yeah sure, i'll tell you something that repeatedly pisses me off to no end:
images shamelessly stolen from here
when catra haters say this type of dialogue is a good example of her "abuse"
it's lighthearted affection, playful bantering! many friends bully each other this way all the time for the laughs; i know i always have and nobody minded!
some people may not like it, and that's fine, you don't have to! but your opinion does not change how the characters canonically feel about it. if adora happily takes it without strife and understands the intention in the moment, then there is no issue. you could argue that she calls herself an idiot the episode after she rescues catra from prime's ship, but i genuinely believe that's just a result of her being too harsh toward herself all the time anyway without any influence from catra. even when she didn't have to worry about her as an enemy throughout her average days in bright moon, she still kept that weight burdened on her shoulders regardless.
such an example of the criticism i'm referring to is someone complaining in this reddit post, albeit not necessarily from an anti since they seem to simply not understand and therefore disapprove based on their own personal feelings about the situation among the replies. there's also this comment, which adds some objective truth to catra's partial-insult.
as another individual pointed out, throughout the first seasons it came from more of a "duh! how do you not get it?" condescending attitude (think of adora's final revelation in 01x02 that the horde was evil while catra had known her whole life, and later on in 03x03 when catra points out how silly it sounds to admit you'd listen blindly to anything an old hologram has to say ─ even if it did happen to be correct), but i also added that when it comes to season five it originates more from a place of concern, hence upholding her half of the promise for the two of them to look out for each other at all times. if adora lacks so much awareness, she'll constantly end up in dangerous situations, and that's exactly what eventually ended up happening when she followed shadow weaver's manipulated guidance to accept the failsafe.
it drains so much energy from me to give this bad-faith argument any attention so hopefully i'll only have to do it this once. it's not worth getting frustrated over so don't waste your time trying to convince reactionaries that this trait of all things is what makes her such a terrible person.

Rewatching Merlin and I’m on 03x03 “Goblin’s Gold.” It’s mostly a comic relief episode, but something about this scene stopped me. When the Goblin messes up Arthur’s chambers and Merlin takes the blame, it is clear that Merlin is hardwired to lie. Even when it isn’t to hide his magic or protect Arthur, his first instinct was to lie— because it’s what he knows how to do best.
I don’t believe Arthur (and I don’t think Merlin would believe it either, if he stopped and thought for a moment) would have arrested him here. I believe Arthur would have helped. Taunted him? Yes. Exposed him? No. Over Arthur’s dead body would someone touch Merlin, let alone execute him.

John has no clue how to answer that question...
But in the very next episode, when Lucius has her under his control...
John is absolutely defending her honor, whether she understands or not...
He knows where this is going...
When he realizes his last ally, Rodney, is compromised, his first question is:
It's almost like the Storm/The Eye, only Lucius has invaded and taken over instead of the Genii. The result is the same. Elizabeth has been captured, and John is furious. Once again, he has to go it alone to save her and the others...
Defending her honor? Sheppard's always been better at actions than words.

On Gil Grissom’s devastation:
A few weeks back I had an epiphany about Grissom—except, of course, it really wasn’t anything new; it was just that I felt it. I really, really felt it.
Obviously we know Grissom is upset (disappointed, distraught, devastated, other “d” words, etc., I’m sure) when he learns Sara is dating Hank (03x02). We’ve already seen him go off and stew (while listening to his Italian opera) an episode earlier (03x01) just over Hank’s apparent interest in Sara. We know he doesn’t really respond well to it at all (03x03).
I kind of think of Grissom as a wounded animal during this time (actually, for most of the time before he and Sara finally get together in Vegas), hurt and flailing and very much not knowing what to do (and as such I think I may tend to forgive him his trespasses more easily than some).
But, for as much as I’ve always understood intellectually how he must have been really hurting during this time, I think that’s always been tempered by thoughts along the line of, “Oh, you big goof of a genius, she’d be yours at the drop of a hat—the snap of your fingers—whatever!” (This is not to say that I think Grissom would or should be snapping his fingers for her, of course!)
But then a few weeks ago I had the thought—the feeling—of what it would be like to think you have this . . . connection . . . with someone—someone 15 years your junior—and then to realize, no, in fact that person is dating someone their own age (Christopher Wiehl, aka the Bad Hank, is actually a year younger than Jorja Fox), who is better looking (not my opinion or Sara’s, but I’m sure Grissom’s) and basically just more eligible in every way (ditto). I was imagining if I were in that kind of position in my own life, and I have to say that I would just be so, so devastated (and, honestly, so, so, so humiliated).
And then you remember that it’s Grissom, who’s always being told that he’s terrible at dealing with people, who’s completely convinced of his own ineptitude and unsuitability for love and relationships, who’s convinced he’s this dark character that he really isn’t.
So he’s madly in love with Sara, but he thinks she’s 1000 times too good for him, and he’s satisfied himself with having just this work thing with her, because he’s 100% convinced that he’d ruin anything more serious, that he’d give up everything for her and eventually she’d realize all his flaws and leave him.
Of course, if he weren’t so bad at all this, he’d realize that she’s just as madly in love with him, that she’d follow him to her dying breath if he let her, that him keeping her close but not too close has been hurting her terribly, too.
If her were a bit better at all this, he’d see this. But he’s not. For whatever reason(s), he’s completely convinced of his own worthlessness—his own unworthiness—in this respect. So he has just been satisfying himself with having this mutual work bond with Sara, and he thinks they have this . . . connection . . . that there is something between them . . . and then he finds out she’s actually dating this young stud? He’s just this foolish old man who’s deluded himself that this perfect, brilliant, beautiful young woman who works for him and whom he loves could possibly feel something for him, too? (Sure, maybe for a little while . . . when he was younger and more impressive, as an eminent conference speaker . . .)
Honestly I think he’d feel completely stupid and completely heartbroken. I know he doesn’t handle it well. I know that. But my goodness his devastation would have been immense.

Hello, I hope you're having a great day! Just wanted to ask a CSI season 6 episode 11 question about Sara and Sophia's interaction. Do you think that Sara is still mad about Sophia being close with Grissom. Or is something else going on? Thank you for your response.
hi, anon!
i hope you're having a good day—or night now—too!
if you're referring to the scene at the phone booth, i don't think sara is mad at sofia there at all (though sofia is definitely miffed at sara for being "late").
instead, i think what's going on there is that sara is being aloof because reasons.
check it out:
within the universe of the show, the events of episode 06x11 "werewolves" take place primarily on 01.03.06 and 01.04.06.
when the team is initially called in to process the victim's residence, it is, according the call log on the victim's phone, sometime after midnight on 01.03.06. they remain at the victim's residence processing until after sunrise that same morning.
sara is present for this action, as is grissom. however, thereafter, sara quickly drops from view throughout the middle part of the episode, during the remaining daylight hours, as does grissom (after he attends the victim's autopsy with doc robbins back at the lab). neither one of them then resurfaces in the episode again until after nightfall.
since both of them are conspicuously absent from the action taking place during the daytime hours at the lab, i think it's fairly safe to assume that they go home together at that time and remain there between approximately 10am and 10:30pm or so.
why they get to go home while the rest of the team is pulling a double, we can't say for certain; maybe they've both already used up all their overtime hours for the month, or maybe they were coming off a previous double from the day/night before.
maybe they'd worked the new year's eve and new year's day shifts while everybody else got those nights off.
in any case, during the hours while they are away from the lab, presumably during the afternoon/evening of what is regularly swing shift on 01.03.06, sofia tries to page sara to come process the payphone booth. however, sara does not respond to sofia's pages until sometime around the start of the next graveyard shift, circa 11pm on 01.03.06.
now.
in s1 and s2 of the show, we are shown that not only does sara always leap to respond to her pages, but she also sometimes shows up to work even when she hasn't officially been paged (like in episode 01x07 "blood drops," when she hears about the collins homicide over her police scanner and shows up to the scene of her own volition). only in s3, specifically when she is dating hank, does sara ever respond late to a page (see episode 03x03 "let the seller beware")—a marked change in her behavior, contingent on her for the first time ever having "someplace better to be" than at work. however, once she and hank break up, she then resumes her typical "always eager to show up to a scene" mo, as we see in episode 04x14 "paper or plastic?"
—at least until this episode, 06x11 "werewolves," takes place.
that so, the fact that sara doesn't immediately respond to sofia's page and buzz right over to the phone booth during her off hours in this episode is telling—and especially taken in conjunction with the episode timeline, as we've previously established it.
the subtle implication is that baby girl doesn't respond to sofia's page because she's got someplace better to be during her off-hours than at work.
she's home with grissom.
most likely at home in bed with grissom.
she's not answering that phone for anything.
the sara of the past would've come in early when called upon, but the sara who is secretly dating the love of her life and is blissfully happy spending all of her free time with him isn't going to show up until the start of her assigned shift.
not unless she has to.
not when she's, uh, busy.
of course, given the whole "secret dating" thing, she also can't tell sofia why she didn't drop everything to come in early to work—hence her aloofness during her and sofia's conversation.
all things considered, i read sara's interaction with sofia as follows:
sc: (annoyed) “i’ve been waiting for you.”
ss: (evasive) “sorry. i headed out as soon as i got your page.”
sc: “really? 'cause, uh, i left a voicemail several hours ago.” ss: (momentarily looks caught, then awkwardly sidesteps sofia’s insinuation sans comment, wearing a false smile) “what’s up?”
she isn't mad at sofia. she's just sidestepping the real reason why she ignored sofia's pages over the course of several hours.
his name is gilbert, and he's very distracting.
and to that end: i honestly think that by this point in the show, sara has gotten over whatever old jealousy she used to have for sofia anyway, because, frankly, at this late date, there's nothing really to be jealous of (if there ever even was something to begin with).
even if there had been some spark of attraction between grissom and sofia in the past—and it's definitely debatable if there ever was or if sara was simply reading signs where there were none—grissom and sara are now very much together and in love and sharing a life, with sofia nowhere in the picture.
the last bit of tension we see to that end between sara and sofia is in episode 06x08 "a bullet runs through it" pt. ii, which takes place, in-universe, several months before this episode does. thereafter, there are never any additional implications that sara still considers sofia a threat. their interactions are just neutral.
so anyway, that's my take: sara isn't nursing any kind of grudge with sofia in this episode; she's just trying to hide the fact that she had her phone on silent and didn't check her messages because she was at home getting absolutely railed by her boyfriend.
she's dodging, and not particularly gracefully.
thanks for the question! please feel welcome to send another any time.

I feel like I want to post, not a 'rewrite' of season 3, because I do like the story and how most of it played out, but like a few extra scenes or scene add-ons that we could have gotten if the episodes were at a more standardized run length. More to show some of the relationships or traits we get told about.
Specifically to establish the camp as a home for Ej when not in SLC. He was so busy that he felt almost like a prop with dialogue in some aspects. Like he knows these people, two of them are his best friends, some he admittedly hasn't had a lot of time to update with his current life, but still.
03x01
Arrive at CSL (explain Val missing & general roles)
EJ: Where's Val? If you're collecting phones, who's setting up stage?
Maddox: flight delay, Val can't be in until tomorrow morning at the earliest. Dewey's rigging the lights.
EJ: you're going to spend 3 hours fixing those
Maddox: I know. When you're settled, stop by the office to grab your keys and badge.
Collecting the phones (explaining how everyone just has them anyway)
Maddox: if you really need it, there's a rotary phone by the barn, and some of the CITs have a key to the drawer these are in, but we do try to avoid using them.
Dewey (off screen): Gadget! This things broken again!
03x02
During Ej and Gina's talk at the barn
*bugle*
Gina: is she going to do that everyday?
EJ: be glad she waits til 7:00, Gadget wakes up at 4:00. ( Mainly because the hilarious parallel of neither sibling sleeping ever)
Gina: why?
EJ: it's so she can get things set up in time. The stage for rehearsals needs to be prepared, waking up camp, prep work for activities in the week. She's been a CIT since she was like 13, at this point, she runs this place more than Dewey does.
When Val and EJ are speaking in the office
Val: you know we own phones right? What happened this year?
EJ: a lot, I'm sorry there was so much going on at school and with college....
Val: you're fine, life happens. It was just radio silence for months then all of the sudden Maddox is texting me about some big mass apology for being a jerk and cheating and poisoning people? By the way, I don't think Maddox is going to let you borrow her keys to the pantry this year.
EJ: yeah that's fair.
Val: talk to us, especially if you need someone who won't take the problem home.
03x03
At the cast wall
EJ: Stage Manager, Where's Val? I need to talk to her about the cast list.
Maddox: Mallory's sick, Val is filling in for CIT for the sporting cabins, they're doing nature walks today.
When EJ stops by with flowers
Maddox making a point to time the two minutes exactly.
Rules of camping
EJ: Also, no walking alone in the woods, and stay on the paths. If you do get lost, stay put and yell out, Maddox will come get you faster than you'll wander back. No switching tents, so make sure you like your roommate.
At Ej's Tent
Maddox: let's make a deal, if you sing the ballad of shallow Lake, I'll come back here afterwards and we can sort out the set design. That takes one thing off your plate. I can get started construction tomorrow.
EJ: don't you want to scare the new kids, Woman in the Woods?
Maddox: I set up speakers, left a Gillie suit out and gave Crash two boxes of candy to creep around the fire during storytime, I'm sure people will get plenty scared. This is important to you, so let's make sure it goes well.
EJ: you're evil on Halloween, aren't you?
When Carlos and Kourtney are with Ej
EJ: Kourtney, there is no Woman in the Woods, it's Maddox. She likes scaring people on Newbie night. The russling, the screams, it's all her. Shes trying to get you to have fun.
Kourtney: making cardiac arrest contagious is not fun.
EJ: yeah, this is, unfortunately, Gadgets A-game with socializing. I think you guys make her nervous. Either way, she's done for tonight, so you can relax.

I just rewatched WE again… Wynonna and Waverly grew up with abusive drunk father… I got reminded of it in 03x03 in the scene where Doc throws the glass… by the way Waverly flinched and Wynonna turned around. However, I feel like its strange this was not adressed by anyone 🤔 what do you think?
To be honest it's been a while since I rewatched WE. But I do think it's a bit strange that the way Waverly and Wynonna acted was never addressed by anyone.
However, there are moments or plot points in the overall WE series that were never addressed or talked about again. IDK if it's because there was not enough time in the episode to add in an extra scene.
For example, Shae was never talked about again after she left or the scene in the season 4 trailer where it has Waverly's last name is "Gibson" and not "Earp".
This probably doesn't answer your question but I do think it is weird that it was never addressed since Ward's abusive behavior has been a constant theme in the show. So it's a bit odd that no other character talked or reacted to the Earp's behavior to Doc throwing a glass.
I think it would be a great chance to add in some more character development or back story, as well it could have opened some doors for the viewers to learn more about the Earp's past.

don’t get my wrong u absolutely LOVED this week’s episode and the Rebecca & Keeley storylines + the stuff with Zava but I am friending for more on the Colin arc we haven’t gotten anything since 03x03!!!!
My only solace is whenever I look back on my fave TV shows once the whole thing has aired I realise there are always chunks when my blorbos are not getting the attention they so clearly deserve, but then things always turn back around. Until then, I'm just gonna sit here observing how fine all the himbos are looking this season until they get more screentime!

The Illustrious Table of Contents
Archivist’s note: Entries are listed in the order they are listed in the manuals. Since I suspect the earlier manuals might be written before the seasons aired, any discrepancies in episode order vs manual order might be because of the manual order being the original order the episodes were planned to air, but I can’t of course confirm this.
I have marked episode numbers but have not marked season finales, as I’m not sure whether Nachtwacht had them (especially since the episodes aren’t connected with eachother through storyline). There are some seasons where I suspect that the last episode listed was the season finale due to certain threat level evaluations within the manuals, but in that case The Silent Twins would be season 3’s last episode, which isn’t correct; The Metentis was the last episode of season 3, and the Metentis simply isn’t season finale material. I have made sure to also include episode titles for the entry names that don’t match up with the episode name.

A little update!
Still pretty evenly progressing and about 23/24 episodes into each series right now.
Warehouse 13:
I have reached and passed the point where I left off last time! Turns out 02x08 was the last episode I knew, not 02x04 like I thought. I'm enjoying the episodes more now, maybe I was just a bit bored because I knew what was coming?? I don't know. Really curious to see what's up with Helena, because I remember people talking about her as interesting and grey, and right now she really seems pretty white... There's gotta be something coming, right?
Game of Thrones:
Starting to like this one a bit less now. Some highlights are Margery (I really like how she knows exactly how to deal with Joffrey), Daenerys (still like her a lot at this point), and Tyrion. But a lot of other stuff I don't enjoy. Anyway, what was up with episode 03x03, it seemed like that one had a different director or something, very different style and so much unscripted(?) humour...
The Dragon Prince:
I...... I don't think I was like... into Viren last time, was I?? I mean powerhungry tyrant is usually my type, but I thought Viren was one of the exceptions. Well, if he was, he's not any more. Uhm. You know who I know I was into last time though? Nyx. And still am. Those hips??? Damn girl. Anyway, pretty much everyone else I want to adopt. Soren? Ezran? Rayla? Callum? They're all my children now.
And I'm starting to question if season 3 was really the last one I watched last time, because that would mean that in only... four episodes Callum is gonna fly???? That doesn't seem like enough time! But we'll see.
Triple Marathon Status Report
Turns out I have watched almost the same number of episodes (17 or 18) from each of the three series by now, even though it doesn't feel that way. So far I haven't reached the point where anything is really new to me, for either of them, but I had forgotten quite a lot.
Warehouse 13:
Honestly, I'm struggling a little with this one? I kinda love it, but I also get kinda bored a lot. I understand that "artifact of the week" is pretty much the whole point, but I find myself not really caring about those mysteries most of the time. Character interactions and character development and that sort of stuff is much more what I'm looking for, but it's just padded with all that plot, you know? 'xD I think I had the same problem with Angel, now that I think of it... So many cases of the week that just didn't interest me at all. But anyway, it MIGHT just be because I'm still in the zone where I have watched it all before. It might get better in a couple of episodes, when I won't (even vaguely) know what's coming any more.
Game of Thrones:
I'm very surprised how addictive this one turned out to be. I really thought I didn't like it very much, what with all the gratuitous gore and violence, and it's true that I could do without those things for sure, but the rest of it is just so fucking interesting. Flawed people making flawed choices, leading other flawed people to make other flawed choices in response, and it all ripples further and further and forms a fascinating intricate picture. I also dig the lore. But it's early days, and I know the logic will start falling apart at some point..... not looking forward to that.
The Dragon Prince:
It took me a little while to get back into it, which is odd because I remember the first time I watched it I was super on board from the very start. But I'm there now! I think I even understand some things better now, with some fractured memories of meta I read the first time around. Also, the humour in this show is something else 'xD I love it, can't wait to continue.
