a.n.: y'all I was giggling so hard writing this part! I know the soccer part is random but I had to! enjoy the fluff of part 6 <3

~
Suddenly, being around your prince made you extremely nervous. It was a good nervous, though. Butterflies in your stomach and high-pitched laugher type nervous.
After all, you both just admitted you loved each other. And everytime you thought back on the memory - which was all the time - you turned into a smiling and giggling mess.
You had to stop yourself from skipping like a school girl as you made your way towards one of the balconies overlooking the gardens, where you had started meeting Gojo for the afternoon tea time he added to your schedule for every other day. It was a short hour you got to see him during the day, and it quickly became your favorite part of your week.
You peeked your head into the open door of the balcony, enjoying the sweet breeze passing over you. Gojo was there already, the picture of ease with a cup of tea to his lips and an ankle crossed over his knee.
“Are you just going to stand there looking beautiful or are you joining me?” he teased, beckoning you towards him with two fingers.
This man will be the death of me, you thought.
You smile shyly as you made you way to your prince, who stood up as you neared. He kept his warm, indulgent gaze on you as you closed the distance between you - stopping close enough where you had to tilt your head up to see his smile, and he had to tip his head down to see yours.
“Hi,” you said, feeling the stress of the week melting away as your prince gazed at you, his eyes alight with happiness and humor as he chuckled.
“Hey,” he answered back softly, gently pulling you into his arms. You sighed as you pressed your cheek against his chest, his head resting above yours as your arms met across his back. The smooth silk of his shirt felt cool against your skin, the scent of sandalwood kissing your nose.
“How are you today, my love?” he asked, rubbing his hand soothingly up and down your back, sending delightful chills down your spine.
“Much better now,” you said, squeezing yourself even tighter against him. The rich sound of his laughter brushed against your ear before he stepped away, pulling your chair out for you.
You slipped into the seat across from him, smiling as your prince placed a variety of sweets on your plate and poured you a cup of tea before you got the chance to ask.
“What are you up to this week?” you asked, reaching for the macaron he added to your plate.
“We’re hosting a charity soccer game in a few days. A couple other princes and nobility are going to form teams and play each other,” he said, a playful grin on his face.
“You can play soccer?” you asked incredulously.
“Baby, I can do anything,” he replied, winking at you as you laughed and rolled your eyes. His smile softened, as if making you laugh made him happy.
“Alright hotshot, I’m looking forward to seeing you play,” you said, nudging your foot against his under the table.
“You mean you look forward to seeing me win,” he corrected, a playful, determined glint in those eyes of his.
“I’ll have to see it to believe it. By the way, what number will be on your jersey?”
~
It felt slightly embarrassing walking onto the field with the number “10” painted on your cheeks and navy ribbons tied to your pigtails - a match to Gojo’s jersey number and team colors, of course. But felt relieved spotting similarly dressed friends and fiances of the other players as you settled among them. When you gazed out towards the field, you froze.
You’d seen Gojo in a lot of outfits. A button up and black slacks for his go-to outfit. A navy suit for official business. Plaid pajama bottoms with a grey crewneck for pajamas. But you’d never seen him sporting a soccer jersey and athletic shorts before.
You vaguely recalled recognizing other players on the field - Megumi and Yuji passed the ball to each other, Nanami completed stretches nearby them. But you couldn’t bring your focus away from your prince, especially not when the game began.
A whistle rang in your ear before men started dashing across the field, but Gojo was easy to spot. He had the ball immediately, his long legs eating up the distance between the middle of the field and his team’s goal. He was at least a head taller than everyone else there, but he moved with the ease and speed of a seasoned player, easily evading the advances of Megumi and Yuji.
Gojo made it in front of his opponent’s goal, kicking out one long leg as he launched the ball into the goal. He pumped his fist and jumped up in celebration, laughing and smiling as his teammates clapped him on the back. He squinted as he looked up towards the stands, scanning the cheering crowd until his eyes landed on you.
His smile dropped into a gape as he looked at you, eyes widening as his eyes perused up and down your body.
Oh no, did I overdo it? you thought to yourself. Your friend Nobara had reassured you your outfit was cute and spirited - one of Gojo’s extra jerseys you stole from his closet and an athletic skirt. But now you second guessed if you looked silly with the wide-eyed way Gojo was looking at you.
His lips began moving, but you couldn’t hear him with the distance and the roar of the crowd. You frowned and tilted your head, cupping your ear to signal to him that you couldn’t hear him. He shook his head, mouthing three words ever so slowly.
“You…are…adorable?” you repeated to yourself, immediately blushing and laughing as his words registered. He sent you a devastating smile and wink before he returned to his position on the field.
“Ahem, I saw that,” Nobara said, elbowing you as you both laughed.
The game went on, but you truly could not describe a single thing that happened. You were too absorbed with your prince - the way his silver hair grew windswept, the way his cheeks grew pink with the sun, the way he smiled and jumped everytime he scored a goal, the way he would lift his shirt up to wipe the sweat beading at his forehead, revealing smooth, marble-like skin that ran over defined muscles. You were focused, alright. Just not on the game.
By the time the game finished, Gojo strode over to you with boyish smile on his face. He looked so different from the cool and collected prince you knew him to be - sweat beading down his face, flushed cheeks, dirt and grass sprinkled across his skin. But his eyes were bright, his face practically glowing as he caught his breath. And you thought he couldn’t get any more handsome.
“So, do I get a reward for winning?” he asked, raising his brows expectantly at you. You smiled coyly at him, handing him a water bottle and a towel.
“That depends. What would you like?” you asked, taking a step in his space and fluttering your lashes at him. He took a deep pull from the water bottle, then raked his eyes up and down you appreciatively.
“Nevermind. Seeing you dressed like this was reward enough,” he said, staring at you so shamelessly and appreciatively that you had half a mind to tell him to put his stare away in public.
But hey, you knew what you were wearing to the next soccer game.
By the time you returned to your bedroom, ready to retire for the night, your prince was already sprawled on your bed. It was one of those rare days where he was there first, and you loved the sight of him waiting for you.
Gojo has his back propped up against a few pillows, his long legs stretched out above the comforter and crossed at the ankle. He had his head propped up by one arm, the other holding a book up to his face. There was something adorable about the focus he held as his eyes scanned the lines, his pearly lashes fanning down his cheeks as he read. He was wearing his golden glasses, his silver locks down over his eyes from his shower.
“How are you liking it so far?” you asked, a smile tugging on your lips as you shed your coat.
“This Feyre girl is kinda annoying. I ship Tamlin and Lucien,” he said, peeking up at you from your copy of A Court of Thorns and Roses he asked to borrow. You’d gotten into the series recently, telling him so much about it that he started getting curious.
“When is the faerie porn gonna start?” he asked, causing you to laugh and shake your head as you headed inside your bathroom.
“Soon. Keep reading!” you yelled over your shoulder, pausing to stare at your bathroom counter. Your skincare products had been neatly laid out in the perfect order of your routine, a pair of your sleepshorts and one of Gojo’s shirts neatly folded on the side. Your eyes grew glassy as you walked back into the room, gaping at your fiance.
“Did you lay all of that out for me?” you asked, seeing a warm smile settle across your fiance’s face.
“Yup. Anything to get you into bed with me faster,” he teased. It was like a switch flipped in him since you confessed to each other, his teasing was relentless.
You puffed your cheeks out, turning back to the bathroom in a huff.
The way he laid out your products and pajamas made your shower a much more pleasant experience - he even set aside one of the lavender shower steamers you loved so much. It was impossible to keep your mind off him throughout your entire shower, your mind wandering as you scrubbed your body wash over your skin, wondering what his bare touch would feel like.
By the time you were done, you were desperately trying to erase the sinful images you kept playing in your mind. You walked towards your bed without looking at Gojo, sitting on your side of the bed with your back facing him.
“Are you mad at me for teasing you so much?” he said softly, sliding two warm hands on your sides.
No, I just can’t look at you because I kept picturing you shirtless-
“No,” you said truthfully. His teases made you incredibly flustered and embarrassed, but never mad.
“You have been relentless lately though,” you said, throwing a small smile at him over your shoulder to show him you weren’t upset. He grinned back at you, easily lifting you into his lap so you laid sideways across him.
“I can’t help it. I love watching your different reactions too much,” he said, lightly tapping his finger against your nose. You sighed dramatically, sliding off his lap and settling beside him, stretching out your body as you laid down facing him.
Your prince wrapped an arm around you as you pressed yourself into him, and you happily closed your eyes as he dropped a kiss to your forehead.
“Have I told you how beautiful I think you are?” he asked easily, innocently, as if he was asking you about the weather.
You buried your face into his chest to hide your blush, your shy giggle muffled against his shirt.
“I don’t know how you can say that stuff with a straight face,” you said, his laugh puffing against your cheek.
“I must not be saying it enough if you still can’t look me in the eye when I compliment you. I’ll have to fix that immediately,” he said, gently lifting your face from his chest and leaning down to press a slow, sweet kiss to your lips.
You sighed blissfully, feeling a rich happiness washing over you. Gojo made you feel invincible, beautiful, powerful - but you wondered if you had done the same to him. It was about time to return the favor.
You rolled onto his chest, propping your head up with your palms as Gojo beamed down at you indulgently, his arms crossed behind his head.
“Have I told you that I think you are the most gorgeous man I have ever laid eyes on?” you asked. And for once, your prince who was so quick with his words, was speechless.
His eyes widened as he processed what you said, his gaze averting as a beautiful blush dusted across his skin. He was adorable.
You held back a laugh as you tilted your head to the side to catch his gaze, leaning up to press a quick peck to his lips.
“I could seriously stare at you all day. I think you have the prettiest eyes ever, I love your long lashes, I love your nose, I love the way you smell, I love the way you style your hai-”
Gojo leaned forward, burying his face into your shoulder and flipping so you were underneath him.
“Mercy, please. I’ll have a heart attack,” he said woefully, the skin at his ears and neck now flushed like you’d never seen before.
You laughed as you rubbed his back, the weight of him on top of you making it impossible for you to move. But you wouldn’t trade your spot for the world.
“I thought you would be used to compliments by now. Weren’t you voted hottest prince in the world for the past 6 years?” you teased, referencing a popular magazine brand that loved showcasing Gojo. You totally weren’t collecting them.
“From strangers yes. Not from the girl I’m in love with,” he mumbled, uncharacteristically shy.
You smiled so much your cheeks started to hurt.
“Ah, I’ll have to say them more often then,” you said, stroking your hand over his head, the silver strands tickling your hand. He let out a sigh, leaning into your touch.
The two of you lapsed into a comfortable silence, until you released a yawn so big it made your eyes water.
“Want me to turn off the lights?” he asked, chuckling as he lifted his head from your chest. You nodded, sending him a sleepy smile as he got up, shutting off all the lights - save for a tiny night light you insisted on. He made sure the door was closed before he joined you under your duvet.
He immediately opened up his arms, making space for you to settle your back against his chest as he wrapped his arms around you.
“Goodnight, Toru,” you said, using a nickname you rarely felt brave enough to try. You giggled as you heard him let out a small groan.

~
A soft rain pattered against the windows to Gojo’s bedroom, casting the grand space in a cool gloom that mirrored your own melancholy.
“Do you really have to go?” you asked quietly, wincing as soon as the words left your mouth. You meant to come off as playful, casual even. But you sounded more dejected than anything as you sat atop Gojo’s enormous four-poster bed, watching your prince pack away his clothes.
Though, by the way Gojo paused to shoot you a smile, he didn’t seem to mind.
“Please accept my sincerest apologies, princess. I tried getting out of it, but apparently I’m so important that ghosting them could cause a cold war or something. Stupid, isn’t it?” he said, the corned of his lips upturned.
You rolled your eyes as you chucked one of his pillows at his head, which he caught easily in a fit of laughter. You layed onto the bed in a huff, curling up towards the edge with your back facing the prince.
Am I the only one sad that he’s leaving? you thought, burying your face into the pillow you hugged to your chest. The familiar sweet scent of his shampoo was a welcome distraction from your inner turmoil.
Gojo would be leaving the palace tomorrow morning to embark on a two week-long trip to visit the neighboring countries. He would be meeting with fellow blue bloods, doing important work to strengthen relations before your wedding.
Rationally, you knew two weeks wasn’t a long time. But when you were used to ending your nights cuddled into his side, it felt like eternity. There was an unspoken agreement that Gojo would slip into your room at night, and no matter how late he finished his work, you’d be up waiting for him. He’d outstretch his arm, beckoning you towards him with a smile on his face no matter how tired he was.
Your jolted in surprise as Gojo crouched beside the side of the bed you were on, leveling your eyes with his. He tilted his head slightly as he looked at you, sending your heart into a fury with his proximity.
“Are you mad at me?” he asked softly, reaching out to brush a lock of hair behind your ear. It was a gesture he repeated often, but it nearly coaxed your heart out of your chest each time he did it.
“No,” you began, cheeks burning as you fiddled with the pillowcase. He watched you patiently, all traces of his earlier teasing mood gone.
“I’m just going to miss you.”
You watched as your favorite blue eyes softened before you. He shut his eyes, leaning forward until his face was buried in your side, the cool, delicate skin of his eyelids pressing against your arm.
“Maybe I don’t have to go after all,” he murmured.
You giggled as you slipped your hands into his hair, something you did for him often to help when he had heacaches. He sighed as he leaned into your touch.
“Just come with me,” he said.
Oh, how you wanted to. But your schedule didn’t allow it, since you were undergoing strict “crown princess training,” filling your days with historical and political lessons to match Gojo’s education.
“I tried getting out of it, but apparently I’m so important that skipping training could cause a domestic war. Stupid, right?” you said, reveling in the hearty laugh he released. You heard him mumble something along the lines of such as smartass before he turned his head to the side so that his face was mere inches away from yours.
“Will you pick a few outfits for me to pack? That way, when someone compliments me, which they undoubtedly will,” he said, throwing a quick wink your way, “I can say my princess picked it out for me,” he finished, the faintest dusting of pink decorating his cheeks.
You mirrored his smile, chewing on the inside of your cheek to mask just how giddy his words made you feel.
“Mm, it will cost you,” you said cheekily, loving the way his eyes danced with humor as he shook his head at you. His eyes always seemed the prettiest when he was looking at you.
“You’re a greedy little thing, aren’t you,” he said, laughing to himself as he disappearing into his closet.
“Good thing I came prepared,” he said, coming out with a stack of his hoodies. You threw your head back and laughed as he set them down beside you, raising his brows expectantly.
Gojo knew you loved wearing his hoodies. It wasn’t because you admitted how much you enjoyed the way his cologne clung to the fabric, making it feel like you were being held by him. You didn’t explain how you loved how casually intimate it was, wearing something of his. You weren’t sure what he thought, actually. Just that you must’ve loved them because of how often you asked to borrow one.
“Well? Do we have a deal, princess?” he said, making sure to drawl out his voice as he called you by his favorite nickname. The one that almost made you blush everytime you heard it, especially when he said it the way he just did.
Instead of responding, you slipped one of his oversized hoodies over your body, enjoying the indulgent look in his eye as he watched you.
~
Gojo leaving for his flight felt like a hazy memory, something that could’ve easily been a dream if you didn’t know better.
You vaguely remembered being awoken by the sound of shuffling and zippers. You lifted your head up, eyes heavy with sleep as you checked the spot beside you. The spot where Gojo usually occupied was empty, nearly sending you into a panic before you found him at the foot of the bed, the sound of a zipper reaching your ears. He turned to look at you, all dressed up in his formal attire. It had to be a crime to look so devastatingly good before the sun was even up.
“Sorry princess, I didn’t mean to wake you,” he whispered, casting you an apologetic look. You shook your head, too tired you verbally tell him you didn’t mind. It wasn’t his fault that your sleep was already fitful and light, like your body was rejecting a good night’s rest knowing Gojo was leaving.
Gojo padded over to you quietly, sitting on the edge of the bed closest to where you were laying.
Your prince reached out, stroking his hand across the back of your head. You closed your eyes as he cupped your cheek, swiping his thumb against the soft skin.
“Go back to sleep, love. I’ll be back soon.”
You could’ve sworn you felt something soft press against the top of your head before sleep took you, and you woke up to a cold, Gojo-less room.
~
The hallways seemed dimmer. Food tasted blander. The sky looked duller. Maybe you were imagining things, but you didn’t imagine the sadness that has been nagging you since your prince left. There was no way to prepare yourself for how everything seemed to take more time and effort knowing you couldn’t go to your room at the end of the day and crash into Gojo’s arms, where no stress seemed to exist.
He messaged you as soon as he landed, sending you pictures of himself holding up the sweets he was trying. But the messages lessened as his trip progressed, and the daily news report was eager to tell you why.
You found yourself tuning in to the chanel everyday, watching your prince walk across the screen and shaking hands with a new noble every day. He thrived under the media attention, shooting endless smiles and waves towards everyone itching to catch his gaze. But you knew Gojo, and you recognized the dullness in his eyes. He was definitely tired.
don’t forget to get some rest and eat properly! You texted, sighing. He still hadn’t responded to your texts from before asking if he had time to call.
he’s busy, he’s just busy, you reassured yourself. It was taking all of your mental strength not to worry about him, not to feel disheartened by his lack of contact. He didn’t owe you daily updates…did he? You weren’t married yet.
The impassioned voice of the news reporter ripped you from your thoughts.
“Prince Gojo was spotted sneaking away with another girl! Is a secret love affair going on?”
A sour feeling plagued your chest as an image flashed across the screen. It was an obvious paparazzi shot, taken from odd angles unbeknowst to the subject of the photos. But there was no doubt in your mind that it was Gojo in the photo - you’d recognize his tall frame and proud shoulders anywhere. But his arm was wrapped around the slender shoulders of a girl you didn’t recognize. All you could tell was that she must be someone important or rich or royal by the fabric of her dress, the shine of her hair.
You felt jealousing rearing its ugly head, burning through your body as a wave of nausea hit you.
Who is that girl?
Is he…seeing someone else?
But we’re fiances.
But he didn’t have a choice. He didn’t choose to get engaged to you.
But I thought we had something together?
But you never discussed it.
But he could have been in love with this other girl the whole time and you came between them and ruined it
But….but?
Your bottom lip trembled as you dropped your face into your hands, taking shaky, deep breaths in a failed attempt to stop the thoughts assaulting you.
Maybe you didn’t know Gojo as well as you thought you had.
~
It was really hard to ignore the palace staff, with the loud glances and whispers you’d been hearing. You weren’t sure if it was pity or concern, but it made you feel miniscule nonetheless. You went about your work with your head held high, meeting their stares with a smile that they quickly looked away from.
As soon as you were alone, your brave face would crumple. There wasn’t much you could bring yourself to do except wander the outskirts of the palace, where you found comfort in being hidden amongst the lush overgrowth. Hidden away from the heavy eyes of the palace, hidden from the tabloids speculating about your failed engagement, hidden from the texts Gojo sent you.
sorry princess, they’re working me to the bone
I’m free to call now if you are
I miss you
princess?
everything okay?
can we talk?
You plopped down at the base of a tree, sighing as you read over the texts you’d received but didn’t respond to for the past two days.
It’s okay, I know you’ve been busy. Don’t forget to eat okay? We can talk when you get back
As soon as you hit send, your phone began buzzing with an incoming call. Gojo’s contact picture popped up on the screen - a picture you took of him laughing and reaching towards the camera. It was your favorite photo of him you’ve ever taken, but right now looking at it filled you with dread.
sorry, I’m pretty busy. I probably won’t be able to talk for a while, you texted, feeling yourself flinch at the lie.
you’re a bad liar, princess
please talk to me
But you couldn’t. How could you talk to him when you were questioning if anything between you two was real, or if it was him just doing his duty? Sure, he treated you well. But he never admitted he had feelings for you. You could’ve been misreading him the entire time.
You knew what you were walking into with your arranged marriage. The most you could ask for was to get along with your fiance, some people were stuck with awful partners. Gojo was never obligated to love you, and it was never something you expected, so why were you hurting so much?
Because I’m in love with Gojo, you finally admitted to yourself.
You slowly sank down against the base of a tree, tipping your head up as the tears rolled down your cheeks. As you came to the realization, your scramble of emotions fought for their spot in the front of your mind. Relief at finally accepting your own feelings. Fear that your love was unrequited.
You sat there for a while, gathering your thoughts as the wind and leaves kept you company.
~
Once you arrived back at the palace, eyelids swollen and cheeks rosied from the cold, you were approached by one of Gojo’s retainers.
“Pardon me, your highness?” he called out, eyebrows burrowing as he took in your appearance.
“Are you alright?” You shot him a tight smile.
“I’m fine, thank you. Did you need something?” you said, hoping he wouldn’t keep you much longer. The older gentleman narrowed his eyes slightly, and you knew he didn’t believe you. But he didn’t press it.
“I have Prince Gojo on the line, he has been requesting to speak with you.”
Shit.
“Please tell him I’m unavailable,” you asked quietly, bracing yourself for the man to tell you he couldn’t do that.
But the older man looked at you once more, his face relaxing like he could see the exhaustion and stress lining your features.
“Of course, your highness,” he said, tipping his head kindly as you thanked him.
When you got to your room, a tray of your favorite tea and cookies sat on cart next to the door. You swore to give that man a raise when you had the power to.
~
You had one week until Gojo returned to the palace. One week to figure out how to talk to him again and how to address the photo of him with the mystery woman. One more week for you to chicken out and ignore his texts and calls.
The evening was nearing, and you found yourself once more on the palace outskirts. You leaned your head back against your favorite tree, stretching your legs out to get comfortable. Your eyes burned and your chest felt like lead, but at least you had a beautiful view.
Heaving a deep sigh, you closed your eyes and tried focusing on what you would hear, a grounding exercise you’d been taught recently.
unidentified birds chirping
water flowing
breeze shaking leaves
footsteps
Footsteps? Your eyes shot open. No one ever followed you out here.
“Princess.” a voice began. It was low, haunted even. And painfully familiar.
You turned as you saw Gojo standing before you, dressed to the nines in his navy suit he only wore for official business. His silver locks were disheveled, his face was pale, and he looked uncharacteristically serious. His sweeping gaze felt heavy as it ran over your entire body, as if he were checking you over for an injury.
You blinked up at him, waiting to see if he was an illusion that would disappear the next time you opened your eyes. But he didn’t. He was real, he was here.
“You’re back early,” you stated, offering a small, close-lipped smile. You couldn’t bear to look him in the eye, though.
The harsh sound of his bag hitting the ground surprised you. He reached up towards his neck, roughly loosening the tie you knew he hated wearing.
“I had a more pressing matter to attend to,” he said, and you flinched at the cold lacing his tone.
“Rushing through a trip like that could be bad for international relations,” you commented evenly, not addressing the second half of what he said.
“I could care less about international relations when my wife has been ignoring me for the past week,” he said sharply, running his hand through his hair.
“I’m not your wife,” you said softly, knowing it was a low-blow. He sucked in a breath, kneeling down to be at eye-level with you.
“You will be,” he said with confidence, as if there were nothing in the world that could challenge that. You still didn’t look at him.
He cupped your face gently with his hand, turning your gaze to finally look him into his eyes - where a storm of hurt, confusion, and exhaustion brewed. It was enough for traitorous tears to begin slipping down your cheeks. You shut your eyes as you wept silently, feeling the soft pads of Gojo’s thumbs brushing against the delicate skin beneath your eyes,
“What happened, love?” he said softly, hearing the desperation in his voice.
You took a deep breath, struggling to make out Gojo’s expression through your blurry vision.
“I saw the picture of you with your arm around that girl,” you whispered.
The hand on your cheek froze, and you braced yourself to see a flash of guilt over his expressions. But he continued to stare at you evenly, like he had nothing to hide.
“I know you didn’t have a choice in marrying me. But if I came between you and someone else you love, then I’m truly sorry. I’ll be fine if you w-”
“Okay princess, I’m going to stop you right there.”
“Her name is Utahime. We grew up together but there has been nothing between us ever. In fact, she can barely stand me most of the time,” he said, sweeping his eyes across yours.
“I needed a huge favor from her. We were walking outside and she slipped on something, so I caught her by the shoulder to steady her. If the paparazzi had a front angle, they would’ve seen her flicking my arm off and looking pissed that I helped her at all.”
It hurt your heart, the way his voice wavered as he spoke to you. You had never heard him sound so scared. He was worried you wouldn’t believe him.
“Please say something,” he begged softly, laying his cool hand atop yours.
“I believe you,” you said, flipping up your hand to grip his own. The furrow between his brows relaxed, the tightness in his jaw easing as he slumped down next to you, in what might’ve been the least princely manner you’d seen from him.
“Why didn’t you say anything?” you asked calmly, turning your head to look at him.
“You didn’t give me the chance. I was losing my mind trying to reach you, princess,” he said, his voice heavy as he gently slid the back of his fingers against your cheek, his hand traveling until his hand cupped the side of your face.
“I’m sorry. The rumors were affecting me more than I thought,” you began, pressing your lips together to steady yourself.
“All I could think about was how you are being forced to marry me. And I began wondering what you would do, who you would be with if you had a choice. How much happier you could be,” you said, the self-loathing thick in your voice as more tears slipped out.
He looked as if you had just struck him. He took a deep breath, a determined look coming over his features as he leaned into your space.
“You’re right that our engagement wasn’t my choice. But it was my choice to fall in love with you,” he said, lifting your palm to his lips.
You weren’t sure if there was a word for how you felt hearing those words. The relief, the joy, the disbelief that Prince Satoru Gojo was in love with you.
“You…love me?” you asked in a whisper, like the words were forbidden. A smile made its way across your lips as you spoke last few words. Gojo’s smile responded to yours - immediately softening his beautiful face.
“I am in love with you princess. I would choose you over and over again,” he said reverently, looking at you in that way of his that made you feel like the only person in the universe.
You launched yourself against him, wrapping your arms around his neck as he caught you with a surprised grunt. His big hands coming up to stroke your back, his arms around you pulling you in close against his chest.
You pulled back slightly, until your foreheads were nearly touching.
“I’m in love with you too, my prince.”
The breath left your lungs as the most gorgeous smile you’d ever seen stretched wide across his features, lighting up his eyes and brightening his face.
“You love me?” he asked, his arms around your waist tightening you even closer to him.
“I love you,” you said again, giggling at the pure, childlike happiness emanating from his face.
Suddenly, you were up in the air as your prince lifted you up and swung you in a circle, like the ending credits of a Disney movie.
The two of you laughed and spun until you were both out of breath, Gojo settling back down against the tree with you on his lap once more.
“You make me happier than I ever thought I could be,” he said, sending the blush straight to your cheeks. But instead of looking away in embarrassment, you shifted closer.
“You took the words right out of my mouth. You are more than anything I’ve ever dreamed of,” you said, leaning up to press your lips against the smooth skin of his cheek.
A beautiful pink dusted across his skin, but that brilliant smile remained on his lips.
“So, can I finally kiss you then?” you asked.
You bit back a laugh at the pure shock on his face - the way his eyes widened, pupils dilated, jaw slackened, like that was the last thing he ever expected you to ask him at this very moment.
“Fuck,” you heard him mutter under his breath.
“My prince?”
“Kiss me, princess,” he said, his voice heady as he spoke.
You smiled as you leaned forward, gingerly pressing your lips to his.
One soft peck to test the waters, the faintest brush of your lips. Then another one - your lips lingered longer, long enough to feel the press of his soft, full lips that chased yours when you pulled back.
You stared into his eyes for a moment, his eyes that looked glazed over and nearly black as he watched you with fevered intensity that must have mirrored your own. You leaned forward once more, tilting your head as you slanted your lips against his.
He groaned softly as he met each press of your lips, one hand cupping around your jaw to pull you even closer to him, the other hand sliding up the hem of your shirt.
“You are so,” he began, speaking in between kisses.
“Soft,”
“and warm,”
“and sweet,” he rasped, sending a shiver of pleasure down your spine as he lightly tugged your bottom lip between his teeth.
You broke away from the kiss for a second, your heaving chest a match to his.
“I love the way you taste,” you said, and it was true. His lips were sweet, and he tasted like the mints he always had.
But your words must’ve struck something in him, as those cerulean eyes nearly rolled to the back of his head as he tugged you to him with renewed fervor, kissing you like he would die if he stopped.
By the time you two finished, walking back into the palace well past sunset, the servants took one look at your linked hands and bruised lips and filled the halls with whispers and giggles.

summary: you finally got hired to work as a teacher for your dream school, jujutsu high. everything was perfect until you ran into gojo satoru, your first love and heartbreak.
a/n: angst + fluff, female reader. this is the first time I've written a story more on the angsty side, so please let me know if you like it : ) I was feeling angsty after listening to eternal sunshine and bam this story suddenly came to me
tags: @kenqki @sad-darksoul
~
When you caught a glance at that familiar shade of blue, you froze. That specific hue was a color you avoided at all costs, the color of heartbreak and dreams you never followed.
He looked at you, and suddenly you were 18 again. It was simultaneously the best and worse year of your life; the year you fell in love with Satoru, and the year he left you.
Your heartbeat felt sickening in your own chest as he walked towards you, his eyes widened and jaw slacked as if he were in a trance. Like he hadn’t expected to see you again.
It’s not like you thought you’d see him again either. You had told yourself that even if you did, it wouldn’t hurt, because you’d moved on. It had been years since you gave up on him, so you should be feeling nothing as your first love came to a halt in front of you, gazing at you as if you were the only thing that mattered to him.
It didn’t feel like nothing, though. It felt a whole like despair, relief, and joy warring with each other, causing your fingertips to tremble as if your body couldn’t decide which emotion to settle on.
“Long time no see, Gojo,” you said, attempting to offer a warm smile. Though the tremulous note to your voice must have betrayed how you were truly feeling.
He frowned ever so slightly when you said his name, like he wasn’t used to you calling him by his last name. It was formal and cold - when things between you two used to be anything but.
“You’re here,” he said, though it sounded like he was saying it to himself rather than talking to you.
“Ah, Gojo. I see you’ve met our newest hire. She’ll be working with your students for the summer, I imagine you two will be working together closely,” the principal said. But Gojo wasn’t looking at him. You still felt the heavy weight of his gaze, like he was scared you’d disappear if he looked away.
“Why don’t you two grab lunch together? Gojo can catch you up on his students,” the principal said. So why did your body go rigid at his harmless suggestion?
“Sorry, I have to make a phone call during lunch! Gojo, feel free to email me any details I need to know,” you said quickly, smiling before you darted towards the courtyard.
You cursed yourself for running away, like a coward. What was there to be afraid of? He was someone you loved years ago, and time washed away any lingering feelings you had for him…right?
At least that’s what you’d always told yourself. But maybe deep down, you feared some of those feelings would never go away. And that they’d definitely resurface if you let yourself be near him, if you let yourself remember how much he used to mean to you. How badly he hurt you.
You shook your head, hoping the crisp morning air would wash some sense into you. This position was your dream job, and you weren’t gonna let your past demons take that away from you. You could be civil, you could work with him like the mature adult you were. It would be okay.
~
“I wonder if our new teach would tell me where she gets her lipgloss?” Nobara asked aloud, walking in step with Yuji and Megumi as they filed out of the classroom.
“She’s really pretty,” Yuji said, smiling cheesily. It was a buzz amongst all the students actually, how beautiful the newest teacher was. The students warmed up to her quickly, captivated by her knowledge and how easy she was to talk to.
“Gojo always looks like he’s in a trance whenever he sees her,” Megumi said, making his two companions snap their attention to him.
“Do you think they’re dating?!” Nobara nearly yelled, her eyes widening comically.
“Maybe not. They both look kinda sad when they look at each other and they think the other person isn’t looking,” Megumi noted, looking deep in thought.
“Woah, you’re so observant. Maybe they’re exes, I heard they knew each other when they were younger,” Yuji said.
“Eh? No way sensei could pull someone like her,” Nobara said.
~
Two weeks have passed since you began teaching, and you loved it. Plus, you’d managed to have as minimal contact with Gojo as possible. Things would be fine after all.
You stepped into the teacher’s lounge, eager to grab your bag and head back home now that the day was over. But your bag wasn’t on the hook where you usually hung it up. When you turned around however, Gojo was leaning against the doorframe, taking up nearly the entire frame.
“Can I help you with something, Gojo?” you asked politely, willing your heart to settle down at his proximity.
“Can we talk?” he asked, and there it was again. The inexplicable feeling that swarmed your senses whenever you heard the sound of his voice, no matter what he was saying. Your traitorous body responded to it no matter how much you told it not to.
“Um, tomorrow might be better during our free period! I’m actually looking for my…” you began, stopping your sentence as Gojo used two fingers to effortlessly lift your heavy bag.
“I’ll give this back to you when you agree to have dinner with me. Tonight,” he said, flashing a boyish smile at you that was oh so painfully familiar.
“You can’t be serious,” you said, crossing your arms as Gojo took another step towards you. He was so close, and much taller than you remembered. He seemed to take up the entirety of the room you were in, making it harder to breathe and think clearly.
“I thought you knew me better than that, tea. I absolutely am,” he drawled, and the butterflies in your stomach swarmed at the mention of his old nickname for you. Hearing it used to fill you with love and light, because he began calling you the endearment after learning how much you adored tea. He’d often show up at your door with your favorite drinks, happily indulging in your obsession.
You blinked the memory away, refocusing your gaze back to the man in front of you.
“This isn’t funny,” you said, reaching towards your bag. He lifted it up and out of your reach easily.
“What isn’t funny is how you’ve been avoiding me since you got here. Why can you barely look me in the eye?” he said, the slight hurt in his voice hitting your heart. Your eyes darted around the room in a panic before you answered.
“Can you really blame me? We don’t have the best history,” you said, your voice coming off harsher than you intended.
“That’s what I want to clear up. Just hear me out this once, please,” he said, his tone softening as he spoke. You hated it, how quickly you could feel yourself giving into him. After a beat of silence, you spoke.
“Just this once,” you murmured, your voice barely above a whisper.
There it was. That familiar, triumphant upturn of his lips.
~
You second guessed your choice as you walked towards Gojo’s car - a sleek, navy luxury car you remember he’d gotten for his 18th birthday. But there was no way he didn’t have other cars by now, so you couldn’t help but wonder if he picked this car today on purpose.
He swiftly opened the door to the passenger seat, allowing you to slip in before he slid into the drivers seat.
There was something undeniably intimate about being alone in the car with him. Being in such close quarters meant you could smell the cologne clinging to his skin, the minty remnants of the mints he always carried with him. You felt bespelled watching his long fingers wrap around the wheel, blushing as he wrapped his arm around your headrest and leaned towards you to look behind him as he backed out of the spot.
A memory flooded towards you. Of a freshly 18-year old Gojo excitedly picking you up in his shiny new car, nearly getting you into a car crash as he carelessly spun the wheel in his excitement. You’d given him a firm talking to about him being careful, and he smiled at you sheepishly before he walked you to get ice cream.
The sound of buttons clicking pulled you from your reverie. You watched wordlessly as Gojo set the seat warmer to the lowest setting and turned the ac up to 71, the exact settings you used to switch them to whenever you were his passenger princess.
“Is that still how you like it?” he asked, casting you a quick sideways glance before returning his eyes to the road. You wondered if you imagined the hopeful note to his voice.
“Yes,” you answered quietly.
Oh , I definitely still like it, you thought, eyes roaming across Gojo’s figure as he drove. His seat was leaned back to make room for his long legs, and he kept one hand on the wheel as he drove with the elegant ease he must’ve developed in your time apart. It was stupid, how attracted you still were to him.
You didn’t miss the way Gojo glanced at you ogling him, the corner of his lip tipping up like it so pleased him.
~
You followed Gojo into a gorgeous restaurant that you were undoubtedly underdressed for. A smartly dressed man greeted the two of you immediately, leading you to a table right in front of the floor-to-ceiling windows. It offered you a gorgeous view of the skyline, the soft glow of the sunset making the silverware sparkle.
You couldn’t help but look around in confusion at the quietness of the restaurant - save for the nice host, you were the only ones there.
“I booked out the place for the night. So we could catch up in peace,” Gojo said easily, as if that were something normal to do. You couldn’t say you were too surprised though, as he had the same penchant for spending and the fortune to back it since he was younger.
“Of course you did,” you said, shaking your head as you smiled to yourself.
Gojo leaned forward in his seat, studying you like you just performed magic.
“I’ve missed that smile of yours,” he said softly. It wasn’t fair, the way the last bits of sunshine of the day lit up the gold  flecks in his eyes. The way his hair nearly shone silver, making him look otherworldly as he told you he missed you.
“I don’t know what to say to you, Gojo,” you said, forcing neutrality into your tone. But as soon as you spoke the words, you could hear how sad they sounded.
“Do you hate me?” he asked, sounding like his younger self once more.
You met his eyes, releasing a deep breath as you did your best to offer a smile.
“I don’t think I could ever hate you,” you admitted, watching the way his shoulders eased ever so slightly.
“But you hurt me,” you said, voice barely above a whisper.
“I was ready to stick out long distance when you moved away. You stopped answering my calls, responding to my letters. I tried reaching you for months before I gave up, Gojo. There was no goodbye, no explanation. What was I supposed to think? How do you expect me to greet you with a smile now as if nothing happened?” you said, your voice cracking towards the end.
“I know we were 18 and stupid, but I…”
I loved you. You were everything to me. And no matter how much time had past, how much you dated around, no one ever compared to you.
You shook your head, unable to get the words out.
It would forever be fresh in your mind, the day you found out Gojo was being shipped off to a different country by his stupid family to train.
The devastation was overwhelming. You curled up in your room, crying into your pillow as Gojo sat silently on the edge of your bed.
“Do you really have to go?” you sniffed, though it didn’t sound like that, with your throat clogged with tears.
Gojo laid beside you, pulling your back to his chest as he held you and buried his face in your hair.
“I don’t have a choice, tea. I’m sorry. I’m so sorry,” he whispered, his voice breaking off at the end. You turned around, wrapping your arms around him as he held you brusingly tight. You rubbed his back as you felt his tears hit your shoulder.
After the cry you both needed, you faced each other silently, as if you were committing each other to memory.
“I won’t give up on us. I’ll call you everyday to bug the hell out of you,” he said, giving you the first lopsided smile of the night.
“For how long, though?” you said sadly, feeling the hope leeching out of you with each word you said aloud.
“For as long as it takes for me to become the strongest. And for you to become the teacher you’ve always wanted to be. I’ll come back for you,” he promised, lacing his long fingers through yours. There was hope alight in those eyes of his, convincing your own hope to stay.
“You promise?” you asked, sounding so much more like a young child than you wished.
“I promise.” he said, and you kissed him then. There was something so magnetic about him, the type of person that made you want to believe anything was possible. But you hadn’t known that would be the last time you kissed.
You had no way of knowing that your boyfriend would keep up with his promise for a month, and then suddenly leave you with nothing. He stopped responding to your letters, stopped his calls, stopped reminding you how much he loved you. The only time you ever heard about him was when the news featured his growing talents.
The sound of Gojo’s voice ripped you away from the memory.
“You have every right to be upset with me,” he began, his cerulean eyes betraying his grief.
“Was there someone else?” you asked before you could think better, cursing yourself.
“No,” he said forcefully, wincing like it hurt him for you to think that.
“There was never anyone else. Never,” he said, and you couldn’t help the relief flooding your chest.
“They got in my head about you. Convinced me that I was holding you back, that you could never focus on school enough to become a teacher good enough to teach at Jujutsu High if you were in a long distance relationship with me. I thought I was doing what was best for you,” he said, his voice low and regretful as he spoke.
The man across from you blurred as tears filled your vision. You spent months agonizing over the possible reasons he would abandon your relationship, and your young, heartbroken self was convinced it had something to do with you. That he found someone, and suddenly you weren't his cup of tea anymore. Never did it cross your mind that he thought he was doing you a favor by ghosting you.
“God, Gojo. Why didn’t you just talk to me?” you cried, doing nothing to mask the grief in your voice.
“I knew you’d tell me that it was incredibly stupid of me. And I know it was now, but back then I thought it would be easier if I made the choice for you. You deserved to have your full focus on pursuing teaching,” he said solemnly, lifting a hand towards your face as if he were going to wipe your tears, but laying his hand back down like he thought against it.
“You’re right, that was incredibly stupid of you,” you said, heaving a deep breath as your swiped the last of your tears.
“But I get why you did it. I just wish you would’ve included me in that choice, because you know what I thought? I thought if you could discard me, discard us that easily, that I must’ve not meant as much to you as you meant to me. That you didn’t love me as much as I loved you,” you said shakily, a single traitorous tear falling down your cheek.
Your emotions overwhelmed you as you saw his eyes begin to shine with unshed tears - a sight that hurt you as much as it did when you were both 18.
“I never stopped loving you,” he said, his voice hushed as he made the confession.
It felt like you were no longer in your own body as emotions assaulted you all at once. Happiness, relief, confusion, devastation. They warred with each other, and you didn’t know if the burst of nerves you were feeling was panic or excitement.
“You don’t mean that. Maybe you still love who I was when I was 18, but things are different now. I’m different,” you said, watching as Gojo shook his head softly.
“You’re right. You have become even more beautiful than I remember,” he began, and you knew you had lost. This wasn’t a game, but somehow you still lost.
“I’ve seen the way you work with the kids. I’m in awe of how confident and capable you’ve become. But I’ve also seen what hasn’t changed,” he said, leaning towards you with the light back in his eyes.
“Your tenacity. Your kindness. Your intelligence. Your drive. The way your eyes light up when you teach, the way you see the best in people. That’s how I fell in love with you, and I know thats still there,” he said, looking at you with the kind of reverence you forgot existed.
You closed your eyes as you failed at calming your thunderous heart.
“I can’t do this, Gojo. I can’t put myself in a position to be hurt by you again,” you said, casting your eyes down in your lap. You couldn’t bear to see defeat in his eyes.
You jolted as you felt the soothing, painfully familiar touch of his hand over yours.
“Look at me,” he pleaded softly, coaxing your eyes back towards his. When you met them again, they were filled with warmth, and you believed it. That he still loved you.
“You don’t owe me anything. I’ll stay out of your way if that’s what you want. But I’m not taking back what I said. I’ve loved you since before you were mine. And I always will.” He finished you off by lifting your hand to his lips, a gesture you were still a used to be a sucker for.
~
In the days that followed, Gojo consumed your every thought. It didn’t help that you worked so closely, and it especially didn’t help to see how good he was with the students. He goofed around with them more than a normal teacher would, but he taught them earnestly. No matter how much they complained about his antics, you could tell your students loved him.
It also didn’t help when he began leaving your favorite milk tea on your desk before the start of every school day, earning you a “wow teach, you must really love that tea shop,” comment from Yuji.
It was slightly embarrassing, but you couldn’t deny how much it brightened your day to see that cup of tea sitting on your desk, knowing how much Gojo still thought of you. And it didn’t stop at tea.
Over the course of the next month, your favorite flowers began showing up with your tea. Sometimes, instead of flowers it was your favorite candy. Gojo never lingered around to hand them to you himself, just giving you sweet smiles and waves whenever you locked eyes. You knew it was his way of giving you space to choose, and no matter how cheesy it was, it was working.
~
It was about 3 months after that dinner that you found yourself sitting with the principal for your quarterly one-on-one. You were pleased to hear the praises of your work and the positive feedback he’d received from students regarding you, but something in particular he said had you shaken up.
“I knew you and Gojo would work well together. You both had very moving reasons for wanting to teach here,” he said casually.
“Moving reasons?” you pressed, feeling like you were on the verge of something.
“Oh, yes. I was highly impressed by your years of dedication and experience, you were an obvious choice. But Gojo didn’t have much teaching experience when I hired him, it was really his reason for teaching that sold me on him,” he answered. And you didn’t know why, but your pulse grew uncomfortably quick.
“He told me that teaching helped him feel close to someone he loved. And that person taught him how powerful a good teacher could be,” the principal said. There was a beat of silence, followed by the screeching sound your chair made and you sat up suddenly. You apologized and excused yourself, rushing towards a certain office door.
Your movements were too quick for your thoughts to catch up. You just knew you had to see him.
He wasn’t in his office. Not in his classroom, not in the teacher’s lounge. That sickening panic began invading your senses, reminding you that it wasn’t the first time you desperately searched for Gojo and couldn’t find him.
But you pushed past it and kept walking. You walked until you reached the outer edge of campus, spotting a flash of silver hair atop a hill that overlooked the school.
You ran towards it like your life depended on it, huffing and puffing until you finally locked gazes with the most beautiful eyes you have ever seen. Though the eyes that normally regarded you with warmth were unusually widened with concern as Gojo ran towards you.
“Hey, whats going on-”
“Why did you become a teacher?” you said, struggling to catch your breath. Gojo looked stunned for a second, staring at you silently as he waited for you to continue.
“Why did you decide to work for Jujutsu High, out of all the high schools in Japan?” you continued, watching as his expression turned pensive. But his eyes shone with all the words he’d yet to say.
“I didn’t intend on becoming a teacher. I just gave it a shot one day, because I knew how passionate you were about it. And I loved it,” he said, staring out wistfully towards the lecture halls.
“As for why I picked Jujutsu High,” he began, turning his body towards you again. He walked to you, stopping until there was barely a step of space between your bodies.
“I picked it because I knew this was your dream school to work at. I hoped I would see you again if I worked here,” he admitted, smiling sadly. You shook your head in disbelief.
“This was my dream school when I was 18. What if I changed my mind and worked somewhere else? What if I didn’t even become a teacher?” you said frantically, searching for a crack in his resolve.
Gojo reached out, cupping your cheek in his hand. You had no choice but to tilt your head up to meet his, feeling new emotions flooding you at the look in his eyes.
“Doesn’t matter. The thought of seeing you again is what has kept me going all these years. Even if I mean nothing to you now,” he breathed, removing his hand from your cheek. He stepped away from you, giving you the space you realized you no longer wanted.
You didn’t know if you wanted to laugh or cry at this new revelation. But you did know one thing; you wanted Gojo Satoru. You wanted another shot with him.
Before you could talk yourself out of it, you launched yourself at him, wrapping your arms around him tightly and burying your face into his chest. He smelled like mint and summer and everything good with the world as his arms immediately came up to hold you to him.
He released a shaky breath as he held you, like he couldn’t believe he’d get to do it again.
“Of course you still mean something to me,” you whispered through tears you didn’t realize you were shedding. Gojo gently pulled back from your hug, capturing both your face between his hands. He swiped his thumbs gently against your tears, that reverent, warm gaze back in those eyes of his.
“What should I make of that, tea?” he asked, tucking an errant strand of hair behind your ear. You realized how much you missed his touch, how you’ve longed to feel his smooth, porcelain skin against yours again.
“You’re gonna have to work reallyyyy hard if you want me to fall in love with you again,” you said, smiling as his eyes widened and his jaw slacked.
Liar. It wouldn’t take much at all.
“You’re giving me another chance?” he said incredulously. You nodded shyly, smiling as Gojo awarded you with the most brilliant, heart-stopping smile. The kind that crinkled his eyes at the corners, the kind that stretched his cheeks, the kind that you had no choice but to mirror.
The breath left your body as Gojo lifted you up by your hips, swinging you around in a circle like the last scene of a Disney movie where the prince and princess reunited.
It felt like a weight was released from your shoulders as he spun you around, the two of you laughing like teenagers again.
“Thank you,” he whispered, pressing a soft kiss to the top of your head.
~
“They have to be dating, there’s no way they’re not!” Nobara exclaimed, walking to get food with the other first years after class.
“Gojo sensei follows her around like a puppy. I could actually see hearts in his eyes when he looks at her! I swore I even heard her call him Toru,” Yuji said, him and Nobara nodding to each other intently.
“Maybe. Our new teacher has been looking really happy lately,” Megumi said.

acting on every urge to annoy the fuck out of your boyfriend, satoru gojo
a/n: fluff, female reader, slightly suggestive scenes
tags: @kenqki @sad-darksoul
~
Gojo Satoru had an annoyingly nice ass - rounded, perky, enough to fill out all tight-fitting pants he liked to wear. And the perk about being his girlfriend was that you got to admire it all the time, which was exactly what you were doing. Gojo had his back to you as he sauted something on the stove for the dinner he was preparing for the two of you, blissfully unaware of the intrusive thoughts brewing in your head.
He somehow had a 6th sense for whenever you were about to smack his ass, always catching your hand right before it made contact. But you were feeling lucky today.
You launched up from your spot on the couch, running at him full speed as you wound your hand up and smacked it against his ass with more force than what you intended on using. Gojo jerked forward, grunting as the spatula that was in his hand fell to the floor. He snapped his head around to look at you with wide eyes and his jaw dropped in disbelief - but you were too busy laughing your ass off.
“Woman where the hell did that gorilla strength come from,” he said begrudgingly, rubbing his ass with both palms.
“Sorry,” you said, catching your breath in between laughs. “You’re just standing there all caked up, I couldn’t help myself.”
He rolled his eyes and shook his head, laughing along with you.
“When I pay you back though,” he began, stalking towards you. It happened so quickly, the way he bent you over so your hands were braced against the kitchen counter, your ass flush against his front.
“It’ll be in this position,” he said, giving your ass a squeeze before he released you like nothing happened, resuming his cooking.
~
Another blissful benefit of being Gojo’s girlfriend was that he liked to sleep in just his boxers. It was your nightly routine to cuddle up against his bare chest, pressing your cheek against his smooth skin and reveling in his sweet post-shower scent.
You trailed your nose along the skin of his collar like you usually did, squeezing against him as close as possible. He stroked your back absentmindedly as he scrolled through his phone, until the urge to bite him suddenly overtook you. You placed a light kiss over his shoulder before sinking your teeth into him.
Gojo let out a dramatic series of “ow, ow, OW”s as he backed away from you, sliding far into his side of the bed.
“The hell was that for?” he said, brows adorably furrowed in confusion at the grin on your face.
“Just for being cute and smelling so good,” you said, scooching closer to him again. He smiled at the compliment, but his brows remained scrunched up.
“Last time I checked you liked how cute and sexy smelling I was, so why are you punishing me for it,” he asked, so close to the edge of the bed that he’d fall off if he moved any further from you.
“It’s cute aggression. Think of it as love bites,” you said sweetly, wrapping your arms around his neck and your legs around his hips, trapping him.
“Should I be turned on or scared?” he joked, raising a perfect brow at you. You laughed as you smacked his shoulder.
“Neither. You should be honored. Think of each bite as me saying I love you,” you said, unable to keep a straight face.
Gojo easily freed himself of your grip, flipping so he was laying on top of you with the full weight of his body over yours the way you liked it.
“Kinky. But alright, if thats how you want to be loved then,” he said, before he bent his head down, nipping every inch of exposed skin he could access.
~
You had terrible blood circulation, resulting in a chronic state of frozen fingertips and toes. It was especially worse during the winter - and unfortunately for Gojo, it was an especially cold day.
You unlocked the door to your home, heart warming at the sight of Gojo cozied up in one of your favorite outfits of his: grey sweatpants and a fitted black longsleeve. He looked up from the game he was playing to welcome you home with a smile, beckoning you towards with him with outstretched arms.
You stripped off your outerlayers in record time, practically jumping into his warm embrace. You couldn’t help yourself as you slid your frigid fingers into his shirt, warming your hands against his abs. He hissed as soon as your hands made contact with his skin, tensing up while you sighed in relief at his warmth.
“Ah, so nice and warm,” you said airily, the feeling returning to your fingertips. Gojo mock-glared at you, but made no move to remove your hands.
“You just wanted an excuse to feel my abs huh,” he teased, flexing himself under your fingertips. You rolled your eyes as you laughed, removing your hands from under his shirt.
He reached out towards you, tugging you into his lap as he wrapped both of you in a blanket.
“If your hands are still cold I have something big and warm you can ho-” he began, but he froze as soon as you pressed your frigid toes against the warm skin of his calves.

Gojo POV
12:04 am
I was exhausted.
Weary to my bones after all the meetings and speeches and royal bullshit I had to deal with as crown prince. I rubbed my temple as I strode towards my destination, not knowing what I was gonna do or say. I just knew that I needed to see her, even just for a second.
It bewildered me how I could live so many years of my life just fine before she came into my life, and now I suddenly can’t stand a week without her. She pops into my head when I’m supposed to be focusing - in the middle of an audience, during a meeting, while I’m working - then suddenly all I can think of is her smile.
I released a sigh of relief once I saw the light still on in her room. She was still awake, even if she should be asleep by now.
I shook my nerves off as I knocked on her door softly. The one line we’ve yet to cross is visiting each other’s bedrooms. She’s practically moved into my study, and I’ve grown so used to seeing her on my sofa immersed in her work or buried in a book that I struggle to focus when she’s not around. But coming to her bedroom is something I hadn’t dared until now.
“Yes?” she answered quietly. I’d give over my entire kingdom just to listen to her voice.
“It’s me,” I said, lingering by the front of her door.
“My prince? Come in,” she said, sounding alarmed. My sweet girl, always concerned about me. I didn’t know what it truly felt like to be taken care of until I met her. How happy it made me feel that she remembered my favorite desserts. How safe it made me feel when she never pushed me to share what I wasn’t comfortable with. How vulnerable and relieved it made me feel whenever she could see how I was feeling before I even know what I was feeling.
I carefully stepped inside, admiring how cozy she made the room feel. The fireplace lit up her space with a soft glow, and she had a book face-down on her comforter. I wanted nothing more than to crawl into bed with her, but we weren’t there. Not yet.
The tension on my shoulders eased as the ache in my chest grew when I saw her. She sat on the edge of her bed wearing the crewneck I loaned her yesterday, with a pair of dangerously short sleep shorts.
For once, I felt a loss of words as I wondered how someone could be so adorable and so sexy at the same time. Thinking about her wrapped up in my crewneck did things to me that I wasn’t sure I should ever voice aloud.
“You okay?” she asked, concerned etched into her beautiful features as she walked over to me.
Lord, was she beautiful.
I’ve spent hours wondering how eyes could sparkle like hers. How her lips could look so soft and shiny. How someone could smell so sweet, like strawberries and jasmine and everything good in the world.
“Satoru?” she repeated, and I wondered how long I’d been staring. If I didn’t feel like shit, I’d be celebrating how good it felt for her to call me by my name.
“I just wanted to see you,” I admitted, watching as her eyes softened and she gave me a shy smile. I felt like the richest man in the world when she looked at me like that.
“Bad day?” she asked. I knew she would accept whatever answer I gave her. She was easy to talk to. She made me feel safe.
I decided to be brave, and let her in a bit.
“I saw Suguru today. For the first time since he abdicated,” I admitted. Her hand immediately joined mine, squeezing it gently in unspoken support. I couldn’t look at her as I continued.
“The things he said…I could barely recognize him. I don’t know what I’m feeling right now, but it's a lot,” I said, not feeling ashamed at how my voice cracked ever so slightly. I still struggled to articulate my feelings, but somehow she always understood exactly what I needed.
She rubbed her thumb over the back of my hand soothingly as we stood in silence.
“Thank you for telling me,” she said, her warm voice washing over me as I felt my chest tighten again. I don’t know how she managed to make me feel good about unloading my problems onto her, but she did.
I nodded, squeezing her hand back. I was suddenly overwhelmed with the emotions I’d been forcing myself to keep in check throughout the day.
She looked at me as if she understood. And I was glad she did, because I didn’t have any more words in me.
She released my hand, taking a step back and opening her arms out widely.
“Would you like a hug?” she asked sweetly, and I did nothing to hide the shock on my face. I couldn’t remember the last time I hugged someone because I wanted to, let alone a time someone ever asked me if I wanted one.
I was scared. I imagined the weight of my problems and stress taking her down, driving her to madness. But she patiently held her arms out to me, and I wanted nothing more than to be in her embrace.
I nodded and stepped towards her, my heart feeling like it could explode out of my chest. She wrapped her arms around my middle, pulling me in close. I felt the warmth of her head press against my chest, and I felt like crying. I could die a happy man if I could have her this close to me at all times, if I could smell her strawberry-jasmine shampoo for the rest of my life.
I carefully wrapped my arms around her shoulders, afraid of hurting her. I felt rigid, fearing I sucked at hugging and was probably making her feel like she was hugging a statue.
She didn’t say anything, though. She just held me close, rubbing up and down my back with her palms wordlessly until she felt the tension in my shoulders dissipate.
I felt myself finally relax, and I leaned down to rest my chin atop her head. I dared to press a quick kiss to the top of her hair.
I didn’t know how long we stood there embracing, I just knew I could stay there forever.
“I should probably let you get to sleep,” I murmured into her ear, and I felt her shiver at the contact. I smiled to myself, fighting against thinking about all the things I wanted to do with her beyond hugging. I made no move to release her from my embrace, though.
She pulled away first, and as I watched the way the firelight illuminated her face, I felt like dropping to my knees to worship her.
“Or, you could stay tonight,” and I felt my heart stop, while other parts of my body suddenly seemed wide awake.
My eyes must have been widened to saucers, because she immediately blushed and shook her head.
“I’m not, I didn’t mean…” she trailed off, puffing her cheeks. Something she did when she felt shy, I noticed. And thought it was adorable.
“My bed is enormous. You could just sleep next to me,” she said, daring to peek up at me. I thought I was a flirt, but this girl could teach a class.
“And, you look like you could use the company. I could too, actually,” she said. I didn’t want to return to my cold, empty room to be left alone with my thoughts.
“Are you sure?” I asked. I know she offered, but I didn’t want to make her uncomfortable. We’ve never spent the night together before.
“I’m sure,” she said, giving me one of her devastating, full smiles. I knew she was telling the truth.
“I have popcorn, and movies!” she added, and there was nothing more that I wanted in this world than to spend the night snuggled up next to this girl.
“And, I have mint water. I know you're a royal pain in the ass and can’t drink regular water,” she joked.
I laughed for the first time the entire week, and the sound of her matching laughter made it feel as though I had no problems in the world. I didn’t have the entire kingdom of my shoulders. I wasn’t the crown prince. I was just Satoru Gojo.
I slipped my hand into her fingers, lifting the back of her hand to my lips.
“Thank you. You always know how to make me feel better,” I said truthfully, trying not to think about how hard I was falling for this girl.
That beautiful blush dusted her cheeks once again, but she recovered quickly and tugged me by my hand towards her bed.
We settled under her comforter, and I was in heaven to be surrounded by the smell of her. She set the first movie to play, and when I extended my arm out to her, she gave me a brilliant smile before snuggling to my side.
I couldn’t remember the last time I felt so much peace.

summary: being megumi's babysitter has two benefits: you get to hang out with an adorable kid, and you get to work for gojo satoru. when gojo finally asks you on a date, the two of you drop off megumi to uncle nanami's for the day while gojo spoils you. but your megumi's separation anxiety might get in the way :')
a/n: megumi is 4-5 years old and is super attached to you. very fluffy and sweet, smutty at the end with soft top gojo. cursing, female reader.
tags: @gojonegs @brevnaaa @sad-darksoul
You busied yourself in the kitchen, preparing a bunch of snacks for Megumi to take for his day with Uncle Nanami and Yuji. The preschooler stuck to your side like glue - always wanting to be next to you or within your line of sight - so you settled him on the sofa where he could still see you.
“Anything else you want me to pack you, my love?” you asked, waiting for Megumi's usual request for extra strawberries. When he didn’t respond, you walked over to his spot on the couch where he was sitting with his chin tucked to his chest.
“Megumi? What’s wrong,” you asked gently, noticing the tremble in his bottom lip.
“I wanna go too,” he said quietly, rubbing at his eyes. You knelt down to his level, holding his hands in yours.
“Ah, you don’t want to go play with Uncle Nanami and Yuji?” you said softly.
“I stay with you,” he said, his voice wavering with tears. It shattered your heart to pieces, and you struggled to keep your own eyes from watering.
You sat next to him on the couch, lifting him into your lap. He hugged you tight, burying his face into your chest like he usually did when he was sad or sleepy.
“I promise you will have so much fun. Uncle Nanami told me Yuji has been bugging him for a playdate with you too! I hear you’re going to the zoo today,” you said, rubbing his back in soothing circles as his sniffles quieted.
You pulled back so you could look into his eyes.
“Gojo and I are going to have our own playdate today, but the places we’re going won’t be fun for you,” you reasoned, smoothing his wild raven hair back.
“I’ll let you in on a secret though,” you said cheekily, leaning forward to touch your forehead to his.
“I really like Gojo. But I love you the most,” you said, your voice tapering off to a whisper at the end.
Finally, Megumi smiled - so adorable and happy that you were second guessing your choice to drop him off at Nanami’s today.
“Wow! Megumi smiled! You know what that means right,” you said, mirroring Megumi’s growing smile with one of your own.
“Kiss attack!” you yelled, assaulting his cheeks and forehead with kisses, causing him to laugh loudly- the kind of free, unsupressed laughter that only little kids could make.
The sound of footsteps approaching in the hallway caught your attention.
“That must be Gojo! Why don’t we try scaring him?” you said, giggling as Megumi nodded eagerly. The two of you crept over to the side of the door, crouching right out of sight.
As soon as Gojo opened the door, you both jumped up in front of him, yelling nonsensically. Gojo being gojo, didn’t flinch at all, and instead greeted you both with one of those annoyingly beautiful, nonchalant smiles of his.
“Next time you wanna scare me, try to keep the giggling down. I could hear you both from the end of the hallway,” Gojo said, ruffling Megumi’s hair.
“Lame,” Megumi muttered, and you looked away to smother your laugh. You’d never heard him say that word before, but you’d definitely heard Gojo say it a few times.
“Oh yeah? I’ll show you what’s lame,” Gojo said, scooping up Megumi into his arms. Megumi squealed with laughter as Gojo tilted Megumi down, chanting “uh oh, uh oh, uh oh” until the preschooler was completely upside down.
“Okay okay! Let him breathe,” you said, smiling as Gojo righted a very rosy Megumi in his arms. He finally paused to look at you - and I mean he really looked at you, his eyes traveling up and down your body appreciatively.
It was the reaction you’d hoped for - you were all dressed up for your date after all. But it still made you blush insanely.
Gojo smirked to himself, leaning his head down to whisper something in Megumi’s ear. Megumi tilted his head in confusion, turning to face you as he told you “He said you’re pwetty.”
Your cast your eyes up to Gojo, who was already smiling warmly at you. You couldn’t help the smile tugging at your lips either.
“What’s pwetty?” Megumi asked, looking adorably confused in Gojo’s arms.
“If you say someone is pretty, it means looking at them makes you happy,” Gojo explained, though he was looking at you while he talked, making your stomach do those familiar summersaults it did whenever you had his attention.
Megumi’s eyes widened in understanding, immediately turning his attention back to you.
“Megumi thinks you’re pwetty too,” Megumi said, making your heart swell again. You thanked him, leaning up to kiss his cheek, then swiftly planting one on Gojo’s.
Gojo looked stunned for a second before he broke out into an even bigger, brilliant smile, the kind that made him look young and carefree.
~
The three of you arrived to Nanami’s place quickly, Gojo carrying the bag you packed while you and Megumi held hands.
As soon as the door open, Yuji came barreling towards Megumi, practically knocking him over with the force of his hug.
“Megumi!!! We gonna see tigers today!!!” Yuji yelled.
You and Gojo shared a look, the two of you holding back laughter at Megumi’s annoyed face.
“Yuji, how many times have I told you to greet people properly,” Nanami chided. Yuji apologized, quickly greeting you and Gojo before he dragged Megumi inside.
Megumi followed him, but stopped in his tracks to turn back and look at you.
“You come back?” Megumi asked, in such a small and uncertain tone that you had to take a deep breath to fend off the impending tears.
“Yes my love, I promise I’ll be back. Now go have lot’s of fun okay?” you said, watching as he nodded, wiped at his eyes, then turned join Yuji.
“Hey, why aren’t you worried if I’ll come back?” Gojo added, calling Megumi’s name a few times. Nanami chucked as Megumi completely ignored him.
“He’s quite fond of you. Don’t worry, I’ll take good care of him,” Nanami said, smiling warmly at you. You didn’t have a single doubt it your mind that he wouldn’t, but it didn’t stop the wave of sadness washing over you when it finally hit you that you’d be apart. Even though you had only been his babysitter for a couple months, you loved that kid like he was your own.
“Oy, why are you addressing her at not me?” Gojo said, but was again ignored.
“Thank you Nanami. Let me know if when you’d like me to watch Yuji for you, free of charge,” you said smiling as you peered inside, seeing Megumi and Yuji absorbed by Nanami’s fishtank.
Nanami thanked you, and Gojo ushered you out the door before you could cling to Megumi again.
The short walk back to the car was quiet - until you began sniffling. Gojo stopped in his tracks, turning to look at you as he chuckled in disbelief.
“Are you crying?” he asked, gently cupping your cheek in his hand.
“Maybe,” you sniffed, traitorous tears gathering in your eyes. He laughed to himself as he swiped the tears off your cheeks.
“Ah, and here I thought Megumi was the one with the separation anxiety,” he teased.
“I can’t help it! I just love that kid, okay?” you said, joining him in his laughter as your tears slowed.
“I know you do. And I am very grateful for it,” he said, adopting a low, affectionate tone as he swiped off the last tear off your face.
“But I’m gonna ask you to just think of me today, because I have been waiting ages to have you to myself,” he drawled, planting a soft kiss against the back of your hand.
~
Gojo Satoru did not hold back when it came to dates. Not that you’d expect anything less, but you certainly didn’t anticipate what he had planned; wine tasting, dinner, and the arcade. Except he booked the most extravagant wine tasting, reserving an entire floor of the winery for the two of you two of you. And he chose a rooftop dinner at sunset at the most exclusive restaurant in the city, where the chef prepared a special tasting menu just for the two of you. And he completed the date with a trip to the local arcade, which he completely booked for just the two of you to enjoy. You couldn’t recall ever having that much fun, let alone on a first date.
The two of walked leisurely, fingers interlaced, happiness from the evening practically emanating off of you.
“So, how’d I do?” Gojo asked, breaking the comfortable silence.
“That was the most amazing date I’ve ever been on. I can’t believe you did all of that for me, as a first date,” you said, the disbelief and wonder evident in your voice. Gojo’s rich laughter filled your ears.
“Oh, I’m just getting started,” he said confidently, giving you a boyish grin before he winked.
You gaped at him, because how could this be him getting started? Before you could question him more, he stilled.
“We’re here,” he said, guiding you inside an incredibly well decorated building.
“Here? I thought our date was over,” you said in confusion, following him as he pulled you further inside. The two of you were immediately greeted by workers dressed in immaculate uniforms. You recognized this place as one of the fanciest - and most expensive - hotels in the area.
“You didn’t forget the promise I made you last time, did you?” Gojo whispered in your ear, eliciting a shiver out of you. Oh, you remembered.
“Free your schedule next week. Megumi’s gonna spend a day with Uncle Nanami, and I’m taking you out on a date. And we’re gonna end the night in my bedroom, where you can be as loud as you want.”
Except this wasn’t his bedroom.
You looked at him in shock as he led you to the penthouse suite. It was a gorgeous space - a breathtaking view of the city, a lavishly made bed covered in rose petals, a stupidly enormous hot tub. But none of it drew your attention more than Gojo himself, gazing at you like he was going to devour you.
“Gojo, this must have cost a fortune,” you said, gulping as he took slow, deliberate steps towards you.
“Baby, I am filthy rich - this is nothing. I hope you have expensive taste, because I plan on spoiling the hell out of you,” he purred, and you knew he absolutely meant it.
You were suddenly aware of just how close he was to you. You could see the silver specks sparkling in his gorgeous eyes. Smell his intoxicating cologne. Hear the minute shift in his breathing. Part of you wanted to runaway from his attentive, heady stare. But another part of you wanted to bask in his attention, to revel in in.
“Are you gonna keep standing there staring, or are you finally gonna fuck me?” you said breathlessly, watching the way his eyes darkened and his lips parted.
He closed the distance between you, tilting your chin up as devoured you with desparate, open-mouthed kisses.
He bent down, lifting you up so his hands gripped your ass, your legs wrapped around his hips. You ran your hands across him greedily, shamelessly exploring his body from the soft skin of his collar to the silky strands of his hair.
He sat down on the edge of the bed, steadying you on his lap. You broke the kiss, gasping as he tugged you flush over his erection. Your dress had ridden up - leaving only the thin fabric of your underwear and his slacks separating the two of you.
“See what you do to me?” he murmured against your skin, trailing kisses down your jaw. He slid his lips lower, niping and sucking against a sensitive spot at the base of your neck while he ground his hips against you. You threw your head back, moaning as he lightly bit down at the same spot, grazing you with his teeth.
“You are so beautiful. I love hearing you moan,” he praised, laying you on the bed so you were flat on your back.
He didn’t give you time to catch your breath before he slid the straps of your dress down, kissing each inch of exposed skin until he reached your breasts. He stared at them appreciatively, humming to himself in satisfaction before he took your nipple into his mouth. You whined and writhed as he swirled his tongue against your sensnitive peak, sucking on you as he drew circles against the sensitive skin on your hip.
You lifted your hips up to grind against his ever-growing erection, desparate for friction. He moaned with you in his mouth, drawing back to tease you with a devastating smile.
“Someone’s impatient, hm?” he said lowly, rolling his hips against you. You could only moan in reply.
Suddenly, he moved himself off of you. You jerked your head up to complain, until he roughly pulled you to the edge of the bed, sliding to his knees before you. You soft gasps turned to pants as Gojo lifted your thighs over his shoulders, positioning himself perfectly between your legs.
“Can I go down on you?” he asked, placing slow, open mouthed kisses on the insides of your thigh.
“Please,” you begged, unable to keep your hips from lifting off the bed. Gojo gripped his hands on either side of your hips, pressing you down into the bed.
“Then stay still for me like a good girl,” he said, pressing a kiss against your clit through your already soaked underwear.
He flickered his eyes up to you before he yanked your panties to the side, licking a slow stripe up your core. You cursed as you threw your head back, tangling your hands through his silver locks. Gojo closed his eyes as he fucked you with his tongue, alternating between dipping his tongue between your folds and sucking on your clit. He moaned as he palmed himself through his pants, like he was the one drawing pleasure from eating you out.
“I could cum from the sound of your little whimpers and moans,” he said, eyes glazed over, lips swollen and dripping. The way he looked nearly send you over the edge.
You jolted up as you felt him drag his finger lightly across your core.
“May I?” he asked, eyes nearly black from the pleasure. You nodded your head, barely holding back a scream as Gojo slid his finger inside you, curling up as he sucked on your clit at the same time.
You came harder than you’d ever before, the wave of pleasure so unbearably sweet it had you gasping for air. Gojo brought his fingers to his mouth, closing his eyes as he sucked them clean.
“You taste as sweet as I dreamed,” he praised, moving forward to kiss you. You lazily kissed him back, reaching down between you to stroke him through his pants. He broke the kiss to moan in your ear, low and desparate.
“Can I fuck you now?” he asked, trailing kisses across your breasts. You nodded, the post-orgasm daze making you feel light and warm.
Gojo reached for a condom, but you stopped him with a hand on his.
“I’m on birth control. You can fuck me raw,” you said, enjoying the way his eyes hooded.
“If you keep talking to me like that, I’ll come in 2 seconds,” he warned, making you giggle. Your laughter turned to gasps when the head of his cock pressed against your entrance, slowly sliding to the hilt, reaching the spot that made you whimper.
“Fuck, you feel so good,” he cursed, pressing his forehead against yours as he slid his cock in and out of you. You scraped your nails down the smooth skin of his back as he quickened his pace, his hips wetly slapping against the back of your thighs as he drove into you.
“You hear that? You’re fucking soaked for me baby,” he panted, not bothering to cease his thrusts.
It was too much - his filthy praise in your ear, how deep he was hitting, the way he swiped his thumb over your clit as he fucked you. Your second orgasm seared into you, and you bit into his shoulder as you came down from your high.
“You are so pretty when you cum on my cock,” he said, kissing across your jaw.
You lightly pushed on his shoulder, a silent plea for him to give you a break. He complied right away, pulling his still very much erect cock out of you.
“Now, will you please sit on the bed so I can ride your cock?” you said, batting your lashes at him as you smiled.
He closed his eyes as the words came out, rolling his jaw as if he could barely contain himself.
“Fuck yes,” he murmured, moving to sit with his back against the headboard.
You crawled over to him, positioning his cock over your entrance as he steadied you with his hands on your hips. You indulged yourself in the way he threw his head back, murmuring a slow curse as you sank completely onto him. He moaned each time you sank back down onto him, his eyes rolling to the back of his head as you quickened your pace.
“You’re gonna make me cum,” he moaned, the grip he had on your hips becoming deliciously painful.
“Fill me up,” you said, smiling sultrily as he let out a string of curses and filthy praises. Barely a second later his hips bucked up as he came, spilling his warm seed inside you where it belonged.
If you thought the normal Gojo was attractive, sex-dazed Gojo was sinfully sexy - a feint flush over his porcelain skin, lips pinked and swollen, silvery hair in disarray, and a satisfied smile on his face.
You collapsed onto him, laying your head on his chest as pulled you closer. You both stayed in each other’s arms until you both caught your breath, relaxing as you cuddled.
“Oh my gosh wait what time is it? Don’t we need to pick up Megumi soon?” you said, sitting up suddenly.
“Relax baby. We have some time left,” he soothed, pulling you back into his arms.
“Still thinking about my kid, even as we’re laying naked together with my cum still inside of you?” he said, suddenly popping your tit into his mouth. You yelped, smothering a moan before he pulled back, laughing.
“He just popped into my mind, I promise. You’ve had my attention this whole day. I can’t even begin of thinking how I could repay you,” you reassured, pressing light kisses against his lips.
“You can repay me by going on another date with me. I already have it planned and booked so you have to say yes,” he said, trailing soft kisses against your shoulder as you giggled. You stood no chance against this man.
Definitely not when he princess-carried you to the bathtub. Not when he sat behind you, gently brushing his hands over your body as he cleaned you up, not letting you lift a finger. Not when he blow-dried your hair for you. Not when he laid out a comfortable set of clothes to change into - consisting of one of his crewnecks and yoga pants. Nope, no chance against this man.
~
When Nanami answered the door, his eyes immediately took in the obviously over-sized sweater you were wearing. He gave you a knowing smile, sending a blush to your cheeks as you avoided his eyes.
As you and Gojo walked inside, you noticed how abnormally quiet it was. The reason why became abundantly clear as you spotted Megumi and Yuji cuddled up on the couch, completely knocked out.
“They were very hyper at the zoo today. I’m surprised they didn’t fall asleep sooner,” Nanami said in a hushed voice, smiling warmly at the two boys. He showed you the pictures he took of the two throughout the zoo: Yuji and Megumi in matching tiger headbands, Yuji and Megumi walking while holding hands, Yuji sitting at the top of an enormous elephant statue, Megumi starting wide-eyed at the giant panda exhibit. You had Nanami send them to you immediately, already planning to get the pictures printed out.
You turned to show Gojo the pictures, but he was knelt down besides the two boys. He wore an affectionate smile on his face looking between the two of them before he smoothed Megumi’s hair back, gently patting his side until he stirred.
“Time to go home Megumi,” he said softly. Megumi reached his arms towards Gojo, not bothering to open his eyes as Gojo lifted him into his arms. The two of you thanked Nanami as you walked out, promising to host the next playdate between Megumi and Yuji.
Once you reached the car, Gojo made quick work fastening Megumi into his carseat without waking him, draping his jacket over Megumi before opening the passenger door for you. You thanked him with a kiss, promising to come inside his place to tuck Megumi in before you went back to your apartment.
The preschooler slept quietly as you carried him to the apartment, barely moving as you laid him in his bed and pulled the blankets over him. Only when you pressed a kiss to his forehead did he wake up, blinking up at you sleepily. Suddenly, his navy eyes were welling up with tears as he wiggled out of bed, nearly launching himself into your arms. You hugged him close, patting his back as he sniffled.
“You were so brave today going to the zoo with Nanami and Yuji. Did you have fun?” you said, rocking him gently as his cries settled. He nodded, gripping your sweater in his little hands.
“We go together next time?” he asked quietly. You squeezed him even tighter against you.
“Yes, lets go together next time. We can play your favorite games tomorrow, okay? I’ll be here when you wake up,” you cooed, kissing the top of his head.
“Don’t go,” Megumi said, beginning to cry once more. You tried rocking him to sleep, murmuring promises of all the fun you’ll have together tomorrow, to no avail. Gojo walked into the room, sitting on the bed beside you.
‘What’s all the fuss, Megumi?” he asked, swiping some of the tears off Megumi’s cheeks.
“No go,” he managed to say through his tears, sending sharp pains through your heart as his cries shook his little body.
“It’s been a while since he spent the day apart from both of us. It must have really shocked him,” you said, guilt stabbing into your chest.
“When I first brought him home, he never cried at all. He’s really lucky to have someone he can miss so much now,” Gojo said lightheartedly, bringing a smile back to your face.
“Why don’t you just sleep over?” he asked. You snapped your eyes to his, searching for the usual amusement in his eyes that let you know he was teasing. But there wasn’t any.
“Are you sure?” you asked tentatively. Cuddling Megumi while you slept and waking up to Gojo sounded like a dream come true.
“I’m sure. Only if you’re comfortable with it, I know it would make Megumi happy,” he said, patting Megumi’s back. “And it would make me happy to wake up to you,” he added at the end, the sincerity in his tone making you smile like an idiot.
“Okay, I’ll stay. You hear that Megumi? I’m gonna stay with you the whole night!” you said. The preschooler finally lifted his face from your chest, looking up at you with watery eyes.
“Stay?” he mumbled, wiping at his eyes.
“Yup, I’ll sleep next to you in your bed okay?” you said, cupping his face in your hands. Megumi finally stopped crying, nodding his head as he calmed.
“I’ll get some extra pillows for you,” Gojo said, moving to get up. Megumi stopped him with a small hand on his shoulder.
“No, stay too,” he said, reaching his arms out towards Gojo. Gojo chucked in disbelief, taking Megumi into his arms.
“I’m touched Megumi. I thought you only missed her,” he teased, but the warm smile on his face gave away how truly pleased he was about it.
Megumi shook his head, clinging onto Gojo’s chest so cutely you wanted to take a photo.
“Let’s all just sleep in my bed together then,” Gojo offered, lifting his brows at you as he smiled.
“Together?” Megumi said, looking between the two of you. Ah, now you for sure couldn’t say no. Not that you were going to.
“Yes baby, we’’ll be sleeping next to you the whole night, so you don’t have to worry okay?” you said, scooting close so you were flush against Gojo’s side.
Megumi finally smiled, hugging the two of you as much as he could. Gojo turned his body, enveloping both you and Megumi in his arms. You felt tears prick against your eyes as you were overcome with a wave of happiness. This is where you belonged, where you always wanted to be.
You fell asleep peacefully, cuddled up with your back against Gojo’s front and Megumi asleep against your chest.

I'm giggling
yuji had never been in gojo’s office before.
he hadn’t even known such an office existed until he and nobara convinced megumi to let them fly on nue and ended up with their faces smooching a glass window (which was now broken) and they’d been called into gojo’s office for a punishment.
it was extravagant, consisting of a dark oak desk, a floor to ceiling window, marble floors and whatnot. but mostly empty, no traces to suggest that anybody occupied it. it was devoid of any warmth and gojo’s personality—except for a frame on the desk that caught yuji’s eye.
“hey sensei, isn’t that your girlfriend?!”
gojo’s eyes flit to the photograph before he sighs, “she’s not my girlfriend anymore.”
“what?!” nobara screeches, “she was the best you could find! i mean good for her, she’s learnt her standards but now you’re definitely gonna die alone, sensei.”
even megumi’s lips were twisted into a frown.
yuji stutters, backtracking before they get kicked out of school, “wha-what she means to ask is why’d you break up? you guys were perfect for each other.” he pauses, “i think.”
he’d only seen her a few times around campus but she seemed like the sweetest person on earth, based on their few interactions. nobara definitely seemed to approve of her.
gojo props his legs up on the table, shrugging with his hands behind his head, “multiple reasons. first one, she’s out to torture me.”
“i am not.” the trio whips around to see you standing in the doorway, arms crossed with a flat expression. you lift up a bag, “you forgot your lunch. again. it’s been three times this week and it’s only wednesday.”
“as i was saying, she maimed my crotch permanently and lost any hope of mini me running around—”
“it was night and i got jumpscared by your radioactive blue eyes.”
“and then, she launched war on me and didn’t let me cuddle her.”
“because you came home bleeding with an injury that would worsen if i suffocated you.”
“and the worst of all,” gojo narrows his eyes at you, “she ate my kikifuku.”
“you’re a billionaire. just buy some more.” you shrug, placing the cover on his desk.
confusion lingers in the bemused side eyes of the students after the…interesting conversation.
“sure, they all sound heinous crimes…” yuji continues hesitantly, “but is it really worth breaking up over?”
“who said anything about breaking up? i just said that she wasn’t my girlfriend anymore.”
“now i’m even more convinced you were dropped on your head as a baby.” nobara blurts out but megumi’s eyes are already travelling to the ring on your finger, which gojo holds up to show off.
“she’s not my girlfriend anymore because she’s my wife!” he beams.
“fiancée.”
“for now.”
you roll your eyes but a fond smile blooms on your lips and gojo kisses your hand softly, “kids, say hi to mrs gojo. now i call dibs on yuji being the flower boy, megumi the ring bearer and nobara—”
“hold up. maybe we should think this through—”
“no wasting time. i need ijichi to sign the official babysitter documents for our future baby.”
“satoru!”

summary: you've been helping your neighbor, gojo satoru, out by babysitting megumi. when megumi's catches the flu, gojo relies on you for help.
a.n.: megumi is ~4-5 years old, and is extremely attached to you. a little angsty, mostly fluffy, a sprinkle of smut at the end. cursing, female reader.
~
The first time Megumi got sick, Gojo panicked. Not the frantic, frenzied sort of panic, but the quiet, desperate kind that he did his best to hide. But you noticed it - the way his fingers trembled, the way he barely looked you in the eye, the way he repeatedly ran his hands through his hair.
It was usually you who made the elevator trip up to Gojo’s high-rise loft to babysit Megumi a couple of days a week. That’s why it took you aback to see him at your door at 11:53 at night, looking stricken as he told you Megumi refused to eat all day and started throwing up.
You followed him to his place immediately, your heart squeezing at the sight of Megumi bundled up in his bed, his little face scrunched up in discomfort.
“Hey sweetie, you’re not feeling so good?” you cooed, kneeling as you placed your cheek against his warm forehead. He shook his head, though his flushed cheeks and labored breathing were enough confirmation that he was sick.
“He’s running a fever. Probably a cold, but you should take him to the ER just in case,” you told Gojo, watching as his shoulders tensed. He was slightly older than you, but still young to have a child; you could imagine how anxious he was feeling about Megumi’s first ER visit.
“I can come with you,” you offered, watching his shoulders relaxed ever so slightly.
“Please,” he said lowly, looking at you like you were his salvation.
You made quick work changing Megumi out of his sweat-soaked clothes and prepared a small bag of his favorite snacks and toys. You caught a glance at Gojo’s awe-stricken face before you scooped Megumi into your arms and followed Gojo to his car.
The silence in the car ride was heavy, Gojo’s stress was obvious in the way he gripped the steering wheel so hard his fingertips turned white.
“He’ll be okay. I’ll be here until he is,” you said gently.
His eyes flicked to you for a second before he swallowed roughly. He nodded, murmuring his thanks before you lost him to his thoughts.
Megumi was seen within the hour, the perfect patient as he allowed himself to be examined without a fuss (As long as you held his hand the entire time).
“It’s the stomach flu, pretty common for this time of the year. I’ll send you home with some medications, just be sure to keep him hydrated,” the doctor said.
“Let mom and dad take care of you, alright Megumi? You’ll get better in no time,” she said kindly, patting his head as he nodded sleepily. You looked at Gojo, waiting for him to correct her. But he didn’t.
As soon as she left the room, Gojo sank into the chair, exhaling heavily as he placed his head in his hands. It was strange to see a man so proud and confident to look so…tired. So human.
You stood between his legs, gingerly laying your hand on his shoulder.
“See? Megumi will be just fine,” you said, swiping your thumb back and forth over his skin.
“It’s been a long time since I’ve felt scared like that,” he admitted, reaching up to cover your hand with his.
“It’s how you know you’re a parent,” you said, moving your hand to cup his cheek.
He finally looked up at you, a mixture of relief, exhaustion, and something else painted in those eyes of his. You watched him wordlessly as he leaned into your touch, his long lashes fanning across his cheeks.
After a beat, his eyes snapped open, looking downwards as a sleepy Megumi tugged at his pant leg.
“Home now please?” he asked groggily, barely able to keep himself upright.
The two of you laughed as Gojo lifted him into his arms, Megumi settling his head on Gojo’s shoulder.
“Let’s go home,” he said, wrapping his jacket around Megumi. You could’ve sworn he was looking at you as he said it, though.
~
Sick Megumi was unexpecedly clingy. The first few times you babysat him, you were taken aback by how quiet and independent he was. Most kids his age demanded constant attention, but he was happy to be left alone with his two dogs. You did find out that shadowpuppets was a surefire way to get him to laugh, though.
You tried getting Megumi to rest in his bedroom, but as soon as the preschooler realized you weren’t right next to him, he’d get up to wander Gojo’s loft, tearfully calling your name until he found you. That's why you decided to settle down on the leather recliner in the living room, Megumi asleep on your chest with a blanket draped over the two of you. You were immersed in your Kindle before the sound of the front door unlocking dragged you back to reality.
Gojos strolled in, stopping in his tracks when he noticed the two of you. His sharp eyes eyes softened as he approached.
“Welcome home. You’re back early,” you greeted quietly, your heartbeat quickening as Gojo lowered himself to a crouching position so he could sneak a look at Megumi’s face.
His eyes flickered to yours, full of emotion you couldn’t quite place. He swept a few strands out of Megumi’s eyes, studying him like he needed to confirm that he was breathing.
“I may or may not have snuck away,” Gojo mused, eyes full of warmth and mischief.
“Careful, or this one will begin picking up some bad habits,” you teased, rubbing Megumi’s back as he stirred.
“Nah, he’s too much of a goody-two-shoes. Besides, there are more important things than work,” he said fondly, and the way his eyes flowed between the two of you while he talked, it felt like he was talking about you too.
You averted your eyes as you blushed, thankful that Megumi chose that moment to wake up.
His little fists rubbed against his half-closed eyes, looking between you and Gojo like he was wondering if he was dreaming.
He reached his hands out towards Gojo, who readily scooped him into his arms.
“Alright, I’ll get going then. I already gave him his meds and a bath so he should be okay for the rest of the night,” you said, gathering your things as you sat up.
You leaned forward to kiss Megumi goodbye, only to be stopped by the tears welling up in his eyes and the grip his hand had on your own.
“Don’t go,” he said, almost making you cry with how sad and adorable he was.
“Not fair Megumi. You don’t even cry when I leave,” Gojo teased, rubbing his back as you laughed.
“Gojo is home now my love, I’ll see you tomorrow though! I’ll already be here by the time you wake up,” you promised, wiping the tears from his soft cheeks.
Megumi sniffed as he shook his head, reaching his arms out towards you. You took him back into your arms, giggling at Gojo’s feigned hurt expression.
“I’m hurt, Megumi,” he said, making a show of wiping fake tears from his face.
“Oh no, look how sad he is Megumi! Don’t you want to spend some time with him?” you said, inching closer to Gojo, whose arms were outstretched.
Megumi looked at him for a second before shaking his head, burying his face in your neck.
You laughed even harder at Gojo’s expression, unable to find Megumi anything except utterly adorable.
“Fine, I get it. I would’ve chosen her too,” Gojo said, throwing you off with the affection in his smile.
“I can stay untill he falls asleep,” you mouthed to Gojo, hoping he could read your lips. He smiled at you before leaning into your space, his lips brushing against your ear as he spoke.
“Or you could stay for dinner. As a friend, not a babysitter,” he whispered, sending shivers down your spine.
“I couldn’t impose,” you replied, a bit more breathlessly than you intended.
“Nonsense. I’ve been dying to cook you dinner while you sit prettily in that chair,” Gojo said, seemingly pleased at the blush revisiting your cheeks.
How could I say no to that?
~
The sun had set long before you were finally able to get Megumi to bed for the night, the moonlight seeping into Gojo’s living room through the enormous windows.
You allowed yourself to sink down onto his couch, the exhaustion from the day wearing on you. Though Megumi’s fever finally broke, he could barely keep his food down today, forcing you to go back and forth bathing him, changing his bedsheets, and cooking different meals to see what he could stomach.
The click of the door being unlocked made you jump, the familiar sight of Gojo making you forget about how tired you were.
He sauntered towards you, looking so enraptured that he didn’t speak a word.
You froze as you understood why. The usual modest clothes you had on were long forgotten after repeated trips to the bathtub to wash the vomit and sweat off Megumi. The chaos of the day left you in your underclothes -  a thin tank top and cotton shorts - which Gojo seemed to be studying as though he’d never seen them before.
“Welcome home,” you began shyly, sitting up as you attempted to cover yourself with a pillow.
“Sorry about the outfit. Long day,” you continued sheepishly.
Gojo’s eyes finally snapped up to yours, somehow making you feel more naked than ever.
“Don’t worry about it,” he said, something unreadable in his tone.
He changed out of his work attire - taking off his watch, loosening his tie, and stripping off his jacket. Completely normal things to do when you get home. But he captivated your attention, unable to tear your eyes away from him.
“I can’t believe I’m jealous of a child,” he said to himself as he sat to join you on the couch, looking sinfully handsome with his hair tousled and the top buttons of his shirt undone.
“What do you mean?” you pressed, feeling your self-control begin to slip as you smelled as his cologne wafting towards you.
“Megumi gets to be with you all day. Gets to hug you, hold you, lay his head on your chest. I’m jealous,” he drawled.
You heard it again. That voice in the back of your head begging you to give in to the pull you constantly felt towards Gojo.
You dared to inch closer, well aware of his gaze roving up and down your body.
“You can do those things,” you said slowly, never breaking eye contact with him. And just like that, he snapped.
He was on you instantly, pinning you to the back of the couch as his lips moved against yours, desperate and demanding.
You kissed him back with the same fervor, shamelessly roving your hands over the smooth expanse of his chest, until you reached his hair. His silvery locks were just as silky as you expected, and you couldn’t help yourself as you gave them a light tug.
The deep, guttural sound that came out of him sent a wave of pleasure throughout your body. You felt your breath leave you as Gojo laid you on your back, positioning himself between your legs.
“I’ve wanted you since the day I saw you,” he murmured against your ear. His lips began moving from your jaw down your neck, causing you to gasp and squirm as he smiled against you.
“I kept myself on a tight leash for Megumi’s sake,” he started, trailing kisses across your shoulders.
“But you in that outfit? Fuck, I knew it was over for me,” he said, pulling back to admire how flushed and breathless he made you.
You grabbed the edge of his collar, tugging his lips to yours to return the favor. You wrapped a leg around his waist, pulling him even closer to you, his ragged breathing music to your ears.
“Fucking finally,” you said between kisses.
The sound of a thud coming from Megumi’s room caused you both to freeze. You rushed over to check on him, relieved to see he kicked his water bottle off his bed in his sleep. Sighing, you dragged the blanket back over his sleeping form, walking back to where Gojo sat on the couch.
His pupils were blown out, his lips bruised and swollen.
“Maybe we should continue another time, I don’t wanna wake him up,” you said, surprised at Gojo’s lack of protest. Instead, he tugged you into his lap, placing a soft kiss on your cheek.
“Free your schedule next week. Megumi’s gonna spend a day with Uncle Nanami, and I’m taking you out on a date. And we’re gonna end the night in my bedroom, where you can be as loud as you want.”

summary: a 2am confession between you and your childhood best friend, gojo satoru
a.n.: cursing, a slightly steamy/suggestive kiss scene, little angsty but mostly fluff. This idea randomly popped into my head last night so I hope you enjoy :)
~
“Do you think we’ll work out?” he asked softly, tentatively. Completely uncharacteristic for the confident, forthright person people knew Satoru Gojo to be.
Your best friend had always been larger than life, so focused on becoming the incredibly powerful sorcerer he is today that he never nurtured any of the lingering hope you kept around that he’d return your feelings. But Gojo was your sun, your moon, your stars - you were content to share the same sky as him.
But something was changing between the two of you. You saw it in the goodbye hugs that started to last a second longer than they should’ve. You noticed it in sharpness of his eyes anytime anyone else so much as looked in your direction. Felt it in the softness of a smile he only showed to you.
Tonight, that small spark of hope you’d been keeping alight was growing dangerously. You tried your best to smother it, telling yourself you’d been friends for years and he never saw you that way, so why would that suddenly change?
But do people who are just friends slip out at 2am to go stargazing at the top of a hill? Do they lay beside each other on an old blanket, close enough to feel the heat of each other’s skin, but barely far enough that they aren’t touching?
Do they look at each other the way he’s looking at you, like you’re the real wonder to be beheld when just above you, the moon and stars are shining brilliantly?
“We always have. Why would that change?” you replied, turning your head back up to the constellations. Your heartbeat was sickening in your own ears, amplified by the silence left untouched as neither of you spoke.
The blanket shuffled as he sat up, his face barely out of your periphery. You copied his movements, propping yourself up on your elbows as you struggled to understand the look on his face.
“Because I’m in love with you. I’m tired of being friends,” he said calmly, though you the way his hands fisted betrayed his uncertainty.
You froze for a second, wondering if this entire night had been a dream. Gojo Satoru, your best friend and unrequited love for years, liked you - no, loved you? You had to be dreaming.
A poke against your cheek broke you away from your thoughts.
“Please say something, or I’m gonna freak out,” your best friend said, looking more flustered than you’d ever seen him. His porcelain skin was dusted with pink, his gorgeous eyes frantically searching yours.
You burst into laughter. The kind that had you gasping for air and wiping tears away.
“What the hell is so funny?” he asked, and your laughter continued to bubble out of you at the adorable furrow between his brows.
You sat up to face him, wiping away a tear as your laughter died off.
“Sorry, it’s just hard for me to believe this is happening right now. Especially because I’ve been desperately in love with you since we were kids,” you admitted, indulging yourself in the way his lips parted in shock, the way he looked at you like he was seeing you for the first time.
“You…you’ve been in love with me this whole time?” he said, so quietly it hurt your heart.
“Yup. Pretty much everyone knew too, I thought it was common knowledge?” you joked, leaning your head against your knee as you watched Gojo go through the 8 stages of grief.
“The hell it wasn’t. Why hasn’t anyone said anything to me? Why haven’t you ever said anything to me?” he said, pupils wide as he searched your face.
You leaned back down, crossing your arms behind your head.
“We all assumed you would’ve made a move ages ago if you liked me back. I was content to just be in your life at all - plus, no offense, but I’m like the only solid friend you have in your life. I promised you I always would be, I couldn’t let my own feelings change that.” you said, feeling the weight fly off your chest as you finally told him.
You felt a whoosh of cool air as Gojo leaned down beside you once more, mirroring your position as you laid on your back and looked up at the sky.
“I…I’m sorry, I’m a fucking idiot,” he said. You let out a laugh in disbelief.
“You really didn’t know, not even the thought crossed your mind?”
“Nope,” he replied, almost sounding anguished.
You turned to your side, propping up your head with the heel of your palm.
“What changed?” you asked genuinely, feeling your nerves traverse throughout your entire body as he mirrored your position, your faces barely a few inches apart.
“I realized it when we had to be apart for a while because of that mission. I was miserable, because I was accustomed to seeing your smile everyday. Hearing the random overdetailed recounting of your day. Your laughter. Fuck, I was even searching perfume stores to see if any of them came close to the way you smell,” he admitted, eliciting a furious blush from your cheeks.
You reached up to brush some of the hair out of his eyes, admiring how his pearlescent locks seemed to glow under the moonlight.
“You have it that bad, huh?” you teased, watching his face relax ever so slightly as he rolled his eyes.
It was so fast you barely registered what happened, the way Gojo flipped you on top of him so you had no choice but to lay flush against him. You were stunned to silence as he wrapped his arms around your waist, catching you off guard with that brilliant, victorious smile of his.
“Oh, I absolutely do. But look who’s talking eh? You are sooo into me,” he said, smiling happily to himself.
You buried your face into his chest to hide both your embarrassment and your painfully-wide smile.
“Okay, okay, I am,” you admitted, feeling simultaneously shy and elated as Gojo tugged you even closer to him, burying his face in your hair.
“So, what now?” you asked.
You gasped as Gojo flipped you once more so you were pinned under him.
“Hm, well if I’m in love with you, and you’re in love with me, I think we should kiss,” he said, his smile evident in his words. You’d been around him long enough to hear the tease in his voice, and you knew he was messing with you.
“Just kidding. We can take it sl-”
His words came to a halt as you lifted up to press your lips against his ever so slightly, pulling back to rest your forehead against his.
“I’ve been in love with you since we were kids. Fuck taking it slow, kiss me right now,” you all but demanded. You admired his grin for a split second before his lips were moving against yours, full and soft and sweet.
“You don’t know how long I’ve been waiting to hear you say that,” he said breathlessly.
“Not longer than me,” you said between kisses.
His deep laugh resonated throughout your body, distracting you from the way his slender fingers were digging into your hips.
“You’re right. Let me make it up to you,” he said, pulling back long enough for you to look at him. His eyes were dark with desire, contrasting the flush that somehow made him look hotter.
He sat up, and his absence left you feeling chilled. It didn’t last long though, because he grabbed your hips once more and lifted you on top of him so you were straddled in his lap.
You smiled coyly as he positioned your arms around his neck, tugging you flush against him as he grinned at you proudly.
“You really like throwing me around huh?” you teased, though it came out more soft and gaspy than you intended as he began trailing kisses along your jaw.
“You have no idea,” he said, and you felt him smile against your skin as you tipped your head back to give him more access.
“Forget about sleeping tonight.”

Gojo x Reader Royalty AU | Part III.
summary: you are a princess in an arranged marriage with the crown prince of the country, satoru gojo. when you finally come of age and move into his palace, the two of you are forced to spend time together as the future queen and king of the nation. the future king definitely seems to have a thing for you though.
a.n: here is the link to part II of the story! enjoy the fluff <3
It was the night of yet another ball, and since it started you’ve been roped into what felt like thousands of meaningless conversations with nobles, politicians, random rich people, you name it.
The job of a princess, apparently. It helped that Gojo was by your side the entire time, refusing to leave you alone. Literally refusing, because you tried to step away from him for a moment to grab a much needed glass of champagne, but he caught your gloved hand in his. You looked at him funny as he dazzled you with one of his princely grins.
“No,” he said.
“No?”  you repeated, looking at him in confusion.
“Don’t leave me here alone,” he pleaded desperately, contrasting the charming smile on his face. You grinned back, squeezing his hand.
“What will you give me if I stay?” you asked, taking a playful step into his space. You allowed your eyes to unabashedly rake over him, looking like a vision in his regalia. The cerulean jewels decorating his crown truly made his eyes pop, and it was a lie to say you weren't proud to have a matching tiara. You tugged on the lapels of his navy suit, acting as if you were dusting something off when you really just wanted an excuse to touch him.
By the smile that reached his eyes, he was eating up the attention you were giving him.
“I’ll give you all of the cupcakes in this nation,” he promised, earning another laugh from you.
“You couldn’t possibly get all of them,” you countered, as he scoffed playfully.
“I’m the crown prince of this nation baby, there’s nothing I couldn’t get for you,” he said, winking at you. You raised your eyebrows in disbelief, torn between laughing and blushing. No matter how hard you tried fighting it, you loved the way he flirted with you.
Before you could reply, another noble called Gojo’s name from a few yards away. He seamlessly smoothed his countenance as he faced the noble, tugging you close so you looped your arm through his. He laid his free hand over your own, rubbing the back of your fingers with his thumb.
You finally broke free from the prince when some other royal approached the two of you to offer greetings. You didn’t miss the way Gojo’s smile tightened as he faced the man you later learned was named Mahito. Barely seconds into your conversation with Mahito, Gojo suddenly drew your attention to a friend of yours who apparently just walked in. Giving his hand a squeeze, you excused yourself to talk to Prince Yuta. You wanted to press him further on why he didn’t want you talking to this Mahito, but now didn’t seem like the best time.
The ball was finally dying down by the time you made your way out to your favorite balcony. Conversations finally fizzled out, most of the guests focused on enjoying the endless alcohol the palace supplied. You came here whenever you wanted to escape, when you got tired of talking and just wanted to be.
The moon shone on the palace gardens just below you - another favorite place of yours to be. You laid your hands atop the stone railing, leaving forward to soak in the moonlight. Your navy dress did nothing to protect you from the cold at this time of night, but you didn’t care.
“I thought I’d find you here,” a familiar voice said.
You turned and smiled at your prince who looked as devastating as ever, like the past few hours of the party hadn’t ruffled him at all. He was casually leaning against the doorway with two mugs in his hand, and somehow he still looked like he belonged on the cover of a magazine.
“I think my social battery is officially dead,” you admitted, eyeing the mugs in his hand.
He chuckled, following your gaze.
He settled himself next to you, copying your position leaning against the railing. Shoulder to shoulder, or at least your shoulder to the middle of his arm.
“That makes two of us. Thought you could use this,” he said, handing you the mug filled with warm liquid.
The comforting smell of Oolong wafted up towards you, the warmth of the mug easing the chill at your fingertips. That warmth traveled up to your chest, and suddenly you didn’t feel cold anymore.
“How’d you know I was craving this?” you asked, peering into the mug to avoid his eyes.
“You haven’t had it yet today,” he said, leaning towards you. You gulped as you thought about how much attention he was paying to you, that he knew that you had a cup of Oolong tea everyday, because it was the one thing that reminded you of home. And that you were so busy with party prep today that you hadn’t had a chance to have some.
You felt tears begin to prick at your eyes as you met his gaze, the silver flecks in his eyes sparkling in the moonlight, distracting you from the emotions threatening to overflow.
Not trusting yourself with words, you leaned up to press a featherlight kiss against his cheek, almost laughing at the way his jaw slacked ever so slightly.
“Thank you,” you said, voice thick with feeling as you sipped the tea. You wanted to capture the look on his face forever, the faintest of blushes adorning his pale skin, making him looking younger than his years.
“Anytime princess,” he added after a beat, clinking his mug against yours. The flash of green liquid inside caught your attention.
“What are you drinking?” you asked, peering into his cup.
“Melon soda,” he said, giving you a toothy grin. Prince Gojo everyone, ending his night with a mug of melon soda.
You laughed again, reflecting on how many times he’s made you laugh since you moved here.
The two of you fell into comfortable silence, enjoying each other’s presence.
“Cold?” he asked, studying you again.
“Hm? Oh, yeah I guess I am,” you said, noticing your goosebumps and wondering if he did too.
“This dress doesn’t do much to keep me warm,” you admitted, rubbing your hands up and down your arms.
“I imagine not, but you look gorgeous in it,” he said, the usual flirtatious note in his voice absent. It was the first time he ever outright told you he thought you were gorgeous, and you felt the butterflies travel your entire body. You muttered your thanks and looked away, not feeling brave enough to face him while you blushed.
You jumped as he captured his chin between his fingers, gently turning you to face him.
“I mean it princess, navy is truly your color,” he said, even closer than usual. His eyes flicked down to your lips, and you couldn’t help staring at his own.
“Hmm, you’re just saying that because I’m matching you tonight,” you teased, gently removing his hand from your chin but making no move to release his hand from yours. The navy of his suit was an exact match to the navy of your gown, and you loved it. It felt like proof that you belonged together.
“I admit I do love when you match me, but I’m telling the truth. You are stunning always, but I’m partial to you in blue,” he said honestly. You made a mental note to bring out everything blue you ever owned, already making plans to go shopping for more.
“You are such a sweet talker,” you said breathlessly, smiling shyly at him as you fought yourself from fanning the heat away from your face.
“No sweet talk, just the truth,” he said, rubbing his thumb against the back of your hand.
A beat of silence passed of you two simply looking into each other's eyes, unspoken words flowing between your gazes.
“Lucky for you, the cold is about to turn me blue,” you joked, beginning to shiver. He laughed, his real laugh, not the polite chuckle he used when he was entertaining.
You heard the rustling of fabric right before you were suddenly enclosed in something warm and heavy - the prince’s blazer.
“Finally being a gentleman and giving me your blazer?” you asked cheekily, hoping the tease distracted him from how embarassed and giddy his gesture made you feel.
“Please accept my most sincerest apologies my princess. Do punish me as you see fit,” he said, making a show of bowing to you while a grin split his cheeks.
Rolling your eyes, you lightly smacked his shoulder, earning you a boyish chuckle from him. You smiled to yourself as the oversized blazer draped across your shoulders enveloped you in his warmth and heavenly scent.
“Hmm, I’m still a little cold,” you began, willing all your nerves to shut off for the moment.
“Let’s head back ins-” Gojo paused mid-sentence as you gingerly grabbed his arm, lifting it up until you draped it across your shoulders, right where you wanted it.
“Ah, much better,” you said, giggling at his stunned expression. The prince was stiff for a second before he relaxed, drawing you even closer to himself as he breathed out a laugh of disbelief.
“If the cold weather is what brings this side out of you, remind me to install air conditioning in ever room of the palace,” he said.

satoru gojo: physical touch
okay listen listen LISTEN!!! this is so personal to me. a lot of people agree that satoru is a very clingy touchy "i want to literally crawl inside of your skin" boyfriend, but it goes sooo much deeper than that. the basis of this man's cursed technique revolves around the fact that he is constantly surrounded by infinity. no one can touch him. he keeps this on nearly all of the time, keeping himself protected. it became second nature for him- as easy as breathing.
so when you come into his life, the embodiment of everything his perfect person could possibly be, he's met with a feeling that is incredibly foreign to him. he actually wants someone to touch him. he craves it, with every fiber in his body. in your embrace, with his face buried in your neck and your limbs impossibly entangled, he feels safe. safe like he has never known possible. as he grew out of his adolescence and relied on his Limitless more and more, satoru's touch became a rarity. he saves all of it up just for you.
kisses on the top of your head as the two of you walk anywhere and everywhere. a hand on your thigh or the back of your neck in the car. satoru loves to carry you bridal style, too. around the house, to his parked car. satoru especially loves to do this when you're annoyed with him.
"satoru! how many times have we talked about this? you are such a man chil- HEY!" and you're in the air. and he is laughing his fucking ass off.
one of my personal favorites? he fucking loves to play with your hair. yep. if the two of you are on the couch, deeply engrossed in conversation, there's a solid 95% chance he has a lock of your hair twirling around his finger. if he is feeling extra unhinged, he'll give it a sniff. which earns him a flick on the forehead from you. he'll whine and say its "your fault for using all that shit that smells like dessert!" fuckin' weirdo. he's lucky you love him so much.
but here is the most important part of all of this. when the two of you are in a high stakes situation, and he is fully gojo, focused and serious (take my use of serious lightly, he's still satoru), you somehow are still always able to touch him. he's gotten rather adept at manipulating his cursed energy at lightning speed for the sole purpose of never ever being in a situation where your touch is barred by his technique. satoru will happily let you kiss him on the cheek before running off to fight cursed spirits. as soon as its over, your hands are on his face, checking every inch of him, even though you both know he won't have a scratch on him. your touch grounds him in those moments, gives him something to fight for, something to let down his walls for. you're his person, after all.
talking about you
gojo is annoying. everyone knows this, and they either love it or hate him for it. he loves to talk about himself, but its game over when he starts talking about you.
his kids are absolutely sick of it. they're lucky if they get through 45 minutes without something reminding him of you, because satoru is physically not capable of refraining from bringing you up if a thought of you pops into his head.
yuuji is drinking strawberry milk? no way! you had a glass of it this morning!
nobara forgot her phone? that's crazy, because you forgot your water bottle at home and satoru saved the day by teleporting there and back to bring it to you.
nanami tells him to shut up? hey now, the only person allowed to say that to satoru is... you guessed it! you!
everyone is convinced he talks about you more than himself. which prior to your relationship with the man child, no one ever thought this feat could be accomplished.
another thing: he always refers to you as his wife. no, you're not married ("yet," he'll say, with a cheeky grin as he squeezes your hips).
yet still, it is always "my wife" this, "my wife" that. shoko and nanami have had to clarify with way too many people that no, he does not have a wife. which apparently is the most offensive thing one could possibly say in satoru's presence. "yes i do! stop spreading lies!"
"shut up, gojo."
"i told you already, only mY WIFE CAN SAY THAT TO ME"
safe to say, it is a really good thing everyone loves you so much. they all agree hearing satoru talk about you is significantly more pleasant than hearing him talk about himself. its sweet really, how much he clearly loves you.

part two and three with geto and megumi coming soon! let me know if you enjoyed this, i loved writing it <3
