Let's Hear it for the Humphead Wrasse
The humphead wrasse, Cheilinus undulatus, is also known as the Māori wrasse, Napoleon wrasse, or the blue- tooth grouper. They can usually be found around coral reefs and steep rocky cliffs in the Indo-Pacific, particularly on the east coast of Africa, the west coast of India, and the tropical waters of southeast Asia and the Great Barrier Reef.
The Māori wrasse gets its name from the distinctive markings that adults carry. Males are blue-green or purple, while females are more often red or orange. Both have unique patterns of lines and dots covering their heads, and stripes running down the rest of their body; early researchers compared the patterns on their heads to the tattoos traditionally used by the Māori people. In addition to its striking coloration, C. undulatus is also known for being the largest member of the wrasse family. Males can reach up to 2 m (6.5 ft) long and weigh up to 180 kg (396 lbs), while females tend to be smaller. Males also have a large 'hump' on their foreheads, hence the name humphead wrasse.
Another feature of note in C. undulatus is the set of large teeth fused into a parrot-like beak. They use this beak to predate upon hard-shelled animals like mollusks, urchins, sea stars, and crustaceans. On occasion, they also feed on smaller fish and moray eels. Due to their size, adults have very few natural predators aside from sharks, but larvae and small juveniles are more often opportunistically hunted by other fish.
Like many coral reef fish, the humphead wrasse is a protogynous hermaphrodite. This means that most individuals begin life as a female, and become male later in life-- known as 'super males', they are larger than males who did not transition. Individuals first become sexually mature at 5-7 years old, and females begin transitioning to male at 9-12 years old. Spawning occurs a few times a year, and during this period over a hundred adults can congregate in an area. The female releases about 20 eggs into the water column, where they are fertilized by her chosen partner. Three to four weeks later, the eggs hatch and the larvae migrate to the nearby reef.
Conservation status: C. undulatus is considered Endangered by the IUCN. Populations have declined due to overfishing and by-catch mortalities, loss of their food sources, habitat destruction, and capture of juveniles for the aquarium trade.
If you send me proof that you’ve made a donation to UNRWA or another organization benefiting Palestinians– including esim donations– I’ll make art of any animal of your choosing.

Worth noting that self-immolation is the most extreme act of individual protest the human race has right now. It is also what kicked off the Arab Spring revolutions.
Sorry. I think it just is sitting with me how much none of us support the genocide of children, Palestinian Children, and yet it’s like we’re fucking caught in the laundry wringer. This is complete madness. This CAN’T be the most advanced society can be. This is barbaric! We are a thousand times more savage now than any murderer two hundred years ago. Not just because we murder more but because we shrug it off as a boost to the economy.
…is there actually any way to stop this without breaking down the entire system? Because I would rather break down the system, suffer the consequences we’ve delayed for HUNDREDS of years, and move on than continue to say “Oh well! You know! I can’t do anything about it :( I need to focus on the things I could control :(“
….sorry. I’m just. To know this, this act that has only really been remembered in Western culture as when India was fighting of British oppression, has happened again. In my country. Because MY country is the oppressor and giving other oppressors tips. It will mean nothing…..nothing…this man just burned away his entire life and future and it means nothing to the boy-gods pretending they can control nature itself.
Sickening. It’s just fucking sickening. Guess I’ll donate another esim and see if I can sleep tonight.

As an Indian living in India, though not from a bjp ruled state, is it safe to send esim via my mail to those who are organizing for gaza?
Well, buying a SIM connection for another person's use isn't really permitted. India has some of the world's toughest regulations when it comes to buying prepaid sims, and they've been tightened recently to require identity verification before you buy a SIM.
Now, I don't really expect you to be prosecuted if you buy a few sims unless you're muslim or already labelled as anti national. But it might be smarter to route that purchase through someone who doesn't live in India or atleast through a bank account that isn't on Indian soil. Your email isn't really the dangerous vector here, just get an anonymous protonmail account you use on a VPN. The money is.
There is a crackdown on pro Palestine expression in general in India, though I assume you know that if you're asking me.

Hi I remember you once posted about a march for Palestine in Kolkata. In that sense, I want to ask if it is safe to send esims as an Indian living in India? I am from west Bengal but I am not sure if it will get me in trouble. I don't really have any money or any social resource to back me up. So this is why I was asking.
Hi! Thanks for the question and I really appreciate you wanting to help.
The easiest and safest way is to find someone from Europe or North America to buy it for you and you pay them the money.
You can also buy it through Simly, HolaFly or NOMAD, and select Middle East regional data plan. NOMAD isn't available in India but you can access it through VPN. I don't mean to sound alarmist and as far as I'm aware there hasn't been any arrests based on search histories, but every state is a surveillance state and the central government does have access to your search history through LIM. If you are worried, I'd recommend doing it from a cyber cafe that you usually don't visit. Here is a guide if you want to go ahead with it.
Here and here are some other ways you can help.

Roaming No More: How eSIM is Changing the Way We Travel in Asia
Traveling in Asia is an incredible experience, from exploring the vibrant streets of Bangkok to visiting the ancient temples of Kyoto. But one thing that can quickly dampen the excitement of your trip is the dreaded roaming charges and unreliable connectivity. Fortunately, with the rise of eSIM technology, travelers are now able to roam seamlessly across Asia without the worry of excessive fees or the hassle of swapping physical SIM cards.
Tumblr media
Let’s dive into how eSIM is transforming the travel experience in Asia and why it's the future of international connectivity.
1. Say Goodbye to Roaming Fees
Roaming charges can accumulate quickly when traveling abroad, especially in a vast and diverse continent like Asia. Traditional SIM cards often incur hefty fees for data usage, calls, and texts, making it an expensive option for staying connected. However, with MTALK eSIM for Asia travel, you get local rates at your destination, meaning no more outrageous bills when you return home. You only pay for the data you need, and you enjoy 100% roaming-free charges.
This makes eSIM a cost-effective solution, whether you’re hopping from city to city or exploring more remote destinations.
2. Seamless Connectivity Across Multiple Countries
One of the biggest advantages of using an eSIM is the ability to maintain connectivity across different countries without having to switch SIM cards. With traditional SIMs, every time you move to a new country in Asia, you’d need to purchase a local SIM, set it up, and hope it works smoothly. This process can be time-consuming, frustrating, and inconvenient—especially if you’re traveling across multiple borders.
With MTALK eSIM, you can activate one eSIM plan that covers multiple countries in Asia, i.e Australia, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Macau, Malaysia, Pakistan, Singapore, South Korea, Sri Lanka, Taiwan, Thailand, Uzbekistan, and Vietnam, without needing to switch physical cards. This means uninterrupted service, so you can stay connected with friends, access maps, and share your travel adventures on social media without any delays.
3. Fast and Reliable Internet in Every Destination
Asia is home to both bustling metropolises and remote natural wonders. Whether you're navigating the high-tech streets of Tokyo or trekking through the forests of Bali, staying connected is crucial. MTALK eSIM provides fast and reliable internet with local connectivity in each country, ensuring that you have access to high-speed data no matter where you are.
Unlike depending on inconsistent Wi-Fi networks or paying for expensive roaming packages, our eSIM gives you the freedom to enjoy fast internet for navigation, restaurant bookings, and keeping in touch with loved ones without interruption.
4. Instant Setup and Easy Installation
Traveling should be all about enjoying the sights and experiences—not worrying about technical hassles. With MTALK eSIM, installation is a breeze. Forget about visiting SIM card shops, waiting in line, or fiddling with your phone’s SIM tray. Our eSIM installation is 100% digital. You simply purchase your eSIM plan online, scan the QR code, and activate it in minutes.
The best part? You can even set it up before you arrive in Asia, so you land with internet ready to go.
5. Perfect for All Types of Travelers
Whether you’re a backpacker exploring Southeast Asia, a digital nomad working from co-working spaces in Chiang Mai, or a business traveler attending conferences in Shanghai, eSIM technology caters to all types of travelers. Its flexibility, ease of use, and cost efficiency make it an ideal choice for anyone who values staying connected while traveling in Asia.
With MTALK eSIM, you can keep track of your data usage, top up when needed, and switch between plans effortlessly, making it perfect for both short vacations and extended stays.
6. 24/7 Customer Support
When you're in a new country, things can sometimes go wrong, and the last thing you want is to deal with connectivity issues in an unfamiliar location. That’s why MTALK provides 24/7 support to assist you whenever needed. Whether you're facing setup issues or have questions about your data usage, our dedicated team is always available to help.
This peace of mind means you can focus on enjoying your travels without worrying about technical issues.
7. Environmental Benefits
Traditional SIM cards contribute to plastic waste, as millions of SIM cards are discarded each year. By switching to an eSIM, you're also making a more environmentally friendly choice. Since the eSIM is digital, there’s no physical waste involved, reducing the environmental footprint of your travels.
Ready for Your Next Adventure?
Get your MTALK eSIM for Asia today and enjoy seamless, hassle-free internet access during your travels. Stay connected, roam freely, and explore the beauty of Asia with the convenience of a MTALK eSIM.
Conclusion: eSIM – The Future of Travel in Asia
As more travelers explore Asia, the demand for convenient, affordable, and reliable connectivity will only continue to grow. eSIM technology is at the forefront of this transformation, offering a smarter way to stay connected while reducing costs and eliminating the hassles of traditional SIM cards.
MTALK eSIM is here to revolutionize the way you travel in Asia. With 100% roaming-free charges, local fast internet connectivity, easy installation, and 24/7 support, it’s the ultimate travel solution for the modern explorer.

Tumblr media
https://www.tripadvisor.com/ShowTopic-g304551-i3482-k14690222-Sim_cards_at_Delhi_airport_and_question_about_e_sims-New_Delhi_National_Capital_Territory_.html
Airalo:2GB
GlobalYoは1GB1日1.39USD=204円

Smart Card Market : Analysis of Upcoming Trends and Current Growth
The Smart card market size is projected to reach USD 16.9 billion by 2026, from USD 13.9 billion in 2021; growing at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 4.0% during the forecast period.
Major drivers for the growth of the smart card market are surged demand for contactless card (tap-and-pay) payments amid COVID-19, proliferation of smart cards in healthcare, transportation, and BFSI verticals; increased penetration of smart cards in access control and personal identification applications; and easy access to e-government services and risen demand for online shopping and banking.

Smart cards are used to purchase tickets in metros, buses, and ferries, among others, in several countries in APAC. China is projected to witness the highest demand for smart cards in the region owing to a large consumer base and the presence of a number of smart card manufacturers.
Properly implemented smart cards in all sectors have proven highly effective in combating thefts and fraud. Government projects, such as the Aadhar card in India, drive the demand for smart cards for use in a number of sectors. Moreover, security concerns, particularly within the public sphere, are also expected to fuel the growth of the market in APAC.
