „I am only stating the obvious. I am not at fault for my sister being so sensitive to critique. I suggest you improve that trait of yours instead of focussing on some jewelry in an attempt to do so with your looks. After all you did not inherit this family’s genes much; you are hideous. Your skills I will not fur-„. „Naoya Zenin, you are to leave this room immediately as I no longer tolerate such disdainful behavior! If you dare to refuse my very command then you leave me no other choice but to talk to your father regarding your allowances. In fact I will have him cut them.“. „But mother-„. „Enough! Now take your leave.“. As Naoya takes off, you relax a little. Letting out a breath you absentmindedly withheld. Though, his words keep circling your mind the time you turn your attention back to the mirror. It seems you can not let go of this hurtful comment and form judgement of your own. Sadly you do see his point, which makes you even more frustrated.
Just then you hear your father calling out for you, signaling you that you do not have much more time left to make choices. Unfortunately this only adds to your level of stress, that build up in the recent hours. So without another thought left to spare you quickly put the sapphires back in their place: „Oh mommy, this will simply not do! I hate to admit it, but my brother is right. Blue does not favor my complexion and actually makes me look like living death. Additionally it seems I do not have enough time left to make the right decision in jewelry as father already called out for me. I am afraid I will be at fault for us not making it to the announcement in time.“. „My dear do not fret too much. Sadly we do have not more time left, but I am certain you will select the right set of accessories soon. Just close your eyes for a moment and take a deep breath, then let your heart choose.“. Those words of wisdom offered you some reassurance and without a doubt you follow suit. Breathe in - breathe deep - breathe out et voilà, your gaze lands on emerald embedded earrings with an equally decent necklace to pair with. You can feel your whole face sparkling up upon applying them, knowing you just made the perfectly right decision. The emerald’s color accentuates your features nicely and boost your complexion. An additional prospect is that it adds some touch of color to your otherwise very dull ensemble of all white fabrics. Your mother can not help but let out a squeal of pure joy as she takes your gleeful appearance in: „My precious girl, these pieces of jewelry suit you so well! They make this whole attire of yours complete - making you shimmer like a gem yourself. A positive aspect that comes along with it is that you subtly represent your family’s color with it as well. Like a true Zenin indeed. Your father will be very pleased by that. But now we shall leave or else we might really be late.“. Just then your father calls out for you yet again, this time though you can hear the slight agitation in voice. Your mother already hushes you out the room and down the stairs, where you meet your fathers expectant gaze. „I am sorry daddy, I just put a lot of effort into looking perfectly presentable and also representable. I guess it took up more time than I initially calculated it would. I will make sure to keep that in mind the next time we will prepare for an event.“ Your fathers stern visage softens at your words: „It is alright, we are still on time though I would have appreciated it if you responded to my calls instead of letting me believe it fell to death ears. I was getting worried for a moment. Other than that I see you managed well. So far I am very content with your looks and I see that you added our house’s color to it - makes me really happy.“. Besides him is your brother trying his best to keep the already forming disgust on his face at bay. Instead in an attempt to to mask it he clears his throat, drawing the attention: „As much as I hate to interrupt this conversation, I might remind you we shall take our leave or I fear we will not arrive in time.“ Silently agreeing you step to the carriage to take a seat for the ride ahead. The ride itself is not long and also not filled with much talking as everyone is lost in their own thoughts based on the anxiety and stress swirling the air.
Though the moment you enter the grounds of the palace your thoughts seem to falter and you are mesmerized by the palace’s beauty of architecture. This interest keeps your nerves at bay until you are pulled out from your daydreams by your mother, pulling you inside the preparation room for the presentation. Your father and Naoya have split from you two prior, to secure themselves a good spot in the audience. After all Naoya still has to find himself a wife. Preparations for the parade are fleeting, only tucks and tufts of feathers and fabrics are left to do. Otherwise the looks are already set. Every young woman in attendance is clad in white, though there are attempts to from each to draw attention with details; Either with the arrangement and amount of feathers, the distinct scents of perfumes applied or the ever so bedazzling jewelry the decided on. Scanning the room, your eyes land on a head of raven hair not too far away.seeing that as your opportunity to calm your steadily rising nerves by striking up a small conversation with your friend prior to the parade. „Viscountess Iori, Utahime! It is such a delight to see you two.“. Utahime spins around, a bright smile latched on her lips: „Madame Zenin, Y/n - I am relieved to see you. Stress is steadily consuming me. So much so that for a second I felt like I was on the verge of crying.“. „I see what you are talking about, I actually feel the same way about this event and everything regarding it. Though dare I might say, that your attire is really stunning today.“. „Thank you very much, it is really kind of you. But I may say so about your ensemble as well - truly shimmering. I fear you are greater completion than I expected.“. „Truth be told, it will be very exciting for us. But I worry we are not the only ones in competence unlike lady Whistledown has reported.“ Looking around the room she agrees: „You certainly are right, I can spot several who have diamond worthy potential.“ While approximately 15 young ladies are adding finishing touches in attempts to calm their nerves, only a handful of them stand out - at least to you; one woman in particular. A striking aura to fit her upright posture, clad in a dress tailored to favor her already slander shape. Sadly your observations are disturbed by to footmen ordering the guests into positions, announcing we will parade alphabetically. Unfortunately you are the last in line to present themselves, adding only further to the stress. You know that as time goes by, it will be harder for the queen to focus and therefore making it harder for her to decide, especially if there are several shining young ladies. So what if she has already made her choice by the time you step foot into the very hall. Your patience begins waning resulting in your posture lacking necessary tension, but your mother aside you is quick to notice and reminds you of it. After collecting yourself and fixing your posture, your name is being called - indicating for you to parade.
Once you are making your way down to the queen, you take chance to check for familiar faces. You even manage to spot your father and Naoya, some of your cousins, viscount Iori and even some dukes you have heard of, but there is someone among them who catches your eyes - one you have not seen or heard of before. Tall and lean with hair black as ink cascading down his shoulders and onto his chest. His raven hair framing his face, pulling focus on his striking features matching his even complexion. Eyes sharp and lips so soft adding to his extraordinary facial structure, one unlike any other you have seen before. As if god himself carved this very man out of marble. Simply heavenly. To your demise though he seems to notice your stare and averts his gaze somewhere into the audience, his eyes narrowing. His facial expression switching from discontent to boredom occasionally. Feeling the blush of embarrassment building on your chest, you redirect your own gaze ahead. Upon arriving in front of the queen, you present her your long practiced greeting. „My my, what do we have here? Please rise so I can take a better look.“. You follow the queens order wordlessly. „Th emeralds you wear are very dazzling. I must admit it suits you well - they are accentuating your beauty. And as I recall these emeralds equal your family’s colors, am I right?“. „Yes, your majesty.“. „Mhmm, very sparkling indeed…“. With these words you are dismissed along with the rest of society for the queen has to take a break in order to close her diamond wisely.
Seeing as your parents are pleased with your behavior, you excuse yourself to go fetch some fresh a air on the terrace. There you find Utahime and enjoy some catching up before deciding to head back inside. But you are interrupted by Naoya who stands in the entrance to the hall leading back to the ballroom, blocking you from entering. Your brother lets Utahime pass, telling her you two will follow soon after. But something is off; it is unlikely for your brother to meet you unless it is either in his favor or to torment you: „Do tell brother, what brings you outside?“. „Am i not allowed to catch a breath of fresh air myself before accompanying my dear sister back to the hall?“. „There is no problem with that, though it seems very unlike you for you to be so caring. So what do you want to tell me this time?“. „Well it is not something I want to tell you but rather something I want to question you about.“. „Alright go ahead so we can return as fast as possible, I am sure the queen will announce the diamond soon.“. „Well then, what happened during the parade?“. Taken aback, you respond confused: „I do not know what your speaking of? I paraded perfectly, no tripping or loss of balance.“. Naoya begins to circle you, mustering you: „Hard for me to admit, but you did. Though I did not meant that. What I want to know is what your relationship with him is?“. „What do you mean? Which relationship? With whom?“. Naoya stops in front of you, taking a step closer to you: „Do not play dumb. I am speaking of Suguru Geto!“. „I swear I do not know whom you are talking about. I have not heard of a so called `Suguru Geto´ except in lady Whistledown’s article, I do not even know what he looks like.“. „Oh sister, this will not do so let me rephrase my question. The raven haired man I saw you staring at earlier - what is your relation to him?“. You scoff at his ridiculousness, deciding it is enough you make way for the hallway. „I am tired of this nonsense so I will return on my own.“. Stepping in, Naoya threatens you: „You will not or else I will share my suspicions with the rest of the family and ruin your very being like no-one else will. So tell me, are you involved in an affair with this man?“. „No, i am not involved with this man or anyone. I would not ever dare to even think about adultery. Are you content now?“. „No, no, no… then why was there a bush all over you? This usually only happens when two parties engaged in improper activities before…“. „Or this happens out of embarrassment. Embarrassment of him catching me staring.“. „But that is exactly what I was talking about? If you keep avoiding me, then I am afraid you leave me no there choice but to walk up to-„.
Luckily your father disrupts the two of you tough upon seeing the anger splashed across his face, you consider yourself not so lucky anymore: „Young lady just what do you think you are doing here? Catching some fresh air? Or rather having a chat with your brother? Whatever it is ends now and so does your reckless behavior. Just this morning I thought you will not cause commotion for once, but I was disappointed yet again. You missed the announcement - missed the chance of becoming the diamond and making up for all your missteps along the way. This will have consequences; for the both of you! Naoya you should only fetch her so why did I end up doing it myself instead?“. Naoya is the first to speak up: „I am sorry father, but she just threw a fit and got me involved into this. I am innocent, I swear!“. „Spare all your excuses for later, when we will discuss this thoroughly. Now let us return to the hall and fetch your mother. She already took over and congratulated the diamond in our name.“. Leaving you no option, he drags you down the hall way and into the ballroom to fetch your mother rather quickly before scurrying off into the carriage. The carriage ride home is filled with your father’s rage on what happened at the announcement. Your mother sits in silence besides him, disappointment all across her face and it does not seem to leave until hours later. Once your father finished with scolding you and your brother, you apologize thoroughly without trying to explain yourself as it will not change the situation for the better. Instead it will only worsen it, potentially earning you more punishment. When nothing else is left to say, your mother rises from her seat and takes word: „Although it was quite disappointing you were not elected as diamond of the season for obvious reasons, this situation does have it’s positive aspects. While I was engaging in conversations earlier, in the over heard people’s whispers about you. It seems that you have received the title of ´the emerald of the season´ from society. Many were mesmerized by you, at least that is what I heard duke Nanami say.“. Your fathers sour expression lifts to one a little lighter: „Well if that is not a pleasant surprise. So then you may get ready for we have to present the emerald at duke Gojo’s ball.“. With that you are dismissed from this family’s gathering, allowing you to get ready for the masquerade ball ahead. Though this time everything ran quicker and more smoothly.
So you find yourself in the carriage once more, this time though on your way to the Gojo estate. The ride itself is not as suffocating as the one before, letting you relax a little for all the dancing that will happen soon enough. Several minutes later you find yourself switching between conversations and dances with potential suitors. But not one who catches your eyes in sight, much to your disappointment. Otherwise everything is well; no man causes some sort of commotion by misbehavior and no one is making you uncomfortable. So far a good start into festivities. Engaging in social activities like this one does tire you out, you need to admit. So in order to clear your mind a bit and regain some energy, you decide to take a quick stroll around the hallways of the estate. You are aware that this behavior is not accepted in society but no one is there to catch or judge you because they are in fact all present inside the ballroom. So when you see a pair of doors ajar, you pay no mind and enter quickly. Inside your met with shelves full of books. And before you can skim through some, you light a few candles to be able to read. What you do not see though is someone slipping inside behind you, keeping watchful gaze on your every move.

The Champion's Babysitter
Pokemon x JJK AU
summary: you are the newest dragon-type gym leader, and you've just been tasked with babysitting the pokemon champion gojo satoru, who has not been taking his job seriously.
a.n.: fem reader, a couple of curse words, kinda slow burn romance, fluffy, cute pokemon interactions, 6.8k words. shoutout @silkspunweb for putting this AU in my head <3
~
“I’m sorry, could you please repeat that? I’m afraid I’m not following,” you asked, nerves overwhelming your senses as you stood before the four toughest pokemon trainers in the region: the Elite Four.
It was impossible not to be in awe of some of the world’s most renowned fighters. How could you just stand there, not shitting your pants, when you spent so many hours watching footage of their pokemon battles? You had the utmost respect for the four figures sitting before you.
Nanami Kento, the Steel-Type master
Okkotsu Yuta, the Dark-Type expert
Fushiguro Toji, the Poison-Type wielder
Iori Utahime, the Ice-Type genius
It was an honor to be granted a private audience with them upon their request. But your reverence was halted once Nanami began delivering the news to you.
“We are asking that you oversee the business of Gojo,” he said, looking you squarely in the eyes as he adjusted his glasses.
“Gojo, as in Gojo Satoru? Our current pokemon champion?” you asked incredulously, eyes flickering between the four people before you, desperate for clarification.
“The very same one,” Yuta answered, smiling at you sympathetically.
“What do you mean by oversee?” you continued, turning towards Utahime.
“As I’m sure you’ve already heard on the news, Champion Gojo has been neglecting his post as of late. Recent challengers have been showing up to battles to find him missing,” she responded, brows furrowing in distaste. The Frosslass at her side nodded her assent.
It was true, it’s been all over TV lately. The celebrated, undefeated champion has been ghosting any challengers. The footage that you see of him nowadays is of him lounging around at different cafes, snapping pictures of the sweets he’s indulging in.
Pathetic, you thought.
“His hedonism is causing a lot of uproar. It’s a huge pain in the ass,” Nanami added, as the others murmured in agreement.
“We’d like you to check in with him now and then…encourage him to take his position more seriously,” Yuta said, the gaze of his dusclops behind him unsettling you.
You blinked a few times.
“Why me?” you asked. The four exchanged loaded glances you struggled to decipher. You could’ve sworn that Yuta’s smile felt more mischievous than usual, like he knew something you didn’t.
“You’re one of the most promising young trainers we’ve seen in a long time. The gym leaders you’ve battled and your fellow peers have vouched for you as someone of great integrity, valor, and talent. We’ve seen it ourselves.” Utahime said, causing your chest to swell with pride.
“The decision to make you the newest Dragon-type gym leader was unanimous. We hope you don’t take that lightly,” Nanami revealed.
“Thank you, it means a lot to me,” you said. You’d worked hard your entire life to become a gym leader worthy of the Dragon-type pokemon you hold near and dear to your heart. But they were still dancing around why they wanted you to do anything with the champion.
“Forgive me for asking, but what can I do that the rest of you cannot?” you pressed, ignoring the bored yawn from Toji.
“Gojo won’t listen to us. But we believe he will at least find interest in a fellow Dragon-type specialist, especially one as strong as you,” Yuta responded.
It was common knowledge that while our champion could wield any type of pokemon, he favored Dragon-types. Not many could say the same, as most trainers found it difficult to work with the stubborn, overpowering nature that is Dragon-type pokemon.
Toji’s heavy sigh filled the room, the weedle around his shoulders tilting its head at you.
“Look kid, we’re asking you to be his babysitter. Follow him around, challenge him to battles, do whatever you need to get his ass back to work so he can stop being a pain in ours.” Toji stated gruffly, crossing his arms and leveling you with a look.
Nanami fired a look of quiet distaste in his direction, focusing back on you.
“My apologies for his tactlessness, but he’s not wrong. We know it’s a big task, but you’re the only one we can ask,” Nanami said, his Lucario nodding its head.
“You might even learn something from him. Few people can say they got to train with Champion Gojo,” Utahime pressed, quipping her brow.
She got you there. While you dedicated countless hours watching pokemon battles of each of the elite 4, you studied Gojo’s battles religiously. There was no documented battle of his that you didn’t know like the back of your hand, and no matter how many times you’d seen him fight, you always felt the same awe and respect watching his talent.
The elite 4 and their pokemon stared at you intensely, waiting for your response. How could you refuse, when some of the top trainers in the world were practically begging you for this favor?
“I’ll do it if you really think I can help,” you said, fiddling with your fingers nervously.
All of them - minus Toji - notably relaxed their shoulders, thanking you.
“We’ve synced up your pokedex with his so you can always locate each other. You have a pokemon capable of flying, yes?” Utahime said, handing you your updated pokedex. You nodded, slipping it into your pocket.
“Perfect. Why don’t you pay him a visit?” Yuta said, smiling angelically at you. It seemed like you didn’t have a choice, not with the way they were all looking expectantly.
“All right. I’ll forward updates in the coming weeks,” you said, nodding to the rest of them as you turned to leave.
Before you reached the exit, a soft paw pad touched your shoulder. You turned to face Nanami’s Lucario, which was holding out a can of lemonade in its paws. You reached out to grab the can, smiling at the pokemon.
“For me?” you asked, brows furrowing as the Lucario shook its head.
“For…Gojo?” you asked, and immediately the Lucario smiled and nodded.
“Alright, I’ll pass it to him. Thank you,” you said, waving as you left.
Once you were outside the building, you released a sigh. Salamence immediately popped out of his pokeball, letting out a mixture of chuffs and roars and he nudged you with his nose.
You laughed, placing your hand under his chin and scratching.
“I’m alright buddy, I promise,” you said. You were incredibly bonded to all of your pokemon, but Salamence had a special place in your heart. He has always been your proud protector, ever since you came across him when he was an injured, weak Bagon.
Flipping open the map on your Pokedex, you located Gojo near a seaside town.
“Alright, ready to fly bud?” you asked Salamence. He roared in excitement as you jumped onto his back.
~
The soothing music of the waves against the shore always calmed you. Before you became a gym leader, you often visited the beach to relax and let your water-types splash around.
You didn’t even need your pokedex to locate the champion, who was garnering attention from every person nearby as he sat at the local cafe. He was practically surrounded by people, the shine of his silvery hair being the only thing singling him out in a crowd so big.
There was only one trick up your sleeve that was a sure-fire way of getting a crowd’s attention. Grabbing two of your pokeballs, you allowed Kingdra and Gyrrados to come out into the water.
They both jumped in immediately, happily swimming around as you laughed.
“Alright you two, I need you both to execute plan sparkle,” you said. They voiced their agreement and immediately began performing a dual variation of the move dragon dance in the water, causing major splashes and ripples that began drawing the huge crowd of people away from Gojo and towards them.
You shot them a thumbs-up before making your way over to the champion. It almost pissed you off how nonchalant he looked, leaning back in his chair with his legs stretched out, like there wasn’t anywhere he should be. His famous luxray lay at his feet, curled up next to a plate of what looked like poke puffs. Once he spotted you, he rose to his full stature, positioning himself in front of his trainer in a protective stance. You offered the Luxray a treat from your pocket, and the pokemon gently took it in his mouth before retreating to Gojo’s side.
“Champion Satoru Gojo,” you began, squaring your shoulders.
He glanced up at you immediately, his cerulean eyes peeking out behind a pair of black sunglasses that sat perched at the end of his nose. His silvery hair was down, brushing against his eyes ever so slightly from the sea breeze.
A hint of surprise ran across over his features, fast enough that you almost didn’t catch it.
“My name is-”
“I know who you are, dragon prodigy,” Gojo said, calling you by your nickname.
He knows who I am?
“May I ask why our esteemed champion is here, instead of facing all the challengers you have lined up to defeat you?” you asked, crossing your arms.
He smiled at you, sending a stampede of butterfrees down your body. Gojo wasn’t famed for just his prowess in pokemon battle, no. He was one of the most famous champions for his beauty, especially with that signature smile of his.
“Looking to battle me, are you?” he said, crossing his arms over his head as he tilted his head down to get a good look at you.
“I’d never turn down a battle, but I’m not interested in your title, champion,” you said, a note of disdain in your voice. He raised a brow at you, as if he couldn’t believe a trainer didn’t want to become the coveted title of pokemon champion.
“Oh? Then why have you tracked me down here, miss prodigy,” he asked, reaching down to pet his Luxray.
“I’ve been tasked with making sure you get back to work. Please return to your post so I can return to my gym,” you said, failing at keeping the bite away from your words.
He stretched his long arms up, humming to himself as he considered your command.
“How about this? If you can retrieve the one thing I’m craving right now, I’ll return to the Pokemon League for today,” he said cheekily.
“How am I supposed to know what you’re cr-”
“You have 5 minutes. Good luck!”
Bastard.
You trudged back towards the beach, not bothering to waste your time on a fool’s errand. You were already mentally preparing your apology letter to the elite 4.
At least Kingdra and Gyrrados are having fun, you thought to yourself.
Your two water types continued to dance around in the water, thriving off the attention of all of the onlookers.
You felt his pokeball rattle against its spot in your pack before Salamence came out, seeming to sense your frustration.
“Can you believe it, Sal? The unbeatable Gojo Satoru is wasting his time here and ignoring his job. Think about how many people look up to him as champion!” you exclaimed, pacing as Salamence nodded his head.
That’s why they say never meet your heroes.
“He asked me to find his craving in 5 minutes. How the hell am I supposed to know what he’s craving? I barely met the man. I just know he likes sweets from all those interviews,” you admitted, shaking your head.
Salamence suddenly began nudging at the backpack you laid on the ground, tipping it over until its contents began to spill out.
“Hey knock it off bud, are you hungry or something?” you asked, reaching to gather the spilled contents. You paused when you laid eyes on the can of lemonade given to you by Nanami’s Lucario.
“There’s no way,” you mumbled to yourself, holding the can in your hands.
Worth a shot, I guess, you thought.
“Salamence, return.” Once your dragon was safely tucked back into his pokeball, you strode back to the champion, placing the can of lemonade on the table before him.
Gojo looked at you incredulously, then eyed the lemonade with a look you struggled to pinpoint.
“Satisfied?” you asked, bracing yourself for a rejection.
Instead, the sincere smile gracing his features took you by surprise. The way he picked it up made it seem like it was something precious, and suddenly the champion looked much younger.
“I am,” he said, moving to stand up to his impressive height. He towered over you, forcing you to look up as he stepped into your space. You gulped as you took notice of how stupidly handsome this man was.
“You win for today. But I’m sure I’ll see you again soon,” he drawled, stunning you with a wink.
You watched silently as he walked away, his enormous Charizard appearing before him. You gawked at the beautiful pokemon, the dragon-type lover in you urging you to come closer.
He was gone within seconds, leaving you with a lingering funny feeling, especially after seeing that last smile. It was nothing like the smiles you were familiar with - the arrogant smiles he wore after each victory, the charming smiles he put on for each interview. You grew lost in thought as you tried swallowing the urge to make him smile like that again.
What did I get myself into?
~
“Altaria, use peck!” you yelled, watching your pokemon dive toward the challenger’s Machoke. The Machoke stumbled back with the force of the hit, but quickly righted itself.
“Machoke, use low sweep!” your challenger yelled, his pokemon wasting no time in kicking out its feet against your Altaria.
Your pokemon dodged skillfully, evading the assault with minimal effort. After a couple more turns, your Altaria finished off the opponent’s pokemon with a final peck.
“And the winner is, our Gym Leader! Better luck next time, trainer Itadori,” your gym assistant said.
The boy named Itadori Yuji sank to his knees dramatically, placing his head in his hands as he yelled out in sorrow.
“You fought well Itadori,” you said, offering your hand to him.
“Wait, really?!” he exclaimed, taking your hand. His look of despair was immediately replaced with hope, reminiscent of a puppy.
“Yes, that Machoke of yours is quite strong. My advice is to work a bit more on type matchups,” you said, smiling as he eagerly noted your tips.
“Alright, just you wait! I’ll train even harder and I’ll beat you in no time,” he exclaimed, the fire once again alight in his eyes.
“I look forward to it,” you said genuinely, watching as he ran out of the gym in record time. And you meant it. While he was a little sloppy, he fought bravely, and with raw power you haven’t seen in a while. You could definitely see him challenging Gojo one day.
You reached up to stroke Altaria’s feathers, commending her for another battle well done.
“Okay, the rest of you can come out now,” you said aloud, smiling as the other 5 pokemon in your party came out of their pokeballs and began cheering for your victory.
Suddenly, Salamence began growling towards the platform where you usually held your battles. A familiar figure sat perched on the steps, smiling down at you like you were old friends.
“Congrats on the win, dragon prodigy,” Gojo said, unaffected by the rising hostility from Salamence.
“Easy bud, it's okay,” you said, patting his side.
“How long have you been here?” you said, struggling to comprehend how he evaded notice.
“Long enough to see you bullshit that battle with Yuji,” he said, pissing you off with his infuriating smile.
“Excuse me?” you asked, debating on letting Salamence go off on him.
“With your skillset, you’re capable of defeating his pokemon with a single move from each of yours. Yet each of his pokemon lasted longer than they should’ve,” he said meaningfully, his long steps quickly eating up the distance between you two.
“Why is that?” he asked, suddenly much closer to you, ignoring the snarling from Salamence.
You looked straight into his blue eyes, intrigued by how they were flicking back and forth between your own, studying you.
“Every time I defeat a challenger that way, it crushes their spirit. I’m still beating them, but I’m giving them a bit more confidence and practice this way,” you answered, turning away from him.
It broke your heart to see the look of utter defeat on each challenger’s face when you actually fought even close enough to your full strength.
Gojo hummed, shaking his head at you.
“You’re setting them up for failure. You’re giving these kids the false hope that their pokemon are strong enough to stand against your own, then when they finally get to the elite 4, they won’t stand a chance,” he said, piercing you with his words.
“Then they won’t have a single hope against me,” he continued coldly, watching for your reaction.
You never thought about it that way, how taking it easy on your challengers could be hurting them more than helping them.
“My advice: don’t hold back. I’d love to watch that beautiful fighting style of yours when you’re serious,” he said lowly, placing something cold in your hands before walking away.
You looked down at your hands quizzically, finding a can of lemonade.
“It’s the best after a fight!” Gojo yelled over his shoulder before he left.
You stood in silence, mulling over his words over and over again.
~
You slid your pokedex back into your pocket after confirming you found the right building.
Pokemon Trainer’s School was written in bold letters on the first sign you saw.
Your entrance into the building turned a few heads, and you earned a good amount of wide-eyed smiles and points as you searched the building for a certain champion.
“It’s the 8th gym leader!”
“The dragon prodigy is here!”
“Oh my gosh let's go get an autograph!”
You smiled and waved politely at each of them, making your way through each room until you finally spotted Gojo, standing in front of a chalkboard of a small class of students.
His eyes flickered to yours, but he continued talking as if he were expecting you.
“In order for you to defeat dragon-type pokemon, it’s best to use Ice and Fairy-type pokemon. But make sure to study the types of your opponent, and be weary of dual-types,” he said.
You narrowed your eyes at him, which he of course ignored.
“Ah, perfect timing. Class, we have a special treat for today! A lesson from the very own dragon gym leader herself!” Gojo announced, gesturing to you.
You froze as 6 heads turned your way, various levels of shock written across each of their faces.
“A lesson from the gym leader herself, so cool!” the boy you recognized as Itadori yelled, pumping his fist.
You plastered on a polite smile as you walked up to the front towards Gojo, leaning into his space while the students were buzzing with chatter.
“Teaching them how to defeat me, are you? You’re such a dick,” you said quietly, nudging him in the ribs.
“Worried?” he countered, the grin evident in his voice.
“You wish,” you snapped, trying not to smile. It didn’t bother you, truly. What you were really trying to wrap your head around was why the elite champion was spending his afternoon teaching such a small class of trainers instead of battling his own challengers.
“Perfect, then you don’t mind teaching us a lesson about how to beat dragon types then right? Thank you!” he said, moving aside to sit amongst his students. You flipped him off before any of the kids could see, then focused your attention on the students staring at you expectantly.
“Alright, dragon types 101 then,” you said, launching into a lesson explaining almost everything you knew about your favorite type of pokemon.
The students listened attentively, surprising you with their engagement and the thoughtfulness of their questions. Class flew by in the blink of an eye, and soon enough you were alone in the classroom with Gojo.
He let out a whistle as you sat next to him on top of one of the desks.
“You’re a natural. Ever thought about teaching?” he said.
“Not really. But that was nice actually, those kids are very smart,” you admitted, smiling at the champion.
From the way his eyes widened ever so slightly, it must have thrown him off, seeing you smile for the first time like that.
“They are. I’ll bet you the future champion is among them,” he said sincerely, smiling warmly for once.
It tickled at your chest, the way his different expressions made you feel. You felt greedy to see more sides of him.
“Is that why you’re here, instead of doing your job?” you asked softly, nudging your knee against him.
“I’d much rather be here training these kids to become the best, than have to waste my time battling a bunch of rowdy upstarts who would abuse the champion title,” he said truthfully.
“Is that why you’re avoiding battles? Scared someone will beat you?” you asked curiously, studying the way his long lashes fanned against his cheek when he looked down.
“Nah. More like I don’t want to bother with kids who have zero chance beating me. It’s way more fun to train these kids to become strong enough to beat me. I’d be happy to hand over my title to one of them, someday,” he said, nudging you back.
His words made you pause.
“That was the most decent thing I’ve ever heard you say,” you said, thoughtfully, admiring the way the light of the late afternoon made his hair seem to glow.
“That's rude as hell,” he said, causing you to burst out in laughter. By the time you finished, you realized he’d been staring at you, making a blush creep up your cheeks.
“What?” you said, tucking a strand of hair behind your ear nervously.
“What do I have to do to make you laugh like that again?” he asked genuinely, unleashing a hoard of butterfrees in your stomach.
You raised your brows, waiting for him to crack a joke or say something stupid again. But he didn’t, he was serious.
“Go back to the Pokemon League and do your job, then I’ll give you an award,” you said, smiling at the look of interest on his face.
“Hmm, since you were so kind to teach my kids a lesson, I’ll go back to work,” he said, rising up to his impressive stature.
“But I expect my reward to be paid in advance,” he said, leaning down so his face was inches away from yours.
You blushed furiously as his eyes flickered down to your lips.
Clearing your throat, you calmed yourself, plastering the sweetest smile you could muster on your lips.
“Close your eyes then,” you said as silkily as you could, trailing your left hand up his arm.
The champion froze, eyes widening before he complied and shut them. You fought a giggle before pressing the can of lemonade against his lips, enjoying the way his eyes shot open in surprise.
He grabbed the can from your hand before you dashed out of the room, giggling at your prank. You heard his hearty laughter echoing across the halls before you left.
~
It was a rare day off you had to yourself. No gym challengers, no chasing Gojo, just you and your Pokemon lounging at the beach.
The elite 4 sent you a thank you letter, claiming Gojo’s attendance had gone up significantly since you started checking up on him. They told you to take the week off, and you gladly did. There was an odd pang in your chest, though. You had become accustomed to seeing the champion, used to facing the different challenges he gave you that would get him back to work. He was undoubtedly annoying and cocky, yet you dared to find yourself missing him and the way he made you laugh.
Beach. Enjoy the beach, you urged yourself.
Kingdra and Gyrrados were racing each other in the water, joined by a couple of wild water pokemon. Altaria was soaring with a flock of wingulls, showing off her speed. Goodra and Garchomp were playing in the sand, creating what looked like a giant hole. Salamence was content to be laying at your side, sunbathing next to you.
You broke out of your daze once Altaria started nudging you with her wing.
“What’s up Tari? Are you already done flying?” you said, sitting up as you pressed your sunglasses to the top of your head.
You were taken aback to see that the sunny skies had been completely replaced with angry stormclouds, threatening to unleash their rain at any second.
“Oh geez, it’s about to start pouring huh,” you said, quickly gathering up your things.
You returned the rest of your party to their pokeballs, where they would be safe from the incoming storm.
The rain began coming down heavily, and you dashed out of the sand to take cover under a tree.
An ear-piercing cry startled you, and you turned to see two kids standing next to rocks by the shore.
“Hey you two! It’s dangerous to be out here when it's storming!” you yelled, walking towards the young kids.
They turned their identical faces towards you, both streaked with tears.
“Please rescue our Eevee!” one of them cried, clinging to you.
“She was swimming when the storm started. We can’t find her anywhere!” the other said.
You knelt to be eye-level with them, grabbing one of their hands in each of yours.
“I’ll find her for you, okay? But I need you both to stay hidden. It’s dangerous when it rains, the stronger pokemon tend to come out,” you warned.
“Salemence!” you yelled, watching as your pokemon appeared before you.
The twins looked at him with a mix of fear and awe as he quickly lifted his wings to shield them from the rain.
“I need you to stay with him okay? He’ll keep you safe while I rescue your Eevee,” you said. They nodded, huddling together against your pokemon.
Salamence immediately roared in protest, undoubtedly refusing to leave your side.
“I need you to protect them Sally, please. I’ll be okay, I promise,” you said, dropping your backpack next to him. You grabbed the mouthpiece that allowed you to breathe underwater, then dove into the sea before you had a chance to chicken out.
The freezing temperature of the water was a shock to your system. You had to rescue this Eevee fast if you wanted to avoid frostbite. You had honed your body to withstand extreme climates as you trained alongside your pokemon, but even you knew you couldn’t last long in this weather.
You swam furiously, dodging every pokemon within your radius. Not all of them would charge at you to battle, but the rain made it practically impossible to distinguish which pokemon was what, and you didn’t want to risk finding out. While treading water, you spotted a blur of brown on a group of rocks.
Swimming closer, you spotted a little Eevee, soaked wet and shivering. The poor thing looked up at you with sad, scared eyes as you hopped out of the water to approach it.
“It’s okay little one, I’m here to rescue you okay?” you said through chattering teeth. You struggled to feel your fingers, but you forced yourself to take out the pokeball you borrowed from the twins anyways.
“I’ll get you back to your trainer. Eevee, return,” you said, breathing a sigh of relief once the pokemon was safely back into its ball.
Tucking the ball inside a small pouch you carried, you dove back into the water. To your dismay, a school of tentacruels were gathering near the surface of the water, and you knew them to be aggressive. You’d have to dive deeper into the water to avoid being spotted, but you were running out of time before the cold would give incapacitate you.
Mustering all your strength, you swam the distance back to shore, unable to gather the energy to do anything except lean against a rock just beyond the reach of the water.
Salamence ran to you immediately, the two twins hot on his trail. Once he reached you, he whined and nudged at you, but you were too cold to move. The continued assault of the rain didn’t help the excruciating chill you were feeling.
“S-she’s s-safe,” you bit out, shakily placing Eevee’s pokeball back in the hands of the twins, who cried as they thanked you.
“S-sal, please g-get them t-to the p-pokemon c-center,” you said, your shivers becoming so violent it was near impossible to talk.
Salamence whined, refusing to move. He covered all three of you with his wings, and you had no strength left to chide him for ignoring you.
You vaguely heard the twins speaking to you, asking if you were okay. But you could barely register their words with the cold seeping into your bones, numbing your brain and making you feel sleepy.
“Shit,” you heard from a familiar voice. You felt his hand against your cheek before he released a hiss.
“You’re fucking freezing,” he said, and you cracked your eyes open enough to see the panic racing against his beautiful features.
“G-gojo?” you chattered, wondering if the hypothermia was getting to your brain and making you see things.
“Salamence, please get the kids to safety,” Gojo asked. You heard Salamence growl in response.
“I promise I will help your trainer, but I can’t do that if I need to help them too. Please,” he said, surprising you with how softly he spoke to your pokemon.
It must have worked, as you heard the beating of his wings that meant he took flight. Probably to the nearest Pokemon Center to bring the twins to safety.
“Bear with me for a sec,” Gojo said, lifting you up with one arm under your legs and one across your lower back.
“I’m f-fucking c-cold,” you said, shaking violently in his arms, wrapping your arms around his neck.
“I know baby. I’ll get you warm,” he said, breaking out into a sprint. You clung to him as much as you could, releasing your grip once the sound of the rain became muffled.
He set you down gently against what felt like a wall of rock. The cold bit into your skin, but at least it was dry here.
Gojo knelt to face you, taking your face in his hands. You leaned your cheek into his warm palms, feeling overwhelmed with relief at seeing his familiar face.
“I need to get you out of your wet clothes, okay?” he said, not moving until you nodded. Once you did, he made quick work of your outfit, stripping you down until you were completely bare before him.
Any embarrassment you felt was overshadowed by the determination in his eyes, the hard set to his mouth that you rarely ever caught without a smile. A part of you wished he’d crack a joke or say something stupid to piss you off and lighten the mood, but he didn’t.
Reaching into his pack, he swiped a hand towel and began silently running it across your body, drying you swiftly as you continued to shiver.
His cerulean eyes shimmered with focus as he stripped off his own clothing, slipping his own shirt over your frame. You sighed with relief as the warm, dry fabric of his shirt soothed your chilled skin, hanging over you like a dress and enveloping you with his clean scent.
“Better?” he asked, taking your frozen fingers into his hands, and exhaling onto them to warm them up.
You nodded, warmth filling your body with how gently he was treating you. Your eyes traveled town his toned torso, admiring how his body seemed sculpted out of marble.
“But won’t you be c-cold?” you asked, wrapping your arms tightly against yourself.
“Worry about yourself, prodigy. Your lips are blue,” he said, settling himself behind you in only his pants and boots.
He placed his hands onto your hips, lifting you slightly and settling you on his lap. You gasped as the warmth of his front began seeping into your back, his arms cradling you and he continued to wordlessly rub your hands between his. It felt incredibly intimate.
He’s just doing it to save your life, calm down, you thought to yourself.
He paused for a second, reaching his hand to grab something from his pocket.
“Charizard,” he said. Within seconds, the pokemon appeared before your eyes, staring down at you.
“We need your fire. Please,” Gojo said, jerking his head down towards you.
Charizard nodded, laying down on its stomach, positioning the tip of its tail in front of you and Gojo. The fire at the tip of its tail provided you with immediate relief.
After a while, the shivering racking your body subsided, and your teeth finally stopped chattering.
“Thank you. Both of you,” you said quietly, breaking the silence. Charizard made a sound that you took as “you’re welcome, I guess,” and Gojo’s arms around you tightened.
“You could’ve died, you know,” Gojo said lowly, his voice tickling the shell of your ear.
“I know,” you answered, squeezing his hands that held yours.
“Why would you put yourself at risk like that?” he asked more calmly than you’d expected, rubbing slow circles into your palms.
“I couldn’t just leave their Eevee out there. It would’ve died,” you said, observing the rain still heavily pouring outside of the cave. There’s not a single doubt in your mind that their Eevee would’ve lost it’s life had you not saved it, either from drowning or from hypothermia.
“Why didn’t you have your pokemon help you? You have water types,” Gojo pressed, leaning forward to rest his chin on your shoulder, causing you to shiver.
“I couldn’t risk any of them getting injured. They’re too precious to me,” you said.
Gojo heaved a heavy sigh, the warmth of his exhale tickling across the sensitive skin near your nape.
“You and your bleeding heart,” he said, a mixture of resignment and admiration in his voice.
“Can’t say I wouldn’t have done the same. But I would’ve at least called for help first,” he said, making you laugh.
“Right, how did you know to find me here?” you asked, warm enough to turn in his lap to face him. Your breath caught as you realized just how close he was to you, and you couldn’t help your eyes as they lingered on his perfectly pink lips.
You’d never been close enough to him before to see the little flecks of silver that made his eyes shine. His silvery hair was slightly damp from the rain, a few strands curling around his face that made him seem younger. He was devastatingly beautiful.
He reached out to tuck a stray piece of your hair behind your ear.
“I just had a sudden urge to see you. I’ve become so used to seeing your pretty face show up everywhere I go, that I got lonely when you stopped,” he said honestly. You smiled.
“Imagine my surprise when I get here and you’re freezing to death. You really scared me back there,” he said, his throat bobbing.
He was frightened for you. He saved you. He cared about you.
You leaned forward, gingerly wrapping your arms around his neck in a tight hug. He returned it immediately, wrapping his hands across your shoulders. His hands traced small circles into your skin, as if he needed to keep touching you to make sure you were still there.
“I’m sorry. Thank you,” you whispered into his ear, rubbing your cheek against the silky skin of his shoulder.
The two of your relaxed in the silence, the sound of the rain and Charizard’s breathing becoming strangely comforting.
The sound of a familiar roar shook you from your thoughts, as Salamence landed at the front of the cave, a package in his mouth.
“Sally!” you yelled, attempting to get up from Gojo’s lap. His long fingers grasped your hips, tugging you back down to him.
“You’re not warm enough yet. Stay,” he said, earning him a warning growl from Salamence.
Salamence shook off the rain at the entrance of the cave, walking towards you. Him and Charizard exchanged a few snarls, but neither of them actually made any moves towards the other.
You stuck your arm out, and Salamence stuck his nose against your palm.
“You okay bud? You’re soaked,” you said, feeling the chill from the rain on his skin. He chuffed, depositing the package in his mouth beside you.
Gojo unwrapped it, finding a set of dry clothes and a few towels. The pokemon centers usually prepared these packages for extreme weather, and the twins must have alerted one of the nurses to send him off with one.
“Good job,” Gojo said, reaching out his hand to pat Salemence. To your complete surprise, Salamence accepted his touch, closing his eyes contently as Gojo scratched his chin.
“Let’s get you changed and head out. I’d rather get you checked out to be safe first, that okay?” Gojo asked, rubbing his hands up and down your arms, checking how warm you were.
You nodded, wishing he would never stop touching you.
~
Luckily, you narrowly avoided hypothermia or frostbite thanks to Gojo. You were able to recover quickly, and before you knew it you were back at your platform inside of your gym.
“How many challengers do we have today?” you asked your gym assistant, feeding Garchomp a pokepuff.
“Um, one,” he said, eyes darting left to right nervously.
“Just one?” you questioned, noticing how your assistant looked more anxious than usual. You were used to battling 4-5 challengers a day, making sure to give your pokemon ample rest between. It was unusual for you to only have one battle.
“Yes ma’am. He requested he be the only one,” your assistant said, fiddling with his pokedex.
“Requested? Who the hell does this guy think he is,” you said, glaring at the trembling teenager. It was very bold to request to be the only challenger at a gym - it usually implied that the trainer thought very highly of themselves.
“The champion,” Gojo said, stepping up from the staircase, smirking at you cockily.
You furrowed your brows as you stared at the Champion. He was actually dressed in his fighting attire - a dark blue zip-up with his collar popped up, and matching pants. You had to admit he looked damn good in it, even though he looked great in everything.
“You’re challenging me today?” you asked, placing you hands on your hips as you gawked at him in disbelief. To your dismay, Salamence came barreling up to him, nuzzling his side like they were old friends.
“Yup,” he said, happily complying with Salamence’s demands for pets. Gojo walked up to you, stopping just a few feet before you.
“I challenge you, dragon prodigy. If I win, you’ll let me take you out on a date,” he said, flashing an infuriatingly bright smile at you as he winked.
You threw your head back as you shook with laughter. Only he would be extra enough to challenge you to a battle in order to ask you out.
“You’re on, champion,” you said, mirroring his own grin with your own. Salamence roared in excitement, undoubtedly itching to face off with Gojo’s Charizard.
“And don’t you dare hold back on me baby, cuz I sure as hell won’t be holding back on you,” he said, readying the pokeball in his hands.
“I wouldn’t dare. Lets go, Salemence!” you said, watching your pokemon ready his stance in front of you.
But you knew you had already lost - because you were going out with him regardless of the outcome of this battle.

“Seems like the dragon gym leader succeeded,” Yuta said, smiling at the news article on his pokedex.
“Indeed. Gojo agreed to stop ditching work as long as we invested more funds into training schools,” Nanami said, kicking a ball back and forth with his Lucario.
“Oh, I was talking about her finally dating Gojo. But it was great that she helped us get him back to work,” Yuta said, showing Nanami the article he was looking at.
Newest Dragon-type Gym Leader spotted holding hands with Pokemon Champion Gojo!
The ends of Nanami’s lips curved up as he smiled, shaking his head.
“It’s about time. He hasn’t shut up about her for years,” Nanami said. Yuta’s light laughter filled the room as he handed his Dusclops an oran berry.
“By the way, why did you have Lucario send her that can of lemonade the first time she came here?” Yuta asked.
“Ah, that,” Nanami began, patting Lucario on the head.
“Gojo got that brand every time he won a battle, back when we were teenagers. I figured it would help her make a good first impression,” he said. Yuta laughed once more.
“Looks like it worked.”

[IDOLiSH7] [Part 6] Chapter 13: Towards the Promised Hour
6.13.1. - Those days passed by
Takanashi Tsumugi: And thus the day of “Black or White Live Showdown” has come.
Takanashi Tsumugi: Good morning, everyone.
Nanase Riku: Good morning, manager.
Yotsuba Tamaki: Morning!
Rokuya Nagi: Good morning! It’s finally the long-awaited morning, isn’t it?
Takanashi Tsumugi: Yes! Today, it will finally be time for “Black or White Live Showdown”.
Nikaidou Yamato: Yeah.
Izumi Mitsuki: That’s true.
Takanashi Tsumugi: Ever since I learnt about “New Black or White” until now…
Takanashi Tsumugi: There was no time when I didn’t think about this day.
Takanashi Tsumugi: I was wondering if everyone else actually felt like that, too. How is it for you?
Ousaka Sougo: That’s true… For me, it was especially about the new song. In the back of my mind, I was always thinking about it.
Izumi Mitsuki: Aah, I get that. Even while going about my life, I’d be like, “Aah, that idea just now might be nice”.
Izumi Mitsuki: I was thinking “I might be able to use that in the live” a lot.
Nanase Riku: I was imagining it before I went to sleep, too! In my head, I’ve done this year’s Black or White about seven times already!
Rokuya Nagi: Me, too! We won and everyone congratulated us!
Yotsuba Tamaki: Me, too, me, too! Sometimes, the setlist changes too.
Izumi Iori: Please don’t change it for no reason.
Nikaidou Yamato: You’re worried because the time where you can’t change it anymore has come. Like “Is this setlist fine…?”
Ousaka Sougo: I get that. I changed up the order in my head and did some trial and error…
Izumi Iori: It’s a perfect setlist. It’ll be fine.
Takanashi Tsumugi: Riku-san, Tamaki-san, please try to recall the stage the two of you imagined.
Nanase Riku: Uhm…
Yotsuba Tamaki: Like this?
Takanashi Tsumugi: Tonight, IDOLiSH7 will be on a stage that’s even more wonderful than that one.
Nanase Riku: Manager…
Takanashi Tsumugi: That special stage performance that everyone took their time to create…
Takanashi Tsumugi: I’m sure it will be a live that reaches the fans’ hearts!
Takanashi Tsumugi: To everyone who’s been attending our lives with so much love and enthusiasm…
Takanashi Tsumugi: I am so grateful!
Takanashi Tsumugi: The real event is today, but the days leading up to it were a very precious time to me, like an irreplaceable treasure.
Takanashi Tsumugi: I learned a lot from being able to create a live from scratch together with everyone.
Takanashi Tsumugi: More than anything, it was really fun and I’m so happy we were able to do this!
Rokuya Nagi: OH… Me, too. I am very, very happy.
Nikaidou Yamato: Me, too. Coming up with everything from the theme of the live to the setlist together was fun.
Nikaidou Yamato: It might be an exaggeration since the competition hasn’t been decided yet, but I have the feeling that we are creating the culmination of who we are.
Takanashi Tsumugi: Yamato-san…
Nikaidou Yamato: I remember how we got started.
Nikaidou Yamato: When I heard it was gonna be an audition, I was planning to walk out that door.
Izumi Mitsuki: That’s right… You tried to leave as if you were just letting us pass.
Nikaidou Yamato: I didn’t want to become an idol… But it’s different now.
Nikaidou Yamato: Thanks for stopping me, manager.
Nikaidou Yamato: I should be thanking you, but…
Nikaidou Yamato: Tonight, I’ll make these guys win.
Takanashi Tsumugi: …Yamato-san…
Nanase Riku&Yotsuba Tamaki: Waaah…!
Rokuya Nagi: Oh my god…
Ousaka Sougo: Wow, Yamato-san’s cool…!
Nikaidou Yamato: Now, now, don’t get too excited.
Izumi Mitsuki: This old man finally said it.
Izumi Iori: Seems like he is finally realizing his role as the leader.
Nikaidou Yamato: Please be a bit nicer, Izumi brothers. Well then, getting back to the point…
Nikaidou Yamato: I’ll show you how the idols you, as our manager, named IDOLiSH7 become the number one in Japan.
Nikaidou Yamato: Thank you for putting all your effort into planning and preparing for the live despite being so busy.
Nikaidou Yamato: Once we go on stage, it’s our job. Leave it to onii-san.
Takanashi Tsumugi: …Yes…!
Takanashi Tsumugi: From the bottom of my heart, I am proud to celebrate this day together with everyone!
Nanase Riku: Manager! Give us your support until the end!
Nanase Riku: The one who first told us to do our best was our manager, right?
Nanase Riku: Please cheer us on like you did back then!
Takanashi Tsumugi: Yes… I will!
Takanashi Tsumugi: Iori-san!
Izumi Iori: Yes.
Takanashi Tsumugi: Yamato-san!
Nikaidou Yamato: Yeah.
Takanashi Tsumugi: Mitsuki-san!
Izumi Mitsuki: Yeah!
Takanashi Tsumugi: Tamaki-san!
Yotsuba Tamaki: Yo!
Takanashi Tsumugi: Sougo-san!
Ousaka Sougo: Yes!
Takanashi Tsumugi: Nagi-san!
Rokuya Nagi: Yes!
Takanashi Tsumugi: Nanase-san!
Nanase Riku: Yeah!
Takanashi Tsumugi: I love IDOLiSH7 more than anything in the world! Please do your best…!
IDOLiSH7: Yeah…!!
–
Woman: Waa… So many people…! Aah…. So that’s what it feels like at a live?…
Woman: This is not the time to be impressed! I wonder if I can still get live goods…
Woman: Ah, that person might be a fan of Riku-kun. And that one seems to be a ŹOOḼ fan!
Woman: Everyone is smiling… Everyone looks really happy! …I’m getting excited as well!
Woman: I decided on it on a whim, but I’m glad I applied for tickets and got to come here…
Passerby A: I’m glad I could come today~! I’m looking forward to it so much I could die!
Passerby B: I’ve kinda been too nervous to sleep for a week!
Passerby A: Ahaha! For a week!
Woman: Fufu… Everyone’s saying the same thing. I’m kind of relieved.
Woman: We like the same things and we’re looking forward to the same thing; it’s like everyone here is friends.
Woman: Alright! Let’s have lots of fun! I hope everyone else does, too…!
Woman: So that everyone here moves toward the most happy new year!
--
Mage Takara: Haa… I couldn’t sleep…
Mage Takara: Thinking that TRIGGER is going to sing the song I wrote today…
Mage Takara: Oh my god… I said it… Even though it’s top secret information…! I gotta stop breathing!!
Mage Takara: …Waah… I almost died…. Kujou Tenn…
Mage Takara: Yaotome Gaku… Tsunashi Ryuunosuke… Okay, I calmed down…
Mage Takara: When I’m nervous, saying TRIGGER’s names is the best… Oh my god… I might die…
Older Sister: Oh my god, I might die… Do you think ŹOOḼ will win today!? Torao-kun is so cool!
Girl: Are you okay, onee-chan!? The one who will win is IDOLiSH7! I’m glad I get to see Riku-kun…!
Mage Takara: …Those sisters are amazing… They’re able to hold a conversation on the edge of that line…
Nervous Man: I feel kind of bad… Even though you invited me…
Sunohara Ruri: You’re fine, you’re fine! Please support your future brother-in-law! I want to introduce you later.
Nervous Man: W-we can do it another time. Since it’ll be right after a big job.
Sunohara Ruri: But Yuki-san wanted to meet you as well.
Nervous Man: I’m a stranger to Yuki-san, so why…
Sunohara Ruri: I’m looking forward to Re:vale-san’s live! I hope they can stay Japan’s number one!
--
Mage Takara: …They have matching rings… I’m a fan of Re:vale as a couple…
Mage Takara: It would’ve been nice if I could’ve brought my girlfriend. I don’t have one, though.
Mage Takara: Ah… a beautiful blonde IDOLiSH7 fan. Maybe a RabbiTuber…
Thorvald: <Well then, Prince Seto. Until I enter the venue, I will continue to provide live coverage.>
Seto Ranvalt von Northmeir: <Yeah. I’ll leave it to you.>
Thorvald: <This is the venue where today’s “New Black or White” will be held. There’s a takoyaki shop over there.>
Seto Ranvalt von Northmeir: <Oh. Is there a any connection between lives and takoyaki?>
Thorvald: <There isn’t- This is the live t-shirt. Later on, I’ll show you how it looks when it’s worn.>
Seto Ranvalt von Northmeir: <This is a beautiful design. I appreciate it.>
Thorvald: <Thank you very much. On behalf of the merchandise production team, I would like to express my gratitude.>
Seto Ranvalt von Northmeir: <Yes.>
Thorvald: <This an item used to cheer people on. It lights up when you bend it, but I will not do that yet. >
Seto Ranvalt von Northmeir: <I know that one. It’s because the light slowly starts to fade, right?>
Thorvald: <That is correct. By the way, Prince Nagi’s color is yellow.>
Seto Ranvalt von Northmeir: <I know that, too. For his next birthday, I’m planning to give him a yellow sports car.>
Thorvald: <That’s wonderful. I’m sure His Highness Nagi will be very pleased as well. The next thing I’d like to introduce to you is an uchiwa fan…>
Mage Takara: He’s showcasing the live goods… What a way to spread word about IDOLiSH7 to the world!
Passerby C: Aah, my heart’s pounding! Since I have a great seat today, maybe ŹOOḼ will notice me!?
Passerby D: They’ll notice you for sure! I mean, you talked to them before, right?
Passerby C: Yeah! I even gave them a letter directly…!
Mage Takara: …Directly!? That’s amazing. But to take it properly from them, ŹOOḼ must be surprisingly serious…
Mage Takara: Ah… I wonder if the tough-looking old men over there are idol fans, too…?
Passerby E: But it’s surprising~! Didn’t expect big bro Kuma to be interested in idols!
Passerby F: Yeah! My oshi is the reason why I rediscovered myself as an illustrator!
Mage Takara: Ah, an illustrator, huh? You shouldn’t judge people by their appearance.
Mage Takara: A lot of people are here. Ah, oh my god, my heart is pounding… My song will be sung in front of everyone…
Mage Takara: What do I do… If Kujou Tenn suddenly said that he will dedicate this song to Magechon…
Mage Takara: …No, I offered it. Calm down, come to your senses… Aah, I can’t stop imagining stuff like that…
Mage Takara: Start quickly!
Mage Takara: No! Don’t start yet!
Mage Takara: Even though it feels like the best right now, even better things are still coming up…!
Mage Takara: It’s the last day of December, but it’s not cold at all!
Mage Takara: “New Black or White” is the best…!!

6.13.2. - To that place we longed for
Isumi Haruka: Haa…
Isumi Haruka: Finally, it’s time for “New Black or White”...
Inumaru Touma: Don’t be nervous, don’t be nervous!
Natsume Minami: You’re the one who’s too tense, Inumaru-san, your shoulders are too stiff.
Midou Torao: Even Minami is blinking a lot.
Isumi Haruka: And Torao is looking at the clock too much.
Utsugi Shirou: It’ll be fine. Everyone, please relax.
Isumi Haruka: What will be fine?
Midou Torao: How can you know that?
Inumaru Touma: Relax…
Natsume Minami: I would if it was that easy.
Utsugi Shirou: It is difficult, isn’t it… First, let’s go with a smile. Try smiling, please. 3, 2, 1…
ŹOOḼ: …Haha…
Utsugi Shirou: …That’s fine! Okay, this is the waiting room.
Isumi Haruka: Wah… look at all those flowers!
Natsume Minami: There’s enough to fill the room…!
Inumaru Touma: We also received some from the “BLAST” team and music programs, but most of the flowers in this dressing room are…
Midou Torao: They’re from Moonlight Ichirou…
Inumaru Touma & Natsume Minami & Isumi Haruka: …
Isumi Haruka: …Ahaha! Ryou-san, you’re overdoing it!
Natsume Minami: All the flowers look expensive. It seems like a thing Ryou-san would do.
Inumaru Touma: Ahaha! That sure is a surprise, but they’re pretty. What’s up with this Moonlight guy…
Inumaru Touma: …A lot of things happened, but if that guy hadn’t been there, we wouldn’t be here right now.
Inumaru Touma: I hope he’s watching us from somewhere tonight.
Isumi Haruka: I’m sure he’s watching. He’s calling our names.
Natsume Minami: That’s true… Let’s deliver our victory all the long way to that person.
Natsume Minami: We had enough defeats. We won’t lose again.
Midou Torao: Yeah. …That’s true. Should we at least take a photo and send it to Ryou-san? Utsugi-san, will you do it?
Utsugi Shirou: Of course. Everyone, please gather around here.
Isumi Haruka: Got it. How do we do it? Do we glare at the camera?
Inumaru Touma: No, it’s not a work shoot, isn’t it fine if we smile?
Midou Torao: That’s true. Since we only might be smiling for now…
Natsume Minami: Please stop. With the negative talk, I mean. We will be smiling in the new year, too.
Midou Torao: Surely. There’s no way I’d lose, after all.
Isumi Haruka: We will win for sure! Yay!
Inumaru Touma: Oh, that’s nice! Ryou-san, we will win!
Utsugi Shirou: Let’s go, one, two…
(click)
Utsugi Shirou: I think I got a good shot.
Natsume Minami: Thank you very much.
Utsugi Shirou: Even though he couldn’t come here, Ryou-kun did a good job. He made everyone smile.
Isumi Haruka: Haha… That’s right.
Isumi Haruka: When we stand on stage, we have to make the fans waiting in the audience seats smile, too.
Isumi Haruka: We will give ourselves our own applause and flower bouquets. We’ll swallow both wins and losses alone. I am prepared for that. But…
Isumi Haruka: When we stand on stage, I want to see dazzling smiles and cheers.
Inumaru Touma: Haha… You’ve changed. The old Haru never cared about the fans…
Isumi Haruka: I wanted to be acknowledged by Kujou. I wanted him to praise me, I wanted to be told I was amazing.
Isumi Haruka: After my affection for him ran out, I was singing to stick it to Kujou Tenn. But since both of those things are gone now...
Isumi Haruka: The ones in front of me as I sang were our fans.
Isumi Haruka: Even though I don’t like it all, and I don’t care. Obsessively calling my name…
Isumi Haruka: You’d fall in love with that, right? Saying thank you, thank you, you’d want to reward that, right?
Inumaru Touma: …That’s true…
Inumaru Touma: I was happy that they smiled in front of me… That’s why, when they turned their backs, I was anxious and sad, and I couldn’t do it.
Inumaru Touma: I was scared of being abandoned. But… That is a small matter.
Inumaru Touma: It’s not about me being thrown away. Rather, I won’t abandon anyone. Not you guys, not the fans, not this dream.
Inumaru Touma: I will love everyone who loved me, even if it was just for a moment. Even if it’s unrequited love, I won’t throw it away.
Natsume Minami: Easy for you to say, ‘unrequited love’. Aren’t you the one who made us feel that, Inumaru-san?
Inumaru Touma: Uhm, when?
Natsume Minami: Are you saying you don’t know?
Utsugi Shirou: Can he be that dense…
Midou Torao: See, that’s the kind of guy you are. Even though you didn’t notice, there might have been people who had feelings for you.
Midou Torao: Even when NO_MAD ended, there may have been fans who would continue to always think of you.
Midou Torao: Maybe even now.
Inumaru Touma: That’s crazy… That’s almost an eternity already. Even if I lost my form, they still love me.
Natsume Minami: Even if we lose our form, the feelings remain forever. As long as this unforgettable scenery remains in our hearts, we will not lose anything.
Natsume Minami: Sakura-san was who I admired. Even when I couldn’t meet him, even when were far apart, I thought about him and admired him.
Natsume Minami: And if that’s the case, isn’t it the same now? Even if he was in North Meir, even if he’s in heaven…
Natsume Minami: A slightly wicked old man I admire, I support, and don’t see very often.
Natsume Minami: It’s because I was able to meet Sakura-san, that I am here tonight.
Natsume Minami: Hey, I… This year, I want the Black or White trophy.
Midou Torao: I’ll listen to your request. We’ll take it away and make it ŹOOḼ’s.
Inumaru Touma: That’s right! This time, it’s our turn to win!
Isumi Haruka: We’ll win for sure! That’s what we came this far for! Let’s do this!
Midou Torao & Inumaru Touma& Natsume Minami: Yeah!
Utsugi Shirou: You can definitely win. Here’s one last thing before the big showdown: let’s do image training.
Isumi Haruka: Image training?
Utsugi Shirou: Yes.
Utsugi Shirou: ŹOOḼ, congratulations for winning today’s “Black or White Showdown”!
Inumaru Touma: Image training for winning!? Even though we just arrived at the venue!?
Utsugi Shirou: Although it’s presumptuous, I’ll lead with three cheers for you. ŹOOḼ, hurray!
Midou Torao: We’re doing this to the point of the cheer!?
Natsume Minami: If someone hears us from outside, won’t people think it's a provocation!?
Utsugi Shirou: Of course it’s a provocation. Let’s go to the point of no return.
Utsugi Shirou: Because it was our company that was at fault, over the past year, I was busy bowing my head to the other agencies to apologize.
Utsugi Shirou: I think it’s natural, I feel how big of a responsibility that is. However…
Utsugi Shirou: On the last day of the year, with your victory, please let me feel some relief.
ŹOOḼ: …
ŹOOḼ: Hurray!
Utsugi Shirou: Hurray!
Everyone: ŹOOĻ, hurray!
Okazaki Rintarou: They’re doing three cheers for ŹOOḼ… They’re really provoking us, huh?
Yuki: We won’t lose to something like provocation, though? Should we do something, too, Momo?
Momo: …
Okazaki Rintarou: What’s wrong? Are you scared, maybe?
Okazaki Rinto: Hey, president…! Momo-kun can be quite delicate to the point of losing his voice, okay!
Okazaki Rintarou: That’s not it! He won’t provoke them! I just thought it was rare.
Yuki: Momo, are you okay?
Momo: I’m okay…
Momo: I’m okay, I’m okay, I’m okay. I’m okay, I’m okay. Invincible, invincible, invincible, invincible, invincible.
Yuki: …Are you really okay?
Momo: Yeah. No, aah… Ha—...
Momo: This is bad, I’m so nervous. What should I do? Aah, I shouldn’t think that. I shouldn’t, I shouldn’t…
Yuki: It’s not bad. I’m here. I’ll make you relax.
Momo: How… how will you?
Yuki: An old story.
Yuki: Actually, there was a time I thought about quitting music and no longer going on stage.
Momo: …That’s about Ban-san, isn’t it?
Yuki: Wrong. It’s like… When things didn’t go well…
Yuki: I was anxious and wondering if my music is really reaching anyone.
Momo: Something like that happened to Yuki…
Yuki: But during that time, I received a certain letter and got back on my feet.
Momo: A certain letter? What kind of letter…?
Yuki: That’s right…
Yuki: It’s embarrassing, so I won’t tell after all…
Momo: Eeeeeh!? Now that I’ve heard this much, I wanna know…!! What is that certain letter!?
Yuki: Next time.
Momo: Haaaa!? I feel jealous when I hear such a special story, though!?
Okazaki Rinto: Ah, Momo-san started to feel better.
Yuki: I’m glad.
Okazaki Rintarou: The letter that brought Yuki back to his feet. Maybe it has something to do with me?
Yuki: It doesn’t.
Okazaki Rintarou: Actually, I wrote it. I’m the type of person who writes well.
Yuki: Don’t think so.
Momo: I’m super curious…!! Yuki, if we win, tell me! Who the letter was from!
Yuki: …
Yuki: Haa… Fine…
Momo: Why are you so shy!? Aah, this is definitely Ban-san’s! Momo-chan’s jealousy is erupting!!
Yuki: Momo erupting from jealousy, that’s cute.
Momo: It’s not cute! Sorry, IDOLiSH7!! I’ll definitely beat you!!
Yuki: Nice. With that momentum, we’ll beat TRIGGER and ŹOOḼ as well.
Momo: Of course! Re:vale are the eternal champions!!
Okazaki Rinto: Haha, that’s reassuring!
Okazaki Rintarou: Losing is fine, too. As long as you show us your stage, that is enough.
Re:vale: We’re saying we'll win!
Okazaki Rintarou: I get it, I get it. I said it to relax you.
Okazaki Rinto: Yuki-kun, Momo-kun. Re:vale continuing to win until now wasn’t a coincidence.
Okazaki Rinto: Because it was the two of you, you were able to keep winning. Re:vale is the best duo. In the past, present and forever in the future.
Momo: Okarin…
Okazaki Rinto: IDOLiSH7, TRIGGER and ŹOOḼ are aiming to defeat Re:vale…
Okazaki Rinto: Doesn’t that sound king-like? Please be prepared to make a stand.
Okazaki Rinto: Only you two know the pain of constant victory.
Okazaki Rinto: The confusion of your adored kouhai becoming formidable rivals, too.
Okazaki Rinto: However, you are being attacked by tremendous obstacles, rivals and pressure…
Okazaki Rinto: And re:vale will definitely enjoy it and overcome it.
Re:vale: …
Okazaki Rinto: Leave the role of taking stomach medicine to me.
Okazaki Rinto: Enjoy what lies beyond that stage, whether it’s heaven or hell.
Okazaki Rinto: Please show me your coolest Re:vale.
Yuki: Haha… Because Okarin likes us being cool.
Momo: Then… Let’s show you our cool parts, shall we.
Momo: Thank you, Okarin.
Okazaki Rinto: No, right back at you.
(knock knock)
Okazaki Rinto: Ah… Seems like someone came to check on us. I’ll go and check.
Okazaki Rinto: Ah…You are…
Yuki: Ah…

6.13.3. - With each step closer
Anesagi Kaoru: Well then, you guys! The long-awaited “New Black or White” is here!
Anesagi Kaoru: Don’t get too nervous, but do give us your best performance! I know you three can do it!
Anesagi Kaoru: After all, you came all the way back here using your own strength,
Kujou Tenn: Anesagi-san…
Anesagi Kaoru: I know you were told this before… That we’re in uncertain times right now, so people choose safe things to love.
Anesagi Kaoru: That they don’t even look at those who are hurt. That they are scared of getting hurt themselves, so they let go of them.
Anesagi Kaoru: But that is wrong.
Anesagi Kaoru: There was an incredible number of people who never let go of you and kept cheering you on.
Anesagi Kaoru: It’s because you guys were the real deal. Even the people who were shaken by doubts and anxiety believed in TRIGGER and came back.
Anesagi Kaoru: You were born in the light, then swallowed by the darkness… And once again, you have obtained the light.
Anesagi Kaoru: You are the only idols like that.
Anesagi Kaoru: Ryuunosuke.
Tsunashi Ryuunosuke: Yes.
Anesagi Kaoru: On that stage at the Tokyo International Music Festival, you didn’t run away and sang by yourself.
Anesagi Kaoru: Because you sang there, TRIGGER exists as it is today.
Anesagi Kaoru: Everyone’s hearts were moved by your courage and resolve then, by you saying that you wouldn’t ever let this go to waste.
Anesagi Kaoru: They felt like as you connected from there to the future, there was nothing to be afraid of.
Anesagi Kaoru: It was an amazing performance. You did a good job.
Tsunashi Ryuunosuke: …Thank you so much.
Anesagi Kaoru: Tenn.
Kujou Tenn: Yes.
Anesagi Kaoru: Even now, I clearly remember the street performance on that rainy day. I was crying out of frustration.
Anesagi Kaoru: But as you sung in that hell-like rain, you smiled and told your fans this:
Anesagi Kaoru: “I’m glad I sang this song.” I still remember your face, your voice that day.
Kujou Tenn: …This is embarrassing.
Anesagi Kaoru: There's nothing to be embarrassed about. At that time, I was thinking I will definitely take you back to that dazzling stage again.
Anesagi Kaoru: An idol who says he’s glad he sang, even while singing in hell.
Anesagi Kaoru: It felt so wrong that a kid like that couldn’t stand on stage in this world.
Anesagi Kaoru: It was like your crying face lit a fire within my and the fans’ hearts. We decided to start a revolution.
Anesagi Kaoru: It’s like the tears of that day are connected to the present.
Kujou Tenn: Thank you very much. Anesagi-san…
Anesagi Kaoru: Gaku. You did a good job on both “Crescent Wolf” and “Zero”.
Anesagi Kaoru: Regarding what happened to you guys, you must have been the one who was the most frustrated and hurt.
Anesagi Kaoru: You’re straightforward, you have a lot of pride, and get agitated easily, after all.
Anesagi Kaoru: Even though you were the one who was against Yaotome Productions’ aggressive sales tactics the most, you became a victim of that promotion.
Anesagi Kaoru: We made you go through a hard time.
Yaotome Gaku: That goes for you as well. You must’ve had a hard time, too, Anesagi.
Yaotome Gaku: But no matter what, there was no giving up.
Anesagi Kaoru: That’s true. You never gave up. Even though you were hurt head-on, you didn’t avert your eyes; you just kept looking straight ahead.
Anesagi Kaoru: Whether in an agency or independently, your strong pride and your competitive spirit never changed.
Anesagi Kaoru: You’ve always been the real thing. Even when you were hurt and beaten down, there was never a moment of misery.
Anesagi Kaoru: Seeing you unchanged, everyone started believing in TRIGGER once more. It was what made them want to come back.
Anesagi Kaoru: Tonight… Lead TRIGGER to victory. You’re the leader.
Yaotome Gaku: Of course. Together with these guys, I’ll definitely win!
Yaotome Gaku: I’ll hold up a huge trophy and show it to the fans who came with us…!
Anesagi Kaoru: That’s the spirit! This era belongs to TRIGGER!
Anesagi Kaoru: Idols who know both the top and the depths of hell. That’s you guys!
Anesagi Kaoru: Before long, people will start saying that idols who only know what’s in the light are outdated.
Anesagi Kaoru: TRIGGER can reach for glory already! Go ahead and do it to your heart’s content…!
Kujou Tenn: Yes!
Yaotome Gaku: Yeah!
Tsunashi Ryuunosuke: I’ll sing as best as I can!
(door opens)
Yaotome Sousuke: How are you guys doing?
Anesagi Kaoru: My, it’s the President!
Yaotome Gaku: Dad…
Tsunashi Ryuunosuke: President, you came!
Yaotome Sousuke: TRIGGER will be joining the battle for the top spot, after all.
Yaotome Sousuke: I’ve never seen Black or White at the venue, but I felt like I wanted to be there today and cheer you on.
Yaotome Sousuke: I will witness the moment history changes in person.
Yaotome Gaku: Yeah, leave it to me!
Yaotome Sousuke: And also…
(door opens)
Kujou Takamasa: Hey.
Kujou Tenn: Kujou-san…
Kujou Takamasa: I’m looking forward to seeing you guys on stage. Do your best.
Yaotome Sousuke: Originally, Kujou-san was supposed to be the head judge. But he declined.
Yaotome Gaku: So that’s why the special judging system was removed.
Kujou Tenn: Why did you refuse?
Kujou Takamasa: Because I am biased and I would end up voting for TRIGGER.
Kujou Tenn: …
Yaotome Gaku: Seriously? Even though you called us second-rate.
Kujou Takamasa: That was my mistake. I apologize. I am very sorry. I just didn’t want to lose Tenn.
Kujou Takamasa: You’re all first-rate idols. You sincerely love your fans, never stopping to improve yourselves, and you sincerely believe in both yourself and your teammates.
Kujou Takamasa: You’re a great team. To the point where I am jealous.
Tsunashi Ryuunosuke: …Thank you very much. Hearing that the creator of the Zero era is jealous is the greatest compliment.
Kujou Takamasa: Likewise. Since I am a TRIGGER fan, too.
Kujou Takamasa: More than anything I am just happy to see your new live tonight. I’m looking forward to it.
Kujou Takamasa: May you three be left with no regrets. Winning or losing can come after. Do your best.
Kujou Tenn: Yes… Thank you very much. I’m glad you came to show your face.
Kujou Takamasa: Yaotome-kun invited me. I assume it was difficult for him to come to the dressing room by himself.
Yaotome Sousuke: Wha—… That is not true. It is because you said you had free time during the New Year holidays.
Kujou Takamasa: You invited me.
Tsunashi Ryuunosuke: It’s heartwarming to see how well the old guys get along.
Kujou Tenn: Do they?
Yaotome Gaku: Really?
Tsunashi Ryuunosuke: You don’t think so…?
Anesagi Kaoru: Anyway! The president and Kujou-san both came to cheer you on!
Anesagi Kaoru: Give it your all in your own way and enjoy yourself to the fullest!
TRIGGER: Yes…
--
Nanase Riku: Ha…
Izumi Iori: Are you okay, Nanase-san?
Nanase Riku: I’m fine. I ended up being really nervous, after all…
Izumi Iori: You probably didn’t get much sleep, did you? You woke up several times last night.
Nanase Riku: If you know that, Iori, that means you couldn’t sleep either.
Izumi Iori: Well…
Nikaidou Yamato: I always end up wide awake before a live. Especially since it’s “New Black or White”...
Izumi Mitsuki: Don’t worry, don’t worry! Let’s overcome this with enthusiasm!
Rokuya Nagi: Are you ready!?
IDOLiSH7: Yay!!
Yotsuba Tamaki: King!
IDOLiSH7: Pudding!
Izumi Mitsuki: We can do this, we can do this, we can do this!
Ousaka Sougo: Forget about the sleep deprivation and pretend you’re in your best condition!
Izumi Iori: I assume the other groups are similar to this, too. ŹOOḼ in particular are the type who can’t sleep in this kind of situation.
Ousaka Sougo: TRIGGER seem to be the type who sleep properly. The kind who gets up early so they can sleep well.
Nikaidou Yamato: Re:vale are probably used to this kind of thing, after all.
Izumi Iori: Speaking of which, Momo-san seems to be really motivated this year.
Nanase Riku: A Momo-san who’s this motivated seems like trouble! Aah, stop scaring me!
Izumi Iori: No. Change your way of thinking.
Izumi Iori: There is no doubt Momo-san is a formidable opponent, but it is because he felt we were formidable opponents that he was fired up and took lessons.
Rokuya Nagi&Izumi Mitsuki&Nanase Riku&Nikaidou Yamato&Ousaka Sougo&Yotsuba
Tamaki: …
Izumi Iori: We are the ones scaring Re:vale.
Yotsuba Tamaki: …A-Aren’t we kinda cool…!?
Nanase Riku: We are!! They think we’re tough!
Izumi Mitsuki: Alright! We can do this, we can do this, we can do this!
Rokuya Nagi: Burning! Our fighting spirits are burning!
Ousaka Sougo: I think I’m feeling more confident!
Izumi Iori: Nikaidou-san, please tie things up cleanly as our leader.
Nikaidou Yamato: R-Right… Alright!
Nikaidou Yamato: Listen, you guys!
Rokuya Nagi&Izumi Mitsuki&Izumi Iori&Nanase Riku&Ousaka Sougo&Yotsuba Tamaki: Yeah…!
(door opens)
Yuki: Yamato-kun. I brought Shizuo-san…
Nikaidou Yamato: Let’s beat Re:vale and have IDOLiSH7 take over the world!
Rokuya Nagi&Izumi Mitsuki&Izumi Iori&Nanase Riku&Ousaka Sougo&Yotsuba Tamaki: Yeah…
Izumi Mitsuki: Ah, Yamato-san, behind you…
Nikaidou Yamato: Your voice is too quiet!
Izumi Mitsuki: Sorry.
Nikaidou Yamato: Are you listening!? We’ll crush Re:vale and get the whole world to call for IDOLiSH7…!
Rokuya Nagi&Izumi Mitsuki&Izumi Iori&Nanase Riku&Ousaka Sougo&Yotsuba Tamaki: Yeah…
Nikaidou Yamato: What’s that “Yeah…”? Put your energy into it like last time and say, “Yeaaah!”...
Yuki: Yamato-kun.
Nikaidou Yamato: Whaaaaat!?
Chiba Shizuo: That you, Yamato, would want the world to call IDOLiSH7’s name…
Nikaidou Yamato: Whaaaaat!? What are you doing here!?
Rokuya Nagi: OH! Chiba Shizuo!!
Izumi Mitsuki: Hey, hey, hey! You’re Chiba-san, right?! H-hello.
Chiba Shizuo: Nice to meet you. I am Chiba Shizuo.
Izumi Iori: I am Izumi Iori.
Izumi Mitsuki: I’m his older brother, Mitsuki.
Yotsuba Tamaki: I’m Yotsuba Tamaki.
Ousaka Sougo: I am Ousaka Sougo.
Rokuya Nagi: My name is Rokuya Nagi! I am your fan! Nice to meet you!
Nanase Riku: I’m Nanase Riku! Yamato-san is a great leader to us!
Chiba Shizuo: Likewise, you have also been a great help to Yamato. I’m sorry for how sudden this is. Yuki-kun brought me here…
Yuki: Look at you talk. Wasn’t that your intention?
Yuki: You came to Re:vale’s dressing room, so we brought you here. Come on, Yamato-kun.
Nikaidou Yamato: What…
Yuki: He’s your dad.
Nikaidou Yamato: I know…
Chiba Shizuo: No, I’m sorry for bothering you before such an important event. I think it’s time for the older people to leave.
Nikaidou Yamato: Ah, sorry. It’s just… It’s not that I don’t like that you came. I was just surprised, so…
Chiba Shizuo: I know. Yamato…
Nikaidou Yamato: …
Chiba Shizuo: Please take over the world with IDOLiSH7. And make them call your name.
Nikaidou Yamato: Please forget that I said that.
Yuki: I’m glad I didn’t bring Momo. You said you were going to crush Re:vale.
Izumi Iori: But that is certainly not a lie, because we will do it for sure.
Yuki: You just declared war politely, huh.
Yuki: We won’t lose, either. Since Momo would be sad if we lost. And I don’t want to make Momo sad.
Nanase Riku: We won’t lose, either! So we can become the greatest IDOLiSH7!
Nanase Riku: Isn’t that right, Yamato-san!
Nikaidou Yamato: Ye… Yeah!
Rokuya Nagi & Izumi Mitsuki & Izumi Iori & Nanase Riku & Ousaka Sougo & Yotsuba Tamaki: Yeah…!
Nikaidou Yamato: We are the ones who will stand at the top!
Rokuya Nagi & Izumi Mitsuki & Izumi Iori & Nanase Riku & Ousaka Sougo & Yotsuba Tamaki: Yeah…!
Yotsuba Tamaki: Yama-san, you’re so cool!!
Rokuya Nagi: Yamato! You’re the hottest!
Yuki: Oh? I’ll be sure to remember that.
Chiba Shizuo: You’ve become an adult… Win or lose, you’ve grown up splendidly.
Yuki: Shizuo-san. Please cheer me on as well. We’re friends, right?
Chiba Shizuo: Of course, I want both of you to win. Yuki-kun, do your best. Yamato, do your best.
Rokuya Nagi: Good ahead and enjoy it! Here’s a penlight with Yamato’s color.
Chiba Shizuo: Thank you. Looks like I could use that to strike someone down.
Nikaidou Yamato: Stop making that kind of joke!
Nanase Riku: Ahaha! Chiba-san is funny as well!
Nanase Riku: It’s 12 o’clock… The venue opens in seven hours, huh…
Nanase Riku: A new music festival, “Black or White Live Show Down”, begins!
Nanase Riku: Please make it so we can put on a performance we won’t have regr… (coughs)
Nanase Riku: We won’t have regrets with!
Rokuya Nagi & Izumi Mitsuki & Izumi Iori & Nikaidou Yamato & Ousaka Sougo & Yotsuba Tamaki: Yeaaah…!
Izumi Iori: …

6.13.4. - With our unwavering hearts
Mr. Shimooka: “Backyard MAGIC”.
Mr. Shimooka: I had to do the title call by myself because Mitsuki-kun isn’t here, how lonely~!
Mr. Shimooka: Now, time to pull myself together… Everyone! There’s only a little time left this year!
Mr. Shimooka: Everyone knows the reason why Mitsuki-kun isn’t here, right?
Mr. Shimooka: The long-awaited “Black or White Live Showdown”. The male idol division finals!! It starts in one hour!!
Mr. Shimooka: In this program, we will be showing you the real faces of the idols who will be competing!
Mr. Shimooka: Everyone, thank you!
(clapping)
Mr. Shimooka: Wow, this is so exciting. Re:vale, TRIGGER, IDOLiSH7, ŹOOḼ are all really fired up.
Mr. Shimooka: Mitsuki-kun should be at the venue right now, too. Good luck, everyone~! Then again, they probably don’t have the time to watch this?
Mr. Shimooka: Well then! In this program, we would like to give you some advance information so that you can “Black or White” to the fullest!
Mr. Shimooka: Here's the one who will give the explanation!
Mr. Shimooka: It’s Producer Matsunaga, the producer of this show and the person who started "New Black or White"!
Producer Matsunaga: Thank you for having me.
Mr. Shimooka: Well then, let's get started! Can you tell us about the rest of today's schedule?
Producer Matsunaga: Yes. Since you will be the host, Mr. Shimooka-san, I'm sure you already know…
Producer Matsunaga: The show and streaming will begin at 7 P.M.. The opening ceremony for "Black or White Live Showdown" will then begin.
Mr. Shimooka: The opening ceremony! I'm looking forward to it! It looks like it's going to be very exciting!
Producer Matsunaga: Yes! Please be sure to check out the idols' performances as well.
Producer Matsunaga: And then the mini lives begin. The mini lives consist of four songs. Please pay attention to the stage set and costumes.
Mr. Shimooka: The set list is still a secret, but the order in which each group will sing…
Producer Matsunaga: Has already been decided. It was decided by drawing lots the other day. There is also a video of that.
Mr. Shimooka: Ooh, let's take a look!
–
Staff: Inside are sticks with numbers from 1 to 4 written on them, please draw one.
Kujou Tenn: Understood.
Nikaidou Yamato: Who’s going to represent us?
Nanase Riku: Someone who’s lucky should go! Someone who drew a great fortune this year!*
Nikaidou Yamato: Eeh!? I don't remember anything about the beginning of the year, though.
Izumi Mitsuki: Leader, leader, go!
Nikaidou Yamato: No, at times like this, I end up being the last one to perform…
Rokuya Nagi: Tamaki, you had great luck in the gacha the other day!
Yotsuba Tamaki: Right! I did a 10-pull and got 3 SSRs! Isn’t that amazing!?
Ousaka Sougo: How amazing is that?
Yotsuba Tamaki: It’s an amazing probability! Almost as amazing as winning the lottery!
Izumi Iori: I wish I would win the lottery…
Rokuya Nagi: Tamaki, you're my angel!
Ousaka Sougo: Riku-kun, didn't you win the convenience store lottery?
Nanase Riku: I did! I won an Usamimi Friends pencil case!
Nikaidou Yamato: So it's Riku or Tama. You’ll play rock-paper-scissors and whoever wins can go.
Nanase Riku&Yotsuba Tamaki: Rock, paper, scissors!
Tsunashi Ryuunosuke: Which one of us is going?
Kujou Tenn: Isn’t Gaku fine for that? He seems like an auspicious guy.
Yaotome Gaku: Alright. Leave it to me.
Kujou Tenn: You didn’t ask "Why?" or anything.
Yaotome Gaku: I also think I'm an auspicious guy.
Tsunashi Ryuunosuke: You’re so dependable! Let’s put our hands together.
Yaotome Gaku: Hahaha. Looks like a jizo!*
Yuki: Momo, you can be the one to draw the straw.
Momo: U-Understood. Yuki, which one do you like best?
Yuki: The final act.
IDOLiSH7&TRIGGER&ŹOOĻ&Momo: Ooooh…
Yuki: I don't like being first because I don't think I'll be mentally prepared in time.
Isumi Haruka: I don’t wanna be the first either… I’ll definitely be nervous…
Inumaru Touma: Let’s aim for anything other than going first! Who’s going?
Natsume Minami: Wouldn't Midou-san be a good choice?
Midou Torao: Why?
Natsume Minami: Somehow, I sensed an aura similar to that of an animal mascot beloved by the New Year deity once every 12 years from Midou-san ...
Natsume Minami: I think it might be Midou-san this year.
Midou Torao: I’m not sure, but if Minami who’s into fortune telling says it, I’ll draw the straw.
Staff: Then, please.
Nanase Riku: Here I go! Then, this one!
Yaotome Gaku: I’ll take this one.
Momo: That one!
Midou Torao: That one! Please!
Staff: We’ll pull after I say “go”. Ready… go.
Nanase Riku: …Second…!
Yaotome Gaku: Third!
Momo: Whoaaaaa! We’re the final act!
Midou Torao: Whoaaaaa! We’re first!
Isumi Haruka: That makes us the opening act…!
Yuki: Good job, Momo.
Nanase Riku: Second! Second is just right!!!
Izumi Mitsuki: Just right, just right!
Tsunashi Ryuunosuke: Isn't being third nice! We're three, after all!
Izumi Iori: Ah… It's in order of who debuted last, from the newest, ŹOOĻ-san, up to Re:vale-san.
Ousaka Sougo: That might be true… It's like the idol eras are going backwards.
Natsume Minami: That might be interesting, it's like following the feeling of history.
Isumi Haruka: But we're first…
Inumaru Touma: Don't worry! It’s when the audience is the most pumped up! And you can just go out with a bang!
Nanase Riku: I'm sure the audience will be all warmed up after ŹOOḼ, so things will be easy, thank you!
Inumaru Touma: Y-Yeah.
Yaotome Gaku: Perfect, we're in the right distance to pull the trigger on the champions. This year, we'll take the win.
Yuki: Fufu. We won't let you have it.
Momo: We definitely won't lose!!
Yotsuba Tamaki: We won't lose, either!!
--
Producer Matsunaga: …That's the result of it.
Mr. Shimooka: Oooh! I see!
Mr. Shimooka: There will be mini-lives with four songs each in the order of ŹOOḼ, IDOLiSH7, TRIGGER and then Re:vale; it'll be the best singing contest of all time!
Mr. Shimooka: Isn't that right, Matsunaga-san?!
Producer Matsunaga: Indeed. For the specific times, please look at this.
Mr. Shimooka: From 7 p.m., the opening ceremony begins. ŹOOḼ’s live is at 8 p.m.. IDOLiSH7’s live is at 9 p.m…
Mr. Shimooka: TRIGGER’s live is at 10 p.m... Re:vale’s live is at 11 p.m…. And at 11:45 p.m., results will be announced!
Mr. Shimooka: It seems like it will become an unforgettable New Year's Eve!
Producer Matsunaga: Before the lives, there will be a video message from each group.
Producer Matsunaga: Everyone at the venue, everyone in front of their TV, everyone watching this show; please feel free to listen to the idols’ enthusiasm!
Mr. Shimooka: This is the first time and all, but seriously, I really cannot imagine which group will win!
Producer Matsunaga: That's true. Every group has the skills deserving of winning.
Mr. Shimooka: I will explain how the winner is decided once more!
Mr. Shimooka: There are three ways to vote! You can use the special “New Black or White” app to vote! You can vote via your TV menu!
Mr. Shimooka: And you can vote by dialing our dedicated phone line!
Mr. Shimooka: From now on, there will be no special votes by the judges, right?
Producer Matsunaga: That's true.
Producer Matsunaga: I considered having them, but the person I was considering for the position of head judge rejected, and….
Producer Matsunaga: He said that if we are judging the live itself, all people who have seen the live should have an equal right to do so.
Producer Matsunaga: It is as he said. They came this far because they treasured the perspective of the viewers; the perspective of the audience the most.
Mr. Shimooka: A new era of Black or White… It's a very “Black or White Live Showdown”-like initiative!
Mr. Shimooka: Well then, before we show you the messages from the idols…
Mr. Shimooka: We are showing you a message from the people involved in the lives!
Mr. Shimooka: Behind the beautiful stage, there are many people, many talents sparkling just as much as the idols!
Mr. Shimooka: Built up by many people, today we finally have this stage!
Mr. Shimooka: So that even more people will love this stage!
Mr. Shimooka: Let's take a look at the backyard of “Black or White”! There you go!
--
Concert Promoter: Congratulations on the "Black or White Live Showdown"!
Concert Promoter: The idols on stage, the audience at the venue, and everyone watching via live stream…
Concert Promoter: From the bottom of their hearts, all of our staff will work together to do our best to provide you with the best possible experience!
Concert Promoter: So many talented people have come together with the honest aim of making someone happy and inspire them.
Concert Promoter: It will be the best New Year ever. You definitely won't regret it! Look forward to it!

Re:vale Costume Designer: Congratulations to everyone on the "Black or White Live Showdown.”
Re:vale Costume Designer: I am really happy to have the opportunity to be involved in this huge festival as Re:vale's costume designer.
Re:vale Costume Designer: I'm a bit worried about whether I did a perfect job, but they really liked my costumes…
Re:vale Costume Designer: How can I put it.... I think Re:vale wearing my costumes is the coolest thing in the world.
Re:vale Costume Designer: Ah, I'm getting too cocky. Fufu…
Re:vale Costume Designer: We've been making adjustments to match the atmosphere of the song and the choreography, so please look forward to it.
Momo: Please look forward to it!
Re:vale Costume Designer: Ah, Momo-san.
Momo: Ahaha! Sorry, I was listening there!
Re:vale Costume Designer: It's super embarrassing….
Momo: Not at all! You're so handsome! Ah, after Yuki, that is!
Re:vale Costume Designer: Fufu, I know.
TRIGGER Stage Designer: Well… Congratulations on the "Black or White Live Showdown.”
TRIGGER Stage Designer: Looking at the set design, the set design... What can I say in one word? I shouldn't give away any spoilers, right?
TRIGGER Stage Designer: ...That's difficult…
TRIGGER Stage Designer: This time there are four songs… That is less than 30 minutes long. And what's more, they have to perform within that short time.
TRIGGER Stage Designer: So I tried to create a sense of immersion and a worldview that was on par with what you'd get from watching a two-hour movie or a three-hour play.
TRIGGER Stage Designer: I think we were able to create a stage worthy of TRIGGER. Please look forward to it.
TRIGGER Stage Designer: ...Hmm? Who will I root for? TRIGGER, of course.
TRIGGER Stage Designer: Ahahaha!
--
ŹOOḼ choreographer: Congratulations on the "Black or White Live Showdown”—!
ŹOOḼ choreographer: Wow, it's quite exciting... I want ŹOOḼ to win, but even just entering the competition is impressive.
ŹOOḼ choreographer: That alone is enough… No, I really want them to win after all!
ŹOOḼ choreographer: Everyone at ŹOOḼ has strong fundamental skills, is clever and highly technical... And what's more, they're not afraid of challenges.
ŹOOḼ choreographer: It's an honor to work with them! I'm sure tonight will be another great night!
ŹOOḼ choreographer: ŹOOḼ! Do your best!
Inumaru Touma: Wah, what are you doing?
ŹOOḼ choreographer: Touma-san!
Inumaru Touma: I just heard you tell me to do my best.
ŹOOḼ choreographer: The interview! The BackMagic one!
Inumaru Touma: Ah! Thanks for your work.
ŹOOḼ choreographer: Do your best at winning Black or White! ŹOOḼ! Do your best!
Inumaru Touma: Yeah. I'll do my best.

IDOLiSH7 producer: Please, please, look forward to it…!

Ousaka Sougo: …
Izumi Iori: Ousaka-san, what's wrong?
Ousaka Sougo: Ah, no…
Oogami Banri: Sougo-kun, can I talk to you for a second?
Ousaka Sougo: Yes…
Oogami Banri: I just checked the seats, and there's no one there in the ones reserved for your parents.
Ousaka Sougo: …Is that so…
Oogami Banri: I thought it would be bad if you got upset when you get on stage. If anything changes, I'll let you know.
Ousaka Sougo: No, it's okay… I don't think they'll come.
Oogami Banri: Sougo-kun…
Ousaka Sougo: It's better this way. Thank you for letting me know. Thanks to that, I feel better now.
Yotsuba Tamaki: Sou-chan, are you alright?
Ousaka Sougo: Yeah. Let's do our best, everyone!
IDOLiSH7: Yeah…!

home sweet home | chapter I
🌿 Pairing Small town au! - Doctor!Gojo Satoru x Teacher&Painter!OC/Reader; Doctor!Gojo Satoru x Dancer!Utahime Iori
🌿 Summary Satoru, or more formally known as Dr. Gojo was a great doctor from the big city. He lived a life that everyone thought was perfect: he worked at the city hospital, lived in a beautiful apartment in the center and was engaged to Utahime Iori. However, he had a big secret that he hid from everyone, which is that Satoru was actually already married to his childhood friend who he left behind in his hometown. And now, it's time for Gojo to face the past and the choices he made, especially his beloved wife.

🌿 Author's Note Welcome to the first chapter of my new series!! I was inspired by one of my favorite comedies, Sweet Home Alabama. It's not the first time I've written, but it's the first time I've published, so please be patient. I also gave the reader a name as this makes writing easier for me. I hope you enjoy!
Satoru Gojo's life had fallen into chaos and it was entirely his fault.
But no one who knew him would claim that, as he was deceptive and good at keeping up appearances.
To the people who know him, Satoru, or more formally Dr. Gojo, is a great doctor in the city of Boston, his speciality being cardiology. He work in the city central hospital and live in a newly renovated old flat near Beacon Hill.
In his free time, he plays basketball and enjoys learning languages, most recently German. Satoru didn't have a large social circle, as most of his friends were in the world of medicine. And according to these same friends, Gojo was choleric, perfectionist and impatient, which made him a difficult person to approach; but deep down, he just took his job very seriously.
The news that the hospital nurses were gossiping about was this: Dr. Gojo was engaged to Utahime Iori and they were going to get married the next summer.
Such gossip was always accompanied by the story of how they met. It was a night when Gojo was on a night shift and Utahime was admitted to the emergency room with a knee injury caused by a fall while dancing. She was - and still is - a dancer by profession and well known for it. It turned out that it was Satoru who attended to her that night, and after a very promising diagnosis followed by release, the two exchanged contacts.
Their relationship developed ardently and quickly, like the rhythm of the great city of Boston. It had only been a year since they met and they already had a wedding date set, much to the delight of Utahime's wealthy family.
However, his relationship with Utahime and the gossip about him were of little concern to Satoru. In fact, there was one secret that kept his mind occupied during the day and robbed him of sleep at night, and that was this: He was already a married man.
And well married, to his childhood friend whom he had left behind in his old and insignificant - in his eyes - hometown.
But no one in Boston even dreamed or imagined that Dr. Gojo had such a deep and striking stain on his past as that of a failed marriage, so he secretly met with Hiromi Higuruma, a lawyer who specialised in divorces.
Specialised or not, the truth was that Higuruma was a shark when it came to his clients and was the best lawyer in his law firm - and the most expensive too. It was he who discreetly prepared Satoru's divorce papers and encouraged him to take the papers personally to his wife, much to his client's displeasure.
“You know, Dr Gojo, I think it would be a good idea if you handed over the divorce papers in person and had a heart-to-heart talk with your wife. I think you two must have a lot to discuss.” Higuruma advised as he gave him the papers.
“I can't think of anything we need to talk about.” Satoru contested, looking away towards the office windows. It was storming outside and the wind was howling.
“Believe me when I say that divorcing couples always have something to say to each other. How long has it been since you last spoke? Two years? Maybe three?”
“Two years and a half.” Gojo quickly corrected, making the lawyer frown.
“...Well, think about my advice, will you? And you'll see that things will work out.”
That evening, when Satoru returned to his flat, he discovered that although the divorce papers were light, the weight they represented in his life was overwhelming.
He put them down on the desk in his bedroom, and there they stayed for a few weeks, robbing him of his peace and sleep.
Until one night, he decided to put an end to his misery - and insomnia - and return to his hometown, Fairview.
In the early hours of the morning when Gojo made his decision, he was very agitated. He emptied half his wardrobe, even though he only intended to be out of the city for a week. He vacuumed the entire house, even though he had a maid who could do the job for him. And he washed the car, even though it was spotless.
At dawn, Satoru called his fiance to tell her of his decision, while he prepared the food for the trip, which was going to be a long one. And upon hearing her fiancé's decision, Utahime was less than pleased.
“Why? Why all of a sudden?” She asked alarmed through the phone.
“I want to visit my family before we get married.” Gojo replied quickly, while preparing the sandwiches and a salad. “That way I can announce the engagement to them.” He concealed it.
«Ah, but that's where you're wrong, Uta.» Satoru thought to himself. «If you knew what was waiting for me in Fairview, you wouldn't say something like that.»
“Some things have to be said in person.” Gojo hid, as he finished preparing his food and carried his bags to the car. “Don't worry, I'll be back in a week.”
And although Satoru had made a promise to his fiancée, it would be broken for the most unimaginable reasons.
“I swear I'm going to get grey hair before I'm forty if you continue to get on my nerves like this.”
“But that's a good thing, we will match.” He joked, sitting down in the driver's seat of the car with a smile on his lips.
“That's not funny.” Muttered Utahime. “Drive slowly. And watch out for wild animals.”
“I will.” Satoru reassured her. “I'll let you know when I arrive. I love you, Uta”
She didn't reply, but she didn't have to. Gojo knew her feelings, which were now a mixture of love and anger. He knew that she found it difficult to reveal her emotions, which often led to misunderstandings. But deep down, she loved him and was very worried about him.
When the call ended, Satoru turned on the car and pulled his vehicle out of the carpark of his apartment.
The nervousness that had plagued him all night had ceased after talking to Utahime, whose voice always calmed him down, no matter what her mood. More calm, Gojo had the chance to enjoy the cool morning breeze and appreciate the beginning of spring.
The big city was as busy as ever.
Traffic and shops were in full swing early in the morning, and this was the pace of life that Satoru admired, liked and desired.
As Satoru left the city centre and headed for the suburbs, the city rush diminished. But it was still beautiful in his eyes, because it was an interesting mix of the urban and the countryside. Big and small houses, with perfectly tended gardens and families straight out of a soap commercial. Perhaps one day, when he grew old, he would experience that lifestyle.
When Satoru left the populated areas for the motorway, he saw little more than green forests just awakened from the harsh winter.
The rest of the journey remained like that, accompanied by the trees and the radio, playing classics from the eighties and nineties.
Gojo knew he was in town the moment he spotted a large wooden sign painted in white, announcing "Welcome to Fairview, land of sailors and crabs", much to his displeasure and annoyance.
It was dusk by the time Satoru reached the center of the small town that had once, long ago, been his home.
Near the beach, he saw the theater built on a pier, suspended over the sea. There he had unique memories of his teenage years, where life seemed easier and simpler. Satoru also appreciated the cathedral, illuminated by the fiery colours of the sunset, in the heart of the city.
And deep in his heart, Satoru knew that he missed his town, but at the same time, it was this very community that made his spirit and heart sick.
However, this was not the time for him to feel sentimental and nostalgic, as there were more important matters that called him to reason.
Satoru drove to his old home, which he had bought together with his wife in their first years of marriage.
The house itself was nothing luxurious. In fact, it was a very old cottage, located at the entrance to the forest that surrounded Fairview. On arriving at the house, Gojo decided to appreciate - or rather judge - the place that brought back so many memories.
Although the house was small, its grounds were so vast that they followed the forest. Close to the cottage, there was a small lake with a newly built pier, which gave the place its charm. A small greenhouse was built on the other side of the lake, with walls and roof made of glass, supported by white painted steel.
The cottage was still exactly as Satoru remembered. Small and tall, painted white and decorated with reddish bricks that matched the thatched roof. The windows and door remained the same, made of light wood and very traditional.
On the porch of the house, illuminated by fairy lights and decorated with a very nice garden table set, a dog was lying down resting peacefully when he heard Satoru's footsteps.
The dog, a German shepherd, quickly lifted his head and his eyes went wide, like lamps, when he saw Satoru approaching the porch. With his ears raised towards the strange man, the shepherd began to bark quietly, like a whisper, warning him not to go near the house.
Gojo, on seeing that large, unfamiliar dog, was startled to think that his wife no longer lived there. His wife wasn't the type to like such ferocious animals and this dog was very different from the beagle she used to own.
“You're not Maple.” Satoru muttered, rubbing the back of his neck nervously.
As soon as Gojo had spoken, the dog got up and started barking loudly, warning its owner that there was an intruder on the property. He reflexively moved away and decided it wasn't wise to approach the beast.
Realising that he wouldn't be able to reach the front door, Satoru decided to try the back door, which was always unlocked. As he walked to the back garden, he noticed something that made him hopeful again. In the garage, which was always open, was his wife's old car, a 2000s platinum-coloured Mercedes that had belonged to her mother.
The interior of the house remained the same as he remembered it. The floor and doors were made of oak wood, which matched the coffee table and shelves occupied by books and trinkets. The sofa was large and cream-coloured, as were the old walls. The ceiling was adorned with vertical wooden beams the same colour as the floor. And in the center of the room was a very old fireplace made of white stone with a stove in its interior.
A picture frame with a photograph from their honeymoon was carefully placed on top of the fireplace. Satoru smiled slightly and carefully picked up the frame to take a good look at the photograph he hadn't seen for years.
The photo was taken in Greece, near the Aegean Sea, on a very hot summer's day. Gojo remembers that his wife felt very happy that day, in her translucent white beach dress and her hair blowing in the wind, as she searched for shells and whelks in the sand. And he also remembers his wife complaining about the sunburn she got, later in the evening.
“Satoru?” A female voice spoke, drawing him away from his memories.
Gojo put the photograph back where it belonged and turned to face his wife, with whom he hadn't spoken for over two years.
With his discerning eyes, he judged and admired her from top to bottom.
To Satoru's eyes, his Emma looked very different and at the same time very similar to the one of his memories. She was wearing a light blue painting apron, all stained with paint, as was her face, which had traces of oil paint. Her blonde hair was quite long, down to her waist, and tangled into a braid. Emma appeared to have lost a lot of weight and her face was more defined and tired, with dark circles under her eyes.
For Emma, if it hadn't been for Satoru's height and unique silver hair, she wouldn't have recognised him.
«Is he taller? No, he's stronger.» It was the first thing she noticed. The truth was, since his departure to Boston, Gojo looked herculean and healthy. The second thing Emma noticed was his beautiful, captivating eyes, and how much she missed having them around. Eyes embellished with delicate silver lashes that made him look divine.
But, in the back of Emma's conscience, there was a small voice telling her that her husband hadn't come back for the best reasons or because he desired her again.
«I know you want something from me, I just don't know what it is. Yet.» She reflected, as she watched Gojo smile widely.
“Hello honey, how have you been?” He greeted her teasingly, leaving Emma perplexed.
“What are you doing here? How did you get into my house?”
“Through the back door. You should be more careful, anyone can get in that way.” Satoru explained, slowly approaching his wife.
“You've got a lot of nerve telling me that when you've just broken into my house! Through the back door!” Emma said, raising her voice as she pointed in the direction of the laundry room.
“I know, that's why I'm warning you.” The man teased, boldly sitting down on the sofa.
Emma sighed at his audacity and put her hands to her head, trying to keep calm and avoid committing an offence.
“What are you really doing here, Satoru?”
Gojo, still sitting on the sofa, reached into his backpack and pulled out a set of papers, placing them on the coffee table.
“I want a divorce, Emma.” He revealed in a serious, firm tone of voice, which made Emma smile and relax.
“You wish.”
«Ah, so that's what your visit is all about.» Emma thought, relieved, as she left the room and went to the kitchen to wash her hands from the ink.
And Satoru, who didn't appreciate her response, stood up and followed her quickly.
“You don't have to make this any more complicated than it already is, honey. There are three copies, one for me, one for you and one for the lawyers.” He retorted. “I even made sure to tick it to make it easier.”
Emma looked at the papers in her husband's hands and didn't know whether to feel upset that he had insinuated that she was slow, or that he had shown up years later asking for a divorce.
She started laughing in disdain and disbelief.
“What?”
“You've got a lot of nerve for coming home, three years after you left, asking me for a divorce.”
“Are you complaining now?”
“Not really, I just expected something more extravagant coming from you.” Confronted Emma. “I'm not signing those papers. They're not in my interest.”
Out of frustration, Satoru started rubbing his hands over his face, trying to moderate the throbbing pain in his head.
“Come on Emma, why do you have to be so stubborn? Don't you want to leave this phase of your life in the past and start again?”
Emma, who had just washed her ink-stained hands, was furious at Gojo's words and accidentally broke a mug that was lying in the sink, causing the German shepherd to start barking anxiously outside.
“I don't remember you asking my opinion or worrying about me when you left. Or when you decided that Fairview was no longer your home. You made that decision all by yourself! My God, Bear, shut up!” Emma scolded nervously.
An uncomfortable silence fell over the kitchen.
“Sorry, he's nervous because he doesn't know you and we're arguing.” Said the woman with a tired tone and looking away from her husband.
“What happened to Maple?” Satoru asked, looking at the dog, who was also staring at him through the window.
“She died in her sleep. You weren't here…”
Gojo stared at his wife patiently and saw that her eyes were watery, as if she was about to cry. He could tell that Emma was still suffering. And even Satoru couldn't help but feel sad about the death of Maple, who had been a good and special dog and was present in many of their memories.
From the window, it was evident that the sun had hidden and the night reigned outside. Looking at his wristwatch, Satoru realised it was already late and grabbed his backpack, preparing to leave.
“I'll leave the papers with you, make sure you sign them.”
Emma went into the living room and leaned against one of the pieces of furniture, admiring him again.
“If you leave it here, I'll put it in the fireplace.” Warned Emma with a provocative little smile, which made Satoru sigh and put his backpack down on the sofa.
“Why do you have to be so difficult?” He grumbled. “All right, until you sign them, I'm not leaving.” Gojo said, shamelessly sitting down on the couch.
“Careful, that sounds tempting to me.” Emma teased, approaching him. “Go stay with your mother. I'm sure she doesn't know you're in town.”
Satoru remained in silent and that was all Emma needed to hear.
“Satoru, please.”
He just handed her a pen, which made her even more frustrated.
“Do as you wish.” She said with a long sigh and turned away from him.
But Emma wasn't someone who gave up easily or declared defeat after a lost battle.
Cunningly and discreetly, she picked up the landline that was resting on one of the tables in the living room and locked herself in the bedroom, making an unusual call. And there she waited, until she began to hear loud sirens and flashing lights.
“I hope you've got something striped in that bag, it'll come in handy.” Emma joked, leaving the bedroom to the living room, where Satoru had been sitting on the sofa until then.
“Why would I-” Satoru complained, but stopped the instant he heard the deafening sirens of the police car. “You called the police? You know very well that the chief hates me!”
“And with good reason.”
Few stories of rebelliousness could surpass those of Satoru during his teenage years. He was someone who collected achievements like a stamp collector. But despite the wide variety of stories, none surpassed the night he drank too much - as he never had in his life - and stole a car owned by Masamichi Yaga, the chief of the police of Fairview.
What happened that night remains a mystery, but Gojo recalls rallying the car up a hill away from the town. By the end of the night, the vehicle was completely wrecked. Yaga never found out who had committed the crime, but he had strong suspicions.
“Hey Emma, I heard your call on the radio.” Satoru would recognise Suguru's sweet, concerned voice anywhere. “What's happened?”
“The intruder is in the living room. You can take him with you.” Emma explained, making Suguru confused and wrinkling his forehead.
Geto walked heavily to the living room due to his uniform and the tiredness of a long day's work. But all the fatigue and exhaustion quickly disappeared when he ran into his old friend Satoru.
“Satoru?!”
“Hey, it's been a while.” Greeted Satoru excitedly, and moved to give his old childhood friend a strong hug.
After a long hug and a few pats on the back, they separated. Emma enjoyed the reunion of these two tall, strong men, and felt nostalgic about her youth. Until Suguru decided to ask the question of millions.
“You look well. Where have you been?” Suguru asked, making Emma and Satoru look at each other intensely.
“Boston.” Gojo said, looking at Emma. “From what I see, you're still a policeman.”
“Yeah. They pay me well to walk around the city.” Geto jokes, fixing his uniform. “My God, Em, you scared the shit out of me. You know how worried I get about you living alone in such an isolated place.”
“Suguru, be a little more professional. You're handling the suspect of a crime.”
“She doesn't live that isolated. On the way here I saw that they had built two new housing developments nearby.” Satoru replied, leaning against the back of the sofa.
“Still, she's a woman who lives alone in the middle of nowhere.” Suguru reminded him. “She's vulnerable here.”
“Vulnerable? Haven't you seen the wolf she has outside?”
“Excuse me! Firstly, Bear is not a wolf but a German shepherd. Secondly, I don't understand why I'm the subject of this conversation. And thirdly, Suguru, please, get him out of here!” Protested Emma, pointing her finger at Gojo.
“She's right Satoru, you can't force your way into a house.”
“But I didn't break in, I came in through the back door.” Satoru revealed with an insolent smile, causing Suguru to look in disbelief at Emma.
“Really? I already warned you to lock the doors, Em. You should be more careful.” Suguru reminded with a firm voice tone, making Emma feel ashamed. “As for you, this isn't your home anymore, you can't come and go as you please, Satoru. I will have to escort you out.”
“Use the handcuffs, please.” Emma says with a teasing manner. Gojo gave her a perplexed look.
“Suguru, if you can get her to sign these papers, I'll let you run me out of town.” Satoru suggested with a smile on his lips, staring at his wife.
Emma recognized that cheeky grin, full of insistence and the threat of turning lives into a living hell.
«No one so arrogant should have such a charming smile.» Emma thought, looking away from her husband.
“Papers? What papers?” Suguru asked, as Satoru grabbed the documents and handed them to the policeman.
“This is a private matter, Suguru.” She said, feeling uncomfortable as she watched Geto read the documents.
“A divorce application?” Questioned the policeman, looking bewilderedly at Satoru. He then turned to Emma, still surprised. “I thought you'd taken care of this.”
“Me too…”
“Clearly not.” Satoru objected.
“If you two are still married, it's his house too, Em. This is a domestic dispute.” Geto said slowly.
“...He didn't hit you, did he? If he did, I'll take him to the police station.” Suguru declared, leaving Satoru with a tense expression and a furrowed forehead.
The two men stared at her, tense and suspicious of each other.
“No Suguru, Satoru never hit me.” Emma confessed, to the relief of the two men. That was the truth, and although Gojo had many and countless flaws, being violent certainly wasn't one of them.
But the mood for nostalgia had cooled and an uncomfortable silence settled over the living room.
“Well, you two have a lot to catch up on. I'd better go.”
“Suguru, wait! Please don't do this to me! Take him away!” Emma asked anxiously.
“You make me crazy! Sign the damn papers!” Satoru asked Emma.
“There's nothing I can do. The law is the law.” Geto said, pointing at Gojo. “And he hasn't done anything wrong.”
Nimbly, Emma moved and stood between Suguru and the front door, blocking his passage.
“Please, Suguru!” Emma begged, rubbing her palms together. “If you won't take him to the police station, at least get him off my property. I can't get stressed out.”
Suguru looked at Emma closely and saw that she was desperate and distressed, noticing the dark circles under her eyes.
He let out a long sigh and scratched his forehead with his thumb - as he used to do.
“Satoru, I think we should go out and have a drink, what do you say?”
“Wait, are you kicking me out? You can't do that.”
“No, I don't have the authority to do that. I'm giving you advice, because you're being an ass.” Suguru responded, with Emma glaring at the two men. “It's getting late, and I'm sure this discussion can wait until tomorrow.”
Gojo rolled his eyes and bowed his head, before grabbing his bag and heading out the back door without saying another word. Meanwhile, Emma and Suguru look at each other smiling once again.
“Thank you.”
“Just be careful. And lock the doors and windows of the house, please.” Suguru warned before going out through the front door to the porch where Bear was.
Geto petted the head of the German shepherd, that wagged its tail happily. Bear had known Suguru since he was a puppy and enjoyed the biscuits the man gave him.
Suguru opened the door and let him in, as it was already cold outside. Fairview might have a mild climate during the day, but it's nights were always freezing, with sharp winds.
Satoru was leaning against his car, enjoying the night. The full moon's moonlight, delicate and shiny, reflected like silver dust over the garden lake. A light fog rose near the forest and in the trees, he could hear owls hooting and flying.
Despite the cold, it was a lovely evening.
“Nice car.” Suguru said, lighting a cigarette.
“Thanks, it's a BMW X7.” Satoru answered, still frustrated. He turned round and saw the patrol car. “Yours isn't too bad either.”
Both remained silent.
“Have you got a place to stay yet?” Suguru asked, taking a drag from his cigarette.
“I'm going to spend the night at the hotel near the beach.”
“Aren't you staying with your mother?” Geto asked, but Satoru didn't answer. “Does she know you're in town?”
“No. I didn't tell her…”
Suguru let out a long sigh and smoked again.
“You should visit them. Megumi talks about you all the time, he misses you.”
Gojo took a deep breath and looked down at his feet, crossing his arms tightly. Geto looked at him with an arched eyebrow.
“Look, a new bar has opened in town. What do you say we go there for a drink and catch up?” Just as he finished speaking, the radio in his uniform sounded, alerting him to a new occurrence. “Looks like we'll have to wait for another time.”
“Hard day?”
“Yes, a very busy one. You must have brought the chaos of the big city with you.” Joked Suguru, finishing his cigarette and dropping it on the floor. “Well, I should go. It was good to see you.”
“You too. Drive safe.” Satoru reminded, because Suguru was a driving maniac. Geto laughed and shook his head as he remembered something.
“Hey, there's a reunion of old friends this weekend. Just people from school and college. Do you want to come?”
“ I don't know if that would be a good idea.”
“It's nothing formal, just a casual get-together of old friends. We'll have dinner at six at Shells n'Roses and then go to a bar for a drink. It's Saturday, in case you change your mind.”
Satoru nodded slightly and the men said goodbye with a pat on the back.
However, even after Geto left, Gojo remained. In the company of the lake and the moon dancing on the water, he rethought his life and his choices. What his life was and what it could be.
From the window, Emma saw Satoru and, although the man seemed eternally beautiful, with the silver moonlight shining on his white hair, she noticed that he seemed melancholic and quiet compared to who he used to be.
Although compassionate, the woman still felt furious and betrayed by her husband's actions and decided to close the curtains and continue her nightly routine.
She had already experienced too many emotions for one night.

Late spring 2007
{Reader’s pov}
It was a surprisingly warm afternoon, considering it was the middle of October going on. Strolling around campus with no missions and no higher-up breathing down your neck was an unusual occurrence, especially with the surge of curses roaming about recently, other than you there was no sorcerer in sight it was a little off-putting as there were no classes supposed to be held today as the most of the students were on missions already, but nevertheless, the peace was appreciatable.
until it was not,
smack!
a basketball hits the back of your head causing you to stumble forward, wincing at the contact you turn around to see Satoru, peering at you from where the basketball came from with a shit-eating grin.
if the phrase “toot one’s own horn” were a person it would surely be this dumbass
“Sorry shortcake didn't see you there” he yells, snickering beside a sighing apologetic Suguru who comes to your aid. he pulls Satoru with him, holding him by the ear while lecturing him on how not to be an asshole.
“At least someone’s an adult between the two”, you think. in your eyes, geto had always been an understanding, ethical gentleman who always looked out for everyone. other than Shoko and Nanami he was the only individual you could stand being near for more than 5 minutes. you genuinely enjoyed his company but were forced to leave after a certain period due to his annoying shadow, namely Satoru Gojo.
Despicable, despicable was the word you would describe Satoru Gojo with. he was a pain in the ass always looking for excuses to disturb your peace and torment you ever since the day you joined. he is borderline a stalker as he seems to be everywhere you go on “accident”.
tch some accident
as Suguru helps you up, you notice Satoru just staring at the exchange with a shit-eating grin, as if thinking of more ways to make your life miserable.

{Satoru’s pov}
It was afternoon, a surprisingly warm one considering it was the middle of October going on and arguably the most uneventful one this week. No Yaga or higher-up breathing down my neck, no curse to be eradicated, there was no one on campus, no one of interest that is……….or so I thought.
Suguru and I were playing basketball, the score was going 3-2. obviously, I was in the lead but before I could toot my own horn, Suguru rushed past me and scored. 1 couldn’t fret no, not for long that is.
Contrary to my assumption, there indeed was an object of interest on campus, a short and attitude-filled one walking by. I grin to myself as I intercept the ball after Suguru’s basket and “accidentally
lost control of the ball and flung it at her.
Now now, I'm not that big of a jerk. I hadn’t meant for it to hit her as hard as it did, I was only hoping it would brush past her and rile her up. I watched as Suguru ran to help her and unexpectedly dragged me by the ear with him., “Sorry shortcake didn't see you there” I yelled as Suguru bit my ear off.
All my guilt disappeared as soon as I saw that cute familiar little scowl directed at me, I grinned at her then stuck my tongue out, “All that lack of height for what? if the ball still reaches you.” I snicker and she scoffs at that, now clinging to Suguru’s arm who looked ready to kill me.
“Well, I've got a brain to compensate for my lack of brawn, you wouldn’t get it since you don’t have one” she huffs at me as she dusts her uniform and thanks Suguru for helping her.
I chuckle as she walks away from me, dusting her dress and limping
——————————————————————————————————
{a little backstory}
reader and Satoru joined jujutsu high at almost the same time, reader was recruited after having exorcised a special grade curse in her town’s local nursery, the curse had been eating the children who went to the bathroom unsupervised, it had arisen due to the mothers constantly worrying for their children’s safety, reader was working part-time at that nursery when she went to use the washroom and the curse mistook her for a child and tried to attack her, on the verge of death reader blacked out ad woke up to the curse being tied up with…. mysterious threads? which seemed to be arising from her fingertips,
she was spotted by Suguru who had been fascinated by her ability and brought her to jujutsu high and had her enrolled. Since the incident, she has always been a little too fond of Suguru.
{present}
——————————————————————————————————
{reader’s pov}
tch
who did he think he was making fun of my height when his own IQ was that of a five-year-old child, his look and physique may have been gifted to him by the gods but his shitty mouth sure did make up for it and god does he need to up his teasing game? He teases like a primary school child would despite being 17.
Thank heavens for his angel counterpart, Suguru. I'm sure he is the only sane person on campus everyone else including myself is a little cuckoo in the head. I really hope everyone especially Suguru stay with me, together. As for jujutsu sorcerers, there is no guarantee that the average person is a friend or a foe.
how naive I was
He also seems to be the lifeline of Gojo that has kept him from going insane, he really is the best counterpart for that annoying little shit.
I snicker to myself as I make my way to the infirmary to see Shoko, “what’s got you so giggly today?” she asks as I plop down on the infirmary bed.
,” Nothing just had an incident with the devil-duo” I reply snickering, “ Suguru really is caring, the exact opposite of that dumbass, Satoru” I sigh as I pull up my skirt to reveal the wound by my thigh from the fall.
Shoko makes light work of fixing it up as she peers at me with a grin on her face and squiggly eyebrows, “what?” I ask and she giggles, “ I think you like Suguru” she replies and I go silent.
Wait do I like Suguru? no that can’t be, it's just admiration. yeah admiration
——————————————————————————————————
That night, I’m called by Suguru to the water fountain,
,”something the matter?” I ask as i sit down beside him on the rim of the fountain, he looks at me with those purple eyes of his for a moment, then turns his head away sighing.
,”first and foremost, I’m sorry about the way Satoru treated you this morning” he says,
I tch and reply, “you don’t need to apologise for that asshole, it’s fine” i giggle and he smiles.
Turning to me he says, “y/n, what would you do if i were to ditch the jujutsu society, would you run with me or stay” i gulp.
,”ah, wouldn’t that make us traitors? I wish to follow you till the end but committing a crime isn’t on my bucket list” i snicker and he frowns which goes unnoticed by me.
He holds my hand and leads me off the rim,
“What are you doing?” I ask and he flashes me a boyish grin,
“Dance with me” i smiles and proceed to put my arms on his shoulders,
“Why so suddenly? If you don’t mind me asking” as we sway in the evening breeze,
“Im not so sure ill be here soon” he whispers but i laugh it off and he chuckles with me too,
“Dumbass” i grin then blush as i see him leaning closer,
“W-what’s going on?” I stammer out, “can i kiss you?” He replies while leaning in, leaving a hair’s breadth of space between our faces, i gulp
“A-Are you sure?t-this isn’t a prank is it?” He laughs and closes the distance,
Then to my dismay i wake up, flushed red and hyperventilating, sighing i gold my head in my hands,
“What is wrong with me god” i call Shoko and proceed to yap about my dream to which she snickers and drops a not so subtle “i told you so”.
——————————————————————————————————
late summer 2007
It was the onset of fall, young couples could be seen everywhere and anywhere holding hands and doing cute stuff, wearing matching outfits and all that but all I could do was pass by with my latte clutched in my hands as I walked by them to the jujutsu high grounds, already expecting a headache having spotted a nuisance namely Satoru already waiting by the doors for me.
,” Whatchu got there cupcake?” snatches the latte from her and takes a sip,” ew this is bitter”
scowls and snatches it back from him,” Gross now it's infected with your germs, yuck” tosses it into the trashcan in front of him while he looks at her like a puppy kicked to the curb by its owner.
,” What?”
, pouting “You’re so mean to me”
, scrunched her nose “Satoru we both know who’s mean to who” he smirked at that “Now go get a girlfriend to bother or something cause I resign, god”.
he was about to say something but I slipped away having spotted our classmates playing truth and dare by the lockers, guess you could say I was in luck cause it was just Suguru's turn and,
I landed a date.
A DATE WITH SUGURU FREAKING GETO.
I mean he was dared to take me out buuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuut, a win is a win. now here I stood, in a frilly dress with the biggest smile on my face outside my dorm waiting for Suguru to show up, he was running late by 2 hours but it's fine right? must’ve been caught up exorcising a curse. Yeah, that’s definitely it.
I wore a purple summer dress to match his eyes and black heels to go with it,’ I should make an effort to dress up,’ I thought, ‘as the person I'm going out with is a literal dreamboat. ‘ another hour passes by as I wait for him on the porch of the jujutsu high dorms, after awhile I decided to ask his prick counterpart.
I stare at the contact named “Satoru” as I hesitantly press the call;
,” Hello?”
,” Guess it's my lucky day, look who decided to call me
, rolls her eyes before clearing her throat “Is Suguru around?”
“I thought he was with you?”
“I mean he is supposed to be but he isn’t”
“Really? But he left like 4 hours ago, what is dear princess feeling lonely without her prince charming?” his smirk could be heard in his voice
exasperated sigh,” Thanks for nothing jerk, hope someone kills you in your sleep”
“aw we both know you love me” snickers now making kissing noises
“yuck” hangs up
proceeds to wait another three hours before going to sleep, then eventually gives up and goes to sleep leaving him a text,
me: where are you Suguru? are you okay? it’s fine if you’re not ready to take me out just where are you?
Apparently, He didn’t show up
not to our date not to the Jujutsu tech campus
——————————————————————————————————
It was a huge uproar as geto Suguru, a special grade sorcerer (and of course, my date but the higher-ups don’t know that) had apparently betrayed jujutsu high and was nowhere to be found. He had killed all the villagers in the village he was sent to survey and fled with 2 orphans who were mistreated there.
usual Suguru, of course, he felt bad for those girls……………….. Wait what? he killed an entire village? Suguru? the gentlest person to have ever set foot on this planet? Geto Suguru? our Suguru? That can’t be right……..right?
——————————————————————————————————
I stare at the reports in horror as reality sets in, Suguru had really annihilated that village and fled with not so much as a word to any of us and was declared a heinous criminal by the higher-ups.
I frantically paced around the room trying to control my breathing, I was about to have a panic attack, recently there had also been a huge surge in cases around the Kyoto region and one of us was supposed to be relocated there today, it was probably going to be Suguru but not anymore.
I picked up various reports, clutching the table as I could feel tears strumming down my cheeks while looking around at the pictures of us that Yaga had hung up, reports that lay around me in hopes that I read wrong or it was a prank but it wasn’t,
‘it can't be true right? no, they are lying to me,’ I think quivering, as I collapse on the floor clutching my chest, holding back sobs. Heaving, I wobble to the nearest restroom and stumble over, kneeling next to the toilet seat, puking clutching its sides while crying, “m-my dream, i-its wasn’t just a dream but a warning ” i stammer out, banging my head on the wall beside the seat.
I stand up and look at my fucked up state in the mirror above the sink, hair a mess, no mascara or liner running down my face since it was six in the morning and hadn’t even gotten the chance to get ready yet, I look at my horrendous state in the mirror as I think about the impact it would have on everyone else, mainly Satoru, how now he would be forced to shoulder the burden of being stronger than the rest alone, the burden of handling most of the jujutsu world and-
My thoughts get interrupted soon by a knock at my door, as I fumble to look presentable I yell,
,” Who is it?” I
“it's me, y/n” I could make out my principal’s voice, “ may I come in?”
, sighs “Yes, feel free” as I try to tidy myself,
Principal Yaga quietly enters the room, looks at my dishevelled state with a pitiful look and,
tch
gives me oh-so-wonderful news,
I was the one being relocated to Kyoto.
——————————————————————————————————
how is Satoru? why are you being relocated? why right now when your friend's need you? what about Satoru? will he be okay? what about Shoko? why? why was this happening?
there were too many unanswered questions and no time to think as the higher-up's decision was final and was set to completion immediately. guess we'll see next time yeah?

No Nut November !
fandom: jujutsu kaisen
characters: gojo satoru, suguru getou, kento nanami, toji fushiguro, sukuna, shoko ieiri, utahime iori, choso kamo
a/n: i dont usually post nnn, but i decided to do it this year bc why not.
Satoru Gojo
I'd be generous giving him anything more than a week and two days. I have no doubt in my mind about it - Satoru Gojo is the most touchy characters out of them all. And while, yes, he will try his hardest to resist, the beginning of the second week begins to get too much for him and he eventually caves.
Suguru Getō
About four days. I've no idea why it's so specific but it just makes sense. The first two days pass like a breeze for him - until the third and fourth approach, which you up the stakes a bit and show a little more skin. That's where he begins to lose it.
Kento Nanami
Either half the month or two weeks. It's one or the other - either way, he ain't making it out completely unscathed. He'll only really last half the month if you take it easy on him though - minimal to no teasing, and only a fair amount of touching. However, if you decide to add a little bit of spice to things, he may just be tapping around around the two week mark.
Toji Fushiguro
Either the first day or the very last day. Though, the thing is, he knows he could last the entirety of the month. The amount of discipline this man has over his sensuality is utterly surprising. It's just - sometimes, he doesn't wanna last. On the very last day, he could decide to simply throw the whole "game" and say fuck it. He wants to give in sometimes. Others, he'll want to get it on and over with. To not have to hear about how others are struggling with it so badly, and not have to relate himself to it because technically, he already lost, in a sense. Which, however you decide to look at it, is a win for him.
Sukuna
He probably doesn't care enough to participate. Either he doesn't care enough or he's already lost without knowing the "game" was on. And with courtesy, you'd offer for him to start over and consider it a "freebie". Though, he doesn't accept. He simply doesn't see the joy in competing with others about who could basically hold their nut for 30 days. Especially not when he has such a pretty thing in front of him - competition or not, he couldn't hold himself for long, regardless of whether or not tried.
Choso Kamo
I'd give him a couple hours to two days. Apologies, but Choso strikes me as the almost needy type. If not the needy type, then he seems like he'd be the kinda person to try to edge himself. The whole purpose behind it would be to make the "relief better in the end", though he'd simply end up loosing due to pushing himself too far. If not him overdoing it, it'd be your additional flirting to his self-edging that causes him to give in.
Shoko Ieiri
Quite surprisingly, likely two weeks to the whole month. She's even surprised herself, and doesn't even register that the month is over until she asks you whether or not the challenge is over yet. She just.. either doesn't care enough to think too much about it or genuinely forgets until she reminds you or you remind her.
Utahime Iori
A good week or two. I can't see her being too desperate, but it's the fact of how she's feeling. She probably could last if she tried, but at some point, she ends up caving because she saw you in an outfit you full and well know she goes off the brink for. Even then she'll try to isolate herself, but any small gesture toward her or even watching you simply exist sends her off the edge.

Digimon Adventure 02 - Christmas Fantasy (Music CD)
An 02-specific Christmas album that came out in the year 2000, how fun. I wish more anime had their own Christmas albums, I think that's pretty rare. Well, the 2000s were kinda a renaissance era for random character songs I think. (Take me back!)
This album is pretty short and sweet but has some real gems in it! I'll definitely be adding it to my "Weeb Christmas" playlist lol.
Minna no Christmas (Everyone's Christmas)
Video with English subs
A super generic Christmas song sung by the Butter-Fly dude (Wada Koji)! I believe this was used as bgm at one point? Anyway, it's charming enough. I wish it was more of a digimon song though. This could have come from any anime.
It's always interesting to see the more western version of Christmas being celebrated in Japan. Since this is a show for kid's we get the version with Santa and presents rather than the romantic one seen in anime with older characters.
In the beginning of the song he mentions hanging stockings "by the window" instead of a fireplace which makes sense for apartment dwellers. I think that's the only less traditional thing I noticed.
Jingle Bells (Sung by Takeru and Iori)
Video with English subs
Hell yeah, now this is what I'm talking about! We get a Takeru-Iori duet which feels like a rare treat. On top of that there's a little interlude where they talk about what Christmas presents they should buy their digimon. Adorable!
They mention buying Patamon a haramaki (belly warmer)...Frontier reference? This came out a few years before that series though...
This one is really fun to sing along to lol
I Saw Mommy Kissing Santa Claus (Sung by digimon)
Video with English subs
Woah, I wasn't expecting the English lol. They did a good job except they said "mistle too" instead of "mistle toe" hehe.
I've never heard this song in Japanese before. They changed the lyrics to reveal that Santa = Papa which I think kinda goes against the point of the original song lol. (The kid's not supposed to know that!)
They call the 02 digimon "Jogress Shinkers" which I believe is a pun on "shinka (evolution)" and "singer." Looks weird in an English context, but it's kinda cute.
Silent Night (Sung by Hikari and Miyako)
Video with English subs
Damn, I forgot how religious Silent Night is. Well, it's still pretty. This one had no extra digimon nuggets in it, they just sang the song. It was interesting to hear the Japanese version of it.
Wish someone would do fan animations for these songs. Everyone looks so cute in their Santa outfits.
Daisuke and Ken's Shopping Carol
ASDFGHJKL omg, I got my wish! This one DOES have a fan animation and it's amazing! (Please watch!)
This is the best day of my life lol. This one was amazing. The banter, the goofy chorus, Ken and Daisuke calling each other "baby" (?) A must listen. (Especially if you're a shipper).
Ken mentions buying a present for Osamu at the end (and Wormmon) 😭
Angel's Prayer (sung by AiM)
Video with English subs
I remember this song from the show (insert song). It's technically sung by Mimi's voice actor, but not in character. It has generic nonsense lyrics about dreams coming true and being reborn as an angel. You know, just stuff that was thrown in to sound magical.
I'm not the biggest fan of this one, but I think it was smart to place it at the end of the album. It feels like this is the ending theme and Minna no Christmas is the opening, nice little bookends.

Satoru Gojo's Ticklish Punishment
Fandom: Jujutsu Kaisen Characters: Satoru Gojo | Suguru Geto | Utahime Iori Lee!Gojo Ler!Geto Ler!Utahime Summary: Satoru Gojo is many things. Annoying and arrogant are adjectives that are at the top of the list and not even your friends can take it anymore, so why not make him change a little and at the same time have fun with a little revenge?
"G-Guys, what does that mean?"
Gojo had agreed to go to Geto's apartment to discuss the new mission they received the day before, but the last thing he expected was...
He was sitting in an armchair, his arms tied behind his back and his legs stretched out, also tied on the living room coffee table.
"It was one of my sleeping curses, you were only unconscious for as long as it took for us to contain you" It was Geto speaking, he was standing next to him, leaning on the same armchair.
"I asked Geto to help me, I wanted to get revenge on you" Utahime was sitting on the coffee table, next to Gojo's feet, with a triumphant expression on her face.
"What? but why?" Gojo's eyes widened. "And why did you agree to this, Suguru?"
"Ah, I had nothing to do, so it's a chance to have fun and get out of the boredom" He smiled.
"A chance to have fun? But-" He stopped talking when he felt a scratch on his sole. "H-Hey, Utahime!"
"It is really true!" She had a sparkle in her eye.
"Y-You.." He had already understood. "You can't ahahahahahahahahaha" And he couldn't help but laugh when he felt her fingers moving across his sole.
"Yes, I can, and how can I! You keep disrespecting everyone, especially me, it's time to stop" She used her index finger to trace imaginary lines and paths that went from the heel to the base of Gojo's toes. "Geto agrees with me"
"Ahahahahahahahahahahaha Utahime, w-wahahahahahahahahait!"
"She's right, Satoru, how many times have I told you to treat your elders more respectfully?! At some point the consequences would arrive" He smiled.
"Wait a minute, you can't ahahahahahahahahahahahahaha" He couldn't finish the sentence.
"I'm tired of waiting" Utahime started scribbling his fingers all over Gojo's right sole.
"Ahahahahahahahahahahahahaha nohohohohohohohohohoho" He laughed as he tried to shake his foot away from her hands. "hahahahahahahaha stop stahahahahahahahahahap"
"Oh no, we're just getting started. You come too, Geto" She pointed to Gojo's left foot.
"S-Suguru nohohohohohohohohoho take me out of here ahahahahahahahahahahaha"
"I will eventually, but for now.." He joined Utahime, trailing his fingers along his sole.
"AHAHAHAhahahahahahahahahaha no nohohohohohohohohohoho wait ahahahahahahahahaha" Gojo was overcome by sensations.
Utahime strummed harder, concentrating on the center of her sole, while Geto covered the entire sole of the foot with softer strokes. But they both watched as Gojo laughed and doubled over, trying to free himself from his bonds.
"Ahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha no nohohohohohohohoho stahahahahahahahap" Gojo was a mess, his face slightly red, his hair disheveled and tears forming in the corners of his eyes.
"Did you hear that, Geto? He doesn't want us to stop" She giggled.
"Haha, how mean, Utahime" He stopped. "Let's give our friend a break"
"E-Enough.." Gojo said trying to catch his breath. "Get me out of here"
"That's up to you, Satoru.. Are you going to change your behavior?" Geto went to his side, leaning on the armchair again.
"I also want you to apologize to me!" Utahime said, crossing his arms.
"Me? You're the ones who should be apologizing! You can't just-" He was interrupted.
"Yeah, you said it right, Geto" Utahime sighed. "He's proud and doesn't make it easy"
"Yeah... But it's okay, there's another spot I want to test" He said, poking Gojo's ribs.
"AH! He shrank away. "You wouldn't dare.."
Geto knew about Gojo's sensitivity, he had discovered it naturally with a few touches here and a few pokes there, until one day he took better advantage of the opportunity and Gojo ended up laughing and completely defeated on the floor.
"I have nothing to lose.." He smiled and fingered her ribs.
"AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA SUGURU NO HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA"
"Wow.." Utahime watched, amazed, as Gojo bent, thrashed and laughed against Geto's tickles. "I want it too"
"AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA NO NO, STAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAP" This time it was Utahime who squeezed his ribs while Geto held him by the shoulders, keeping him leaning so he wouldn't get in the way. "AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA STAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAP THAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAT, PLEASE!" And they stopped.
"Oh, I'm surprised you say such a polite word like that" Geto mocked. "But you still haven't said what we want to hear"
"Make it easy on yourself"
"I-I don't.." Was all Gojo said while breathing heavily.
Utahime and Geto exchanged a look, at the same time they sighed, but they weren't surprised. While Utahime sat down again near Gojo's feet, Geto pulled a chair to the side of the armchair and sat down.
"You asked for this! " They said together.
"AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA NO, NOHOHOHOHOHOHOHOHOHOHOHO HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA STAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAP" Gojo was surprised by Utahime's fingers running over his soles and Geto's fingers pressing his ribs. "HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA I WILL DIE, HAHAHAHAHAHAHA PLEASE STAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAP"
"Begging won't help, even though it's great to hear from you" That's what Utahime said and Geto approved with a smile.
Gojo wasn't able to think straight, he could feel the way Utahime's fingers slid across his soles, hitting all the sensitive spots and the way Geto's fingers traced his ribs, alternating between squeezing them one by one. He wouldn't last long.
"AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA OK, OKAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAY I'M SOHOHOHOHOHOHOHOHOHORY" He finally give up.
"What did you say, Satoru? I couldn't understand.." Geto wouldn't miss the chance to tease him.
"AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA I'M SORRY, I'M SOHOHOHOHOHOHOHORY HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA" He screamed and they stopped.
"Thank you for doing this voluntarily, Gojo, I forgive you" She smiled and turned to leave.
"And you have nothing to tell me, Satoru?" He threatened to tickle him again.
"I-I'm going to change!" He said quickly.
"Haha, that's good, I'm pleased" He smiled and free him. "Now we can talk about the mission"
But Gojo just stood there, recovering and thinking how much he liked and hated those two at the same time.

Will You Be My Valentine? - AKYR + AMPRULE
Akanyatsura
Hokusai Masaki:
Hokusai realized, almost too late, that he had to actually ask you to be his valentine for you to know that you were his. He had been going based off your relationship, the closeness you had making him logically arrive at the conclusion that you were his valentine, but he was informed that it was not the way it worked. When he had gone to seek you out he found you anxious and shuffling on your feet, surprised that you felt so nervous about asking him to be your valentine when he had already made that choice long ago.
Iori Suiseki:
Iori had suspected you were up to something but had patiently sat back, not one to assume but certainly knowing what was on your mind. You still managed to surprise him with a homemade gift as well as asking him to be yours for Valentine’s Day, the genuine smile on his face and his laughter filling the room the best gift you could’ve asked for. He wrapped you in a hug, pulling you as close as he could before letting you know he had already made plans for the two of you. If asked on why he didn’t make the first move he just laughed again, saying it was always pleasant to be the one pursued (and that he’d make your efforts worthwhile, in the end).
Reo Maruyama:
Reo winked, flirted, and accepted all gifts tossed his way on Valentine’s Day. Someone with his charm was used to all of this attention, but it could get exhausting after constant stimulation from others for hours on end. Plus, it never felt quite as special as a valentine really should, which he never realized until he had someone solid in mind that he wanted as his valentine. He’s glad that you’re the one who asked because it meant he could hide how in love with you he was (since he considered making the first move, which he certainly doesn’t do for just anyone), and he immediately rattled off all the things he wanted to do on that day with you since he hadn’t stopped thinking about it since the month began.
Satsuki Ito:
Satsuki cuts you off QUICK, on his knees like he’s groveling as he held your hands tight and began to sweat. There’s an awkward pause as you wait for him to explain the feral yell that was torn from his throat but it seemed he needed another minute to think, perhaps regretting his hasty reaction. He had to be the one to ask, after all, but the courage didn’t suddenly appear like he hoped it would. He does manage to stutter out the question because he’s not a quitter, but he won’t make eye contact, especially not after Reo asks why it looked like he was proposing.
Zen Gaho:
Zen is fighting to hide how hot his face is growing, touching his own burning hot cheeks and wondering how he got lucky enough to attract your attention. After pining away for you for who knows how long, finally having the confirmation that you felt the same for him was almost too much to bear. You cradle his face in your hands as he started to tear up, refusing to actually let them fall as he didn’t want to ruin the mood but he couldn’t help how overwhelmed with emotion he was. He would make this your most romantic Valentine’s Day yet!
AMPRULE
Chungsung Baek:
Chungsung is pleasantly surprised, licking his lips at the homemade gift you hand to him after asking him to be your valentine. While he doesn’t presume he’ll have any free-time on that day, much like he doesn’t most days as he attends to his master, he’s still flattered that you asked. He supposed he could carve out some of his own personal time while Dongha was busy to spend with you, not quite an official date but there were a few meals he could whip up that the two of you could enjoy together. He’s never pursued a relationship like this but he’s excited to see where it may lead.
Dongha Yeon:
You had debated on even asking Dongha as it didn’t seem like something he’d be interested in, but you had done stupider things to get his attention before so you thought you might as well. He’s actually quite surprised to hear the question, to have such a blatant act of affection thrown in his face like this leaves him frozen. Did you want something from him? Surely being seen with the Yeon heir would do wonders for you, but your stuttered out ‘date plan’ only consisted of spending time together indoors watching movies… What did you want from him? He accepted, because he certainly couldn’t have you asking someone else to be your valentine, and he’d simply have to probe you later to find out what your motives were.

people will talk (no matter what)
pairing: junpei iori x gn!reader
summary: when a group of girls makes fun about junpei behind his back, you stand up for him! only that junpei has been secretly listening this entire time...
tags: mutual crushes (junpei & reader), protective!reader, angst with a happy ending, sees!reader, vague mutual confession
“what's your exam score?”
“mine is pretty low… but hey, junpei seems to have done even worse than me, so at least i'm not the worst in our class!”
laughter echoed through the hallway, as a group of girls stood in front of the bulletin board that the results of the last exams were on. even at the stairs, junpei could hear them, quietly sitting there and listening to them making fun of him behind his back, even though he knew it would only hurt him if he stayed and listened…
“that guy… does he even study? i mean, nobody can be that dumb!”
“you're right! he really is good for nothing! but he isn't even hot enough to be that dumb!”
again, laughter echoed through the hallway, as junpei gripped onto the hem of his uniform in frustration. that's how people thought about him behind his back? a good for nothing, with bad looks and bad grades?
“that's not true–!”
suddenly, a familiar voice snapped junpei out of his thoughts. and even the girls who were just making fun of him seemed to be startled. as junpei listened in closely, he recognized your voice. you were the one who moved into the dorms recently! the one who seemed to have potential to join S.E.E.S.!
“junpei might not have the best grades, but he's not stupid! perhaps academics aren't his strong suit, but he's a hard worker! even late at night, he's studying with the others at the dorms! so, don't talk about him like that–!!”
junpei needed a moment to realize what you were talking about. what you had mistaken for nightly study sessions actually were trips to tartarus. though it was true. he gave it his all when it came to S.E.E.S.! he was working hard on becoming stronger and useful to the team, leading to his grades suffering because of it.
“w-what? what are you even talking about?”
the girls that you had confronted seemed perplex that someone would actually stand up to them, especially for junpei iori, of all people!
“is he like… your boyfriend?”
“yeah, why do you care so much about that loser?”
junpei quietly left his spot on the stairs, to sneak a glance around the corner at you. and there you were, hands on your hips and an angry look on your face, as you scolded those girls.
“he may not be my boyfriend, but i still care about him! i think junpei is a great guy! and if you don't know him, you shouldn't talk about him like that! he deserves better than that!”
some of the girls have gotten a bit quiet, almost as if they were starting to regret what they said.
“well… w-whatever!” one of them huffed. “guess he's someone's type, even if we can't see anything good in him~!”
with a last dismissive comment and an eye roll, the group of girls left the scene, leaving you all alone. or rather, leaving you all alone with junpei, who had been listening in until the very end.
“that was… really nice of you!”
you jumped surprised when you suddenly heard junpei's voice. as you looked around frantically, you spotted the boy by the stairs, walking towards you with a sheepish smile.
“j-junpei? i–”
you panicked a little.
“since when were you here…?”
“before you joined the conversation…”
“oh…”
there was a moment of awkward silence between the two of you, as neither of you quite knew what to say. junpei didn't want to make any assumptions based on what he heard, while you worried that he might realize why you were defending him.
“i– i’m sorry!”
you eventually broke the silence.
“i'm sorry that you had to hear that. but… they were wrong about you! i think… you are a great guy, junpei! a really, really great guy…”
you could feel your cheeks heat up as you said those words, staring at junpei, unsure if you wanted him to understand what you meant or not.
“you're… pretty great too!”
junpei replied with a sheepish smile, gently bumping his fist against your arm.
“standing up for someone like that… i couldn't have done that, i think. you're much more confident than i am…”
“n-no, i– i'm not confident at all, actually…”
how could you call yourself confident if you couldn't even tell junpei you had a crush on him? talking about him behind his back was easy! in that regard, you were just like those girls. but saying it to his face was the hard part.
“you're… not?”
junpei seemed a bit confused.
you softly shook your head.
“if i was confident, i… well, i would–”
i would confess to you, right here and now! that's what you wanted to say. but you couldn't get those words out.
“i think i understand you…”
junpei rested a hand on your shoulder and smiled, noticing how nervous you had gotten.
“you don't have to say it, if you can't do it, you know? not like i could blame you for it! after all, i'm the biggest coward of all. i couldn't even stand up for myself, nor could i say what i think you mean to say. so it's alright if you can't say it! i think i still get what you mean…!”

in my heart, Sekais aren't exclusive to the MCs
i headcanon that specifically Iori, Mai, Souma and Asahi have each created one. they either aren't aware of them, or we don't know that they have them
especially Mai. given that she overworked herself enough to injure herself, her desire to be an idol was definitely strong enough to form a Sekai. and what if it was a nudge from Virtual Singers that encouraged her to finally reach out and apologise to Haruka? and since she's now wanting to be a stage actress, the Sekai itself could have changed...
#those ones specifically cause i think they have notably strong ambitions#Iori has always been passionate about STANDOUT which was especially seen with how impatient she got with Mio before they reconciled#Souma was the one who wanted to see RAD WEEKEND and got Arata interested too#Asahi was literally saved by theatre during a time when he was terrified and in danger#the photo of him watching Tom Gray's show was what reunited him with his parents#ace's random thoughts :)#project sekai#pjsk#pjsekai#proseka#prsk

Hi hello I was looking back at the canto 3 DQ scene and had some stuff I wanted to share, rather rambly however, sorry.
For one, Sinclair getting the KotWM is rather funny in hindsight, especially with the lines he was given the 'visions of promise' and the connection to fate given the mirae-mirae river. He has Impending Day for the theme of fate/future as well as he calls the day Kromer asks for the basement key the 'promised day', not to even mention how the blue is of course Demian's main colour, and how the KotWM defeats Don in the source which I am hoping to mean he pays Donqui back for beating him back to his senses.
But onto what this ask was originally going to be about, while in canto 3 its called their 'deal' I am of the opinion the promise White Moon Sinclair mentions is that very deal. With the possibility if the flow Vergillius follows being somewhat literal given the subterranean rivers, and the fact that this was seemingly a deal with him specifically and not the company at large/part of her contract, I do wonder what exactly that promise was, not exactly sure what sort of deal Sancho would want for. But! Vergillius does mention that something significant went down at her recruitment, given the context of the scolding then perhaps she jeopardised something she held dear.
Knowledge on this point is courtesy of Wikipedia, I am somewhat out of my element on this one:
Mambrino's helm within the story is given a familiar golden glow, plus with the way Don flounders when asked of its location, leads me to believe its somehow involved with the [checks notes] 4th person to be stabbed with a bough, namely in being the bough itself or a part of it - if clockhead is anything to go by, then it could be the source of the powers its said to have in the source story, namely invulnerability. Its power is one that can be funneled into being used for a specific purpose via resonance or synchronisation: see canto 6 wherein Dante synchronises with one in order to funnel the power through their clock head and thus produce time related results, so perhaps it gave him the boost in energy needed to make La Manchaland reappear?
On the topic of the bough, it and what's effectively its new host have a bundle of what seems like roots under it, and the familiar golden glow has been tainted red, solidifying that its been a good while since the impailment. I do wonder how someone managed to do that though, unless someone has whatever Iori has going on or whatever Bari has going on I don't think it'd be easy. Unless WARP shenanigans in case it counts as a separate dimension W corp tech can help one travel to.
Small thing but the background in Sansón's little solo shot has a pattern with a star in the center, four pointed just as the one Dante follows and this is a very subtle reference to the fact his part of the Blue Group. Also the way Don Prime has his arks covered in the sprites of the past is awfully reminiscent of Hermann to me. Add to that the small star on his necklace you can see if ya squint.
Sancho also looks awfully happy in the door opening cutscene as well, I wish her and her extremely fluffy hair well.
I believe that's all I have to say, well wishes and I hope Thursday decides to hurry up a little
Hello! Okay, I reread your ask a few times and will try my best to answer but I kinda want to make known that English isn't my first language and I can misunderstand some things, so please free to correct my mistakes!
And about first, yeah! It's extremely interesting that Sinclair has the role of Blue Knight, with hints of Bari being sort of prophet. Also even more connections with Blue team?(could he be a sleeping agent) It also interesting to me that out of all characters in this stories Bari is only human(or well Bloodfiends think she human) and it also an interesting thing to me that Sinclair got this role.
I keep thinking about karma getting to her for beating Sinclair, but to be honest, right now, I don't see it's happening. Don isn't distorting. She's actually more lucid than ever, so you can't bear her to senses? It could be an opposite where they will try to beat her and put Rocinante, but I feel like it would be narratively wrong? She needs to wake up.
However, I still think that Sinclair will make an important and difficult decision. I just think that maybe it will be a canto in which they start to think that beating people while they experience psychological breakdown until they get a breakthrough isn't the best idea. But it's too much hope, I think.
For the second point with the deal, well... I do see a point, and it makes sense, but I have trouble with accepting it. Gut feeling or something else.
About Mambrino helm, actually, I kinda think Don Quixote is wearing it right now. At least this thing looks a lot like golden helm. I'm not sure what it's doing through.
About Don Quxote being stabbed with Bough, I think it helps to keep him alive and maybe even empowers, but as we know, Sanson also somehow has access to its power?
It actually could mean that he isn't Higher Kindred, but just a Bloodfiend thar got power from it. Sinners thought that his abilities to force them into plays are Bloodfiends one, but what if they aren't?
Thank you for the information about stars! I didn't even notice it tbh.
And yeah, Sancho is... not happy( but I am)
And Thursday is just five days away.
I unfortunately will have classes so will he late to a party...

Specialized Extracurricular Execution Squad Activity Report
Part 4
6/27 (Sat) - Reporter: Akihiko Sanada
It seems like I've worried everyone. I'm grateful, but there's no need to worry. As a senior, I can't show any shame. Well, that's enough about that topic.
More than that, it seems that the number of Apathy Syndrome cases is increasing again. This time there were many cases where apparently a pair of a man and a woman became Lost at the same time. Maybe it has something to do with the characteristics of the next large Shadow...
Well, it's best not to jump to conclusions.
We'll find out when the next full moon comes. Oh, and I heard a rumor at school that's bothering me. Apparently, something called a "revenge request website" is becoming a hot topic.
It's the sort of urban legend that says that if you post something on the site, someone will take revenge for you...
Sorry, I can't really explain why this story is bothering me. I think it would be more persuasive if someone with a keen sense like Takeba explained it. If I find out anything else, I'll let you know.
6/28 (Sun) - Reporter: Junpei Iori
Hello, I'm Junpei.
The two seniors are out again today, so we'll be taking a break from fighting in Tartarus.
Yukari-chan's sharp intuition, you know... Well, it certainly seems like there are times when it seems like she has some weird intuition. The moment I started talking about Yuka-tan, someone asked me from behind, "Junpei, did you say something?"
I wish I could have the keen intuition to sense Yukari's approach, like Lucia from Fuuka.
Whenever I say something strange in a report, it always comes back the next day...Maybe this is also a woman's intuition?
Hmm, Yuka-tan is truly formidable...
6/29 (Mon) - Reporter: Yukari Takeba
Well, this is Takeba.
Well... there's a full moon in just a week. I won't be able to do it every day, but I've been gaining strength in Tartarus and I feel like I've made progress. But, as expected, the lack of information beforehand is a problem. All we know is that it's a full moon, and we can't decide on a strategy. If anyone knows anything, please let me know as much as you can. This was Takeba.
6/30 (Tue) - Reporter: Mitsuru Kirijo
This is Kirijo.
The day has already changed, and it's already July 1st. There's only one week until the full moon. I'm glad to see that everyone is preparing.
Takeba-san...Your opinion is valid, but I don't have any more information about the shadows right now.
I'm really sorry. I'll try my best to find out as much as I can in the future.
For now, I'll just state the characteristics of the next large Shadow that is currently known. If we go in order, the Arcana is Hierophant, the Pope. As far as I can deduce from the enemies that belong to this Arcana among the normal ahadows that appear in Tartarus, there is a high possibility that they will be good at magic attacks, especially geo-type attacks. If this is of any help, please use it to prepare for battle.
...I'm really sorry.
I'm taking care of you because I'm powerless. But, I'll ask you again. I'm counting on you guys.
7/1 (Wed) - Reporter: Junpei Iori
Hi, Junpei here. Oh man, I'm so fed up with you, Kirijo-senpai. It's okay, you don't have to take it so seriously. Lack of information is fine! Your opponent won't lack any! Besides, we've been on a winning streak lately, so isn't that just a good handicap?
As long as you always stay relaxed and enjoy the tension, it's all okay! ...or so I heard.
Oh, no, listen to that instead! Junpei's Belive It Or Don't Continued! Well, it was the middle of the night last night, and I heard some voices. There's a room next to mine, one of which is empty and the other one is occupied, and from there... I heard some kind of mumbling... I heard some kind of voice. It really freaked me out. So, I mustered up all my courage and put my ear to the wall. And then...
It was just the leader talking in his sleep. Anyway, I'm not getting enough sleep today. Wow.
7/2 (Thu) - Reporter: Fuuka Yamagishi
Good evening, this is Yamagishi. Ummm... Junpei-kun? I have a message for you from Yukari-chan, so... please don't get mad, okay?
... aren't you stupid?
One more thing... I mean, aren't you stupid? I-I did tell her. Phew, I'm not cut out for this sort of thing...
And from me, to Kirijo-senpai. Ummm, I can't really explain it well, but I think I'm probably fighting for myself. Please don't take it all on yourself.
That sounds a bit... arrogant. Sorry. I'll talk to you again after I've gathered my thoughts.
7/3 (Fri) - Reporter: Shuji Ikutsuki
It's Ikutsuki. ...Well, it's been a while since I've heard everyone's voices, and somehow there's a subtle discord. Well, even though we know the cycle of the large Shadows, there are still at least eight left, so I understand that you're feeling anxious about a lot of things.
However, in times of crisis like this, I want all the members to come together as one and face the difficulties. Isn't that what it means to be human? Right?
I'm not saying that if you believe, your wishes will come true, but it's your beliefs that give you strength when it really counts. I want you to think again about the meaning of your fighting. Because it's your beliefs... Oh, I'll stop here for today. It was a good talk.
7/4 (Sat) - Reporter: Akihiko Sanada
Ikutsuki-san...
I don't mind if you like puns. But if you're going to say it, then say it, and if you're not going to say it, then don't. It bothers me if you get stopped midway.
But what's the point of fighting...?
In my case, I don't have any grudge against shadows themselves. I simply hunt them down because they are a threat to people's peace.
I just don't like doing nothing when there's someone I could be helping in front of me. That's why I wanted power. If this power isn't enough, I'll keep improving myself until I get the power I need.
7/5 (Sun) - Reporter: Yukari Takeba
Hi, this is Takeba.
If I think back, maybe I said something weird? Hmm, if I take it that far, I might feel a little responsible.
For now, let's do as Sanada-senpai said and prepare for the next Shadow! Even I know that this is the most important thing. Anyway, we have no choice but to do it.
Actually, yesterday morning, I bumped into the leader on my way to school and we talked for a bit. He's usually a bit unsociable, but when I asked him, he answered me. Then I felt a little better. I realized that it's important to communicate your thoughts and receive them.
Anyway, the full moon tomorrow is the fifth large Shadow battle. The enemy Arcana is the Hierophant. Let's do our best!
7/6 (Mon) - Reporter: Mitsuru Kirijo
This is Kirijo.
Tomorrow is finally the full moon. It seems that many people, including me, are sensitive, but please concentrate and defeat the shadows.
...Yes. I don't know if it will help ease your tension, but let me share a little trivia.
It's about how we call the moon. The "full moon" during which large Shadows appear is an astronomical name that is determined based on the ecliptic coordinates of the celestial body. A full moon occurs when the difference in ecliptic longitude with the sun is 180 degrees. And the name "15th night" that you often hear is based on the date of the lunar calendar. In this case, even if the moon is not a perfect circle, the moon on the 15th is called the 15th night. And when it comes to the "age of the moon," it is calculated based on how many days have passed since the moment of the new moon.
According to this, tomorrow will be a full moon, the moon will be 14.8 days old, and the 15th night. On the 8th of last month, the moon was full, the moon was 15.1 days old, and the 16th night. How about that? It's pretty interesting, isn't it?
7/7 (Tue) - Reporter: Fuuka Yamagishi
Good evening, this is Yamagishi.
Today was my first time... well, to be precise I took part in a battle in June, but this battle was the first time I was able to join everyone from the start of the operation.
What can I say... in many ways, it was a valuable experience...
Today's location was on Shirakawa Street, east of Iwatodai... Ah, that's right. To borrow the words of the Chairman, it was an amusement hotel... Ugh, that's not a good place to report. It was a love hotel... Anyway, I sensed the presence of a large Shadow there. I asked everyone to head there. However, it seems that the enemy had a plan this time, and after defeating the first Hierophant type, we made the blunder of allowing the Lovers Arcana Shadow to attack us mentally... In the end, everyone was safe thanks to the leader's efforts, and Sanada-senpai said, "In the end, we figured out the enemy's position, so that was good," but if we think about what might have happened... we can't be at ease just because everything turned out okay. Also, I didn't really understand the details of the enemy's mental attack... but it seems that Yukari-chan and Kirijo-senpai were a little mentally damaged, so I'm worried. I've said this many times before, but don't try to handle everything on your own, feel free to consult me about anything.
By the way... when the mission was over, Yukari-chan and Kirijo-senpai smelled nice of shampoo. Is that related to anything?
7/8 (Wed) - Reporter: Akihiko Sanada
Yamagishi, there are some things you really don't want people to know. Leave them alone.
Well, Yamagishi made that kind of report yesterday, but I think she got the best possible results. She was completely caught in a trap set by the enemy Shadow, but managed to escape it brilliantly.
Well, it's great that you have the determination to reflect on the problems and make improvements. I'll keep it up for the next operation. And Leader. You probably don't come to the strategy room often, and I don't know if you've heard this report, but you did a great job this time too. Get some rest.
...I know I'm saying this right after I've given you words of appreciation, but the final exams are less than a week away. You may not be properly prepared for the fight against the shadows, but please do your best. Good luck, Junpei!
7/9 (Thu) - Reporter: Junpei Iori
Hey, it's Junpei.
Ah, that's right. Final exams start next Tuesday, don't you think?
Well, I know studying is useless, so I'll just do my best... See you then...
7/10 (Fri) - Reporter: Mitsuru Kirijo
It's Kirijo... What's wrong, Iori?... I heard from Akihiko that you've been holed up in your room since returning to the dorms today. If you're not feeling well, there's a good hospital run by Kirijo. I'll introduce you to it, so go there early. I'm sure you've had a lot going on. I won't pry into your affairs, so don't keep your worries to yourself. Above all, there are only four days left until the final exam. I'm sure you have a lot to think about, but what we should be focusing on right now is the final exam material, not shadow fighting. I think I told you this before, but I'm thinking of a little reward for the top performers. Everyone, do your best and don't forget your duties as a student.
7/11 (Sat) - Reporter: Fuuka Yamagishi
Good evening, this is Yamagishi.
Today was a real cacophony... Actually, Yukari had asked me to look into the accident from 10 years ago, and I had a premonition that something like today would happen.
Maybe because I was looking at it from a third-person perspective, I feel like I understand both Kirijo-senpai's feelings of not being able to tell the truth, and Yukari's feelings of blaming her. And as for my own feelings...I told Kirijo-senpai directly, I'm happy that I'm needed. I don't have a reason to fight, but I do have a reason for wanting to be here. Isn't that the same for everyone? Is that not okay?...It'll be okay, right?
7/12 (Sun) - Reporter: Fuuka Yamagishi
Good evening, this is Yamagishi.
I'm a little proud that I've been talking for two days in a row, as if I've got all this equipment all to myself.
Today, everyone seems to be studying in their rooms. Sanada-senpai was out all day, but he came back after dark and it seems like he's also holed up in his room.
When will everyone be able to hear my voice? Maybe not until after the exams are over?
I've thought about it a lot, but I don't think anyone is to blame... We are all just doing our best to do what we can, but it's sad to see them separated like this.
Each person has something that only they can do. There are times and places when their power is needed. This is the case now, when there are so many people suffering from Apathy Syndrome, and in the case of SEES, and in the case of Personas.
Isn’t that what power is?
...I believe that everyone will understand without me having to say it. For now, let's do our best to study for the exam.
I have some research to do, so I'll just mess around with my device for a bit before getting back to studying. Well, good night...
7/13 (Mon) - Reporter: Yukari Takeba
Well, it's Takeba. Oh, exams start tomorrow. I thought I'd take a break and write up my activities for the first time in a while.
Ha. Seriously, after hearing that message from Fuuka, I can't not say anything at all, Fuuka is surprisingly cunning.
First of all, I'd like to say something about how everyone has been quick to avoid touching the sore spot and has not come to ask, yet have a strong aura of wanting to know what's going on.
I talked to the leader a bit about it, but I apologized to Kirijo-senpai for what happened the other day. Sorry for saying too much. There are still some parts I'm not entirely convinced of, but then there are people close to me who are suffering from Apathy Syndrome, and if I fight the shadows, I might be able to cure that, so I can't just sit back and watch. Yeah. That's right.
Oh, and thank you Chairman for your suggestion to go to Yakushima. I'm looking forward to it. Well, if you don't tell me a pun as a thank you, I'll be sure to not give you a cold shoulder just this once.
And then... oh, that's right. That idiot Junpei Iori is always complaining about swimsuits. He should be the only one without Yakushima, so I hope he gets a part-time job at the swimsuit section of a department store. This was Takeba.
7/14 (Tue) - Reporter: Akihiko Sanada
Today is the first day of the final exams. Thanks to the Chairman's timely suggestion, the atmosphere in the dorm seems to have improved a little. Of course, there is still that tense atmosphere that is unique to exam periods, but this tension is not unpleasant.
To be honest, it's painful to see a child being lured in by sweets to get in a good mood, but that's just how it is. I guess that's actually what we made such a fuss about.
Come to think of it, this was the first time we'd had such a big fight since the current second-year students moved into the dorms... I hope this is a rite of passage, and if we can get through it, we'll be able to build a new relationship.
Also, apart from the Mitsuru incident, Junpei seems to have been annoyed for some reason, but are you okay?
Well, I'm sure you're overwhelmed with your exams right now, so I hope you can calm down. ...I'm probably not the one to say this here, Junpei. I don't know what happened during the exams, but I think you should stop yelling things like "Kabara! Kabara! Yakushima!" on the main streets.
7/15 (Wed) - Reporter: Junpei Iori
Sanada-san, don't you know the expression "samurai compassion"? Well, I don't want to say it.
Well, the problem with the insurance in Edogawa was so confusing that I exploded with anger on the way home from school. As for my case, I can see the answer in my mind, so it's okay. Thank you.
7/16 (Thu) - Reporter: Fuuka Yamagishi
Good evening, this is Yamagishi.
Today was the third day of the exam. I was surprised to see that the history question that the teacher said "will be on the exam" during class actually came up. The teachers at Gekkoukan are surprisingly kind, aren't they?
The correct answer is that the reason the foreigners on the Black Ships were afraid of topknots was because they thought they would be attacked by guns.
This time, we had a fight with a large Shadow just before the exam, so Yukari, Junpei, and the leader didn't seem to be very prepared, and the second-years are struggling. But when they think about the ocean waiting for them after the exams, they feel a little better. Yakushima, huh... I bet the water is beautiful.
7/17 (Fri) - Reporter: Yukari Takeba
Uh, I'm Takeba. I just heard yesterday's report, and I thought the answer to that question was... a projectile, is that correct? Seriously? Wow, I should have listened to the lecture properly!
I chose the second one, "they thought it was a black fish cake." Because in the past, Westerners hated fish! Ugh, I failed!
Ugh, to be honest, I'm not that confident about today's physics lesson. I worked hard to memorize the formulas and laws, but I was wondering who discovered the principle behind contact lenses, which is a bit of trivia! I chose Da Vinci for now, but... God!
7/18 (Sat) - Reporter: Mitsuru Kirijo
This is Kirijo.
Finally, the final exams, which seemed long but were short, are over. I'll never forget the look of relief on everyone's faces when we returned to the dorms.
The day after tomorrow, our trip to Yakushima starts again, so I really wanted to go to Tartarus today, but I guess I wasn't in the mood for it. Well, I'll take my time to get ready.
Now, it's been a while since I last reported on the activities, but according to the Chairman, a boy named Ken Amada will be moving into the dorms during the summer vacation. He seems to have the potential for it, but... Apart from what Takeba pointed out the other day, it is not permitted to involve a boy from the elementary school in a fight. His Persona ability has not been confirmed, and even if he does have the ability and is willing to fight, it will be a while before he actually joins SEES.
Oh, and because of that, while Amada is in the dorms, no talk of shadows is allowed in front of him. Please be careful.
7/19 (Sun) - Reporter: Junpei Iori
Hiya! The southern islands are calling me! This is Junpei Iori!
Goodbye to the tense atmosphere we've had for a while! And hello to the new tropical sea breeze! Welcome to YAKUSHIMA!
Hello, is this Okinawa?
Wow, I've already finished preparing for my trip, and all that's left is to wait for the day to dawn! I know we're leaving early in the morning, but I can't sleep even at this time. Am I a child?
I just wandered around the dorms, and of course everyone was fast asleep. If the door was unlocked, I thought I'd sneakily check everyone's belongings, but as expected, the security was strong. Hmm, what a shame.
Even if I could check everyone's belongings, it wouldn't be much fun to look inside Sanada-san's or the leader's bags. Of course it's swimsuits!
Ah, I wonder what kind of swimsuits everyone is wearing.
Based on my image, first of all, Yukari-chan is wearing a swimsuit for competitive swimming or something sporty-looking? However, she doesn't seem all that excited this time, so I guess we can't expect anything sexy or anything like that. Well, I'm not expecting much.
7/22 (Wed) - Reporter: Akihiko Sanada
Fuuka... Hmm, that's difficult. A quiet girl like that can unexpectedly wear a shocking swimsuit. By the way, with a flat body type, a bikini might actually make her look more stylish, so let's hope a little. Kirijo-senpai! Of course it's a bikini! It can't be anything else! The color is black! Oh, and a queen-style one-piece with a plunging chest and back... wow, I can't decide!
7/20 (Mon) - Reporter: Mitsuru Kirijo
Ah, ah. ...Is it recording?
Okay. ...It's Kirijo.
Starting tonight, I'll be living on Yakushima. I probably won't be doing anything as part of the Specialized Extracurricular Execution Squad, but I brought some spare backup equipment just in case. I'll also record it as usual. Where should I start... Too many things happened at once today. I'm a bit confused too.
Yes, I was able to meet Father for the first time in a long time. I was relieved to see that he looks as healthy as ever. Everyone in SEES seemed surprised by Father's eyepatch, but that was Father's way of making amends. When dealing with bigwigs in the political and financial world, if he looks like that, he will be looked down upon as a "man who puts up a false front." He could have just gotten a prosthetic eye, but Father still doesn't take off the eyepatch so that he won't forget the accident.
By the way, Iori and the others were surprised by the maids too, but are they really that rare? Recently, Iori and the others have been featured on TV and in magazines, so I thought it was completely commonplace...
Anyway, at Iori's insistence, we headed to the beach as soon as we arrived. Hehe, Iori, I heard your report yesterday. Sorry about the bikini, but the color didn't live up to your expectations. It's true that there are always a lot of black clothes in the dorm, but that's because of my love of motorcycles. There are a lot of leather products, so naturally there's a lot of black. It's not that I particularly like black. Well, you'll have to make do with that swimsuit for the duration of this trip.
I guess there's no way I won't mention this. Father is amazing after all. It seems he knew everything I was doing. The truth about the experiment ten years ago that I didn't know, or rather, that I had avoided because I was afraid of finding out the truth. In fact, I had asked Yamagishi to try to break into Kirijo's mainframe, and he knew about that too.
Father...told me everything. Everything that happened ten years ago. And about the unexpected connection between Takeba and Kirijo...
I had no idea why Takeba was so passionate about the truth. Yukari's father, Eiichiro Takeba. He was the chief researcher at the time.
I'm sure she believed him... If the situation was reversed, I would do the same. I would believe in Father's innocence and seek out the truth. But what if that were to be betrayed...
No, there's no point in talking hypothetically. Only Takeba knows what's in Takeba's heart. I'm sure she wouldn't want me to sympathize with her so easily.
Takeba, believe me...I really didn't know about your father. ...What should I do? I don't have the words to say...
7/21 (Tue) - Reporter: Yukari Takeba
Hehe, I found the equipment.
Uh, it's Takeba.
...This has sound, right?
Geez, Kirijo-senpai, you're here to relax, so isn't it no good bringing something like this.
Uh (cough). I seem to be overthinking it, but I'm fine.
I mean, sorry about yesterday.
I didn't say it, but after talking with the leader who came to call me, I've made up my mind, too, yes!
Anyway, I still think I'll continue to believe. In that video, Dad himself said it was his fault, but if that's the only document left from back then, there's no way to prove that it's true, right?
So, I'll try to struggle a bit.
Also, either way, the situation won't change that we need to defeat the Shadows. I'll continue to fight as usual.
...I'm so embarrassed. I wonder if I should delete this report.
Oh, by the way, changing the subject, that Aigis girl? Robot? Isn't she amazing! I never imagined a robot that can summon Personas. This time she really is a "fighting force" in the literal sense. But why is she a girl? A girl who is a weapon seems a little cute, doesn't she?
Ah, is that voice Junpei? Seriously, there's no need to go out of your way to call him. That guy swims around all day, so why does he have so much energy? I guess I'll just have to go along with it. This was Takeba.
When did Mitsuru bring all this equipment? Well, I guess I'll use it too.
Well, tomorrow is finally the day we return to Iwatodai. Today, the last day, I think we were able to really relax.
For Takeba, she had to face the harsh reality and it wasn't really a vacation... But it seems like she's getting over it well. That's right... I won't say anything unnecessary. When we get back, let's get along as friends again. Once again, nice to meet you.
However, after all that, the biggest surprise was Aigis. As far as I know, that robot exceeds the most advanced technology today. And to think that it was made 10 years ago... Anyway, she's a new member of our team. Let's hope she does well.
Now it's time to settle the pick-up contest... Ah, no. That's not it. Forget it.
7/23 (Thu) - Reporter: Fuuka Yamagishi
This is Yamagishi now.
Welcome home everyone.
This is my first time living in a dormitory, but it already feels like home. Having a place to go back to, a place you want to return to... I'm a little happy.
Everyone is tired today, so we took a break from conquering Tartarus. I was tired too, but talking to Aigis kept me awake... and I ended up staying up late.
Aigis is really amazing. I'm a little good with machines, but I can't believe that this technology has not been known until now.
They say cutting-edge technology is created on the battlefield, but I can't help but think how difficult the battle against shadows was 10 years ago.
Ah, but Aigis herself seems more like a girl with a bit of a natural air about her than a weapon. How did you incorporate a mind into a robot? Mr. Ikutsuki also said that the core part is a black box and that he cannot touch it.
It's also strange that Aigis seems to know the leader. It means that he's having trouble recognizing someone who looks similar to him...
It's no good to take your friends' privacy so seriously, right? First of all, you have to think about how everyone and Aigis can get along.
Oh, that's right. Aigis's way of speaking is interesting, isn't it? It's not exactly military-like, but it's more like an honorific that she learned by mistake. When we swam together in Yakushima, she pointed at my swimsuit and said,
"I am concerned about the armor of that underwater weapon, but is it correct to understand that the emphasis is on maneuverability? If possible, I would like to try modifying it for underwater combat." This is the first time I've seen a robot that wants to wear a swimsuit.
Aigis, it's nice to meet you.
7/24 (Fri) - Reporter: Junpei Iori
Hi, Junpei here. What's up? You brought this report machine to Yakushima? That's fishy, Kirijo-senpai! If I'd known, I could have brought you Junpei Iori's swimsuit watching hour.
Well... well, I can't run away, so I'll tell you... today is the day of the test results.
7/25 (Sat) - Reporter: Yukari Takeba
Uh, this is Takeba.
As of today, we have a new member...or rather, he's not in SEES, he just lives in the same dorm, but a new member has arrived. As the Chairman said before, Amada-kun is moving into the dorm.
...I'm a little, no, I'm really worried, but I hope that Amada-kun won't get caught up in a fight or something like that.
The Chairman seems to be pretty matter-of-fact about it, and seems to be like, "If you can fight, let's have you participate."
I feel like I understand my senior a little bit, so I believe that she has no intention of involving Amada-kun. But even so, you still say "at this point," right? Oh, no, I'm not complaining, I know that you're in a position where you have to say that, and that's what you're saying because you yourself are thinking about it. As the head of SEES, you have to think about all the possibilities.
Yes, it’s just a possibility.
So, for now, please take this as my personal opinion as Yukari Takeba. I am against letting Amada fight. Unless Amada himself has a very good reason to fight, I am against it.
Please remember that.
7/26 (Sun) - Reporter: Junpei Iori
Hello, it's Junpei!
Hehehe, having a great summer!
But I'm always like this. I have an innocent heart that is happy to take a day off!
That's the image I want as a healthy high school boy! So, summer vacation starts today. Ah, the long and painful midterms, the long and painful final exams, the occasional but painful quizzes, the painful first semester, Wow! Well, anyway, summer vacation starts today. Let's have fun starting tomorrow!
…Huh. Well, I know it's stupid to make a fuss by myself, even if I say so myself.
However, I just couldn't help but make a fuss today...
Ai-chan did a simulation of what would happen if the number of Lost continued to increase, in other words, if we don't do our jobs properly... but the results were worse than I expected, and I'm feeling depressed.
It feels like a huge responsibility.
7/27 (Mon) - Reporter: Yukari Takeba
Uh, this is Takeba.
What's up, Junpei? You've given it some thought. Yes, that's right, it's a big responsibility. Well, keep that in mind and work hard. Just don't do stupid things.
8/3 (Mon) - Reporter: Yukari Takeba
Come to think of it, I didn't see the leader today, but he's doing intensive training for the sports club. He'll do his best, too. Maybe I should go to the archery club's voluntary training too...
7/28 (Tue) - Reporter: Aigis
Hello, this is Aigis.
I completely understand the system for this activity report. Mitsuru-san, there is no need to look at me with such a worried expression. Even though I look like this, I am good with machines. ...Would you be surprised if I was weak with machines? I don't know why you have such an impression, but in any case, it will be fine. I am completely safe.
However...though I understand the system, but what should I talk about?
Among the various things that happened that day, is there anything that you want to tell everyone or that you feel you need to teach them...?
Well, the one thing that I think needs to be reported in the sense that it is different from usual is the physiological changes that occurred in Sanada-san when he confronted Amada-san.
The pulse rate becomes unstable, there are changes in the secretion of adrenaline and other brain substances, and the parasympathetic nervous system seems to be somewhat inhibited...huh?
Even if you know that, is it better not to say anything?
Is that...consideration...?
Because the boundary conditions are unclear, I cannot reach a complete understanding, but I will try.
7/29 (Wed) - Reporter: Fuuka Yamagishi
Good evening, this is Yamagishi.
I'm a little tired today. Ah, but how can I put it, it's a pleasant tiredness?
Anyway, I'll give you a quick report on what happened tonight. A while after entering the Dark Hour, my Lucia picked up a Shadow's signal near Naganari Shrine. It was an irregular Shadow that appeared in places other than Tartarus, as I had heard. I asked Sanada-senpai to rush to the scene, and then we all rushed over to support him... Whew. I'm still excited. To my surprise, Koro-chan was there, and he activated his Persona ability and defeated the Shadow!
Koro-chan always guarded his master's place. That alone was impressive, but I never imagined he was a Persona User...
Oh, to continue. Koro-chan was pretty badly injured, but he's currently in the veterinary hospital, apparently resting. I was surprised to see so much blood, but I guess Kirijo-senpai's first aid was good. Anyway, Koro-chan is safe. ...That's a relief.
Oh, and there was one more thing that surprised me. Aigis can understand dog language! You said that it's a means of communication other than words...like gestures? Isn't that right? I'd like to ask her more about that next time.
7/30 (Thu) - Reporter: Akihiko Sanada
Yes, the full moon is coming up soon, but is everyone prepared? We only have one week left to prepare. We don't have much time, so let's get pumped. Is that okay?
By the way, Aigis said the day before yesterday...do you think I look different in front of Amada? Yes...maybe.
Junpei says that I'm more mature and cocky than him, and Amada himself doesn't seem to want to be treated like a child, but I think that I couldn't be more childlike.
His gaze is so straight and so pure that it hurts...I wonder if I'm qualified to return his gaze head-on.
Everyone is pure when they're children. But when it comes to our age, I somehow feel that we can't get by on pureness alone. But I'm not ready to live a cunning life either. I guess that half-heartedness makes him feel inferior to innocent children... Well, I would never say that I want to become an adult who is used to the dirty things that most people see. But... Aigis has a keen eye. Your consideration for human relationships may be greater than that of our leader or Junpei. Aigis, are you really a robot? There must be a small person inside you... right? That's even more frightening to imagine.
7/31 (Fri) - Reporter: Mitsuru Kirijo
It's Kirijo.
I've been busy with chores for a while, but I think this is the first time I've reported since Yakushima. Hehe... I'm being lazy, which is unbecoming of a club president.
I'm late in replying, but I understand Takeba's opinion about Amada. To be honest, I'm also against letting a child like that take part in the battle.
I myself have been on the front lines of the battle against shadows since I was a child. I just can't imagine that that contributed to my healthy development. I know I'm boasting, but I'd like to be praised for not becoming too distorted.
Now, as for the report, there's nothing in particular...Oh, that's right. The vet contacted me regularly and said that Koromaru is progressing well. It seems Yamagishi and the leader were worried about him. I'll just report it here.
It's almost time for the full moon. Everyone, make sure you're prepared.
8/1 (Sat) - Reporter: Junpei Iori
Hey, it's Junpei!
Only 5 more days until the full moon! I'm really fired up this time! I was watching Koromaru and I was moping around until the other day, which is pathetic. I can't lose, can I?
By the way, Leader, the actual game is tomorrow, right? I can't go to cheer you on, but do your best!
8/2 (Sun) - Reporter: Fuuka Yamagishi
Good evening, this is Yamagishi.
I have some good news for you today. The leader won a top prize in the National High School Myoo Cup, a tournament for sports clubs!
Even though it was summer vacation, it was worth it to train hard every day. Congratulations.
...That said, the person in question was still like, "I don't really care." Ah, but recently I've started to understand the subtle changes in his expression. Today he looked really happy.
I'm embarrassed to say this so formally, but I feel like the leader always helps me, from the first time he rescued me from Tartarus to when I fell into an enemy trap during last month's operation. It might be strange considering we're the same age, but I think the closest feeling we have is one of "respect."
I'd like to do my best to be of some help to him in the future. Junpei said he won't lose to Koro-chan, but I have to make sure I don't lose to everyone else either.
For now, I'm doing image training for the next battle. What to do if the enemy loses their presence, how to lead them if I detect multiple enemies at the same time, etc. If you have any opinions, please feel free to tell me.
Well, this is Takeba. Anyway, congratulations on winning, leader! You did a great job. The Myo-o Cup is a pretty high level, isn't it? If you keep going like this, I think you can make it to the national tournament. Will you be popular in the second semester? Ah, aside from that, I'd rather report something like this: "I happened to see this kind of person'' on TV, but I did see a strange person.
8/4 (Tue) - Reporter: Junpei Iori
He was at a takoyaki shop in Saitodai Shopping Arcade, stuffing takoyaki into his mouth with incredible force. He had an athletic look, and I'd say he could be considered good-looking, but his face as he devoured it... It's what's inside that counts. This was Takeba.
Hi...Junpei...it's hot.
It has been really hot since the afternoon, but the night was a tropical one just as expected! I wasn't expecting anything like that. I wish it would go against our expectations and snow!
Ugh, the heat is making my brain overheat, seriously.
