Just kidding, but seriously, is there any more needed in a week 2 write up? I know it’s still early days but I am absolutely fucking you all! This is the year of the Turd, I can feel it, I can sense these things, this shit is mine! Sluts are going down, all fours, ass up and face down, Discipline? Discipline is out the window. Sordidus es limpia. Odusty Sr is more like it! Big Sur water is chilly and those nuggets have receded. Raj, you ARE a piece of shit. Papi G’s are gonna feel like they just desegregated the country club.  Tools? I’ll give you 10 bucks to name 5 tools. And the 49Knerrs? They are going to get straight knerdled! 

Two noteworthy matchups this week:

Turds fly to Redfield for the battle of the 2 and o’s, someone is coming out of this tussle 3-0 and projections have us less than 2 points apart. Turds @ 9Knerrs, someone gets their first L.

On the other end of the spectrum, or, speaking of spectrum, whichever you find more appropriate, “Outlet Tool Supply” is going into week 3 winless and he has to be starting to think, “Could I be on track for losing 4 out of 5 years? Would they raise enough money for Emmitt Smith this time?” Time will tell. Can the Papi G’s get back to their throbbing ways and slap a dick into a socket wrench? Gringos @ Tools, someone gets their first W!

Grace definitely has her own character arc that gets shafted (the anger that’s fueled by the tense relationship with her mom), so I’d argue against the idea that a Black female character exists only to be the love interest of a white male character. Cause it’s not like the parts of her personality or actions that aren’t not linked to her romance to Aleister (which are a LOT) go away just because PB decided to stop exploring them to the conclusion she deserved.

In that vein, axing her from the narrative and Raj could be a dangerous choice, since they are two of our central characters of color who are not love interests and whose roles are more emotion-driven than action-driven. Those type of characters are often seen as being less worthy/important in narratives across fandoms due to many biases, which I’m not saying is your reasoning! It’d just be something to consider, especially when Mike is going to remain rather than either of them.

Diego’s role I’d argue is massively central to ES’s narrative too, but like Raj, he is mostly the heart to the other’s head/body. The thing about ES is that even though it’s very much an island action mystery adventure, one of the most important facets of the story is the relationships you build with and between the other characters. Grace is able to crack Aleister’s armor because he already has an attraction to her that’s based on respect for her brilliant mind; though someone else in the cast could of course break through with time and effort, no one else can serve that role the same way Grace can.

I could go on further about Raj and Diego as well, but ultimately it’s your story, so this is 100% not meant to be a mandate or even a condemnation! Just a bit of a reminder of how the way PB has treated these characters of colors in comparison to the white/lighter characters is racist in origin, so it’s something to consider to make sure our narrative choices don’t accidentally perpetuate the same.

artisan item checklist

The amount of each artisan item you need to make. Artisan items are recursive (if you need to make juice and wine, it'll tell you to make 2 juices), but nothing else is (if someone loves a meal that involves an artisan item, it's not keeping track of that.) The entire world having ended the day the ES crew got on the flight to La Huerta and the crew only finding out six months later is one of the best plot twists in the whole damn app.

It’s even darker (and better) when you replay the story with the knowledge of the twist already. The whole world burned. Everything is gone. The gang’s friends and families all burned alive in the lava, and like Michelle says if you find the skeletons, they died quickly, but not painlessly. Raj’s grandma. Sean’s mother. Quinn’s parents. Estela’s tío. Craig’s 6 year old little brother. Everyone not on La Huerta is dead.

All of it is just so much more grisly and twisted when you replay and see the gang partying, drinking, laughing, having fun, totally unaware the whole world has burned and their families died screaming as they were incinerated alive.

To create something that morbid takes real talent. It was masterful.

A dolgok kezdenek izgalmassá válni, szerintem megszűnt ország még nem volt a blogon, hát most ez is eljött, egyből a szomszédból! Megdicsőült Jugoszláviából érkezik egy kicsit különlegesebb darab, habár ekkortájt nem volt szokatlan a bélyegértékek gyári átnyomása arrafelé. Bizony a '90-es évek elején tombolt már az elképesztő hiperinfláció, ahogy megkezdődött az állam lassú bomlása, így a dínár rohamosan vesztett értékéből, 1990-től négy év alatt összesen öt pénzreformot kellett, végrehajtani (vágták a 0-kat praktikusan), mígnem '94-ben, egyszerűen hozzákötötték az árfolyamot a német márkához.

Ez a bélyeg 1990-ből, még a folyamat elejéről származik, így még nem olyan drasztikus az átnyomás mértéke, mint a későbbiekben. Eredetileg a nyomás nélküli verzió az év eleje fele jelent meg egy négytagú 'Postai szolgáltatások' sorozat legkisebb tagjaként. Ja merthogy, bár elég borzasztóan látszik, de a képen egy postás adja át valakinek a levelét. Szóval az eredeti névérték 30 PARA, nem kell félni én is ma tudtam meg, hogy ez volt a dínár váltópénze, már amíg még volt értelme. A sorozat többi tagján telefonáló postáskisasszony látható igen raj színvilágban (40 para), földgömb és postai jelképek az 50 paráson, és egy nagy ugrással az utolsó egy 5 dináros, repülős légipostás darab. Érdemes megfigyelni, hogy a Jugoslavija felirat egyik bélyegen sem egyezik teljesen, vagy betűtípusban, vagy a méretezésben mindegyik eltér kicsit.

Na de aztán az infláció vágtatott, a bélyegnyomatok meg már megvoltak, így aztán az év második felében megjelentek a zöld 30 parás bélyegek, a nálam látható átnyomásokkal, immáron egy dínáros névértéken. Egyébként természetesen a többieket is elérte ez a sors, a 40-esből pl. két dínáros lett, ilyenek. Ezzel együtt természetesen azért ezekből jóval kevesebb lett kiadva, így aztán bár a használtak nem igazán képviselnek jelentős értéket, egy ilyen postatiszta mint az én példányom, akár 1000 forintot is kóstálhat tökéletes állapotban!
