Brazil Joins Egypt, Indonesia, Uganda, Hungary and the USA in A Declaration against Abortion
Countries sign initiative to defend traditional family; non-binding, text reinforces conservative political position
Tumblr media
The Brazilian government has teamed up with the Donald Trump administration and some of the most conservative governments globally - Egypt, Hungary, Indonesia and Uganda - to co-sponsor a political statement against abortion and in defense of the heterosexual family.
The text emphasizes that "women play a fundamental role in the family" and that "a harmonious partnership between men and women is fundamental for their well-being and that of their families."

The former two socialist leaders of Brazil were jailed and impeached, respectively. In one year, there were more than 61,000 homicides. Consider the numbers for a moment. The entire capacity of a mid-level football stadium wiped off every year by drug gangs. Added to that is the regular neo-Marxist claptrap that is slowly changing Brazilian society from within. For example, Brazil’s foreign minister recently wrote for the conservative audience in the Anglosphere,
At the same time, a left-wing agenda quickly took over Brazilian society. The promotion of gender ideology; the artificial stoking of race tensions; the displacement of parents by the government as the provider of ‘values’ to children; the infiltration of the media … the dislocation of the ‘center’ of public debate very far to the left; the misdirection of the arts through the allocation of public cultural financing; and so on—these were the results of the new government’s policies.
Dominance was thus established over the political institutions, over the economy, and over the culture: a thoroughly totalitarian enterprise. It seemed indestructible. The system only admitted debate about how best to implement itself. There was some debate on privatization, but it never went anywhere near the core of the corruption mechanism.
Sounds familiar?

The close relationship between the Bolsonaro government, the U.S. government, and its agencies, is already well known.
Brazil’s foreign policy is now fully aligned with that of the United States, with Secretary of State Pompeo signing an accord with Brazilian counterpart Ernesto Araujo for the exploitation of the Amazon in 2019. Araújo called the agreement “…the Holy Grail of Brazil’s foreign policy, at least for the private sector”. Militarily, Brazil is now effectively a U.S. Southern Command client state.
The FBI, whose collaboration on operation Lava Jato elected Bolsonaro through the jailing of opponent Lula da Silva, has been able to massively expand its extraterritorial reach into Brazil since he came to power, on the watch of former justice minister Sergio Moro. Bolsonaro became the first Brazilian President to visit CIA headquarters in March 2019 and the latest scandal confirms that his son Eduardo Bolsonaro is effectively acting as U.S. informant. In addition Eduardo has been the Bolsonaro group’s main conduit to ex Trump strategist Steve Bannon’s far-right international, ‘The Movement’. Felipe Martins, advisor to Bolsonaro and member of the so called “hate office”, worked at the U.S. Embassy from 2014-2016, during the “soft” coup to remove President Dilma Rousseff.
Meanwhile current US Ambassador to Brazil, Todd Chapman, is embroiled in his own scandal, having been caught trying to manipulate the Brazilian political process to force through a cut in ethanol tariffs for the benefit of Donald Trump’s re-election bid – which has been interpreted as a returned favour for Trump’s support.
But the idea of the Bolsonaros directly delivering intelligence on left opposition militants to the U.S. cuts to the heart of this relationship and evokes memories of CIA collaboration on Operation Condor in the 1970s. Before, during and after Bolsonaro’s election, he called for the imprisonment, forced exile, and even murder of leftists.
According to UOL, State Representative Douglas Garcia, one of the Bolsonaro family’s main allies in São Paulo, told a court that Eduardo Bolsonaro delivered a copy of his dossier containing names and details on anti-fascist militants to the United States Embassy in Brasilia. One woman whose name and private details were included has already been awarded damages. In his own social media posts, Garcia had called those named on the list “terrorists”.
Garcia’s informal document is separate from a Ministry of Justice report which listed 579 civil servants and teachers who support anti-fascist resistance, and is not the result of an official investigation. The deputy had merely requested his social media followers report to him with details of anti-fascists which he then compiled into the dossier.
The 56-page document contains the names and personal data, including photographs, of almost a thousand people.
In theory the United States can prevent the entry of the persons mentioned in the dossier, by denying or even revoking visas.
sort of a reverse of the 60s and 70s, when the cia would provide lists of people they wanted executed to new regimes in places like brazil and indonesia

in 2019, Ernesto Araujo, the Brazillian minister of Foreign Affairs (placed there by Bolsonaro), attacked Ludwig Wittgenstein:
They want Brazil to accept “the world as we found it,” to paraphrase the famous expression of Ludwig Wittgenstein.
That reference is found in paragraph 5.631 of the “Tractatus Logico-Philosophicus,” where the Anglo-Austrian philosopher asserts: “There is no such thing as the subject that thinks and entertains ideas.” That sort of avant-la-lettre postmodern deconstruction of the human subject, and denial of the reality of thought, is thus associated with the renunciation of one’s own capacity to act and influence the world, implicit in the pessimism of “taking the world as we found it.” Those are the philosophical roots of our current globalist totalitarian ideology. By denying independence of thought and the substance of ideas, it manages more and more to dominate the human self as it dictates to people: “you don’t deserve freedom because you don’t exist, you don’t exist as an independent self, you are just the sum of the parts of your body and your ideas are just social constructs, so shut up.”
I don’t like Wittgenstein.

Brazil senators say anti-China views hurt access to COVID-19 vaccines
Tumblr media
Brazilian senators on Tuesday accused the country’s former foreign minister of undermining efforts to obtain COVID-19 vaccines after he used anti-China rhetoric during the pandemic.
In a parliamentary inquiry into far-right President Jair Bolsonaro’s handling of the world’s second-deadliest outbreak of the novel coronavirus, senators blamed the president and his inner circle for delays in deliveries from China of active ingredients to make Sinovac Biotech Ltd’s vaccine in Brazil.
Ernesto Araujo, who was replaced as foreign minister in March, told senators on Tuesday that Bolsonaro’s disparagement of the Chinese vaccine did not impact relations with Brazil’s largest trade partner or delay vaccine supplies.
Araujo last year published an article entitled “The Comunavirus Has Arrived” where he argued that the novel coronavirus was part of a plan for global domination.
Some additional quotes by Katia Abreu because the article doesn’t do it justice:
“You are a compulsive denialist, negligent! You at the Ministry of Foreign Relations were a compass that led us to chaos, to an iceberg, to a shipwreck, a compass that led us to the sinking of international politics, of Brazilian foreign policy!”
“You criticized our proximity to China, Europe, the BRICS, and the countries of Latin America. You are indeed a very bold man, very brave. At some point, did you remember that you were throwing all the years of Brazilian diplomacy into the sea?”
“It’ss very sad! Precisely China so attacked, Tedros Adhanom so attacked, the Biden Government so attacked, and today we are at the mercy of these people that you supported and helped attack with such force - at the door, humiliating ourselves and asking for vaccines. I don't mind humiliating myself, now, you owe the country an apology!”
“I figure you have a selective memory, not to mention a frivolous memory. You do not remember anything that matters and what actually happened; and remember minimal, superfluous, and even untrue matters, like you have been doing here all this time. The impression we have is that there is an Ernesto who speaks to us, whose voice we hear, and another Ernesto that I don't know where it is, on the social networks, on the internet, in the articles, on the blogs, saying totally different things.”
