"Yeah, mostly from record labels. Rise, Hopeless, Bridge 9, SideOneDummy, Fearless... major labels, too, Atlantic and Geffen come to mind. I'm pretty comfortable with how things are with Equal Vision, so I don't really wanna jump into a partnership that might end up makin' me miserable. I've thought of maybe joining up with Epitapth or Fat one of these days, but they're all the way out west, so that kinda puts me off it. Honestly, if I had to pick one label we'd be most likely to switch over to, it'd be Pure Noise, but... again, I just don't see it happening anytime soon."

F yes!  New Menzingers!  Always stoked for new Menzingers.  And it’s a good song.  Not a great song but it’s good.  And it looks like they have a new album coming in October, which gave me two immediate thoughts.  The first is that I think this is kind of an important album for them.  “Hello Exile” will be their sixth studio album and fourth for Epitaph.  Chamberlain Waits and On The Impossible Past are both classic albums in my opinion. Rented World was...ugh I don’t know, I just didn’t like it.  They definitely bounced back with After The Party but even with as good as that record is, it somehow didn’t really seem to propel them forward.  “After The Party” was an amazing video and one of their best songs ever and has the same 1.5 million youtube views “I Don’t Want To Be An Asshole Anymore” from Rented World has.  I guess my point is I think this is kind of a “Prove it” record for them.  It’s a record to prove The Menzingers haven’t already written their best songs and that not only should I continue to pay attention to the music they make, but people that have never heard them before should start paying attention too.  And my second thought was “Fucking October?!”  Jesus, are we still doing fucking three month roll-outs?  I know punk rock is usually up it’s own ass but you’d think they would have adapted to how like literally everyone else releases music these days.  Fuck you trickling out an album’s three best songs over the course of as many months.  Just drop the fucking album if it’s in the can or if you’re dropping the first single, don’t make the release more than a month away.  These fucking kids do not have the attention span for you to slowly build anticipation for an album the way you used to.
