I NEED HELP WITH IDEAS

Ok guys i need an advice. After finishing my character illustrations for the first two books, i have finally started illustrating the third book Blood of Elves.

Here are characters i've drawn/plan to draw:

Ciri, Vesemir, Eskel, Lambert, Coen, Triss, Philippa, Dijkstra, Rience, Vizimir, Demavend, Henselt, Meve, Cahir (masked), Emhyr, Jarre, Shani, random scoiatel warrior...

I read it some time ago, so scenes got mixed up. I think francesca, vilgefortz, artau and tissia have very small roles in this book, so idk if i should draw them.

Please suggest any character that was interesting or unique looking. I'd specifically like non humans (i've drawn Yarpen) or nilfgaardians. However, these characters should either appear in future books, or they should have prominent role in this one.

So please remind me of more interesting or important characters, i didn't focus much on political figures (other than kings), so i forgot most of them, i didn't even realise who stefan skellen was until the sixth book. Im also not sure if codringer and fenn appear in this book?

Anyway, please advise me and provide with some small details regarding their looks

as much as I love TWN for fleshing out the Sorceress characters like Tissaia, Yennefer, Triss, and Fringilla to the point that because of just how well they are played by the actresses I like them more than their book counterparts

however, it is a shame that because they do only have 8 episodes they had to cut most of the female characters that aren't sorceresses

I was thinking about this since the only casting announcements so far we've gotten for season 4, save Nimue have been male characters

I am glad we got Vespula in S3 and that we are getting Essi in the animated Sirens movie ( thank you Joey Batey, who I am sure pushed for the appearance of both of these characters)

but I wish they wouldn't have completely cut Shani, Rayla, or the two Iola`s (who easily could have been combined into one character)

( am I forgetting anyone?, female characters that appear in more than one book but arnt sorceresses)

and we will have to wait and see if Anna Henrietta (even if her role would have to be different) or Angoulême will make appearances or if Meve returns

I honestly wouldn't mind if the characters above appeared in a different role in the plot or different context as long as they weren't OOC to the point of being in name only like Eskel and Margarita

and I also wish they would show female soldiers since it is canon that the Nilfgaardian army is mixed-gendered,

Eskel

I never find this guy hideous. In fact he is probably more popular that Geralt when it comes to TW3 game fandom. He's charming all around and cuddly!

Olgierd von Everec

I am torn between helping this poor sod or handing his smoldering skull to O'Dimm. Mr. Olgierd "David Beckham" von Everec is hands down the most well designed Redanian I've set my eyes on. He is desperation personified and how that drove him into signing his soul to the devil.

Radovid

...Mad Rad is a result of mistreatment. As much as I want to sympathize with the Redanian king, I'd rather relieve the North of him. He is so black and white in the game that I can't see the shades of gray.

Cerys an Craite

Cerys is an anomaly. She is that rare gem glittering under a pile of pebbles. Wise, patient, but feisty. The thinking Skelliger and it's just right to place her on the throne of the Isle than her impulsive brother.

The guy has no interest in relationships imho (that means Im not sold on the Trisskel ship), but I've been meaning to launch a rarepair with the scarred wolf with an equally scarred lass: Cerys. Story is still rolling in my head but I dub the ship Cerskel!

Olgierd von Everec

The OG pairing Iris x Olgierd. The canon pair for me. But since that ship has sailed, Olgierd is the lone surviving von Everec, maybe Im up for a Shani x Olgierd. Im also down for Ciri x Olgierd since I saw a fanart of it and it piqued my interest.

Radovid

Honesty I wouldn't bother shipping him. But if I must, then his one and only Adda the White and no one else.

Cerys an Craite

As I mentioned above, I'll be launching the Cerskel (Cerys/Eskel) ship someday. Other than that, I ship her with Ciri as two powerful monarchs that finally, or at least, smoothen the animosity between their realms. Make love not war and all that. Apart from that, I paired her with Folan, if he didnt die in the Battle of Kaer Morhen.

My non-romantic OTP for this character:

Eskel

Wolf Brother Lambert. Eskel is the only guy who has the patience to put up with his prickliness. They share stories and frustrations over mugs of The Gauntlet or vodka.

Olgierd von Everec

As I am also open to a Shani x Olgierd, I am also shipping them in a non-romantic concept. Shani cheers a newly mortal Olgierd of the fun she had with Vlodmir and help him professionally with moving on. Kinda farfetch since Shani is a medic, not a therapist. But she is a kind and caring individual regardless of their colors.

Radovid

Radovid and Roche. If Radovid wins the war, Roche takes the role of mentor for his future queen Anais and an ambassador of her kingdom to Radovids' Redania. Roche will have to get used to trading his blue stripes with red.

Cerys an Craite

Yennefer and Cerys. The queen of the Isle sees Yennefer as one powerful woman who knows how to wrap a man, any man, around her little finger. heck, Yennefer even had a romantic history with Crach, so Yennefer acts as a good council when dealing with these menfolk who might see Cerys as a wet behind the ears wench. And having Yennefer in an advisorial capacity can be the bridge between Cerys kingdom and Ciri's empire.

My unpopular opinion about this character:

Eskel

He is clearly an expert in his own right, maybe even more than Geralt. Calling himself just a simple witcher is a disservice to his craft, and a wasted potential.

Olgierd von Everec

Now that I think about it, he should be handed over to O'Dimm for squandering his gifts and not treating Iris right.

Radovid

For a genius, he sure is dumb for not figuring out that Sigi Reuven is a name put together from his old enemy Sigismund Djikstra and Djikstra's loyal secretary(?) servant Ori Reuven.

Cerys an Craite

Instead of sending Svanringe to exile or death (as is the tradition of Skellige), she should've pardoned him because he played no part in Birna's schemes, even denounced her own mother: that shows character. As the heir of Bran Tuirsseach, Svanringe could be useful as an advisor or ally.

Visits Vlodmir's grave for the last time and we get to see this before he sets out for parts unknown.

How I feel about this character, Dettlaff I never liked Dettlaff. I mean he's made to be interesting, and to an extend, his motives are understandable. And I actually felt sorry for him when he was forced to kill his friend. But... well, I think my judgment is a bit harsh because I had SUCH a hard time with him in my playthroughs 😂

If you're thinking "wait, Yennifer already fills that role!" then let me assure you: she can have more than one! Also, Yen is the vodka aunt on Geralt's side; Ciri clearly needs one on Jaskier's side too!

Pyrkon is probably the biggest fantasy convent in Poland. I've kept my eyes open for the witcher of course. I spotted Yennefer, two Ciris, Shani, Triss, Eskel and a Leshen. All game ones. My own Yennefer was based on the book description.

while you pretty much already answered this when you said you were disappointed they completely cut shani from the show ( I agree she is one of my favorite of the more minor characters and one of the few female characters from the witcher that is not either royaly or a sorsercess) but who do you think is the most important book character that the show completely cut out?, they included some of the more unimportant mage characters in the ball and coup episodes and they are including characters like Nimue, Stribog and Assire next season, and they aren't done announcing the casting for season 4 yet so we will see if they include Angoulême earlier so she can have a big more time to be fleshed out than she does in the books

They already have Milva and Regis so I expect we'll see Angoulême. She has a great backstory, and I would love to see it in depths. (Even though Stygga Castle is really going to hurt) Just hoping they don't cut out Anna Henrietta or The Aen Elle. I think the reason they cut Shani as well as Geralt's dragon threesome/foursome? and Triss' romance out because they wanted to make his relationship with Yen more romantic. Which I get. Even though I loved Shani. (my forever girl) As for the cut out... Honestly if I had to pick, I would say Eskel. I know he was not cut out per say, but they killed him off and I thought that was a really bad choice. It didn't add anything to the show or to Geralt. It just pissed us off. I'm also curious what is going to happen since they killed Rience off early. Who is going to partner up with Leo Bonhart and Stefan Skellen? I will take a lot of flak for saying this, but despite all this I really enjoyed the show personally. I look at the show like a fun fanfiction instead of taking it as heresy. (I have been told 'drink piss wh0re' by 'fanboys' because I enjoyed the show. I get being passionate about a show, but trying to hurt real people over fiction... sad. Very sad) I feel bad for the actors that are just doing their jobs taking all that abuse.

Not quite in the way Shani had, which had been more genuine and selfless in motivation, but even so. It could have been far worse. She nodded, her eyes sparkling with a hint of mischief. "As much as I'd love to lounge around with you all day, Eskel, I do have matters to attend to. The world doesn't stop because we decide to take a breather." She plucked a grape from the platter, popped it into her mouth, and chewed slowly, the sweetness of the fruit mingling with the tartness of the wine. Her gaze never left his, and there was something in her expression that was a little bit different than what he was used to seeing from her, softer, gentle, around him now as she would hum a little bit, she had things to do of course, erase all trace of herself here, remove her magic, and ensure no one ever knew she had ever been here in the first place.

She chuckled, setting the wine aside. "I will not take long to have things done here, and then I can come with you. You need the company, that much is clear. You have barely been looking after yourself, disgraceful." She reached for a piece of bread, tore it in half, and offered it to him, which he took with a smile.

Then, well she moved and leaned back against the pillows, her eyes flickering to the tray of food before returning to his. "Witch hunters are running around this area, a great many as well, might deal with them, depending, on how many wanted posters to have my face on it." She took a bite of the bread, chewing thoughtfully before continuing. "They have been killing for weeks now, and before you ask, I know your stance of humans, bandits, rogues, and villains, so don’t worry, not asking you to kill them, I’ll deal with them myself."

She shrugged, a playful smirk curling her lips. "Besides, this lot here has been causing me headaches. They're not just seeking power; they're seeking knowledge. Forbidden knowledge, from what I've heard." She picked up a piece of cheese, nibbling at it delicately. "They've been raiding ancient ruins, seeking artifacts and tomes, power and knowledge, and they destroy them once they have them within their stupid little hands."

It’s better to leave the witch hunters stationed here, dead and buried, to ensure they cannot and will not pester her going forward, but one thing at a time as she would relax on the pillows and pick at the food, breathing out softy, a good night, a better morning, and she was as relaxed and unwound as a kitten, as she continued to pick at the food and eat away at it.
