I just finished reading a post which involved a perisex person trying to tell several intersex people that their experiences weren't real, because there wasn't proof.
So, because of this, fellow perisex people, stay in your fucking lane. If you don't deal with intersex experiences first hand, you DO NOT have the right to tell intersex people what is an experience or not. That is NOT your place.
It's DISGUSTING how it's so normalized to speak over intersex experiences, because perisex people don't experience them. Do you realize YOU are repeating the same exact CYCLE perisex cis people have done to trans people for millennia?
"Oh I just don't see it, it must not be real," or "I don't experience this, so it's not real", actually fuck you. Seriously.
INTERSEX PEOPLE DESERVE TO BE HEARD AND RESPECTED. IT'S NOT FUCKING ROCKET SCIENCE.

you guys are so fucking ignorant about intersex people that it's insane. you have this view of intersex women fitting neatly into some stereotype of "regular afab with pcos" and you clearly have no fucking clue how AGAB is determined. i do understand the frustration with terms being misappropriated, this happens all the time for mixed poc as well, but when you turn the whole thing into a witch hunt based entirely off of deeply intersexist assumptions on how being intersex can work, you show that you're just as disgusted with us as cis perisex people are. we are nothing but a gotcha to you.
anyway when i defend "afab tma" and "afab transfems" im defending intersex women who had their sex reassigned at birth against their will and still materially live as trans women, i'm defending intersex women whose circumstances you do not understand that materially live as trans women, and im defending intersex women who do not have an assigned sex at birth and chose one based on factors you don't know or understand that materially live as trans women, and i'm defending intersex women who have self identified as "afab" based on their personal perceptions of their body rather than their legally assigned sex that still materially live as trans women.
"if your experience can be neatly described as cafab--" is just so revealing as to how little any of you know about how AGAB is actually assigned for intersex infants. there is no one standard. it comes down to the whims of your parents or doctor and no two people have the exact same experience. there are thousands of ways to be intersex.
you need to stop making assumptions about someone else's body and history and lived experiences based on what YOU imagine "cafab" is supposed to mean, or what it meant for the token intersex person in your friend group. it's not about "oooh we get mistaken for trannies sometimes" it's about materially living the same fucking experiences and circumstances as a trans women, being denied the option of being cis, being materially treated as trans without exception for our entire lives, and pointing out that women with this experience exist. to claim otherwise is as simple as saying you believe intersex women are inherently liars.

Note
Being both nonbinary and intersex and ppl saying “do your cis then” like- NO!!
nonbinary isn’t the same thing as being intersex and don’t erase my trans-ness like that
intersex is my bio sex, nonbinary is my gender identity. Being intersex and nonbinary isn’t the same as being cis, stop trying to erase my trans identity
(none of this is directed at this blog, just venting)
People are so awful about intersexuality, and a lot of them turn hostile when intersex people try to explain things. I’m not intersex but I still notice it, so I can’t imagine how rough it must be. I hope you find some more spaces that aren’t the worst, anon

really, really, really wish that tmascs' conclusion to "man Bad woman Good" gender essentialism wasn't that "actually Both Good" or even!!! (alas, many such cases) "woman Bad man Good". like i wish it was recognized that the dichotomy of manhood & womanhood as we know it are arbitrary perisexist cissexist ideals that extend harm to everyone, and if we can agree that white women are often upset that they don't have the same power(!) as their white men compatriots & benefit from/can escape the suffocation of their (still idealized btw) womanhood thro misogyny towards racialized women, then we can agree that tmascs derive a certain power from masculinity/manhood & are structurally/socially capable of violence against women, even tfems, and must constantly put effort into undoing their transmisogyny, just as other cis women & men!!!!!! this is called being exempt from transmisogyny. btw. & thinking that anyone assigned female can't be oppressive towards one assigned male, or thinking those camab can't possibly ever have to deal with being oppressed for have an uterus & banned from repro rights etc. etc. and basically being victims of misogyny, is biological/sex essentialism. btw.

I relatively rarely get misgendered by cis dyadic people, especially ones that claim to be allies. Ive almost never been able to talk a dyadic trans person into respecting my identity. This is fucked up

it’s not transphobic to talk about intersex issues without also mentioning the needs of dyadic trans people. I say this a trans person myself. we are allowed to talk about being intersex without wanting another dyadic trans person coming along and making it about themselves

tbh i think all trans people experience a lot of the stuff that’s generally labelled under Being A Thing That Happens To This Specific Group Of Trans People- fully intentionally and not mistaking them for another group- just to varying degrees. and i'm obviously not talking about really specific shit bc that can vary but like in general. all trans people experience, to some degree, every sort of dehumanisation. they’re all demonised, sexualised, infantilised, erased, ect. and trying to make a judgement that one group of trans people is never subject to something so broad isn’t helpful. i've seen posts calling for violent sexual assault of every single possible kind of trans person. not assuming they’re something else, but specifically targeting them for their specific identity. i've seen posts erasing and misgendering famous and historical trans people of all genders. i've seen posts treating all possible kinds of trans people as poor mentally ill people being manipulated. this isn’t to say there isn’t transphobia targeted at certain groups- obviously there is, that’d be stupid to deny. but i think claiming such broad categories of dehumanisation only happen to one specific type of trans person is unhelpful, even if they vary in the specifics and that can be helpful to discuss.

It’s so funny because Mr Peterson was actually so willing to go along with people’s antics PROVIDED (❗️❗️❗️) that they take proper precautions. Kids want to do Song For Christmas? If the Headmistress said so, it’d fine by him! After the bus? Kidnapping aside, he’s mad that Mr Poppy didn’t have the foresight to fuel up and threw his phone away so he couldn’t contact his pregnant wife. Kids want to canoe down the river? Not only is he reasonably afraid of water, but he would rather the baby (WHICH NO ONE KNEW WHOSE IT WAS BECAUSE A CHILD TOOK IT) has a helmet. There’s a big mountain between the, and the competition? Well, the least they should do is walk around it. They end up going over it and the kids convince him to let them and a donkey scale down, which ACTIVELY ENDANGERS ONE OF THEM (and I’m convinced a part of Mr Peterson agreed just for a chance to abandon Mr Poppy).
It’s actually risible that the film tries to compare him wanting everyone to have a safe, prepared and fun trip is comparable to the literal abuse his father acted upon him.

You're daily reminder that intersex and non binary are not interchangeable terms, but different things (which can overlap).
Sincerely, your friendly neighbourhood endosex nb.
