Carson was lying on her changing table as Wyatt grabbed her outfit for the day, it was just a simple pink floral dress with a ruffle bottom.

Wyatt easily slipped the clothes on his daughter and smiled thinking she just looked adorable but then again he thinks she always looks adorable.

It was his draft day and it didn’t really feel like anything special because he was home for his draft because of Covid.

He picked her up setting her on his hip as her little hand grabbed one of his fingers. He pressed a soft kiss to her head and glanced at the mirror at his suit, he had changed into his suit before he changed her.

Wyatt kept a protective grip on his daughter as they heeded downstairs seeing quite a lot of family and friends, Carson has not been around this many people and it made him a bit uncomfortable to have her around this many people.

“This is a lot of people petit ours.” Wyatt softly mumbled to daughter, calling her little bear in french.

Carson just blinked at him and babbled softly making Wyatt smile softly and press a kiss to her forehead.

Wyatt reluctantly made his rounds around the house letting people meet Carson and he had to bit back a smile every time someone tried to hold her and Carson just hid her face the best she could against her Dad.

“That’s my girl.” Wyatt mumbled smiling as he walked away from someone he didn’t like very much and Carson wouldn’t even look at the woman, he pressed a kiss to her soft cheek.

Wyatt eventually found his way to the couch and sat down still holding his daughter, he had decided he wasn’t going to announce anything about having a kid wanting the privacy but he wasn’t hiding her, he knew most people are gonna assume she’s just his sister.

Wyatt gently played with her little blonde curls as the draft started and he was waiting patiently and hopefully to get called and be drafted.

The twenty third pick was the Dallas Stars and their pick was Wyatt Johnston.

Wyatt smiled standing up and he pressed a kiss to Carson’s head, she was just happily in his arms looking up at him with a gummy smile as Wyatt started hugging the rest of their family celebrating his big moment.

Wyatt had to do something media and recently handed Carson to Quinn.

“Is it Auntie Q and Carson time, yes it is.” Quinn cooed at her niece as she gently rocked Carson as she walked them toward the kitchen to get a bottle for Carson.

Quinn took Carson to her room so Carson could get some quiet, have a bottle and get a bit of sleep.

Wyatt was busy for about an hour and he looked at the draft list and he smiled been more seeing Logan always drafted to the Stars, Carson would her her godfather with her one day when they are all in Dallas.

Wyatt managed to finally get upstairs and let out a sigh of relief seeing his daughter again and he quickly crossed the room and picked her up out of her bassinet and gently rocking his sleeping daughter.

Quinn left the room letting her baby brother have some alone time with Carson.

“Guess we’ll be making a home in Dallas one day baby bear.” Wyatt softly spoke to his girl as he sat down in the rocking chair curling up as he rocked her gently, his finger gently tracing across her face memorizing every new small change.

Wyatt kissed her forehead gently, the draft was great and he was so incredibly happy to be drafted but nothing could or will ever make him happier than his daughter.
