āBut when Christ appeared as a High Priest of the good things to come [that is, true spiritual worship], He entered through the greater and more perfect tabernacle, not made with hands, that is to say, not a part of this [material] creation. He went once for all into the Holy Place [the Holy of Holies of heaven, into the presence of God], and not through the blood of goats and calves, but through His own blood, having obtained and secured eternal redemption [that is, the salvation of all who personally believe in Him as Savior]. For if the sprinkling of [ceremonially] defiled persons with the blood of goats and bulls and the ashes of a [burnt] heifer is sufficient for the cleansing of the body, how much more will the blood of Christ, who through the eternal [Holy] Spirit willingly offered Himself unblemished [that is, without moral or spiritual imperfection as a sacrifice] to God, cleanse your conscience from dead works and lifeless observances to serve the ever living God?ā āHebrews 9:11ā-ā¬14 (AMP)
āBut God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.ā āRomans 5:8 (NIV)
āEven before he made the world, God loved us and chose us in Christ to be holy and without fault in his eyes.ā āEphesians 1:4 (NLT)
āPersonal Holinessā By In Touch Ministries:
āSometimes comparing ourselves to others leaves us feeling insecure, but other times it stirs up false pride. When we see others being mean, selfish, or lazy, we might think weāre betterāand deserving of a place in heaven. In reality, we can always find someone ālesserā to make ourselves feel more holy. But compared to Godās perfect holiness, every person is lacking.
The truth is, whether or not we go to heaven has little to do with usāand everything to do with our heavenly Father. He was the one who made a way for our righteousness, and it wasnāt in response to our behavior. In fact, God decided long before we were bornābefore we had the chance to do anything good or badāthat He would offer the gift of salvation. Paul wrote to the Ephesians that God āchose us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we would be holy and blameless before Himā (Ephesians 1:4).
If you find yourself trying to compare your holiness to that of others, or trying to prove to God that youāre worthy, remember what Paul wrote to the Romans: āWhile we were still sinners, Christ died for usā (Romans 5:8). Thatās how you know salvation can only be received.ā

āHe put a new song in my mouth, a hymn of praise to our God. Many will see and fear the LORD and put their trust in him.ā Psalm 40:3 I am sure many of us have witnessed two distinct ways of singing a song and playing an instrument; and one appears to be more of a gift or an acquired gift than the other. The Four Dimensions of God's Love: How God Loves You Completely
Paul spent more than two years in Ephesus, so it stands to reason that he knew people there pretty well. He preached and taught in that crossroads city so effectively that Luke says āall of the Jews and Greeks who lived in the Province of Asia heard the word of the Lord.ā (Acts 19:10) When he wrote to them in Ephesians, Paul mentions the four dimensions of Godās love as if everyone knew aboutā¦
