Boromir tells Eowyn and Eomer of his betrayal of the Fellowship and his guilt from his actions, explaining the ring’s powers and how he thought it could be used to help his people, and how the ring corrupted him with the thought of that. He also tells of how he lost the Hobbits, Merry and Pippin to the Uruks. (my Au where Boromir is saved from death, though Aragorn, Legolas, and Gimli think him lost, and he arrives in Rohan after being healed by the person who found him, promising to help Rohan in their time of need.) prompted by the fact that I love the idea that Eomer, Eowyn, and Boromir would be close friends, Boromir being as a brother to Eowyn and Eomer both. I just really like them as a trio, and then Faramir and Eowyn get married and the five of them are a little family. I just love it

She did shoot her shot with the soup, give her credit. And Faramir on the rebound is not the worst a shield maiden could do!

But I always thought Tolkien did her dirty. She got a great battle moment yes, amazing, but now she goes off into domesticity with a nice noble guy? Marriage? Kids? She’s a fucking shield maiden of Rohan and she is going to kick ass! Said my 13 year old self. Says my middle aged self, too.

But I kind of think she might be happy running both Faramir’s life and whatever province they get sent to go oversee by Aragorn. They’ll still be asses to kick and someone else will make the soup.

In Eowyn's defense if a guy who looked like that called me a shieldmaiden and said my fate wasn't to fade without glory I'd probably develop a crush too. How was she to know her soup was shit and he had elf pussy at home.

Pattern process. This one has been kicking my butt - as of this morning the dress panels are put together and I’m still struggling through the collar construction.

This pattern is from 2004 and there are no helpful tutorials on how to put it together and to say the pattern is vague is an understatement 😂 but I’m going to figure it out and you bet it’ll be in my final process video 🫡

The green looks ✨spectacular✨and I’m obsessed with it. I need to go get a zipper for it today and maybe some new lace…I’m not thrilled with the lace I chose so far.
