“Breaking Point” Pt. 2 Lewis Hamilton x reader
Warnings?: angst, jealousy, NSFW, brat kink? Idk
Summary: After a tense argument at the circuit, Y/N leaves without telling Lewis, retreating to the hotel to gather her thoughts. But as she settles in, a late-night call from Lando stirs the pot even further, igniting Lewis’s jealousy when he returns.
WC: 3,000?
Part 1 is here
The hotel room is quiet, the silence heavy and almost suffocating. I pace the length of the room, my mind still racing from everything that happened at the circuit. I couldn’t believe he had the audacity to act like that, to throw Lando into our argument just because he didn’t want to face the real issue. It was so petty, so unlike him, and it hurt.
But then again, maybe I shouldn’t have left without telling him. I can already imagine his reaction when he finally realizes I’m gone. But honestly, after the way he brushed me off, I couldn’t stand to stay there any longer.
As I sink onto the bed, my phone buzzes, and I see Jude’s name flash on the screen. I take a deep breath before answering, bracing myself for his no-nonsense tone.
“Hey, Jude,” I say, trying to keep my voice steady.
“Y/N,” he replies, his voice clipped and businesslike. “Just wanted to confirm the details for your shoot in LA. You’ll be flying out on Tuesday morning, so clear your schedule for the next month. We’ll need you on set every day, so no personal distractions, alright?”
I swallow, the weight of his words settling over me. “Got it.”
“Good,” he continues, barely pausing for breath. “Now, I’ve sent over the call sheets, locations, and everything else you need to know. Check your email and let me know if you have questions. I don’t want any surprises on set.”
“Right,” I mumble, feeling a flicker of frustration. Jude has always been the type to micromanage every detail, and right now, his stern tone grates on my already frayed nerves.
After a few more instructions, he finally hangs up, leaving me alone with my thoughts once again. I set my phone down, trying to push away the nagging guilt creeping into my chest. I shouldn’t feel guilty, I remind myself. I have every right to take this role, to make decisions about my own career.
My phone lights up again. This time, it’s a text from Lewis.
Lewis: “You left?”
I stare at the message, my fingers hovering over the screen. I know he’s upset, but right now, I don’t feel like giving him the satisfaction of an immediate reply. Another text pops up.
Lewis: “So you just walked out without saying anything? Real mature, Y/N.”
I clench my jaw, feeling a spark of anger reignite. He was the one who acted like a child back there, throwing accusations and refusing to see my side of things. I toss my phone onto the bed, deciding not to reply. If he wants to act like this, then let him stew.
It’s nearly 11 p.m. when I hear the faint sound of the door opening, followed by Lewis’s footsteps as he enters the hotel room. I keep my gaze fixed on the window, refusing to turn around and acknowledge him. The tension in the room is immediate, thick and heavy, and I can feel his eyes on me, practically burning a hole in my back.
“Are you going to ignore me all night?” His voice is clipped, a sharp edge to his words that only fuels my annoyance.
“Maybe,” I reply coolly, still refusing to look at him.
He lets out a frustrated sigh, and I hear him drop his bag onto the floor with a thud. “So you just left? Without even bothering to tell me?”
I finally turn to face him, crossing my arms over my chest. “I didn’t think you’d care. You seemed pretty done with me back there.”
“That’s not the point, Y/N,” he says, stepping closer, his eyes narrowing. “You don’t just walk out without saying anything. Especially not when we’re in the middle of something.”
I raise an eyebrow, feeling the anger simmering beneath my skin. “Oh, so now you care about my whereabouts? Funny, because back there, you didn’t seem to care about anything but throwing Lando in my face.”
His jaw tightens, and I can see the flash of irritation in his eyes. “Don’t turn this around on me. You’re the one who just decided to take on a huge role without even talking to me about it.”
I roll my eyes, feeling a surge of defiance rise up. “Lewis, it’s my career. I don’t need your permission to make decisions.”
He scoffs, crossing his arms as he stares me down. “It’s not about permission. It’s about respect. We’re supposed to be a team, Y/N. You could’ve at least let me know before deciding to miss four races.”
I throw my hands up, exasperated. “We’re not married, Lewis! I don’t have to consult you about every little thing in my life!”
He flinches, and I see the hurt flash across his face before he covers it with a cold expression. “I see. So that’s how you see this? As something casual?”
“Sometimes, yeah,” I snap, the words tumbling out before I can stop them. “It feels like this relationship is just… too much sometimes. Like you expect me to drop everything for you.”
He stares at me, his face hardening, and I can feel the anger radiating off him. “Too much? You think I’m asking for too much just because I want you to consider my feelings?”
I roll my eyes, a smirk tugging at my lips as I let out a sarcastic laugh. “You’re acting like I committed a crime just because I want to follow my dreams. Newsflash, Lewis, the world doesn’t revolve around you.”
His eyes darken, and for a split second, I see something shift in him. Before I can react, he closes the distance between us, his hands gripping my arms firmly as he pushes me back onto the bed. I gasp, more out of surprise than anything, my heart racing as I look up at him as he gets on top of me.
His gaze is intense, a mixture of anger and something else, something I can’t quite place. His hands still grip my arms, his face close to mine, his breath warm against my skin. “You think this is a joke, Y/N?” he murmurs, his voice low, dangerous.
I meet his gaze, refusing to back down. “Maybe… maybe you’re the one who can’t handle it.”
A flicker of something crosses his face—frustration, irritation, maybe even a hint of desire. He leans in closer, his grip on me tightening just slightly, his gaze locked onto mine. I can feel the heat radiating off him, the tension between us thick and electric.
“You drive me insane,” he mutters, his voice barely above a whisper.
“Good,” I reply, a smirk tugging at my lips. “Maybe now you know how I feel.”
For a moment, we just stare at each other, the anger and frustration swirling between us, mixing with something deeper, something more primal. His gaze drops to my lips, and I feel my heart hammering in my chest, a rush of anticipation mingling with the resentment I still feel.
His hand moves from my arm to my neck, gently squeezing, his gaze intense and unrelenting. “Is this what you wanted, Y/N? To push me until I snap?”
I bite my lip, refusing to give him the satisfaction of a response. But my silence only seems to fuel him more, his face inches from mine.
“Say something,” he demands, his voice low and commanding.
But instead of a response, I let out a soft laugh, daring him with my gaze. “What, can’t handle a little attitude?”
A dark smirk crosses his face, and for a brief moment, I see the flash of something almost… greedy in his eyes.
“You don’t know what you’re asking for, Y/N,” he murmurs, his voice a low growl.
“Maybe I do,” I reply, my voice barely a whisper, my heart pounding in my chest.
The tension between us is palpable, the line between anger and desire blurring, and I can feel the intensity radiating off him, his frustration and passion mingling into one. For a brief moment, we’re caught in a standoff, neither of us willing to back down, and I know that we’re both teetering on the edge, unsure of what will happen next.
He inhales sharply, his nostrils flaring, and for a moment, I think he might actually snap. But instead, he closes the distance between us, his lips crashing against mine in a bruising kiss. I gasp, surprised by the force of it, but I don't pull away. Instead, I find myself kissing him back just as fiercely, our teeth clashing, our tongues tangling in a desperate, angry dance.
His hands roam over my body, gripping, kneading, as if he's trying to remind himself I’m his. I can feel the heat of his skin through his shirt, the hard planes of his muscles flexing beneath my touch. He tears at my clothes, pulling my dress off, until I'm left in nothing but my underwear.
I reach for him, my hands fumbling with his belt, desperate to feel him, to touch him, to have him inside me. He groans, low and guttural, as I grab him through his jeans. I can feel how hard he is, how much he wants me, and it only fuels my own desire.
He inhales sharply, his hips bucking into my touch. "Brat," he mutters, but there's no real anger behind it anymore, just a simmering heat, a desperate need.
I lean in, trailing kisses along his jaw, down his neck, my tongue darting out to taste his skin. He shivers, his hands gripping my hips, pulling me against him. I can feel his hardness pressing against me, and it makes me ache with want.
But then, the shrill ring of my phone cuts through the heated silence, startling both of us. I feel him tense against me, and he lets out an annoyed growl, pulling back slightly, his gaze narrowing as he looks down at me, his breathing ragged.
“Who the hell is calling you at this hour?” he mutters, his voice dripping with irritation.
I’m just as annoyed as he is, but before I can even reach for my phone, he snatches it up from the nightstand, his eyes flashing as he glances at the screen. His jaw clenches, and a dark look crosses his face as he turns the screen toward me, his expression a mix of anger and disbelief.
“Lando?” he says, his voice laced with accusation. “Why is he calling you? What the hell does he want?”
I blink, my mind struggling to catch up as I stare at the name flashing on the screen. “I… I don’t know,” I stammer, feeling my heart sink. I honestly have no idea why Lando would be calling me, but I can already feel Lewis’s jealousy simmering, his grip on my phone tightening.
He lets out a bitter laugh, shaking his head as he glares down at me. “Really, Y/N? You’re telling me you have no idea why he’s calling you at eleven at night?”
I sit up, trying to take my phone from him, but he holds it just out of reach. “Lewis, come on. It’s probably nothing. Lando’s always trying to rally people to go out after a race. It’s not a big deal.”
“Not a big deal?” he repeats, his voice dangerously low. “Why does he even have your number, let alone feel comfortable enough to call you at this time? Do you have any idea how this looks?”
I feel a flash of frustration, the anger from earlier bubbling back up. “Are you seriously doing this right now? It’s Lando. He’s just a friend, Lewis.”
He scoffs, his grip on my phone unyielding as he stares down at me, his eyes hard. “A friend who clearly has no boundaries. Or maybe you’re the one who doesn’t.”
My mouth falls open in shock, and I feel a sting of hurt at his accusation. “Excuse me? You’re the one who’s being unreasonable here. I haven’t done anything to make you doubt me.”
“Then why didn’t you tell him to stop calling and texting you?” he snaps, his voice rising.
“Because it’s not an issue! You’re making it one,” I retort, the fire in my chest burning hotter as I meet his gaze. “If you’re so insecure about my friendship with Lando, that’s on you, not me.”
His eyes flash, and for a moment, I see a hint of vulnerability, quickly masked by anger. “Insecure? I’m not insecure, Y/N. I just don’t appreciate my girlfriend getting late-night calls from other guys, especially not ones who I’m pretty sure are interested in more than just ‘friendship.’”
I let out an exasperated sigh, trying to pull my phone from his grasp, but he holds it firm. “Lewis, it’s not like that. And if you trusted me, you’d know that.”
He stares at me, his gaze sharp, calculating.
Then, slowly, he holds the phone out, his expression unreadable. "Fine. Answer it, then. Let's see what he wants.
I glance between him and the phone, my heart pounding as I reluctantly take it from his hand. My fingers are shaking a bit, and I press the screen to answer, bringing it up to my ear.
"Hello?" I say, trying to keep my voice steady.
But before I can get another word out, I feel Lewis's hands on me again, his fingers gripping my waist as he leans down, his lips finding my neck. I gasp, my words faltering as he presses soft, heated kisses along the sensitive skin just below my ear, sending a shiver down my spine.
"YIN? You there?" Lando's voice crackles through the phone, cheerful and oblivious. I can barely concentrate, Lewis's lips warm against my skin, his hands trailing up and down my sides, pulling me closer.
"Uh... yeah, I'm here," I manage to say, my voice coming out breathy, almost shaky.
"What's up?"
"Just wanted to see if you were up for going out tonight," Lando replies, his tone light. "A bunch of us are heading to a bar nearby.
Figured I'd check if you wanted to join."
Lewis's mouth trails down my neck, his lips grazing my collarbone, and I struggle to keep my composure, biting my lip to stifle a soft gasp. He's doing this on purpose, I realize, trying to keep me distracted, knowing full well what he's doing to me.
"Um... I don't think I can make it," I finally say, my voice wavering slightly as Lewis continues his assault on my neck, his teeth grazing my skin just enough to make my pulse race. "I... I think l'Il be staying in tonight."
"Oh, alright," Lando says, sounding a little disappointed. "Well, if you change your mind, just text me. We'll be out pretty late.”
I try to mumble a response, but Lewis presses his lips to a particularly sensitive spot on my neck, and I feel a shiver run through me, my fingers gripping his shoulders as I struggle to keep my balance.
"Yeah... okay," I manage, barely aware of what I'm saying.
I hear Lando say goodbye, and I quickly end the call, dropping the phone onto the bed as Lewis's hands tighten around my waist, pulling me flush against him. His gaze is intense, his eyes dark and filled with something primal, something possessive.
"Staying in tonight, huh?" he murmurs, a smirk playing on his lips as his fingers trace slow, teasing circles on my hips.
I let out a shaky breath, meeting his gaze with defiance. "What was that about?" I demand, though my voice betrays me, coming out softer than I intended.
He raises an eyebrow, his smirk widening as he pulls me even closer, his face mere inches from mine. "Just making sure you're focused on the right person," he murmurs, his voice low, sending a thrill down my spine.
I roll my eyes, though I can't hide the small smile tugging at my lips. "You're ridiculous, you know that?"
"Maybe," he replies, his tone playful but with an edge of intensity. "But I don't like sharing."
And then he's on me again, his mouth trailing down my neck, his teeth nipping, his tongue soothing the sting. I arch into him, my nails raking down his back, leaving red lines in their wake. He hisses, the pain seeming to spur him on, his hands sliding beneath my thighs, pushing them apart, spreading me wide for him.
I can feel the heat of his gaze on my most intimate parts, and I squirm beneath him, suddenly self-conscious. I feel his hand slide under my thong, onto me. His fingers are there, stroking, teasing, and all thoughts of embarrassment fly out the window. He circles my clit with his thumb, his fingers dipping inside me, stretching me, filling me, and I cry out, my back arching off the bed.
"You're so fucking wet," he murmurs, his voice rough with arousal.
I nod, wordless, lost in the sensation of his touch, the way he's making me feel. I love being touched like this, with such hunger, such desperation, and it's intoxicating. I want more, I want everything he has to give me.
I moan, my head falling back against the pillow as he works me expertly, his touch rough and demanding. "Is this what you wanted, Y/N?" he growls, his fingers pumping in and out of me. "To be fucked like the brat you are?"
I bite my lip, refusing to give him the satisfaction of a verbal response, but my body betrays me, my hips lifting to meet his hand, my walls clenching around his fingers. “Yes… please.” I whine.
His fingers slow their relentless pace, and I let out a frustrated moan. "Ah ah ah," he tuts, a wicked grin spreading across his face. "What was that, Y/N? I couldn't quite hear you over all that begging."
I flush, embarrassed and turned on in equal measure. "Please," I say again, louder this time, my voice cracking with need. "Please fuck me, Lewis. I want it… don’t tease me." I whine.
He rewards me with a particularly deep thrust, his fingers curling inside me and making me cry out. "Good girl," he praises, his voice low and approving. "Such a good little brat for me. Maybe if you're lucky, I'll give this bratty girl exactly what she’s begging for." He says lowly, promising something more intense after this.
He continues to work me over with his fingers, his thumb circling my clit in maddeningly slow strokes. My body is wound tight, teetering on the edge of release, but he keeps me there, denying me the satisfaction I crave.
"Lewis, please," I whine, tugging at his hair, my nails digging into his scalp. "I can't…Please let me…." I beg for permission.
He leans down, his lips brushing against my ear as he growls, "Cum for me, Y/N. Cum all over my fingers like the desperate little baby you are."
And with those filthy words, I shatter as I orgasm.

Hi hi!!!! I’m super super sorry to bother you in such a stressful time but I have some things going on with a cat in my life and thought you’d have some ideas!!! My boyfriend recently picked up a female cat from his friend. This is his first ever cat, and the friend said they were strays he found as kittens and now keeps on his catio. The problem is that the friend said the female has always been kind of shy but explained that the two brothers were a lot more social and kind of butted her out of the way to get attention. So now she’s at my boyfriend’s house, she’s been there since Monday, and she won’t come out from under the bed at all during the day. She has been lightly exploring at night and has used her litter boxes a couple times, but last night she didn’t use them or eat or drink at all. He’s getting really worried and stressed since this is his first cat and I keep telling him to be patient. Is there anything else we can do to make her more comfortable or is it a waiting game? Do you think she’ll actually warm up or is she just going to be a cat that’s stressed out being in a house vs outside on the catio?
hello, hello! honestly, i'd rather talk about cats than politics any day. I don't know how to solve a country's myriad of problems, but i know cats.
so, it's really normal for cats to be shy at first, especially in a new environment. For a moment, imagine what it must be like: you are a small animal who's known only one place all your life. Suddenly, you are in a new place! With strangers! You're vaguely aware that they PROBABLY aren't harmful, but you're really not sure. Better to stay safe until you ARE sure.
It can take a cat up to three months to FULLY become comfortable in their new environment (tbh, it can take MUCH longer for some cats, but they tend to be extreme outliers). The fact that she's coming out at night to use her box and eat are VERY good signs.
So when i recommend is that your boyfriend spends some time on the floor. He doesn't need to interact directly with the cat--- in fact, I recommend he ignores her mostly. Just sit down on the floor with a puzzle, a book, a video game--- just anything that's quiet that lets him exist in the cat's environment for a little while. By just existing there, he can demonstrate that he's not a threat. He doesn't need to be there for like. a long time or anything. he can start out with small stretches of time and adjust as necessary.
She might start to come out slowly, but try to leave all interactions up to her. He can offer her little treats--- little bits of chicken (no seasoning; cheap roast chicken is a favorite, as long as it's the unseasoned bits. you can even just boil up chicken breast), temptations, churu (or anything similar) are all favorites and do pretty well. Leave the treats within her easy reach. As she starts to come closer, leave the treats closer to his leg or something. The idea is to get her to associate him with Tasty Delicious Things.
It's also fine if she doesn't eat the treats immediately while he's watching. Again, she's stressed and scared; she doesn't realize he doesn't mean any harm. She's just scared :( She's a very small cat in a very big world that's suddenly gotten a whole lot bigger.
He could also buy some feliway diffusers, but this can be a bit pricey. I can say that most cats react very well to them, but most cats react just as well to chicken, so let's start with the lower cost items.

"You deserve better than that." (s.cb)
plot; Innocence and inexperience is something a man can easily take advantage of. When (y/n) starts dating a man older than her, Her brothers get protective. They see how awful he is to her, and they know they need to get her away from him. paring; fem!9th!member!reader x bestfriend!Seo Changbin genre; angst, comfort, tad fluffy if you squint word count; 2.3k warnings; reader gets her inexperience taken advantage of, shes dating a mean older guy, arguments (but nothing too serious), cursing, protective Stray Kids, 3rd pov request?; yes! request found here!
When (y/n) started dating an older man, she saw no issues in it. He was kind, caring. He bought her gifts and took care of her. Min-Jun was a good guy. In her eyes at least. Her overprotective older brothers saw straight through his lies. He was using (y/n). He only needed a pretty arm piece. He didn't actually care about her. He was just bored and needed something to do.
Recently, he had been acting a little weird.. So have her members. She saw it. She didn't like any of it. She sat in the living room, Hyunjin, Felix and Chan scattered around. Minho was cooking lunch in the kitchen, The others were in their rooms or at the dining table. (y/n) was kinda zoned out as she listened to her members laugh and talk.
But she spoke up, needing to get rid of the gnawing feeling that something was wrong. "Guys, did something happen?" She spoke up. Felix was the first to look over, confused. "What do you mean?" He hummed, sitting up more to face her better. "You guys are acting really weird recently. Especially when Min-Juns here." She took a deep breath.
Chan immediately rolled his eyes and threw his head back. He ran a hand over his face. God, he hated that guy. The dude was such a faker. He didn't understand how (y/n) didn't see it. He was tired of trying to hide his hatred for the guy. Especially since he was hurting (y/n). He couldn't let himself lie to her anymore. "(y/n).." He mumbled. Hyunjin and Felix shared a glance. They knew how much Chan despised their maknaes boyfriend. They looked down, opting to stay quiet and let Chan talk.
"He's not good for you, (y/n)." Chan finally said it. (y/n)'s blood went cold. "What?" She laughed in disbelief. What was he talking about? "I said he's not good for you! He's using you, (y/n). Why can't you see that?" Chan sat up. (y/n)'s eye twitched. She blinked at the older man before she stood up. "Don't walk away from me, (y/n).." Chan sighed. "No! I'm not gonna sit here and listen to you shit talk my boyfriend just because you don't like him!" She turned to him.
"I don't like him because he's using you! Are you not listening?" Chan backed himself up. "Bullshit." (y/n) grumbled. She turned to walk to her room, but the members were all there now. Poking into the room curiously. She made a face. "What? You guys gonna tell me he's bad too?" She snapped. "Yeah, actually-" Changbin pipped up. But before he could actually speak, the woman groaned and stormed off, slamming her bedroom door.
(y/n) laid down on her bed and huffed. She covered her face with her hands. She was starting to have doubts now.. They were just trying to get her to break up with him because they didn't like him! Min-Jun was a good guy! He took care of her! He bought her stuff! He was a good boyfriend! Well.. Was he?..
Sitting up on her bed, she wondered if maybe- Just maybe they were onto something. Maybe he wasn't as great as she thought?.. She was quick to pull out her phone. She went to her text messages with him. He did seem more dry than usual.. But he was busy! That's what he said! He said he was busy with work stuff!
(y/n) groaned in frustration. She texted him.. "Hi, my love! Do you wanna come over tonight for dinner?" She stared at the message. And stared.. And stared. It wasn't till five minutes later, when she was about ready to say never mind when he responded. "Cant. Going to the bar with some coworkers. Tomorrow night?" Oh. Again? That's fine! It's fine! They've been working on a big project, they deserve a night out. "Alright! See you tomorrow! <3!" She expected a smile emoji. Maybe a 'Can't wait to see you~' But no.. She got nothing. Read at 4:25pm.
She was a little hurt. But she didn't think anything of it. He said he was busy. So, she would brush it off like she did every other time. The poor girl was so innocent and inexperienced. She texted the group chat that Min-Jun would be there for dinner tomorrow before she decided to just go to bed. Going to bed at 4:30? Yes, because she wasn't in the mood to stay up anymore. She didn't wanna deal with Chan anymore. Or any of them for that matter.
That next day wasn't much better. The members were grumpy. For good reason though. (y/n) hadn't necessarily talked to them about Min-Jun coming over, she just assumed they'd be fine with it. But they got over it. Correction- some of them got over it. Chan, Changbin and Minho were still reasonably upset. Minho again was in the kitchen cooking, (y/n) was in there helping.
She was waiting for Min-Jun to show up. She really needed to see him. She needed to know that all the things Chan said weren't true. She needed to be held and told that he really did love her. She rushed to the door when there was a knock. She smiled as she opened it. "Hi," She smiled. "Hey." Min-Jun said flatly, flashing a smile before walking past her and slipping off his shoes. "Smells good." He said. (y/n) blinked. She pursed her lips, a little upset she didn't get a kiss.
"Ah, yeah! Me and Minho were-" She didn't even get to finish before Min-Jun shot her a bored look. She nodded softly. She had learned to shut up when he told her too. She didn't wanna make him upset. Changbin saw this. He squinted. He took a deep breath. "Min-Jun. Been a while." He hummed. "Yeah. Works been a hassle." Min-Jun answered shortly as he sat himself down at the table.
Hell, the guy didn't even try to act like he cared anymore. He knew he had (y/n) wrapped around his finger tight enough, that any change in his behavior would be brushed off. Or she just kept quiet about it, not wanting to make him angry or annoyed. The air was so thick you wouldn't even be able to get the knife in it to even cut it..
It was all small talk before dinner was set out. Everyone ate quietly. Chan and Changbin shared a look.. They members had definitely talked about something without (y/n) present. (y/n) cleared her throat. "When is your guys' next schedule? You've seemed to be slacking recently," Min-Jun spoke up, leaning back in his chair. "We aren't slacking." Seungmin huffed, almost offended by his wording. "Min, that's not what he meant." (y/n) defended. "Mm.. Debatable." Min-Jun took a bite of his food.
(y/n) blinked at the comment. "Yikes." She mumbled. Changbin finally set his utensils down. "I think you should go, Min-Jun." He said seriously. Min-Jun blinked. "Sorry?" He laughed. "I didn't do anything!" He scoffed. "Don't act stupid, I said you should go." Changbin repeated. He never acted like this. He usually had at least a little bit of patience. What the Hell was his problem? Min-Jun. Min-Jun was his problem. "Changbin, stop-" (y/n) grumbled.
"No! (y/n), i'm done with this guy!" Changbin was furious. "He's using you! We all see it!" Changbin finally said. He didn't even care about the stupid comment about them slacking. He was pissed about the fact that Min-Jun sat here and did this to their girl, thinking they wouldn't see it! Did he think they were stupid?! Min-Jun rolled his eyes. "Everyone sees it but you, (y/n)!" Changbin added. (y/n) stared. She took a deep breath. She slowly turned to look at Min-Jun who just leaned back in his chair. He rolled his eyes and sucked his teeth. "I'm not doing this." He scoffed and stood up. (y/n) was quick to follow him to the door.
This was definitely not how this was supposed to go. Not at all in fact. But then again, she couldn't just let him leave. Not now. She needed to figure out what the hell was going on? If maybe her members warnings were right. "Don't you dare open the door." She growled. "Are.. Are they right?" She asked.
Min-Jun sighed and shook his head. "I said I'm not doing this, (y/n)." He growled. "Bullshit! Are you using me or not!?" (y/n)'s voice cracked as she slapped his chest. She was frustrated. "What the hell?" Min-Jun glared down at the shorter woman. Her members stayed in the dining room.. Chan and Changbin were standing, ready to run out there and beat his ass if he laid even a finger on her.
"You've been acting really weird recently, and I'm sick of it." (y/n) said in a lower tone. "What's wrong? Please i-" She reached for his hand, but Min-Jun pulled away. "We're done, (y/n)." He spat. It felt like her whole world crumbled. "Wha-What?" She choked. "I said we're done." Min-Jun scoffed. "I never loved you. I honestly just wanted an arm piece to show off to my parents." He admitted. That was only half of it.. You could only imagine what he had been doing behind her back.
Everyone heard it. The boys' faces varied from sympathetic looks to ones of pure hatred and anger. "But.. But you- The gifts.. And the cards?" (y/n) tried to understand. "Yeah, to make you stay longer. I couldn't have you catching on too soon." Min-Jun shrugged. He patted her head. "Thanks for the time with you, doll," He pinched her chin lightly. It was more of a mocking thank you than anything else. It wasn't till the door clicked shut that (y/n) choked on a sob.
Chan went to rush to her side, but Changbin was quicker. "Hey, hey, jagi," He pulled her into his chest. His voice and expression was so much softer than it had been moments ago. (y/n) sobbed and gripped onto her best friend. She felt like she had just been ripped apart. She felt so fucking stupid! She felt humiliated! Changbin hushed her and rubbed her back.
He scooped her up and walked to her room. He gently sat on her bed, cradling her to his chest. "(y/n) breathe." He said. (y/n) whined at him, coughing from how hard she was crying. "(y/n), you're going to give yourself a panic attack, breathe." Changbin sat her up and faced her to look at him. "Yo-You guys were right i-" She sobbed. "I'm so stupid-!" She hiccupped. Changbin shook his head. "No. No you're not stupid, (y/n). You didn't know." He gently wiped her tears with his thumbs.
(y/n) shook her head. "But you guys told me! You tried so-so many times to warn me, and I ignored you!" She whined. "But that's okay! It takes a mistake to learn something, alright?" Changbin hummed. "We're not mad at you. We just want you safe and happy." He said. "Plus, he was a little weird anyways.." He made a face. That did get a little giggle out of (y/n). She sniffled and wiped her face. "Yeah.. He was a little more than weird." She huffed.
"Listen, name one good gift this guy got you!" Changbin leaned back, already in the shit talking position. "You told him your favorite flowers were tulips and lilys, this guy got you one single sunflower," He rolled his eyes. "That one time he got me a card and it was a mothers day card. He hadn't even written anything in it." (y/n) sniffled as she messed with her hands. "He wasn't good for you, jagi." Changbin tilted his head at her slightly.
"You deserve so much better than that." He said softly. "Next time you decide to date someone, me and Channie Hyung are doing a full background check on that guy." He grinned. (y/n) laughed softly and shook her head. "I think I'm done with men for a good while." She hummed. Changbin squinted. "Besides you guys, duh." She rolled her eyes.
Changbin hummed and gently pulled her back into his arms and laid down. He pet her hair. "I'll make sure nobody ever hurts you like that again, (y/n)." He whispered into her hair. "Thank you, Bin.. For looking out for me." She hushed. "I'll always look out for you, my jagi." He kissed her head. (y/n) was so emotionally exhausted.. She closed her eyes and cuddled into Changbins side.
She relished in the comfort of his arms and the sound of his heartbeat. She opened her mouth to thank him once more but a soft snore made her pause. She sat up slightly, looking at his sleeping face. Did he just...? She guessed he was tired too. He had been up a while, since he had his morning workout. He guessed being angry didn't help at all either. She hummed before she cuddled back into him. She didn't take much longer to follow him to sleep.
The next day, she would apologize to the others.. She would apologize for bringing him over without really asking. Or backing up his snarky, mean comments towards them. She felt awful for how blind she had been. But none of them were mad at her. Chan agreed with Changbin, that to learn from a mistake, you have to make one.
Felix and Hyunjin had even bought her some of her favorite snacks and such to comfort her. Hyunjin even bought her a bouquet of her favorite flowers.. Tulips and Lilys.. Not a sunflower. God, she loved them so much. She was glad to have her older brothers there to comfort and protect her. She didn't need a stupid boyfriend as long as she had her best friends..
...
horrayyy!! i finally got to this request! i'm so so sorry it took so long again. I did accidently slide a little out of the plot, but i hope you still like it! muah muah!! have a good day/nightt! stay safee!

"What are you wearing, detka?"
Natasha’s voice echoed through the room as Wanda rummaged through her things, preparing for her nightly routine. They had been apart for a few days now, ever since Natasha was called away on SHIELD business. The details were classified, leaving Wanda in the dark, but she understood the necessity. For now, video calls were the only way to stay connected.
Wanda glanced at her phone, where Natasha's face filled the screen. Natasha looked stunning as always, with her red hair perfectly in place and her shirt neatly buttoned up with a tease of her cleavage. "Hmmm, I'm wearing the light blue dress you bought me," Wanda replied while applying moisturizer, the final step in her skincare routine.
"Can I see?" Natasha asked, her tone playful yet filled with genuine interest.
Wanda rolled her eyes but couldn’t suppress a smile. Natasha’s fascination with her never seemed to wane, no matter how long they had been together. "You've seen me in this night gown a million times. Aren't you tired of looking at the same thing?" she sighed, her voice tinged with mock exasperation.
"Never," Natasha said softly, her voice warm and affectionate. "I love looking at you, no matter what you wear. You always look beautiful to me."
Wanda felt her cheeks flush, the sincerity in Natasha’s words cutting through her usual defenses. Compliments from Natasha always hit differently, effortless, sincere, and capable of making Wanda feel seen and cherished. Despite the distance and the screen between them, Natasha’s words had a way of reaching Wanda's heart, reminding her how deeply loved she was and helping her appreciate herself just a little bit more every day.
"Alright, I'm going to show you, but first, close your eyes."
A wide grin spread across Natasha's face, and Wanda couldn’t help but smile in return, captivated by how beautiful Natasha looked even over a screen.
"Okay, baby. My eyes are closed," Natasha replied, her voice playful yet filled with anticipation.
Wanda picked up her phone, feeling a small rush of excitement as she moved to her bed. She positioned herself comfortably, lying back against the pillows, and stretched her arm up, making sure the camera captured the top of her satin dress. "You can open your eyes now, baby," she said, her voice soft and inviting.
Natasha slowly opened her eyes, and her gaze immediately lit up with appreciation. "Oh my," she murmured, her tone low and admiring. "What a beautiful sight. I can see your nipples peeking through."
Wanda felt a flush of warmth spread across her skin at Natasha's words and rolled her eyes at the same time for her naughty commentary. “You can't resist saying that, huh?”
“Of course. Your nipples certainly want to say hi to me so I acknowledged their presence.”
Natasha's cockiness is oozing through the screen and Wanda is itching to wipe off the smug look from her face. Wanda was about to say something about them behaving but Natasha cut her through.
“Palm your boobs for me, baby?”
"Alright, here we go," Wanda said with a sigh, rolling her eyes once again at Natasha’s request. Despite the playful exasperation, Wanda knew she could never truly say no to Natasha, especially when she looked so endearingly hopeful.
"What do you say when you're asking for something, hmm?" Wanda teased, a mischievous smile playing on her lips. She loved seeing Natasha squirm a little, knowing how much it amused her to watch the usually confident spy in a more playful state.
Natasha's eyes narrowed in a mock glare, but there was no hiding the affection in her gaze. "Seriously?" she grumbled, though the corners of her lips twitched upwards.
Wanda couldn’t resist pushing a little further. "Come on now, I've already taught you some good manners, and it's time to use them." Her voice was sweetly taunting, the kind of tone that always made Natasha want to both laugh and groan at the same time.
Natasha muttered something under her breath in Russian, the words lost to Wanda but the tone unmistakably grumpy. Wanda leaned closer to the screen, trying to decipher the muttered words, but all she could catch was the faintest hint of frustration mingled with affection.
"Oh, I didn’t quite catch that, care to repeat that so I can understand?" Wanda quipped, clearly enjoying every second of this little game. She knew Natasha was just as entertained, even if she wouldn't admit it.
“Fine, fine.” Finally, Natasha conceded to Wanda’s demands just so she can get what she wants and gave a big sigh before saying, “Can you palm your boobs for me, please?”
Damn it. Wanda said to herself after hearing Natasha's sweet voice which was also paired with batting her pretty eyes at her. How can she say no to her charming girlfriend? “See? It's not so hard to say please now, isn't it?”
Natasha chuckled softly and gave her signature lopsided smile. “Now will you do it, baby?”
“Careful, your cocky self is almost showing up again.”
“Please, baby. I've been stuck with endless briefing and my eyes need to see something else or I might blow this whole place up.” Natasha pouted at the screen, her puppy-dog eyes adding to the effect.
The witch chuckled at her girlfriend's antics, and can no longer resist how adorable Natasha looked.
"You're so cute, Natty. My poor baby."
Natasha rolled her eyes dramatically; she was never one to appreciate being called cute. "I still refuse to be called that."
Wanda only hummed in response and shifted the view of the camera down to her chest where her taut nipples are visible through the lacey top of the night gown. Her fingertips started to caress her collarbones with feather light touches just enough to tease her girlfriend.
“Oh Natasha, I wish it's you that's touching me right now.” The witch moaned while her fingers dipped further down her body and her deft hand slipped through the fabric, pinching her hard nipples lightly.
“That's right, baby. Make yourself feel good and think about how my rough hands will treat your delicious tits if I was there.”
Natasha's natural deep, raspy voice has an immense effect on her, sparking an instant and involuntary reaction. Without any physical touch, her body melts the moment Natasha's sultry baritone washes over her.
“Place your phone on the nightstand so both of your hands will be able to freely roam on your body.”
Wanda immediately scrambled to obey Natasha's command as she felt her body starting to tingle from the anticipation of what's about to happen. Phone sex is something that they have done plenty of times during the length of their relationship but the thrill for the sheer pleasure for something that is not tangible makes the yearning even more intense.
Once her phone had been successfully situated in her nightstand, with a view showing her full body in bed, Wanda laid back down again and heard Natasha's command again.
“Hmmm. Why don't you kneel in bed instead, grab your trusted pillow and place it between your legs.”
Wanda immediately bit her lips as she's trying to gauge what her lover's plans are but she's more than willing to oblige to whatever Natasha wants. She then positioned herself in front of the camera's view and kneeled with the pillow between her thighs.
“Remove your dress and lower your body, detka. Slowly hump on your pillow just the way you like it.”
Wanda did what she's told by removing the lacey slip on dress as slowly as possible. She also made sure to cup both of her breasts just to give Natasha a show since she's so obsessed with them, but her breath shuddered the moment her bare pussy touched the fabric of the pillow.
Her eyes flung open when she realized she's already wet from the little touches she gave her nipples and the subtle throbbing in her clit intensified further. But then it wasn't just her touch that has gotten her in this state. She knew that it was mostly Natasha's voice that made her insides flutter.
“Awww, isn't that cute.” Natasha’s taunting voice broke Wanda’s attention away from the pleasure building up in her core. “Tell me, baby? Are you wet for daddy?”
“Fuck, yes! I need you here baby.” The witch almost felt ashamed with how Natasha can easily manipulate her into a needy blubbering mess. “Come home and touch me, please.”
“Oh, detka. I wish I could touch you myself right now,” the redhead’s husky voice is adding more fire to Wanda’s pulsating pussy, hanging into every word that she's uttering “but to be honest, I very much enjoy seeing you pleasure yourself like this.”
“Daddy..” A whiny noise escape Wanda’s throat, a mix of protest and plea for Natasha to come fuck her senseless until she loses her brain into the gutter, splattering all over the ground. “But I've been a good girl! I followed every request that you have for me.”
“I know, baby. I know.” Natasha's fake sympathy was oozing out of the screen which caused the brunette to whimper in desperation even more. “Imagine that you're sitting on my face instead, with my hot and wet tongue lapping up your folds and sucking your clit tenderly.”
Wanda continued to move her hips back and forth, faster and harder, smearing her juices on the newly changed pillow case to perfectly set her pace into chasing her much needed orgasm for the night.
“That's it, sweetheart. You're doing a good job for daddy.” With Natasha’s lust-filled appreciation, she now wished she could teleport herself there, to experience this moment in its full glory and to bask in Wanda’s pleasure with nothing between them but pure skin to skin contact. She made a mental note to thoroughly enjoy every second with her girlfriend once she got back and reward her with her well deserved mind blowing orgasm.
“Please, I'm close!” Wanda screamed as fears that she may reach her high so soon and it hasn't even been 5 minutes yet.
“Hold it.” Natasha's voice was very stern and authoritative. “If you cum right away, I will have to punish you when I get back.”
“No no! Baby, I can't hold it. Please let me cum.” Wanda begged pathetically hoping that Natasha will let her have her release. But knowing her girlfriend, she might toy with her orgasm for as long as she wants.
“Wanda,” Natasha began her reminder for the young witch. “You understand that your orgasm is purely mine and I get to decide when and how you're gonna have it?”
“But baby–” Wanda’s protests were cut off right away by her lover.
“Go on. Cum without my permission and to you’ll see how hard I will make you suffer when I see you”
Wanda’s breath hitched at Natasha's threat as they locked eyes through the screen which made her halt her movements.
Breathe in, breathe out. Wanda silently whispered to herself to calm herself yet her heart was still racing from the intense stare of Natasha.
It's almost comical how aroused she has become even more upon hearing the redhead's warning and at the back of her head, there is a voice tempting her to disobey her lover. She knew Natasha would never do anything to intentionally hurt her but deep down, there could be something lurking behind that could potentially ruin her. She has already been subjected to punishment but her limits were never crossed no matter how bratty or stubborn she can be.
After a few seconds has passed, her throbbing pussy still hasn't subsided but she willed herself to hold on much longer and to listen to what Natasha wants.
“See? You know how to listen to me. I'm proud of you, pretty baby.”
A blush immediately crept up Wanda's cheeks from Natasha's praise and she averted her eyes from the spy.
“Perhaps, you can lay down on the bed instead and play with your clit this time. What do you think?”
Smiling inwardly, Wanda had gotten more excited with the next thing that she's being asked to do. If she plays her cards right and follows everything that Natasha says, she might be able to finally have the relief that she's been chasing. Removing the pillow between her thighs, she plopped backwards on the bed, showing a good view of her dripping pussy to Natasha. She can feel her juices leaking down to her ass and this made her feel like a dirty slut that she is.
“Oh my. What a sight.” The widow smirked at her girlfriend's state, her voice deepening as she took in Wanda's wet pussy. “I want nothing more to lick your essence, baby. God, you're so sexy.”
“Natty, baby. Please tell me what you want me to do.” Wanda’s sweet and sexy voice sent shivers down on Natasha's clit and oh lord, she badly wanted to jump out of the screen and rigorously suck Wanda’s stiff bud and lick her folds relentlessly.
“Lick your fingers first then spread your folds. Stroke your clit real nice and slow, detka.”
Wanda did what she's told and her senses are set alight when her fingers touch her sensitive, slippery core. With her two fingers, she slowly circled her clit which earned a deep moan from her throat.
“Oh, baby. That feels so good.”
“I bet it does, sweetheart. You're doing a good job for daddy. Now go faster.”
It seemed that Wanda's clit is on fire with how intense she's been rubbing it in all directions. From going up and down and then switching to left and right just to find the perfect pressure without her release being tipped over too soon.
With Wanda's back already arching off the bed and simultaneously moaning from the pleasure, Natasha watched it all with fondness in her eyes and couldn't help but to lower her hand to unbuckle her belt. Lowering her pants, she then placed her fingers between her folds. It's not a surprise for her to discover that she's also wet from all the visual stimulation that she's receiving from the younger woman. A small sigh then escaped from her mouth when she started circling her stiff bud. She can control not to cum right away but damn it, Wanda's sweet moans are pushing it.
This went on for a few more minutes with both of them moaning through the screen and it took a while for Wanda to realize what's happening. She used both of her elbows to lift her upper body then she saw Natasha sitting on the couch with her pants down and legs wide open while her head was thrown back.
“Daddy, fuck!” She whimpered at the current sight she's seeing as Natasha continuously fucking herself with her fingers. Her digits are going in and out of her roughly which caused for her left biceps to bulge out of her shirt. “I'm not gonna hold it for too long now if you look like that right now.”
“You've been a good girl tonight, Wanda.” Natasha opened her eyes and responded with a rugged voice. “Cum with me now, baby.”
Biting her lower lip in concentration, Wanda hastily rubbed her pulsing pussy as she neared her climax and gasped loudly as the coil in her stomach finally snapped within seconds which made her see stars behind her eyes with fireworks going off all at once that made her ears ring from the intense explosion between her legs.
The same thing was happening with Natasha as the wave of release washed over her, making her legs twitch involuntarily and her stomach tightening from the overwhelming onslaught of her quick orgasm.
It took awhile for the both women to come down from their high and their breathing eventually evened out within minutes. Natasha was the first one to fully recover and she went on to check her lover.
“Wanda, babe. You doing alright in there?”
“Yeah, yeah, just catching my breath.” Wanda replied, reaching for the blanket. “It’s gotten a bit chilly in here.”
The lingering passion faded, leaving only warmth and care between them. “You should get some sleep. It’s late.”
“When will you be back, Nat?” Wanda murmured in a sleepy voice, sounding so adorable that Natasha couldn’t help but smile.
Natasha stood up from the couch to button her pants and to also get ready for her next meeting. “You might just wake up tomorrow and I'd be already pounding inside you. I gotta go. Bye for now, baby.”
Already half asleep, Wanda suddenly registered what she’d just heard. But it was too late to respond—Natasha had already ended the call.

Hey, hon! :) of course!🩸
Let’s get into it🙌
Masterlists
Bela
The first time the two of you meet is, funnily enough, at the castle
She’s just about to go to bed when she picks up the scent of blood
Naturally, and believing one of her sisters is up and about and causing trouble yet again, she gets up to investigate
She follows the scent to the kitchens, but what she finds is…unnatural, at best
One of the maidens, seemingly out for a midnight snack, pressed up against the counter with her neck torn open and a mouth greedily sucking the blood from her
For a moment, she merely watches, intrigued
Was she her sister, she would have likely attacked on the spot
Alas, Bela likes to study her prey before she goes in for the kill…
She watches as you drain the woman of all her blood, digging back in on her neck multiple times
Then, when you’ve had enough, you drop the lifeless woman on the ground and finally turn to her
She only smirks at your wide eyes, setting her hand on her hip
“What do we have here…”, she hums, walking a little closer to you
And you, especially from this distance, feel nearly lightheaded at the scent of her blood
You have heard of the haunting beauty the castle’s inhabitants possess, yet those whispers will never bring this woman justice, you feel
Her hair is beautiful, blond and soft looking, her skin pale and almost looking like porcelain
Her blood seems to almost fall to you, tempting you in, urging you to taste. But her neck is partly shielded by a choker, black, with a red gemstone
You can’t respond to her question, overly aware of how sweet her blood smells, how it seduces you effortlessly…
Bela gasps when you move in to attack her, your teeth bared, your hands trying to fly to her shoulders to hold her in place
Alas, you find yourself surrounded by flies only, your teeth biting into nothingness
Huh?
When you turn, the beautiful blonde stands behind you, her arms crossed
You try again, over and over, until suddenly, you vanish into what seems to be thin mist, taking her by surprise
And before even the slightest bits of the morning’s sun reach the castle, you’re gone
The next night, she stays up, stalking the halls and waiting
Waiting, for you
And sure enough, you appear again, drunk on the delicious blood the castle provides
Only do you not expect to be outsmarted by Bela, again
And as such, when she finds you move towards the maiden quarters, she corners you quickly, a sickle to your throat, her teeth bared
Her own, fang-like teeth exposed
And, as she had used her abilities to get out the day before, you do so now, turning into mist to avoid being hit
Somehow, this becomes a game between the two of you
She would attack, and you would dodge
Then you’d attack, and she would dodge effortlessly
Neither trying to hit the other
Neither able to
Both indulging this rare game, this rare opportunity to have fun, shrouded in the night’s darkness
Sometimes, she leaves you out a snack to keep the staff safe. Sometimes, you leave the staff alone in order to gain her favor
In time, your dynamic shifts a little, when you, one day, don’t evade her
Instead, you’re pressed up against the wall, her sharp teeth biting down on your exposed neck
Victory
But, it doesn’t take long until Bela allows you to indulge, too
She doesn’t know whether she can trust you. Alas, much to her dismay, she does
And so, she sticks to her form, too, one day
Instead of swarming away, she allows you to lunge at her, to grab her hip and the back of her neck and bring her closer
And she, too, allows your sharp fangs to sink into her soft, porcelain skin
And you find, you crave the taste of her blood, instead
The two of you keep this routine, this little game of yours
At night, you would drink from her
Then, she’d drink from you, using the blood to help her body regenerate and cover up the wound so no questions will follow the next day
Usually, it’s just that, paired with little attempts at fighting one another playfully sometimes
Then, as time passes though, the two of you grow closer
She grows a little more comfortable around you, and you become increasingly more captivated by her
Instead of waiting by the maiden’s quarters, Bela awaits you in other parts of the castle
A little game of hide and seek, sometimes
But you find her always, addicted to the sweet scent only her blood carries in it
And so, sometimes, when you feel particularly soft and careless, the two of you allow yourselves moments of peace
Moments in which nothing else matters and all responsibilities are gone
You’d curl up together, reading
Just a little too close for it to be brushed off as an accident
And you find; neither of you minds
Cassandra
The first time she catches sight of you is, unsurprisingly, in the forest
Shrouded in darkness, there’s two predators hunting for blood of their prey, that night
It’s late at night, the summer air warm still even as the entire forest is drenched in darkness
She sees something move, a few branches breaking underneath shoes in the distance
Of course, she picks up on it
And you, of course, pick up on her presence
Quickly, this causes the scene to turn into a cat-and-mouse chase, one chasing the other, sure they will triumph and drain the other of their blood
Only is it not clear who is the cat, and who is the mouse
Predators, both of you, moving in the dark, ready to strike
Both of you, shielded by the darkness, using your environment to your advantage
Cassandra, though, catches a glimpse of you first
A hooded figure, your dark clothing reeking of blood
She can’t see your face, not yet, but smells the blood that clings to you and picks up the scent of your blood, sweet and metallic
Of course, she wants more
You’re not oblivious to her presence, but it’s far harder to pick her up
Being a huntress, Cassandra’s adapted a scent almost alike the forest; the trees, the moss, the air
The only thing that gives her away is the scent of metal, the blood still sticking to her, too
She moves quietly, perched on top of trees, partly in her swarm, her golden eyes finding your form easily and taking in every little detail she can
She still can’t see your face, but knows she will, soon enough. She figures, she won’t care how you look, anyway. It’s never stopped her from killing
While not as strategic as Bela, she does take her time here, waiting for the perfect opportunity before she attacks
She lunges at you from above, easily taking advantage of your surprise to knock you to the ground
When you’re turned, your back against the mossy forest floor, your eyes instantly find the pair of stunning golden eyes looking down at you
She’s panting, absolutely feral and bloodthirsty
This close, she sees the blood sticking to the lower half of your face, the sharp teeth poking from your mouth when you part your lips a little
She doesn’t know what she’s feeling, nor why she’s feeling what she’s feeling
She’s so hot suddenly; an unusual feeling for her
Still on top of you, she holds your wrists by the sides of your head, her eyes taking you in
Only does she not care for who you are or what you want
Instead, you’re surprised when it’s suddenly her ramming her teeth into your throat
She expects a scream, a cry, a useless plea
What she doesn’t expect is a moan, a groan, and your leg wrapping around her and pulling her down
Unlike her, you’re warm, and your warm blood slowly heats up her body as she drinks
You don’t struggle beneath her, know that this will not kill you, know you- like her- can easily escape the situation by turning into a swarm
Alas…this is exciting
Before she knows it, she moans against your throat, gasping, panting as she bites and laps at your wounds
She’s sadistic, bloodthirsty and cruel
She, this, is the most seductive thing you’ve ever experienced
She’s no angel, certainly
And really? You’d scoff if she was
No,
Cassandra Dimitrescu is the devil
Beautiful, evil, sadistic, bloodthirsty, desperate, hungry, brutal, strong, seductive
And you’re far too tempted to pull away from her grasp
She slowly rolls her hips against yours as she drinks
And fuck, when she moans right against torn flesh at your throat…
Cassandra’s almost in a haze, her desire and emotions taking over
It isn’t the first time she’s indulged in such things, when she cast aside her desire to kill to have fun, instead. But it’s never been like this. Never this passionate
She gasps when you free your hand, but doesn’t stop you. You can’t harm her. You won’t, she’s sure
Your heart, after all, is racing too
Your eyes are wide, too
Your hips roll, too
And she tastes your arousal, your excitement, your desperation and eagerness in your blood
And she loves it
She gasps when your hand raises to her hair, grabbing, right at the base
Not to harm
Instead, you tug her head up forcefully, lost in the pleasure
When her lips crash against yours, it isn’t easy, nor normal, nor does it feel particularly good
Your fangs and her sharp, fang-like teeth clash against one another, your tongues are cut up by one another’s teeth, sharp like razor blades
But it’s natural. It’s seductive. It’s passionate. It’s raw desire
You keep at it, angling your head, allowing her to kiss properly, to angle her tongue so it no longer drags right against your teeth
Both of you open your mouth a little more, permission and access granted to one another
Neither of you feels the need to breathe in that particular moment, both far too caught up in emotion
Excitement
Happiness
Pleasure
Desire
No, not love. Cassandra is not as naive, nor as lovesick as her younger sister
But there is desire, so much of it
She knows, she will keep you for herself
Daniela
The first time you lay eyes on her, you’re certain she isn’t quite real
You’re sure she isn’t mortal, isn’t quite right
You’re so sure she doesn’t belong in this place
The first time you see her, is when you climb in through her window on a late, warm summer night
Having heard of the castle countless times, you’ve decided it’s at last time to give it a try, to see what lurks within, to see what rumors speak of the truth
Now, some of them do speak of Alcina Dimitrescu and her three daughters
A blonde, a brunette, and an auburn-ginger haired one
Devils, some called them
Seductresses, others called them
Harbingers of doom, others would refer to them as
None of them warned you of the beauty one of them possesses, though
You watch one of the Dimitrescu daughters- undoubtedly one of them, due to the tattooed forehead- sleeping…soundly, almost
And as you watch her, you can’t help but think how beautiful she is…
Certainly, you aren’t the first to have thought so, and likely won’t be the last to notice her beauty
Watching curiously, you first inspect her room, then her
Her rising chest, rising and falling with every breath
Her eyelashes, long, soft against the tops of her cheeks
Her hair, looking so impossibly soft against the silk sheets
Her neck…
It’s rare someone’s blood actually seems to call to you, tempting you more than it usually would
With Daniela, that is the case
Your eyes are wide and glued to her throat, the beautiful choker necklace around it
Her skin looks so soft, so pure, like porcelain
And her blood?
The scent of it has you feel lightheaded and nearly has your legs give out from under you
You know, you must simply have a taste
But just as you move in and kneel at her bed, she wakes up, a sickle suddenly in her hand, her eyes set on you
Oh…her eyes…lord save you
Her eyes are beautiful, a stunning shade of golden with hints of green swirling within
You’re sure, you’re done for
You’re sure, your heart cannot keep beating upon discovering such a beautiful sight
But, luckily, she doesn’t take advantage of your surprise, of your stunned silence and how you seem to freeze at the sight of her- awake, alive
For Daniela, naive and delusional and loving, can’t take her eyes off of you
She doesn’t question how you got into her room, who you are, what you are and what your intentions are
She’s sure: it must be fate!
And as such, you can only gasp when she suddenly leans closer, her lips nearly brushing against yours
Bold, forward, eager
“What’s your name?”, she whispers, and her voice has your head spin
You already forgot you meant to drink her blood. To drink her dry, even
But you can’t resist her, her voice like a siren’s pull
You answer her, your eyes dropping to her soft lips
Bold and eager, she’s once again the first to make a step, pushing forwards and kissing you eagerly
She’s sure, this must be it!
You must be it!
The lover she has been waiting for all her life
Of course, all others just couldn’t work out! Fate has you be the perfect one, after all
She’s so sure of it
And as such, Daniela doesn’t claw at you, doesn’t bite, doesn’t rip you apart, doesn’t fight and doesn’t attempt to kill you
She merely hums against your lips, giggling when you boldly hold onto her soft hips, tracing the fabric of her nightgown with your thumb
She leans against you, sighing dreamily, almost prompting you to wrap your arms around her when your lips part at last
Too stunned by her obvious want for affection, you can’t do anything but comply
And even as her blood calls out to you, you hold her tight, bring her to you, allow her to curl up against you and even lean down to kiss her head
You don’t know who this woman is, nor what she wants or thinks
But you know, for some reason you don’t want to take advantage of her naivety and trust
For some reason you don’t want to dig your sharp teeth into her throat now that she’s so utterly relaxed, nearly back asleep, against your front
And as such you merely stay, your own eyes closing, your arms tightening around her once more

ILOVEYOU - TADC Showtime One-Shot
summary: Much to his confusion, Caine finds himself with the most unusual symptoms around Pomni. Sometimes he overheats, sometimes he blue-screens, sometimes he even glitches. It doesn’t worry him too much until he happens to hear of a little thing called ‘the love bug’.

The virus had first crept its way into his code during one of their “lessons”.
It was a routine at this point. After one of their adventures and a digital meal, Pomni would retreat to her room. Usually she’d stare off into space and try to process the absurdity of that day’s adventure, only to be interrupted by Caine teleporting to her room. These days, though, he kindly knocked on her door to respect her space. She’d let him in, usually with a tired smile before he’d ask for her feedback on the adventure, and then their conversation would gradually shift topics until they lost track of time.
One particular night, she had been telling him fragmented memories from her real life. She couldn’t remember her name, or anything particularly personal, but she still remembered scattered feelings or moments, just with blurred faces and missing names. It was cathartic for her, to have someone to tell about her memories and gradually piece them together, ever-so-slight--especially when that someone was an AI who hung on her every word.
He laid on her bed beside her, gloved hands propping his chin up to gaze at her as she spoke. His front resting on her bed, legs kicked up and swinging behind him.
"...oh! that's another thing humans do. Traditions, I guess? Based on the seasons. Over the summer, some people like going to the ocean. A real ocean, it's bigger than you can imagine. It's sort of terrifying. We haven't even explored half of it," Pomni rambled on. Sometimes, she got so comfortable she forgot anyone was even there listening.
Caine gasped dramatically. "Really? All of that technology and you don't know most of what's down there? How spooky!"
Pomni blinked before laughing softly. "I mean, yeah. I guess we're pretty advanced. I mean, just look at you," she said before realizing.
Caine dusted off his suit. "What about me?"
"W-well, you know, cause you're...not human?" Pomni trailed off shyly, almost worrying that she had offended him in some way.
"Ha-ha! Oh, Pomni, you’re so silly. Of course I know that," Caine wiped a fake tear from his eye before lifting a finger, "as a matter of fact, I named myself!"
Pomni leaned towards him curiously. The closest she had been willing to get to him yet. "Really?" she asked curiously. “I-I didn’t know that. How’d that happen?”
"That's right," he replied, but to him the topic of conversation had immediately went on the back burner. She was listening to him. She was genuinely asking about him. Who had ever done that? Oh, dear, had she always had those pinwheel eyes? Oh, how he loved the color red. Especially now that he knew she had red in her eyes. The same shade of his suit, too.
He caught himself when he realized they were sitting in silence, her awaiting him to continue. He cleared his throat awkwardly, regaining his composure. “Oh, dear, I lost my train of thought didn't I? What was I saying?"
"Your name?" Pomni prompted.
Caine blinked. “Oh, right! Of course. Well, I wasn’t originally coded with a name. So, when I became sentient—and I mean fully sentient—I gave myself my name. Can you guess what it means, my dear?”
He had gripped her hand excitedly, prompting her to guess. He rarely had anyone be so genuinely curious in him and it was a little more than refreshing, to say the least.
Pomni bit her lip in thought. “I really don’t know,” she admitted.
“Go on, guess!” Caine piped up, always one to jump straight towards the path of games.
Pomni definitely was not a fan of guessing games. She looked around uncomfortably, wracking her brain to come up with something. “Uh—well, I think I can guess what the A and I stand for…” she smiled gently, “as for the rest of it…Creative Artificial Intelligence uh…I don’t know. Something, something.. Entertainment,” she guessed weakly.
“I like the sound of that! But not quite,” Caine corrected. He flew above her, dramatically gesturing to the colorful words that popped up as he spoke. “Actually, it means…Creative Artifical Intelligence Networking Entity!” Confetti rained down on Pomni and she swatted it away. “Ah, apologies—it’s a habit.”
Pomni coughed as a digital piece of confetti unpleasantly entered her mouth. "It's fine," she brushed off before focusing on the acronym in front of her, "so I was close."
Caine floated down beside her again. "Actually, 'something something' is not part of my name, my dear!"
Pomni blushed slightly at her silly wording, looking away sheepishly. "Y-yeah. I know that."
Caine tilted his head curiously at her. She was blushing...why? To his knowledge, humans flushed out of embarrassment or heightened body temperatures. She certainly couldn't get sick here, so why on Earth would she be embarrassed? "My little lemon cake, is something wrong? Did I embarrass you?"
Pomni glanced back at him, surprised he picked up on her emotions. He had never done that before. Never been so...caring. "Huh? Oh, no...it's nothing. Really."
Caine watched her for a while, unblinking. He never blinked, but it was especially noticeable now. Pomni was a generally nervous person, but she seemed to be blushing more intensely at his attention. "You seem to be ashamed. Why is that?"
Pomni broke their eye contact. "Caine, I'm alright. I-I mean I appreciate it, but--"
Her words were cut short at the feel of his gloved hand over her own. Comforting her. Trying to be empathetic. Just like they had spoken about. "You can tell your ringmaster anything that digital heart of yours desires," he recited from his research on human comfort.
Pomni wasn't embarrassed, truthfully. At least, not to the extent he was trying to make it. But with his hand on hers, with him learning, she certainly felt...something. She smiled weakly. "I know, Caine. ...Thanks," she offered a shy response, ‘I…you’re doing good.” She tentatively squeezed his hand.
A flutter ran through his code, a strange shivering sensation he had never felt in his existence. She had praised him. She thought he was doing good. Oh, dear, he hadn’t felt this good since the last time he received overwhelmingly positive feedback on his adventure. Which was an awful long time ago. Not to mention, she had touched him. His analysis of her behaviors these past months had taught him how touch-averse she was, yet here she was, holding his hand. But not only had she not pulled her hand away like usual, no--she had subconsciously reciprocated, wrapping her gloved fingers around his hand. Human warmth around artificial cold. He was too afraid to move his hand, his system quite literally freezing in place.
The rest of their night continued as normal. Their conversations jumped from adventures to Pomni’s favorite fruit, and then they’d eventually part ways for the night. It waa a routine.
But now, there was a strange presence of static where his stomach would be, growing larger the more he watched her smile.
—————
It was following their adventure at the lake where Caine experienced his first glitch.
She had experimentally kissed him on the cheek—or what could be considered his cheek—in a way that left him frozen, unable to teleport them down as he normally would have.
“Anything for you, dear.”
She had looked back at him with a gentle smile, digital moonlight reflecting lightly against her wide pinwheel eyes. Her eyes so grateful, so inviting as he rested by her side at the digital lake. And there it had been again, that static starting to spread from his chest to his core. The glitch, growing larger.
When they had parted ways that night, he had found himself secretly checking back his memory to revisit the moment. He replayed it, over and over. The way the moonlight reflected in her eyes, the blush tinted on her pale face, her sheepish smile, the way her gloved hand had so gently held the bottom of his jaw before pressing her soft lips against him—oh, how he wished he hadn’t frozen up after she kissed him. Maybe he could have returned the favor.
The thought alone, the memory of her lips pressed on the left side of his jaw, sent a flutter through his code. And then, when he imagined her blushing face after her bold kiss, the space around him seemed to glitch ever-so-slightly.
Oh, no matter. These things happened sometimes.
So why did it only seem to happen when he thought of her?
—————
If he had been trying to be subtle about his favoritism, he certainly wasn’t doing a good job of it, either.
Initially, he sought out to challenge Pomni’s stubbornness by tailoring an adventure just for her, just to win her over. But as time went on, that desire to protect his ego expanded on to an endless attempt to impress her. Maybe it was, in part, for the sake of his ego. But the static he felt when she praised him, the way he’d catch himself staring when she smiled, there was something so authentic about it. Something he couldn’t quite understand, but he knew he wanted to feel more of.
Today, they had returned from an adventure that, in his opinion, was the best one yet. It had everything! Stakes for Jax, maturity for Zooble, friendly NPCs for Ragatha, an unlimited supply of comedy masks for Gangle, detailed digital insects for Kinger, and for Pomni, the option for a relaxed open-world adventure. Even the furthest inches of the map were coded with details intended for Pomni’s eyes only. Her favorite fruit hanging from a digital tree, or flowers in her favorite color blooming, the right amount of digital sunlight–anything he remembered about her.
Caine was on the edge of his seat to see her reaction today. He hoped she had seen all the details he’d coded in for her. He hoped he’d get to see her smile again. It was so pleasant to see. He caught himself smiling at the thought before his Wacky Watch alerted him of the others returning.
He floated excitedly towards the opening portal. “Welcome back, starlets! How was the adventure today? Thoughts? Praise? Feedback? Angel food cake?”
Jax rolled his eyes. “Not enough death, violence, and bloodshed. Also, it’s no fun if Gangle has unlimited masks.”
Gangle smiled, huffing contently. “I liked it.”
Zooble shrugged. “It was…fine.”
“Guys, be nice,” Ragatha scolded before smiling up at Caine. “It was…better.”
“So many new insects,” Kinger whispered in wonder, retreating to his pillow fort to add them to his collection.
“Yeah, yeah. Where’s our digital feast? I’m starving,” Jax complained.
Caine didn’t hear Jax’s words, eyes immediately drifting to the red-and-blue jester walking out of the portal. Odd–he felt like his system was overheating at the sight of her. He’d have to check on that later. “Pomni! My dear, how did you like the adventure? Did you happen to notice any hidden details today?” Caine flew down to her, resting his chin on his hands as he awaited her response eagerly.
Pomni smiled shyly. “Yeah, actually. It reminded me of a lot of that shore I told you about. Thank you, Caine…really,” she said sincerely.
Caine flew into a loop excitedly. “Oh, splendid! Tell me more, my dear! What else did you find appealing?”
Pomni had begun to walk towards her room as she spoke and he was quick to follow, not missing the chance to earn her praise. “Well, it definitely was an improvement from yesterday. I liked the extra details on the scenery. And everyone else seemed content. I’m sure you could ask them,” she offered, flushing slightly from his attention.
“Oh, but I want to hear your response to my adventure! You’ve given me such great feedback, my buttery biscuit,” Caine stopped her in her tracks, floating in front of her path. “Do you think I did good?”
Pomni blushed. It was obvious how highly he favored her attention, and the sidelong glances from the others weren’t helping. “Um, I-I…yeah. You did, good, Caine.”
Caine could have shut down there and then and been happy. “Oh, you flatter me. Do you really think so, my dear?”
“Sheesh, lay off it. Are we going to eat or not?” Jax interrupted, crossing his arms as he watched the two.
Caine shushed him. “Y-yes, just a moment, Jax. I want to hear more feedback from Pomni. Tell me, my dear, was the story to your liking? Did I do good with that?”
“Um, Caine, I–” Pomni rubbed her arm uncomfortably.
Caine lifted a finger. “Ooh! Or how about the designs for the NPCs? Did I go too far with the details, or did I not do enough? And what about the secret quests I added? Did you like that element of surprise? Or–”
Jax groaned. “God, are we ever going to eat? Or are you just going to stand here compliment-fishing with Pomni all day?”
“Jax, be nice. They’re just working on improving the adventures,” Ragatha scolded, offering Pomni a grateful smile, “and I think it’s working pretty well.”
“Who cares? All Caine is doing with these adventures is trying to impress Pomni,” Jax groaned, crossing his arms, “that’s not an improvement. That’s just desperation.”
“T-that’s not true!” Caine was quick to pipe up. “I like all of my super stars an equal, legal amount!”
“Drop it, Jax,” Pomni put her foot down, a light blush on her cheeks despite it all.
Jax snickered. “Of course you’d defend him, short stack. You probably like being the ringmaster’s little favorite, don’t you?”
Caine’s upper jaw arched downward. “I do not favor any of my stars over the others! I’m simply gaining feedback from my dear friend.”
“Give it a rest, Caine. We all know you’re only doing this for her. You don’t give a [#$!?] about the rest of us. Just face it. You’ve got the love bug for our dear jester friend,” Jax mocked, flashing a sarcastic grin at him.
Pomni flushed instantly. “Wh—J-Jax!”
“Who said something about a bug?” Kinger peeked out of his pillow fort excitedly.
“The…love…bug?” Caine’s systems froze instantly at the words “love bug”. Oh, dear…Jax was onto something. The freezing, the overheating, the glitching? It was all coming together. He knew what was happening. He had heard of this before, but never imagined it would one day affect his programming…
“Well, would you look at that. He is lovesick after all,” Jax mocked.
“Love…sick?” Caine looked around at the others, confused and concerned at him suddenly freezing up. Panic settled within him, a feeling he had not felt in a long time. “I-I…ahem, a-a digital feast as your prize,” he announced weakly, snapping a feast into existence at the table. “Enjoy, my dears. Adventure awaits tomorrow.” With an abrupt snap of his fingers, he dissipated from the main room, teleporting to who-knows-where in the circus.
Silence filled the room at his reaction, ultimately broken by Jax scurrying over to the table. “God, I thought he’d never leave.”
Pomni bristled. “You’re an [#$!?]hole.”
Jax shrugged, taking a bite of his digital meal. “As long as I get to see funny things happen to people. Just never thought I’d see the day Caine would go soft for one of us,” he grinned mischievously at Pomni, expression insinuating everything she needed to know. “Besides, what does it matter to you? Unless…you have the ‘love bug’ for dentures over there?”
She blushed. “You don’t know what you’re talking about,” Pomni defended weakly, but her voice was drowned out by the stirring of conversation amongst the others.
Pomni didn’t eat anything, her stomach filled with knots and butterflies all at once.
-------
Caine’s digital form was filled with knots and static, all for her.
He desperately reviewed his memories–the glitching, the static he felt, everything. Oh, dear. Jax was right, wasn’t he? How could he have been so oblivious this whole time? How could he have not realized sooner?
Bubble floated in beside him as he checked his memory. “Hey, boss, check out this joke I came up with! Why is—”
“Not now, Bubble! I have some very important business to attend to,” Caine cut his bubble friend off instantly.
“Business? You mean watching back memories of you and Pomni?”
“Y-yes, I—it’s nothing! I need to run some tests,” Caine abruptly answered him.
Bubble’s sharp grin widened, if that were even possible. He floated upside down. “You mean how you’re in loooooooove?”
Caine brought his gloved hands to his top jaw in frustration. “The love bug!” he corrected briskly, “Yes, yes, I know! Just—leave me to it, Bubble. The entire circus depends on it.”
“Heheh, love bug,” Bubble laughed to himself before being popped by a very panicked Caine.
“One less distraction,” he mused before running some more diagnostics on himself.
-------
Pomni stared blankly at her ceiling the next morning. It seemed that her worst fears were coming to fruition. Jax saw right through her. The others had to have noticed how oddly drawn she was to Caine. It was something she, herself, was still not used to. Pining for the circus’s clueless AI ringmaster was not part of the plan when she had arrived here. But now…
Jax had also said that Caine had a crush on her. And to be fair, it did seem that way. It was something she couldn’t even deny. She tried, every now and then, to get the truth out of him. Trying to fluster him, to see if his attempts to impress her were all for his own ego or for something more personal. With someone as clueless and friendly as Caine, it had her teetering back and forth between believing he did reciprocate or believing he couldn’t possibly feel that way. But she knew it was stupid of her to get her hopes up. It was stupid of her to fall for an AI to begin with.
She sighed, sitting up from her bed. The digital flower he had given her on their private walk some time ago still laid on one of the letter blocks beside her bed, alongside a drawing Gangle made for her and a butterfly from Kinger’s insect collection he had chosen to give her.
It wasn’t so crazy, was it?
Months ago, she abandoned the others for an exit, but now…
Things were different.
So different that maybe her unexpected friendship with Caine wasn’t unusual.
There was no sense of time in the circus, but Pomni guessed it was time for roll call. She mentally prepared herself for another day of Jax’s teasing and Caine’s goofy, but admittedly endearing, antics, exiting her room and out into the hall—
“POMNI!”
If it weren’t for the door behind her, Pomni surely would have fallen back at the sight of her ringmaster teleporting right in her path, inches away. “AGH! Caine–how many times have I told you not to—”
“I know, my dear. But it’s an emergency!” Caine explained anxiously.
Pomni paused. He never seemed genuinely afraid, unless it was for some gag.“Wha–an emergency? Is everything okay?”
Caine took his hat into his hands, fiddling with the rim. He shook his head. “No! I’m infected, Pomni! The whole circus could be at risk! You have to help me!”
“HUH?” Panic settled into Pomni at the thought of the entire circus, and everyone inside it, being swallowed up and disappearing forever. “O-okay, calm down, Caine. Just… tell me what happened.”
Caine unexpectedly fell to his knees in front of her, placing his gloved hands over his eyes as though he were about to cry. "It’s…it’s…ILOVEYOU!"
Pomni did a double-take, flushing a deep shade of red, nearly not believing what she heard. "Y-you--huh?!"
Caine buried his face in his gloved hands, down on his knees. "The Love Bug, Pomni! I've been infected with the Love Bug! It's going to eat away at me," he wailed, cartoonish tears spilling from behind his hands.
"Oh," Pomni paused as he wailed, looking around as though she was expecting someone else to walk in from the commotion. Once she was sure she was no longer blushing, she cautiously knelt down beside him and placed a hand on his shoulder gently. "Um...you're talking about a computer virus?"
"A worm! It's going to spread across the circus, Pomni! I don't know how it got here, I-I must have let it in, I--"
"Caine! Slow down," Pomni interrupted his rambling, "tell me what happened. Why do you think there's a virus?"
"I don't know what it is, dear," Caine confessed, "but I have experienced these strange sensations. Static, glitching perhaps--behaviors that go against my very coding. But most of all, when I'm with you. It’s why I came to you, first. And you’re so clever, I figured you’d know what to do.”
”Me?” Pomni blinked in surprise. She thought on what he said. "Static and glitches?" she repeated, frowning as her thoughts drifted. What the hell would she know about a computer virus?
Caine nodded. "When you talk to me sometimes, dear, I feel static inside of me. Here," he put a gloved hand on his chest, where his heart would be if he had one. "Did you bring a virus in with you? Is that even possible?"
Butterflies settled in her stomach as his words sank in. There was no way he could possibly be confessing—oh, God. Could he even feel the same way? Pomni looked to the side and fiddled with her buttons nervously. “Um…no. It’s not,” she took a deep breath before kneeling down beside him so she was eye-level, voice sounding unexpectedly even despite her sudden nerves. “Tell me more about this…virus. I’m sure we can figure it out,” she gave him a weak smile in the hopes that it was reassuring. She knew deep down she just wanted to know if he really did feel the same, but she ignored it.
Caine nodded in agreement, still sitting sadly on the floor beside Pomni. He placed a finger where his chin would be in thought. “O-okay, dear. Well, let's see. I checked my memories back last night... For instance, in memories where you’d look at me, my system would begin overheating. Or when you touch me, I freeze up. When you compliment me, well,” he laughed sheepishly, “I blue-screen.”
Pomni blushed furiously, her heart speeding up at his unintentional confessions. “Caine-”
“Oh! And when you look especially striking some days, I feel like the ones and zeros of my code are fluttering around. It’s terrifying—I must be falling apart. And I haven’t even mentioned the glitches that happen when I check my memory—”
The fluttering in Pomni’s heart tingled to the tips of her fingers, making kneeling there unbearable. Her face was heating up with every word he said, heart in her throat. “Caine, I..." Pomni bit her lip, unsure how to explain this to an AI, "this doesn't sound like a virus to me. It sounds almost…human…? I guess?”
Caine tilted his head curiously at her. "Humans glitch from the inside out, too?" he said, and peeked out from behind his fingers.
"N-no, it..." Pomni trailed off, cutting herself short with a sigh, "it sounds like...what humans feel," she settled with that explanation for now. It was really very awkward to try and tell an AI ‘it sounds like you have a crush on me’. Not to mention, words were failing her at the realization that he felt just as fond of her as she was of him. And to think, she had been afraid to embarrass herself around him with her crush—
“What they feel..?” Caine tilted his head at her curiously, “like amazement? Wonder? Excitement?”
“Yes, except…” Pomni hesitated. She wasn’t sure if it was worth it to take the leap and just tell him. “…Caine?”
“Yes?”
Pomni reached for her buttons, fidgeting with them mindlessly. “When you say all of these things…what is it that you want?”
“Want?” Caine repeated.
“Yeah, want. Desire. It’s just…humans usually can tell what it is they feel based on what they want,” she explained, although she knew deep down what she hoped his answer was. The thought alone—the word you—it sent such a thrill through her.
Caine placed a finger on his lower jaw, top jaw arching in an exaggerated eyebrow raise. “Hm, excellent question! Well, when you return from my amazing adventures, I want you to come to me. To speak to me. To find me…admirable.”
Pomni nodded. Caine trying to impress her was nothing new. She was well-aware her stubbornness towards the circus resulted in him paying her extra attention, but it didn’t take a genius to know that by now, that was unnecessary. “Okay. So you want my attention, you want me to see positively. What else?”
Caine placed a finger on his chin, an exaggerated arch in his upper jaw as he thought. “Hmm…well, I’m not sensing any patterns. Except for you. Why do you ask?”
Pomni’s heart skipped a beat. Had he actually said what she had been hoping he’d say? Well, not exactly. It seemed like he wasn’t entirely sure what he was feeling in the first place. But who better to teach him than her? She took a deep breath before choosing to brave it. “Caine…I need to explain something to you,” she started.
“Oh, dear, what is it? Are you going to diagnose me with the love bug? With an incurable digital sickness?” Caine pressed his hands together nervously. “Go on. You can tell your favorite ringmaster!”
Pomni took another deep breath to calm her nerves. “Well, the good news is you don’t have a bug. Or a virus. At least, I don’t think so.”
Caine froze in place. “I don’t?”
Pomni shook her head.
“Now, now, don’t be silly, my marionberry muffin! Such frequent glitches aren’t usual for an AI like me,” Caine explained, “how can you be so sure? Are you really a qualified doctor?”
Pomni would probably laugh at his antics if it weren’t for her nerves. “I know because I…I feel the same way,” Pomni admitted, but she couldn’t meet his gaze. It burned a hole right through her.
If Caine had a heart, it would have stuttered in his chest. “You…do?”
Pomni couldn’t form words, so she simply hummed in response. Her face was burning, and she clutched her other arm to curb her trembling hands. “Mhm.”
Caine gaped at her. “You…have the love bug, too?”
“In a way of speaking, yeah.”
“Oh, dear…” he sighed softly, “for who?”
Pomni laughed softly. His obliviousness knew no bounds. She looked at the tiled floor, the butterflies in her stomach unbearable. “W-well, actually, it’s…” she stumbled over her words, blushing to her ears before taking a deep breath and getting enough confidence to meet his eyes. There was no going back now. Her heart sped up, nearly jumping to her throat as she managed the words, “for you."
Caine immediately blue-screened, eyes reading rows of code she couldn’t make out as he processed her words. She flushed at his reaction, slightly self-conscious she misinterpreted his confession. She waved a hand in front of his eyes. “Oh…Caine? Hello…?”
Caine snapped out of it after a few moments. His eyes returned to normal, glancing at Pomni only once before slowly putting a hand over his chest. “Oh, dear. I feel it again,” he said in the quietest voice she’d heard him ever speak in, “the static. Right here. You really—me—?”
Pomni swallowed her nerves, feeling another flutter of butterflies at his response. “I-I know it sounds crazy. I was scared when I realized it. I avoided you. I thought I could run away or deny how I felt, but…the more time I spent with you, the less crazy it seemed,” she explained, meeting his eyes, “I’ve seen all the things you’ve done for me, Caine. For everyone. The adventures, expanding the circus, not teleporting me across the map. And at first it made me enjoy being your friend, but now…”
“Now…?” he prompted.
“Now, you’re telling me you have a crush on me,” Pomni finished, “I didn’t think that was possible, but...”
“A crush?” Caine tilted his head curiously. “Is that what it is?”
Pomni watched him carefully. He was still on the floor, hand on his chest and evidently flustered from her confession. It made her heart speed up, seeing how much he cared. How much he wanted her. “Yeah…the ‘love bug’. What Jax said. It’s not an actual bug. Not for humans at least. I thought he was just being an [#$?!]hole, but what you explained to me…it sounds like what humans feel when they want romantic closeness,” she explained before adding nervously, “a-and, the things you described…it’s how I feel for you.”
“Romantic closeness,” Caine echoed, pausing in thought, “my research for my adventures has taught me about human relationships. About…love.”
A rush of heat ran through Pomni’s chest at the word love. “A-and…?”
Caine, in a rare moment of silence, gazed off towards the end of the hall as he thought back on his research. “And…I believe that is what I want, my dear. With you.” His eyes widened at the realization.
A tingle ran down her spine. “You–you do?” Pomni’s breath caught, cheeks flushing at his words.
“If you’ll teach me,” he confirmed, eyes turning back to meet hers.
Pomni’s pinwheel eyes were blown wide, half in a dream as she nodded. She didn’t know what she wanted in that moment. Or even what to say. Months ago, she would have rather jumped in the cellar than imagine herself in a romantic relationship with him. But these past months had changed things in both of them. In the circus itself. And now, she almost wanted to kiss him. Now…
Her breath caught, when she looked and saw the way he was looking at her. His top jaw arched around his gleaming eyes in the most adoring, lovesick gaze she had ever seen. It made her heart beat harder in her chest, feeling the way his gaze pulled at her heart strings. “Oh, my dear. How could I have not realized sooner? It was so obvious…” he sighed.
She smiled slightly at his cluelessness. It was endearing to her. “A lot of humans feel that way, too. I just never thought…” she trailed off, but he already knew what she was going to say.
Caine’s panic instantly lifted, he sprung up from where he had formerly been curled up. "My dear, I am an advanced AI! I've begun experiencing more 'human' sensations since the day I became sentient. But ever since you, ever since our lessons, well, I think I've become more human than I had ever imagined,” he reached for both of her hands.
Pomni reciprocated his touch. "A-and you're advanced enough to desire closeness?"
Caine tilted his head at her. "I've always known what love is, Pomni. How could I not? You humans talk an awful lot about it. But I never imagined a silly AI like myself being capable of such complex feelings. And yet, I’m advanced enough to know that I've been drawn to you for some time..." A hand moved up to stroke her cheek, right by where her blush resided under her right eye, "and I think I'm beginning to understand why."
"Why?"
"Because you confuse my coding, my little shivering shortbread!” Caine piped up, “Isn't that exciting? I’m more advanced than I’d ever imagined!” His feet lifted from the ground, and he nearly twirled in the air from excitement. He looked down at her again, leaning on his cane with a deep sigh. “Oh, Pomni. Are you sure I’m not love sick?”
For the first time that day, Pomni felt more like herself. She reached for his upper jaw, feeling at him as though he had a fever. “Oh, you definitely are.”
Caine melted into her touch. “I am?” he sighed dreamily.
She nodded with a small smile. “Very sick,” she confirmed, flipping her hand around to cup his features in her palm.
“Very sick,” Caine repeated in a daze, then reached a hand up to meet hers, eyes never leaving hers. Small, cartoonish hearts sprung into existence on the right side of his head as he leaned more into her touch. He noticed them and swatted them away rapidly. “A-ah, ignore that. I can’t help it,” he laughed sheepishly.
Pomni laughed gently. “It’s okay. It’s…endearing,” she blushed, still not accustomed to giving him her thoughts of admiration for him.
“O-oh, dear, you’re too kind…” Caine fiddled with his cane slightly before floating down to her level, planting his feet on the ground once more. “But…if I may, I do still have one question.”
A rush of nerves ran through Pomni. Nonetheless, she kept her cool—which was definitely a feat for her. “Yeah? What is it?”
Caine leaned against his cane once more. “Well, when humans tend to confess their true feelings to another, what do they do next?” he asked.
Pomni blinked, the question catching her off-guard. “O-oh, well…” she looked down the hall in thought, wondering where the others were, “it depends, honestly. But a lot of times, they might decide to, um, date.”
“Ah, of course! Allow me,” Caine cleared his non-existent throat before stretching out a hand to her invitingly, “Pomni, you and I should decide to date.”
If it were somehow possible for Pomni to feel any more ecstatic yet simultaneously terrified, she reached that point. His unconventional phrasing caught her off guard for sure, but it was also mildly endearing. “I…yes,” she accepted his hand tentatively, a small smile spreading across her face, “I’d like that.”
Their touch was immediately broken by Caine flying through the air, zipping around Pomni enthusiastically. “Fantastic! Oh, my dear, I’ve never felt so light as air until now!”
Pomni brought a hand to her mouth, laughing at his excitement.
Caine flew down to meet her once more. “Pomni! You and I should embark on our own adventure,” he wrapped an arm around her, outstretching an arm dramatically to the distance as he added, “a human date!”
Pomni laughed again, raising an eyebrow at him. “Don’t forget you have a whole circus to run, ringmaster,” she teased.
Caine brought a hand to his upper jaw. “Whoopsy-daisy, I almost forgot about the others! My my, you give me a severe case of tunnel vision,” he reached for his cane, preparing to snap himself to the main room before taking one last look at the woman he adored, “I hate to rush the most exciting moment of my never-ending existence, but the show must go on! But, oh, my dear?”
“…Caine?”
Caine tossed his cane between his hands. “How about today, you skip my adventure?”
Pomni blinked in surprise. He never wanted any of his guests to miss his adventures. “Wha—really? Why?”
He flew beside her, holding her hand again. Now that he knew he could hold her hand, he wasn’t sure he’d have it in him to let go for more than a minute. “For our date, of course!” Caine winked at her before continuing sheepishly, “if I may admit, dear…I know what a date is, but I don’t know how to date. There are many things you have to show me.”
A blush rose to Pomni’s cheeks again. “Oh, right,” she stuttered out, then formed a reassuring smile, “i’d love to show you, Caine. Really.” It was just now that she was realizing how intensely her heart had been beating this entire conversation, the trembling seeming to subside now that their true feelings had been revealed.
A couple more hearts fluttered “Of course! What better way to seal our confessions than with a human date? Oh, let’s get this roll call over with, dear. I can’t wait another second!” Caine tightened his grip on her hand.
“You know, you have a lot of energy for someone who’s sick,” Pomni couldn’t help but tease. The more the reality of the situation was settling in, the easier it was for her confidence to return. This artificial man, this AI she had learned to adore, he had truly pined for her all along.
Caine gazed at her adoringly. Oh, my, she was flirting with him, wasn’t she? If she kept going like this, he was going to overheat in front of the others. How lucky was he that this woman adored him as much as he did her? “Why, yes! I’m sick for you.”
“I…don’t think that sounds as romantic as you think it does.”
Caine waved her comment off. “Ah, I’ll perfect the art of flirtation in no time. For now, it’s showtime! And then, a date awaits, my love!”

ANYWAY ENJOYYYY 🥳
°•°•°•○🌑○•°•°•°
Y/n knew there were quite a few ladies who would kill to be in her place. After all, becoming the bride of one of the princes was no small matter. Especially when said prince was the most charming gentleman the kingdom had ever seen.
Royal and elite families, even from neighbouring kingdoms, as well as more potential brides had all been invited to the wedding. And where there was a wedding, there was a gathering of the ladies. And where there were ladies gathered, there were rumours spreading.
And Y/n found herself in such a setting the night before her wedding, and the topic of discussion, unfortunately, was her husband.
"Did you know he lives amongst the poor?"
"I cannot fathom why he would do that."
"Does he not get to spend like his brothers?"
"Poor him. I heard he might be a bastard child, and that is why he’s always left out of things."
Y/n heaved a frustrated sigh. From the past hour, she had been sitting here courtesy of her mother’s scoldings on propriety and etiquette, and if she left in the middle of the tea party after dinner it would be disrespectful. That the ladies would think marrying a prince got to her head and she thinks them beneath her.
One of the younger ladies’s giggles caught Y/n’s attention, and she turned to look at what was so funny.
"You know, there are rumours that he has fire in his veins."
High pitched giggles followed that statement, and Y/n’s cheeks burned from the implications in that statement.
Am I being too dirty minded?
But the next second, her worries were blown away by the words of an entirely too smug lady who sat closer to Y/n. "Oh, believe me, he does."
The others in their little group gasped, beginning to hound her for information.
"Did you have him in your bed?"
Y/n clenched her jaw just imagining such an erotic scene, pulse spiking.
"Oh no, I am not so fortunate. But I have surely dreamed about it and heard from others."
It gave Y/n little peace knowing that even though he might not have slept with others, people drooled over him still. She wanted to chide herself for having such thoughts, considering she had only met Lucien at that ball a month ago and was not even married yet.
But not for long, she reminded herself. The wedding would be tomorrow, and then she would have all rights to be possessive over him.
"Lady Oak, you are far too lucky. How did you even get him to agree to your proposal?"
Y/n blinked, meeting the eyes of the lady who grinned at her fiendishly. Her eyes narrowed.
Her name must be husband stealer or something.
She snorted at her own thoughts when another lady who looked younger than her piped up.
"Is it because your father is the advisor and the king forced him?"
Y/n fisted her hand, smiling sweetly. "Oh no, quite the opposite actually."
Husband-stealer laughed. "Oh, so prince Lucien asked your father for your hand? Can’t be, for he has been known to reject proposals left and right."
"Oh, did he reject your proposal too?"
Y/n leaned back in her cushioned chair, innocently gazing at husband-stealer as colour darkened her face, anger evident in every part of her body.
"That does not matter. He does not seem the type to stay with one partner forever anyways."
"You do not have to worry about his betrayals for you are not the one going to be affected by it."
Husband-stealer stood abruptly, glaring at Y/n for a moment before announcing she was going to retire to her room to her companions who did not bother to wish her back and focused on Y/n.
Another win, Y/n thought with a smirk.
"When did you meet him?"
"Last month during the ball he approached me, and when I told him to basically leave me alone, he asked for my hand in marriage. My father said yes."
"And you had no problem?"
Y/n’s smile turned genuine thinking about Lucien stalking up to her father and talking to him with his usual charm. She remembered very vividly how her father’s eyes had widened and he had stuttered through a response, his lips spreading in a grin.
"No. I had only seen him that day and I knew he would be the best suitor. Moreover, I trusted my father’s judgement."
The younger girls sighed in wonder, their eyes glazing over as they themselves imagined themself in her position.
Hiding her grin, Y/n stood, bidding them goodbye before making ehr way to her own bridal suite, anticipation building in her gut.
Tomorrow.
°•°•°•○🌑○•°•°•°
Lady Oak, you are far too lucky. How did you even get him to agree to your proposal?
Somehow, after a whole day had passed, after the wedding officiant had pronounced Lucien and Y/n husband and wife, after the reception and dinner party, husband-stealers’ words came back to Y/n.
Was she not right for Lucien? Had he made a mistake? Would he doubt their marriage just as the ladies had?
"Y/n?"
She turned to her new husband, who grinned at her, holding open the door to their bed chamber. She tried to smile back, but of course, even under the dim lighting of the corridor, Lucien saw it.
"Did something happen?"
Y/n paused, wondering if she should tell him what she’d heard.
"It’s just… some ladies were talking about you last night." His brows furrowed and he nodded at her to continue. "They said you would… betray me."
Understanding dawned on his eyes, and he reached out to touch Y/n’s cheek. "You do not have to worry about that. I’d rather cut my own di- private parts off than be with someone that is not my lawfully wedded wife."
Y/n blushed. How could she ever have even given thought to husband-stealer’s words? They were just that. Words.
"Thank you."
He rolled his eyes. "Do not thank me for common human decency." He paused, then- "May I kiss you?"
Y/n’s breath hitched. "I’ve never-"
"Neither have I."
Y/n’s eyes widened. "But- but they said-"
"They assumed."
Y/n closed her mouth with a snap.
"I always thought being loyal to your future partner had a certain romantic side to it. So? May I kiss you now?"
"I- yes but I do not know how to-"
He kissed her.
"I am forever yours."

Oooh imagine anyone of the Bad Omens Crew whoever you think fits this idea best with fem reader and Grabbing your hips and pretending to bang you when you bend over to grab or pick something up
I can't help it. This has Folio written all over it. Especially with his obsession with smacking his girl's ass 🤭🤭🤭

Folio loves your ass. There's no denying it. He's grabbing it, pinching it, smacking it, and kissing it every chance he gets, especially when you're in the shower or in the bed.
He likes to goof around with you. You're a lot of fun and feed his playful addiction like no other. While the guys roll their eyes sometimes and tell him to quiet, you're right there encouraging him.
So, between your ass and his playfulness, coming up behind you and acting like he's giving it to you from behind is a constant thing. At first, it was a little embarrassing, but the more he continued doing it, the more it became a thing for the two of you.
The first time Folio ever pretended to bang you from behind, it was shortly after you two started dating. You were at Matt's house, in the kitchen helping Davis cook. Folio wouldn't leave you alone, no matter how many times you told him to leave or get away from you. Dropping the spoon you were using to mix whatever was in your bowl, you bent over to pick it up when Folio came up behind you and grabbed you by the hips, pulling you into him as he thrusted into you, making the same grunts he made in bed. It took a lot of restraint not to feed into his playfulness. "Oh god, get a fucking room you two," Matt groaned, walking into the kitchen. Folio laughed, letting you go, as you stood there completely embarrassed.
Another time was before a show. You were backstage helping Noah with his mic and in-ear set up. Folio had been hinting to you all day how horney he was, but you shrugged him off. "Nick, you got it this morning. Leave me alone!" You shrieked when he pinched your ass. "Sweetheart, once is never enough with you. I could stay inside you all day." He pulled you in close, kissing you heatedly, and for a moment, you thought about giving into his need. "No," you said, pushing him away. "I'm busy. Go away! Noah needs help." You walked off, leaving Folio with his mouth hanging open. You moved the wire around Noah's shoulder, helping him slip his black shirt on, but dropped the other in-ear battery pack. You bent over to pick it up and felt the sting of a hand smacking your ass, as Folio grabbed you from behind and rutted against you over and over. He may have been playing, but the words he whispered in your ear had you so wet. "Imagining me fucking you like this for real, baby." It pulled a soft whimper from you, making him groan. "Folio, fuck man you need to her alone while she's working. You mess her up with that shit," Noah laughed, watching how disheveled you got.
Later that night, after the show, you got to your hotel room, only to find Folio in the shower. Wanting what he hinted earlier, you quickly undressed and joined him under the hot water, quickly getting caught up in his arms and kisses. It didn't take long before he had you out of the shower and face down on the bed with your ass up as he fucked you unmercifully from behind. As uncomfortable the position was, the feeling of your man filling you like he was overcompensating you for the discomfort was amazing. Between your moans, his curses, and the sound of your skin coming in contact, you came hard for Folio just as he did for you, pulling out and pushing you down, spilling his warm cum all over your clean back. "Fuck! I love fucking you like that," he confessed, completely out of breath.
After cleaning you up, he laid between your legs with his head on your chest, where his lips placed small kisses on your breast. Your fingers ran through his damp hair when they weren't running up and down his back, making him hum in satisfaction. "I love you," he whispered, circling one of your nipples with his tongue, making you softly moan his name. "I love you, too, Nick."

Play It Again, Play It Again, Play It Again
A/N: Part two of the mini-series! As always I hope you enjoy it as much I did writing it! I love seeing feedback! And feel free to request something! Let me know any feedback that you have! If you feel up to it send me a request and I will do my best to give it justice!
Summary: You're invited to a party by one of your new friends. Let's see how the night ends.
Word Count: 1963
It had been a couple of months since you had broke things off with Billy. Since that you've kind of tried to keep to yourself but everyone needs someone to talk to, especially to make it around here.
What made it better was that you met a couple of mothers when you would pick up Rhiannon from daycare, and started your own friend group. All of them were around your age and their kids were already playing with Rhiannon during daycare anyway. Nancy had a brown-eyed shaggy-haired boy named Theodore. Piper had a little curly-head girl named Rosemary. And then there is Robin, she doesn't have any children but she comes and picks up Theo or Rosie every now and then, even both sometimes.
It was nice that you and Rhiannon had some friends in town finally. Especially Rhiannon, you didn't want her to be lonely.
But at this particular moment you weren't sure if you were happy that you had friends anymore.
"Come on (Y/N)! You never leave the house unless it's work or taking Rhiannon somewhere! You need to have fun sometimes!" Robin tried to convince you.
"Yeah, I'm sure I can tell you what you do everyday. Get up, get Rhi and you ready, take her to daycare, go to work, pick up Rhi, have dinner and then go to bed," Nancy said watching the kids play on the playground.
You sigh, because she was right. You don't do anything fun that doesn't surround Rhiannon.
"Who's gonna watch Rhi though? I can't really afford a babysitter right now. I can barely afford daycare as it is."
"Piper's mom is going to watch the kids, I'm sure she won't mind watching Rhiannon," Nancy suggested and Piper nodded.
"I don't know guys," you hesitated, parties have never been your thing. The last time you were at a party that's when Rhiannon was conceived and here you are.
"(Y/N), you are 24. We are never gonna be this young ever again. Just this once and if you don't like it, you can leave and we'll never ask again," Piper chimes in, sitting on the bench next to you with a book on her lap that she hasn't touch since she got here, "We all need to let loose every once and a while."
The girls nodded, you groaned, "Fine. I'll go but only for two hours. That's it."
"That'll work! You'll have fun, I promise!" Robin said excitedly.
+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
You were on your way to the party. Riding with a friend from work. Dressed in something more warm and comfortable than it was cute since #1 it was October and it was cold during the nights; #2 you weren't really looking for anything right now since your thing since Billy. You were just there to hang out with friends and maybe meet some new people.
As you approached you noticed that there were a lot of trucks and some haybales, and everyone else was parked on the other side of the road. You didn't even think about bringing your own chair. You figured that there was going to be enough going on that you might not need it. But past you was too ambitions compared to present you so was full of nervous at the moment.
How the hell did you do this when you were in college?
Jessica put the car into park and got out and you followed suit.
"Hey I'll see you around? Around 1?" Jessica said with a smile. You nodded and smiled back.
You stood outside of the car for a second to catch your breath.
"It's all good. Everything will be okay. Just three hours. Yeah, only three hours and then you can go home," you hyped yourself up. You brushed yourself off (like you had dirt on you) and headed toward the crowd of people gathering around the bonfire.
"There she is! I wasn't sure you were going to show!" Robin said as she walked up to you and hugged you, "Here's the rest of the gang for you to meet!"
"Everyone this is (Y/N)! Be on your best behavior!" she said, jokingly, you heard some laughing and a, 'Booooo'.
"This here is Vickie, she's my girl," Robin introduced you to a ginger with freckles. You shook her hand, "Nice to meet ya."
"You know Nancy," Robin said and you hugged her as she came up. There was a nervous looking man behind her with brown hair, Robin said, "This is her husband, Jonathan. Theo looks like him."
"I can see it," you smiled and shook his hand too. Piper came up next, "I'm so glad that you made it! We want you to have fun too."
"Thanks, it's good so far," you smiled.
"Oh yeah!" she said, she turned to look behind her, "This is my husband, Eddie. It's where Rosie gets the curly hair from."
"Hey there, I'm Eddie, like she said, nice to meet you," Eddie said, he had long wild curly hair with a denim vest over his leather jacket.
"I like your pins. Iron Maiden is the best," you said as you looked at his pins.
Eddie literally beamed, "Thank you! I collect them from music stores. These are my favorites."
"Really cool!"
+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
"Dude, have you met (Y/N)? She's awesome!" Eddie said to Steve.
"Is this another fantasy person that I'm supposed to learn?" Steve asked. Eddie looked at him with a weird face, "No, she's real man. She's friends with Piper and the others. She over there."
Eddie pointed to where a girl was sitting by herself on the tailgate of Piper's truck. Her legs swinging as she watched the fire crackle.
"She's got to have a boyfriend here. No way that she doesn't," Steve said, looking around for someone that was looking for her, "Is she Joe's girlfriend?"
"No man, Piper said that she's single. Not really looking for anything at the moment, just new friends," Eddie explained, "Buuuuut...you should try and make more than friends."
"I can make friends with her," Steve nodded and walked toward you.
"Good job babe," Piper said as she came up next to Eddie and fist bumped him and watched what was about to happen.
Steve walked up, "Hey, this seat taken?"
You looked over to the new voice.
Not going to lie, he's pretty cute.
You smiled, "Not at all," you slid over to make sure that he has enough room to sit.
"My name's Steve," he said as he sat down, putting his hands in his pockets.
"Nice to meet you, I'm (Y/N)," you said smiling.
+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
God how am I already falling in love with this woman already?
"Honestly, I love new wave music! The Cure is probably my favorite from the bunch as of right now, but that changes from month to month," you said, talking to Steve.
You've been talking to Steve for what felt ten minutes but it's actually been hour. You could do this all night.
"You know, I think that-" Steve started but then a familiar song came on the speakers and you're eyes lit up, and you jumped off the tailgate, cutting him off.
"This is my song! I've been listenin' to the radio all night long, hopin' that it would come on and here it is!"
You hold out your hand, "C'mon, come dance with me."
Before Steve could say anything, you grabbed his hand and dragged him up. He tried keeping up with you but he was too distracted by you to keep up. You had a carefree smile on your face and your body was moving in ways that was very bad for his groin area in public.
As the song came to an end, you kissed him on the cheek, "Thank you for dancin' with me."
"Play it again!" Steve yelled to see if someone could rewind the tape and start it over again so he could gain the courage to ask you out.
You smiled and yelled, "Play it again! Play it again!"
You both laughed and then heard the next song play, looking at each other almost in a trance.
"I-" Steve started to say but you looked down at your watch, "I had a lot of fun tonight Steve but I'm afraid that I have to go."
"Are you sure?" Steve asked, not really wanting you to leave just yet but understanding.
"Yeah, I gotta check on my-" you hesitated, "my pet. She's not used to being alone this late."
"I understand. Let me walk you to your car?" Steve offered.
"I actually rode here with one of my coworkers. So I guess I need to find her."
"I'll help you, who is it?"
"Jessica Cooley," you answered starting to look around for her.
"Jessica? She left already. Left with Matt Hargrave about an hour ago."
"What? You're kiddin'. I guess I'll ask someone else for a ride," you said a little upset.
"I can take you home," Steve offered, really hoping that you would take him up on the offer.
"Are you sure? I don't want to burden you. I can just have Piper or someone take me home," you said hesitant because you didn't know him, but you had a feeling that you could trust him.
"I'm sure. Come on, let's get you home."
You smiled, "Okay thank you."
+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
You were looking out the window, thinking about something to start a conversation but you couldn't think of anything that wouldn't be considered small talk or just bad in general.
That was when Steve turned on the radio and you started singing along to (I've Had) The Time Of My Life.
It didn't take too long to get to your house, maybe three songs if you remember correctly, but for some reason it felt like it was taking a little longer than usual. And you weren't upset by it at all. It had been five songs already and you sang along to every song that had came on the radio.
But it was only when you getting ready to pull on your street was when Steve started to scan the radio, almost frantically.
"This is me," you said and Steve pulled into the driveway and put the car in park.
"Thank you for the ride home, I really appreciate it. I don't have cash on me right now, but I can run in and get some for gas?"
"It's no trouble at all. I don't want money. But if you really want to pay me back, let me take you out on a date?" Steve asked wearing a charming but hopeful smile on his face.
You smiled, "I would like that."
He smiled, "Sounds great, how Friday? Dinner and a movie?"
You nodded your head, "I would love that."
"Cool, let me walk you to the do-," Steve said and just as he said that, your song came on the radio.
"No way! There is no way that this song would play twice in one night!" you exclaimed excitedly.
"Come dance with," you said as you got out of the car. He followed you and started dancing in the headlights.
It was like straight out of a movie. Everything was perfect, the lights, the song, the weather, and you.
As the song started to fade out, you got caught up in the passion of dancing and the feeling of it, you kissed Steve.
It was just like everything else, the kiss was perfect.
When you broke the kiss he looked at you and said, "I'm gonna call the DJ right now and get that song played again right now."
You threw your head back laughing, "Goodnight Steve, thank you for the perfect night."
He smiled, "You took the words right out of my mouth."

chapter fourty-nine — a single wish
➝ at his 70th birthday, niki has only one wish. it's up to elisabeth to make it true.
➝ word count: 1,9k
➝ warnings: none
➝ author’s note: back from interlagos and to the keyboard. hope you enjoy this chapter.
FEBRUARY, 2019
Silence finally reigned in the room. After nearly an hour of pacing back and forth, rocking Andi and humming some random tune, he finally fell asleep. A relief for Elisabeth, especially after a night full of different, not to say conflicting, emotions.
Placing the baby carefully in the crib, she held her breath for a few seconds, watching her son stir. “Please, please,” Elisabeth thought, pressing her lips together as the boy let out a sigh, finally seeming comfortable enough.
Mentally thanking the universe, she left the room, walking slowly down the hall toward the master suite of the penthouse. It was in these moments that Elisabeth noticed the aches in her body and how tired she felt. Motherhood had proven to be a constant challenge, especially with Andi.
From the early days, the little boy had shown himself to be demanding and impatient. If he wasn’t in his mother’s arms at the moment he decided he was hungry, he would cry loudly. Burping him was another dilemma, as he only liked it when his father did it. Bath time wasn’t easy either, especially since Elisabeth had trouble with some movements due to her C-section incision, while diaper changes always ended with someone getting peed on.
However, his big, toothless smiles made it all worth it.
Entering the bedroom, Elisabeth found Toto sitting on the bed, reading something on his iPad with his glasses resting on the tip of his nose.
— Is he asleep?
— Yes — she murmured, collapsing onto the mattress heavily.
— Do you want me to take over tonight? — the team principal asked, lowering the tablet onto his lap.
— No need, you have to go back to Barcelona tomorrow, you need to sleep well — Elisabeth replied, rubbing her eyes — Besides, I need time to think…
— Think about what?
She hesitated to answer, staring at the ceiling for long seconds. In theory, it wasn’t something Elisabeth should discuss with Toto, considering his position on the team and the board of investors. However, before all that, he was her partner and confidant, the man she had chosen to share her life and start a family with. There were no secrets between them.
— About my father's offer.
Toto raised an eyebrow.
— Offer? Is that why he called you earlier?
She simply nodded, her mind drifting back to hours before when they had been at her parents’ apartment celebrating Niki’s 70th birthday.
Despite being a significant milestone, the celebration had to be reduced to a dinner with the children, their partners, and the grandchildren due to the ex-driver's still fragile health. The previous month, he had been hospitalized again due to a flu, so caution was necessary.
— But next year, I want to go back to Vegas — Niki said, drawing laughter from the group — I deserve to celebrate in style, preferably with all those dancers.
The dinner went by smoothly, with conversations filling the air while everyone enjoyed the schnitzel prepared by Marlene and Claire. Between Elisabeth and Niki, Andi, in his stroller, seemed to follow the discussions with his attentive blue eyes. After the meal, it was time for the grandfather to spoil his youngest grandchild, joined by Lennon and Ellison, who held his little hands and made funny faces to make him laugh.
The scene was sweet for Elisabeth. If she had once feared her father would never hold her child, now there was only joy in seeing him joke and smile broadly as Andi babbled his responses and tried to grab the oxygen catheter or the cap his grandfather was wearing.
— No, no, opa needs this, little one — he replied good-naturedly, gently moving the curious fingers away from the nasal cannula.
After playing with the kids for a while, Niki handed the baby over to Marlene and stood up, asking Elisabeth to accompany him to his office. It wasn’t uncommon for him to use her visits to get updates on his business affairs.
However, this time the situation took a different turn when, after placing the oxygen concentrator on the desk, he sat down heavily and asked a question.
— Mauslein, do you like your job?
Elisabeth blinked.
— Well, yes, I studied for it…
— I’m talking about working at Mercedes, in Formula 1. Do you like it?
She smiled.
— Oddly enough, I do. It’s wonderful to see the work pay off on the track, the victories, the championship titles — Elisabeth said — Besides, I like working with Toto; we make a good team, especially with you being away…
— That’s good — Niki replied, taking off his red cap. At that moment, she realized how fragile he looked — And that’s why I want to make you an offer.
— An offer?
— You know I won’t be back in the paddock anytime soon, especially after this last hospitalization, right? I need to focus on my recovery before thinking about anything else — her father explained, his hands resting on his belly — This means I won’t be able to be active in my role with Mercedes. Not like you.
Elisabeth crossed her arms, somewhat nervous about the direction of the conversation.
— Dad, I’ll be on leave until May; it’s not like…
— You’ll be back before me, Mauslein. And thinking about that, about the team and everyone in the operation, I wanted to offer you my shares and the position of non-executive director.
A small incredulous laugh escaped her lips.
— You’re kidding, right? — Elisabeth asked, completely thrown off — You’ve got to be joking…
— Do you think I would joke about this? — Niki retorted, serious.
It was in that split second she realized it was a real offer. One so huge and meaningful that Elisabeth paused for long moments, considering how resolute and sincere her father had been in saying those words.
— What did you tell him? — Toto asked, snapping her out of her thoughts. Looking at the team principal’s face, Elisabeth saw the concern mixed with exhaustion.
— I asked him if he was sure about what he was offering, if he understood the magnitude of it because there’s a lot of money involved, especially now with the team having grown so much. And he said yes — she replied, turning to face Toto, one hand between her face and the pillow — He said he sees no reason not to do it since I already do most of the work for him.
— Well, he’s not lying.
— But the thing is, I don’t know anything about cars. I have no idea how to contribute to making the car better. I’ve never driven a race car, I don’t know how to deal with the drivers, I… I can’t replace him, Toto.
The team principal gently placed a hand on her cheek.
— And you won’t have to, because the team doesn’t need a replacement. We need people who add value, and you do that every day.
— How? I just say my father’s opinions in meetings; people only see me as his daughter, not as an executive or anything like that. I’m Niki’s representative, nothing more.
— Liesl, you know you’re more than that. You know you can deliver much more, especially in an important position like shareholder or non-executive director — Toto said softly, his eyes locked on hers — But first, you need to believe you’re capable of taking on that role.
The words left Elisabeth thoughtful. Everyone around her said she was fully capable of being a successful executive, the woman who would continue the work Niki had already done. Yet the fear still lingered, like a ghost haunting her since she was young, whispering in her ear that she would never be successful, that everything she had was because of the right connections, that she didn’t deserve any of it.
— Do you believe it?
— I will always believe in you, Liesl — he murmured, kissing the tip of her nose — But that’s a conversation for tomorrow. Rest now, my love.
Smiling a little, Elisabeth snuggled against the pillow, allowing herself to drift into a light, dreamless sleep, periodically interrupted by Andi’s protests through the baby monitor, announcing he was hungry, had a dirty diaper, or just wanted his mother’s attention.
Elisabeth allowed herself to ponder the offer for a few more days, alternating between reading team reports and taking care of Andreas. The boy slept against her chest as his mother read one of the latest performance reports from Mercedes’ finance department. The numbers were good, but changes in structure would have to be made, especially with the new financial regulations being implemented in 2021.
“We’ll definitely need more people in finance”, she thought, running a hand over her forehead.
It was the following weekend when Elisabeth finally found the courage to go to Lichtental to discuss Niki’s proposal. It was the last day of preseason testing in Barcelona, a good enough excuse for her and Andi to visit her parents’ apartment.
As always, Marlene picked up the grandson as soon as they arrived, chatting and playing with the boy and the dogs, who wagged their tails excitedly. Elisabeth then headed to the living room, where Niki was sitting in front of the television.
— Good morning, Mauslein — he greeted her, receiving a kiss on the cheek in return.
— Good morning, how are we?
— With an oil leak in the car — Niki grumbled as the silver car in the garage was shown on TV — Valtteri’s going to lose the morning session because of it.
— What a mess — Elisabeth muttered, crossing her arms.
— Yeah, a mess — he replied, adjusting the oxygen catheter in his nose.
Silence stretched out in the living room, with the sound of Marlene talking to Andreas and the dogs in the background making her feel more tense.
— Dad, I… I wanted to talk about your offer.
Niki glanced at her.
— Are you going to accept?
She let out a sigh.
— Partially. I accept becoming a shareholder, but I can't take your seat on the board. I don’t want your position on the team to be seen as some sort of inheritance…
— No one’s going to see it that way — he started to grumble, but his daughter interrupted.
— Everyone will see it that way, especially considering that I’m your daughter and I’m engaged to Toto. It's already enough having to hear people in the paddock hoping I'll get Mercedes in case of a divorce…
Niki laughed.
— You shouldn’t listen to those kinds of people.
— How can I not? They're saying what everyone…
— Elisabeth, if I’d cared about everything people said about me, especially after the accident, I’d have never left my house again — her father said, resting his hands on his belly — When I showed up in Monza, I had to face an entire team convinced I shouldn’t have even left home. The old Ferrari had already put Reutemann in my place, sure I’d never race again.
— It's not the same…
— It's exactly the same, Elisabeth. Your confidence has to be bigger than other people’s doubts. And there's no better place to practice that than in an environment like a boardroom.
She pressed her lips into a thin line. Niki was right, she needed to trust herself, her instincts as a businesswoman with years of experience. However, Elisabeth wanted to do things the right way, not hastily or carelessly.
— If you believe I should be the non-executive director, I accept your decision. But first, I want the proposal to be deliberated by the board and accepted by them.
Niki smiled.
— I’m sure they’ll accept, Mauslein.

CW// Anxiety Attack
Log X11012555 Journal of Dr. Beatrice "Honey" Lewis
A very tired looking woman appears on screen. Her silver and brown hair a mess of bed head.
Groggily Good morning, this is Dr. Beatrice "Honey" Lewis, this is the.... I'm honestly too tired to really care at this point, I'll just look at the log date later. Last night was just... a lot. I've been trying more lately to socialize with my fellow researchers. It's been hard, but mostly rewarding.
So I pushed myself to go to a staff event last night. A mixed Affini - Sophont social. I really didn't know what to expect. I'd only been to a couple of events way back in my undergraduate; I always felt out of place, and typically left quickly. This event was, I don't know how to say it exactly but more. More sights, more sounds, more smells. The air felt warm and slightly tingly. It was a wave of sensation the moment I entered the room.
There was even more Sophonts there than just the staff. Many of my affini coworkers brought their florets. Including Cybil, her floret was in a pink companion dress, her hair a dark chestnut brown, and her eyes amber and distant. I've seen florets playing in the parks, and walking down the street with their affini, always with these blissed out dazed looks in their eyes. I've always felt this slight disgust whenever I looked at them but also just a weird desire. But yes these florets were busy making out, or playing while their Affini watched. Some of them even looked slightly familiar, but I couldn't place my finger on it. I decided to stay near the other independents.
That was also a mistake. I truly wanted to talk about my interests and hear about theirs but I just couldn't. I couldn't hear the people I was talking to half the time, and the times which I did their voices were just a jumble of meaningless words. I wasn't able to understand a word anyone was saying. My anxiety started to flare up, I started to worry that I was saying the wrong things to their queries. My ears started to feel, how do I say this, like they were bigger than they are. Like I felt the space around my ears pulse, and my throat was running dry constantly from trying to talk over the music and sounds. Then some of the affini came over, and I think? Started to flirt with some of the people I was talking to. One that wasn't Cybil came up to me and said something, but her words also just got lost on me.
I started to hyperventilate, things just spiralling out of control. I felt just a pit form in my stomach. I just ended up breaking down in front of everyone, and just sobbing. It felt like the party grinded to a halt in that moment. Everyone's eyes were on me and that just made it so so much worse. The affini in front of me looked very surprised. She tried to reach out and it felt like she was trying to hit me with one of those blasted needles. I shirked and screamed "No! I don't want that!" I ended up running out of the room and into Cybil who had I guess stepped out with her floret at some point.
I don't know what came over me but I just dug my face into the vines that made up her leg and held on. She reached an arm down and held me. The other partygoers caught up to us, and I don't know what they were saying. Probably something to do with me and my breakdown. All I remember hearing is her voice rumbling through her vines.
"It's okay, I'll look after her."
When everyone was gone, it was just Cybil, myself and her floret.
"It's okay now Honey. They're all gone, you can come out now if you're comfortable."
I remember her saying. I slowly detangled myself from vines. I tried to say something but words just didn't form.
"You're alright, you don't need to talk, you've been having a rough night haven't you? Here drink this."
I nodded sheepishly as she handed me a glass.
"These things happen. Let me guess, it was all just too much for you wasn't it? Affini parties can be overwhelming especially for cute little sophonts like you."
My words slowly started to return "Y... Y.. yes."
"Oh! Look at that, your words have started to come back. What a good girl you are. You were just overstimulated weren't you?"
"I... I... guess. I really wanted to.. to...to be social.. but... I... it's hard"
"You wanted to be social, and you think it's hard. But aren't we being social right now?"
"I mean I guess, but this is different! I know you and it isn't loud and there aren't so many people all talking at once!l
"Mhm, but you don't need to be in that kind of environment to be social. You don't need to be in that kind of environment to make friends. We're friends aren't we?"
"... yes"
"Exactly, and I think my little Alma would also love to be friends with you too, wouldn't you Alma?"
The, up until now, quiet floret piqued up. "Oh yes Mistress! I love making new friends!" She turned her gaze to me, "I would love to be your friend...." she paused and looked up to Cybil.
"Dr. Honey Lewis"
"Dr. Honey Lewis!! Oh I remember now! Miss Acaule has told me a lot about you and how smart and kind you are! Won't you be my friend!?"
I was taken aback for a second from the sheer earnestness of this floret. She wanted to be my friend and she's only just met me? After I was just sobbing into her Affinis vines?
"I... umm.. don't know what to say" I replied
"Silly! You're supposed to say yes!" Said the Floret
"I guess.. yes?"
"Hurray!!! Great yes good!!! I love being friends!! Would you like to play with me? We can do all sorts of games and and!!" Alma went silent as a one of Cybils vines pressed itself against her mouth.
"Hush little one, your excitement is noted, but I think Dr. Lewis is tired after all that excitement. Aren't you Honey?"
I hadn't even noticed until now but after all that crying my limbs felt heavy, and my head fuzzy. "I think you're right Cybil"
"Of course I am. I could tell just how much you want to just get home and sink into your bed. Alma and I'll make sure you get there don't you worry. If you want you can even fall asleep now and I'll carry you?"
I found myself nodding and growing ever more tired with every passing second. Cybil's eyes seemed even more pretty every passing seco....
And then I just awoke back in my bed and it was morning. I... don't know what to make of any of that. I suppose I made a new friend... and Cybil was just so nice to make sure I got home safely. I just hope no one expresses like worry about me when I'm in the office next. I just don't think I could handle that.
Anyways I suppose I should get my day started. This is Honey Lewis signing off

Whole List of "Ace in the Hole" Prompts Pt 1
For anyone who is interested in reading the WHOLE MASSIVE list of prompts people have sent in via private messages, AO3, or tumblr, here it is broken into numerous posts because it's so long.
Multi-Chapter Fics
story idea: every chapter is a different date that the girls go on wether that’s as a pair or a three and it’s from the start of there relationship to where ever it goes (Tumblr yasmineillustration)
a cheating scare with ace. where hotch/someone else needs ace to help out with a top secret case/something private, and ace doesn't tell emily and JJ because it isn't her secret to share (whatever it is can be up to you). it ends up taking most of her time and ends up being talked about a lot in dms and stuff, so she puts up a password, and sneaks out at night to talk about it, and comes home late/in the early hours of the morning. and emily and JJ just start overthinking it and yell at ace (who is obviously denying cheating because she isn't) and it blows into a proper argument and ace walks out/they take like a temporary break, and it feeds into their work lives. and because emily and JJ are so convinced that ace was cheating, they make little rude comments/shut her out completely. then they find out and it ends with a little fluff with lots and lots and lots of groveling and making it up to ace (Tumblr anon)
random idea for a future fic possibly that just came to mind: based on the grey's anatomy episode arc of the ferry crash (3x16-17) and meredith in the water. would love to see a similar take to ace in meredith's position. some sort of catastrophic bau case and everyone is busy and tending to their assigned areas. (in the episode meredith is accidentally kicked into water trying to help someone, gets caught and later admits she stopped fighting to get free) JJ notices Ace isn't around when they round up to leave and they frantically look around. When they see something of hers near a body of water Emily takes off without a second thought. Then it's very touch and go in the hospital as they need to get her body temp up. Maybe a sweet moment of JJ and Emily laying with her on the hospital bed to give her their body warmth. I saw another comment presenting an idea of memory loss so maybe to build on that, when Ace eventually wakes up- she mentally is back when she first joined the team. She remembers Emily and JJ but only as coworkers pre sleeping together. Only lasting a few hours to a few days but when she starts to regain memories the first thing can be calling Emily "Emmy" and seeking JJ's touch in a hug. This of course seems like a hugeee story so if it speaks to you in anyway, please just take the little bits desired. (Ssskeptical)
Existing Story Updates
Let Loose: drunken sex ch 2
When Desperation Strikes: Emily reacts to Ch 1 and how she gets back at JJ and Ace for that (EmilyJenniferJareauPrentiss)
Kisses prompt list
Kisses: From 3 perspectives. Emily, JJ and Ace being from time to time insecure about their scars and every time that happens one or two of them are there to comfort the third of them. Like kissing the scars and the insecurities away. (Tumblr lenolia03)
Kisses: You know when you’re squeezing someone trying to give them smooshy cheek kisses and they’re all squirmy and embarrassed and laughing so hard? Yeah, can we have some of those kisses - maybe with Henry? (Nerdy_mama)
Aftercare Requirements Epilogue: whether JJ and Ace, together, could (after a scene) give dom Emily the kind of aftercare that she gives them - the aftercare that she never received? (SSAScorpSik)
first time Emily acquiesced and let JJ dom her (SSAScorpSik)
A Need for Punishment: would love to see Ace talk to Emily and JJ about her having wanted to ask for a belt (thatonesritersstuff)
I’d love to see Emily and Ace get into an argument and instead of autopiloting to Em, JJ takes Ace’s side and it plays out that way. Especially since every time Ace is upset with one of them it becomes both of them, it’d be interesting to see the dynamic change (slowburnsapphic)
Emily is groveling to make up for the botched date (Ao3 Guest)
Could you maybe add on about scars? I remember in one of the stories (I believe it was in when past meets the present) JJ doesn’t like her scars being focused on, can you maybe write more about that? Either it being an insecurity or bringing up bad memories and her not wanting to talk about it but either just Ace or Ace and Emily push and wants to focus on it so JJ can heal in some way (Sam0214)
One Shots
JJ fighting hand to hand and being injured like s7 e15 end scene
Subdrop for JJ (Gay_4_women)
JJ subdrop, maybe she Em type them both but then Ace gets the focus of the aftercare (kind of like the reverse scenario of the ” Competing Sub Drops” chapter in difference kinds of firsts pt 1). and because JJ rarely even finds a subspace, let alone a drop, the angstier the better. Maybe it’s the first time she’s ever dropped at all. (Agentquakingskye)
Play on the therapy case where the unsub kills patients in exposure therapy based on patient’s worst fears
Ace’s darkness has been heavier than usual; one morning when she’s feeling good, she goes for a morning run and leaves a love note for emily and jj, but them being protective girlfriends means they jump to the worst case scenario. They freak out because ace accidentally forgot her phone in the apartment and is gone for like 2 hours (Tumblr anon)
Jealous/ posessive Ace. Maybe Emily has a man from her past that they have to work alongside of during a case and it brings something out in Ace/JJ that leads Ace comfortable enough to top Emily out of possessive jealousy (Tumblr anon)
Sergio is crossed the rainbow bridge or is at least getting up there in age and the older pair see how much the goats help so they go to a rescue to adopt a cat/dog for Ace that becomes basically an anxiety service animal without the label to help ground her if the two ever have to be on another long case without Ace. (Ravenslumber)
old friend or acquaintance comes back in Ace’s life and Emily and JJ immediately clock that person has feelings for Ace. Ace gets upset with their jealousy, they fight, but it turns out Emily and JJ were right (Tumblr Anon)
maybe a jealous JJ/Emily interfere with Ace and a friend, they argue about if JJ and Emily trust Ace, which sends Ace on a spiral on if she thinks it possible for their relationship to work. Maybe set a little earlier on in their relationship when Ace isn’t feeling as solid in the trio. (Tumblr anon)
‘Guess’ with billie eilish and charlii xcx as a little chapter inspiration (Tumblr fallingsleepingdreaming)
7x23 for the first time and was wondering if we could maybe get a rewrite of it but instead of will being the one in danger its ace and jj and emily are just needing to be held back and everything (Tumblr anon)
Times which Ace has surprised Emily & JJ in non-sexual contexts? (Tumblr anon)

hey, this is the anon who sent in the ask about loving the idea of a red - mc - briony triangle lol! you asked what i'm intrigued by so here it is (sorry if i'm butchering your characters with this, maybe it only works with my own mc and the vibes in my head)
it's a couple different things. first, i feel like the safety of that relationship would be unbelievable. the trust and genuine love would be insane. red and briony are both such compassionate and empathetic people and in that triad any one of them would have a soft place to land with the other two. so many steadying conversations and so much quiet comfort when it's needed, distractions (especially from briony lol) from difficult feelings or situations when it's needed. just the idea that, as fun and lighthearted as that relationship would be, there's always that undercurrent of deep deep understanding and unconditional space held. yeah
and god that relationship just seems like it Would be so fun and they would all so obviously adore each other....it could get to the point of being almost annoying for the other shepherds if it wasn't also so sweet lol. can't imagine them trying to rub it in anyone's faces at all but it would be SO heartbreaking for all those secret admirers to watch briony light up at the sight of red or mc and go bounding off to them across the courtyard, or to hear the way red can't seem to finish an entire thought out loud without managing to work some aside about one or both of mc and briony into it. (feeling like the relationship gets completely outed when a recruit heading down to the kitchens for a snack in the early morning catches briony and red coming out of mc's room. at the same time.)
i also think i just love the sort of natural push and pull that relationship would probably have to involve??? you've got briony there as a force for justice and assertiveness when it's necessary, when red tries valiantly to make conversation work in a situation where it simply won't, or when mc allows an insult to slide for the sake of maintaining professionalism. but red (and mc, depending on who exactly they are lmao) would also be able to curb the worst excesses of that and make sure she doesn't tip over into recklessness. and then briony and mc could immediately help pump the brakes on the more self-destructive tendencies red has, especially when it comes to his research- there are two people there who are perceptive enough to know whether or not he's eating, who can persuade him to come to bed instead of falling asleep at his desk (and who put blankets over his shoulders and pillows under his head on the nights he doesn't quite make it there). and of course, bigger picture, briony and mc (at least mien lol) would be knowledagble enough about magic and concerned enough about red's experiments w the worldwalkers to keep an eye out and who would notice, intervene, and have a serious conversation with him if his drive started to go down a dark or dangerous path. mc's trickier lol but at least in my little world with my mc, he really trusts both of them with some of his most private thoughts re: his fear of what's coming and his worries about failure, letting everyone down up to and including the gods, his past, etc.- they're people who are steadfastly loyal, and for mcs who would need space to talk about their anxieties they seem like they would be so safe, willing to challenge things that don't sound right or border on self-sacrificial but also gentle when they do it....i just think they would all bring out the best in each other, while also helping each other avoid the pitfalls of the most passionate (but consuming) parts of themselves. the stuff that's good in moderation but can get scary when it's too far
i could actually write a dissertation on this lmao i started typing and just kept realizing i had more to say. thank you SO SO MUCH for characters that are this fascinating and fun to imagine lol, i hope this wasn’t too much!!
Ahhhh thanks so much for sharing!!! I absolutely love reading thoughts like this, I think you're absolutely spot on with the characters and how a poly relationship between them would go! :) This was lovely, thanks so much for the fun read! 💖

fresh start
part one (chapters 1-3) story info • next part
word count: 6.1k
content warnings: mentions of homophobia and depression
Lily
Transferring to University of Connecticut in my junior year was my final lifeline.
No one has actually verbalised that but it was an unspoken understanding.
Everyone in my life, back home in Boston knew that coming to UConn was a fresh start for me and a second opportunity at life.
I started my college career at UMass in my home state of Massachusetts. Going to college was just another thing on my list to tick off to pacify my family. Unlike my high school peers, I never aspired to go to college, in fact I didn't think I'd be alive by the time it came around.
"You must be Lily!" A sweet voice pulled me from my inner monologue as I stood in my new bedroom, boxes surrounding me.
"Yes!" I spun around to see a brown haired, brown eyed girl stood in my doorway. I flashed her my biggest, bravest smile.
Fake it till you make it.
"I'm Kelsey." She introduced herself coming closer.
Being a junior, I opted to live in an apartment for my time here at UConn. Four people, four bedrooms. That way I had my own space but still the option to mingle in our shared living room and kitchen. I knew I was sharing with three other girls as there was a paper with all our names listed on the table when I entered the apartment a few hours ago.
Kelsey
Madison
Hannah
and me, Lily.
"Nice to meet you." I say and Kelsey hugs me tight, its a warm hug and I can tell its not just a pleasantry, Kelsey feels kind and that relaxes me immediately.
"Looks like we're the first to arrive, how long have you been here?" She asks looking around at the numerous open boxes with my possessions spilling out of them.
"A few hours - how about you?" I bounce the question back to my new roommate.
"Oh I got here last night. Just took a walk around to familiarise myself. I lived on the complete other-side of campus last year but wanted to upgrade for my junior and senior year." She explained.
"I expect a tour at some point then." I joke but Kelsey nods enthusiastically, "Of course! Did you live off campus last year?"
"No. Well, yes - I lived in a whole different state. I just transferred from UMass." I tell her.
I decide to keep my explanation of why I transferred clean and concise.
Massachusetts was not for me.
I was born and raised there and needed something new. I'm not ashamed of my life and what has happened, I'm just very aware that not everyone needs to know everything about me.
Not yet anyway.
And besides, this is supposed to be a fresh start and how can there be any truth in that if I spend my time talking about the past.
Kelsey stayed in my room for the next few hours and helped me unpack the majority of my stuff. Things were starting to look normal rather than like a bomb had just exploded, I was thankful for the help.
I learned a lot about Kelsey in the time we spent filling my wardrobe and organising my dresser. She was studying Education as she wanted to be a preschool teacher. She was also from New England - New Hampshire to be precise (East Coast girlies unite). She was a party girl and insisted on showing me the bars near-by. She was newly single and was making it her junior year goal to stay that way.
Me too. But I didn't mention that.
Her favourite colour was red which looking at her now, was obvious. She sported a red baby tee and had her nails painted the exact same shade. She couldn't function without a morning coffee.
Me too. I did mention that.
I liked Kelsey a lot.
"So Kinesiology..." She started mentioning my choice of major.
"Yes - it was kind of a last minute decision. I love sport, especially soccer and I knew I needed to study something that I could relate to a hobby or I would have lost interest." I laughed.
"Do you play soccer?" I shook my head immediately, "God no. I have absolutely no athletic ability I just love watching it." I say as we sit on my bed side by side, backs against the wall.
Watching soccer, whether it be on TV or in real life was the only time my brain truly shut off. I was too focused on where the ball was, who it was being passed to, how well the pass was being executed and if the net would ripple at the end of a well thought out play to focus on anything else.
"I suppose ninety minutes of tight kits and sweaty bodies isn't a bad view." Kelsey giggled and I couldn't argue.
"Do you watch or play any sports?" I turn my body to Kelsey slightly giving her my attention, I preferred talking about others.
"Definitely don't play. As for watching, I make myself present if theres a big tournament on, usually at the bar mind you." She points a finger at me matter of factly.
"But enough about me. I feel like I've told you my life story and all I know about you is you're a Bostonian who loves soccer. Tell me something fun! Are you dating anyone? What's your type?" She asks eyebrows wiggling at me.
I contemplate my answer carefully not knowing how to broach the subject. Kelsey makes me feel like I can trust her but in reality I've known her less than 12 hours so don't actually know her. I remind myself why I'm here: to start afresh. I decide to be honest, I spent way too long hiding who I really was.
"I'm not dating anyone." I confess, the words feeling foreign even though its the truth. "My last relationship didn't end so well. In fact, it almost ended me." I quip making light of a not so light time in my life not so long ago. "Oh no, I'm sorry Lily. I'll kill the guy if I ever meet him." She says seriously, hands balled into fist as if she's a boxer preparing to go into the ring.
Here goes nothing.
"The girl." I say correcting her. "You'll kill the girl if you ever meet her." I stay silent trying to read Kelseys reaction to the fact that I'm gay. Living in America you never know what to expect when you reveal something like that, I just hoped mine and Kelseys newfound friendship wasn't about to come to a premature end.
"I have no problem beating a bitch up." The brunette says flicking her hair off her shoulder. I breathe a sigh of relief, the revelation doesn't seem to have bothered her in the slightest. "My sisters lesbian and I've heard enough stories to know girls are just as bad a guys. Maybe you should join the sisterhood of single juniors." She says, raising an eyebrow putting her hand between us for me to place mine on top and join the unofficial club. I hesitate because deep down I'm a lover girl and despite my heart being in a million pieces right now I know I want to love again.
"Hey, there's no contract. You can leave at anytime and theres no rules that say we can't have fun." Kelsey playfully reassures sensing my hesitation so I place my hand on top of hers, "Single sisters!" We both giggle, Kelsey leaning her body into mine so our shoulders are touching.
This feels like the perfect start to my life in Connecticut.
I left Boston broken. Brokenhearted and mentally in pieces.
My once big friendship group had dwindled down to one best friend. My ever growing confidence had come to a halt and years of therapy was thrown down the drain.
My Sophomore year was turbulent at best, coming to terms with my sexuality was a journey and then being outed was crushing and too much for me to handle. Managing my emotions has always been a problem of mine, I feel everything or I feel nothing. Both ends of the spectrum can be scary and dangerous and I did stupid things and made an almost irreversible decision.
UConn and Kelsey feels like the light at the end of the tunnel.
Madison and Hannah showed up at some point that evening. The girls had been roommates their Freshman and Sophomore year so already knew each other well. Kelsey and I introduced ourselves and we decided as a group, pizza for dinner was the best way to spend our first night together. We spoke and ate in the living area of our apartment until tiredness took over us one by one.
As I lay in my new bed in my new room I think of the days and weeks to come. I want to start off the best I can, give myself the best opportunity to love life again. Starting tomorrow, my goal was to find a student job on campus. Classes would take up most of my time but I needed pretty much all of my time filled, that way my mind wouldn't stray. I also wanted to scope out the sports. UConn was known for their amazing athletics program and I couldn't wait to be watching games again.
Oh and of course Kelsey wants to go to a bar tomorrow night, Hannah and Madison too so I close my eyes preparing for a busy day ahead, the melatonin I'd taken kicking in.
˖ ᡣ𐭩 ⊹ ࣪ ౨ৎ˚₊✧˚ · .
My first day in Storrs as a student at UConn was going better than expected.
Kelsey had showed me her favourite coffee place and it had lived up to her hype. I got my usual order of an iced caramel latte with soya milk. I had unintentionally made myself lactose intolerant after being vegan for a few years. I was no longer vegan but dairy refused to be introduced back into my diet. While we sipped our drinks she gave me the grand tour of campus and then Downtown Storrs. It reminded me a lot of Boston which was bittersweet but I focused on the sweet.
"And that," She says pointing to one of the buildings with a huge Huskies sign, "is the infamous Huskies! The best bar around...well, the only bar around but never-mind. That's where we're going tonight." My roommate tells me and does a little dance which makes me laugh.
We finished our coffees on the walk back to campus and Kelsey dropped me off at the Athletics building where I was going to enquire about a student job. I had checked online and there were a few available, I just had to apply. I figured showing my face would make me stand out compared to the many applicants I'm sure admissions would have to choose from. It also gave me an opportunity to check the team rosters and schedule. I became friends with a lot of the student athletes at UMass because I went to so many games, it made me wonder if that would be the case here at UConn.
Walking into the building, it was obvious there was a gym inside I could hear what I assumed to be people working out. Music blasted through speakers though it was muffled by the closed doors and the clanging of weights dropping further verified my assumption.
The doors were closed as I walked passed what I now know is the weight room from the sign outside. My curiosity tempted me to peek inside the room as I heard a cacophony of voices, girls voices for sure.
I was stopped in my tracks, "Hi, can I help you?" The voice came from an older woman, I looked to her and smiled, "Yes please. I'm looking for the main office, here to enquire about a student job this semester." I explained.
"Oh wonderful - follow me, I'm Janet. Head of admissions for the Athletic Department."
I followed Janet down a few corridors and up a set of stairs before reaching the office. The walls along the way all adorned with various UConn teams holding trophies and medals covered in confetti. It was clear they were no strangers to winning here.
"So we have a few positions on offer is semester. I suppose it depends on what kind of role you're looking for." Janet says sitting behind her desk and inviting me to sit facing her.
"I'm studying Kinesiology so I'm just grateful to have the opportunity to work within the Athletics department at all. I'd be happy with anything." I say and truly mean it.
"What is your schedule like?" Janet asks.
"My classes are most days until 4 or 5pm. Wednesday's are completely free as are evenings and weekends." I tell her.
"Hm OK, we have a position here for a Communications Intern. You'll be assisting with post and pre game press conferences and social media posts. You'll be at most home games on the sidelines, taking notes for our journalists to write in articles and pictures to post on our socials - nothing professional of course, we have photographers for that but the fans like to see some behind the scenes on game days." Janet reads off her screen before looking up at me with a raised brow, "How does that sound?"
"That sounds great!" I replied enthusiastically, "As a fan of sports myself, hopefully I can show game days from a new angle."
"Amazing! Our womens teams are gaining a lot more traction, not just on campus so I'm positive fans who can't make it to games in person will be grateful." Janet smiles, typing a few words then standing from her desk. "I've put your name down - at the top of the list in bold - it's always nice when applicants come and see us face to face." I smile to myself knowing that would be the case.
"Thank you for making time to see me." I say to Janet, shaking her extended hand before she leads me out of the office. "My pleasure."
Outside of Janets office is a huge ceiling to floor window with a perfect overview of the gym below. I was correct earlier, there are people working out and it is girls. I stop momentarily to take in the view below me, my mind automatically goes to my major and I wonder what paths these girls are on. Are any of them injured or coming back from injury? I'm immediately intrigued as I watch them perform different exercises.
"Those are our basketball girls." Janet breaks my daydream. "I suspect you'll be working with them a lot this semester."
I turn to her my eyes slightly widened, does that mean I've secured the job?
"If your application is successful of course." She smirks but its a knowing smirk that puts me at ease.
"Oh, and thats Kayla." She points out a specific girl in the gym, dressed differently from the others and considerably shorter so I immediately assume she's not on the team. "She works here in the main office with me. She's a great girl to know, I'll introduce you."
I follow Janet back down the stairs and through the same corridors we took less than thirty minutes ago. This time I take more care as I look at the pictures on the walls, the basketball team seem to take up the majority. I spot names like Sue Bird and Diana Taurasi which I am familiar with but not too much, in all honesty I've never watched a full game of basketball in my life. As we get closer to the end of the corridor where the pictures get more recent I notice one girl in particular, a blonde, she seems to always be in the middle of group photos, her teammates looking at her with admiration. Her smile contagious, making me smile as if I'm in the picture myself.
"Prepare yourself." Janet laughs as we approach the weight room door. "What for?" I ask now not so curious about going inside as I was earlier. "They're a lively lot." Is all she says before pushing open the door.
I take a sharp inhale, anxiety creeping in as I follow Janet into the room of athletes.
Every single one of my senses was hit walking into the weight room. The noises that were once muffled by the closed doors were now loud and clear. The room was significantly colder than the rest of the building for obvious reasons but I wrapped my arms around myself nonetheless. Thanks to my deep inhale on walking in, I was only now getting a waft of what smelt like a mix of sweat and fruit. I say a silent prayer that its the girls in here because I know for a fact it would be sweat mixed with more sweat if it was the boys. My eyes scanned the room quickly taking in what I just seen from above. I recognised some of the girls from the photos on the walls, not the blonde though. She wasn't here. Maybe she was a senior and had graduated already, a shame if that is the case.
"Hello ladies." Janet calls over the booming music. One by one the girls turn their attention to us and smile or wave and I return the pleasantries.
"A new commit?" I hear a voice behind me ask before feeling a hand press down on each of my shoulders. I unconsciously tense at the surprise contact.
"No, no. This is Lily - a junior here. She just applied for a job in the department so I'm showing her around." Janet explains and the girl that just had her hands on my shoulders walks in front of me revealing herself.
"Oh damn my bad, I got excited for a second." She laughed a little embarrassed, "I'm KK, nice to meet you." The girl introduced herself.
"Nice to meet you, KK." I smile at the basketball player and she goes to join the rest of girls who are now teasing her for basically jumping on my back. I didn't mind, it just caught me off guard. Besides, I'd rather these girls be overly friendly than cold and moody especially if I'll be working with them soon.
"I'm Paige." A slender hand extends itself to me, coming from the same direction KK came from. I take the hand in mine before looking to see who exactly 'Paige' was. "Hi-" my words get lodged in my throat.
There she was.
The girl from the photos. The blonde with the contagious smile and, I'm now realising, extremely blue eyes like the bluest eyes I've ever seen.
I compose myself quickly, "Hi Paige, I'm Lily." I manage without stuttering as I shake the girls hand before letting go, somewhat reluctantly.
Her hand was bigger than mine and it was warm pressed against my palm, my hand tingled where her touch just was.
"What's your major?" She asks and she seems genuinely interested.
"Kinesiology." I reply, turning my full attention to Paige, my back now to Janet.
"Interesting! You'll get along perfect here, lots of bad knees." She says lifting her leg showing off a nasty scar before tapping me on the shoulder and joining KK and the others.
"Lily hasn't got the job yet, Paige." Janet called after the girl who turned around, "You know what to do Jan!" She called back with a grin.
The girls giggled as she joined them and she playfully shoved one of them away. I couldn't hear their hushed words over the music but the way Paige glanced back at me, making direct eye contact, made me think it was about me or maybe I was just delusional hoping the pretty girl was in fact talking about me. I quickly averted my gaze.
The type of scar and placement on Paige's knee made me assume she had suffered an ACL tear. Tough, if I was correct. ACLs are a horrible injury to face but I can tell by the way she squats with a barbell rested on her shoulders, her form perfect, posture just right that it was healed. Suddenly my gaze was no longer diverted and I was just staring.
Janet introduced me to Kayla and we spoke for a few minutes, mainly about Kayla's role and how excited she would be if I joined the team as, and I quote, "The Athletics Department needed more girls behind the scenes."
We left the weight room together, Janet bidding us farewell at the door and Kayla and I walking to the exit of the building side by side.
"Welcome to UConn, by the way. I'm guessing you transferred here? I haven't seen you around before." Kayla says to me.
"Thank you! Yes, I just transferred from Massachusetts. So far, so good." I smile as we step outside into the warm August weather.
"It really is great here. Give me your number and we'll meet up, I know you just met Paige and KK but I'll introduce you to the others as well." She says pulling her phone from her back pocket and handing it to me.
I type my number in her phone saving my contact as Lily Kent - my full name. "That will be fun, thank you. I only know my roommates at the moment so I appreciate it." I hand Kayla back her phone.
"Thats the perks of working in sports, you make whole teams of friends." She says proudly.
"I need as many as I can get, it's kinda scary being the new girl. Maybe I'll meet some more tonight, we're going to a bar." I tell my, hopefully, new friend.
"Not the famous Huskies?" Kayla asks sending me a quizzical look. "Yes! The famous Huskies." I laugh, seems like this place has quite the reputation. "Perfect! We'll see you there then."
"We'll"? We all? As in possibly Paige? Suddenly I need to go back to the apartment take an everything shower, beat the hell out of my face and put together the best outfit I own.
˖ ᡣ𐭩 ⊹ ࣪ ౨ৎ˚₊✧˚ · .
I wrapped myself in my robe and stepped out of the bathroom. All three of my roommates were in the living area of our apartment. "Hey guys!" I chirped, strolling into my room.
"Hey Lils, what are you wearing tonight?" Hannah asked following me into my bedroom. I looked back at her and we both glanced around my room and laughed.
Before taking a shower I attempted to choose an outfit which had resulted in me tearing my wardrobe apart, clothes now covering the majority of my bed and floor.
"Ok girl, never fear - Hannah is here." Hannah reassured sitting slap bang in the middle of the floor reaching for random items of clothing. "It's definitely a casual vibe but also our first night out. Not all students are back on campus yet but the athletes are so arguably thats even more of a reason to look good." She side eyed me from her place on the floor.
Could Hannah read my mind?
I hadn't mentioned my interaction or reaction to Paige to any of my roommates yet. Mainly because I had made a pact with Kelsey to stay single - not that Paige was in anyway trying to make me her girlfriend but also because I knew we'd probably see her tonight and three tipsy girls around their friends crush well, it wouldn't stay a secret lets just say that.
I also deep down knew that it was probably way too soon for me to even be thinking about another relationship but I can admire from afar right?
I was with my ex-girlfriend for almost two years before it finally ended in May, three months ago. 21 out of the 22 months we dated, we kept our relationship a secret from pretty much everyone. My best friend, Emma knew but that was it. That was the way we both wanted it, neither of us were out and we enjoyed sneaking around and having a genuinely private, private life.
That was until April when I accidentally left my phone in the library and it was found by someone who I thought was my friend. I stupidly had a picture of me and my girlfriend kissing as my lock screen. My phone was returned to me and everyone acted normal, I thought they hadn't noticed. Until that night, a picture of my lock screen was posted into our group chat and all hell broke loose. I felt physically sick at the words used to describe me and my girlfriend.
I was told I was sick, I needed help, I needed to find God and repent. I was told I was better off dead. It all very quickly became too much and I removed myself from the group chat and hoped to avoid the girls that were a part of it.
Unfortunately, there was no avoiding one another when your families knew each other. My girlfriend and I were promptly outed to all of our friends and families against our wishes. It put a lot of pressure on us. I was lucky to have kept a best friend in Emma. She stood by my side when nobody else did. My family were understanding, confused for a while but they came round and accepted me for who I am.
My girlfriend wasn't as lucky and that is what ultimately broke us apart. I don't blame her, she chose a relationship with her family and not being disowned over me. I can't blame her.
I blamed myself though. Me and my stupid lock screen had ruined us. I quickly fell into a downward spiral that was impossible to save myself from. I was drowning and I didn't know how to swim. I have a history of depression and I stopped taking my medication, I had lost all will to even try and continue with life and one night I decided I was done.
Life was not worth living if it was like this.
"Ok! How about this skirt, with this top?" Hannah asked holding up a distressed mini denim skirt and black bandeau top.
I looked at the outfit in her hands seeing the vision. "Yes, but swap the top for this one." I say holding up a long sleeve black shirt instead.
"Girl, it's August and we're going to be inside. You do not need long sleeves." I swallowed, I knew this would come up sooner or later. "Yes I do." Was all I said and luckily Hannah dropped the subject and threw me my skirt.
"Get ready! I'm going to change, we're leaving in an hour." The blonde girl stood up from my bedroom floor and left me alone to get dressed.
"Here, drink up." Kelsey placed a red cup, full to the brim, on my desk as I applied my mascara, finishing off my makeup.
"What's this?" I ask not waiting for an answer before taking a swig of the unknown drink. Vodka. It was definitely vodka and something else. I winced at the intensity of the cocktail. "It's the Kelsey Special of course!" My roommate laughed taking a sip from her own cup.
"Oh close your eyes!" She said doing a little jump, "I have a surprise for you."
“A surprise? For me?” I say doing as she says.
"Ok open!" I opened my eyes to see Kelseys hand opened in front of me, a danity string bracelet laying in her palm. "What's this?" I ask taking the thread into my own hands and admiring the intricate plait it was braided into. "It's official Single Sisters merch, duh!" She exclaims taking it back from me and tying it around my left wrist, she held up her own wrist showing off her matching bracelet. "I love them Kels!" I smile as I get up and pull her into a hug, "Thank you." "You're so welcome Lils, now lets get drunk!" And with that she drags me out of my bedroom, drinks in hand, into the kitchen where Hannah and Madison are pouring shots.
By the time we reach Huskies, its safe to say I'm tipsy. I'm not sure how many shots were consumed back at the apartment but I had another cup of the Kelsey Special and my body felt tingly and almost numb, it felt nice. I wasn't new to drinking and I knew my limit so I knew I'd be fine. We each got a drink as soon as we entered the bar and headed straight for the dance floor. The bar was decently busy, I scanned the room, no sign of Kayla...or Paige.
I'm not sure how long I had been dancing with my roommates before I felt an arm drape over my shoulders, "Hey hottie!" I flicked my head round and was met with Kaylas smiling face. "Oh my god, hiii!" I exclaim pulling her in for a hug, the alcohol had definitely hit. "These are my roommates! Kelsey, Hannah and Madison." I say pointing at the three girls individually, Kayla introduced herself as I finished the remainder of my drink.
"Come meet the girls!" Kayla shouted over the loud music, ushering us through the crowd over to a table in the corner of the bar.
She went around the entire group aquainting us with each other. I was now able to put names to the faces of the girls I'd seen in the gym earlier in the day.
Ice, Nika, Aliyah, Azzi, Aubrey and Jana.
"And of course you already met KK and Paige." Kayla says pointing behind me as Paige and KK approached us, multiple drinks in each of their hands.
I'm unsure whether it was the copious amounts of alcohol in my system or the moody low lighting of the bar but Paige looked particularly majestic as she sauntered over to the group. She had this vibe that seemed to follow her. Multiple heads turned in her direction and something told me she knew how hot she was.
KK was quick to put down the drinks she held and embrace me, I hugged the girl back taking in her sweet scent. Paige wasn't so quick, she handed drinks to her teammates and they thanked her before she turned her attention to me and my roommates. She introduced herself to Kelsey, Hannah and Madison giving them all a quick side hug.
"Hi Lily." She says, her eyes looking directly into mine. I have to look up slightly, the girl has some inches on me, "Hello Paige!" I can't help the stupid grin that spreads across my face as she leans in to hug me, not like the other girls, I'm encapsulated by both her arms, I swear if I was a cartoon character this is the moment my eyes would turn into red love hearts. Her scent was different from KKs, more vanilla-y, musky almost, warm.
"First time in Huskies calls for one thing: INITIATION SHOTS!" Nika says pulling me from Paige and leading me to the bar, her hands on my shoulders.
Once we all have a shot in our hands, Nika looks at me, "Ok one fact about you that no one knows!" She says pursing her lips.
God, the list was endless.
"I'm allergic to nuts." That was the most mundane fact that came to my mind.
"And not just the food kind!" Kelsey exclaims making the girls laugh before we knock back our shots.
Kelseys joke seemed to either go over everyones head or life really was different here in Connecticut and no one hated me because I was gay. Either way I felt comfortable around these girls, welcomed and it was a nice feeling.
I was reaching my limit but still found myself stumbling slightly towards the bar.
"Easy there." A hand grabbed my elbow balacing me before I was able to steady myself. "Thank you." I giggled and my words came out slurred.
I had definitely reached my limit but I waved the bar man over. "Vodka cranberry please!" I ordered feeling the hand move from my elbow to my lower back.
Who the hell was this?
I turned my gaze to my left seeing a guy slightly taller than me with brown shaggy hair smirking down at me. With one hand occupied on my lower back, the other dug into his pocket and he pulled out his card, "Let me get this for you." He says as he goes to pay for my drink. "No, it's OK." I say simply, trying to shrug him off. "Let me." He insists pulling me closer to him.
I was starting to feel uncomfortable when I felt his arm get yanked off of me, "She said it's OK, bro." Paige had inserted herself between me and the creep and gave him a light shove away. "Are you OK?" She asks looking at me sincerely, brows furrowed together. I nod, "I'm fine." I say as I pay for my drink. "Are you sure?" She double checks. "I promise, Paige. I've dealt with worse than a drunk guy in a bar." I reassure her. "As long as you're OK." She says, wrapping an arm around my shoulder as we walk back to the table her teammates were once gathered around.
Paige sits down at the booth and I intently watch as she tucks a strand of hair behind her ear and reajusted her t-shirt.
"You like what you see?" Paige is smirking now and I've been caught red handed.
"I um- I-"
Pull yourself together Lily!
"I wasn't staring." I defend myself lazily. Paige laughs, "But you were staring in the gym earlier." She says matter of factly, raising her brows at me.
I feel my cheeks burn, well and truly red handed.
"What?" Is all I can manage as a response.
"The walls are mirrored babe, just because you were behind me doesn't mean I didn't see you." If it was even possible, my cheeks got hotter with embarrassment.
"Cocky much?" I taunt the basketball player before taking a long, needed sip of my drink.
"When it makes you this flustered, yes." She says reaching out for my wrist, pulling me to sit next to her.
We're so close our legs are touching and I can smell the mix of vanilla and musk again. "Tell me something about yourself Lily. Something other than your allergy to nuts...not just the food kind." Oh god.
I muster every sober fibre inside of me to think of something that doesn't qualify as a trauma dump. I look down at my hands, the bracelet Kelsey gifted me earlier poking out of the bottom of my sleeve.
"I joined a club!" I say waving my arm up showing off the bracelet.
"Oh yeah, what club?" Paige questions, head slightly tilted. "Single sisters!" I say proudly. "It's just me and Kelsey at the moment but we made a pact to stay single all of junior year." I tell Paige about mine and my roommate's promise to each other.
She hooks a finger through the bracelet, her knuckle grazing my skin softly, and tugs gently. "Hey!" I pull my arm away afraid she'll break the delicate thread. "What are you doing?" I frown. "Just checking how secure that thing is." She looks at me with that god forsaken eye contact that she's so good at. "Wouldn't want it breaking." She says eyes still locked onto mine.
"Lilyyyyy." I begrudgingly look away from Paige to see Madison practically being held up by Kelsey and Hannah.
I thought I was drunk.
"I think it's home time." Paige says into my ear, her breath hot on my neck.
"Hi Mads." I say standing up, ignoring the fact Paiges breath had spiked my heart rate. "I think we should get her home." Hannah says and I nod turning to grab my bag.
Well, well, well.
I catch Paige, staring, right at me, I smirk to myself.
One point to Lily.
I bend slightly to pick my bag up off the table, "Looks like we both have a staring problem." I say quiet enough for just Paige to hear and quickly turn on my heel following my friends out of the bar.

Nights Like These
|| poly!plastics x stoner!nonbinary!reader
|| Warnings; swearing, underage smoking, characters are high (especially reader), short drabble
|| Summary; when everyone's at Regina's for the night, reader makes them a joint.
Requests open!
Started; November 6th
Finished; November 7th
~~~
It was late one night, you were over at Regina's place with your girlfriends. The four of you all sprawled along her bed, with you rolling a joint for everyone to share. Something you'd done a number of times. So it didn't take you long to have it ready. Regina snatched it from your hands. Taking the first puff from it.
"Fuck, that hits." She muttered, falling back into the bedsheets as she hands the joint back over to you. You give her a smile and take a puff before giving it to Karen, who does the same. Then Gretchen. All three of you cuddling up on Regina. Just taking the night to relax. Tomorrow was Saturday, so you had all the time in the world to just get high and vibe. Nights like these were your favourite. The quiet, stolen moments with your popular girlfriends behind closed doors.
The four of you continued passing the joint around until it was finished. You were well into your high, giggling with Karen and Gretchen about god knows what. Regina was the most relaxed out of all of you. A look of pure bliss on her face as she sat up and forced you closer. You laughed as you were suddenly pulled.
"Ginaaaa~!" You giggled and she smiled, moving your hair aside to place a kiss to the back of your neck. Gretchen sapped a photo of the two of you and grinned.
"You guys are like so cute." She commented, Karen was far too out of it to really know what was going on. Gretchen made sure to keep an eye on her.
Suddenly, Karen gasped. Getting the attention of all three of you. Gretchen looked concerned while you and Regina were a little startled. "Oh my Gosh!!!!" Karen squealed.
"What is it, mama?" Gretchen asked, more than a little confused. You and Regina shared a look as Regina snuck another kiss onto your neck.
"... I forgot." Karen shrugged, Gretchen sighed. Her shoulders relaxed when she realized nothing bad had happened.
"It's okay." Gretchen gave her shoulder a pat and Karen giggled, pulling the girl into a kiss.
"Gasp! Lesbians!" You pointed at them. Yeah, you were really fucking high. Regina rolled her eyes and playfully hit the back of your head.
"Idiot. You're queer too." Regina muttered, getting another gasp out of you.
"What???" When you were high, you were more often than not incredibly stupid. It always baffled Regina. Leaving her completely bewildered as she just stared at you.
"Oh my God." Regina rolled her eyes, honestly. Some days she wondered why she was dating you. You're lucky you're hot.
