In its original conception, the comic was going to be illustrated by hand carved stamps (I worked for a JA owned rubber stamp company through all of college and a bit beyond). I also snuck out to the "annex" (my studio in exile) this afternoon to get some pics of my favorite handmade eraser stamps, which I'd promised Melissa @littledorispress ⁣ ⁣ These go back to the 90s probably, before digital clip art, when the Rubberstamp Madness reigned! ⁣ ⁣ In fact I helped Leavenworth Jackson get her stamps online in 1994 or 95, the very first artist's (or any?) rubberstamp website! She is still there! Ljackson.com check it! ⁣ ⁣ The goose and the bear I'm very fond of, as much as anything because I actually drew them from my own studies. I still have this evil devil on my shoulder that tells me I don't really know how to draw.
